i’d rather cocktail with riverdaughter than taylor marsh, anyway!

A guest post by hireheels of hireheels.com and JustSayNoDeal.

Just how many times must HireHeels sharpen its stilettos this week?!? Rumor has it that Hillarista-turned-Obamanista blogger Taylor Marsh is talkin’ some trash about PUMA chicks. Blame it on too many Sex and the City episodes, but I pride myself in being a real girl’s girl. Sure I like mud, but only when it’s from the dead sea and being applied to my bod in a Caribbean spa. Slinging it at former galpals and other accomplished women feels kinda Pelosi-esque and most certainly McCaskillian. What have we PUMAs done to Taylor & Company, other than speak up for what we believe? Why must they resort to character assassination on mere supporters??Clearly these ‘mean girls’ have taken a page straight out of the Obama playbook. princess_wears_prada_thumb.jpgIf so, why? HireHeels didn’t ask the fleeing ex-Marshians to join the land of PUMA. They ran to us when they realized they could not support Ms. Marsh’s knee-jerk shift to, well, the jerk. And what they found was a sassy, safe haven where they could continue to support Senator Hillary Clinton and exercise their freedom of ‘choice’ for the remainder of this election.Apparently that position is not respected at Taylor Marsh. Funny, I don’t ever recall criticizing former Hillary supporters who chose to throw their support behind Senator Obama and fall in line with the Democratic Party. That is their prerogative and ours is ours. But hireheels gals know full well that principles don’t simply fall in line. Values don’t fall in line. Conviction doesn’t fall in line. People fall in line. Indeed, PUMAs start the line…and that line is snaking all around the blogosphere as it continues to welcome Marshians, Obamabots and any other creature alienated by Obamanation.A few months ago I called and emailed Ms. Marsh to invite her to appear at an event HireHeels was planning in Philadelphia during the Pennsylvania Primary. As one of her biggest admirers, I wanted to headline and promote her appearance at a cocktail party called “Hilladarity” for gathered pro-Hillary bloggers.I offered my P.R. services to further promote her show, because I knew how many women would have cherished the opportunity to dish with her “live.” I did not take it personally that she didn’t return my communications. Two months later, Just Say No Deal boasts well over 200 pro-Hillary sites and has created its own haven within a vitriolic blogosphere. Our media coverage has been so continuous and extensive, it has overwhelmed our modest volunteer organization. We are resonating with millions of disaffected voters and Senator Obama struggles to remain in a statistical tie with John McCain in many recent polls.Don’t blame PUMA for having the insight to sense the troubling signs within the Democratic Party. We didn’t fracture the party. We’re simply revealing its fault lines.I hope Taylor Marsh will let me buy her that drink one day. But ‘til then, my blog diva of choice is RiverDaughter, the ever-eloquent PUMA who blogs true to her convictions regardless of the backlash. I’ll be joining other PUMAs this Thurday eve at her virtual cocktail party. She’ll be serving up “Causmos” (for a $10 donation to HRC) and her usual sageness. No doubt we’ll all be a bit more shaken and stirred on the way home.

  • Joe

Me too. Who wants a has been beauty queen past her prime like Taylor who now prostitutes herself for whoever pays her bills at her website?

    • onmomnaturesside

Given that one of the “tools” of obamination is threats w/arm twisting, perhaps that is part of the reason seemingly rational people switch over so willingly. As his royal highness said today, he will use big sticks and big carrots.
He’ll buy them off and if that doesn’t work…then he will use really big sticks.
I think that may also apply to anyone who doesn’t
      “fall in line” too.
Sad state we are in. Sad.

      • http://www.justsaynodeal.com princess wears prada

isn’t that what the obama camp has done all along – if they cannot purchase you, they eliminate you!

      • JM

Obama knows what he can do with his big sticks and carrots…

    • carol

No name calling please. We don’t represent misogynism or racism. Thanks.

      PUMA

      • JoeySky

        Agree. That comment was tasteless.

      • Joe

What do you call selling yourself and your beliefs for money then?

        • boboBolinski

They call such people whores where I am from.

          • Hope Floats

We don’t really know what TM believes, but just accept her word at face value that she supports Obama as the nominee. She doesn’t have to get so nasty about it, though. I’ve never wanted to go to her site and have never been. Sounds boring.

          • beebop

Gee … and she crossed the road to support Barry. One more reason to hold on to your principles versus follow the pack and grab on to the latest trends, eh?

            • Mirlo

It’s her choice to support whom ever she wishes. What saddens me is that anyone, including TM, would accept rigging, bending and prevaricating the established rules, condoning a preselection etc, ie. undemocratic processes.

But hey, let’s not loose time over the likes of TM. She has to resolve her own issues, which are considerable. If she thinks she gets relieve by throwing mud, it only reflects on her character, not on the people she throws it at, right?

        • Joe

It’s one thing for her to say that she will help campaign against McCain. It’s totally another thing for her to castigate people who continue to support Hillary and then call for Hillary to be denied to be placed on the nomination in Denver just because the Messiah’s campaign is now paying her bills. I’ll call it like it is.

    • http://snunes.blogspot.com Susan Nunes

You left out her “investigative” credentials working for a porn outfit.

      • Hope Floats

Did she administer Larry Sinclair’s lie detector test?

    • mahaska

I never even heard of her till I came to this site.

      • http://www.justsaynodeal.com princess wears prada

        Mahaska,

        If you’re serious…

Taylor Marsh was the “sh-t” to female Hill gals…she fought hard for Hillary every step of the primary season…she has sass & savvy.

But she now assumes the prototypical behavior of Obama staffers, surrogates & supporters – rip apart anyone who dare says anything about Sen. Obama.

Don’t forget what Gov. Sebelius proclaimed — using the word “inexperienced” to descibe Sen. Obama is code for “racism” …

        • Annagain

Sebelius should be deeply ashamed of herself for this. The man served 1

        • Ani

Gov. Sebelius should be deeply ashamed for making that comment and pushing that memo that racism is at play here.

          She knows better.

Senator Obama was in the Senate 143 days before declaring his run for the Presidency at one of the most challenging times in our history.

“Inexperienced” in code for only one thing: “inexperienced.”

    • destardi

I was hoping Taylor wasn’t like the rest….

Alas, she is exactly like the rest.

Thank God there are people of a like mind out there; NOBAMA!!!

    • Mirlo

Let’s not get tempted to retaliate and become TM bashers.

If she thinks she can resolve her own issues by throwing dirt at others, it reflects on her character, not the object of her wrath.

Let’s not focus on the likes of TM, we have more important fish to fry.

She should think about about changing that “Democrat” though, if she openly condones the prevarication, rigging and selecting of a Democratic candidate. But again, that’s her choice, her responsibility.

    • BernieO

Taylor always said she would support the Democratic nominee whoever it was, but she fought for Hillary to the end.
My impression is that it is the guest bloggers who are being so negative about PUMAs but I could be wrong about that.

  • Cindy

Taylor Marsh could never be a “Hireheel”, just a heel!

    • Hope Floats

She’s just hired. (That’s not too catty?)

      • Cindy

There’s no such thing as too catty when you’re a supreme cat (PUMA!!)

  • Uña de Gato

Taylor Marsh always said she would support the nominee whoever it turned out to be and that’s her right, but now she has fully assimilated the O-borg mentality and is “lashing out” in a puerile fashion at those who won’t fall in line the way she did. But her most egregious failure is that her writing has lost its edge and she has become more than pedantic.

    • audacity

      i always liked

      pedantic

      :)

    • http://www.justsaynodeal.com princess wears prada

Una – this is exactly my point – I would never criticize a sister-blogger for her views…

it seems everyone ignored us initially, but now may be concerned that Obama’s weak standing against McCain (he should be up double digits) may be partially due to the PUMA movement…

      Sorry ;-)

    • GrapeApe

That very negative post against the PUMAs was written by someone named Christine, though Taylor was more active in the comment section than I ever saw her during primary season.

Christine had to explain and defend her post over and over it was so poorly written. It appeared that only she and TM understood what she was trying to say. The comment section was a regular food fight and further evidence the post was a composition that would have earned a low D in any English class.

TM gave her site regulars about 30 short seconds to change their alliance to Obama after June 3rd. She was the queen of “get over it”. But TM allowed Christine to take some pretty mean pot shots at some people who gave Taylor some opportunities of a lifetime, and, in my opinion, that’s a true snake in the grass.

      • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

        AB FAB post! :O)

I read that post, by Christine, and was horrified by the comments.

I went to her site (antipuma or something like that) and left a comment. I had assumed they were originally Hill supporters. After I left my comment, I realized I had stumbled into Obama territory. They weren’t Hillary supporters – always Obama supporters. So, not only was TM featuring an anti-PUMA writer, but an Obama supporter that was similar to the ones that used to attack during the primary.

I don’t know how anyone (TM) who spent so much time pointing out all of Obama’s flaws could now fall in line, AND even attack Hill supporters… I don’t get it.

        Party loyalty is over rated.

Party (R) loyalty is what got GWB re-elected in 2004.

  • simanov

    Off topic

Who is the real Sen. Obama?

It is becoming increasingly apparent that Sen. Obama, the product of a corrupt Chicago political machine, is little more than the willing pawn of those who have manipulated his campaign success, a “useful idiot” who has accepted the Marxist, anti-Semitic philosophies espoused by his mentors while he mouths the vacuous promises of hope and change without ever admitting that he dances to the pull of the strings by his unnamed puppetmaster.

Taylor Marsh puzzles me. In March she had a bright future, and a devoted following of loyal, well schooled, mostly well mannered, energetic, and accomplished Hillary supporters.

    She flushed it all away.

    • http://snunes.blogspot.com Susan Nunes

Michelle Marshall never had it to “flush.” She was hoping for the easy way to “make it” in radio, but the only way to do that was to actually work at a station from the ground floor (a pay-to-play gig does NOT count) and work her way up. Start local, work in larger markets, and then hit the big time, a process which takes many years. Unfortunately, she’s about 20 or 30 years too old to start in the business and has no expertise in law or medicine or some other field to take a shortcut from the usual path in broadcasting, and frankly, her frequently stupid comments on her podcast would kill off any chances for her to make the big time.

riverdaughter is an example to women, and men, everywhere. Harassed and driven from dKos by the vile scum who infest that site, I know whereof I speak, she didn’t quit.

She didn’t curl up in a little ball and cry.

She didn’t dive into a bottle in search of the bottom.

    No pills neither.

None of the stereotypical behaviors we expect of a ‘defeated’ woman.

Nope, riverdaughter started The Confluence and started speaking out about the Examination and his behaviour.

    And something amazing happened.

Millions of of folks started muttering, ‘PUMA’ under their breathe and then they started saying it out loud.

Now it rings from the mountain tops.

riverdaughter, I salute you. You are the model of what every citizen of this still great nation needs to be.

    • beebop

Miss Marsh kicked her values to the curb. And then her readers left. An HRC supporter cannot just move their votes from one candidate to the other. It isn’t that simple. Not if you truly supported Clinton.

      • Northwest rain

The Clinton choice is a COGNITIVE choice — not a primitive emotional choice.

I studied, researched the candidates and picked Clinton — and 18 million voters also went with CORE democratic values.

It was Taylor Marsh who talked about the lunch bucket democrats voting for Hillary.

When you really pay attention to what the candidates are saying, and look at their records — in this cycle only Hillary has the experience and knowledge of the complex problems facing America.

Also — as a woman I have seen the guy get the promotion, get called in class, get money for a sports scholarship, get better grades — get the raise in pay — simply because of his gender.

With the DNC’s selection of BOBO — we can be assured that NOTHING will change and in fact the next generation of women will go backwards. American women will lose human rights if BOBO is elected. BOBO is a sexist pig — dismissive and mean.

Taylor Marsh is like a lot of women of her generation — she is NOT a feminist. She makes that very clear — she may share some of the same objectives as feminists — but she is not one of us.

It is her lose — I feel sorry for her.

When you eject your core values — you are an empty person.

Riverdaughter has core values — and I am glad she helped start PUMA. She will have a place in history while TM will be forgotten very soon.

        • Northwest rain

          That should read –

          That is her loss.

          • onmomnaturesside

            PUMAS rock….and roar….

        • DoroB

Did TM say she is not a feminist? That’s a shame.

      • Fredster

Marsh became known for her strong support of Clinton. I found her from a link to a link to a link, etc. She was fiercely for HRC. Soon, her name and website got mentioned more and more and eventually she got interviewed by WaPo. Made a trip or two to DC.

Not long after, she started throwing hints that since Hillary wouldn’t win the nomination she’d *have* to support Obama since he would be the nominee, her (Marsh) being a good democrat and all.

Then came a screaming post from her THE PRIMARY IS OVER! Flip and transformation complete.

People left, drifted off (found the Confluence). The quality of the writing went down rapidly and at one point she wasn’t even getting anyone to guest post.

Marsh made whatever name she did make because of her support of HRC. After the flip she was simply one of many other lackeys.

Chorus girls rarely make it to be the headliner.
        ;-)

    • destardi

      AMEN!

RiverDaughter is the best; intelligent writing, with class.

      Who luvs ya? :)

    • Hope Floats

I bet TM is very, dare I say? jealous of riverdaughter, too. Congratulations to her for refusing to be silenced and giving voice to so many others. GO PUMAS!

  • OxyCon

Taylor is doing exactly what she always said she would do, support the Dem nominee, REGARDLESS.
Her website is called DEMOCRAT Taylor Marsh.
As for me, I’m an Independent now. I vote for and against whoever I feel like, and there’s no way in hell I’m going to be voting for Obama, or have anything to do with the Donna Brazile, Tom Daschle, John Kerry type Dems.
I stuck up for those losers and liars way too long.

    • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

Yes, that is true. But she had some hideous hack write truly nasty stuff about several PUMA leaders, including Heidi Li Feldman of The Denver Group who has been a tremendous SUPPORTER of Taylor Marsh, and defended her and been supportive in many other ways.

The hideous hack called Heidi Li a “pocketbook” for JustSayNoDeal in a post that Taylor Marsh approved, and posted, on her front page — not under the side diaries — on the front page.

Of course, they wouldn’t know that JustSayNoDeal operates budget-free, and doesn’t ask any of us for money.

It was a cruel thing to do to Heidi Li.

      • audacity

Heidi Li was her pocketbook for a while. she was always asking people to donate for Hillary and Heidi was matching the amounts and DONATING for taylor’s blog.

        • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem-not any more

Yes it is true..I did the fundraisers. A lot of times Heidi would match donations to Hillary with donations to Taylor.

I will admit it bothered me sometimes but I did it for Hillary.

I haven’t been to TM’s site in months so I have not read what you all are referring to. The comment:Comment by Susan Nunes | 2008-07-23 19:52:55 pretty much tells the truth about TM. I see others here are aware of her past also. She can support who ever she likes, I don’t care, but I will say one thing…When she would be interviewed by an online paper a little more truth would come out about about how she was double talking…or when she would go on MSNBC…she would be saying one thing on her blog and another to MSM..When we would call her on it she would get real defensive…people would leave and she would go back to supporting Hill for a bit…I guess the blog traffic would get slow…She is going to say and do whatever it takes to get ahead…She may have been respected at one time but I think she lost a lot of it during this campaign…If she is trashing PUMA now then she is trashing democracy.

I don’t know about you all but I am pretty fed up with about every democrat out there. Didn’t someone demand we fall in line? What is that? We don’t have a right to vote for the person of our choice in America anymore?

          • corage

oh well, taylor could have had a great run with her blog if she stayed the course. but, i dont’ buy it when she claimed to be a ‘clintonista’ and then later say she will support the democrat nominee. ok, i’m a democrat and a hillary supporter, but i didn’t all of a sudden switch because the dem party ‘selected’ their candidate. and taylor, the dem party does not have a nominee yet…ahem, he’s only the presumptive nominee…correction make that PRESUMPTIVE (all caps to go along with his big ego). so if you were really a ‘clintonista’ you’d still be fighting for hillary today…because we don’t have a frickin’ nominee yet.

but, taylor couldn’t wait to kick her habit of hillary and switch to drinking the koolaid with her obambot buddies.

well, like i said, taylor could have had a good run if she stayed a true ‘clintonista’. but i guess she was never one.

p.s. i’m no longer a democrat. i switched to indy on june 1. it was a sad day for me.

          • Hope Floats

The Democratic party is still thinking like it’s the beginning of the caucus season when either candidate had a good shot against the Republicans this year. They blew that by turning on themselves, and yet they act as if nothing happened. It’s sad and pathetic. Watching Obama run now (he’s such a joke) is like watching an animal run into traffic. “NOOOOO!”

          • http://OTliesvideo Lyn

Didn’t Heidi, give Taylor the tix to the womens event in DC where she bought the table and maybe helped with her travel cost to go to it too? Heidi is the nicest person, this makes me disgusted with Taylor, so much for loyalty and friendship.

            • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

Yes, I do believe that was Heidi.

That is another thing… TM always acts like she is BFF’s with Hillary. LIke she KNOWS what is going on inside Hillary’s head, and inside her camp.

But, she has to go through HLF to attend an Hillary event?

I think she inflates her knowledge, and relationship, and experience…. I feel bad that she attacked HLF.

Taylor allowing Heidi Li to be disrespected is what upsets me the most about all of this. She owes Heidi Li an apology.

Thank you for contributing to the Denver group! You are helping us all in such a major way. I read that The Denver Group is now onto its next phase, no more paper ads…TV ads are in the works now.

riverdaughter had such a successful fundraising for Hillary, it would really be wonderful if they could raise money for The Denver Group next.

Their goals are so in line for what our dreams and hopes are for our country.

        • DoroB

Yes she does. Poor Heidi raised so much money for Taylor that it hurt me to watch. I was so grateful for Heidi for funding TM, because I enjoyed the company on the site.
I guess Taylor can justify it by saying she is sticking to her principles, but those are some nasty principles I don’t care for.

        • http://OTliesvideo Lyn

What really pissed me off, was in the comments she tried to say what was said about Heidi was not an insult. and argued with people that defended Heidi.(of course in the comments her big compliaint was why doesn’t anyone defend ME, ME me me, just ugg, well maybe because she has been insulting her old posters since the 31st)I am so tired of people trying to tell us up is down and right is left these past few months, there was no possible way that was not insulting about Heidi, no matter how TM tries to spin it. I do not understand how anyone who believes Obama is even 1/2 the things Taylor wrote about, would think people would fall in line. I KNOW Taylor said she was going to work against McCain IF Obama was the Nom, but before she turned, she was even talking about having guest posters that were Hillary supporters who could never vote for the Fraud. I am so much happier when I don’t read her site, but I followed River daughters link.
I am so glad to have found Camille’s and Confluence the past couple of months. and even more thrilled NoQuarter is still No Quarter

      • d2d

Susan, I couldn’t agree more with you.

Heidi Li was a good friend to TM and to learn that she allowed such an ugly claim about her is disgusting.

Heidi would never stoop to such a level. She doesn’t have that kind of darkness residing in her soul.

My sincerest apologies to Heidi Li. I’m so sorry you are having to endure such a deep betrayal from someone you once considered a friend.

        so sad…

      • Northwest rain

I am sorry Heidi Li — you are one of my heroes!

        Taylor you are dog sh*t!

      • Leisa

        Yep,

I honor TM’s commitment to Dems, but when she started to sound like a troll, I left.

J at TL also is supporting the Dems, but as far as I have seen, she has not been as bad as TM, even though I have stopped commenting and only occasionally lurk there. I do not like the tone TL is taking, but it was bound to happen with the “current” nominee. TM, is off my bookmarks page, TL is close… only the great (and sadly decreasing) commentary keeps me there at this point.

What is it about Obama that lowers the discourse of his supporters???

        • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

“What is it about Obama that lowers the discourse of his supporters???”

there is nothing to defend about obama wrt his experience, or eligibility or accomplishments, so they only recourse his supporters have, is to attack.

      • JM

I read the hack job of a post that Taylor promoted on her blog, and I responded accordingly on the nasty blogger’s own blog. The blogger, who I will not promote by naming her, defended her nasty comments with “everything I wrote was true”.

I find it interesting that Taylor Marsh is now pimping newbie bloggers to promote her viewpoint. In my opinion, she knows that many her visitors have faded away to other blogs that are more receptive to their anti-Obama opinions.

What is really mean spirited about Taylor Marsh is her willingness to ridicule her former visitors who remain anti-Obama in outlook as dead-enders, and being “unhinged”. Additionally, she frequently puts their comments into moderation, where they remain unread. Her blog is frankly not worth visiting anymore. I hope that she enjoys the 10 Obama supporters that faithfully show up on her blog every day. She may be a Democrat, but that type of Democrat I fail to recognize or promote anymore. Toodles, Taylor.

      • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Now Heidi is an example of a woman with principles. She’s a law professor at Georgtown U is she not? Talk about putting yourself on the line for principles. TM did what for a living that would force her to put herself on the line by speaking out?

        • Hope Floats

I respect sex workers, but TM’s kind of putting yourself on the line is nothing I would want for my daughters.

      • OxyCon

You know, I don’t visit Taylor’s site much anymore, since there is nothing there that I am interested in. If she is allowing her “shiny new” Obamaton friends to attack Heidi, or if she is attacking Heidi, that’s pretty low.
I used to post articles of interest in the “Hot Topics” area of her blog, and I thought it was decent of her to allow me to continue posting anti-Obama stuff there after Hillary got screwed out of the nomination. But one day Taylor did leave a pretty snotty comment on one of my postings. I’ve been around blogs long enough to not take offense about it because, like they say about opinions, we all have one. I got the message and said sayonara. I did make sure to let Taylor know that her new Obamaton friends are just there to make sure she doesn’t step out of line, and that she’ll never be anything to those people because of her outspoken support for Hillary.

        • JM

Even to one particularly vulgar chump who goes by justlen. He has used the word “Cunt” to describe a pro-Hillary person on that blog. A complaint was made to Taylor, who then deleted his post. But I have seen him substitute the word “Coont” for the same word on at least two of his more recent posts, and that was allowed. For someone who “moderates” the comments on her site, she doesn’t seem particularly concerned about vulgarity. The only moderation happening on her site today is the suppression of comments from anti-Obama visitors. Hmmm… where have I seen that tactic before? I understand that it is her blog, and that she can do whatever she pleases. I assume that many of her former visitors have not gotten on board the Taylor Marsh Express, and that her “ridership” has diminished considerably. That’s too bad because she did have some decent blogposts at one time. Now that she’s doing the freaky Obama dance, she’s become passe rather quickly.

Message to Taylor: Dissent is not the enemy. The enemy is from within, and true Democrats realized this months ago. At one time, you did yourself. Sometimes words are “just words”. Open the shades, and let some light shine through, and you just might see more visitors to your site again.

    • http://hillaryclintonforum.net HereComeThePUMAs

And instead of just agreeing to disagree with us, she has leveled instults like dumb, ill informed, dead enders etc.

I think there was a comment where she may have even hinted that we’re racist. But don’t take my word on that because I’m not about to scour her sight for that comment.

Regardless, DNC and BO used GOP talking points against HC, now TM is using them against us.

      Pathetic.

      • alexei

Look, she used to warn the Democrats about the way Clinton supporters felt and that Obama and the Dems were proceeding at their own peril. She used to say she wouldn’t be working for Obama but against McCain and she used to say she understood if others didn’t come into the fold.

She is a hack and an opportunist. I guess she came on board for Clinton because she really thought Clinton would win and then her site got a lot of traffic because she was one of the few Clinton supporters. And yes, Marsh does owe Heidi Li an apology. Heidi really helped Marsh in fundraising and in traffic.

    • http://snunes.blogspot.com Susan Nunes

She wasn’t always supporting a Democrat. She constantly bragged voting for Ronald Reagan, calling Carter a “disaster,” which lost me right then and there.

      • http://www.madinthemiddle.blogspot.com churl

That’s one I could never figure either. I’ll admit to voting for Nixon (apparently only three of us did) but I saw through Raygun immediately. Frankly, I think he was a worse disaster for America than Bush because so much social progress began to unravel under him and he set the stage for the crap to come.

So Nixon was the last GOPer I voted for, but I sure as Hell am not going to vote for the Obamiantion or any downticket Dem who supported him before May.

        • onmomnaturesside

Actually, I think Ronald’s VP, senior BU$H, was running most of the show during the RayGun years. He was better at slithering behind the scenes than Cheney, but make no mistake. George H W was a powerful scoundrel and even more powerful than Cheney is now.

      • Diana

Carter was not a disaster. I wish people would quit saying that. Carter’s “whole” problem is he led with his heart. That doesn’t make his presidency a disaster; or him.

He was and still is a great Humanitarian. I’m just not sure he should have ever been president, and I don’t mean that with any disrespect. He was my Commander in Chief followed by Reagan.

Carter tried to please ALL the people ALL the time and it’s just not possible. He was a compromise/solution man. The people he dealt with were not. They were action people, get the job done. We’ll talk about it later. He just needed to be a little bit more agressive, but it wasn’t in him. It still isn’t, even though as he’s gotten older he’s tried to pretend it is. He cares about people, and that was his downfall.

However, I also think it’s the thing that has lifted him up the most since then. He helped where it really counted, but people forget about that. I remember we only paid about a dollar for gallon of milk. It was up to almost 2 dollars a gallon when he took office. 50 cents for a dozen of eggs, which were up to almost a dollar. About 88 cents if I remember correctly. A quarter for a loaf of bread, if that. I supported myself on 2 dollars an hour and tips till I left for boot camp. You can’t afford to support yourself on minimum wages today. You remember things like that when you’re living paycheck to paycheck or off tips. I’d argue with anyone that said food prices did not drop during his term. They did, and it wasn’t by a penny or two which helped families.

        • Diana

Can I also just add…please. I really wish people would quit comparing Obama to Carter. Obama IS NOT a Humanitarian. Not by any definition of the word.

    • elise

OxyCon, a lot of others began this primary season with that in mind. I preferred Hillary, but would have voted Obama. Five or six months into the campaign, I changed my mind. It didn’t happen all at once, just a slow erosion of my opinion of him while, at the same time, my admiration and, love really, for Hillary grew. TM saw those things too and blogged about them, but she chose to sell out. For me, it wasn’t a surprise. I loved to read the comments there, though I only lurked and never posted. The first time I went there, I knew there were others who were seeing what I had been seeing. But, I felt TM was an opportunist who thought she had hitched her star to a winner, but kept her options open.

  • Un coup de des

Has Taylor Marsh apologized to Heidi Li Feldman (HLF) for taking her money and then later insulting her on her blog? I have seen a lot in politics, but never have I seen someone gladly accept someone’s money only to spin on their heels and insult them months later. I find it all very TRASHY and shameless. Taylor Marsh should return Heidi Li Feldman’s money. And calling Heidi Li Feldman a “pocketbook” on her blog is beyond the pale. I am thoroughly disgusted.

    • http://noquarterusa.net/ SusanUnPC

Heidi Li donated money to Taylor’s blog? And then Taylor let that horrible hack attack Heidi Li? Wow.

      • Un coup de des

Yes, that is exactly what happened. Heidi Li Feldman fundraised for Taylor Marsh, and this is how Taylor Marsh reciprocates. Heidi Li Feldman even led petition drives to place Taylor Marsh on the radio. And then Taylor Marsh thanks her by referring to Heidi Li Feldman as a pocketbook on her blog. That, in my opinion, is the epitome of trashiness.

        • beebop

Sounds like Barry was the perfect candidate ultimately for Taylor Marsh. Under the bus, anyone?

      • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

a LOT of money Susan, Heidi regularly matched funds raised for Hillary on the blog. HLF invited TM bloggers to the Washington DC Women Dinner event with Hillary and attended with Taylor there as well

She should in fact have made a donation to the Denver Group in recognition of that and in respect for Heidi. To fail doing that and then follow with an attack particularly one referring to the purse, from which Taylor drew often, is atrocious.

This is just totally unacceptable behavior IMO. Beyond spending the night commenting on what we are talking about apparently, TM went out of her way to do a hatchet job on the ‘movement’ she has an interest in putting down thru a third party via her blog.

        • lunchBucketDemocrat

That is disgusting. Taylor Marsh should apologize and return Heidi Li’s donations. That is gross and disgusting, indeed atrocious. Just who does Taylor Marsh think she is? She begged Heidi Li for money, and then she insults her on her blog? Does she have any shame? Or is she that hungry for money?

TAYLOR MARSH IS AN INGRATE. SHE IS TRASH.

      • http://OTliesvideo Lyn

Heidi Donated ALOT of Money to Taylor’s blog. She was maxed out to Hillary, so as fundraiser for Hillary would do a match where she would match the funds for Hillary when we posted reciepts, with a donation, usually to Taylor. There were alot of matches.

    • BytheBeardofZeus

Taylor should not have done that, uncalled for.

      • fif

Me too. The day after the last primary, TM had a post about Obama’s fake (and sudden) compliments to Hillary. Taylor said, “What he said was very, very important to me.” It made me gag. She had been posting anti-Obama pieces for months, and he makes one saccharine tribute to Hillary because he knows he is the presumptive nominee and suddenly she believes he is sincere? Before that, she became scolding at times (we’re the same age–she is not my friggin’ mother) and there was increasing and hostile troll invasions that made the site incredibly negative. She kept insisting that she would not support BO, but would work against McCain. As soon as I saw that phony reversal, I was out of there, and I have never gone back. I am quite happy at Riverdaughter & NoQ, and many other sites (Heid Li, Savage Politics, PUMA, Tom Paine etc.).

  • cindy

just found this over at real clear politics.

From G.I. in Afghanistan – “We got more thanks from the Dallas cowboy Cheerleaders” than from Senator Obama

Cross posted from Miss Beth’s Victory Dance

You all know that Obama is on a “fact finding” tour right now. You would think (if you buy into Obamamania) that he would be meeting and talking with our boots on the ground; you know, the experts. Not so fast. Over at Blackfive is this:

This is from a USAF friend in Afghanistan:

    Hello everyone,

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘ The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened.

He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand, he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the Americans back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States . I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.

If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

    In service,

    CPT J
    Bagram, Afghanistan

Talk about a tactical blunder. I would be willing to bet that there have been bunches of e-mails sent back to the States from some very pissed off troops. No telling how much time they had to spend getting their base ready for the Great One’s visit; then he snubs them. And to think this guy wants to be Commander-in-Chief; what a jerk!

    • American Woman

He is playing President in his own mind, why should anyone think he would care about our soldiers now? ..He didn’t hold one hearing about Afganistan…he should be ashamed but he is so full of Nobama…We need a camander in chief that inspires and respects our soldiers…Nobama has no RESPECT…

    • jus messin wit you man

I’m sorry that the President of the World could not bring himself to show the troops some respect and thanks.

On a more positive note, my nephew just returned home -safe and sound – from Iraq. As part of his welcome home celebration, my sister (his mom) made a HUGE banner and hung it across the front of their house: Welcome Home Tim! Iraq and Back!

Ever since the banner went up, random people have been sending mail to the house addressed to ‘Tim,’ thanking him for his service and contribution. Even more amazing are the people – strangers – who stop at the house, asking for Tim, who want to personally shake his hand, thank him, and tell him how proud they are of him.

There are a lot of patriotic people in our country and Captain J, when you get home, I’m sure that you will receive the same kind of welcome and thanks that true patriots will shower on you.

    • Dakinikat

Sounds like what he did down here to us in New Orleans … He’s come down here a few times to give speeches at private universities. He doesn’t step foot in the areas where there’s been real damage and never talks to any of us trying to eke our lives out down here in the incredibly hurt part of towns.

Even John McCain did that several times… and of course, Hillary, and of course, John Edwards…. but NOT OBAMA… he and his clean shoes stay uptown with all the folks in the two rich private universities.

    • Annie Oakley

This is why I hate the phrase ‘boots on the ground.” It is too easy to overlook the soldiers who wear them.

Fluk Obambi, he is just an opportunistic prikk.

    • fif

I read McCain’s bio, and his father and grandfather were both 4 star Admirals. He still gets letters from enlisted men to this day who revered them, because despite their rank, they would often walk past the officers and go straight to the men to talk and listen to them about their experiences in the field, their families, and their feelings about the war. They were true leaders, BECAUSE they were committed to their country and to the people who served. I am not a hawk, but I was moved by these stories–the sacrifice, humility, and dedication of these men.

      Obama is a charlatan.

Janus the Two-Faced Roman God of seeming change, the god of gates, doors, doorways, beginnings and endings, but Obama is more like a revolving door. He goes around and around so much that he ends up nowhere. Not only is the first month of the year named for Janus, but also janitors, as they are always hanging out in the hallway, much like lobbyists. Obama acts so much like a lobbyist that he’ll never make it past the hall.

      • http://deleted AnninCa

I don’t think he’ll surge at all. The “independents” aren’t true Independents. They are very likely not going to vote or leaning to McCain. McCain keeps pulling in that group.

Ohio isn’t going to Obama. Last poll showed McCain pulling ahead.

That’s indicative of several problems for Obama.

He can parade his marketing stuff all over Europe, but the fact is that he’s not building his voter coalition here.

Today, the news is that more people believe that we are winning Iraq for the first time. Obama is on the wrong side of a big deal.

I concur with “hireheels”. I was forever grateful that Taylor Marsh was there for me when I turned to the internet to get outside of the MSM Obamania. She was indeed a port in the storm. I realized after a while, however, that she was more of a party loyalist than I and that some day we would have to part company. In fact, after Clinton suspended her campaign I sent Taylor an email saying I was making a small donation out of appreciation for her work to that point, but that I could not and would not support Obama, under any circumstances. I deleted her site from my home pages. Occasionally, I would return no so much to read her post, but because the guest posts were still running very pro Hillary/anti-Obama. Over the course of time that has diminished naturally, probably due to the fact that there are other/better outlets for these people. I have been curious though as to how the site is doing, or more to the point, who visits the site. Given that she was not on Obama’s bandwagon at the beginning, I wouldn’t think Obamabots would go there and certianly PUMA people don’t. Obivously she is attracting all those prior Hillary supporters who are trying to convince themselves they are doing the “right” thing by sticking with the party. I also find it curious that she continuously brings up that she is doing what Clinton had encouraged us all to do, support Obama.

The most irritating thing about these people though, and it applies to anyone who is a true believer; it is not enough that they believe what they believe, YOU have to also.

    • Amabo Kcarab

My story is similar–I found the Taylor Marsh website an oasis from the Obamamania sweeping the MSM, and I rarely missed a day to go to the site during the primary season.

True, Ms. Marsh did write early on she would remain a Democrat supporter no matter what the results of the primaries but also that if Senator Clinton didn’t get the nomination she would focus more on defeating Senator McCain rather than promoting Senator Obama. The about-face (which seemed to occur just after Senator Clinton’s speech on June 06) to actively support Obama was quite a surprise.

Like you said, I kept going to TM for a few weeks to read the pro-Hillary/anti-BO articles, but now I concentrate on the No Quarter site and some of the links here.

    • http://www.justsaynodeal.com princess wears prada

“…trying to convince themselves they are doing the “right” thing by sticking with the party….”

I LOVE this line – and I believe this to be true, right down to my core – in fact, I also believe they are the ones who are angry, not us!!!

    • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

I agree, same for me. However, I also loved the community of chatters. I engaged daily with the other marshians, but only once very briefly, did TM engage with me. I really enjoyed Scan and Grey and the other guest posters, as well as the sharing of info, links, etc. I left when she began to support Obama. I left because her content changed. I also left because most of her audience left, and they were the ones I *knew* and *chatted* with, not her.

But now, she is just downright mean, and spiteful, and a true obamabite. I am embarrassed to have been such a loyal visitor, now seeing her true colors.

  • d2d

TM was my safe haven during the primary. I found her site quite by accident, and after lurking for several month (I was a beginner blogger) I started to weigh in on some of the issues she expounded upon.

What was most wonderful about her site were the other bloggers. Damn, they were good. They were insightful. They were polite. They were funny. And so much more. In some ways these fellow bloggers became a political family so to speak.

So many friends were drinking the kool aid and I needed to find some sanity somewhere, and I found it at TMs site.

After the primary’s, I took a couple of week respite. When I returned to her site I was SHOCKED! Regular bloggers, those that gave her money, visited her site and created the rich dialogue were now put in the position to frickin justify their positions for not supporting the chosen one.

At first I thought it was a bad joke.

Then I read one of them challenging her for referring to those of us who would NEVER FALL IN LINE as fucking UNHINGED.

I challenged her to tell me this wasn’t true BUT she never responded.

There is not a thing about me that is UNHINGED. I witnessed the most dispicable, condescending, disgusting display of elitism or authoritarianism EVER in how they treated Hillary and her supporters.

I gave $$$ to TM. I spent a lot of time visiting her site and agreeing with so much of what she wrote. And I turned on several Hillary supporters to her website.

Marsh did say that she would support the nominee but it is just amazing that she could gulp the kool-aid so quickly without choking, especially since she clearly saw the dirty tricks that occurred during the Primary. we fascinate them. They want nothing more than to bully us to get into line. We’re girls who are withholding, our pocketbooks and our spunk and saying, are you kidding me, you did that to me, and now you want me to like it? Poor Taylor, she may as well have been a bot from the start, she’s a little late in the day to back the wrong horse. in this case the horse is freedom, to think what we like and to demand reforms where they’re needed. We’ll be on the way to a second class democracy if we keep electing only carpetbaggers and opportunistic egomaniacs.

We want accountability, and ability, and experience, and knowing where they stand on issues. We want excellence. We want the best. We don’t want words, we want acts, and good ones.

    • wodiej

      nicely said!

      BRAVA! well said Anna!

    • The Real Hope

We have to stand firm. We aren’t flip-floppers and cannot change our support and allegiance just because the political wind blows this way or that. I have seen no reason to change my feelings and opinions regarding Obama. Why is this so upsetting to some? They say they don’t need our votes anyway – right? So why the big bitching from them?

    • d2d

      Loud unending Applause!!!

    • JM

Please be aware that it is not only females that support Hillary to this very day. There are males standing side by side with you who want the excellence that you so eloquently described.

Obama, his supporters, and the DNC are a stain on the Democratic party. They do NOT speak for me.

Even Hillary may have caved to these party thugs, but I WILL NEVER do so!

  • The Real Hope

I don’t appreciate a woman like Taylor Marsh who one day swears her allegiance to Hillary Clinton and then without reason, suddenly assumes head cheerleader for the opposing party. This doesn’t say much for her character now does it? And why is she relevant regarding politics? Is there something I’m not aware of in terms of her political influence? Is she a monied individual with widespread charisma who can charm the unbelieving Obama masses? Snake charmer? I don’t know – why is this relevant what she thinks or does not think? Does she think at all in fact?

    • angie

She only thinks if you promise to hand her money.

  • Michelle

It’s really very simple – Taylor is trying VERY hard to PROVE that she is a really, really good Democrat and an amazing Obama supporter!

Even though we’re not fond of her because she is a turncoat – the Obamabots are not fond of her because she is a recent convert.

She’s simply trying to “suck-up” because she really wants to get on the “inside.”

Sadly, having lived in DC – I know that this is common practice among those in politics…it is all about “moral flexibility” – and the more you can go with the wind, the more you can be in the loop.

Taylor’s no different – she’s just another lemming.

    • Karma

Years ago I saw a segment on tv about DC changes with the incoming White House. Such as restaurants changing names of menu items to support the WH, majority party, etc

That those who are left in the minority party feel left out of the power about town they once had.

Like you said it is the ‘moral flexibility’ that keeps them in the loop and on the party circuit.

  • DisenfranchisedVoter

Riverdaughter is not whoring herself to Obama for profit. Unfortunately, Taylor Marsh is the worst kind of opportunist. Not only has she sold her beliefs and principles for the possibility of having her own radio show with the other media whores on Air America, she has back stabbed former supporters like Heidi Li Feldman because of their refusal to “fall in line” behind Obama. Taylor can do whatever the hell she wants but she needs to stop criticizing people who don’t need to fall in line and kiss Obama’s ass to get ahead in their career or earn a profit.

Unfortunately, criticizing PUMAs is the only way Taylor can get anyone to even go over to her site and make a comment anymore. I ask everyone to resist the urge and not even give her a hit on her site. Boycott Taylor Marsh along with HuffPo, TPM, and MSNBC. These losers don’t deserve the recognition or the cash.

    • motherinKY

Someone told me yesterday that Taylor Marsh is dancing for Rezko cash. I guess they are right.

    • wodiej

well said, when Hillary suspended her campaign and Marsh announced she was supporting Obama, I posted s short comment and never looked back.

I’m with you. Riverdaughter over TM any day.

agreed…my Mother has always said, stand for what is right even if you are the only one standing…and most of the time you will be….
Except now we have lots doing that!

It can be frustrating to do what is right. But each night I go to bed and lay my head on the pillow and go to sleep knowing I stood for principles, values and what is right.

  • http://Reddragon62.blogspot.com/ RedDragon62

Taylor Marsh always said she would support whomever was the Democratic Nominee. I will give her that.
anyone who says this came as a shock was not “reading” between the lines of what she was posting. It was there all along. As soon as it became apparent that Hillary was going to be robbed of the nomination, Taylor started to pave the way for her support of Obama.

What many of us that frequented her site found alarming was the way she chose to do it. She lashed out at anyone who questioned her about her decision and she belittled quite a few who did not support that decision.
Many of us tried to talk her out of this decision. She was not listening. Who are we to her anyway? We were just some readers who frequented her site.

I respected her outspoken support of Hillary then and I still respect her now for what she has accomplished in her life. My wife and daughters looked up to her and where disappointed at her quick reversal.
I do not agree with what she did. I do not understand how someone who was a fierce critic of Obama could all of a sudden sing his praises.

Seemed dishonest to me then and does so now.

I still peek in on her site from time to time. It is painful to see how this promising woman’s readership has fallen so dramatically. I think this is the reason she is now lashing out. She is angry at the wrong people.

I believe she will come out of this okay. She seems to be a fighter. But she will never have the respect she once did. Taylor, you had the world by the balls and you threw it away for a man without any.

    • wodiej

I second that-well said! I knew she would support Obama. But she didn’t need to throw us all under the bus to do that-the insults, etc.

I think she knew if we didn’t go along w it her blog traffic would go way down. That was a decision she made and will have to live with.

      • kenoshaMarge

I believe the vitriol comes from the fact that she apparently can go from excoriating one candidate to singing his praises from one day to the next. Not a sign of very deep principals. When other supporters of Senator Clinton would not do so it pointed out, all too clearly, that they would stick to their principals come what may. They highlighted her lack of principals. Thus the anger.

Did she actually believe that all the people that loathed Obama would suddenly become supporters? Even tepid ones? There was too much loathing for that to EVER happen. If she didn’t see that, like the DNC and the Democratic Party didn’t see that, they are none of them as smart as they need to be.

  • yttik

I used to visit Taylor Marsh’s site. I respected her decision to support the nominee. She owns her own vote, it’s her choice. But she sure didn’t pay anybody else the same respect. I read several things over there bashing PUMA’s and Hillary supporters just like the Obamabots had been doing all along. She simply joined the koolaid brigade and picked up where they left off. I don’t visit anymore.

  • http://myiq2xu.wordpress.com myiq2xu

  • http://myiq2xu.wordpress.com myiq2xu

TM must have thought she would be welcomed with open arms (and wallets) when she led her readers into Obamanation.

But she came in alone, and now nobody loves her.

  • http://redhotandbluepolitics.com grlpatriot

I have no problem with Taylor supporting the Democratic nominee. I do find it curious, though, how much some former Hillary supporters whine and lash out at PUMA. They seem the most vocal. Why? Are they jealous because they really want to walk the PUMA path with us? Are they jealous because they are now constrained by their own conformity to a candidate they dislike as much as we do? Dare I say, they are bitter. Who knows. Maybe they just want attention.

What I can say is that PUMA is fab. The movement is the best thing to happen to the American political system since presidential term limits (8 long years of Bush are coming to an end)! PUMA is sassy, sophisticated, and butch enough for boys. I’ve been impressed with how JSND has been able to channel our outrage into a movement that sizzles.

I’m with the girl in heels; I’d rather cocktail with the Confluence than Marshians any day.

    • Michelle

As I mentioned earlier – they now have to PROVE their loyalty to the Democratic Party…they want to get back on the “inside” but they aren’t trusted by the Obama folks…and they’re worried that they are going to get “iced” out of the power that they believe Obama will have (they don’t yet realize that he is going to LOSE!)

It is kind of like ex-smokers and ex-drinkers – they are ALWAYS the most rabid in their moralizing…

      • JM

Apparently, they all have something to prove.

    • trampkin

No it’s not jealousy. It’s control. They are true BHO followers and it is infuriating to them when other people do not join the cult. I have personally seen good down to earth HRC voters turn into mind controlling dictators.

Taylor Marsh once blasted me for asking if she had a switch in her heart to change from Hillary to Barky, then started moderating every comment that I wrote so that I couldn’t participate in the conversations. This is why this is a great site even the trolls get to leave their comments. Free speech is no longer an option at Taylor Marsh.

Hello Taylor, I hope you’re reading this.

Taylor Marsh’s one and only cause is getting Taylor Marsh a radio show and as much attention as possible. Negative attention or positive attention, it doesn’t matter as long as somebody pays attention. Like her new hero BO, she’d toss her own granny under the bus if she thought it might make her a celeb.

Poor Taylor. Sitting there in her attic broadcasting her pretend radio show to her dog, her cat, and a little table where her stuffed Raggedy Ann and Andy are having a tea party.

How’s the weather up there in the attic, Taylor? Has Air America called yet? Or don’t they have an opening for a magenta-haired aging borderline?

    • wodiej

    • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

vera, can I keep it “real” for a moment? I only listened to the “radio show” like twice and I couldn’t take “that voice”. lmao I think I would have rather more enjoyed listening to nails on a chalkboard! I did enjoy many of her written posts though. I truly did. That’s why I was so disappointed to realize that she was turning. I guess to each his own, but my God is she hungry for fame and fortune, fabulous jewels and such. lmao Maybe Kathy Griffin will let her co-star in “My Life on the D-List”. Woops, Taylor’s show would need to be called “My Life on the Z-List”. lmfao

    • CB

Another great one! Thanks for the therapy. I used to visit Marsh’s page everyday (multiple times) but sensed she might be a bit of a control freak. In that sense, she matches her new idol Bama. The shame is that Taylor seemed to have something to offer, which is not the case IMO with Bama, unless one is Rezko or Davis or someone trolling for taxpayers’ dollars.

    • Hope Floats

Maybe Obama’s uncle who liberated the Jews in Auschwitz from his boat is up there, too. Weed’s in the attic!

  • Uña de Gato

What I found so striking about Taylor Marsh’s conversion is that when she supported Clinton, she was not shy about pointing out the Clinton campaign’s mistakes. But once TM drank the kool-aid, Obama could do no wrong. Now she levels her sharpest criticisms against PUMAs and others who won’t choke down the juice. She has become a parody of herself.

    • http://www.sugarnspice.typepad.com Sugar

Yes, Una de Gato! She was very hard on Hillary. That’s why my spidey senses started to tweak and I just knew she was going to roll over so quickly our heads would spin.

I quit the TM in May and I never have been back.
I will not support DNC corruption.

Fowler, Donna, Pelosi – now Taylor – does it feel like a memo in action here? Someone is turning the screws there…
Taylor is as relevant as Zell Miller…use once, throw away.

  • Linda

I guess she is now one of the Bitter folks if she drank the Obama Kool Aide. That’s a known side effect.

  • trampkin

I love Riverdaughter and hate Taylor Marsh with a passion. Taylor Marsh is a turncoat and saw dollar signs in blogging for Barack Hussein. She doesn’t have principles, remember, she used to work as a sex phone operator making fat guys cum on the other end of the line.

This blog post is certainly lacking any creativity and is soooo lame. Too many SATC episodes or reads like an rejected Bliss article. I know hireheels is way past her prime so not sure why she is trying to sound 12. hireheels has nothing to do with what happened at TM. that was between RD and TM as RD used to blog for TM who stabbed her in the back. TM = Trash.

    • http://www.hireheels.com Piper

Princess of HireHeels.com was also called out on Taylor’s blog posting, so she has every right to respond. And I think that she did a fabulous job in doing so.

      • trampkin

I didn’t see where Trashy Marsh called her out. In any case..to each their own. Do you know SATC and Carrie with the shoe obsession? If you do, you know of what I’m talking about. It’s just bad writing all around. I would rather see Riverdaughter give her response here over this third grade tee hee weee PRINSTHES tripe. JMO.

I didn’t see where TM called out hireheels. I am just saying Riverdaughter was sought out by Trashy Marsh and guest blog posted on her site many times. I have never seen a hireheels guest post there. Ever. This blog post is very old like SATC with a woman past her prime trying to sound young. I see TM trying to be 30 years younger writing this. Do you know Carrie from SATC with the shoe fetish? It’s a bad rip off of her character. Be yourself in your writings and not try to sound like a little teeheehee grade school girl in Mommy’s heels. I would much MUCH rather see a guest post by Riverdaughter who RAWKS to take down TM not this garbage. JMO. I don’t know hireheels. She could be a very nice lady. I just think her writing sucks.

You know, I had a feeling she (Taylor) was going to turn pretty quickly. Just go back and look at some of the titles of some of her posts about a month or two before she finally did “cross-over”. She had already decided she wanted to join the “kewl” kids and stay relevant. Problem is, she didn’t anticipate that not everybody would be willing to keep lock-step behind her. I hope she finds some sort of peace because she has been particulary vile towards us. I made the mistake of peeping my internet eye over there the other day and had to clutch my pearls! “Well I never!”

Maybe that is why she is so pissed. She actually thought she held sway over those that congregated her site. She is miffed that a small percentage…And I do mean small…actually followed her!

She thought that she could deliver her readers to the “promised” land and found out to her great consternation, that she could not. Funny thing, free will!

    • http://www.madinthemiddle.blogspot.com churl

Leaders lead from the front, not the rear. If your blog merely follows the strongest breeze, you will have many people who are willing to follow you anywhere. Leaders stake out new positions, form new alliances, and sometimes create new political parties, and I think that is what all PUMAs want: a political party where all those old-fashioned American ideals (which the Democrats used to also encompass) are once again respected and there ain’t no bitches , ain’t no ho’s. There’s just people, working for the common good.

      • http://www.madinthemiddle.blogspot.com churl

Damn. Left out an important “not”
“…you will NOT have many people who are willing to..

I was another disappointed blog reader! I asked relevant questions of her and she started with the name calling

Why should I vote democrat when they hadn’t stuck to any of their campaign promises?

Why should I vote for Obama when he caved in on FISA? What assurances I have that if he gets elected that he won’t start pandering to the conservative movement -Not to mention widing of his Faith Based programs.

She didn’t answer called me names then put me to Moderated Posting.

    Good by Taylor —

Oh btw, she had some really nasty things to say.

Maybe she is jealous because her site isn’t visited as much by many anymore, I don’t know, but she has definately changed for the worse.

  • We Will Remember in November!

I have can not longer post at TM’s blog. My comments do not make it pass the moderater. Oh well. Taylor has saved me from going to her website. The kicker for me and when I knew she was on Obama’s payroll is when she wrote “obama DESERVED the nomination”. It was as if she had to write that before Obama would agree to bank roll her. If you go to her archives (I don’t recommended it) she blogged about every dirty trick Obama pulled right down to Obama allegedly playing the rap song by JZAY -I got 99 problems and a Bxxch aint one of them.

Taylor Marsh was not smart enough to hold her readers and make the plunge one way or another after the convention. I believe Taylor is just jealous that she did not think of PUMA first or have the foresight to know which way the wind was going to blow. But really all she had to do was remain true her Archived Self and be CONSISTENT she would have been okay.

So sad how it all turned out for her…. I think it will only get worse.

    PUMA.

    • JoeySky

TM made a business decision. And it turned out to be a wrong move because no one anticipated PUMA.

They all thought we would dissolve and go away after HRC’s campaign was suspended. TM thought the only way to go forward business wise was to throw her support to BO. It was a mistake because there was another way.

      The PUMA way.

    • trampkin

Trashy Marsh doesn’t care about anything other than money. Half the time I needed toothpicks to hold my eyelids open cuz her blog posts were beyond boring. I used to hide the screen from friends since i was embarrassed to be blogging on bad 80′s designed layout. I don’t need to get into why I stuck around. I’m certain it was the reason many others did.

TM cares about one person and that is herself.

    • Indyvoter

She always attributed Obama’s wins as evidence of him being a political genius.

Thank you, HireHeels (one of my fav websites now) for expressing what a lot of us former Taylor Marsh website supporters/readers are thinking and feeling these days. I, too, really respected Taylor for her very insightful commentaries on the primaries and the great support she gave Hillary throughout. She was sometimes prescient about Obama’s next move, or gaffe, and what Hillary needs to do for another primary win.

And, yes, she always said, especially toward the end of the primary season, that she was going to work to defeat the Repub. candidate, but she also said that she was not going to be so openly supportive of the Dem. candidate if it wasn’t going to be Hillary. I still enjoyed her site up until then, even when it looked like Hillary was not going to get the required delegates.

Then she went on major attack mode of anyone who wasn’t supportive of Obama—WOW! Quick changeroo! That’s when I stopped going to her website and haven’t been there for quite awhile—-it took me a few days to break the addiction, however, but no more!

What is it about BHO that brings out in his supporters the malicious hatred of anyone who doesn’t support him? As a minister and transformational counselor, we would say that it is in that person’s consciousness who and what he attracts. So, it is BHO’s consciousness that is full of hatred and manipulation, so he draws to himself those that are in resonation with that energy field of hate and vitriol. And also, he generates that in others. His consciousness is divided (as we’ve seen so blatantly in him, on policy/issues since the primaries have ended, perhaps because of his abandonment issues, ethnic identity confusion), and that is what really is very unnerving, unsettling. If he is in the White House (which I don’t think he can possibly pull off after the Repubs. finish with him), his consciousness would radiate out to bring more division in our country and the world.

    BO is toxic!

Thank you, riverdaughter, HireHeels, noquarter, alegre, Texasdarlin’,Sugarand Spice, HeidiLi, UppityWoman, Will Bower, PUMA people, JustSayNoDeal, etc., and all those who contribute absolute clear commentary, for not losing your high principles— you’ve truly been the inspiration for me to stay politically involved and sane. Your energy, activism, intelligence, clarity, humor and all good things have been truly a blessing.

I do feel sorry for those who have turned to hatred and attack mode toward anyone who is going “independent” or wanting to get the Dems. back on track and not supportive of BHO. They have lost their way and maybe their souls, hopefully, temporarily.

    It’s all about the MONEY.

That’s Taylor Marsh’s reasoning, agenda, and motivation.

She’s hitched her wagon to the Democratic star….and she’s just got to go along and get along if she wants a place at the Howard Dean Table.

She also needed to keep that blog of hers going, it’s an “audition” of sorts to gain her access to other media outlets. She wants to be like Wonkette, only with a decided (D) slant and none of that “assfucking” talk that Anna Marie Cox, for some reason, thought was so amusing.

Money makes the world go round, that klinking clanking sound!

I used to post on Taylor Marsh and left when she turned to obama.
I am dismayed at the treatment of Heidi. It was uncalled for and disrespectful. Taylor owes her a large heartfelt apology.

I am not so sure they piled on her because she worked in porn, but the fact she was characterizing her stint as doing “investigative work.” There’s the rub, so to speak.

      She constantly inflates her resume.

Her work in the porn industry makes it very unlikely she could EVER get a stint in legitimate radio unless she was offered a program on smut or something like that.

I never cared for her stance on porn; it was hardly enlightening or feminist.

  • Silver

If I didn’t have the Taylor Marsh blog throughout the primaries, I swear I would have gone nuts. At that time the environment was very supportive and respectful of both HRC and the writers. Not only were the posters fabulous, but many of the articles were too. All I feel is sadness that it’s gone in a different direction.

    • DoroB

It was very hard for me to let go of TM too. It was like losing a family member. I commented on her site in May that I respected her choice to support the Dem nominee and would be a loyal fan no matter what, but I did not know she would turn on her former supporters. The site is unbearable now. I don’t want to hate TM, so I don’t visit her site anymore.

Taylor Marsh is a turncoat and saw dollar signs in blogging for Barack Hussein. She doesn’t have principles, remember, she used to work as a sex phone operator making fat guys cum on the other end of the line.

That’s an interesting trade (no malice intended), I have to wonder though about the mindset needed to pull off that kind of trade, some come to mind :

    deceit
    opportunist
    dishonest
    gold digger

…….. all good traits that I’m sure Obambi can appreciate.

  • I won’t join O’s freak show

I wonder how TM can sleep at night.

  • VMorris

If you visit Taylor’s blog, there are only a handful of PrObama Obots, mostly talking to themselves. Any attempt at having a meaningful dialog is met with, “but MCCain is worse” , name calling, or insults.

They keep posting about how quiet it is. Hmmm…could be the independent thinkers gave up on Taylor and decided to not waste their time and energy talking to a brick wall.

I don’t know how old these people are and I don’t care. But it sounds so juvenile over there now that it’s pathetic.

  • Ani

Brava, hireheels. Well stated. thank you.

    A GREAT POST!

  • Ceit

Some of the posters outed themselves and admitted that they range from 19 to 25 –

  • Silver

Taylor went out on a limb many times defending Hillary when all the other blogs were ripping her to shreds. I think her intentions are good, but right now with her support of Obama, they’re just much different from mine!!

Having said that, I greatly appreciate all the other blogs and writers who are still supporting Hillary and haven’t given up hope and still carry on. I think they are the ones who are truly fighting for democracy at this point. —AND I GREATLY ADMIRE THEM AND ALL THEIR HARD WORK!! They’re the ones who are going out on a limb now!

  • VMorris

My comments are being moderated at TM too. Some make them and some don’t. Zieg Heil, Frau Marsh!!

As many have expressed here, it wasn’t so much that Taylor did what she said she would do, which is support the Democratic candidate. It was the way she turned so hateful towards anyone who did not fall in line and do what Hillary asked and the vitriol TM started spewing and encouraged others to spew that shocked me.

I mean, they give lip service to “unity”. It is total BS because to them, unity is only one way: we are expected to crawl and bow to Precious and question nothing about him and put our concerns and interests aside for an alleged greater good. We must admit our sins and error of our ways for supporting Hillary. And don’t expect any compassion or respect in return. Just send your dollars, give him your vote and shut the F_ck up!

    • DoroB

unity is only one way: we are expected to crawl and bow to Precious and question nothing about him and put our concerns and interests aside for an alleged greater good.

That’s a very good point. That’s not how I think of unity.

    • JM

You got it! Unity is a one way street to Obamaland. There are no exits and no way to turn around! You can enter, but you can never LEAVE! Sorry, I won’t be headed there because it is too damn creepy for me!

  • Rima

Well …I really can’t think of a thing to add re TM, whose big mistake in my book was the instant trashing of those who did NOT follow her instantly into BO adoration…..but it is nice to see some familiar names again.

TM sold out and madea really bad call in the process, and her allowing Heidi Li to be attacked and described as “the pocketbook” is just beyond tacky when TM herself was reaching into that same pocketbook as deeply and often as she could.

    There. I feel better now.

  • Rima

I should perhaps add that I almost never ead what TM said…I read the posts from others.

The place is now pathetic and seems to be dominated by a few folks who must set endless at theri computers spitting out insults, or…there are a couple guys who sound at post adolescent who keep postign endless “humrous” one liners. It’s not jsut the average age that has dropped there, the average IQ seems to have also taken a tumble and it’s just endless name calling, no subtance.

Too bad, really, but it was her call to allow the endless trash talk against those who once were her core supporters, and then engage in it herself. She gets to live with the results.

  • Susan

Look, I’m disappointed in the Taylor Marsh position, too. But, the majority of the comments here are way too harsh. I still go to HuffPost and other Obama sites to try to understand the position that is being sold by Obama and his folks. Most of the other sites opinions and reader comments are cruel to those of us who know that the media has given the Primary to Obama and are in the process of trying to elect him in the General.

I hate to read the harsh stuff about us; how we cannot support Obama and are (fill in the blank with the worst negative possible).

I do not expect to read those same things here.

Hillary is supporting Obama and may have negotiated to get $$$ to help pay off her debt in return for her support. I assume that’s how things are done and I’m not insulted by that.

So Taylor can support Obama for all I care.

I vote the person more than party, anyway. I bet most people do as well.

    • Hope Floats

Hillary’s debt has been held over her head, as well as her job in the Senate, to make her support Obama now. She is a party loyalist and pragmatist, also. Since the primaries are over, she has suspended her campaign and not released her delegates. Obama and supporters have only paid $100,000 toward Hillary’s debt. There is no quid pro quo there that has been explicitly mentioned or implied. I read that Hillary has assumed $13 million of her debt herself. She still has money from her GE war chest that those donors can request at the end of August per the FEC or assign to her “2012 Senate campaign” (read: her debt.)

Alexia ratings indicate that Taylor Marsh has lost the majority of her blog traffic. That’s why she is so upset that people didn’t stay with her. Seems like she should have come with us. Oh well, I don’t like going to Taylor Marsh anymore. Staying with the DNC just destroyed her and her radio show.

  • bmc

Taylor Marsh is sorta like Barack Obama in the sense that she’s an opportunist who doesn’t have any core principles guiding her except self-aggrandizement for Taylor Marsh. She calculates what will get her attention; she inflates her own “insider” status; and she uses people to get what she wants, but the minute she’s gotten what she wants and they aren’t useful to her, she tosses ‘em under the bus.

    Taylor Marsh is a USER.

I don’t respect Taylor Marsh at all anymore. She tossed Heidi Li under the bus, and is smearing other Democrats who don’t follow her diktats to “do what I say.”

Marsh has been caught talking out of both sides of her mouth MANY TIMES. I laugh now that PUMA and JUST SAY NO DEAL is getting so much press, because I suspect TAYLOR MARSH is just green with envy about it.

  • alee21

I visited the TM site a few times but never commented there. There were pages of photos of TM at various stages of her life. Just a bit self promoting.
Unlike most of the other bloggers, Taylor Marsh’s “career” is her blog; so that probably explains a lot.

  • glennmcgahhee

It was the Obamanots that began trashing Taylor Marsh and called out that she had once done some work for a pornography outfit or something like that. They really piled on to her. I didn’t really know or care what they were saying about her.BUT, I did see her do an about-face in supporting the presumptive nominee all of a sudden even though we haven’t had the convention yet. After she had been trashed over and over again. Its like she forgot everything she had written about previously. I have to think its all about the money. Does she think that she will become the darling of the Obama supporters all of a sudden? Or is it that she has to trash the PUMAs to try and prove to Obama that she can be another Rachel Maddow or whatever the woman’s name is that used all that profanity in bashing Hillary during one of Obama’s fundraisers in SF. Some people do have scruples and conviction.

    • http://snunes.blogspot.com Susan Nunes

Taylor Marsh is a Democratic Party partisan. She has chosen to put party above personality. I don’t agree with her choice and have written extensively of the danger to our country when people choose that direction. That being said, her website is her own, her beliefs are hers to hold, her control of what is said and remains up on her website her choice to make, which makes her neither a whore or any of the other unfortunate names she’s being called here…just a party parrot.

No she isn’t. Her vote for Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter proves that.

She never ceases bragging about it. Never mind Reagan’s follies helped set the state for Bush II.

  • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

I think the reason TM is pissed is because she thought by switching to Obama, she would maintain her traffic.

Then, when we all bailed, her site because a small circle of obama supporters, with some lingering Hill supporters, still trying to support Hillary.

Now, the PUMA movement has taken off, Taylor’s site is lost underneath ALL of the other pro-Obama sites, and she can’t get a hook, to lure people in.

So, she has to attack PUMA’s, because she is now realizing that PUMA’s are a force to be reckoned with. We aren’t just a couple of dried up ol’ bitties. PUMAs are getting a lot of media attention, attention that TM wants.

So, when she attacks PUMA’s, her traffic goes up.

She choose to support Obama, as she said she would, but I think she made the wrong gamble as far as her business goes. She would have been wiser to go PUMA. That is why she is attacking HLF and Will – they are the ones appearing on FOX daily. They are the ones getting the buzz in the blogospere. TM just appears hypocritical, and a wee bit crazy, now singing Obama’s praises.

The media love affair, the Obama supporters love affair with Obama is changing, people are getting turned off. She now looks silly with her full on support, when a lot of other people are starting to question Obama.

PUMA is where it’s at, baby! :O)

    • http://americanpumainitaly.blogspot.com/ sarainitaly

Remember she made some comment in the beginning about how Obama supporters weren’t welcoming her into their circle, and *they were making a big mistake*?

They weren’t welcoming her, because she spent a year trashing him.

    • http://lesstalkmoreactivism.blogspot.com/ whoframedrudy

Sadly, this is what I learned from Taylor Marsh: Being an activist is a sap’s game, you’re going to get sold out. Obama, Kos, Taylor, they play on people’s idealism to put the bucks in their own pocket. Put all that activist time back into making money because when Obama turns the U.S. into a second-rate power, it’s going to be every man/woman for him/herself.

Taylor was the last straw for me.

  • http://deleted AnninCa

My 2 cents is pretty simple. TM was always a cross between a private and public blog. By that I mean that she ran off Obama supporters when she was pro-Hillary. Ditto now for PUMAS who post too much. I post rarely there, so I’m tolerated.

Private blogs have a tendency to moderate out anyone who doesn’t support their position. HuffPo is a BIG private blog. They put opposing opinions into moderation. They don’t judge the remark based upon any real set of rules. It’s about shaping the “picture” of the comments to reflect a phony story. HuffPo and TM will allow in a certain number of comments to give the air of open communication. But the truth is that it’s not open, and it’s not real.

I’m not on or ever have been on KOS, but it sounds similar.

Private blogs will always come and go, but they will never be a real source of journalism. It’s public relations. Usually, it promotes the blog owner. In TM’s case, it’s all about TM. Or it may promote the topic. In HuffPo’s case, it’s all about OBAMA. It will be a community for Obamamaniacs, nothing more. Talk Left is another site that’s similar. The site supports the attitudes of the owners. It is not an open, public blog.

The blog that actually moderates according to a firm set of rules regarding obvious slurs and troll-behavior yet invites open discourse will be the public blog of the future. Even on this blog, I’d like to see some articles offering challenging perspectives. I think that will emerge in time.

I don’t mind private blogs, but they only work when I agree with the blog owner. If there’s a split, then I have to move on.

  • DancingOpossum

Traffic is way, way down at Taylor’s blog. Where there used to be 200-300 comments to a post, there are only 60 to 70 now and they are 80% from the same ten Obambabot posters and are all, every one, invariably, unhinged tirades (or even worse, attempts at “humor”) directed at PUMAs and HRC supporters. It’s a mess.

I still love TL, where the criticism of Obama is very intelligent and the posters are thoughtful and smart. TL may support BO but has never let itself degenerate like the Orange Cheeto, mydd, or any of those other now-trashed neighborhoods. As I recall, BTD was a poster who was run out of Kosland himself, or left in disgust, so he may have strong sympathy with those of us wandering in the wild.

    • http://deleted AnninCa

I agree that the TL quality is higher than most.

I had no problem with Taylor’s choices.

Why does she have such a huge problem with mine?

OT — did you see that a complaint has been filed with the Illinois Bar against BamBam for lying? (check out my blog)

    • http://deleted AnninCa

Unless the person is willing to sign his name, that complaint has no validity.

  • doppich

Even after Taylor endorsed Obama, her blog remained relatively open, but for the past week or so, especially with her guest writers, she’s been converting her blog into just another Obama blog. I haven’t deleted her feeds yet, but I’ve moved her blog way down on my feed list.

  • DancingOpossum

Yep. Even when she switched she was reasonable, at first. But her tolerance of the Obamadrones has driven longtime posters away.

Forgot to mention another great site is Corrente. Doesn’t get nearly the traffic it deserves. Some very powerful Obie skepticism there, although I think it’s still technically pro-Obie.

  • DancingOpossum

Can I also just add…please. I really wish people would quit comparing Obama to Carter. Obama IS NOT a Humanitarian. Not by any definition of the word.

Agreed, Diana. I too thought Carter was a good man and a good president.

At this point Bill Clinton was up 22 points. Obama is seriously underperforming when compared with other Democrats and the generic preference polls for this cycle. Yeah, Obama is such the hero….look at how well he supported those in his district.

His girls were warm while poor folks in his district froze.

Can’t wait to see what the Illinois Senator has in store for the US. Considering how well Illinois is run…cough cough cough.

Nevermind the Gov wanting to call in the National Guard for the district Obama and Rezko looted.

There was this documentary on PBS years ago. It discussed the issue of reflexive biting in mice. The discovered if the population of the mice got over a certain number per sq ft. It didn’t matter if the mice were related or not, the mice would kill off other mice until the number went down.

So the govt wanted to see if this translated to humans. They pulled down nicer low income housing and planned to put up two towers. They then wanted to see if they put up three towers would the residents of each tower be against the other towers. Or if two towers would gang up on the other one, like siblings.

Also while building the towers, they decided since it was humans, they wanted it to look especially bleak. Cinder block walls that you can’t decorate and confined floorplans wasn’t enough. They put up grates on the open walkways stating safety reasons. When it wasn’t even opened yet and the true goal was for it to resemble a jail.

They then waited for the stats. The murder rate went through the roof. The towers ganged up on eachother and reflexive biting was confirmed in humans.

Obama selling out poor folks for the money men is like sentencing his district to chaos and murder. Those low income housing are just as spirit crushing and violence inducing as those towers.

I will never vote for such a man.
