Taylor always said she would support the Democratic nominee whoever it was, but she fought for Hillary to the end.
My impression is that it is the guest bloggers who are being so negative about PUMAs but I could be wrong about that.

Everyone entitled to their opinion. PUMA folk no exception. Disenfranchisement and double standards spawned PUMA, amongst other things.

Is PUMA triggering fear for asking questions?

Can I also just add…please. I really wish people would quit comparing Obama to Carter. Obama IS NOT a Humanitarian. Not by any definition of the word.

Agreed, Diana. I too thought Carter was a good man and a good president.

Sadly, this is what I learned from Taylor Marsh: Being an activist is a sap's game, you're going to get sold out. Obama, Kos, Taylor, they play on people's idealism to put the bucks in their own pocket. Put all that activist time back into making money because when Obama turns the U.S. into a second-rate power, it's going to be every man/woman for him/herself.

Taylor was the last straw for me.

Yep. Even when she switched she was reasonable, at first. But her tolerance of the Obamadrones has driven longtime posters away.

Forgot to mention another great site is Corrente. Doesn't get nearly the traffic it deserves. Some very powerful Obie skepticism there, although I think it's still technically pro-Obie.

Even after Taylor endorsed Obama, her blog remained relatively open, but for the past week or so, especially with her guest writers, she's been converting her blog into just another Obama blog. I haven't deleted her feeds yet, but I've moved her blog way down on my feed list.

I had no problem with Taylor's choices.

Why does she have such a huge problem with mine?

OT -- did you see that a complaint has been filed with the Illinois Bar against BamBam for lying? (check out my blog)

Traffic is way, way down at Taylor's blog. Where there used to be 200-300 comments to a post, there are only 60 to 70 now and they are 80% from the same ten Obambabot posters and are all, every one, invariably, unhinged tirades (or even worse, attempts at "humor") directed at PUMAs and HRC supporters. It's a mess.

I still love TL, where the criticism of Obama is very intelligent and the posters are thoughtful and smart. TL may support BO but has never let itself degenerate like the Orange Cheeto, mydd, or any of those other now-trashed neighborhoods. As I recall, BTD was a poster who was run out of Kosland himself, or left in disgust, so he may have strong sympathy with those of us wandering in the wild.

My 2 cents is pretty simple. TM was always a cross between a private and public blog. By that I mean that she ran off Obama supporters when she was pro-Hillary. Ditto now for PUMAS who post too much. I post rarely there, so I'm tolerated.

Private blogs have a tendency to moderate out anyone who doesn't support their position. HuffPo is a BIG private blog. They put opposing opinions into moderation. They don't judge the remark based upon any real set of rules. It's about shaping the "picture" of the comments to reflect a phony story. HuffPo and TM will allow in a certain number of comments to give the air of open communication. But the truth is that it's not open, and it's not real.

I'm not on or ever have been on KOS, but it sounds similar.

Private blogs will always come and go, but they will never be a real source of journalism. It's public relations. Usually, it promotes the blog owner. In TM's case, it's all about TM. Or it may promote the topic. In HuffPo's case, it's all about OBAMA. It will be a community for Obamamaniacs, nothing more. Talk Left is another site that's similar. The site supports the attitudes of the owners. It is not an open, public blog.

The blog that actually moderates according to a firm set of rules regarding obvious slurs and troll-behavior yet invites open discourse will be the public blog of the future. Even on this blog, I'd like to see some articles offering challenging perspectives. I think that will emerge in time.

I don't mind private blogs, but they only work when I agree with the blog owner. If there's a split, then I have to move on.

I am not so sure they piled on her because she worked in porn, but the fact she was characterizing her stint as doing "investigative work." There's the rub, so to speak.

She constantly inflates her resume.

Her work in the porn industry makes it very unlikely she could EVER get a stint in legitimate radio unless she was offered a program on smut or something like that.

I never cared for her stance on porn; it was hardly enlightening or feminist.

Hillary's debt has been held over her head, as well as her job in the Senate, to make her support Obama now. She is a party loyalist and pragmatist, also. Since the primaries are over, she has suspended her campaign and not released her delegates. Obama and supporters have only paid $100,000 toward Hillary's debt. There is no quid pro quo there that has been explicitly mentioned or implied. I read that Hillary has assumed $13 million of her debt herself. She still has money from her GE war chest that those donors can request at the end of August per the FEC or assign to her "2012 Senate campaign" (read: her debt.)
