Join Me TONIGHT for the Debut of DCMediagirl’s Hour of Power

For those of you who haven’t heard the news, I’ll be hosting my own NQR show starting TONIGHT at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT. I hope you’ll drop in, call and write. Or just listen to me run my big mouth. Whatever works for you.

And just so you know who this loudmouth smartypants woman is, here’s my bio and a blurb about tonight’s topic. I can’t wait to meet you all in “person”!

DCMediagirl is a true Washington insider. A DC native, she’s spent 16 years working deep within the belly of the beast as a reporter/producer for DC’s most prestigious media outlets. She’s worked in television, radio, print and the Internet, covering politics both domestic and international. From Capitol Hill to the White House, Oklahoma City to 9/11, campaigns and nominating conventions, Washington D.C. to Islamabad, the ‘girl has been on the front lines – while observing and critiquing the Washington press corps in their natural habitat. She first hit the Internets in 2004 with her blog www.dcmediagirl.com. She was a regular guest on Air America radio, where she provided sassy commentary on the ups and downs of politicians and the people who cover them. Lately she’s been venting spleen at No Quarter.

Tune in at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT to complain and comment about the 2008 race for the White House, the MSM and the politics of South Asia.

Her special guest for part of the program will be the rudest Pakistani blogger Nail ‘em Up, who’ll offer his country’s perspective on whether Obama’s comments about Pakistan are being received and whether Pakistanis buy the “hope and change” slogan.

      I can’t wait for DCMediaGirl’s show. There are so many questions to ask … from Chris Matthews admitting on Hardball yesterday that the presidential race is in a “dead heat” to Keith Olbermann naming Katie Couric the “worst person in the world” because she omitted a minor slip-up by John McCain in the edited version of her interview.

      (That, by the way, is so damn ridiculous. If one looks at the FULL transcripts of Couric’s interviews of both Obama and McCain — linked in my story the other day — it is clear that most of both interviews hit the cutting room floor. On a REAL television news show, Couric would have been able to air both interviews in full.)

      It’s probably a translation of the French president’s words (which would be in French). Unless Obama speaks French and can understand the French President, nothing to see here…standard procedure to have a translator between people in these situations.

    ALERT ALERT…HAS ANYONE LOOKED AT THE FRONT PAGE OF THE NEW YORK TIMES TODAY ?

    AND OF THE AUDIENCE??????

    I just had lunch and was reading the paper NYT..and i noticed something about the picture of Obama in Germany and the audience..

    if there is a photogropjer around here..or someone good with graphics..this picture needs to be looked at close up..i swear there are people’s faces super-imposed on the photo..like real close up faces way back in the crowd..i mean like they are head shot photos..that have been cropped into the picture..i noticed it with many of the people in the back of the audience’s picture..close ups of the people ..that should in reality be obscured and not recognizable..but they are recognizable..in fact too much so..you can see all their features and details about the people..

    I remember bush doing this many times in the past..and with bad eyesight i looked real close to the picture to see if i could see any signs and then i noticed ..that i can see way too much of many people in the back of that photo..

    its a fake folks..

    it is bogus…

    please someone who knows photography take a good close up look at that picutre!!

      I noticed the same thing in the New York Post on page 2 and 3. I thought it was some camera trick of which I wasn’t aware.
      The faces like like they’re larger than Obama – rows and rows back. It could be a lens that focuses on the background at the expense of the foreground.
