Saddest White House Doggie Christmas Picture Ever May Expose Secret behind Obama’s Wanderlust

At first glance I thought this has got to be about the saddest White House doggie Christmas picture ever. Poor Bo. He’s all decked out in his Christmas finery and no one is around to admire his fetching bow tie.

This should be a picture of young Bo romping around with Sasha and Malia hanging all over his neck, laughing and fussing over their first christmas with their dog Bo. But instead poor Bo looks like one very lonely dog who’s been regulated to a room no one uses, told to sit and then everyone left and forgot about him. And there good dog Bo sits waiting for someone to remember that he is still there.

A Lonely Bo?

A Lonely Bo?

And then I took a second look and realized this picture may expose the secret behind President Obama’s wanderlust since taking up residence in the White House.

You see the slight fold in the carpet?

Well, according to the Washington Examiner D.C is full of rats. Yeah, we all know about the human variety that have infested D. C. and Wall Street. But it seem the rodent variety is also taken up residence in many washington buildings. Some observers have even gone so far as to suggest that -

“All of DC is infested with rats, especially the White House, the Capitol, and the Supreme Court.”

Which makes this picture all the sadder. I’m betting Poor Bo knows what is hiding in that carpet fold and he’s fed up. Not only does everyone leave him behind to deal with the problem, but he’s a Portuguese Water dog which means he is more of a fish guy than a rat guy. And hey, there is only so much one dog can do.

Well, I guess White House living isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

Merry Christmas Bo. I wish you the joy of squeaky toys, yummy treats and romps in the snow. And maybe a Terrier companion to help with that little carpet fold problem.

And next year, after everyone’s forgotten about the “chewing” incidents and those couple of carpets you accidently ruined, you should talk to santa about a yacht for the President. Maybe then they’ll take you along and you can show off what a neat dog you are.

I’ve seen the rats in DC. They’re not only there, they’re huge. And I’m not talking about the ones wearing suits ;0).

Poor Bo. But someone was taking the picture so he wasn’t all alone. He “is” a cute puppy and knows how to sit [a plus in my book].

    Thanks for the pic, Linda.

i think the runner is there because “someone” doesn’t know how to wipe there feet.

    Rat Abatement (DOH)
    Description/Schedule of Service

The Office of Vector Control is responsible for abating the current rat population throughout the District. Areas with reported infestations are investigated to determine the specific location of the rat problem (alley, front yard, back yard) and treated depending on the outcome of the inspection. Rat infestations should be reported immediately to the Citywide Call Center at (202) 727-1000 or complete a service request online using the District government’s Service Request Center. A service request will be put into the Hansen tracking system, and the caller will receive a service request number.

    Scheduled Response Time

    Vector Control

    Investigation: 15 days
    Resolution: 15 – 20 days

    Serious Problem

    Investigation: 15 days
    Resolution: 8 months

    Chronic Problem

    Investigation: 15 days
    Resolution: 12 months

    Further Action

The Department of Health (DOH) standard is to investigate all vector control requests within 15 days of the initial request date. If rats or the evidence of rats are found at the work area, DOH will continue to treat the area until the infestation is fully resolved. Call the Mayor’s Hotline at 727-2980, if the problem has not been resolved within the scheduled response time. Please reference the service request number.

    .
the rats will be long gone in 15 days, faster than congress leaves town on a weekend.

Bo must realize he is dealing with a master that never keeps promises to him. Well, we could have told Bo, if he could have only asked us. We knew, his master’s run of Chicago politics. Well, you know the kind of guy that never keeps his word. Just like today in Washington DC.

So, Bo if you think you can rely on this guy, your only kidding yourself. Better luck next Christmas Bo, perhaps you’ll find a better home, a home without rats.

Poor Bo. He’s just another prop.

All dressed up and no one to play with. Sad. Just sad.

Those folds in the runner would flatten out if there were anyone walking on it…

That is a sad picture! My goodness, it really is a lonely photo. They say a picture tells a thousand words.

I hope that Bo is not always relegated to the background and that this was an isolated event.
Our doggies are always front and center in our pictures and hearts!
It would appear that the master and mistress of the White House get all the attention…surprise!

I wish I could adopt Bo! We all knew he was not really wanted. I hope that Sasha and Malia aren’t treated this way!!!

Poor Bo. He is the only one who is in the White House that I like to see!

What a cute dog. I am hoping that at least some of the huge numbers of “personal assistants” FLOTUS employs take out a few minutes to play with him.

  • N. Lee

I could care less about Bo, but I’m a dog lover and have one of my own. I want real issues dealt with, not whether Bo is happy or not.

It looks like Bo is the only WH temporary resident that celebrates Christmas.
