Ancient Greece, ancient Rome, pre-revolution France, 1930's Italy and present day Russia did it. For some reason, this administration wants us there as well. We aren't quite there, but the best of the best are on it. Notice the pattern though. It doesn't work so well, and with the exception of present day Russia each failed miserably, ending the dream and the corresponding empires with it. Time will tell if this newest version can go global or fail. History says it will fail. So our option is hope for failure, else be assimilated by a global corporatist state. Neither is going to be pretty, but we can rebuild from failure. We have seen this before, it’s called corporatism. Obama is growing the Gov. and wages of those employed by the Gov. at an alarming rate. We cannot criticize one with out looking into the other. And why pay Presidents as much as we do when we the taxpayer completly support the president and his family, and pay for all their needs? Just a thought on this fine Sunday morning.
