So What Did I Miss

While I was out of the country? Anything much happen?

Ahahahhaha – just kidding. I know that while pandering to, I mean, granting an interview, to Oprah, Obama graded himeslf on a major curve and gave himself a B+ thus far. Wowie zowie – I bet his students loved him at the Law School if this is how he gave grades back then. I bet they were beating down the door to enroll to bump up their GPA.

I also know ACORN got their way with a federal judge’s assistance when Judge Nina Gershon ruled the cut-off was un-Constitutional. I guess she’s a-Okay with all of the shenanigans perpetrated by ACORN, from voter fraud to a willingness to fund illegal, underage prostitution. Makes you proud to be an American, doesn’t it?

And then there was that speech for the Nobel Peace Prize to the most undeserving winner, well, EVER. Ironic that it came after he agreed to send in thirty thousand troops to Afghanistan? At least the first half of it was an improvement for Obama speaking abroad. For once, he didn’t slam the country he represents, so there’s that. Heck, even Charles Krauthammer liked the beginning of the speech:

Krauthammer’s comment, when asked by Bret Baier about Obama’s claim to “humility,” said that was NEVER going to happen. Teehee! I managed to not listen to ANY of it until just now – for you. I know, I know, I’m a giver.

But my favorite goes back to Oprah’s interview. It has to be the answer by the Obamas to Oprah’s question regarding who gives the best gifts:

Dang. I have no love lost for Michelle, but I gotta say, I don’t know how she didn’t slap him upside his fool head, as we say down South, for his response. Naturally, NO ONE does anything as well as HE does, but he also humiliates his wife to pump his own self up more. He must be a JOY to live with, don’t you think?

Well, it’s good to be back, but I have to run. My laptop charger died, and I’m working on borrowed time until my replacement arrives.

Did I miss anything else? Is anything going on in, say, Copenhagen? Fill me in!

  • http://www.althing.com/governuts West Virginia

Copenhagen. By Sat., Amy, some may be saying: Copenhagen left the room. YeeHaw Dean says KILL BILL on the Senate HCB. I found the nickle I dropped under my desk yesterday.

  • candymarl

Oh come on RRRA. Obama has fought for Civil Rights. Oh wait, no he didn’t. He was at the forefront of gay rights. Oh wait, no he wasn’t. Then there were all those wars he ended. Remember? Oh wait, no he didn’t. He brought peace to the Middle East. Okay, not so much. Gitmo closed? Not exactly. Women’s rights? Remember what he tried to do about that? Neither do I.

But hey, Washington, Franklin, Lincoln, FDR and all of those other people were mere footnotes in history compared to him.

MLK Jr.? Who is that guy? Harriet Tubman? Please. Mandela? Never heard of him. What Underground Railroad? It doesn’t exist because Obama wasn’t there.

    Excuse me while I swoon.

LOL – glad you found that nickel, WVA!

How abt Dean? Talk abt an internal conflict – he shoved Obama down our throats, willfully violating the will of the people (and the majority of Dems, I might add), and now he is standing up on the Health Care bill? Trying to keep my head from exploding…

    Copenhagen – oh, boy…

  • Seymour

    Welcome back Reverend Amy,

    Here’s my brief:

    1) Copenhagen has changed Climate Directors and now Rasmussen’s in charge.
    2) Pelosi has deferred Healthcare vote until 2010
    3) Howard Dean declares the healthcare bill dead.
    4) Andy Stern (Jimmy Hoffa Mini Me) is convening SEIU’s board to vote against the current healthcare bill followed by the AARP. Funny that Andy is the most frequent visitor to the Whitehouse. Mmmmmm.
    4) Joe Lieberman and his Wife are being abused by the left.
    5) And finally, drum roll please….Obama is still an absolute nightmare.

    Hope this helps..

    Seymour

  • MrX

I saw part of that last clip earlier. I was cringing the whole way. Obama is so awkward.

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

ROTFLMAO – too funny! I’m with Bronwyn’s Harbor – we have some of the most AWESOME people at this blog! :-)

  • Peggy Sue

I think the biggest thing that’s happened is the full-scale turn-around by the Left–lost affection, bitterness, a rebellion [the one we knew was coming]about Obama’s lack of performance and non-existent leadership.

I picked this blog article up over at Liberal Rapture, a post by no other than John Avarois at Americablog. Not only is the posting startling but the followup comments are mind-blowing. Read here:

    http://www.americablog.com/2009/12/dear-president-obama.html

Add Howard Dean and the head of Cheetoland screaming Kill the Bill and the anger and sense of betrayal is indisputable. The DUers are in meltdown and the list goes on.

The Awakening is upon us, finally. The full wreckage is yet to come.

We better be saying some prayers for 2010. It’s going to get interesting.

Welcome back, btw. And have a good holiday!

We are now in a fifth war, blowing up Yemen for the Saudis. Did I mention the Saudis (at least) are using white phosphorus?

Obama’s “B+”: This is the paradox of ignorance. Ignorant people are too ignorant to understand their ignorance.

Copenhagen: Is tear gas a greenhouse gas?

Good speech?: Yes, as far as sedatives go.

Acorn: Even with overwhelming evidence of graft and corruption, it’s still a tough nut to crack. It has an almost indestructible liberal coating of leftist lacquer.

I followed that link, read a comment and now I remember what got me going today. The big banks want to pay us back with our own money. The IRS is changing some rules so the companies can use tax “savings” to buy the govt out. I want some of that.

Maybe Amy, or Larry Doyle can check that out and explain it to us. Geez. I’m still overjoyed with my nickle.

  • tek

I no longer have any sympathy for blacks who talk about their ancestors being in slavery. ALL the black staff at the various ACORN offices immediately started figuring out how they could help the posers get free housing to keep 13 yr. old El Salvadoran girls in sex slavery for profit.

Is slavery only bad when Africans are enslaved?

Is it okay to enslave other people if blacks are going to make money from it?

Just went to the Bunce House slave exhibition at Field Museum. At least they told the truth about Africans selling other Africans into slavery and holding them prisoner in places like Bunce House. Today, African Americans separate into tribes (gangs) and still kill each other.

  • http://www.althing.com/governuts West Virginia

ooo. They are just tearing the O a new on on that american blog thing. This comment from over there goes in the save box for sure.

The thing that confuses me is exactly WHO is Sasha and Melia’s father? One would expect someone capable of producing sperm, and that requires balls. Clearly barack falls WAY short in that department. Does he really enjoy Lieberman, the bankers, the insurance industry, and pharma publicly rubbing feces all over his face?

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

Seymour, thanks for the wrap-up – dang, I was only gone for a few days!

Peggy Sue, holy SMOKES abt the comments at the Aravosis piece! I have seen a bunch of similar comments at the Gay Americablog, too, but wow, these people are mighty upset, aren’t they?

Again, may I just say, WE TOLD YOU SO!!!! Sheesh! I would SO prefer not to be right, and if Obama had won fair and square, well, okay. But he didn’t, and now people are mad? Where were they over a year ago? Buying all of that “Hope” and “Change” crapola. Great comment!

  • http://www.althing.com/governuts West Virginia

Pat did a post on re-gifting and I wonder. You said Fields Museum. That means you are in the Chicago area. If we put a nice big red bow on his head would you mind if we gave back to you the Barky Doll you sent us last year?

  • http://www.althing.com/governuts West Virginia

Amy. I know. Too much coffee. But you did ask for updates, and I am still overjoyed plyaing with my long-lost nickle. This report today from The Raz:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12 (see trends).

Republicans lead by seven on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

Overall, 45% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President’s performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) now disapprove.

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

    LOL – I hear ya!

I saw that comment, too – they really are mighty upset over there at Americablog, aren’t they?

Rasmussen had the split at 19% earlier in the week, and 18% Mon., I think it was. Holy moley…

Our reward will be when the Saudi’s setup their own currency and trade oil in that instead of dollars.

    http://wallstreetpit.com/12983-gulf-states-to-launch-single-currency

That way gasoline prices will “necessarily skyrocket”. It takes money out of the pockets of the bourgeois who would just waste it on tailgate parties and ammunition anyway, and it gives the wealth to the Saudi’s… and whoever else that trades in currencies. In other words, not the bourgeois but our elites who fly in private jets… and who if they ever have to fly like one of us they call the attendant the “b” word.

Meanwhile, our prince of peace gives his peace prize speech after he commits to sending even more troops into war. Even the press is now calling him a con man. Which… he is a con, I just am not sure about the rest. A real man would keep his word, at least he would try.

R3A, wouldn’t it be wonderful if an AG in one of the states in which complaints of election fraud were filed against Howard Dean; pursued the complaint? (In SC, for example, Joseph Sandler, then General Counsel for the DNC Services Corporation, submitted NP’s sworn Certification of Nomination to state election officials to get them to print BO’s name on the SC ballot. So, we charged JS AND his boss, Chairman HD, among others.) (The SC complaint is posted on the front of the blog.)

Yep, her immediate flip to Obama brought me here full time, too! I guess she forgot that some of us actually remembered what she had written abt Obama and Clinton before then…

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

LOL – oh, FF – I appreciate your willingness to put a link up that shows Clinton walloping Obama in the polls (she’s at 75% approval, and Obama, well, isn’t), but still the little dig. Oh well, I guess it’s a start, right? :-)

I wrote this before 11 this morning, and the Politico article didn’t come out until 3 this afternoon. I am sure one of our intrepid writers will get to it, so no worries there. But thanks for putting it here!

I meant to add, the people can tell the difference between the one who just rolled up her sleeves and got to work, and the one who just wants to get his face on the teevee. Hence her high approval ratings, and Obama’s declining ones…

About the Ophrah interview – aside from 0′s arrogant B+ assessment of himself (A- if we get Health Care passed”, he said), I was struck by Ophrah’s nervousness with that interview. I have never seen Ophrah act like that. She is always confident, to the point of being sarcastic, and yes, always in charge. She was obviously not in charge of that interview.

I’m sure it would be intimidating to go to the WH for anything, but I thought she and the 0bamas were bossom buds. The 0bamas didn’t seem to be helping her feel any different. It is obvious Oprah continues to be on a cool-aid benge, beside herself with joy over this mere mortal. How disgusting can you get?

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

True that, and since they pretty much own us anyway, I’d get to work on those chopsticks! :-)

  • Sassy

    Hey Amy!
Here’s a good tidbit for you…Senator Schumer called a stewardess the “b**ch word on a flight with Senator Gillibrand!
The cowardly Dean has received some courage as a Christmas gift!
Senator Coburn insisted on a reading of an amendment which was going to take 17 hours! Love it!
Senator Reid threw a “hissy-fit” in the Senate one day. I don’t know what it was about, but he was berating a female staffer, and threw papers on the desk.
It took Boxer and some others to get him off camera! Love it!
Hey, they won and they are all gettin ulcers! LOL!

  • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

    Hey, Sassy!

Excellent update! Can you believe Schumer? He is such a jerk anyway – I lost all respect for him (too) this past election season. He is really showing his true colors, isn’t he? Talk abt an ego – the ENTIRE plane was waiting for him to get off the damn phone, and he picks a fight with the flight attendant? Then calls HER a name? I imagine a whole bunch of people, including her, may have had some for HIM, too…

Oh, I didn’t hear that abt Reid. I still don’t understand how HE became the Senate majority leader, so there you have it.

And Dean. Sheesh. As I said upthread, had it not been for him, we wouldn’t be stuck with Obama right NOW. So this BS from him abt the Health Care reform bill is way too little way, too late, IMHO, that is.

    Thanks, Sassy!

Ummm, you didn’t miss much, while you were gone, RRRAmy, just the “Critical Unraveling of US Society!”

The Critical Unraveling of US Society

    http://ampedstatus.com/the-critical-unraveling-of-us-society

    An excerpt, The Obama Myth

I don’t mean to dismiss the Obama myth– his words– the change we need is real, its just his actions don’t even come close to measuring up.

Just read the legal documents he has signed his name to. Read them. His actions are most often the opposite of what he says. I venture to say a 10 year old can recognize that after doing a school day’s worth of research.

Obama is a national tragedy. He is a symbol of the times. He is not a leader, just a symbol. He projects the change we need. He was our shortcut to correcting our diseased political system, a way to rid it of corruption. He symbolized the change millions so desperately need. People came out in the millions for the first time “hoping” if they could work and organize to put him in office, we would have some representation to defend against the economic elite that have put the overwhelming majority of US politicians on the payroll and brought humanity to a breaking point.

People just need to research how the Obama myth was hatched. Goldman Sachs saw Obama early on and said, “He’s our guy!” When Obama became THE MAN in Iowa, he was on the Goldman Sachs pay roll.

    http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/contrib.php?cycle=2008&cid=N00009638

Goldman financed the psychological operation that is the Obama myth, the Illusion of HOPE – something to keep a suffering nation pacified just a little bit longer. Obama is truly a national tragedy. His failure and inaction has disillusioned millions upon millions of desperate citizens who turned to him as their best chance for justice.

As further evidence of Obama’s duplicity — beyond repeatedly signing his name to documents covering up the Bush Adminstration’s highest crimes and increasing an already bloated military budget — in one of his very first moves as President he put Goldman Sachs’ criminal mastermind Tim Geitner in charge of the treasury.

A new report from the TARP Inspector General further exposes Tim Geithner’s role “in overpayments that put billions of extra tax dollars in the coffers of major Wall Street firms, most notably Goldman Sachs.”

Which brings us to the ultimate theft of wealth in history, and to the root cause of our current crisis.
