Mr. Goodman, I agree with you on this one: the escalation of the war in Afghanistan is a huge mistake in my mind. This will not end well. In fact, it gives me a sick feeling just thinking about it.

And then, the bitter irony of President Obama accepting a Peace Prize. You’re far more generous to the President than I am because I see a series of mistakes and shell games going on.

But a mistake in war means unnecessary death and maiming. And I’m sorry. War may be necessary at times, but it is not an instrument of peace. To suggest otherwise is Orwellian.

I think this assessment is far too kind to BHO, s though it were his inexperience that led to his choosing war, when the reality is that he is a bought and paid for stooge who is doing precisely what his selectors want: more war.
And don’t forget Yemen and the Philippines and our wars there or our military base buildup in SA (1 in Peru, 2 in Panama, 5 more in Columbia). Afghanistan, Pakistan, and seemingly forgotten Iraq are not the whole story.

LOL! You got it! Especially since he does still smoke…although I think I heard it’s “Kool”, (cute, huh?) which one of my former black activist friends told me is the preferred brand for People of Color. I wouldn’t know but when I smoked years ago I did smoke menthols…Kools and a different one…can’t remember the name. Guess that’s what smoking can do to you. So glad it’s in the past!

He needs his Marlboro to make it complete. I wonder how long until they start dressing him up like a lumberjack and make him split some wood for the cameras? Action Barry dolls can’t be far behind. Or rather inaction Barry dolls… made of pliable rubber like the old Gumby dolls were.
