How You Can Effect Real Change

Foreward: If you wish to change how the Democratic party functions in future election cycles, you must undertake this simple, effective action that will get in the hands of the right people.

SusanUnPC’s Note: My co-hosts and I have devoted two radio shows to horror stories from the caucuses. Imagine if we could change future primaries so that caucuses were “history.” We can accomplish this! That is why your participation is vital. You indeed “have the power,” to borrow a phrase.

I don’t know about you, but I am tired of complaining. I want to work on solutions.

We’ve been derelict in our duty. While we were distracted by Obama’s Rainbow Tour, we ignored emails from the Obama campaign asking us to hold primary platform meetings and to submit our ideas to the DNC and the campaign. Forgive us. We look at all Obama campaign requests with a heavy dose of skepticism.

That was a mistake. After some thought we’ve realized that we should never shrink from an opportunity to be heard. Moreover, while most Obama supporters probably had between 20 and 100 people at their meetings, we can send a message of what Hillary supporters all over the country want.

      Wow, you are right Lee, this video needs to be watched and sent to everyone you know. Family, friends, neighbors, every MSM outlet, every newspaper, every member of the DNC and most importantly to every Super-d who have taken money from and endorsed Obama. They have to be made to realize that they are to serve us. That we the people hold all the POWER. We might not have money. But we sure as hell have the POWER to vote their money hungry sorry AZZ out.
      I am in Pa. and I promise, I will work my Azz off to make sure these money hungry politicians who are NOT doing their duty that they were elected for, will be voted out of office.
      This election may by a blessing in disguise. It has managed to open the eyes of Americans. It is time to take back our government.       As I said on DC’s radio show last night. If money is what is deciding this election. We the people can also play that game. Boycott every MSM outlet, every newspaper, every sponsor, every company backing Obama. Hit them where it matters the most to them, and it is very obvious that money matters the most. Not the people, not our country, not our future and most importantly, not OUR children.
      The MSM and our elected politicians have a responsibility and an obligation to the American people. We have the POWER and DUTY to stand up and say we have had enough. Either you do the right thing or we WILL.

    Susan, I clicked on the link to take the survey and it said: “Sorry, you have already taken this survey.” However, I have no recollection of doing so. I got the above message just by clicking the link … without entering anything about who I am so how can it know I took it already? Are you getting other’s that have the same problem?

    Susan – this is a good idea, as I think many of the Clinton campaign’s concern about the process should be heard.

    I’m not sure that the Democratic Party has any role in making decisions about this, but I really think that the media chattering classes should be taken out of the role of facilitating presidential debates. I’ve never seen them abdicate their responsibility so thoroughly.

    Maybe there’s a system where the debates are broadcast by the networks, but with an independent moderator (say a Doris Kearns Goodwin) rather than a talking head like Russert or Stephanopolous. Far too much media time over the past year has been spent trying to instigate foodfights.

    Democratic New Yorkers Campaign For McCain In Brooklyn

    July 30, 2008

    A rare breed of New York Democrats supporting presumptive Republican nominee John McCain gathered Tuesday in Brooklyn Heights to raise money for the candidate.

    “I’m not that happy with Obama,” said Rita Cohn, an undecided Democrat. “I feel that basically, I still have serious doubts about the reason he stayed in that church for 20 years and didn’t find any reason to walk out. I just didn’t feel comfortable with his pronouncements.”

    McCain’s campaign held an open house for two dozen Democrats to win over voters who are usually on the other side of the aisle.

    “Obama is too much lacking in experience,” said Raj Rajagopalan, a Democrat backing McCain. “To me, he’s a junior senator from Illinois, and he’s not that trustable. I see a lot of flip-flops happening. Whereas McCain, on the other hand, is more experienced and more trust worthy.”

    Many in attendance were supporters of Hillary Clinton and feel slighted she lost the Democratic nomination.

    “You have not seen anything more undemocratic than the Democratic Party,” said McCain supporter Rosa Nunez. “Now I go country first, not party first.”

    Both candidates seem to only come to the city for fundraisers; however, Obama has much more grassroots support in the city – and it shows in the polls.

    A poll taken in June has McCain trailing Obama by 14 points, with Obama leading 50 percent to 36 percent in New York State. But McCain’s New York State Chair Ed Cox said he is optimistic.

    “I find that many Democrats are just coming to us, and saying, we’d like to volunteer; we’d like to support John McCain. We believe in how he’s been able to reach across the aisle in a bi-partisan way,” said Cox.

    Bartle Bull, former New York campaign manager for President Carter and Robert Kennedy, agrees McCain can do well here.

    “We all feel New Yorkers are responsive,” said Bull. “We have a serious chance. There are 98 days left, dynamic days, and the country is going to learn a great deal I think.”

    I took my time to read evry word and not skim and I am glad I did. Then I commented.

    One person one vote and the right of a secret ballot. I know the Democratic Party is a private organization, however, there are rules which governments allow a party and its candidates to be placed on a ballot, so government is involved. Not just anyone can have their name appear on government ballots to be President. Thinking of this, cannot a suit be filed in federal court over Obama’s name appearing on the ballot. The caucus system does not allow secret ballot, it is subject to intimidation and fraud. Image making all elections in the south be done in public with a show of hands. Giving people in one district higher representation based on how many voted in the past Democratic primary’s destroys the “one person, one vote” edict of the Supreme Court. The Court made California redesign its State Senate Districts by population instead of one per county under this rule. Obama is a fraud and so is the DNC. Super Delegates represent no one except their own personal interest and subject to bribes of all kinds.

      They should make another request, and at the same time suggest if the information won’t be forthcoming soon, can the campaign provide a timetable for when it will be available. If the campaign doesn’t respond, go public – really public – with the their failure to disclose after several attempts and opportunities to do so.

      As always, with Obama, its not what we see, its what we don’t see that worries us. The guy and his campaign hide everything, his past, his senate records, his thesis, his birth certificate, his parents’ marital status (what’s the big deal about that?). Fess up Obama

Patrick Fitzgerald, why don’t you indict this fraud? Are you silent because he made a campaign promise to not fire you if he’s elected? Where’s your courage? And Caroline Kennedy, you are running around with baaaad crowd. Was a deal made for you to be the v.p.? Or, chief of staff? Was it worth it?
