“I AM the One For Whom You Have Been Waiting”

Obama was waxing lyrical about last week’s trip to Europe, when he concluded, according to the meeting attendee, “this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for.”

The 200,000 souls who thronged to his speech in Berlin came not just for him, he told the enthralled audience of congressional representatives. “I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions,” he said, according to the source.

Holy Cow. Now, I should admit that I was GOING to write some more about Kaine and his BFF, Obama, as well as their joint BFF, Joe Lieberman, but honestly, how can I resist THIS??

“(T)his is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for.”

And:

“I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions.”

Well, YEAH, if what the world has been waiting for, and what represents America returning to its “best Traditions” is an arrogant, narcissistic, sexist, thuggish, unethical, pandering, coercing, power-hungry Messiah-wannabe, then, yes – Obama is our guy!!!

I must be some kind of heathen, though, because I just don’t buy it (and before I go on, PLEASE, Oborgabots – PLEASE don’t waste “Comment” space going on and on about how that is not a full quote, and is taken out of context. Frankly, I don’t give a damn if what comes before it is, “somehow” and ends with, “but it should be CLINTON if it is ‘returning’ to its best traditions,” it is the absolute HEIGHT of arrogance and narcissism. Now, go away – let the grown ups talk.). Obama has made the classic mistake – he now believes his own Axelrovian hype. He really DOES think he is The One For Whom We Have Been Waiting! Wowie zowie!!

Last night, I was reading a book by Kathy Reichs, a professor at UNC-Charlotte. Her books are the basis for the show, “Bones.” In this particular book, Death Du Jour, the question of cults comes up. Now her main character, Tempe Brennan, is also a professor art UNCC, a forensic anthropologist. Because of a case on which she is working, she goes to a sociology professor at UNCC (and the information in this books on cults is legitimate – it comes from another UNCC professor of Religious Studies, James Tabor). Because I care, I am going to type out the dialogue for you. Once you read it, you will see why. Dr. Brennan’s comments will be in italics. Red, the Sociology professor’s, will be in regular typeface. Okey dokey – ready? Here we go:

“All right. What’s a cult?”

“Cults are not just groups of crazies who follow weird leaders. At least the way I use the term, they are organizations with a set of common features.” (On age 295, Red makes the point that cults can also be political parties.)

“Yes.” I leaned back in my chair.

“A cult forms around a charismatic individual who promises something. This individual professes some special knowledge. Sometimes the claim is access to ancient secrets, sometimes it’s an entirely new discovery to which he or she alone is privy. Sometimes it’s a combination of both. The leader offers to share the information with those who follow. Some leaders offer utopia. Or a way out. Just come along, follow me. I’ll make the decisions. All will be fine.”

“How does that differ from a priest or rabbi?”

“In a cult it’s this charismatic leader who eventually becomes the object of devotion; in some cases he’s actually deified. And as that happens, the leader comes to hold extraordinary control over the lives of his followers.

“Cults are totalistic, authoritarian. The leader is supreme and delegates power to very few. The leader’s morality becomes the only acceptable theology. The only acceptable behavior. And, as I said, veneration is eventually centered on him, not on supreme beings or abstract principles.

And often there is a double set of ethics. Members are urged to be honest and loving to each other but to deceive and shun outsiders. (Emphasis mine.) Established religions tend to follow one set of rules for everybody.”

How does a leader gain such control?”

“That’s another important element. Thought reform. Cult leaders use a variety of psychological processes to manipulate their members. Some leaders are fairly benign, but others are not and really exploit the idealism of their followers.

“The way I see it, there are two broad types of cults, both of which use thought reform. The commercially packaged ‘awareness programs’” – he gestured quotation marks – “use very intense persuasion techniques. These groups keep members by getting them to buy more and more courses.

“Then there are the cults that recruit followers for life. These groups use organized psychological and social persuasion to produce extreme attitudinal changes. As a result they come to exert enormous control over the lives of their members. They are manipulative, deceptive, and highly exploitative.”

Amy here – hmmm, let’s just guess which one I think Obama is?!?! Ahem. The discussion continues, but I thought this was significant:

I still don’t see why anyone but a nutcase would fall for such crap.”

“Not at all.” He shook his head. “It’s not just marginal people who get sucked in. In some studies approximately two thirds of the respondents come from normal families and were demonstrating age-appropriate behavior when they entered a cult.”

“Has your research shed light on why people seek out these movements?”

“Often they don’t. These groups seek you. And as I’ve said, these leaders can be incredibly charming and persuasive.”

AMY here – the discussion continues, and then this question: “I just don’t get it, Red. How can people be so gullible?

“It’s seductive to think that you’re elite. Chosen. Most cults teach their members that only they are enlightened and everyone else in the world is left out. Lesser in some way. It’s powerful stuff.” (Kathy Reichs, Death Du Jour, 1999, pp 295 – 300)

See what I mean?? Do you see it?!? To me it is crystal clear. Obama has been engaging in “thought reform,” as discussed in this book, and has taken it to a massive level. For him to come to the House of Representatives as The Anointed One, elevating himself to a height neither deserved or REAL, says a lot. And it says just as much about all of the House members who clapped themselves silly. They want to bask in the glow of The One, they want to show they, too, are in his employ. It is frightening stuff, and we cannot allow him to take over this country. There is no telling what will happen if he does. I thought Bush was bad, but I fear Obama more. He has demonstrated time and time again that he is beholden to no person, no position. He can dismiss even relatives with seeming ease, and change positions as the wind blows. He is a dangerous man, and his followers likewise. Not all of them, mind you, but enough of them seem to have this mentality, which is mighty scary. (The lengths to which some of them have gone is truly scary – hnging a dead rabbit on someone’s door and slashing their tires, for example. That is one extreme, but stealing caucus packets to ENSURE the victory of their One is in the same realm – they will stop at nothing to ensure their Master’s success.)

Again – Superdelegates – this man has flown off into incredibly heady flights of fancy, and cannot be trusted with the most important job on the face of the planet. A cult leader is not what we need to lead us out of our current climate. We need someone whose feet are on the ground, who is clear-headed, who stands with ALL Americans, not just her cultish gathering. There is time. Start now. Lay the groundwork. And come the end of August, protect us from this self-proclaimed Messiah. This heathen has no use for him.

    YEP! Love Kathy’s books!

And yes I’ve read this one.

I’ve been yelling CULTS — since the very first time I had a encounter with Obama cult members.

Cult leaders are users — and they’ve been around since human have been around.

    • BernieO

They must have recruited Bob Shrum to the cult because I am listening to him on Hardball vehemently denying that Obama played the race card with his “they will try to scare you because I don’t look like the other presidents on the currency” line. AND he is just as vehemently accusing the McCain campaign of playing the race card by pointing out that Obama’s statement was injecting race. Unless Obama was referring to his Dumbo ears, I cannot think of any other way to interpret what he said other than this translations: “They will try to scare you because I don’t look like the other presidents BECAUSE I AM BLACK. All who oppose me are racists.”

Good thing I haven’t eaten yet or I might have lost my dinner.

      • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

and last week when he first said it he said, a 46/9 year old black man, he clearly is playing the race card.

  • roseeriter

Cults were really big back in the 60s and 70s. I wonder if those are the American “Traditions” O is referring to??

    • Barack Oblahma

You will be reeducated about these traditions at my string of Camp Obamas now being built across the country.

        Or ASSIMILATED in DENVER..

ROTFLMAO – oh, y’all are cracking me up! DO we t-shirts at this camp?? S’mores??

Apparently, YES – cults are the great American tradition!

If you get a chance, NW Rain, go back and read that whole passage abt the cults. I tell you, I could not believe it. It was so well phrased, I thought, no need for me to re-do it…

THANK YOU, Cindy! What a lovely compliment! I am humbled by your kind expression…

          Oops – GET t-shirts…

Cults go back to the founding of America — the Pilgrims were members of a religious cult. There are so many religious cults in America — the Shakers is another American cult.

The “Great Awakening” and the whole Advent movement is very cult like — a lot of cult churches were spawned during that period.

Pentecostal church is another cult. Several in Washington — Steeple jacking — hijacking of churching is happening in this state. Individuals leave a cult — join another church that they think is not associated with their old church — turns out that there is a close network of ministers.

In Washington the Republican Party has co-habituated with the Right wing religious nuts. But the really right wing aren’t happy with the GOP so it seems they’ve moved on to the Constitution Party.

Colorado is another prime area for religious cults.

Most people aren’t aware of cult and remain skeptical — which is how cults are able to operate in broad daylight. I also believe that the cults are more sophisticated then they were a few decades back.

Obama is using sophisticated cult indoctrination techniques — or Axelrod us doing the manipulations FOR Obama. But I expect that they are team and that Obama is well aware of what is being done on his behalf. He wants to win and he will use any means for that win.

In February I watch Obama thugs in the caucus I attended use very sophisticated techniques to manipulate the voters. It was a team effort from TRAINED operatives.

The only way to fight this takeover is to understand what cults are, how they operate and how cult leaders manipulate their followers.

Where’s the deprogramming booth for Obamans?

I need to know the address so I can send my father, my stepmother and my brother there.

I know what you mean — I need to send my sister-in-law — her husband and her two sons!

These are people I would never have guess would fall for a cult — but they have.

      • Ferdberfle

Like the ones in the Hanford area.

    • Bye bye Obambi

My parents were in a cult beginning in the sixties. It was very violent and I’m lucky to be alive. I finally got away when I was seventeen. There are still active cults all over but they are underground (my parents cult was underground, a Satanic cult).

I believe Obama is dangerous, and the jokes about camps – I totally get and appreciate the humor – yet for me personally the jokes aren’t funny. I’m afraid it could become real.

But I have faith that Hillary will rise! And, if not, I have faith in the American people to send Obama back to Chicago or to a desert island.

There’s got to be a pattern with cult leaders, dictators, recruiting young followers. Like 18-to-22 year-olds. He needed their adoration back in his law “professor” days:

At a formal institution, Barack Obama was a loose presence, joking with students about their romantic prospects, using first names, referring to case law one moment and “The Godfather” the next. He was also an enigmatic one, often leaving fellow faculty members guessing about his precise views.

    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

I saw that article – and yes, he wanted to be their best buddy, unlike any of those other (profesional) professors!

It reminds me of a friend in seminary telling me that when he was at Wake Forest, he had classes with Maya Angelou. She called EVERYONE by their last name (Mr. or Ms. Whatever). Guess which one I respect more?

  • Northwest rain

It was really creepy to see Maria Shriver saying he is ‘the One’ — on one of the videos — this is the same garbage we’ve heard about Rev. Moon.

An excellent resource on cults — is “Snapped” — it is a must read for anyone interested in cults — and why seemingly mature & logical people are falling for Obama.

My degrees are in Psychology & Group Dynamics — plus I’m cult survivor — I was raised in a Religious, Evangelical Charismatic cult — which is probably the reasons for the degrees.

People who should see through Obama are not — many have been taken in by one of the many images he projects.

    • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

You are quite right abt the cults – people don’t know just how prevalent they are. We just hear abt the ones like Waco and Jim Jones. When I was a chaplain in Boston, we had to deal with cults a LOT. Those college kids were PERFECT targets.

      Hey, wait…

      • workingclass artist

Good article Rev. Amy. Very thought provoking. Obama has alarmed me for quite awhile. I see this cultish pattern as being so similar to the global sweep of fascism that sometimes I don’t sleep all that well. Most of these people that are his most ardent followers either don’t read history…Or they have read politically slanted revisionist history ( that’s a whole different topic ) or they just are blindly and willfully reckless. When a ” CULT ” seeks to dominate those outside of themselves….against the will of their neighbors then you have a lot of rampaging and conquering goin on. When that same
” CULT ” justifies it’s actions by devaluing through concentration on racial, religious, ethnic or class status those outside their circle….You have the mechanism of FASCISM.
Fascism can be theological and often is in Theocracy.
Fascism can be Political and Ideological.
It is always Authoritarian….And it is always BLOODY RUTHLESS TO OPPOSITION.
RECALCITRANCE WITH A HEALTHY DOSE OF SKEPTICISM IS THE BEST DEFENSE.

        • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

          Hey, WCA -

Yes, the lack of framing by historical precedent by so many, particularly those who are in academia, is mind boggling. It has not been long, in the scheme of things, that the world was faced with powerful fascists (and heaven knows, there are a number of dictators out there now, but they are trying for world domination).

It just seems that so many of these people are willing to suspend disbelief. THat’s fine when you’re going to a movie or something, but electing the leader of the Free World???

      • Zee

LaRouche is still around, preying on college kids. Every election he hits on something….anti-Cheney sentiment, then weaves it into this giant conspiracy. 4 years ago it was somehow Cheney and Gore were in cahoots and they made up global warming.

The cult is at every protest or rally with their newspapers.

I didn’t read all their “evidence” but It always involves the Jews secretly running the world (British Banker Jews). The 9/11 cult used the same holocaust-denier/Jews knew the towers were coming down, etc etc conspiracies.

This year the LaRouchies are targeting all the people who see Obama as a fraud. It’s true cults lure people by bragging *only they* “know the truth.” So now they go around to all the sites collecting data on Obama’s fraud, etc, and inject these conspiracies about Soros. If you see the word Soros in relation to Obama, it’s a LaRouchie. Skip their links. Same old story. The final chapter always ends with Jews secretly running the world.

I doubt he knows what he is talking about for we already know that if he talks spontaneously or without a teleprompter or without preparation, he doesn’t talk sense. I hope something would happen to stop him being nominated and if he does, I pray and work hard that he does not win for he is the most unAmerican person running for public office I have known. Re: Lieberman as their BFF–

In case casual readers do not know, Lieberman was Obama’s mentor in the Senate. Obama appeared at a crucial JJ dinner when Lieberman was being challenged by Ned Lamont.

Lieberman became Obama’s mentor when Obama was sworn into the Senate in 2005. They stayed close at Thursday night’s event, too, entering the room together and working the crowd in tandem.

    http://www.boston.com/news/local/connecticut/articles/2006/03/31/obama_rallies_state_democrats_throws_support_behind_lieberman/

(Lots of Dems endorsed Joe over Lamont, but that’s what you have to do for a Dem incumbent — it was just Obama who went to save Joe with a personal appearance.) And in 2004, when Joe had a brief run at the presidency, Kaine was right there for him.

So, If Obama gets elected, and Kaine is on the ticket, can we look forward to Lieberman as Secy of Defense?

Obama is in such a bind. If he selects Biden, we have someone who was the cheerleader — in public — for McCain to join the ticket with Kerry.

And Edwards? Now the Charlotte Observer is writing about the story that no one in the DNC will speak about. http://www.newsobserver.com/politics/story/1160048.html

Here’s a shout out to TD: the Charlotte Observer was able to get its hands on the alleged “love child’s” birth certificate. http://www.newsobserver.com/politics/story/1160737.html You’d think someone in the MSM could get its hands on the original Obama birth certificate.

AH, shucks. I reckon I don’t have to write that other piece! Well done, Katmandu!

And that’s the thing – everyone claims they support Obama because of the war. Yet, they FAIL to acknowledge that during the primary, Obama was stumping for that MASSIVE War Hawk, Lieberman, over the ANTI-war Dem., Lamont. And yes, people will make the argument abt Lieberman being an incumbent Dem (yeah, right – he hadn’t voted with the Dems for a while), but WHY would Obama stump for him as much as he did?? Some anti-Iraq war guy, huh?

There’s a video on YouTube of Obama strong arming Lieberman out of the chamber. . Now, to me, that takes a lot of gall – and reminded me of him almost coming to fisticuffs in the IL Senate – with him being the instigator (that was actually in the New Yorker ARTICLE they had abt him – his team threw up all of the smoke and mirrors abt the cover so people wouldn’t read what it said INSIDE). Another quick-tempered spoiled arrogant brat, just like Bush!

As a native Charlottean, go Observer!

BO isn’t picky about who he rubs up against when his Political opportunist radar goes of. He has campaigned for Sen. Sanders(I) instead of the Dem candidate. I make no inference about Sen. Sanders. BO is replete with examples of this. His sense of loyalty stops at the end of his Hoover nose.

All the SF bay area media and politicans loved Jim Jones.

I’m not sure how much press he got nationwide before Jonestown, but in the bay area he could do no wrong. There were what seemed like weekly stories on him and his church. How he was helping the community, raising money, etc

If people watch that doc on the Weathermen. They also incorporated brainwashing/cult techniques.

They did all night talking sessions to break the hold mainstream society had on them, as well as using sex to do the same.

Manson did the same with all night sessions, drugs, and sex.

      • AX10

Perhaps SF is not part of the United States?

        • Karma

          Yeah SF is defintely different.

Too bad the media didn’t bother telling all those hippies just how dangerous port cities can be.

      • AF catfish

Yes Jones had the respect of a few really mainstream politicians. And he gave long speeches to huge crowds; as he got crazier his speeches got longer. And he’d tell his followers the media wasn’t just attacking him, the media was attacking you too.

    • Bye bye Obambi

I hope the 527s will run an ad comparing Jones and Obama speaking…

  • Hadrianus

Obama is truly the symbol of something new. He insured his beatification with his vote on FISA. It will be something as new for America as it was in Germany of the 1930′s. He is gathering the tools to stage a reinactment of “Brother Love’s Salvation Show” here in the land of the free, with Citizen Love watching your every move and listening to everything you say. Just like Santa. “Ya Better watch out”.

  • MEchelle Hates America!

    Of course it’s a cult.

It’s where KoolAide/FoolAide came from after all.

Jim Jones had a lot more on the ball than Oblowme, but he fooled Carter too.

Oblowme’s followers have just a few programmed questions and answers, which you’re all very familiar with by now.

Personal Injury attorneys/attorneys who represent insurance companies and AAs wanting reparations are the only folks who could readily be conned into thinking that they are voting for their interests.

But even then, they’d have to do no independent research.

Here is a quote from Jon Voight as stated in The Washington Times on July 28.

Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.

    • AF catfish

From Obama’s course syllubus of topics, here’s some discussion questions on Reparations::

“More recently, some white commentators have also supported a variant of the reparations concept — for example, the government financing a Community Reinvestment funds that would be controlled by the black community and render affirmative action obsolete. Do such proposals have any realistic chance of working their way through the political system? Would there be any legal impediments to such a broadly-concieved reparations policy?”

Notice he doesn’t question the merit of reparations. He only asks – can we get reparations enacted?
His course syllubus is very very revealing. He wrote this in the mid-nineties, when he was attending Jeremiah Wright’s sermons every Sunday.

Wrong, Teddy Boy – I said nothing of the kind. I said OBAMA followers would keep trying to claim that it is not a full quote since you/they are not willing to let the scales fall from you eyes. Sad, really. But you have no problems attacking other people instead of taking a moment and considering that maybe, just maybe, he is not the one he claims to be. Don’t you think McCain is becoming unhinged today by saying Obama is playing the race card? A Republican attacking an African American man as a racist? Surely this should disqualify McCain.

    • http://firefox AnnieCarmel

He is playing the race card, idiot. He plays it by pretending to know what the opposition is thinking/saying and pretending they are saying things about the color of his skin. He’s the one who says he doesn’t look like everyone else. Duh. If he wanted colorblindness, he’d never bring it up.

McCain is a Repuke, is there any doubt he will resort to playing the race card? I think Obama is being smart by pre-empting the racism that will inevitably come his way from the McCain camp.

A few hours ago John McCain, the same man who just months ago promised to run a “respectful campaign,” said he is “proud” of his latest attack ad.
when you are battling a compulsive pathological liar, the game changes Barack, just like FISA and Public financed liar!

That’s the one attacking your enthusiasm, comparing me to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and making false claims about my energy plan.
Paris and Britney have more balls than you do Barack, and as for your energy plan, how is Cheney’s tax give away doing you voted for?

Now, we’re facing some serious challenges in this country — our economy is struggling, energy costs are skyrocketing, and families don’t have health care.

Given the seriousness of these issues, you’d think we’d be having a serious debate. But instead, John McCain is running an expensive, negative campaign against us. Each day brings a desperate new set of attacks.
Debate, you ran from every debate Obama, do your lies never end?

And they’re not just attacking me. They’re attacking you.

They’re mocking the desire of millions of Americans to step up and take ownership of the political process.

They’re trying to convince you that your enthusiasm won’t amount to anything — that the people you persuade, the phone calls you make, the donations you give, the doors you knock on are all an illusion. They believe that in this election the same old smears and negative attacks will prevail again.
Illusions, like rock concerts and free beer and food in Berlin with a price of listening to 30 minutes of your BS? BTW, is water torcher being replaced now by BHO speeches?
    They’re wrong.
Who started the old style campaigning with the GWB 3rd term, none other than Barack flip flop useless Obama

And right now, we have a few hours left to prove them wrong in a very concrete way.

Make a donation of $5 or more before the July fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

Show the strength of our movement for change.
Sounds like Obambi has a big ACORN bill to pay….lol

  • Fandango13

Cult? I dunno. What I do know is that Obama and his (handlers) campaign are so brilliant that they’ve given the small folks (like my younger kids) a place to work, a place to help, a place to believe. We hear this again and again from our peers: their liberal, peace-loving progressive kids bought the whole package. The parents are horrified and anxious that their good believing kids (actually fairly recent adults) are up for such terrible disillusionment.
We tried to tell one of our Obamanauts that it’s kind of possible he doesn’t write his own speeches. She didn’t/doesn’t believe us. She’d rather believe him, and, more importantly, not check out the facts. This is not the way she was brought up, but/and stupid progressives that we are, we think a person’s vote is her own. Come to think of it, I guess that reluctance to think for oneself, to get good inormation, IS cultish.
Obama is a dangerous man. I really have had to begin wondering whether he’s American at all. He seems bent on a different course.

Obama’s campaign may have created a cult, but I dare say, it is not a spontaneous cult. It has been cynically engineered to take advantage of all of the vulnerabilities of the elective process in the USA.

The finest and first tradition of this great country is representative government. If Obama and Pelosi and any idiot in the US Congress cheering them on think Obama is a symbol of representative government, they are either total fools or they have sold their souls to the devil.

Oh, no doubt it was intentional! That’s the use of “thought reform.” David AxelRove and David Plouffe have played these people like a symphony…

And RMinNC, no – I don’t think anyone plays that role in Obama’s life. Just like no one did in Bush’s either (remember when the aids were all freaking out that they were going to have to interrupt Bush’s vacation at the ranch when Katrina happened?!?).

    In ancient Rome, when the conquering hero came home after being gone for long periods of time to foreign lands, he would be given a glorious parade. Riding behind him in his charot would be a slave holding a laural wreath over the hero’s head, whispering in his ear all along the parade route;
    “Remember, thou art only mortal”.
This usually brought the hero back to reality.

Superdels, select him as vice president but not as presidential nominee. He needs some experience — a lot of it — and his ego needs to come down so he knows this isn’t about him, but for the country — genuinely — not just in rhetorical measure.

He also believes he’s king of the world, and the reagan/kennedy stuff? Those men came from a fund’l love this country, Obama comes from the “blame American first” viewpoint.

He is not capable of uniting the country like you think. It’s already polarized, regarding him. Look at the polls. There’d be very little confidence of him as president, and he’d squeak in because of anger at republicans. That’s not hopeful.

America deserves a real leader, someone strong, who unites many of its factions, and Obama really is not the answer.

I’m surprised no one has yet brought up Webster Tarpley and his new book on this thread. Essentially Tarpley claims that the Obama frenzy is a domestic implementation of the “color coded revolution” that groups like George Soros’ Open Society Institute, the National Endowment for Democracy and the other usual ‘perception management’ players have deployed.

It’s pretty much the same argument, to the Nth degree. For pragmatic reasons I support Obama, yet after the FISA sellout I will certainly not contribute anything to his campaign. He hasn’t done enough to bring down certain authoritarian frames of reasoning. McCain and Hillary are quite awful; there is some promise that Obama could have better policy outcomes, but a careful evaluation of ‘cult behavior’ techniques is certainly in order, especially at this moment in time.

(I think I’ll go listen to the recent Alex Jones segment with Tarpley – that would spell out the hardcore version of the argument here.)

    • Faustina

I have read Webster Tarpley’s book, “Obama. Post Modern Coup” and think it is a very plausible explanation of some of the tactics used by Obama’s campaign.

However, I have yet to come across any explanation for why so many of Hillary Clinton’s congressional colleagues find her to be such an unacceptable candidate. Sexism is probably part of it, but I think there is a lot more to it than that. I think she knows where the bodies are buried and they are afraid of her.

Another good book to check out is Naomi Klein’s, “The Shock Doctrine”. Obama and many of his more prominent supporters are apparently closely tied to the Un of Chicago School of Economics. “The Shock Doctrine” describes many horror stories of how the theories of these laissez-faire, free-for-all, greedy globalists have been implemented in countries around the world. They show no mercy to ordinary people. My impression of these intellectual elitists (sound familiar) after reading the book is that they are free market but anti-democratic.

You say, how can that be? Check out the book and you’ll see.

The US economy is in near shock right now and may be in total shock by next January. Hold on tight if Obama is elected.

Here is a quote which sums up the 2008 elections: “The danger is always here, when crises are happening, that people come who say they have the wisdom and the answer, and they can bring salvation to everybody.” From the book and dvd The Nazis A Warning From History. While not to imply this is 1930′s Germany, or Italy, but history has shown the dangers of blindly following an egomaniac.

    THE MAGICAL PIPER OF CHI-TOWN

Into the street the Piper stepped,
    Smiling first a little smile,
As if he knew what magic slept,
In his quite pipe the while.

    Then like a musical adept,
To blow the pipe his lips he wrinkled,
And green and blue his sharp eyes twinkled,
Like a candle flame where salt is sprinkled.

And ere three shrill notes the pipe did utter’
Was heard as if an army muttered,
And the muttering grew to a grumbling,
And the grumbling grew to a mighty rumbling,
And out of the houses the Rats came tumbling.

Great Rats, small Rats, lean Rats, brawny Rats,
Brown Rats, black Rats, gray Rats, tawney Rats,
Grave old plodders, gay young friskers.
    Fathers,,mothers, uncles, cousins,
    Cocking tales and pricking whiskers.
    Familys by tens and dozens,
    Brothers, sisters, husbands, wives-
FOLLOWED THE PIPER FOR THEIR LIVES.

From town to town he piped advancing,
And step by step they followed dancing,
Until they came to the river Cippi,

Wherein they all plunged and perished!

Save one, who stout as Julius Ceasar,
Swam across and lived to carry
(as she the manuscript she charished)

    To Rat-land home her commentary
    Which was;
“At the first sound of the pipe I heard
a sound as of scraping tripe,
    And putting apples wonderous ripe
    Into a cider press gripe,
And a moving away of pickle tub boards
And a leaving away of conserve cupboards,
And a drawing the corks of train oil flask,
And a breaking the hoops of butter casks.

And it seemed as if a voice
(sweeter far than by harp or by psaltry is breathed)

Called out; “Oh Rats rejoice! Yes We Can!
The world has grown to our vast drysaltry!

So munchon, crunchon, take your munchon,
    Breakfast, supper, dinner, luncheon”.
And just as a bulky punchon,
All ready staved like a great sun shone.

Glorious scarce an inch before me,
Just as me thoughts it said,’Come bore me’.

I found the river Cippi rolling o’er me.

    Moral of the Story:

All the Rats in this race should be very careful which Piper you listen too. Sweet sounding music and “just words” oft-times are misleading!

  • Fandango13

This guy Obama is SO arrogant, so narcissistic, so immune to rational thinking that I really have begun wondering whether he’s quite sane.
Any of that doesn’t seem to matter to the DNC – or, for that matter, to a great many of our elected reps and sens. I hold them responsible for this mess. I will never forgive them. None of this was necessary.
I can’t remember who said that this crisis in government is/was not about the differences between Repubs and Dems: it’s about the differences between the politicians, i.e. the Beltway people, and the rest of the country.
