      Actor Jon Voight. Associated Press.
      OP-ED
We, as parents, are well aware of the importance of our teachers who teach and program our children. We also know how important it is for our children to play with good-thinking children growing up.
Sen. Barack Obama has grown up with the teaching of very angry, militant white and black people: the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers and Rev. Michael Pfleger. We cannot say we are not affected by teachers who are militant and angry. We know too well that we become like them, and Mr. Obama will run this country in their mindset.
The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.
The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds. I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.
Those same leaders who were in the streets in the ’60s are very powerful today in their work to bring down the Iraq war and to attack our president, and they have found their way into our schools. William Ayers is a good example of that.
Thank God, today, we have a strong generation of young soldiers who know exactly who they are and what they must do to protect our freedom and our democracy. And we have the leadership of Gen. David Petraeus, who has brought hope and stability to Iraq and prevented the terrorists from establishing a base in that country. Our soldiers are lifting us to an example of patriotism at a time when we’ve almost forgotten who we are and what is at stake.
If Mr. Obama had his way, he would have pulled our troops from Iraq years ago and initiated an unprecedented bloodbath, turning over that country to the barbarianism of our enemies. With what he has openly stated about his plans for our military, and his lack of understanding about the true nature of our enemies, there’s not a cell in my body that can accept the idea that Mr. Obama can keep us safe from the terrorists around the world, and from Iran, which is making great strides toward getting the atomic bomb. And while a misleading portrait of Mr. Obama is being perpetrated by a media controlled by the Democrats, the Obama camp has sent out people to attack the greatness of Sen. John McCain, whose suffering and courage in a Hanoi prison camp is an American legend.
Gen. Wesley Clark, who himself has shame upon him, having been relieved of his command, has done their bidding and become a lying fool in his need to demean a fellow soldier and a true hero.
This is a perilous time, and more than ever, the world needs a united and strong America. If, God forbid, we live to see Mr. Obama president, we will live through a socialist era that America has not seen before, and our country will be weakened in every way.

Have so much Faith, It Ain’t Silly! I have been waiting for this day since Super Tuesday. Everybody I know has thought I was completely out of my mind.

I am glad that I can say:

      I Freakin’ Told You So!

  • basil

    TTTT,

I’m not sure how to interpret HRC’s comments.

In places it almost sounded like she was patiently trying to explain something she knew was a real ‘fairy tale’ to kids still waiting for santa claus, or the easter bunny.

    She sounded weary.

It was strange to hear her say most candidates wait until the convention to endorse and that she threw her support behind waffles earlier than many other candidates in other elections, including Kennedy, Hart, Brown.

Or am I missing the point?

    • pollpatrol

She did that because she was pressured by the media and her backstabbing Super delegate pals – Byrd, Richardson, Rendell, etc. I’m sure they regret it now but at the time the media, the DNC and Obama’s thugs had whipped everyone into a frenzy.

    • Andy

I did not get that impression at all; she almost sounded pissed off that she HAD TO endorse BO early contrary to tradition and that having her name on the ballot was the norm and the LEAST they could do.
My take was that she sounded weary of teh DNC and all the pressures she’s going through: look at the end when she ends with “you know I control very little of all this” (or sth. like it).
She did say –quite definitely- that all SD switching and giving her the nomination was “not going to happen”.
But I did not expoected her to say anything different. What she thinks and teh reality “on the ground” (so to speak) noone knows….It is a,long shot that’s for sure unless something definite happens that changes drastically the situation.
She will be on the ballot and her delegates will vote for her.
And since Obama doesn’t have the 2118 needed just from pleadged delegates either it will be ON RECORD that and what the SD will decide.

      • cleffnote

And at that point remember that the Supers vote in secret. That means they really can do anything they want and the DNC would never know who voted what way.

      • basil

I didn’t get she was pissed at the DNC (although she SHOULD be).

In fact, i didn’t sense any anger, just resignation. But I’m going to watch the clip again with everyone else’s perspectives in mind.

She did say that the SD’s switching wasn’t gonna happen.

        F%$#@#$$!!

        • LilRod

          Hillary is a pragmatic realist.

She is all about solving problems..going forward…never dwelling on the past..she is so DAMNED strong

No matter what..she is still THE BEST..THE ONE

  • Leisa

Well, well… Obama needs Hillary to fight his fight for him. Poor little thing…

I thought that she and her supporters were not needed. Oh my bad, I know that O’man and the DNC are above all wrong. Yes, you are right, those who disagree are wrong…

    Agree = good
    Disagree = bad

    ;0

    PUMA!

    • stateofdisbelief

You could tell she was weighing her words very carefully. It could also be that she realizes how bad the DNC has F#$k’d it up for this year’s election that she stands a better chance waiting until 2012 at this point. I’m fearful that things may be so broken at this point she would have a terrible mess to clean up even before the November elections. Not that she couldn’t do it mind you…

Just watching this incredible woman makes me proud yet devastated knowing what could be.

  • athyrio

I am wondering if she is angling for a spot as VP because she knows somehow Obama will be exposed as a fraud before November and she could just pick up the reins….Hmmmmm

    • Leisa

I hope so! That would be a great save!

    • Dawnelle Leona del Puma

I suggested that in an email months ago to Larry and Susan (I didn’t want to put it up on the blog because the trolls were lurking and would no doubt double cross)

I think all of this PUMA fighting for HILLARY will get her the VP but OBAMA has to tank himself on the TOP spot and of course HILLARY after playing fair will be the runner up ready to continue the fight!

      RIGHT?

      lets hope! (fingers crossed)

      • Thomas

Bingo. Whenever you play 21, you never hit 18. All HRC has to do is “stay” and let Obama “bustout”. I think certain party elders are keeping the nomination door open. Not Hillary.

      • ginaswo still says no Uhhbama

this is EXACTLY what I believe will happen!

        WooT!!

    • BlueTopaz

I never thought of that, hmmmm……

    • http://deleted Kathleen

Why would Hillary want to be BO’s VP? Why, heaven’s name, would she want to be part of an administration that is filled with people who stabbed her in the back and who openly cheated her out of the nomination and who would take away what little power that a VP has in exchange for her powerful Senate seat?

For too long, women have always been expected to gladly take second place to a man, even to one who isn’t qualified to be HER VP!?

What I saw in the video was Hillary recognizing that there are powers behind the scenes that have already decided that BO will get the nomination because they have simply paid off and/or threatened enough SD’s that they already know what the floor vote will be. When Hillary basically admitted she had no control over what they decide, pretty much said it for me.

I can only imagine what they have threatened her with in order to stop her from fighting for the nomination, as all of her male counterparts have done in the past. The power elites that have groomed, supported and forced BO down our throats — George Soros and Zbigniew Brezinski and God only knows who else in the patriarchy are participating in this last grasp for power as they know they are now the minority — are determined to have their way, NOW MATTER WHAT.

Hillary met privately with a number of powerful women this past week and I think that’s significant. We can only speculate what the meeting was about, but I feel certain there was some discussion about how to prevent the sexism, in your face double standard that proved to women (particularly those over 40) that we have not come as long a way baby as we thought we had. Women also learned that our so-called progressive brothers are just as sexist as the conservatives. Hillary is doing what she does best — she is making certain that she plans ahead and pave the way for other women to be able to run for high office and not have to put up with the crap she had to. I’m betting that she is developing a strategy that will secure her the presidency in 2012.

I also believe Hillary is stepping back in order to make certain that when BO finally implodes upon himself, there will be absolutely no way for the DNC party leaders or the power elite that made this totally ridiculous mess possible, to put the blame on her and you know they will, if she doesn’t do exactly what she’s doing now!

In the end, I consider it a privilege to have lost with this extraordinaryly principled woman, than to have won (cheated) with this woefully incompetent, unprincipled man.

  • imustprotest

I think it’s incredible that again, Hillary is the one who is out there talking about this and talking about REAL solutions to unify.

    • Leisa

She and her supporters seem to be the ones that have championed that!

Go Hillary! Save our party and our country!

    • Boxer Mum 06

And did you notice – not one stutter..

      aaaahhh, uuummm, wait!… aaahhh..

Why is this candidate not our Dem nominee?

      • Dawnelle Leona del Puma

actually she was charming and witty and like a breath of fresh air compared to the dreadful mean frown BHO always wears…… except of course when he’s grinning like a pole cat which just makes me want to slap someone!!

        • basil

Of course she was great but I missed that spark, the fire, that tone of determination, or maybe it’s because she was talking to a small group?

i dunno. Maybe it’s just me but she doesn’t seem like the same energized passionate woman. It almost felt like she was just going through the motions, that her heart wasn’t in it.

Talk me out of this, please. :-(

          • Jane

She still sounds better than either Obama or McCain.

            • basil

              AGREED!

And she looks a heluvalot better, too.

              :-)

          • No for O

She is a portrait in patience. With this much resilience, it is difficult to believe that the SDs are not taking notice.
I believe that the upper eschelon of the evil DNC is still actively seeking to destroy her, but they need her now.

            Coward Dean & Donkey Brazile:
Oh what a tangled web we weave when we practice to deceive.

          • fif

She is in a very difficult position. I believe she told us the truth when she suspended: she will keep fighting for the issues that are important to the American people. For Hillary, that primarily includes health care. If she does not cooperate with the Dem Party, she will not be able to achieve these goals. She has kept her eye on that ball for 15+ years against all odds. THAT is her priority. She is the opposite of Obama–it’s not about her.

          • Dawnelle Leona del Puma

WELL, it would have helped if the video was straight on….. I couldn’t see her face that well but it seemed to me that she was being humble and being honest about the fact she controls NOT much of what is happening now.

The PEOPLE will have to carry her the rest of the way! To the NOMINATION!!

            PUMA!!!

          • nancysabet

I think she is just being careful about what she says in the public. I honestly think she and Bill are real Jefersonian Dem. and they don’t want to domage the party more than what it’s been done by Dean and co.

    It’s a f***ing Greek Tragedy Indeed!

Aeschylus himself could not have come up with this shit.

    Her observation are so right-on.

They have no clue about how to unify the party… nor do they care to.

We’ll see if their tune changes should The Chosen One continue to fall short of the 50% milestone!

  • lor818

I am still hoping and praying that Hillary is our nominee, but she said that she would put her name on the ballot,do roll call, and then we will all unify and support the chosen one(not me if it isn’t Hillary I am voting McCain)………Why isn’t she saying that she will ask the delegates at the convention to endorse her the better candidate….not numb nuts.I don’t like this. I just hope he keeps emploding and McCain keeps hitting him hard,so maybe Hillary can pull this off.

Do you think we should start calling Hillary’s campagin headquarters and ask if we can assume that she will endorse heself at the convention instead of numb nuts. We should tell them it is a yes or no answer no rehearsed obamabot script. Will she endorse herself at the convention or not yes or no. She even said on the video, that the Superdels do not have to decide until the convention. I hope they don’t just leave us high and dry! Make us happy with her name on the ballot, and then drink the Kool-Aid and fall in line. I will NEVER vote for NObama!!!

      I didn’t like that, either.

because Teh ROOLZ clearly state it is TOTALLy at the discretio fo the chair whether or not to APPROVE putting a nominees name in based on whether o not they FEEL the candidate ASSISTED the party.

      Words to that effect.

There is absolutely nothing else she can say without disqualifying herself from being in nomination.

This is also whys he has to fundraise, she is doing what she HAS to, and so are we, Booyah!!

If we want it to happen, we have to do it, and we are, PUMA!

I miss her in the campaigne. She is the best choice, by far. It must take a lot for her to stand there and speak favorably of BO. He is a joke. I can only hope the DNC listens to the real people not just the voices in their own heads.

    • fif

She kept saying it would be “cathartic.” I took that to mean “symbolic ritual,” but not a real floor fight for the nomination so her supporters can feel they’ve been heard. If it’s not a real nomination battle, then we are still not heard. For me, it doesn’t matter. If she’s not the nominee, he will never get my vote. I do not trust him, and I refuse to legitimatize the corrupt and manipulative behavior of his campaign and the DNC.

  • Denisem

Mickey, I had that problem on AOL. I’m on Firefox now and it’s fine.

  • Pyromancer76

I am not so sanguine about Hillary’s comments. I do not like them and I do not like the tone. Her supporters need “a catharsis” and then they can turn to unity? What’s up with that? I have no respect for that position. I also will never support any ticket that has bHo on it anywhere, and I will be outraged if Hillary would take the VP hoping bHo would tank. There are way too many dangers. I think Hillary supporters are going to have to come to grips with the fact she has vigorously supported the FIRST UNQUALIFIED AND ILLEGITIMATE CANDIDATE FOR PRESIDENT ever put forth by a major political party.

When all is said and done, I remain a PUMA, I do my prowls, I support the efforts in Denver because I believe that devoted, patriotic Americans who love freedom and democracy should take back the Democratic Party. Since I am turning to McCain, I hope many more courageous Americans will change the lying vote-stealing Republican Party. I want a new day for American democracy. The forces backing and supporting bHo are the worst authoritarians we have seen so far. I am so disappointed that Hillary has not pointed the way.

    • pollpatrol

Please remember, this was a unity event. There were Obama supporters there as well. She has to remain gracious and promote unity at these things. The fact she mentioned being in nomination in front of them is amazing I think.

      • basil

I didn’t realize it was a “unity” event.

Thanks for the clarification. That would explain some things.

      • Jane

It does make a difference knowing this was a unity event. Thanks.

    • fif

Easy for you to say–you have no idea what is going on behind the scenes and what she is weighing. I trust her and support her decisions. That does not mean I will vote BO–ever–but I think asking Hillary to risk her entire 35+ year battle to achieve results is too facile. She is a long-term strategist. It could be an extremely self-destructive move on her part if she goes out on her own. I think they threatened her support for her Senate seat after the last primary. She cannot hold her position without some infrastructure support.

    • Andy

I think she is STILL IS TRYING to get her name on teh ballot and a roll call. Should she had behaved any differently they would scratch her completelty. I do not believe is a done deal she’ll be on the ballot. She is just TELLING US SHE WANTS TO.

Do not underestimate her political savvy. True, she will probably not win on a first vote but it will expose forever what SD have done. Her delegates will vote for her on the first call and his delegates for him and then it will be up to SD; who will decide it (and most likely for him). But the historical fact that NEITHER got a pledged delegates majority will be
written and she can only come out of all this stronger for the future.

As for her tone: we can’t expect her to have her “heart”on this at all: she has been pushed, insulted, and what have you. The DNC is constantly politically humiliating her. I think she is standing pretty tall and in a dignified manner and afronting all this with a strength that’s admirable. Just imagine what any other guy would have done (well just look at what they are actually doing –hiding–) or what Teddy K. did at his time.

Also she correctly does not have her heart out there (that is, for Obama.).

Welcome to USAWakeUp.org, the web site that was developed to bring enhanced visibility to this new, violent cultural cancer [Terrorism] facing humanity.
        The purpose of this web site is three fold;
To awaken the American public to THE THREAT of Radical Islam, its purpose and its goals. If you’re of the opinion that Islam is a peaceful religion, you have not read the Qu’ran as it plainly states to kill the infidel if he does not submit or convert. Personally we’re of the opinion, the term “peaceful Muslim” is an oxymoron, if one truly believes and follows the Qu’ran. They may appear peaceful in a public forum, but they speak a different language and show a complete different face when inside their mosque retreats. We’ve been told, via emails from actual Muslims or family members, that many (especially asians) have never read the Qu’ran, but consider themselves devout Muslims. To truly read the Qu’ran we are told, one must read it in arabic – it’s original untranslated version. We admit that we base our opinion on translated versions. If you are are of the opinion that most Muslims are peace loving, please read “Those Who Stand Silent Also Share The Guilt.”

To address the IMMIGRATION CRISIS we are experiencing in this country. If we don’t set limits on who can enter, control our existing borders, and start enforcing our current immigration laws, this country is going to start experiencing the same problems Europe is facing today. If you doubt this, please do some research on what is happening today in France, and has already happened in Spain. If the immigration chart/graph in the immigration section does not alarm you, you either have your head buried in the sand or you did not do well in high school math and don’t understand graphs.

To address the concept of THE FOUR INSTRUMENTS OF NATIONAL POWER and how terrorism is using these instruments to create havoc within our society, and to attain their ultimate goal of destroying America. This concept was an assimilation of ideas and concepts learned by S. R. Gable, Col USAF, Ret during his war College years. This is presented in the flash movie “America Wake Up and in a shorter movie version in the The Four Instruments of National Power described below.
In the “Headlines” section, we will display articles of interest that we find concerning relevant issues on this terrorism threat, immigration issues, and the Four Instruments of National Power (political, economic, psycho-social, and military).
To obtain a better understanding of the threat, refer to the “Movies” page where several short movies describe this threat in great detail.
If you want to read more about the topics presented on this web site, refer to the “Books/Ref” section. These have all been hand picked by us and are for purchase. We have read many of these and they reside on our office bookshelf. We refer to several of them for reference material.
        About The Intro Movie Clip

The purpose of the introduction movie clip is to get one’s attention, not to scare you. It is all based on fact and probabilities. The “Last Gasp” part was taken from an old Reagan speech given many years ago, but we believe the theory is applicable today – maybe even more so. The High-altitude ElectroMagnetic Pulse HEMP nuclear detonation part is real (refer to federal Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack 200-page report), and believe it or not, the Russians contemplated using this type of detonation against us during the Bosnia War. Like the Cuba crises, they backed off due to our retaliation ability. But, how do we retaliate against a terror cell that does not belong to a nation-state? Or, rogue states like Iran, where retaliation only means martyrdom for their leaders?
Our national power grid is one of our weakest points. It’s old, and just like they won’t allow building new oil refineries, the environmentalists will not allow building new transmission lines. In addition, the generating plants are required to be built many miles away from the load, another vulnerability. Also, the current transmission line system is at full capacity, with no reserve built in. Without the power grid, this nation can’t survive long.
More on energy. The environmentalists on the left like to dispel the more conservative side’s “drill at home, clean coal, and nuclear power” energy plan and tout their own “wind, solar, and bio fuels energy” plan as our best energy solution. The problem with this is until there is a huge breakthrough in battery/storage technology to compensate for low periods of wind and sun; this energy source will remain only a small percentage of our total energy solution. Wind and/or solar energy farms will still require at least a 90% capacity conventional power plant to operate in parallel to compensate for these periods. And, what do you do with those old wind generator towers? To get an idea what it may look like on the landscape, visit South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii. Here an old wind farm exists next to a newer one. The older wind farm rusted generator tower hulks sit idle, cannibalized for parts, and present an ugly eyesore on the picturesque landscape. As for bio fuels, until the current drawbacks, like higher pollution, lower efficiency and mileage, corrosiveness, crop distribution and balance with food supplies, and ability to stand on their own without big tax subsidies, are solved these type of fuels will remain a small part of the total energy solution. T Boone Pickens said it right when he said “we need to use every option available to us to wean ourselves off foreign oil.” That includes drilling at home (in the arctic, offshore, etc.), oil from shale technology, clean coal technology, nuclear power plants, wind and solar power, bio fuels, hydrogen and natural gas fuels, etc. To accomplish this will take a lot of bi-partisan agreements and legislation by our Congress and Senate, which sadly to say, will not come easy, if at all.
The Muslim threat is real, part of their 20 year quest to dominate the West. So far, they’re winning, beating us at our own game, by using our own freedoms against us. Europe fortunately is recognizing this threat and is politically moving to the right in seeking a solution to the problem. While America can’t see the forest for the trees and is moving left politically (like Europe did many years ago) and falling right into the trap. This upcoming election will be a big determiner in which direction this country is moving. If the Marxist Barrack Hussein Obama, the most liberal presidential candidate (not to mention has the least experience) in history, is elected President this coming November it will greatly improve the opportunities for our enemies. Obama’s plan to open the borders, reduce the size of the military, devastate the economy by growing the size of government and entitlement programs (and taxing the American people to death to pay for it), and taking away our guns and disarming our nukes, will move this country to a more second rate European socialist style of government. Couple Obama’s election win with a filibuster proof Senate and this country could very well cease to exist as we know it. If this all becomes reality, the last one to leave America turn out the lights, that is if any are still on.
Regardless of your politics, and your personal feelings about Newt Gingrich, please watch this short clip “I Am Deeply Worried.” . The man knows what he is talking about – the threat is real.
        What Can You Do?

We know what it will take to solve the problem and that is a groundswell of patriotic Americans standing up and saying “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Until that happens, be it by writing/emailing/phoning Senators and Congressmen, or a huge turn out at the ballot box, nothing will change and we will sink even further into this abyss.
We can only suggest to get the word out to as many people you know. Broaden your news sources, as the mainstream media is controlled by the Left and they only broadcast, or print, what they want you to hear or read. The mainstream media news coverage is agenda driven and they operate under the caveat “repeat a lie long enough and they will begin to believe it.” You may want to start by checking out some of the links we have provided under “Links,” and/or reading many of the articles from alternative news sources that I have provided links to in the “Headlines” section.
Write and email your Representatives and Senators every time they vote contrary to your beliefs. Phone calls (to their local office as well as Wash D.C. offices) can be effective in gaining their attention. Believe me, if they hear from enough people expressing the same sentiments and opinions, they will listen – they know their re-election may depend on it. Also, letters to the editor of the local newspaper can help. Other than that, we don’t know what one individual can do other than KEEP YOURSELF INFORMED and BE PREPARED.
“The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”…. Albert Einstein

Supreme Court Strikes Down D.C. Gun Ban, and Upholds Individual Right To Keep and Bear Arms
We laud the outcome of this Supreme Court decision, but at the same time we are extremely alarmed at the closeness of the vote, a 5-4 decision. Do you realize that we were only ONE VOTE from losing our right, under the Second Ammenment to keep and bear arms! This is scary because if the socialists on the left win this next election, and the Marxist Obama is in the position of appointing a Supreme Court Justice, be prepared to see more political legislation from the bench and a loss of our Constitutional Rights.
        USAWakeUp.org

        FUTURE AMERICA?
You awake each day to the Muslim muezzin call to prayer from the neighborhood mosque – as millions of Europeans already do.
Liberals espouse “diversity is our strength” as Islamic enforcers cruise the cities in their quest to shutter, or harass any establishment that is contrary to Islamic “sharia” Law. Guns are confiscated and stiff penalties are dished out to citizens who defy the new anti-gun laws. Women are told to cover their hair and face when in public.
You are cautious about attending public events or being part of any large crowd as these are the favorite targets of suicide bombers in their quest to exhibit violence against non-Muslims who resist conversion or surrender. Dissent has been stifled since the Fairness Doctrine was reinstated.
A new Senator is sworn in, one of several Senators that have recently converted to the Muslim faith. Muslim populated districts are increasingly changing the political landscape by sending more electees to Congress.
A recent ruling from the Supreme Court states sharia law does not violate the “separation of church and state.” This ruling paves the way for Islamic controlled municipalities to govern every aspect of religious, political, and personal life of the local populace– [amounting to a form of totalitarianism analogous to Communism].
The Hollywood Left gives up gay rights in favor of the much safer charms of polygamy.
As Mark Steyn [author of the New York Times bestseller “America Alone”] puts it, “The future belongs to the fecund and the confident. And the Islamists are both, while the West — wedded to a multiculturalism that undercuts its own confidence, a welfare state that nudges it toward sloth and self-indulgence, and a childlessness that consigns it to oblivion — is looking ever more like the ruins of a civilization.”
If you think this can’t happen, you haven’t been paying attention to what’s been happening in Europe and the UK. Europe is almost certainly a goner, as Mark Steyn laments in his book, but America can still survive, prosper, and defend its freedom only if it continues to believe in itself, in the sturdier virtues of self-reliance (not government), in the centrality of family, and in the conviction that our country really is the world’s last best hope.
The Muslims have a twenty year goal to conquer the West. They have only a short 13 years remaining until victory, as their quest started in 2000.
Wake up America before it is too late!

First unqualified candidate? Are you nuts?

      Reagan the senile actor?

      Bush the idiot son?

      There are also historical others.

Illegitimate? Weren’t both Bush and Cheney felons? Are felons eligible?

      • Zee

Not to mention the idiot son was also illegitimate because Florida was rigged.

And Cheney was also a resident of Texas, which made it unconstitutional for the delegates there to vote for both him and Bush. I know it’s hard with rich people who have multiple properties in various states, but Texas is where his residence was for years. His former status as a rep for another state was an irrelevant distraction since at that time he lived in Texas.

Susan, what’s the occasion for the tape? Was this today? It looks like it was a rather ad hoc thing.

Oh, the news. Obama is now okay with offshore drilling (with caveats). Another position switch. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080801/ap_on_el_pr/obama

Personally, I’ve always been in favor of limited, careful drilling. But Obama seems to be showing he’ll adopt any position for a vote. What happened here? The pundits and polls said McCain’s pro-drilling position was costing Obama votes.

    • Andy

This seems to ahve been an impromptu meeting of HRC with PUMA-SF and others after “the unity event” in San Fransisco (presumably to help retire her debt but it was a “unity event” of sorts for donors of both). She spoke in person and then he spoke via statellite.
Afterwards this meeting took place –yes ad-hoc– and
Simo_Fish who was there and shook her hand taped it.

      • Andy

        It was yesterday July 31st.

  • JohnnyB

    Susan:

First, yes I am having problems getting on NoQuarter also, it pops up “unable to open this page” from microsoft, but the site is open and I can see it, but I can’t get past the notice. Had to come up and use another computer and it works.

Ok, there’s a movement on out there with Hillary delegates trying to get other delegates to sign a Nomination Petition. This is what Hillary is responding to, look again at the three minute mark.
There will be more on that later.

The New York Daily news article was WRONG.
Call Ian Bishop at the City dest: 212-210-1565 and give him the link to the video at NoQuarter.

Go to the Huff and other sites that you have seen the misinformation about Hillary not wanting to have her name placed in nomination and give them the video link.

Go Hillary and all her supporters, don’t give up the fight. For Party Unity, Hillary’s name MUST be put in nomination and her delegate count recorded for historical purposes. Then, maybe unity can begin, but only then.

  • txchelle

Hillary, PLLLEEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE, we’re trying to make this right. Give us a clue what you’re thinking. Do you really want unity?

    • fif

What difference does it make if she “really wants unity?” I love and support Hillary, but I make my own decisions when it comes to our democracy. She will make her own decisions based on her professional role and goals. I do not have that same perspective. I will not endorse the anti-democratic behavior of the DNC no matter what. We each are responsible for our own choices.

      • Andy

        Agreed !!

She is a politician. I am not.

      • txchelle

It matters to me whether or not Hillary truly wants unity for the 2008 election.

If she does truly want it, then I will vote for McCain with no second thoughts.

If she is saying that she wants unity in response to political pressure, then I will continue to speak out and to press this issue in support of her with every Congressional Representative (Senate & House), every media outlet, every blogger, everyone and anyone who will hear me, listen, and take action.

Whether or not Hillary wants unity doesn’t affect my decision regarding Obama. I will never vote for him. Period.

      • Tucson

She needs to do what she has to do. But, she still needs our support so that she can do what she wants to do for us and our country. I understand that she can’t say what we want to hear from her at this time. She is a super, super smart person….we just have to be patient and trust her. Some day, she will tell us what exactly she was thinking then. Anyway, I do miss her A LOT….hope she will be back at the convention.

  • Denisem

I really don’t think Hillary would vote for Obama.

I also can’t open the Obama wire website on AOL. Like previously described I can see the page but I get an internet explorer error. Hate to be paranoid but it does look like someone doesn’t like these sites.

I am having the same issues. I ran my security program and spyware and there didn’t seem to be anything harmful. After running a diagnostic, it said that everything was okay and if I was having problems logging on just click the refresh button. That seems to have worked.

  • RJ

Yes, Hillary seemed a bit evasive be we have to understand she’s between a “barack” and a hard place. She needs to be very careful about what she says and how she presents herself so as not to appear divisive or self serving. Time is not on BO’s side. The more time goes on, the more that is revealed about him and the more it shows that he is in way over his head…the star is slowly fading. I personally think she is just biding her time and planning for the next phase whether it be for ’08 or ’12. She can’t have any sound bites come back to haunt her.

    WE WILL REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!

    McCain ’08

or Hilary (if she is the dem nominee)

  • Mary

I think she knows they are not going to allow her to win – if she thought she had a chance she would take Florida and Michigan to the Credentials committee – they are supposed to handle any issues on the first day of the convention to get it out of the way (Pre Obama Conventions that is).

I think she is hoping he will lose (I know I am), she will then not be blamed for it, and will run in 2012. If there would be any appearance of her causing him to lose, she would lose the AA vote.

    • basil

Stop-the-Hate-Brazille said HRC could, theoretically, put her name in nomination but said why would she want to do that?

She also sniped at HRC’s supporters, complaining about our unwillingness to ‘get over it’ and accept the inevitable. Hillary lost. Period.

      I DESPISE that hater.

      • Andy

I despise that hater with passion!!

    • fif

I agree. The power players made it very clear to her after the last primary that she would not have their support to go to the Convention. Remember how much pressure they put on her (and that’s only what we saw in public!) to suspend within the week? You might think Hillary is a Superhero (I do :) ), but she can only fight alone and get so far. Like it or not, it’s a huge interconnected system, and having support is essential.

      • Andy

Indeed, there was an article at teh time that what made her change her mind the Wednesday after the last Tuesday when she won South Dakota was that
in a conference call Charles Rangel snapped at her and told her to give it up already. Once she lost her support she moved to teh Saturday event immediately. Rangel has too much power in NY and was the one who put her name forward for the Senate seat.
Once she lost him everything went to hell.

        • Andy

I meant “once she lost his support”

  • CB

This was an event that happened yesterday evening. I attended, signing up for an opportunity to meet Hillary in a smaller gathering and its purpose was to help retire her debt. It was not advertised to me as a “Unity” event but a “top Obama bundler” was there.

He urged his bundlerees in an email message that someone published on HuffPoop to donate to help Hillary pay off her debt in the interest of party unity. I noted several self-professed Obama bundlerees there, but it was 99.9% Hillary supporters of the first rank (those who have worked for Hillary’s election). Donations from any person to help out were most welcome by all.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/07/31/top-obama-bundler-urges-d_n_116154.html

Hillary did look a bit tired, but she had done a thousand time more than I did that day, and I was tired, but really thrilled to be able to have a moment to interact with her after she spoke. That day she had already been to one or two fundraiser in S.F. and spoke before 3,000 union members in S.F. (where she received a long, standing ovation) and probably a quarter of a day hours getting to California unless she was already nearby.

What Clinton said was “The best way hat we can stand up for you…is
to make sure we have a Democratic president taking the oath of office
    on January 20, 2009.”

I don’t think that I would be totally ebullient if I were she after what the Democratic Party did to her. She was, however, energetic, uplifting, and very very personable up close. I admire her more and more. I’ve been involved in politics for as long as I can remember (it was my mother’s hobby). I told Hillary that fact and said that she is our most favorite candidate ever, and that my mother just had to vote for her so she is writing her name in on the ballot.

Hillary’s eyes reveal a wise and intelligent being. She has a generous and embracing smile. No wonder people love her. There is zero arrogance. She is the real deal.

As for BO, I don’t see what she has to gain by playing second fiddle to an overreaching, shallow politician with a thin resume and unscrupulous past.
She is right that if her name isn’t placed in nomination and her delegates aren’t given a chance to jump up and down and be enthusiastic for her, that the charade of party unity is up for an even wider circle of voters. I predict disunity (and many fewer votes) if Hillary is humiliated by Obama in any way.

I can’t see why a Senator from New York would want to be involved with an incompetent administration, assuming the American people can be further duped into electing him.

    • fif

  • scorbs

She is incredible. I’ve seen a lot over the years, in business, and Clinton’s superlative, among the best.

She wants people to go through the process and then feel like they’ve been “heard,” by the Obama people, who should “acknowledge” the importance and value of her supporters and invite them into the process.

Then the Dems go into the November season united.

It’s unlikely superdels will reverse themselves, in the face of the money they’ve been given or MSM pressure. She realizes that.

Both Caroline Kennedy and Obama and DNC make a mistake in thinking that Obama has some kind of mandate. He simply doesn’t. The electorate is split, will remain split, and Obama does not have the credentials, credibility, or the maturity to unite the voting public. It ain’t going to happen.

No one can make him into a leader. He isn’t there. Since the DNC and superdels have selected this, Clinton is saying what will help.

    • Jane

She wants people to go through the process and then feel like they’ve been “heard,” by the Obama people, who should “acknowledge” the importance and value of her supporters and invite them into the process.

I don’t want her to go to convention just to appease people and have it be a farce.

Otherwise, I’ll feel like Howard Dean fucked me and didn’t even give me flowers.

And I’ll vote accordingly. As most of us will.

I guess those assholes need to “hear” that, eh?

      NObama in NOvember.

She knows full well she’s got no option but to support the presumptuous nominee. For now, anyway.

Testosterone is for bullies who don’t know how to use their brains.

She probably also knows full well that, unless BO crashes and burns before the convention and she’s nominated, that the Democratic candidate isn’t going to win in the fall.

She has always had the ability to see to the horizon. Obama can’t see his shoelaces, which is why he wears loafers.

She sounds to me like someone with her eyes on the horizon. She doesn’t want the second slot, she’ll wait for the top job.

She sounded, like there’s talking going on in the background between her Obama and the DNC.On what would unify the party. She said she has no control, and hopes everyone will leave the party happy,or feeling good,at the decision.

I know she loves her country, and her 18 million people that voted for her,I also remember in her last interview, she wants a democrat in the White House. She never mentioned Obama’s name

I think something is going to come out about Obama, and he will pass the reins to her. I sure hope so. Maybe that’s why he doesn’t want to debate Mccain, because he knows he’ll lose. I still say she will be the nominee, imo. My gut is telling me this.

PUMA in Ohio– I believe Hillary will get the
nomination–there is just WAY TOO MUCH crap now
on BHO even for the DNC and delegates to go that
way–it would be totally political suicide for
the Dems to make BHO the nominee. The party is
all but FALLING APART. Life-long Dems are going

Read Corsi’s book “Obama Nation”– you will find
out all the MISTRUTHS and OUTRIGHT LIES Obama
has told in his speeches and his own books.
He has a strong Muslim/Islamic background from
his Kenyan father. They are from the Luo Tribe
which is strongly Islamic/Muslim. So why BHO would
want to hide that from us is beyond me.
Also, his father had numerous wives, including
another white woman from the U.S. who he took to
Kenyan with him and had several children. The book
debunks the “image” that has been staged by BHO
for this election. Corsi has 30 pages of footnotes
    and impecible research.
