A story out of Radio Netherlands tells us that Al Qaeda has its own body scanners and they are practicing beating them.

A body scanner at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport would not necessarily have detected the explosives which the would-be syringe bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab had sewn into his underwear. A Dutch military intelligence source told De Telegraaf newspaper that Al Qaeda has its own security scanners and has been practicing ways of concealing explosives.
The terrorist group has even carried out test runs at smuggling explosives through European airports, the paper reports.

  • I’m a Linda too

Thank you.  I find myself nodding as I watch Larry.

  • I’m a Linda too

This morning hubby and I were talking about the reactionary methods the airlines, TSA and Govt will probably take.  I immediately visualized a toon Pat will be making, “Immediate security steps placed”  , a ball sniffing dog at each security checkin.

Then hubby mused over the scene in Animal with Rob Schneider where he was sniffing that guys butt before pulling out the drugs.  And we chuckled how that most likely will be edited for “new instructions”.

Hubby said he doesn’t expect this technique to be much success for Al Qu’da.  It’s just too hard fo rmen to visual their sacks being blown off if and before anything else happens.  Then he added, so much for selling the “Virgin” story for their eternal rest, they will be entering without their package to do anything with all those Virgins. lol

I ran home last night to catch Larry on pbs.  Fine job, Larry!  I’ve been reading you for nigh 2 years now, but never saw you on the telly.  I plan to contact pbs and encourage them to call on you more often.
If anyone else would like to e-mail pbs:  onlineda@newshour.org.

Way to go Larry!  Country first!

Really good–I watched live and recorded it to rewatch again with guests to show off the fellow whose blog I visit often!  People are really impressed with your knowledge and experience.
