A letter from one of our readers to me

Dear Susan,

I watched your video and at the end … weeped for our loss.

I don’t think there is another candidate nor has there ever been another candidate who is more qualified, prepared and earnest than Hillary Clinton. She also is more courageous than any other person who ever walked this earth.

For her to have been skewered and us to be left with what we have representing us is tantamount to a world disaster.

Thank you. It is my hope that HRC is nominated and that each and every one of her delegates votes for her and that some of the O ‘folks’ who got caught up in his empty rhetoric-do the right thing and vote for Hillary.

I think it is especially important for those delegates, from the states she won, to do the right thing.

They will be responsible for the biggest failure of any party any time if they do not vote for Hillary Clinton.

Frankly, this has been the hardest event of my life to justify and settle in my soul. I just can’t find peace over this.

If the superdelegates wake up at the convention when their votes are cast, tears of frustration could turn to tears of joy.

Just think how different it would be with Hillary,

No questions about honor to country
No questions aboout Marxist and terrorist associations.
    No questions about inexperience
No questions about drug use and other activities

    and finally,

No question about who will keep America safe!

    Hillary!!!

  • MEchelle Hates America!

Don’t get hurt – get even.

The Oblowme thugs don’t give a shit if you cry.

Guess why the convention for the first time ever – is in a stadium?

So, that Oblowme can drown out any opposition, which in a convention hall would have been nearly half the people in the place.

    Don’t be a schmuck.

    Donate to McCain now.

    Vote against anyone supporting Oblowme.

Hillary Clinton asks not to be nominated at Democratic National Convention

    Sakuma/AP
Petitions abound, but Hillary Clinton won’t put in for a nomination, insiders say.

Hillary Clinton has decided against being nominated for President at the Democrats’ Denver convention, but many of her more die-hard partisans may vote for her anyway.

A source close to the New York senator confirmed she won’t file a formal request to the convention asking to be nominated along with Barack Obama, who eked out the victory in their fierce primary slugfest.

“She is not going to submit the signed request,” the insider told the Daily News. “People are still circulating petitions on her behalf, but this is a done deal.”

Party rules stipulate that Clinton must ask in writing to be nominated herself and also submit a petition signed by 300 to 600 delegates. Without her signed request, petitions of support are meaningless.

Her nomination would be window dressing because Obama’s nomination is assured. But many of Clinton’s most ardent boosters believe it’s symbolically important to certify her glass ceiling-shattering candidacy with a formal nomination.

  • http://www.greensunshine.net jadwiga

I will donate to McCain after the Convention – if Hillary is not the nominee.

  • hillarysmygirl

Before we rush to McCain’s side, let’s donate to the Denver Group, let’s support PUMA, let’s write letters to the SD’s, let’s make sure Hillary’s name is in nomination!

I’m still devastated too. The DNC was so sure that we’d just “get over it,” but it’s not happening because we were ROBBED! If Oblowme had won fair and square, without the DNC’s help, without the bullying and cheating at caucuses, this wouldn’t be pain, it would be resignation. But I’m furious. Mostly I’m furious at the MSM for continuing the fantasy…they’re just so sure he’s the rightful nominee, even though he doesn’t have enough pledged delegates either, just the empty promises of the SD’s who wanted publicity. If we have a fair and open nomination, and Oblowme wins, so be it. But if he manages to finagle a coronation instead of a true nomination, THEN, I will work as hard as I did for Hillary to make sure he doesn’t become POTUS.

  • hillarysmygirl

I’ll believe it when I hear it directly from her mouth. Even Judge Judy would say that she doesn’t accept hearsay.

  • CountryFirst

The NY Daily News is reporting that Senator Clinton will NOT file the paperwork necessary to place her name in nomination at the Democratic National Convention later this month in Denver, CO.

  • Why?

    LOL thats fair hillarysmygirl :)

  • http://www.greensunshine.net jadwiga

This is a big pile of BS!

I have seen a recording Hillary saying that she does want to be in nomination as the party unity requires fair election. She doesn’t expect however to become the nominee. (That is the job of the delegates anyway.)

It was posted here in an other thread.

  • http://www.logisticsmonster.blogspot.com/ DiamondTiger

I think you need to go here:

    http://alegrescorner.soapblox.net/showDiary.do?diaryId=431

Her name is going into nomination. This is just another Borg Collective manuever to make everyone look away from them using the race card….just like trotting out Edwards after a big Clinton win in the primaries.

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

    It’s all deja vu really.

The only thing the Democratic party learns from its own history is how to repeat its own mistakes exactly.

Each and every time the far far far left fringe of left over socialists, marxists and radicals attempt to hijack our party, the party becomes marginalized again.

The truth is, Obama’s sycophants scare America more than the war does. That happened before too. That’s how we got Richard Nixon’s second term. That’s how we got George Bush the First.

The people simply will not stand for it. That is why Obama is polling so badly at a point when he should be up major double digits. We don’t trust him. We don’t trust him with our country. We don’t trust him with our lives. We don’t trust his friends. We understand the concept of “show me who your friends are and I will show you what you are”.

All of this is the reason the Democratic party has only elected two presidents in 40 years, soon to be 44. And only one of them served two terms–after having literally rescued a dead party. Yet Obama and his whackjob supporters vilified him. He took the party out of the crapper. The same crapper we are about to go into again. Brought to us by the same Crappers. Always, they use The Children. That alone is a sign of how convoluted they really are.

America is not interested in being lorded over by neo-liberal fascists any more than they are in love with the neo-con fascists. These nutjobs have become the very thing they say they hate about Bushites. Mirror images, really. Just look around. Attempts to quell dissent. Threats. Web scrubbing. Repeated lies followed by indignant scoffs. Complete disappearance of vital records on a Narcissist who thinks he can be the leader of the free world. He even likes FISA. Only a cult zombie would not see this as a red flag.

There’s an added red flag here. Obama has consistently under performed the polls in primaries. There is no reason to imagine that has changed.

Those whom the gods would destroy must first be made drunk with power. And if anybody is drunk right now, it’s Barack Obama and his America Hating, marxist leaning friends.

  • CountryFirst

I think the SDs valued money over democracy!

  • Brodie

That is NOT what she said in response to a direct question. I posted the video the other day on this site. I don’t believe this statement at all.

  • katmandu

You’re a little late with that — it was debunked here and at The Real Barack Obama yesterday.

  • jyotinc

To CountryFirst: Where have you been? This is old news. Watch the recent video of Hillary and from there you can make your own conclusion, instead of relying in that “made-up” stories. You really have to support the democratic process in the convention whether you like Hillary or not. If you’re pretty sure that Obama practically wrap up the nomination, there is nothing to be afraid of. If he is meant to be the nominee after this roll call and nomination of Hillary, then we can say we have Unity after all.

  • Nicole

And that’s wrong — it’s called “disinformation” and put out by the Axelrove/Obama campaign. Go check out Riverdaugher’s site to see the video of Hilary saying she wants her name on the ballot.

  • kinthenortwest

This is a bit off topic but I was wondering about others intake on this.
I just found this little tibit on the news.
How many of you have watched Extreme Makeover: Home Edition? I have a few times and though what lucky people. I will admit I have wondered how the family would pay for the added expenses; you know higher maintanence, utilities, taxes and etc. Well here is one the families that was helped two years ago and all of the taxes and maintenance were taken care of for years to come. Only one problem the family found a way to get added cash ($450,000) from the house and are now losing it to a mortage. http://www.accessatlanta.com/entertainment/content/entertainment/tv/stories/2008/07/25/extreme_makeover_foreclosure.html

This made me think of our new Home Mortage bill just passed. A bill that is costing the US somewhere around 1 trillion dollars. How many people will get a second chance on keeping their home and then use this second chance to get additional funds for ??? You see I have a friend that remortaged their house about 4 xs. Everytime the property prices went up they got a new loan, paid off their debts, and then build up their credit cards again. No, luckily they are not one of the many that will be looking for help from the goverment, but how many of these people who are lookine for help, in a similar boat?

My small little home is paid for, yet every year I struggle to pay the taxes and the upkeep on it. As I am getting older it is harder to maintain a home. I am trying to sell it so that I can downsize and am even willing to take a 10 to 20 percent loss. You see I felt it was better to scrimp a bit and get the home paid off versus using its equity for luxuries I couldnt afford.

  • Brodie

OK- here’s the link to the video where Hillary answers the question directly. She DOES NOT say she won’t allow herself to be nominated.

    Susan:

Last night as I played the clip of Hillary speaking in SF, my wife also said — “why is she not the nominee?” And then added, “It would be nice to vote for someone, like Hillary, than have to vote against someone.”

Also, it looks like Obama is partially conceding he played the race card:

do you really think she would win if they gave her the nomination?
You don’t think all or most of Obies supporters would stay home or cast for Mac?
It is a bad and hopeless strategy. Political suicide if she gets the nomination

It would be his supporters doing what all of us(her supporters) are doing.
I understand holding onto hope. But this will not be her time and if by a miracle she gets it. She will lose.

I love her and want her as prez as much and more. However, she is not foolish. Bill is one of the best pols and she is to.
You can’t bench the guy in the 4th qtr along with his team and supporters and think in 2 months she can get everything back.
    It just won’t happen.
I gave up on Hillary this year after June.
Sign up for McCain and make sure Obama the fraud loses.

There is a very good reason she is raising money for a 2012 campaign, ALREADY. She says it is for the senate but i bet my last dollar it is for another run.

And she will win. she already has 18 million at her side and all the lessons from her mistakes this go.
I am not trying to be rude to anyone here. It just is not realistic. She would lose most of all O’s supporters and 18 mill is not enough. Alot of poeple would hate her even more than they did now.
She was robbed but we have to press on until 012.

  • jyotinc

  • beachnan

Still praying for a miracle. Thangs can change quickly in politics. Obama’s blunders keep piling up. If MSM would take the blinders off it would be helpful, otherwise it is up to us to convert people, one person, one vote at a time. We can do this.

  • salt

Dean, Pelosi, Kennedy and the SD’s will never allow Hillary to take her rightful place as nominee this year that’s over. Now next phase is Hillary in 2012 and Dean Pelosi, Kennedy, Daschle, McCaskill and the rancid DNC rulz committee need to be run out of power on the nearest BUS and a more diverse group representing the make up of the Base needs to be seated quickly after the loss of the WH regardless of Congressional gain they have betrayed us for personal power stolen our money under false pretense. They lied and rigged the race against the will of the Base that cannot stand if you want the Party to continue. For that we must not allow another their pick and unqualified for the office of President weak Party puppet with an ideological co enabling Congress to gain power that would be the true 3rd Bush term.

  • Shainzona

    Sigh.

  • MEchelle Hates America!

She’s obviously been promised something, which she isn’t sharing with her supporters…

Or do you buy that HRC now thinks Oblowme has all the answers no matter how ever changing, dangerous, and all over the place?

She didn’t have to play nice after being screwed over.

And if she trusts the DNC maybe she isn’t so smart after all.

I couldn’t stand it when she did a Tammy Wynette with Bill.

A meme I will be continuing to work at: Obama is lousy at basic economics. Dangerously lousy. Here’s an editorial form Investors’ Business Daily, conservative in economic outlook to be sure. But they are right about this:

    http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=302483718997031

Obama thinks he can print money and spend our way out of economic problems. I’m opposed to McCain’s social stances, but his view that the government is overspending its way to disaster is correct. McCain has been right about that for years. It’s a major reason I may vote for McCain.

My credentials — 28 years years as a lawyer specializing in regulatory economics issues at four different regulatory agencies.

The problem will still be the same, only there will be more zeros at the end of the debt total. This is a lesson most of America just doesn’t want to learn the easy way.

I agree, things can and usually do change quickly. I will still hope even up to the last day for Hillary to be nominated at convention.

Yes, whoever posted that is in Troll Territory. We all know perfectly well HRC said on video that she wants to be in nomination. End of story.

  • steven Mather

    Paul has a good point.

The leadership of the DNC undermined the fairness of the selection process. In doing so, they violated the sacred trust that binds the members of the party together. The sacred trust is the mutual respect that each and every member is supposed to share with each other, so that whatever outcome occurs in the selection process, all accept that the process was fair and, thereby, accept the decision. In this regard, members are supposed to reject unfair processes, even if it disadvantages their favorite. In other words, all for one and one for all.

If members are abused by their party, which effectively disenfranchises them through an unfair process, then they have no obligation to support either the process or the result. In fact, they have a duty to reject both the process and the product because, as manifest in their disenfranchisement, it severs the mutual bonds that make the people into a party.

With regard to this point, the DNC has poisoned the well for 2008. Regardless of whether the candidate is Obama or Clinton, except in very few scenarios, such as an Obama resignation, a death, or a huge scandal, supporters of either candidate will be right to view the process as being unfair and justified in withholding their support for the nominee

The DNC’s senior members are responsible for abandoning their roles as referees and, thereby, creating this situation by treating “some members as more equal than others.” They have divided the party. The senior members of the DNC should resign.

  • Pollpatrol

The NY Daily news said A SOURCE SAID that. And it has been proven FALSE by Hillary herself. The fact you are posting that makes me think you need to crawl back under the bridge.

  • mimi

If this is true, then she’s been coerced into this, which I anticipated would happen.

They are going down with 0bama. They simply must see the Election play out with 0bama’s defeat and hopefully many of theirs.

They refuse to believe that we make up enough people to hand this man a defeat.

Either that, or the Election is rigged. Which I also suspect.

    I don’t blame Hillary.

She’s up against a machine. It’s really up to us to turn the next page.

    Third Party people.

    Vote the other Dems out!

  • mimi

I agree with that. The logistics are grim for her this year.

I think mostly I’m fantasizing just to get through the day.

    But I haven’t lost focus.

    I will vote for McCain.

  • RunningDogLackey

“She also is more courageous than any other person who ever walked this earth.”

Spare me. More courageous than Jesus? More courageous than the boys on Omaha Beach? More courageous than Chris Reeve?

My ass. She’s just another waffling, conniving politician, momentarily elevated to cult worship.

And, yes, that would be “wept” in a literate world.

  • Gary McGowan

    While my guitar gently _________

The world is full of surprises :)

  • mimi

    This may be true.

But what if the Election is rigged and he wins.

What does that mean for her in 2012?

There are a lot of people who are not going to vote for McCain. I’m not one of them, but there are those.

    What then?

  • mimi

Okay, we’re all on the same page here. The hyperbole has been put in its place. No need to beat a dead horse.

  • Ferdberfle

Pardon us, runningdullardlunkhead, of course Oblahblah is the Messiah. How did we forget since you come here daily to preach. Why don’t you find yourself a street corner on skid row from which to orate. They might even give you some change to give to your Messiah.

  • RunningDogLackey

Yeah, surprises. As in, the song says “weeps,” not “weeped.”

Nice gape, Gary. Please report to the locker room for your wedgie.

Geeze Steve, what do I have to do to get four?

    Nevermind. Don’t answer….

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

I like Hillary a great deal, and admire her groundbreaking run, but let’s not get lost in hyperbole.

This is an all time low for you.

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Hey Running, we don’t appreciate your high-horse grammar correction bullshit. Cut it out, you piece of shit. How’s that for correct syntax????

  • Gary McGowan

    Hmmm…

My last try at this didn’t post…

Google Books has a full text search–about 380 instances of “weeped”, mostly from the mid-1800s.

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary of English Usage says it is “far too rare to be judged as a standard variant. Use wept”

But our faithful reader/writer is exonerated. ;)

    W00T!

    W00T!!

you MAKE me respond don’t cha know
    heh ;-)

  • Gary McGowan

You didn’t click on the linkey, lacky.

  • Cat in NJ

Hillary also has a successful 40 year career in the Democratic Party. They screwed her over big-time, which to me is unforgivable. But if she has aspirations for 2012, as well as preserving the respect and power in the Senate she has earned, she does not want to alienate her party with non-support right now. Injustice is prevailing now, but the will of intelligent, concerned Americans (and karma) will eventually prove the DNC wrong. It’s doubtful, though, that integrity is salvageable. IMHO.

Soon to be cleanup in Aisle six!

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Yeah Lackey knows a dozen versions of Muthafucka though.

  • Gary McGowan

Beating dead horses is what little lackie does.

    Bad -Obama

    Better- McCain

    (Best)- (Hillary)

I would like to say something. If they riot in Denver, I’ll tell you those people who are (Denver Bronco fans). If you mess with the stadium so that the Broncos can’t play there will be Riots in the streets of Denver.

  • RunningDogLackey

Should be a comma after “Hey.” Just sayin’.

  • RunningDogLackey

    John 11:35: “Jesus wept.”

    I stand with our Savior.

  • Cat in NJ

Is it so completely wrong that I, who have voted for the Dems since Mondale in ’84, will support McCain this year … in hopes of keeping a dangerously inexperienced, supremely hypocritical Marxist with despicable mentors out of office? I do not have any faith in Obama, none at all.

I already know what I’m doing. Just curious where others, with this similar dilemma, stand. This is on the presumption that Hillary is not part of the process.

  • RunningDogLackey

I’m a white man from Warren, Ohio, you racist.

I’ve spend 53 years trying to shake off the corn-cobs and small-town euphemisms for “other.”

However, I did learn the word “cock-holster” while I was growing up. But only now do I know what it means.

    Thanks, Uppity! You’re a cock-holster.

  • RunningDogLackey

    A) Hillary IS part of the process, and always has been. Without the Party, she’s Zell Miller with a donation cup.

    B) I’m not sure what it is you think McCain’s going to do. His Senate party-mates think he’s a dangerous loose-cannon, and a Dem majority will blunt him at every turn.

    C) You may not like Obama, but he’s already absorbed Hillary’s advisors and is frankly unlikely to “embarrass the team.” A Dem Congress will confine him to a fairly conventional liberal course.

    D) I’m pretty sure you’re as much a life-long Democrat as I am a lifelong Martian, but you’re welcome to troll. Truth is, Obama is Hillary with fewer negatives and a better chance at 8 years in office. You can push the fake war-hero/Rhino or you can help undo 2 terms of anti-democracy rule.

It’s up to you, Cat. It all depends on how much you hate yourself, and how many calories you can suck out of a daily bowl of “Regret.”

Being hyper-educated means you begin with 4 stars. I have an extreme bias in favor of educated women.

It have to do with people who want a bigger and better house but don’t want to cut back on their life style. We all know that income level aren’t going up. You take and you have to give.
Unfortunately, Most Americans (especially the Gen X,Y) grew up with the boomer taking care of them, and they had not learn earning money the hard way in their early age, and don’t know how to manage their money as a result of it. That’s why a lot of them live on debt just as our Federal government is doing.

There are also people who speculated on the housing market by risky loan practice, and got bit on their butt. As I said, these generations want profit but didn’t want to take the time to be informed.

I had used equity to make investment often enough. The most important issue is to understand the true cost of your investment. Never get into ARM loans, and never buy anything that your life style can’t sustain as well as always have reserve in case of emergency. Use credit card to your advantage(0 interest when you can leave your money to earn interest), no to lose an arm and a leg to big bank.

I will make my daughter(who’s 4 now) get a job as soon as she turn 15. That hopefully will help her avoid the same mistake made by many young people today.

By the way, I wont rely on SS for my retirement, and hope it will last long enough for most of the retiree though.

  • andySF

Too bad. I am not white and don’t need some white guilt liberal to save me. And I don’t mind being call Racist. I don’t owe anything to any skin color, period.

    Let’s see, Obama for,
    off shore drilling?
    Fisa?
    Private funding?
    Keeping a force in Iraq?
    Tax relief for energy?
    no universal health care?
    Expand Faith base initiative?
    For the death penalty?
For gun ownership and for hand gun ban?
    Against late term abortion?

He’s not like Hillary, he’s more like Bush for the exception that he’s a master in race baiting.
If the your only argument is that O=D, and M=R, than you’re incapable of using your cerebral reasoning skill.

Don’t copy and past from O site, we all know his plan lack detail, and are full of it. It you can give me detail workable plan for the next 4 years(I don’t mean 30 years plan that he won’t be around to be blame), bring it on. You mind change some mind that way instead of trying to brand people racist, you racist!

  • andySF

    You might, not you mind

  • alee21

Your alias suits you – you are indeed a running dog and lackey for Obama.

Sorry, I don’t hate myself, at least not enough to vote for Obama, who is a sitting time bomb – the guy is do anything say anything to win kind of candidate, someone without core values, who is ignorant (BTW, don’t spew the law professor bullshit on me – he was a part time lecturer not a professor – real professors are disrespected when Obama and his minions call him professor), a flip-flopper on EVERY issue, who tries to be cool – who is in love with himself.

Poor pathetic sob and all those obamabots – you will all come crashing down. Who knows, he may even try to push the draft on all of you besotted adoring masses.
