Just saw Larry’s comment on CNN.  The one way ticket is a jaw dropper. Will keep an eye out for the show.

OK, now this is getting strange, the guy didn’t have a passport!?!?  The airline needs to if their ground personnel were following procedures and if not some one needs to be re-trained or fired.

Off subject but….5 Canadians died today and I don’t see anything on our media.  I have a Canadian friend who has 2 sons in Afghanistan.  I searched on the web to find the names of the deceased.  His sons are safe for now.  One was a women reporter for a Canadian newspaper.  It’s strange how we can make fun of Canadians but have no respect when one does beside us.

  • sowsear

I’m unaware that we make fun of Canadians.

  • sowsear

Some do drive a little crazy on I81 in my state, especially those with Quebec license plates, but make fun, no.

  • Olivia1998

Not on No Quarter.  Sorry I didn’t mean here.  On the news, comedians etc.

I knew I had read about it on the web.

It was a suicide bomb that killed 8 Americans and 5 Canadians.  I think they are holding out names until their kin is notified first, and/or a positive identity is made.

My prayers and condolences go out to any that were close to these men.

Technology is not the answer to everything Larry….

TSA must be heald accountable for allowing any foreign airpoort not to meet strick security standards as per 49 U.S. Code Section 44907. Now lets see werestricted and banned flights from Murtala MuhammednInternational Airport in Lagos, Nigeris from entering the US between 1993 and 1999 for lack of security PRE-911! P R E 911….

So the airport upgardes a little and we remove the restriction…. Now POST 911 and we are doing what????? ZERO! We are not forcing any foreign airport to meet our security requirements ? Big deal on the technology! Its just not needed over here, its needed over THERE! We need to force by law and treaty foreign airport to submit all passenagers that are US bound to be scanned not just for guns and knives but for explosives…..

Yes, let’s hope that the media continue to have Larry on.  We need a common-sense, knowledgeable voice.

There were a couple points Larry made that I haven’t heard elsewhere:

    (1)  If we go after too much, there’ll be a blizzard of information impossible to get through — and then there are the hundreds of false reports daily to sift through; and

    (2) The man did not have a WINTER COAT with him — utterly nonsensical if he were planning to land in Detroit in December.  But I wonder if the TSA and airline staff are so reliant on technology that they don’t think of the important common-sense “tells” like that.

Larry should have his own TV or radio show.  If CNN gave him a show, they might revive their sinking ratings.  I bet that the ratings for Larry King Live have soared in the past couple nights because King rightly had informed guests on about vital subjects.

  • Binky

I’m surprised that CNN invites Larry as a guest at all.  I stopped watching them during the primaries.  Larry King was sickeningly transparent in his bias regarding the Democrat and Republican candidates.  He pretends to be so “fair and balanced” when he obviously was not.  I don’t know, maybe he got food-poisoned on the koolaid!

“The man did not have a WINTER COAT with him.”

I hadn’t heard that detail before Larry J. said it on King’s show.

From everything I’ve read, the red flags should have been waving like mad before the plane took off.

    But they weren’t.

I also read an interesting detail at RBO regarding an American lawyer who claims to have seen this kid before he boarded in Amsterdam.  The lawyer and his wife were playing cards when Abdulmutallab and a well-heeled “Indian” man approached the boarding desk.  The Indian man presumably said that his young companion was from Sudan, did not have the proper paperwork but that “this had been done before.”  They were directed to a manager afterwhich Abdulmutallab was permitted to board the plane.

I haven’t heard this anywhere on the MSM.  And this lawyer [Kurt Haskell] was interviewed several times by the FBI.

Something doesn’t smell right about this whole incident.

Whoops!  That double post thingie happened again.  And PO is nowhere in sight. ;)
