I don't think Hillary was prepared for this kind of fight in the beginning. At times, she looked stunned by remarks by people like Elizabeth Edwards. I do feel sympathy for Mrs. Edwards and I hope her husband has been honest with her even if he hasn't been with others. Anyone going through chemo or radiation treatments for cancer needs a supportive and loving environment. A positive frame of mind, being able to share doubts or fear, to look forward to the future are so important to recovery. Looking back from this perspective, it is clear why and how so many things happened. I don’t think Hillary was prepared for this kind of fight in the beginning.
