    I had dismissed this theory at first, but now it sounds like there is something there. A lot of hard work obviously went into this. I wonder what Markos thinks about this.

    What I can’t understand is with the corporate medai starting to turn on Obamalamadingdong exactly as predicted during the primary fiasco why haven’t any of the major outlets picked up this story? Are they waiting for the case to be ironclad proven beyond a shadow of a doubt? I am no expert on cyberforensics, but the case laid out here is VERY, VERY compelling to my untrained eye. There is a poster over at TM that claims to have the expertease to debunk the case made here. Any chance you and Ms. Marsh could get together and let them have at it to get to the truth?

        How do you think nice young girls end up as prostitutes? They’re usually in a situation where they feel they have no alternative.

        I think Marsh felt she had no alternative. She was…AFRAID.

        It’s her problem. Ignore her. Life is too short to worry about her picking and carping, and she’ll be shown, at the end of the day, to have behaved in a cowardly manner and to have backed the wrong horse.

    Having followed TexasDarlin’s work on the BC issue, it seems that Obama was born in HI, may have been adopted by Lolo Soetoro and HI sealed his original BC and re-issued one for Barry Soetoro. Indonesia may or may not consider him a citizen, it is unlikely that he renounced his American citizenship and he probably didn’t officially change his name back to Barak Hussein Obama II.

    If Obama was born on US soil, is a US citizen and his legal name is Barry Soetoro..is this a disqualification for the election or just an embarrassment?

      This is 2008. We are in the era of the single unmarried mother. Women who go to sperm banks to get pregnant. Teen mothers with no husbands, which 0bama’s mother was. High divorce rates abound.

      We are not in the pristine 1950′s. We are in the 21st century and with the exception of those batshit rightwing nutjobs, people are more grounded in the realities of life. When it comes to electing a POTUS, most people, especially after Bush, are more interested in how the candidate lives and has lived his/her life. His grandparents certainly provided him with a decent home and sent him to private school.

      I call bullshit on 0bama and whatever reasons he has that he feels justified to lie. He’s a LIAR! And after being lied to by Bush/Cheney about WMDs, I’m not interested in seeing another liar in the WH.

      This is a guy who wrote not one, but TWO books…about HIMSELF.

      That whole adoption thing would be kind of a big deal, doncha think? Something worth mentioning when you put your life “out there?”

      Of course, when your Chicago constituency isn’t chock full of Indonesians, it doesn’t pay to fluff up that part of your resume. We don’t, here in the US, talk much about “The Indonesian-American Experience,” and the “struggle” of Indonesians to make it in the Promised Land. There’s just no juice in the Indonesian story, except to paint himself as an outsider, a stranger in a strange land.

      There’s also no juice in a story where this Indonesian guy, oil executive, bit of a drinker, warts and all, says, “I will be your father, and you are my son.” That’s not the father he wanted to be getting his DREAMS from.

      Even though this is the little sarong-clad boy who went to mosque with Lolo, in a father-son way…per his childhood friends in Indonesia, who thought he looked funny enough dressed in a sarong to remember it and mention it.

      A distant, absent father is “cooler.” OH…how I have SUFFERED, with no father! Pay no attention to Gramps or Lolo, now. That strikes a chord in his constituency. See, Barack had no daddy, either!

      I don’t think his citizenship is at issue. He was born in Hawaii. His mother was probably unwed, legally speaking, because daddy was a bigamist, so her marriage was not legal, no matter what Vital Statistics reported contemporaneously with his birth.

      What’s at issue is his honesty, his candor, his judgment. If he lied about this key bit of his life (despite writing TWO books…surely he could have spared a page for this bit?) then he’ll lie about anything. That’s why it is a big deal.

        I don’t think he could’ve enrolled in local Indonesian schools had he not adopted Indonesian citizenship, via his adoption by his step-father. Foreigners have to attend ‘international schools’, local schools are for locals.

        Techdude’s theory about him lying to hide his adoption and Indonesian citizenship has merit.

    I got off my “duff” this morning and started the ball rolling to challenge Obama’s eligibility to be on the ballot in Colorado. The goal is not really to get him removed (unless we hit paydirt, of course), but rather to give him the option: produce a certified copy of the COLB to the Colorado Secretary of State of have your name removed from the ballot.

    I’ll keep you all informed.

    By the way, I would urge each of you to contact conservative local talk show hosts in your states to have their state Republican Party force Obama to produce a certified COLB to get on the ballot.
