I think that Harry Reid deserves to lose in November for his irresponsibly encouraging a very inexperienced Obama to run for President behind the scenes because he did not like Hillary as a candidate, he used the race card as a part of his decision, and he led a behind the scenes conspiracy where he and other Senators were publicly on the record as either being for Hillary or being neutral while they were trying to help Obama behind the scenes. I could also talk about his openly buying and selling votes along with mocking Democratic Senators like Blanche Lincoln who did not ask for anything in return for her health care vote!

I would really like to see the PUMA and Just Say No Deal movements come back to try and defeat Harry Reid which would send a very loud message to the Democratic leadership that they will get the same thing if they ever try to rig a Democratic Presidential primary behind the scenes again!

Harry Reid was insane to think that an inexperienced Obama could just walk in and seriously deal with Rush Limbaugh, FOX News, and Matt Drudge who are eating him up alive in the message war right now!

As an African American (AA) in my opinion Harry Reid did not insult Obama, he insulted all AA who are even slightly darker than Obama whether they speak more “white” than Obama. He named 2 critreria for Obama’s acceptability (1)”light skinned” with (2) no “negro dialect”. To all the flunky blacks who rushed to defend Reid they can kiss my backside. In essence he insulted 99.9% of all AA in America. Even though I was a lifetime democrat they will see a cold day in hell before I vote for any of them again.

would harry reid have apologized if he hadnt gotten caught? the remarks were at least 2 years old. then blago apologizes for his remarks sounding like he was scared to death of the chicago machine. i havent heard any apologies from bill clinton (good for him) and hope he never makes one. besides clintons remarks could certainly have meant that obama was too inexperienced for the job and he was right. notice how obama always turns to bill clinton when he’s in trouble? he needs big daddy to help him out. how pathetic after all the nasty things he said about the clintons .Bill should tell him to go F— himself.

I haven’t had time to read all the comments so I don’t know if I am repeating anything or not. I used to live in Nevada. I have huge respect for Harry Reid because of his immediate and effective attention to a problem I wrote a letter to him about several years ago. I was in college with a friend from India. Michael had come to the US because his life had been in danger in India because of a change of politics there. His father is a doctor there and Michael came here for safety. When I knew him, he was taking 9 semester hours in summer school with a 4.0 GPA. And he was working 40 hours a week as an accountant at night at one of the casinos. he had received a letter from Immegration that he was going to be deported. Michael was panic stricken because he only needed a little more time to graduate UNR. He had been in two of my classes and had been to my house to study for exams. When I learned of the problem, I wrote Senator Reid a letter to his office in washington, D. C. About four days later, I got a call from his Reno office asking me to come down there. The woman who worked in the office showed me a copy of my letter with the note written on it to find this young man and do everything we can to help him. I don’t know if Senator Reid wrote the note himself or not but Michael was contacted later that day and his problem went away. He graduated with “high distinction.”

So my experience with Harry Reid is that he has a lot of integrity and his office and staff were well organized and kind to me and to my friend. I am sure he is not perfect; however, he was an excellent Senator when I needed him and he ALWAYS responded to ALL my letters whether I had agreed with him or disagreed with him. I haven’t lived in Nevada for several years so I don’t know how anyone there could have anything but high regard for his honesty and integrity. Now, I live in Texas and I would give anything to have Senator Reid be my Senator.

I guess saying something like Biden did was more elegant…even though we as a people just cannot manage describing a Black person at all.

Example: I have a friend who annoys me by pointing out obese people every time someone who is very heavy walks by. UNLESS that person is Black. Then he says nothing even though it is clear that the person was seen by him.

I agree but not with “Bush II … had some management skills.” Two things randomnly worked in his favor. He married right. Laura who has excellent management skills was able to manage his medicines with tender loving care and good councelling sessions every night before going to bed. And Papa Bush showed him how to proxy. So the U.S. was saved. True, Bush II impersonated a good manager.

Obama is surrounded by frivolity so that’s what he impersonates.

At least like Bush II, Obama is learning on job. Today he did okay with the Haiti’s earthquake crisis. Lets see if it translate into good works.
