R.E.S.P.E.C.T. – Why Obama Can’t Give It and Why He Will Lose

At the Rules and ByLaws Mugging, uh, Meeting on May31st, Howard Dean, in a truly disgraceful effort to appease Hillary’s angry supporters finally acknowledged that there might have been a bit of sexism in the campaign. But, of course, he didn’t know about it because “he doesn’t watch cable TV.” Weeks after the contest was forcibly ended, some media types dipped a toe in the waters of sexism and copped to about 5% of the brutal treatment Hillary received.

Two months after Obama has claimed the nomination, far from abating, the clamor for Hillary to be nominated has gotten louder. PUMA has grown, for obvious reasons. One big problem: R.E.S.P.E.C.T. We can’t seem to get any. Never mind sastisfaction. We ain’t getting’ any of that either.

From Rosemary Regello’s excellent piece in the City Edition:

Try telling a disgruntled Clinton activist it’s futile to wage a campaign without a candidate, and she’ll ask you if it’s easier to let a knucklehead run the country…

[T]he New York senator is bound by her blackmail agreement with the Democratic National Committee to stump for her rival, a candidate who many of her supporters regard as corrupt and inexperienced…

Why did she give up? By June 3rd, the day of the last primaries, neither candidate had earned enough pledged delegates to claim the mantle of presumptive nominee. Moreover, when you consider the Democratic National Committee’s Alice in Wonderland approach to allocating delegates, you don’t find a nominating process at all, but rather grounds for a criminal conspiracy. Thousands of complaints filed after of a dozen red-state caucuses, ranging from voter intimidation to outright ballot stuffing, suggest that some of those contests were deliberately rigged to give Obama two-to-one margins of victory. Yet even without an investigation, a sixth-grade civics student already knows that plenty of mischief has gone on here. Whatever the official explanation as to why Obama “won” the election, it can never pass the straight-face test. Beginning last March, Clinton was hounded by the party establishment and its collaborators in the American media until she quit the race. That’s not an election. That’s a coup.

One might go so far as to suggest that all those high-ranking party officials involved should be charged with treason. For the first time in American history, the Democrats are about to crown a nominee who’s not only unfit to serve, but whose ties to foreign bad boys like Aiham Alsammarae, Nadhmi Auchi and Antoin Rezko make him a candidate for the no-fly list, not the presidency.

There’s also the matter of those superdelegates. This elite cast of elected leaders and party officials can’t vote until the convention, yet the DNC went ahead and declared Obama the winner based on their input. Even on the official website democrats.org, the Chosen One was being heralded as “the Democratic nominee” within hours of the last contest. In criminal justice parlance, this is what’s called perpetrating a fraud.

I couldn’t have said it better. Adding insult to grievous injury, the misogynist, partriarchal ‘what does she want’ attitude from the Boyz in the press has not abated either:

The nonsense most folks are fed in the mainstream media is enough to make steam come out of anybody’s ears. A case in point, Kenneth Walsh files this story: Despite Obama’s Efforts, Clinton Supporters Won’t Fade Away with U.S. News. Even the title is insulting. Fade Away? 18,000,000 people voted for Hillary, more than any primary candidate in history. Fade away? To where? Wait, don’t answer that. As for ‘Obama’s efforts’ — he has not reached out in any way. Remember when he told Rep. Diane Watson of the Congressional Black Caucus that Hillary’s supporters need to ‘get over it’?

[Clinton supporters] argue that she hasn’t been given the respect she deserves even though Obama has apparently agreed to give her a coveted primetime speaking slot August 26 and he has been quite conciliatory.

Wait! Stop the presses! That charlatan has AGREED to give her a COVETED prime time speaking spot! He deigns to be conciliatory? They are still treating Hillary like the scullery maid.

Obama and his surrogates impugned her character, misrepresented her policies and her record and got away with it daily in the media. Bill Clinton was called racist, they implied she was race baiting and let her supporters be called racists and now Obama is being conciliatory? Who wrote this story? Dick Cheney?

She is getting a COVETED PRIMETIME SPEAKING SPOT – WOW. Obama you are so GENEROUS! But wait! That’s not all…

On Sunday, he endorsed the seating of the full delegations from Florida and Michigan, which had violated party rules by holding their primaries too early. Party leaders had penalized them, but Obama is now asking that the penalties be lifted. Clinton won both contests, although neither she nor Obama campaigned actively in the two states.

NOW he is going to be generous enough to seat all the delegates. Isn’t that nice of him? Once they are seated the race would amount to a tie. I think they would be all of 59 pledged delegates apart. But he is going to be really generous and allow that Clinton woman to speak!!! It speaks!! Wow.

I’ll try to contain my glee at all the respect he has shown to her and her supporters. Hillary won almost every large state, all the battleground states, has the popular vote and the electoral map in her pocket. Never mind that she is actually a real leader and not a media creation. But he’s being really generous…

The media has to perpetuate this line of reasoning, otherwise they must admit complicity in selling this phony bills of goods to the public, forever losing what little credibility they have left. They, and the DNC, are still hoping the public won’t wake up and notice the fraud that Ms. Regello discusses and that many of us are still reeling from.

Here’s another quote from the article:

For their part, some Obama backers consider the hard-line Hillary supporters to be sore losers. “What usually happens is, if you lose, you go silent for a while,” says an Obama strategist. “But Hillary’s supporters haven’t gone silent. They’re still out there in the news.”

“They went negative on us (in the primaries),” he adds. “But we didn’t fight fire with fire. It could’ve been scorched earth, but that’s not where our guy is.”

Sore losers? WE went negative? Help me out here, ladies and gents. Do I even need to dignify that one with a response? That’s not where their guy is? No. Rather Obama reminds me of Bush. A snake oil salesman wrapped up in a good marketing package.

And this is the pièce de resistance:

Now, the Obama team’s patience is being tested again, Obama advisers say. One particular problem is Bill Clinton’s apparent reluctance to campaign publicly for Obama. The former president’s role at the convention remains unclear.

Gosh. That darned President Clinton is testing Obama’s patience! That darned really successful two-term President who presided over eight years of peace and prosperity in this country. Darn him!!! He’s really testing Obama’s patience. Join the club. The clueless candidate, lost at sea without his teleprompter, has been testing my patience for months.

But, according to CNN, all is not lost because…

…[F]ormer President Bill Clinton will have a speaking role at the Democratic Convention…

The sources say he will speak Wednesday night, the night of the vice presidential nominee’s speech. Barack Obama will officially become the presidential nominee the next night.

Candy Crowley also reports Obama and Bill Clinton spoke today.

Obama said Thursday that the controversy over whether the New York senator’s delegates would be able to vote for her at the Democratic convention was a media creation.

“There hasn’t been controversy other than what you guys are projecting right now,” he told reporters. Obama described conversations between the two campaigns over convention planning as “seamless.” “It has not been a problem,” he said.

Seamless, eh? I think not, baby puppy.

Asked later in the day whether he would be content if Clinton’s name were placed into nomination at the convention, Obama responded “I didn’t say that. I said they are working it out, guys.”

Oh. So I guess Obama is not so conciliatory after all.

If Obama really had respect for Hillary or Bill Clinton and was generous enough to put the interests of someone else besides himself first – you know, like the American people, he would show the respect to her and to her voters and ask for her name to be put into nomination. He would want the stronger candidate to drive us to victory – whoever that may be – and let the chips fall where they may. He would want everyone to be heard, knowing, as Hillary herself has stated, we would have a better chance then to be united as a party and win in November.

However, Senator Obama’s nature is to ride a wave of arrogance in order to cover up his fear, so true unity at the Convention, true respect for Hillary and her platform obviously will not happen. Not of Obama’s own volition, anyway. This does feel very much like a coup in the Party. If Obama, and indeed the elites at the DNC, were not running scared ever since the Texas and Ohio primaries, we would not be seeing this debacle now.

The very thing that keeps the Obama campaign insistent on continuing this pattern of exclusion and disrespect is the very thing that will destroy the Democratic Party. We are supposed to be the guys who count every vote. We are supposed to champion fair reflection. The more they refuse to acknowledge his “luck” in have the DNC riding shotgun for him at every turn, the more we dig in our heels, the greater our rage at this injustice.

Frankly this man is singularly unqualified and I don’t think I can support him under any circumstances. But a man who truly loved the idea of “America returning to its best traditions” might put his ego aside for just a moment and be courageous enough to truly let the delegates have a fair vote at the Convention. In answer to the question Ms. Reggello posed earlier, I think Hillary stepped aside because she put the Democratic agenda first.

It is ironic that Senator Obama’s personal flaws prevent him from doing the one thing in August that might give him even an outside chance in November.

I guess all the He’s in the constitution will need to be changed to she’s or he’s after the convention.lol

  • debbie

So you think that Clinton delegates are going to hold out for Hillary Clinton?

    Rather doubtful.

I have a good friend who is a Clinton delegate and she has NO intention of voting for Clinton on the roll call. As far as she’s concerned, this is done. Since she used to be the chair of our state party, she knows a lot of other delegates and she knows of NO Clinton delegates from our state who are voting for Clinton on the roll call and none of them are signing the petition either.

Frankly, it’s normal for the delegates to vote for the presumptive nominee at the convention. And that’s what you’ll see.

Sorry you didn’t understand the norms of modern convention politics before – but that’s how it’s done.

  • http://obamafact.blogspot.com/ Mel

Obama is fully qualified, his wife claims he can even save our souls, after all, Rev Wright saved Bambi’s, so what more can anyone want?

Under an Obama POTUS, our major export will be community organizing, won’t eveyone feel just peachy?

  • debbie

The delegates will be voting at the convention. There’s a roll call scheduled.

At the roll call, any delegate can vote for any candidate they wish?

So what the hell are you talking about?

  • Annagain

The SDs can vote their conscience, if they have any — but they should still be allowed to vote.

That is how conventions have always been done. There is no room for this continued disrespect.

  • debbie

All better now, Mel? I hope that you still don’t have to keep getting up all night to use the bathroom.

The speaking roles given to Hillary and Bill are a rather obvious attempt at trying to placate PUMAs that will not budge. As expected, the move is merely going to piss off people more.

Nobody cares about speaking roles. They want Hillary up for the nomination. That is the only acceptable outcome, as it has been since 1968 at all Democratic Conventions.

The US News piece is horsesh*t. Obama and his thugs not only went negative on Hillary, the astroturfers and ‘net goons went beserk against HRC supporters just as that farcical attempt by Accountability America or whatever is trying to do today. All that is is the ‘net good squad translated into the non-’net world. And, like the other efforts, it will both fail and piss people off into opposing Obama.

Hillary had better be up for nomination, or there will be hell to pay. Period. Obama’s or his team’s pathetic attempts at hubris are irrelevant. Whether or not anyone can stomach supporting this veteran of 143 days in the Senate and 20 years at Wright’s church is one thing. That can be tackled later. First, however, Hillary’s name has to be put into the full nomination process.

Brilliant post! I have never seen such a railroad job in my entire life. It is unbelievable!! The Democratic Party has lost so many of us, who were clinging to the hope that they would show guts. They haven’t, and now they give us Obama.

Let’s hope that The Atlantic leak is from the Clintons and has some effect….

(see http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com for details on this possible development next week….)

  • Annagain

Ultimately, we know the fix may be in at the Convention. No matter what trolls write here to try to derail the story, and no matter the outcome at the end of August — the fact is, enough people have seen or are seeing through Obarky and will never vote for him in November.

Gore lost by a fe hundred votes, Kerry by a 150,000 — there are at least several million PUMAs who will never vote for him.

Try that one on for size.

With every insulting “conciliatory” offer, I am more disgusted with these unconscious so-called Democrats. There’s no there there. Keep your cult, Freshman Senator. I will be voting for McCain.

I really hate the idea of either Clinton speaking at this fraudulent convention. They are in bad company. I’d like to see the Clinton Democrats move on past this coup d’etat and begin again without these corrupt cultists. If they get away with the theft of this primary, it only means their fall will come from greater heights. I believe that will happen with a rout by the Republicans and their total humiliation. Exactly what they deserve.

Sooner or later they will commit crimes that are punishable by the courts. Let’s hope they aren’t in office when that happens.

Of course they can vote for whoever they want. So can any other delegate. And that’s the system that’s in place right now. I don’t have any idea why you think the system isn’t in place because there are many, many articles saying that there will be a roll call.

  • debbie

Any delegate can vote for any candidate. The candidate doesn’t have to have her name placed in nomination to receive votes – never has had to and doesn’t now.

And having a name placed in nomination just requires two things — 300 delegates with no more than 50 from any one state and the signature of the candidate. Are those in place? If not, NO ONE, not Howard Dean or God herself can do anything about it.

I think Hillary will be demeaning herself if she actually campaigns for The One. Personally, I will have much more respect for her if on the campaign trail she does what she did her in article copied here a couple of days ago where she pointed out the excesses and corruption of government contracting etc under Bush. It will be the same under an Obama presidency unless everybody is made very aware and Obama is forced to PROMISE reforms everytime he opens his mouth.

I honestly believe that McCain will attempt reforms as President and that he will have no problem working with a reformed (ie minus the current leadership with Hillary leading the charge) Congress.

The Democrats right now stink worse than the Republicans ever have.

Stay clean Hillary. Measure your words.

Frankly, I don’t give a flying flip what happens at the convention, since it will surely be a sham. Even if a voice comes down from the heavens saying, “He is the One”, I will still only vote for either Hillary or McCain. They both understand that there is a lot more to being President than spouting a bunch of empty slogans.

Your point is flawed: No one is interested in who CAN vote for whom as mere footnote. We only care about Hillary having the ability to win the nomination, not token delegate votes. Save your wrists. Any attempts at trying to engage me on matters of logic or rhetoric — that is, trying to engage in simple sophistry or “Jedi Mind Tricks” — will leave you with bruised pride and humiliating defeat. I crush people like you, for fun.

As far as the petition goes: If you only knew. My advice to you is to stockpile the caffeine.

Your presence here confirms what we all know: You and your Joke Messiah are scared, and altitude is being lost by the minute.

We know. The GOP knows, too. What is being done to Ofraudma is a calculated encirclement. And it’s working brilliantly.

And that’s why you and the $7/hour crowd are here, to try to play Moses on high and diffuse the supposed rubes’ anger.

    Ha ha ha.

Good luck, Dick and Jane author. You will need it.

When you lose, don’t feel bad. Slowly taper off the Kool Aid and before you know it, the Presidency of McCain or Hillary will be ok with your temporarily reason-removed backing of Rezko’s protege.

We know the DNC leadership are a gutless, brainless bunch so the only way this plays out is for the people to vote them and BoBo to a big defeat in November.

Too many bribes and payoffs have been shelled out for the DNC to back off now. Backing off would be tantamount to admitting to all of their fraud.

If the delegates did that, what do you think would happen to all the volunteers and staff now set up for the Obama campaign? And could Clinton possibly organize a national campaign now? She couldn’t even do it for the nomination fight when she had a huge head start.

  • just me

shes a witch in obama clothing

  • jwrjr

    “debbie” is still overpaid.

  • debbie

No, I’m not writing about the Clinton administration. And I don’t care about Bill’s sex life. Pardons are far more interesting and those files are still to be publicly revealed. The National Archives is working with researchers right now on getting the files set up for review.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

Um, we’re still on her e-mail list, 18 million of us. We get e-mails all the time. One word and she’s got us when and where she needs us.

Obama and his bots have NO (ZERO) respect for women in general.

Obama tone and attitude toward women has been dismissive and rude. His bots have an identical attitude to his — nasty, rude and arrogant.

Back in the dark ages of the early 70s the liberal/anti war male had the same identical attitude. Many of the dumb young girls — giggled and thought their guys were so special. These guys were abusive bastards. (Not all males — but a significant percentage were chauvinist pig.)

Obama behavior is a throw back to that era — it is like I’ve somehow found a time machine and hit the wrong damned button and have emerged back in the 70s.

Obama’s body language, the words he uses and his voice are ALL dismissive and disrespectful towards women. I suspect that this is a hold over from his early years in Indonesia — where women are NOT respected. Women are held in contempt — and murder with impunity in many Islamic countries.

Fine — he can hate women all he wants — there is just no way that he can ever get a pass from me. My judgment will come on 4 November when I get MY vote against his blatant hatred of women.

So to all the hateful debbie — small letter female impersonators — your continued hateful posts will continue to remind us of Obama’s lack of respect for women. ALSO — Obama’s female staff members are underpaid compared to the males. McCain pays his female staffer fairly. McCain SHOWS respect where it counts — and Obama proves he disrespects women by the salaries he pays his female staffers.

Obama —- Don’t give meaningless speeches with meaningless words — SHOW WOMEN RESPECT. (That will NEVER happen.)

    PUMA

  • MrMike

So … The real demonstration will be in voting booths all across America this November. That’s when tens of thousands of real Democrats and patriots will just say “NO!”

  • debbie

Yep. I get those, too. They’re quite interesting.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

    That’s an INSULT…to Ann.

  • Annagain

By the way, on average McCain pays the women on his staff more than the men — this was covered in the MSM.

So who’s the progressive of the two?

  • debbie

Bought and paid for? My friend, the Clinton delegate who is a former party chair, has her own business and doesn’t need a thing from the party. She always votes for the presumptive nominee at the convention whether or not he was her first choice. That’s the norm for convention delegates for over 50 years.

  • just me

we really do not care about thefakeobama campaign…… What did u expect from the18 million Hillary supporters to do just fade away???

that sucks ugh when u know we areall here…

Suck it uo debbie baby we are not goining anywhere..

To be honest just as the o i could not give a sh** what happens to them all..

You talk out of the hole in your as*

  • MrMike

I really hate the idea of either Clinton speaking at this fraudulent convention.

The Clintons are loyal to the party even though it is infested with back stabbers like Dean, Pelosi, and Reid.
Let trollette Debbie spew, we get the last laugh.

  • debbie

That was debunked. The study didn’t use similar comparison groups, a major methodological flaw.

BTW, what do you folks think of the Edwards news?

  • no waffles aka drkate

that’s a good one. put up your evidence or STFU.

  • http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm Hillary’sSimplytheBest

Ya … right Deb … and you live in the 51st State… the state of delusion and denial.

  • no waffles aka drkate

    stop lying.

  • MrMike

If it had gone the other way (fat chance with the troika of treachery) would the Plastic Messiah been as graceful in defeat? I doubt it.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

Actually the canary in the coal mine will be Washington State, my state. Our election is August 19 and Gregoire barely won last time and only by 170 votes or such. If Rossi wins and our downticket dems lose…that will let the SD’s know just how badly they screwed up. Incumbants are supposed to have the advantage. I know how my husband and I voted (absentee ballet) and there are many Washingtonians here at NQ that voted against any Obama supporting dem. Obama may have caused the loss of a hard core blue state.

  • zooloo

Hillary did not hesitate to play right in to the DNC game plan right after the last primary.

    Hmmm……………..

    What is up with that?

Now, there is this game of back and forth where her delegates are fighting for her and she is is not?

I am a Clinton fan but I just do not get this at all

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

Ummm hmmmmm. When was the last time you got one dearie and what was it about?

  • Annagain

    I sincerely doubt that.

But the important point is this what has NOT been debunked and can never be debunked — Obama is an unqualified, dissembling, empty suit and he will lose in November.

He is sexist and a homophobe.

He has flip flopped on most of his campaign promises and is lost without his prompter.

He will throw anyone under the bus whenever it suits him. Arrogance 100%. Character 0%.

He is a disaster waiting to happen. Give it up.
There is no one to convince here.

We know the truth of this man and have for some time.

    Have a lovely weekend.

  • pew

Last I heard, we needed less than 100 signatures, and now with this Edwards affair, you can subtract 29 from that and we should not have a problem with 70 or less remaining.lol

  • MEchelle Hates America!

You already said this same stupid shit on the Pet Peeve Post.

And go check on the kids before their parents get back.

If thats true, show us your previous literary work?

Come on… we’re waiting… put up or SHUT UP!!

  • CB

Debbie Troll, Isn’t there an Obamaphilic blog missing
its cyber idiot tonight. Please go home. You have added
nothing to this thread. You are just reinforcing all that
has been my experience about Obamabots. Have yet
to meet one who is remotely interesting. Anyone who falls for the rerun of Hope+Change(TM) isn’t discerning. Did you ever wonder why Mass. voters went
for Hill big time, in spite of Teddy and Kerry? They already had their Hope+Change(TM) original, and he
    wasn’t qualified and reading a teleprompter doesn’t
qualify one to do the every day work of a governor (and
    certainly not a President).

Bu$h had more to offer than
Obama, but the country doesn’t need another arrogant, empty suit who needs to hire the expertise.

I don’t think Bu$h has the level of corruption behind
him that Obama has. Both are clueless. Both say they
are uniters not dividers, but Obama has divided his own party (or the party that he could advance in after knocking out Alice Palmer and all other opponents). The machine in Chicago is non-denominational, consisting of whoever can be bought, regardless of party.

  • jimbo

You’ve got a friend? Is your friend a stooge too?

  • MrMike

Pardon me dweebie ;) You want some interesting pardons check out the ones Bush the Smarter gave to the Iran-Contra crew.
I must really grate that warts and all Bill Clinton left office with a higher approval rating than Empty suit will ever hope to have. That’s if Patrick Fitzgerald lets him finish out his term.

  • no waffles aka drkate

and perhaps the memos will contain the information Obama’s ineligibility as POTUS. Bill wouldn’t have mentioned it unless he knew something.

ha ha troll. looks like your next book will be about how obama lost in a landslide.

  • just me

is that how Bill sneaked through as not the presumptive nominee at the convention???
Where do u get your info from???

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

It’s none of your fucking business, like Bill and Monica, it is a private matter. I’m sure you’d love it if we published all the gory details when your boyfriend nailed your bestfriend.

  • no waffles aka drkate

BFD. Is that all you’ve got?

  • MrMike

    You need more friends.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

Why am I not surprized. If you’re a Clinton supporter than I’m a tiny, petite delicate little thing…and I’m not. Hill is playing the game just like Mccain had to, to get his nod. Get it?

  • MrMike

I’m sure you’d love it if we published all the gory details when your boyfriend nailed your bestfriend.

You mean her best friend’s hamster and it didn’t notice anything. ;) No wonder debbie is so crabby.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

I’m simultaneously amused and grossed out…THANKS!

  • HARP

I donate all royalties to PUMA.

  • CB

Her lawyers are working behind the scenes, and I
heard her say that her name needs to be in nomination–as it has been for even minor candidates in the past. The fact the BO is so fragile does not bode well for the General. He’s torn apart the Dem Party and is about to find out that calling everyone racist has limited appeal.

What has he ever done for
blacks? This was a man raised in Hawaii by middle-class whites (his “typical white woman” grandmother was a bank VP in the 60s, which wasn’t so typical). He took advantage of affirmative action, which was awarded for having African genes on his father’s side. He didn’t grow up in a black community; his parents were educated; he was middle-class.

I’ve been trying to learn what, if anything, Obama did for the real Southside, people who are not living
in Hyde Park near the U. of Chicago. One politically
connected woman who is afraid to speak did say that Obama was in a position to do good, but he did
not. Obama didn’t miss out on the Rezkos of the district though. They lined each other’s pockets. If
the American public is so stupid as to fall for someone even less than Bu$h, this country is in real danger and deserves to tank.

  • http://www.ushistory.org/Declaration/document/index.htm Hillary’sSimplytheBest

I thought they said they had about 1600+ committed, some are signing in Denver.

I could be wrong… but I hope not.

  • pew

I also agree with you Rendell, and everyone turned against Clinton it seems all at one time. Rendell always had high respect for Clinton, and he said he thought they were sending the weaker candidate to be the nominee. Rendell had stuck up for Clinton, right up until the end…..Obama needs to step down,on his own,Clinton should not be any part of this…Or it would look like she pushed him out,,

If he’s going to leave,I’d rather have him do it on his own,

  • Brodie

I totally agree about feeling like I’m back in the 70′s w/those disrespectful dudes who acted like they were born to rule and were all so smart- NOT. I so don’t want to return to that kind of treatment, but things have already regressed so far I am feeling apprehensive. I won’t sit down, shut up, be polite or go along with that crap. I’m just too damn old & been through too much to put up with it.
And little debbie- piss off. Go away and take your nasty, smarmy comments with you. Don’t want to play with you anymore. Sorry you gotta go now- bye.

  • heather

Hamas brothers in GAza wrote the check for debbie. Good old debbie. Isn’t that just the kind of name a guy would pick if he was pretending to be a girl?

  • heather

“The Truth According to Debbie.” Obama was heard to opine yesterday that he has truth on his side, so he’s not concerned about offending anyone. That makes two of you then, debbie?

OMG, wait a minute. Maybe debbie IS Oba….

  • ritamary

Who would have imagined at this time last year we would now be debating who is more corrupt – Bush or the presumptuous Democratic nominee. The Democrats where I live were so very outraged about corrupt Republicans such as Duke Cunningham, but when the corrupt politicians have a (D) behind their names it is see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Example: My Democratic precinct coordinator (captain) says she has no idea who Tony Rezko is, never heard of him. This party deserves to go down in flames.

  • heather

    ROFL, waking up the neighbors!

  • YoNoObama

I’m in Washington State as well and I voted Republican all the way down ticket. When Gregoire’s campaign called me several weeks ago and asked me to contribute to her campaign again, my husband told them we were voting for the “other guy.” When the campaign worker asked why we told her because she endorsed ObooHoo.

Now, Debbie, sweetie don’t you have a manicure to get or something? After all politics and all of that serious stuff is ‘men’s work’, right sweetie? Go get your hair done and leave the real work to them, m’kay?

  • democracyfirst

I see the Obama disciples are out of their cages again. They’ve been quiet for awhile. Guess they have been waiting on new teleprompter scripts, like their leader.

The thing about Obama’s disciples is, they have nothing factual or intelligent to add to the conversation. They take after their leader. That is why Obama is so afraid to debate before the convention.

I don’t know if they are trying to convince themselves that what they are saying is true. That’s the only reason I can see for them being here. If they would speak the truth, their opinions would be respected. But they won’t even though they know the truth.

The truth is we are the silent majority and the silent majority always wins. There are millions more of us than they see on the blogs. Some are here watching and agreeing without commenting. Some use word of mouth for information. We are everywhere.

We are the silent majority from every state and every walk of life. We learned the truth in many different ways and express ourselves in many venues. We may not appear to communicate with each other but we will speak with one voice when it counts – in the GE.

It must seem like it would be easy to fracture our alliance because we are all different but the Obama disciples don’t understand.

We of the silent majority have much in common. We love America. We cherish freedom and democracy. We respect all people who are honest and respectful of us. We have self-respect and minds of our own. We abhor and will not abide anyone trying to take away our freedom, our rights, our country.

Obama and his disciples can disrespect, insult, ignore, and threaten us. It only strengthens our resolve to make sure a person with no integrity, no experience, no character, no compassion, and no business in the race for President, will ever be elected.

We are the silent majority at this time in history. They can pretend we don’t exist or don’t matter. That is their mistake.

The Obama camp has lost the silent majority and because of that, Obama has already lost the GE.

Them same things always bring them low; too much financial temptation in running a business, an inability to differentiate between Play Time and Work Time, nookie and/or dope.

They usually wind up leaving a chubby, once-attractive wife and some no-neck children to be comforted by the congregation of the church where they were deacons, while running off with the Town Slut to Atlanta or Myrtle Beach or Fort Lauderdale.

Oh, well if many, many articles say so, I guess that proves everything.

Because we all know that the “articles” have absolutely protected the sanctity of the vote, the idea that our votes, state for state, cannot be skewed or discounted or counted according to preconceived notion, without bias, without DNC manipulation.

Maybe you’re convinced of that, Debbie. But you won’t find many posters here that would agree with you. Remember the Rules Committe meeting on May 31st? I know it seems like a thousand years ago.

But for me and many others? It was a day of infamy.

  • athy

    Debbie…
Please ‘ask’ your friend the Clinton delegate why she joined the Democratic Party.

Ask her to explain to you what she views as her role in the campaign process…

Is she a rubber stamp or will she represent the interests of the voters and the preservation of the democratic process.

If she is a rubber stamp…please pass on this message to her from me…

“BAAHHH BYE”…to her future role as a delegate and to the chances of Sen Obama defeating Sen McCain in the Fall.

Ask her if she is comfortable supporting the DNC for the sake of ‘party unity’ when the following remains unresolved about Sen Obama:
We know very little about Sen Obama’s past because, with 90 days to go till election, he still has not released the following fairly routine documents for public inspection . For example:

1.Certified Copy of original Birth certificate. Certificate on his website proven to be a fake.
    2. Columbia College records (including admissions and financial aid/scholarship/student loan applications info if applicable)
    3. Columbia Thesis paper
    4. Certification of Live Birth (COLB)
    5. Harvard College records(including admissions and financial aid/scholarship/student loan application s info info if applicable)
    6. Illinois State Senate records
    7. Illinois State Senate schedule
    8. Law practice client list and billing records/summary
    9. Locations of all step-siblings and step-mothers
    10. Medical records
    11. Occidental College records (including admissions and financial aid/scholarship info if applicable)
    12. Parent’s Marriage Certificate
    13. Record of baptism
    14. Selective Service Registration
    15. Trips schedules for trips outside of the United States before 2007
    16. University of Chicago scholarly articles
    17. Campaign donor analysis requested by 7 major watchdog groups

    What makes Obama tick?

Check out this VERY INTERESTING article…including blogs posted to that article…

Yes, please let’s tear the Clintons apart. Bill Clinton in particular, the only consecutive, 2-term Democratic administration since FDR.

    Hummmm. Let’s see . . . 1945. Before my time. A long, long time.

So keep on keeping on that National Archive research

What was it that Hillary said?

“What didn’t you like: the peace or the prosperity?”

Guess the agenda just wasn’t far left enough. And peace, prosperity? Whew. What is that next to Blessedness????

    Excuse me while I gag.

  • TeakwoodKite

Here on Arrakis we Freman are concerned about the fact that BO doesn’t know spice from pounding sand.

Speaking of which where are BO’s medical records…I’d love to know what “gift” he got from Larry Sinclair.

  • Hope Floats

    Touche, Denise!

  • Peggy Sue

No, she’ll do it in 2012, after your candidate loses to McCain.

    NOBAMA, ever

  • Hope Floats

I don’t see how that would work against Clinton. It is a widely accepted fact that she ran a poor campaign. What is not often acknowledged was that there was media bias, sexism and Democratic party corruption. Based on what I’ve seen so far this year, an upset is extremely unlikely. But I didn’t pay attention to the last two elections and just take it for granted the Dems are always this inept and dysfunctional.

  • athy

    Cahil,

    I hope you are wrong…

If you are correct, we are going to see such a mass exodus of loyal lifelong democrats leaving the Democratic party.

And…if the DNC thinks that it will not have to worry about this exodus because the fresh new Democrats recruited to the party because of Sen Obama candidacy will more than offset the mass exodus- then the DNC should consider the possiblity that these new registered (Obama) voters will sway like leaves in the wind and will , in the next election, be manipulated by other parties and they will leave en masse from the Democratic party. What goes around comes around. The DNC failed to teach new voters how to evaluate candidate. The DNC merely taught new voters how to succumb to propaganda. The DNC will not be able to hold onto these voters in future elections. No substance…

  • Hope Floats

Ron Paul actually voted against the war, has been more consistent in his disapproval and cares about the Constitution. I have more respect for him than for Obama. Those newsletters freaked me out, but I think Obama’s church was as controversial and also indicative of a double standard among progressives.

  • Ani

Interesting. Had no idea feelings about this ran so strongly in WA state. Just shows you how the caucuses do not reflect the real picture.

    Thank you for posting.

  • Hope Floats

Speaking of staying clean, what about Obama’s medical records? I’m inclined to believe Larry Sinclair’s allegations that Obama has a few little self-destructive habits.

Well the “norm” of the Democratic Convention is to have a roll call, too. Something the DNC has wiggled-wobbled on.

So, obviously norms and past standards do not apply to “this” Convention. But then, why should they? Rules and standards have been dog-eared, loyal Dems have been totally discounted, and the backbone of the Party told to go away. Better yet, stay home.

    Not going to happen.

You reap what you sow, Debbie. You don’t like the howl from the opposition?

Obamatrons created it. Just ask Donna Brazilla. She’ll tell you all about it.

Like she cares. Deb’s a typical sourpuss rolex commie.

    CB, you said
“I’ve been trying to learn what, if anything, Obama did for the real Southside, people who are not living
in Hyde Park near the U. of Chicago”

    My response:

Sen Obama has not done much for real southside people…

The NAACP should be OUTRAGED at what Sen Obama has done to his own people.
James Baldwin -in “The Fire Next Time” writes a letter to his nephew James.(Page 7 1993 edition) in an effort to provide the young African American 15 year old boy with some insight as to what he will face …AND MUST FACE…as he grows up in our society.
“This innocent country set you down in a ghetto in which, in fact, it intended that you should perish.Let me spell out precisely what I mean by that, for the heart of the matter is here, and the root of my dispute with my country. You were born where you were born and faced the future that you faced because you were black and for no other reason”.

What would the honorable James Baldwin say if he were alive today and saw what Sen Obama did to his own people in District 13 in Chicago?

What do you think of Obama’s “urging” the citizens of Russia and Georgia to knock off the fighting.

    Makes me feel totally confident.

I’m sure your guy is happy he’s on vacation. You don’t get a vacation as POTUS.

    Surprise!

  • Hope Floats

The GOTV initiatives are better left to mailers and DVDs delivered by campaign volunteers.

Now is the time when politicians traditionally go negative. McCain is slightly behind in the polls (he is in a remarkable position), and Obama is trying to move toward the center. McCain is doing the right thing. The people with him are old hat.

  • s. hall

debbie — If this is a done deal as you call it — then what are you doing here everynight? You want to rub our noses in it? By doing so you show your true colors and make us all the more determined not to support Obama. You people are so arrogant and repulsive that you have lost millions of Democrats not just those of us who call ourselves PUMAs but Democrats who never heard the name PUMA have decided they cannot trust Obama to be the leader of this country. The will quietly vote for McCain this year — the problems are too serious to be left to an amateur.

Really. This guy is so clueless. He really thinks he can just go — stop it, you guys!!…and it will all be fine because ‘the One’ wills it so.

    He is so naive.

Truly I would feel sorry for him if he wasn’t so destructive. But after his horrible behavior and that of his campaign, there is no sympathy to give. My sympathy is for the American people, who would suffer if he were elected. But I don’t think there’s much chance of that.

His paid bloggers must know it, too, otherwise they wouldn’t spend so much time interfering here or trying to shut this site down — as has happened a number of times.

Threatening the Clintons’ reputation if he loses smacks of desperation, too. She is going to coming out of this smelling like a rose. She has grown in people’s esteem — voters on both sides of the aisle.

People don’t trust the media any more — they sense the fix is in and more and more are not buying. The only difference is, now instead of the Republicans thinking the Dems are putzes, more than half the party (or ex-party as the case may be) will think so, too.

I’m sure it must be frustrating for his supporters to realize we have reason on our side and cannot be swayed no matter what nonsense gets spewed here and at other sites.

  • Hope Floats

BRAVO! An old high school friend of mine made some of the meanest comments about the Clintons, thought Obama could do no wrong, but Edwards was her first choice. She hoped he’d be the VP. And my thought was, “God, that’s why you got knocked up at 19. Bad taste in men.” She always went for the “smooth-talking metrosexual.” The one living with her now is nine years younger, stole her son’s allergy medication and got arrested for impersonating a police officer and pulling over a young woman late one night.

  • s. hall

paul villareal — the only reason Obama wants to make nice is because he is going down in the polls. They have tried demeaning us — calling us names — laughing at us and now to placate they say they will let Bill and Hillary tell us why we should stand with Obama.

BO is a one trick pony. hopey/changey till we are blue in the face–we have seen his act and we are sick of him. This will not change and he can put on a circus full of celebrities and give us all $1,000 and it won’t make any difference.

  • s. hall

CB lifelong Dem here — The DNC committed the unpardonable sin of thinking the electorate is stupid and will fall for anything. Even when all the Democrats support a candidate he loses — this time it will be a landslide against Obama by Democrats and he thinks Republicans will cross over to vote for him — he is not only arrogant and immature but naive as well.

  • jbjd

Loved the article but, according to my calculations, FL and MI puts HRC up 2 committed delegates and 286,687 popular votes.

Before the return to status quo ante, that is, before reinstating FL and MI to pre-sanction status, total delegates pledged shows HRC has 1640; BO has 1763, a difference of 123. This includes from MI, 35 for HRC; 29 for BO. So, returning to status quo ante, add 35 for HRC; and subtract 29 for BO. This gives HRC 1675; and BO 1734. Then, add to HRC the 8 delegates the RBC took away from her to give to him, and which was included in his 29 total. This gives HRC 1683; BO 1734. In FL, HRC won 52, now 104; and BO won 39, now 78. So, add 52 to HRC, putting her current count at 1735; and add 39 to BO, putting him at 1733.

  • Peggy Sue

I mean that is the whole thing–reason and using our eyes and ears rather than blindly falling for this nonsense of razzle-dazzle.

I can’t tell you how disgusted I am with the MSM. Not simply with HRC’s campaign, but now with this serious, possibly catastrophic conflict between Russia and Georgia. The one station I was listening to had an eyewitness, on-the-ground reporter giving an overview of what was happening and they put him on hold to report . . . Edward’s statement about his infidelity.

    WTF!

Color me dumb, but what’s more important: the possible genesis of a world war or John Edward’s sex life?

We are in deep, deep trouble. An American Idol candidate and a press that can’t determine the merits between a world rocking event and a smarmy, up close and personal, humiliating storyline. Check your jockstraps at the door, please.

I’m glad I’m old enough to drink. It’s beyond depressing. It’s downright scary.

  • elise

I feel that same apprehension, Brodie. Like someone has given a fifteen year old a Ferrari for his birthday and tells him to have fun. It’s an impression he has never really had a thought of real policy and plans to delegate the responsibility to others while he plays President. He will be just as inacessable to the press as Bush was, refuse to be held accountable and sit in the Oval Office with his feet on the desk.

If so it will only be because young male zealots have more time on their hands than most women (and working men, too).

  • sayitisntso

Edwards is a fruitcake. If he had to do that, he should have had the intestinal fortitude to suck it up and keep silent. “Told her in 2006!” Yeah right! He’s still lying. Actually, both he and his wife are lying.

  • Annagain

a tie. so who won here?? There are different calculations offered everywhere so if she’s ahead — so much the better.

The likes of Brazile, Pelosi, Dean et al are still threatening her to shut up and sit down.

Debbie – the idea that democrats are actively targeting presidential
pardons of Bill Clinton is absurd. WHY?

Do you want to destroy the only successful Dem president in 1/2 a century?

Why now -if you have had 12 years?

What do you expect to find?

YOU brought this up so please answer .

  • pat johnston

By now msnbc can see how many of us that quit watching them and have boycoted them and any body sponsering them because they are way down in the polls. I will never go back to watching them or ever buying aNY G.E. products again. This is one thing women can and should do because we can maKE A DIFFERENCE.

  • jbjd

That’s the point. Now perhaps BO supporters, who previously criticized HRC supporters as being sore losers, will understand how close this race really was. And, now that BO is the one requesting the votes of MI and FL should be fully reinstated, they will stop ridiculing HRC for fighting for this outcome. Plus, those SD’s who switched to BO just because he appeared to be more than 150 pledged delegates ahead can now switch to HRC based on similar reasoning. Anyway, seeing this race as close as it is, despite constant calls for HRC to quit the race; despite BO’s constant attempts to proclaim himself the winner; and despite ridicule from the MSM predicting she hadn’t a chance now puts all of this in a different perspective. Certainly, if BO is entitled to have his name in nomination for winning fewer committed delegates then the candidate who can be said to have beaten him in shouldn’t have to “negotiate” with him to be in nomination, too.

  • doctorwang

Funny- on HuffPo, and Kos, the PUMAs seem to take offense when somebody asks them why they are there. It could be said that there is nothing there for them, and if they think they are convincing anyone that they are also stupid. If you wonder why there is any animosity towards Hillary and her supporters look no further then this thread. See the nasty responses given to Debbie who only stated that she didn’t believe that Clinton delegates are going to hold out for Hillary Clinton. Whatever happened to freedom of speech.
As Hillary would say: Shame on you!

I often wonder if Obama’s cloak of “liberalness” makes him feel that he cannot possibly be sexist in his dealings with others. I.e., is his behavior explained by psychology’s ‘reaction formation’ whereby a criminal type will take on a job that would suggest that he’d never be capable of this or that crime? I don’t recall any ‘conservative’ politician ever being more sexist towards Hillary that this guy.

  • MEchelle Hates America!

You see Debbie Does Dallas/Drwang/sfhillary claims Oblowme’s female staffers are “Hos” and the males are “Pimps” and “that everyone knows hos make less than pimps”.

Whereas, John McCain refers to all of his staff as employees and pays the women on average $6K more than the men.

Can you give a good reason why anyone would vote for this racist-anti american – know nothing?
He has nothing but contempt for America and her people including the fools that follow him.

And the same logic may apply to progressives in general.

When I watched Huffington Post, Daily Kos, and most of the other “progressive” blogs turn into sewers of misogyny, I realized the Democrats have a MAJOR misogyny problem.

  • PuppyDogMom

Debbie, I think this is exactly why BO has not been able to sway Clinton supporters, and he never will. If the delegates do this, the rift in the party will only get wider and deeper.

I HAVE A DREAM: HILLARY CLINTON for President, ELIZABETH EDWARDS for Vice-President – 2 strong, determined, brilliant women who put everything and everyone they love first – self-sacrificing and trustworthy. We need their leadership.

  • Tristan

I’ve been watching primaries and elections since the Reagan vs Carter election, when I was eight. In every primary season I’ve ever seen, the second and third place finishers lose support and eventually drop out after they’ve lost a string of primaries and its clear that they don’t have the support.

I have NEVER EVER seen a primary season where one candidate wins 6 out of the last 9 primaries, mostly by 10 and 20 point margins, and then goes to a party rules committee meeting in which delegates are taken away from her, and then she has to suspends her campaign.

And i have NEVER seen a primary season in which the loser of a primary gets an endorsement and a few superdelegates the next day to stop the momentum.

And I have NEVER seen a primary season where the candidate who gets the most total votes loses by hundreds of delegates, including superdelegates of states that voted the opposite of their state.

Obama didn’t win the nomination. He stole it. That’s why any “bone” that he throws Clinton isn’t sufficient. There’s nothing he or the DNC can do that would make this right except concede to her.

At that Rules and Bylaws committee meeting, they lost my vote – it automatically went to the opponent, even if the opponent is Pat Buchanan or David Duke or whatever. (And he’s not, i actually think McCain is about as good as a Republican gets.) And going forward, i will vote against and contribute money to the opponents of everyone involved in this charade until the Democratic party is actually democratic again.

  • helen

What has the unholy three and backtrack ever done for this country?
I keep hearing how Senator Clinton has to campaign for backtrack or the dnc will ruin her career.
This is like being held hostage by liliputins.

Veterans/Survivors of the quadriennial affliction, steeped in the antics leading up to the Democratic Convention are quite knowledgeable of the traditions of the process of nominating, ELECTING and celebrating each candidate. Beginning with the melodious “ALABAMA” it is a curtain call from the 50 act play, permitting applause for participation of “favorite Son/Daughter” candidates and their campaign workers, roll call braggadoccio footnoting the unique achievements as each state is spotlighted, preceeded by floor fights that are the required sugar and spice that can make nice.

Delegates can vote for Obama if they like but they also have to realize that their vote for him is a vote that will make McCain POTUS. If the democratic delegates are that myopic, then they simply like losing an election.

Try to remember that in spite of what Obama tells his followers, this nation is not run by the few. It might take a bit of time but in the end majority of people will vote against fools.

You know what else is weird about the typical white grandmother? She was married to a “loafer” in Obama’s words. She was VP at a bank. Her daughter the anthropologist worked in a bank. Obama claims she was a pioneer in the “micro-financing” that won a Nobel prize in 2006. She worked in a bank, too, and married an Indonesian oil executive. He disappeared. Obama’s father was no goat herder, and his paternal grandfather was no houseboy. He was a British operative up to God knows what. There’s a lengthy history of subversion in his family tree. What kind of typical white grandmother drags her daughter from Kansas to Texas to Oklahoma and finally Washington, because she heard there’s a great communist high school there at the height of the McCarthy witch hunts? What kind of barely 18 YO white girl marries a black man to avoid scandal in the 60′s? I will buy Obama’s version of events that they were sanctifying their love. Except, the father was already married, was likely abusive and certainly had a drinking problem. They met in a Russian language class. There is just too much government in the backgrounds. The real Obama story is likely very interesting.

They will work to shut that down and maintain their power. The Democratic party as it stands now is not for a return to the rule of law. They are already corrupt, and absolute power will corrupt even more.

Debbie: The point is not that Hillary Clinton delegates will “hold out” for Hillary. The point is that they get a roll call vote so that they can cast their first vote for Hillary Clinton, as has been done at every convention. This is the first time the “presumptive” nominee and the DNC is attempting to circumvent and deny that 1st roll call vote. It’s preposterous and it’s offensive for them to attempt to deny Democratic Party delegates the opportunity to cast a vote for the nominee they were selected to represent at the Convention, particularly since most of them would gladly cast a vote for Obama on subsequent roll-call votes. By denying the first roll call vote and not allowing Clinton to have her name placed in nomination for that vote, the Obama campaign and the DNC are assuring continuing rage on the part of Clinton supporters, and other Democrats who just don’t like what is happening and demand fairness and justice for our party.

Seems sort of pointless, mean-spirited, and futile to do it, if they want voters to cast a vote for Obama in November. But, if they really think they can win without a good portion of 18 Million Democrats, then they may have a big surprise coming to them on election day.

Oh, freedom of speech applies to you as well.

I mean, there’s no law that says you can’ be an idiot.

Also, yes, I’ve noticed that the PUMA movement is growing, from 316 people back in May to around 325 now. At this rate you might be able to swing the election by April of 2036.

  • Ash

Do you want her to have a roll call vote? She lost once, you really want her to lose again?

  • helen

I have been thinking this for awhile. They awoke the “sleeping giant”.
We cannot go back to the blissful ignorance of what goes on in this country.
What the PUMA party did was make us understand it is OUR JOB to keep the county safe.
We can never again let extremist of either party take control. It is not in the best interest of America.
If the new democratic party has to be taken down, so be it.
If the republican party has to be restructured so be it.
It is OUR COUNTRY let us take care of it.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

PUMAS, BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

I guarantee you that there’s a scandal on the horizon with our presumptive nominee regarding the same weakness and narcissism that Edwards claims led him down that path to an affair with Lisa Druck/aka Rielle Hunter.

Barack Obama is a narcissist; he needs sexual conquest and adulation. I’d be willing to bet Michelle Obama is all too aware of Barack’s weaknesses on that score; he’s flirtatious, as well as patronizing to women he’s trying to charm. In fact, he needs to be able to charm them.

He’s not a man who is sustained by the details of the work of public service; he’s not a policy wonk. He’s a dilettante; and he’ll be bored with the burdens of office all too soon, and will need attention, adulation, adoring fans to feed his ego needs.

Oh? Then who is this mystery delegate?

  • MEchelle Hates America!

Then why are you so worried Ashwipe?

  • MEchelle Hates America!

Ashwipe – you’re still Debbie Does Dumbass by another name.

I’m getting tired of this. There is no point in getting upset about this anymore. We all know this was planned from the beginning. Hillary was the x factor. They didn’t expect her to actually challenge him. PUMA is the x factor because they expected us to just vote for anybody they put in the slot. McCain is the x factor because he actually appeals to Democrats and Independents, not just Republicans.

You know what we should just let the Democrats crash and burn. I don’t care about this “party” anymore. They abandoned me in their aspirations of power, so f–k ‘em. Maybe after multiple failures they will understand how to NOT lose an election, and how to be Democrats again (not fake a** Republicans). But if they want to continue to shoot themselves in the foot, let ‘em.

How much do you get paid per post, Little Debbie?

  • street_parade

She’s tough enough to take it, just like all of the men who have had roll-call votes in the past and not won. What, you think she can’t handle it because she’s a woman?

  • Chicago Joe

Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign appears reluctant to have any sort of roll call vote at the Democratic convention this month. Why? They have no interest in highlighting the narrowness of his victory.

This would mean the first Democratic convention without a roll call vote since President Lyndon Johnson ran unopposed for reelection in 1964.

    R.E.S.P.E.C.T Comes in November!

    Ani,

Thanks for an insightful column that provides all the right reasons for Obama to rethink his strategy in August.

Your prophetic statement will become the “Haunting of the DNC Manor”:

“It is ironic that Sen. Obama’s personal flaws prevent him from doing the one thing in August that might give him even an outside chance in November”

Come November, the 18 million cracks on the DNC’s ceiling will shatter it exposing the only cure that will rid the Obamyopics of their dangerous affliction. They’ll have no option but to see the Light. Too late….

But maybe Hillary’s historic win (for that’s what it truly is!) will have gathered enough stormy seas to remove the vast winds of misogyny that now allow the media misogynist frat-boys to push a fraudulent candidate to an undemocratic ‘finish line’.

August 14, 2008 – Obviously … Obama checked with all the delegates behind the scenes to make sure they were still committed to him, before finally coming forward to appear magnanimous, by agreeing to allow a floor vote at the convention. Just another disingenuous P.R. move by Obama. If he had exhibited his commitment to democracy when it really counted, I’d be impressed … like when he could have supported a revote in Florida and Michigan … instead of blocking the effort. Obama is all about appearances. He will say, or do anything to win.
