NEARLY everyone in the Democratic Party seems to think that officially entering Hillary Clinton’s name into a roll-call vote for the presidential nomination at the Democratic National Convention would be a dangerous show of disunity. It’s true that having America watch as some portion of Mrs. Clinton’s 1,640 pledged delegates thumb their noses at Barack Obama would disrupt the party’s vision of a carefully scripted Denver love-in. But finding a constructive way for Mrs. Clinton’s seriously aggrieved loyalists to channel their anger and disappointment could wind up being the path of less destruction for Mr. Obama’s campaign. Plus, it’s the right thing to do.

I was with Proud Military Mom when Dean walked past us, I said ‘Good morning’ to Deval Patrick and I rode in the elevator with whatshisname Conyers. But for me, the highlight of the day was meeting Proud Military Mom.

I come to No Quarter to lurk, to read, and to try to learn from the rest of you. I was in awe of how knowledgeable and well-versed in all things political that PMM is. She represented us superbly!

PMM, I have never before heard anyone say the Pledge of Allegiance with as much pride and power as you do. The memory of that will stay with me always.

It was really great to meet the other No Quarterites, too. Lucy, I’m glad to have had the chance to continue the discussion on the ride home.

I left the meeting at the lunch break. I was completely offended every time that the committee members referred to Obama as the nominee. The convention to vote for and to choose the nominee isn’t until later this month, therefore, IMO, there should have be no mention or discussion of Obama being the nominee. Or, if they HAD to talk about him, they should have used the term ‘presumptive nominee.’

Now that I’ve had time to consider it, the refusal to even put amendments 93 and 102 to a vote can not even rightfully be connected to any “technicality.” It was well within Robert’s Rules (insofar as I am aware) to pose said amendments and put them to a vote. The challenge to even airing them and the subsequent unilateral acceptance of that challenge, thus preventing a vote, was nothing less than a sad demonstration of how democracy and democratic processes would crumble under an Obama administration. To wit, “we don’t like it, we’re not going to deal with it, it’s someone else’s problem if we acknowledge that it even exists at all.”

I had to leave after that. I’d had enough.

I was involved with the submission of the amendment regarding caucuses. we also submitted language to amend the healthcare plank to make sure there was no question, doubt or vagueness that the Dems will work to cover all Americans, 100%, every single one. That amendment was merged with another wonderful healthcare amendment and we hit a home run for Hillary and her supporters on that key issue.

We knew there would be push-back and the caucus proposal would be unlikely to pass this weekend. We wanted discussion and to start creating some momentum within the larger Democratic family to overhaul primaries.

This is why some of us are urging PUMAs to keep their Democratic voter registration. Hold your place in the party. Don’t automatically endorse Obama. However when you register Republican or publicly declare for McCain, you no longer have a voice in Democratic Party affairs.

I think this will be a tough fight. Many have built their whole careers within the Democratic Party through insider rules that make it easy for those in power to stay in power.

We can win and take control over our party again. Instead of becoming an Independent, run for your state committee. Running for City Hall, State Legislature or Congress is expensive and you really need to be an experienced pro to compete. State Committee Races are cheap, $1000-$5000 for the whole campaign depending on where you live. Also as few people pay attention a smart motivated person can turn out their supporters and easily win. READ THE RULES FOR YOUR STATE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. I stress it because if you know every rule inside and out, you will know how to win.

If we can take over state parties, we take the DNC. primaries change, insiders gaming elections change, sexism will no longer be tolerated.

If they had accepted the caucus amendment and did anything with it, that would have been admission of guilt that the process was flawed this time around. They would never agree to that. Caucus vs. primary may also be a state party issue. We all have to work with state party apparatus to change it in our respective states.

From what I heard and saw today, the DNC is clearly ready to coronate The One. For them, it’s a done deal.

There are no bedrock principles that are to be respected. They are all malleable according to their own interpretation and needs. That is the antithesis of principle. We saw that clearly at the RBC meeting, so it is no surprise that they would continue that behavior. It will be the same at the Convention.

Don’t believe for a minute that they will budge an inch on anything that gives the Clintons or their supporters any real power. They have taken over the party and the only real choice anyone has to get them out is to hand them their heads in a basket. Only a complete rout in this election will force them from their jobs. Soros & Co may still find figureheads to fill in the void left. The puppetmasters have an agenda to fulfill and they won’t go willingly. I agree 100%! New party now! The Democratic Party is no longer democratic – it is beyond repair. I can think of a few countries this party would feel at home in, but America isn’t one of them.

I am disappointed and outraged by the actions of the Democratic Party. If Hillary is not nominated at the convention I will vote all straight Republican in Nov. If the super delegates do not have the fortitude to remove the stranglehold the Obama Campaign have over them they will not get my vote. We recently returned from vacation in Monticello and I saw a quote there by Thomas Jefferson “I hold it, that a little rebellion, now and then, is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in the physical.” – Thomas Jeffeson, letter to James Madison. I want to know why she needs a petition of 300 DELEGATE signatures to get her name in nomination, along with a written request for same.

Previous elections have had many names on the roll call ballot, they got less than 50 votes in most cases, so they didn’t even HAVE 300 delegates to get petition signatures from. What in the world has the DNC become?!

I was honored to hiss, lol and I was not the only one, look I believe in my heart as long as your not standing up throwing bricks, a little hissing does not hurt, yes we are putting our selves out there, and yes we can come off as lose cannons or the crazy, and yes we want to look respectful in the sense we are there with Hillary shirts on and the like, but we have already been labeled as to quote one person “we are not dealing with reality” because we have not fall in line like happy lemmings, I myself am fed up with it all, I have people here who are so mandy pandy and wishy washy, this is whats wrong with are country, people here are afraid of there country or are detached from it all, we got propaganda in the media, and lethargic people who have the attention span of a slugs, unlike other country’s where if they where getting served up the garbage we get here they would have been in the streets, now as for someone I care about, an organizer here who I dearly love and have respect for her, some call her mother duck, I always told her I don’t like being in front of a camera, I don’t mind making a comment in a news paper, camera no way, she went out of her way to try to keep me getting interviewed in the press, also chastised a few others to keep me in line, I was offended for awhile, but over it, and just let it go, there are more important things I need to be doing and I rather put my energies to something more positive, I am a strong women, actually we worked long and hard together, been on the road together, we where planning for some time about Denver, I believe I am on my own there, well not actually we should have a nice little group here going, but it all justifies the means, the DNC knows we are here and not going away, besides what I have seen that the ones with the true grit tends to be the only ones who step up to the plate, and that is the point, if we could get 500 thousand in Denver, I believe they would think allot harder of what they are doing, we only had 2000 in DC, I still have faith, ore work to do, and I serve no more use I believe for the organizer I mention so I probably will not hear from her, no bother more work to do for Hillary and to reform the Democratic Party, as my favorite quote goes no self respecting woman would wish or work for a party that ignores her self…
