Obama’s Impending Pearl Harbor

After a very productive time (working, not playing) in Hawaii, I believe that the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor is an apt metaphor for what awaits Barack Obama if he becomes the Democrat’s official nominee. Michelle’s “whitey” tape and the controversy over his birth certificate are the least of his concerns. Opponents of Obama and some proponents of McCain have acquired information that will rapidly erase any memory of the audacity and perfidy of John Edwards.

The “surprise” attack by the Japanese should not have caught the US fleet at Pearl Harbor unawares. There were advanced warnings that people in key positions ignored or shrugged off as unimportant. Well, guess what boys and girls? Similar warnings are now in the hands of the Democratic leadership and they are choosing to ignore the flashing red lights that signal danger ahead.

Just today, courtesy of the Rocky Mountain News, we confirmed that Barack aka Barry Soetoro Obama was a citizen of Kenya since 1963. Barack has yet to stipulate when he renounced or relinquished that citizenship. That will be a distracting issue in the upcoming campaign. Americans don’t want to elect a Kenyan as President. It is that simple.

But then there is the Indonesian problem and his Hawaiian birth certificate.

I confirmed today that several teams/individuals visited Jakarta during the last six months to gather up critical documents regarding Barack. It is amazing what money can buy. The information includes details of how Barack made his way to Pakistan. Oh! Did I mention there have been similar efforts underway in Pakistan. There are several lessons and warnings in the John Edwards affair for Obama. First and foremost, you cannot hide your past.

Did I also mention how small Hawaii is? Republican operatives, with help from their own island backers, have unearthed critical information on Obama and are just biding their time until after the convention to drop it on him. Such as? Having a birth certificate that lists you as Barry Soetoro.

Barack aka Barry Soetoro might have escaped scrutiny back in 1960 when there was no internet. Controlling information back then was so much easier. Not today. It is there for the taking and the Democrats foolishly chose to trust this clown just as they trusted John Edwards.

Who would have thought that John Edwards and his wife would be so arrogant and so disconnected with reality that they would embark on a presidential campaign even though they knew about his affair and the crazy nature of his paramour. Well, that kind of audacity and bamboozlement is not limited to the Edwards family. Meet the Obamas. You don’t know them? Don’t worry, Republican operatives are loaded for bear and you are going to meet a Barack Obama that was hidden and disguised during the Democratic primary. And when the introduction is over the Obama supporters will wish the only thing they had to worry about was a video with Michelle saying disparaging things about caucasians.

Dems. You’ve been warned. Don’t be surprised when the attacks come.

They would not let her on return flight to Hawaii due to late term pregnancy restrictions to avoid an in-flight birth. She had the baby in Kenya. Then boarded plane with stop over in Seattle (no direct flight back then). While in Seattle she dropped in on her high school friend Karen. She departed Seattle, flew to Hawaii and AMERICANIZED the name Barack on Kenyan birth certificate to BARRY on U.S. certificate. When Barry was 5 year old, BO mother married ANOTHER Non-U.S. citizen Lolo Soetoro-Indonecian. Soetoro ADOPTED Barry who became Barry Soetoro. They moved tIndonecia and Barry Soetoro was enrolled in 2 schools (1 Catholic/1 Muslim). Registration papers at bothe schools say Barry Soetoro, Indonecian citazen, and a Muslim. Left Indonicia 1971 for Hawaii where he attended one school until graduation. Barry Soretoro decided at 19 years of age to call himself after his Kenyan father Barrack Obama Jr. The name on his Kenyan birth certificate. Obama Sr was a Kenyan Non-US citizen Muslim on a college grant when he met Stanley Ann Dunham (Obama Jr. Mother) (her dad wanted a boy-hence that name) Obama is an Indonesian and Kenyan citizen. There is a lawsuit filed on Obama eligibility filed Aug 08.

            Can you prove this? I wish those documents were in the public domain. The day BEFORE the election the govenor of Hawaii personally certified Obama’s birth certificate after months of requests, lawsuits, ETC. Interesting that what is normally done by a clerk has to be done by a governor, and then she locks it up from public viewing. It must be a valid birth certificate, one above question, right? Right. I assure all of you, that YOUR birth certifcate is in public domain.

          The bots are correct: at least until 2007 Kenya has never alowed dual citizenship. Any child born of a Kenyan father is considered a citizen of Kenya.

          Here’s what the botbrains can’t process. According to Kenyans obama is a Kenyan NOT an American.

          There being NO record that obama has ever renounced his Kenyan citizenship – HE IS A KENYAN CITIZENSHIP which leaves his AMERERICAN
          citizenship in question altogether!

          And, if indeed, the Soertoro COLB has been exposed (as above) he traveled to live in Indonesia as an INDONESIAN CITIZEN as well.

            Who cares what Kenya thinks? He’s running here. Here you can have dual citizenship. But if Kenya forbids it, that doesn’t mean he can’t be an American citizen. Just means he can’t be a Kenyan citizen. Which means he can’t be a dual citizen.

      I imagine Hillary will have to become VP choice so when Barack implodes and steps down (pretty please), we have the viable candidate.

      The thing is – the Republicans know this could becomes the scenario if Clinton becomes VP candidate, therefore they have to do everything they can to make sure this doesn’t happen. Is this the reason for 200 Clinton campaign memos?

        The big problems is that no matter what , this dooms the Democrats in ’08— even if we nominated Hillary for President now, how do we convince a majority of Americans that the party that ignored Obama’s past and tried like hell to deliver this phony it’s nomination can be trusted to lead?

        I think the Democrats have already disqualified ourselves for 2008 and maybe beyond. Witnessing the Obama Phenomenon, I’d say my party has a lot of growing up to do and is not ready to accept responsibility this year.

              This has become bigger than this election in this sense….Dems may be doomed for at least a generation ( Reagan anyone ? ) This could be as much about preventing a republican 12 more years extension and if Clinton can prevent that even if she cannot take the WH….I’m up for that…..The Party needs to be purged of these Corrupt Leaders and Obama has to be stopped because he is a fascist…imho
              Truth is in a democracy we need a balance of a minimum of 2 parties
              But I’d be OK with a third Centrist party….

Even the timing of the John Edwards problem and the fact that it seemed like a set up, makes you wonder what other thing was behind it. It keeps Obama from having to offer Edwards anything, keeps Edwards from having any influence over Democratic Policy and even keeps him from speaking at the Convention.

        Hillary won’t be the nominee this time ’round, OK? There’s simply no way that the Democratic leadership will split the party 10 weeks before an election. Barry is still running ahead in the polls, albeit barely. The superdelegates will swallow hard and take their chances with Obama in November rather than permanently alienate one of their key constituencies, namely black Americans. If Obama were to be denied the nomination at this late stage, no matter how good the reason might be, 90% of black Americans would regard it as just another instance of whitey screwing them over. There’s no way they would turn out in significant numbers to vote for Hillary, which would doom her chances against McCain. The same applies to college students, who are strongly for Obama right now.

        Nope, you’re stuck with Barry, I’m afraid. So, vote for McCain this year and then for Hillary in 2012.

      Larry if his BC says soetaro, that would mean he acquired that Hawaii certificate years after he was born–after his mother married Soetaro and soetaro adopted him. After the fact. Then are you saying that he really wasn’t born in Hawaii? Or is this because of the name change/adoption? When people are adopted do they get a new birth certificate? I know when people marry, their last name changes but their original birth certificate doesn’t. So this is all odd to me. Why would somebody get another birth certificate that negates the orginal birth status. Vital statistics don’t change like that. Ok, I’m rambling but this is odd for sure.

      I also remember reading that his brother Mark in China was the “only” child of Barack Obama Senior who was not “contested” in the estate. So I am wondering, what exactly does this certficate tell us with respect to this?

          According to Kenyan law, Barry would have lost his citizenship at age 21 if he didn’t do something affirmative for it.

          Because Obama sr was British subject, then Kenyan, he could have been conferred citizenship by birth there too–hence dual citizenship at birth. I have heard the republicans have a Kenyan BC…which would raise questions about his place of birth.

          The original sealed Hawaii BC is under the name of BHO; that’s going to indicate a lot of things, like where he was born, hospital, etc.

          Kenya will become the focus…but it is a distraction. the indonesian stuff is the smoking gun.

Doesn’t mean Sr. wasn’t his father (though very unlikely he and Stanley were married. Friend said she and young baby visited him at Harvard – indicates “daddy’ was not at birth – was long gone.

          Point is that Barry went to Indonesia as adopted son of Soetoro- that means he entered that country as an INDONESIAN CITIZEN – another citizenship he has never renounced!

          No wonder he calls himself a “Citizen of the World” – seems quite literaly true.Whether legal to be President with multiple citizenships – Americans would NOT want a President with hidden loyalties elsewhere- if only all this REALLY GOES PUBLIC!

        Usually, they seal the old birth certificate, at least that is what my adopted friend has told me. It still exists in the files, only no one is allowed to have it. Go figure!

        The certificate with the original parents’ names gets hidden away, and a new one is issued with the names of the brand new parent or parents.

        Obama, to be Obama again, had to go get a name change–unless there’s some way to “undo” an adoption…and that’s news to me (not that I am an expert on the subject, mind you).

          I used to issue birth certs in upstate NY and we if the child is adopted, we would “seal” the original….gluing the new one over the old. But no matter what the original should be in the city, town, Provence the child was born. So if he was not born in Hawaii there should not be one on record there.

          Well anybody can change their last name. It’s not all that hard. That wouldn’t mean another BC is issued. There is a legal paper that provides proof of original last name and the new last name.

          Also, as for adoptions, it would depend on the State. Some states are Open Adoption states (i.e. Kansas) so the records are always there.

          As for name changes, that should always be in public records.

            Personal question–I have an adopted child, in other words, I’m an adoptive parent, and reside in KS…what do you mean the adoption is OPEN? My name is on the birth certificate. Just curious.

          Isn’t it true that the adopted child when he becomes 18(?) may unseal his adoption papers in some states.
          Mo came out recently saying that Stanley Ann was single when she had BO. On another blog that was explained: Because of the way that the law was written at the time, BO would be a citizen if his mother was single at the time of his birth. Not so if she was married to a Kenyan and only 18 yrs. old at the time.
          It was also explained that BO’s mother worked for the the consultate in Indonesia and that she could have filed citizenship papers for BO as having been born out of the country to an American citizen, like she did for Maya.(I may be forgetting exactly how this came down but this is something of the gist of the argument.)

          In Australian an adopted Child can apply to the court to have the adoption cancelled on various grounds, ie to inherit the estate of the birth parents, incompatibility with the adoptive parents, reconcilliation with the birth parents etc.

        The situation is confusing. Only an order of probate court can change a birth certificate: adoption, name change, sex change etc.. the original on file doesn’t change. But the abstracts issued by the goverment will show only the latest court ordered changes. There is a theory that Obama Sr. made that trip to Hawaii when Barky returned from Indonesia to claim paternity, undo the adoption, whatever. To make things even more confusing is Hawaii’s very lax policy regarding late registrations of births. I assume because home births with midwives were still common, or to allow native citizens giving birth on the mainland to register their children since recording ancestory to the Kingdom of Hawaii is very important culturally. You could see how someone could easily take advantage of the laxed system. Why Barky’s sister Maya has “two” birthdays is clearer since Texas Darling explained the late registration system.

        I was adopted at birth. Upon adoption my original birth certificate (which has different first name and has my birth mother’s last name) was sealed and a new certificate was issued with the first and last name my adoptive parents gave me. Neither my parents or I have ever seen or had access to the sealed birth certificate.I only know about that because I met my birth mom in my mid twenties.

        When you adopt in America, the birth parent or previous parent has to relinquish or otherwise forfeit all parenting rights. I was adopted in 1967.
        Back then unplanned pregnancies and adoption under any circumstance had a stigma. Most adopted parents in 1961 passed off their adopted children as their own. Many adoption agencies and homes for unwed mothers encouraged and helped both adoptive parents and birth moms to hide the pregnancy and adoption so they can get on with life after. Also there were strict disclosure laws in the 60′s about keeping a birth parent’s identity anonymous even if the child would later want to find them. Many birth parents remarry and have children but have never told their new family they gave a child up.

        BO’s original birth certificate would have been rightly sealed at birth even though the circumstances were different than mine.

        When mother got beck to Hawaii she AMERICANIZED his first name to Barry.

          That seems logical to me, given the timing of his acquiring of Kenyan citizenship, as stated in the article.

          Did not Kenya free itself from the Empire in 1963?

          I would wager that Kenyan law states that the father passes citizenship to the child, and so it remains, unless and until the child renounces.

      I think these are legitimate issues, and someone ought to unearth them since the DNC has shown zero interest. The real time for this was at the start of the primary. I think it’s a shame on the DNC this guy has gotten this far, with his cast of characters and background.

      And I think, for the institution’s sake, you all should keep on the pressure and try to keep him from the nomination. He is out of his league with Carter and Nixon, much less our many decent presidents.

        I have a little problem with the Republican timing. (Besides that it is bad for Hillary’s chances.) If the sky starts to fall on Obama, after he is the nominee, it will ruin the Democratic Party. If Hillary has a chance to step in, some face can be saved.
        For a Republican, it doesn’t sound too bad. For the country however is very bad. The Democratic party has to be reformed, not eliminated. It is a very bad idea to have a one party system, even if in name only there is an other party. Trust me, it can not bring any good.

          I am a Republican (although I did vote for Clinton in 1996 and Gore in 2000) and a long-time John McCain fan. I also think Bush has done a very good job in the GWOT and, albeit after a very bad first 3 1/2 years, in Iraq. But he has totally wrecked the federal budget, done virtually nothing to wean us off of foreign oil, catered to the far right wing of his party on nearly every occasion, and has one of the lowest approval ratings of any president in history.

          Seriously, if you guys can’t win in THIS environment, when will you EVER win???

          The answer is that you’ll win when you finally figure out that nomiating moderate southererners is a winning strategy (Truman, LBJ, Carter, Clinton) whereas nominating northern liberals (Stevenson, Humphrey, McGovern, Mondale, Dukakis, Kerry, and now Obama) is not. The only outliers here are JFK (won as a northerner, though by today’s standards he certainly wouldn’t be considered a liberal) and Al Gore (southerner who lost while running as a moderate although, as time has subsequently shown, was actually quite liberal).

          I’ve been thinking, not always a good thing to do on less than a pot of coffee, but here goes. Maybe a DEM drenching in Nov because of Obama is what the party needs to get back to its roots. Obama and all the party leadership, loosly speaking, have shown a hubris to match the RNC under Bush/Cheney. I firmly believe that when John Kerry, or Howard Dean hand picked Obama to be the 2004 conv. keynote speaker they were priming him for the future POTUS, they just didn’t think it would be 2008 (cuz they thought Kerry would win). The selection began in 2004. I grant that HRC’s campaign got off to a very bad start and was mismanaged by Penn and Doyle, but the popular vote and the delegate count was close enough to require a convention vote. By Pelosi and Dean pushing/arm twisting the SDs to come out in favor of Obama to ensure that THEIR candidate was the nominee was the height of arrogance not to mention studidity. They need a drubbing in Nov as much as the RNC needed one in 2006 in order to get it that the electorate is mad as hell and doesn’t want to take it anymore. I hope that (barring them coming to their senses) McCain wins. I do not want to see another four years of mismanagment of this country and that is what we will get with Obama and a Dem congress.           While I generally agree with you, I have to disagree with you on this one point. There is a powerful group of folks pulling the strings this cycle at the DNC–and they have masterminded several strategies.

          Think Michigan. The Dems in leadership managed to take Michigan out of the nominating process and are seen as merely bungling because they moved up the primaries(and I would explain further if you like). The actions of the Dems in power (and the Dem Governor) effectively silenced the voices of the Hillary supporters here.

          The same Michigan Dems are behing a secret initiative to control all three branches of government for decades to come. They formed a petition signed by 1/2 million people to have the bill to ‘reduce government’ on the ballot this year. The bill/petition was so craftily worded, I signed it myself (so you can imagine how the votes would go once on the ballot).

          A document was recently uncovered on the UAW website that exposed the DNC’s plan for Michigan control and why. (The power point is available on some of the local newspapers in Michigan and you may find it very interesting.) The bill would eliminate some of the conservative justices who were appointed some years ago by a Republican governor–the MI Supreme court is not beholden to the left and apparently that balance is a problem for the far left. (Just look at how the Michigan Dems have been beholden to the presiding, indicted, Dem. Mayor of Detroit. If you think Chicago-style politics are dirty, you haven’t seen anything yet.)

          I’m trying to be brief here but you really should take another look at the current DNC in power–it is very organized, strategic and crafty. It just happens to be the far left of the wing running the show and the unwitting middle of the party is completely unaware.

          Your Indonesian angle is the right stuff, I think. The legal position vis a vis Indonesia’s citizenship rules is the clincher. For Barry to have stayed there during the time he was there, he had to be a Citizen of Indonesia and a Muslim by Indonesian adoption law. This is where the hook really lies. Indonesia would have required that Barry’s U.S. Citizenship be revoked in order to give citizenship to Barry as the adopted Soetero son.
          The documents previously shown here on NQ indicate this. Research was awesome on this.

      I have one more paranoid theory niggling at my mind. The papers that said his mother was a light-skinned Kenyan(I think it was Kenyan) added to the fact that Stanley Ann supposedly went to Kenya and then returned within a short period of time in her ninth month of pregnancy has me wondering. I believe it would have been impossible for her to get any airline to let her fly at that stage of pregnancy. So, what if she was not pregnant at all? What if her new found love needed her to bring a child back to this country from Kenya? What if she went and picked up the baby, then flew back to Washington, stopping by to visit her friend. Her friend said she didn’t know how to change a diaper. Then she stayed in Seattle for a while taking classes at the college before going back to Hawaii.
      That’s as far as I have gone with it and it won’t matter since the Indonesia part of it will disqualify him. This whole thing just has more questions than answers. LOL I just can’t quit guessing, I will be glad when the Reps give us all the answers.

    You know everybody, there should be about 18 million lawsuits lodged against the DNC with Dean, Pelosi, Brazille, Reid and all the other people that fixed this election. I know that during the primaries, my husband and I gave small amounts of money to Hillary’s campaign and since then my husband lost one of the two jobs he had. Those small amounts added up. We could use that money now. We are struggling as I know alot of Hillary’s supporters are. Some of the people who donated to her were jobless and suffering from cancer and yet donated to what they felt was a fair fight. If sue banks, tobacoo industries, insurance industries, etc., why not collectively sue the damn crooked DNC and it’s fraudulent cronies. Oh and BTW don’t forget the ONE and puppetmaster Assholerod.

      I’m australian and my son was born and raised in New York. I obtained an Australian passport for him by right of paternity, but he has never traveled on it and regards himself as 100% American.

He accepted Edwards endorsement after the WV primary, which Hillary won by a large margin, and all the news from msn was about the endorsement, not Hillary’s win.         Democracyfirst, your comment gave me something to think about. What happens if Hillary is not the VP nominee and Obama is found to be ineligible? Does that mean the VP nominee becomes the nominee for president with a new VP chosen? Would they have a new convention? Can you imagine the DNC choosing someone other than the person who has received more popular votes than any primary candidate in history? The Republicans would win in a landslide. I am really so angry. I stopped watching MSNBC and CNN months ago and started watching FOX (I used to walk out to the room if my husband watched it), but I have felt for a while they have been tiptoeing around Obama, just nibbling at the edges on the issues. But they have been all over the Edwards story for two weeks while everyone else was, apparently, ignoring it and some “progressive” blogs defending him. I believe Edwards is still lying. I was still watching CNN when Edwards withdrew and they were saying he would probably be nominated by Obama as AG. I don’t make moral judgements about the sex lives of anyone, but the question is the same one I have about Obama. How vulnerable would he have been to blackmail or extortion if he had become AG? What is wrong with them?

          The problem becomes the filing deadline to get on the ballot in the 50 states. Filing deadlines in some states for candidates for POTUS and VP from major parties nominating at convention is, 24 hours after the convention.

              Each state has a different time frame but some require filing for the ballot, 24 hours after nomination. And some have challenge limits up to 3 days after ballot nominations papers are filed. So, you have to look up the law in each state you want to launch the challenge.

Depending on my tips each week, I sent $50 or $100 every week for months on end, right up until she “conceded”, and for 2 weeks after. Then I started getting email from Barack Obama’s campaign, and I knew there was no way they would have MY email address, or be bugging me for money, unless HILLARY had made an agreement to give over all her fund-raising info. I totally understand this, especially if he agreed to help her
      retire her campaign debt (and little fricking help did he give her!)

      I would LOVE to help her more, but now I have doubts where the money goes, and I would rather sever my own arm with a butter knife than contribute

        Hillary did not let them have HER database of supporters and her site contributions still go to her.

        You must have been on the DNC list to receive ob mail.

        Hillary did ask for contributions to ob, but she linked to a different donation site which was set up for him. The regular Hillary donation site goes entirely to eliminating her debt.

        I too gave what I could afford and feel as if the DNC had planned all along to railroad the sham and give him the “uncommitted” votes and allow him to get away with voter fraud by groups such as ACORN and Moveon. That they permitted it and hijacked the election for ob and they were complicit in undermining Hillary every step of the way, it isn’t far-fetched we could submit a class action suit against the DNC and demand them to repay our Hillary donations to us. She acted in good-faith and did what she said she would do. The DNC and Ob camp are the guilty parties and should be sued for theft.

    Just today, courtesy of the Rocky Mountain News, we confirmed that Barack aka Barry Soetoro Obama was a citizen of Kenya since 1963. Barack has yet to stipulate when he renounced or relinquished that citizenship.

    Because he himself never did renounce it or relinquish it. He didn’t have to.

    This all traces back to a Political Gateway article by Andy Martin way back in February of 2007 (yes, that’s February 2007, not 2008).

    It begins with the following breathless announcement:


    ANNOUNCEMENT OF BLOCKBUSTER CHICAGO NEWS CONFERENCE DISCLOSING THAT UNDER KENYAN CONSTITUTIONAL LAW, BARACK OBAMA IS A KENYAN CITIZEN

    He goes on to say:

    Under the Independence Constitution of Kenya, Obama became a Kenyan citizen on December 12, 1963. He has never renounced his Kenyan citizenship.

    If this so-called “journalist” hadn’t been so lazy and actually done the work of any decent journalist, he would have bothered to read the rest of the Kenyan Constitution.

    If he had, he would have found this (from Chapter VI, Section 97, Clause 1 concerning dual citizenship):

    A person who, upon the attainment of the age of twenty-one years, is a citizen of Kenya and also a citizen of some country other than Kenya shall, subject to subsection (7), cease to be a citizen of Kenya upon the specified date unless he has renounced his citizenship of that other country, taken the oath of allegiance and, in the case of a person who was born outside Kenya. made and registered such declaration of his intentions concerning residence as may be prescribed by or under an Act of Parliament.

    In other words, Obama didn’t have to renounce anything!

    Unless he’d renounced his US citizenship, taken an oath of allegiance to Kenya, and further taken up residence in Kenya, whatever Kenya citizenship he may have had ceased to exist automatically when he turned 21.

    That will be a distracting issue in the upcoming campaign. Americans don’t want to elect a Kenyan as President. It is that simple.

    Then perhaps the Obama campaign can hire TexasDarlin’s own Judah Benjamin to help them dispel that myth:

    He was not required under Kenyan Law to make any Formal Renunciation and any statements to the contrary previously made by myself, or other persons, such as Andy Martin, are wrong according to the Kenyan Constitution. –Judah Benjamin

          even if he is not disqualified on the basis of ever having held two citizenships, it is fact that in order to be a natural born citizen under the law during the time he was born one parent would have had to have been a citizen and have lived within the US for 10 years prior to his birth with 5 of those years being after the age of 16. She was at most 20 years old when Obama was born which leaves him only a naturalized citizen. Therefore ineligible.

I guess I am thinking if a candidate died or had been found guilty of murder or something, of course you are not still going to run them just because they are an official nominee!!! That is just stupid and there must be a remedy for that possibilty, isn’t there???? If he could not be replaced after a certain date, why nto just cancel the election and let the other guy win by default.

      Yes. The Constitution does not say anything to that effect, but I agree that a US president shouldn’t, because he would owe allegiance to two countries. Would it not be a conflict of interests?

            Instead of answering your question, let me put this in a more proper perspective and then see if you can answer your own question.

            You’re born in the United States. And by every letter and intent of Article II, there’s absolutely no reason or question that you would not someday qualify to hold the office of President of the United States.

            In every sense you can say that this is your birthright.

            Everything’s just fine until you’re two years old. At that point in time, some third-world shithole gains its independence after having been a British colony. And they draft a constitution that says you are now a citizen of that country simply because your father was a citizen of that country.

            And just like that you have dual citizenship, and as others would argue, this should disqualify you or anyone else from holding the office of President of the United States.

            Think about that. Some other country has just taken away your birthright.

            So instead of asking whether having held dual citizenship in a situation like this should disqualify one from holding the office of President, ask yourself if some other country should be able to rob you of your birthright.

            Forget about Obama. If this is to disqualify Obama, it would also have to disqualify anyone else. Maybe even someone you’d actually want to see be elected President.

            So do you think some other country should be able to rob you of your birthright because of a piece of paper?

            I don’t think so.

              What you think or feel about his eligibility is unimportant. The issue needs to be decided by independent Constitutional Law scholars. How do you “se” he didn’t renew his Kenyan citizenship by applying for a Kenyan passport? Or that any direct action was taken by Kenya to remove his citizenship? No one is trying to steal his birth right, but decisions made by his parents could have done so leaving him no option as an adult. There are other questions also, re. any legal name change. He was adopted so, according to Hawaii State Law, his original birth certificate was sealed and that isn’t due to any decision he made either, but it doesn’t change the fact that he would have had to have his name legally changed back to Obama. He just needs to answer some questions. Did he ever travel on a Kenyan or Indonesian passport after the age of twenty one and did he have his name legally changed. Then Con. Law experts can make a decision, unless you are an expert. But given your bias, that might not be enough for everyone and could cost him the election is there were lingering doubts. If he doesn’t come clean, he is toast. If the Republicans have this information, they will certainly use it and it won’t matter how many times you (or he) says distraction, silliness or DC politics.

              Doesn’t work that way. If you have two parents, both U. S. citizens, there is no question of citizenship, not native born, problem. You have one parent (mother or father) born in a foreign country who claims you as a citizen of their country and one parent born in the U. S. and the U.S. claims you as a citizen; ergo dual citizenship.

              When American women marry foreigners and move to their husband’s country, their rights as a U. S. citizen are not always recognized since women are second class citizens and subject to their husband’s control. And if you think that isn’t true, I suggest you do a search for the number of women who have lost custody of their children in foreign countries. There is even a movie “Not Without My Daughter” based on the true story of a U.S. citizen’s escape with her dual citizenship daughter.

              And no one robbed Obama of his “birthright” unless it was his mother when she married a Kenyan. His father’s nationality is equal to his mother’s nationality where citizenship is concerned. Your statement sounds like you think other countries can not determine citizenship based on their own laws regarding their own citizens. This isn’t a “piece of paper” designed to “rob” anyone; it’s international laws designed to protect the children of parents of all nations.

              And seeing it only in terms of how Obama is effected is rather narrow minded.

        If your line of work requires you to have a security clearance for accessing classified US government information, you may very possibly find that actively acquiring or retaining a foreign citizenship may cause you to be refused clearance (or may cause a clearance you already have to be revoked). If this might affect you, you would be well advised to consult with a knowledgeable lawyer planning to seek a political office in the US — especially in the federal government — it is extremely possible that having a second citizenship may be a serious liability

    I Don’t think so. Here are the Constitutional criteria under Article II section 1:

    “No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.”

      You are right. I just researched it – no mention of dual citizenship. Apparently it is allowed as long as the person is a natural born citizen of the U.S.

      That being said, I think a lot of people would not be comfortable voting for someone whose allegiance may be questionable. In Obama’s case, some people are already questioning his devotion to this country.

        Has Article ll ever had to be defined in terms of eligibility? I’m not sure dual or multiple citizenship has ever been addressed or the intended definition of Natural Citizen as it relates to an American president. There are only three questions ever raised as far as I was able to find:

        1)Al Gore was born in the District of Columbia
        2)Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona before it became a state.
        3)John McCain born on a US Naval base in the Canal Zone.

        There was never a court case involving any of those three, but surely, this is a little more complicated since none of the three ever held citizenship in another country or had a parent not at US Citizen. Did he have a Kenyan or Indonesian passport? The presidency is unique in it’s qualifications. There is no other office with that requirement. At the very least, it would be a serious challenge.

          Even assuming BO at one time satisfied both requirements for POTUS, that is, both natural born and, a citizen; once he was adopted by an Indonesian national, he became a citizen of Indonesia. When it comes to determining status of a person who can be said to have dual nationality, U.S. law defers to the law of the foreign sovereign. Thus, whether BO, having been adopted by an Indonesian, can be said to be a U.S. citizen and thus eligible to become POTUS under the constitution, is determined, under U.S. law, whether such a result is allowed under the law of Indonesia. And, it isn’t; Indonesia does not recognize dual citizenship.

      Yes. the natural born criteria has been proven to NOT have been met just by Obama’s mother’s age at the time of his birth and according to the laws governing citizenship in force before the 1980′s.

    Much as I deplore John Edwards – his situation isn’t in the same league as Barack (Barry Soetoro)Hussein Obama – totally different. Lincoln had a mistress and treated his wife abominably. Many of these politicions no matter Dem or Repub have lousy records when it comes to marital fidelity. They and their paramours get their comeuppance in the end.

    However Barack etc is a whole different kettle of fish and the DNC for not vetting him to begin with should be prosecuted.

    Frankly, it shouldn’t be up to one party to vet a candidate for the Presidency. It should be a legal matter in conjunction with the FEDS AND CIA that anybody in the running for an office that will give them all secrets in connection with the safety and well being of these United States of America be totally vetted in a firm and full way.

    This man, Barack etc. has so many associates in his background, and currently, that are at odds with the security of this country – it is a disgrace that he has not been vetted properly and completely by now.

    All responsible parties should be held to high account for not having a complete vetting of this and any man/woman running for POTUS before any General Election and in fact before primary voting is completed.

    I believe it should be an offence and a prosecutable one for all concerned who have enabled an unvetted and suspect person to actually run for the highest position in America.

    That’s all I have to say….

      When you have people awarding delegates on how people would have voted had Obama kept his name on the ballot you’ve wandered into the twilight zone.

      He took his name off the MI ballot. Hillary didn’t make him do that.

      He kept his name on the FL ballot and still lost.

      There’s no one driving this bus and I think it’s in the ditch.

    What if in only one state this was challenged and won. That is to say what if it were challenged in Texas and won so as to eliminate Obama from the ballot in Texas, would that be enough to gain national attention and disqualify him in all other states?

      If this wasn’t such a sick circumstance, thinking the problem through would be a great legal exercise. Here’s what I think, off the top of my head.

      While procedures for challenge differ in each state, generally, the initial challenge is filed with an executive agency, for example, the S of S or Commissioner of Elections. There would be a hearing. Adverse rulings eventually would reach a state court and, perhaps onto federal appeals court. (Remember the 2000 election? That reached the U.S. Supreme Court.) Or, instead of going into state court, someone would go into federal court to certify the ‘class’ of people challenging BO’s eligibility get onto the ballot in the several states; and the federal court would hear the challenges.

    The papers for challenging Obama’s eligibility should be in the process of being drawn up as we speak. Still there is no real talk of coming out and doing it.

    I read that proof needs to be submitted along with the challenge. What level of proof?

    To me it seems like his mother not having resided in the US for 5 years after the age 16 before his birth is enough proof. Can we come up with a generic challenge along with the necessary proof and post it for PUMA’s in each state to use to challenge his eligibilty?

      Still, think about it.     I think the big points here that’s missing from the dialogue is first, the CORPORATIONS are running/ruining Washinton DC. Too many congress critters are indebted to them. Both Hillary and McCain want to rein in the corporate reins and corrupt influence as centrists.

    Nader wants to amend the part of our constitution that states a corporation as a person and sever their rights as if they were a citizen.

    The Corporations are killing us softly-in the pocketbook, stealing us blinds, the drug companies are killing us with bad drugs and medical expenses that most of us can not afford.

    The politicians are playing the games people play.

    Both parties are so much alike now it’s beyond funny.
    Obama is just not POTUS quality.

    How we vote depends on what part of this is most important to us, barring foolish party loyalties.

    I have just finished reading three books, “Obama Nation”, “Obama: The Face Behind the Mask” and “The Case Against Barack Obama-The unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media’s Favorite Candidate”. and.. MY HEART WEEPS.

    The Democratic party has annointed a man just as despicable, with full knowledge of his political roots, calling him a progressive reformer. Well, my friends, this man is a spawn, from day one,of the most corrupt Chicago Political Machine in our country and represents everything the informed voter should despise in a politician. I won’t go into the massive detail that is out there because there are many who choose to be deaf, dumb and blind, choose to remain ignorant, and will accept no criticism of their :”Messiah”.

    I would suggest, however, that anyone who casts a vote for Obama without having read at least one of these books can, and should, be held responsible for the possibility of another four years of THE SAME CULTURE OF CORRUPTION (or worse).

    I called the SC Secretary of State about these BC suspicions, to find out who was responsible for investigating the background and legitimacy of a Presidential candidate for SC voters. I was told the State Election Commission was responsible.

    So I talked to the State Election Commission office and was told they accept the candidate given to them from the DNC as being legitimate, having already been properly investigated by the DNC itself.

    If this is true, the DNC is gonna look horrible for not telling the voters the whole truth about Obama, BEFORE the Primary. The voters deserve to know the full background, especially when it involves allegiance to a foreign country, as Obama’s does.

    It is criminal for the DNC to purposely withold this vital info from the voting public.

    Let’s suppose the media actually covers anything to do with Obama (after the apathy towards Edwards, my doubt is greater) What recourse does the party have if a candidate is completely destroyed, is the party able to substitute someone else?     People think that Barfy had his records sealed at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard to not show marks, but is that true?

    Barfy was a less than average student in HS and Occidental College is a highly competative college requiring good grades for entrance. But like many schools, Occidental has certain quotas like international students.

    We all know how Barfy plays the system for his own gain, so are his records sealed because he used a Kenyan or Indonesian citizenship to gain entrance?

    Barfy expects people to believe he is the salvation for Washington, someone who has lived his political career as the lowest form, with lobbyist money, Rezko and Auchi money supporting him. And do not forget his voting record, many of which he voted present on to avoid political stances, yet uses the excuse that some of the wording in his opinion on legislation wasn’t correct or that parts of a Bill he did not agree with, yet on the Cheney/Bush oil company give away, Barfy’s standards of not voting because certain parts of the Bill he did not agree with failed, since he voted for the Bill!

    Barfy might be a Black man, but he is still just a man and a corrupt and useless pathological lying one at that, no racist meaning behind it, because if there was, then that is like comparing Barfy t every Black American as being pathological liars and useless corrupt people, so take your pick, Barfy the person or the entire Black American population?

    What I have learned about myself through all this is “Country before Party.” As a lifelong Democrat, I didn’t really realize that before.

    I just wish I had better options besides not voting for Obama.

    I was also thinking Hillary needed to accept the VP position to be ready to step in when BO self destructs. The problem is he will not offer it unless he is desperate because when he is in the same room with her he looks like a pretender punk. I hate to see her as VP because I want to see a female president and obviously the way dems need to deal with their problem of philandering male candidates is by only nominating females candidates for awhile. Still any male seeking the presidency would take the VP place and that is probably what Hillary will have to do.

    I’ve been reading “Culture Warrior” by Bill O’Reilly (yes, like many of us here, I never thought I’d pay a penny to read the trash of an arch conservative, but …).

    While O’Reilly holds some truly repellent views, this book is truly PRESCIENT. Written in 2006 (before Nancy Pelosi was Speaker or Barack Obama announced his candidacy), this book:

    1. Calls out the following as particular ‘evil’ representatives of what O’Reilly calls the ‘secular-progressive’ movement. Recognize any of these names from the coup also known as the Democratic primaries?

    Nancy Pelosi
    Bill Moyers
    George Lakoff
    Michael Moore
    CNN
    MSNBC

    2. Has a chapter on African-Americans and how they are NOT aligned with the secular-progressive movement but more aligned with Bill O’Reilly’s “‘traditionalist’ philosophy.

    Imagine the glee when people from ‘group 1′ above realized they could run a candidate from ‘group 2′ and forge what Donna Brazile calls the “new coalition” thus allowing them to dump traditional Democrats.

    3. Makes fun of all the ‘s-p’ people who have refused to come on his show because they can’t engage in a simple 1:1 debate, or, once on his show, have refused to engage him but just repeated some mantra over and over.

    Remember Hillary’s stunning performance in her interview with O’Reilly? And how she was vilified by the dailykoolaid crowd for going on? And how much O’Reilly obviously respected her?

    It’s amazing that all this was basically laid out by O’Reilly well before any of it happened. Scarey, too, to think some like O’Reilly might actually have a clue about what is going on.

      Haven’t read any of Bill O’Reilly’s books, but I’ve been watching him every night since April and I’ve been very surprised. Yes, he does get nasty once in awhile, and also lets his anger run away with him once in awhile, but he has not lived up to the reputation created for him by Keith Olbermann. (I used to watch Olbermann every night but abandoned him, MSNBC, NBC, and CNN in April). O’Reilly’s interview with Hillary was delightful. It was more like a spirited debate and he did not try to block her from being herself. At times, it looked like she had tamed the beast, but I suspect there was a bit of acting on both sides. I was proud of her. The interview was a gem and I could see why Hillary has the capacity to reach out to people who are not in agreement with her. O’Reilly’s recent statement that we were going to be finding out more about Obama very soon is something to be taken seriously. In the meantime, all I can say to Barry/Barrack is: Don’t be a blooter!

    The floating-exchange rate international monetary system is kaput, totally. The U.S. dollar is about one millimeter from the brink. We could bring it back from the brink and get breathing space by raising the prime rate to 4%; up there with the European Union and the Burr-Pound people who shelter the unregulated hedge funds in the unregulated Cayman Islands and elsewhere.

He was (much much to cautiously for my taste) letting them in on his previous two year’s work, with others (as if they didn’t know already!) regarding proposals to reform the world’s financial-monetary system back towards what FDR had intended. I like to think Bill has gotten wiser, as many of us tend to do if we allow our ideas to develop.

    We must expand our thinking as well, or we are going to leave the children of the world living in a hell literally beyond our worst imaginings. The afore-mentioned haughty limp-dicks can’t win this chess-match; all they have is to kick the chessboard in a tantrum fit. The chessboard is our planet and all we hold dear.

    If we can’t see beyond Howard the duck and Donna the Damned, we are but the most coarse-minded of the rabble, being entertained as beasts as a great Shakespearean tragedy is played through.

FDR prevailed – unfortunately, Hillary did not (yet.) I’ve always had the greatest admiration for FDR, but now, it’s infinite. And then JFK, RFK and MLK – all eliminated because of the Anglo-Dutch imperial financial system? Wow.

    Since early June I have had this mental picture of B-52s with GOP written on their sides being carefully loaded with media ads about Senator Obama…his work…his opinion(s) of the issues…his past…his associations and acquaintances…a few have already been sent out across the country, but many more are patiently waiting until the DNC convention has made the Senator the official nominee.

    I hope that Senator Clinton will not be on the ticket as Vice-President; when those ads hit over the next two months anyone associated with Nominee Obama will be political mincemeat by Election Day.

    From what I have read, an individual cannot be a dual citizen of the US and Kenya or of the US and Indonesia. Is it possible that Obama’s mother renounced Obama’s US citizenship which would negate his Hawaiian birth certificate?

    Are rules for a child different? Can a child choose at the age of majority?

    Why did the newspaper in Kenya announce “Kenya born Obama democratic nominee?” Where did they get their info?

    Was his sister actually born in the US or did the grandparents file for her COLB? What are Indonesia’s requirements to attend school in that country? Must you be a citizen? Is the important document the adoption certificate by Lolo Soetoro?
    Just wondering……..

    I also have one more question. Stanley Ann Dunham was born in Kansas. What was her status while she lived in Indonesia? Did she retain her US citizenship? Did she only come and visit the US after her marriage to Lolo Soetoro? I mean if you had a copy of a person’s US birth certificate and they renounced their citizenship and the original birth certificate was declared void, you still could present the void birth certificate if no one was really looking and asking questions. Just an idea… I know something is wrong somewhere as it just doesn’t make sense to try to pawn off a fake birth certificate if you have a valid one.

    When Barack Hussein Obama Jr. was adopted by his step-father, Indonesian Lolo Soetoro (or maybe it was Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo, which would look even worse on an American campaign button), he automatically became an Indonesian citizen. That is Indonesian law (or it was in the 1960s, when the event occurred). Obama’s name was then changed to Barry Soetoro, the name which appeared on his elementary school records in Indonesia. Those school records list his religion as Islam and his citizenship as Indonesian.

    Somewhere along the line, Barry Soetoro decided to go back to the name Barack Hussein Obama. If he did so legally, he hasn’t coughed up the records to show when or where. And we all know he switched from Islam to Christianity (at least on the surface) in order to further his political career.

    Somewhere along the line, Barry Soetoro may have decided to denounce his Indonesian citizenship and swear an oath of allegiance to the United States. Then again, maybe he never did. In any event, a citizen of Indonesia cannot legally serve as President of the United States, nor can someone with dual citizenship, regardless of whether he was born in the United States.

    When Obama visited Pakistan in 1981, did he use an American or an Indonesian passport?

    Obama’s mother lived in at least 13 different countries, so it may be hard to pin down exactly where Obama was born if he won’t cough up the evidence. Nevertheless, documents to prove the real story exist somewhere, and one would think that either a Republican or a Clinton-Democrat could find those documents. But if Hillary had them, why would she not have used them already? If she shows up at he convention with them in hand ion a few weeks, she’s certain to alienate more black voters than had they been disclosed months ago.

    Obama/Soetoro and several other Democrat Senators sponsored Senate Resolution 511, which purportedly was intended to recognize that Senator McCain is a natural born citizen eligible to hold the office of President. But because it is clear McCain is eligible to hold the office, there was no reason to introduce the resolution. If Senator McCain did not need the resolution, why did Obama introduce it? Was it because it included language that might help him if it was discovered he was were born outside the United States or that he still held Indonesian citizenship? Where are the media reports on SR 511?

    All this can be cleared up if Obama/Soetoro releases the documents. That he hasn’t suggests he is hiding something.

    Granted, the Obama followers think this is all nonsense intended to try and keep their anointed one from making it to the White House because only “dirty tricks” and shenanigans can do it; McCain can’t win (they think) based on issues alone. Frankly, I’d rather McCain win by a landslide based on the issues, even if Obama is hiding the truth and can’t legally serve. But I’ll also be happy if Obama is exposed the day after his convention is over. The dems will then even wish they had nominated John “Breck Girl” Edwards.

    We shall see…

    The Republican strategy for when they will expose Obama is easy to understand.  They want Obama to be the nominee; then they’ll trot out all that “information” so the republican nominee will surely win.  

    If they expose it before the nomination, Obama might choose not to run and they will be facing Hillary Clinton.  Then they will have the same dilemma as in 2008.  They still do not want to have to face Hillary Clinton.

    Granting that Obama was born in Hawaii and was a natural born American, when he was legally adopted by Mr. Soetero, he also acquired Indonesian citizenship.  He must have travelled to Indonesia on an Indonesian passport which his adopted father could apply for at the Indonesian Consulate.  At that time, it was the law that one automatically loses American citizenship as soon as you acquire another country’s citizenship.  

    At the time he travelled to Pakistan, he must have used his Indonesian passport since at that time, travel of American citizens to Pakistan was prohibited.

    So many questions, so very little facts in the open.

He is in trouble in Ohio, Pa, Fl count the electoral votes in those states. He chose the winning strategy for the primary and it will cost him the GE. Hillary chose to go after swing states because she is seasoned enough to know those are the states where the election is won. What she didn’t count on was money buying SDs and the stupidity of the DNC.

    The intent of the Declaration and the Constitution focus on obedience to the will of the people. The Legal precedent for our nation’s existence is based on the fact that “We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights…” the abridgment of which allows any people to legally tell their oppressors to beat it.
    “Outorganizing, stealing votes and intimidation do not comport themselves with the principles that created our country.
    You, and many, many more Americans desperately need to read and understand what the guys who made this country had in mind.
    And even more importantly, quit being so temporally bigoted against the wisdom of better political minds than Barry will ever imagine himself to be.
