Now the Obama justice department is worried over of all things… college football. They want to change college football. They don’t know whether the bcs bowls violate anti-trust. The arrogance of these people is over the top. But as I recall, Obama doesn’t like the current system. So, the justice department is going to “change” it for him. See a pattern?

TOTUS is a prop. I don’t think he needs it to speak, but he needs it to validate the rhythmic head motion. I am starting to believe I am right on the stage hypnotist theory.

I actually prefer the Obama white house and the Dems in Congress to get all wee-wee’d up over the BCS.  Imagine how this can be used as a “Nero fiddled while Rome burned” attack ad by the Repubs in the next election cycle. There is a huge male and female college educated voting block that takes BCS way too seriously, more so than any pro sport, and wouldn’t want some busy body meddling in our rec time congressman messling with the formula.

Why is he fighting with the Republicans, and if he is, why is everyone praising him for it? So he can make people think Republicans have been obstructing his “agenda” and make people forget he has a supermajority in Congress. As Mary Landreau said, there are three different healthcare bills floating around Congress. In the SOTU address, Obama implored Dems not to give up the “fight” for healthcare reform, and to pass a bill asap. He didn’t say which of the three bills they should pass. He’s good at making himself look busy when he’s not doing much at all.

I’m really down on this Khalik Sheik Muhammad civil trial.  Obama wants a high profile trial and execution of KSM — assuming he’s not acquitted — because Obama wants some ‘tough on terror’ publicity.
But Eric Holder’s publicity stunt will martyr KSM in the Muslim World.  The guy let himself be captured – didn’t have the guts to martyr himself.  So why is Eric Holder so eager to martyr KSM?  I say hang the guy quietly and dump him in a ditch.
I’m very suspicious.  Holder says he didn’t get the order from Obama to martyr KSM.  So who gave him the order — Al-Zawahiri?

Yes, poor TOTUS.  The embarrassment of SOTU on the heels of the humiliation of proping up The Dear Reader in elementary school.  Just too much.  He hasn’t been seen or heard from since giving a heads up about the SOTU speech.  Gotta bless ‘em.  Rarely gets a day off.

The O vs the Repubs:  from what I read, he really let them have it, in front of God and everybody and C-Span.   And they let him?  He turned their venue into a one-man show.
They’d better spin that one quickly, because so far, it’s the O’s show.  You never get on stage  with a kid or a dog: Show Biz 101.

BO said the hc debate WAS ON C-Span. Who knew?

People laughed at Shawn Hannity for keeping cameras on the double doors closing out the public.  Committee meeting were on cspan.  The bill was crafted in conference rooms and the only people recorded entering those rooms, other than democrat members, were insurance representatives.  Obama admitted that in his visit to the gop retreat yesterday.  It was not only ugly it is vomit on our face.  Taste it.

When I got out of BART at the Embarcadero there was a black democrat dude that is running against Pelosi who had a table set up and a bunch of people handing out his campaign material. Seemed like a nice enough guy, so I wished him good luck.

Yes, as the Jon Stewart video makes clear, the Democrats are really, really clueless–blame Bush, blame the Repubs.  That’s all they know.  The Rebuplicans and Bush deserve a lot of blame.  But, the Dems, especially, the DNC deserve more blame for winning and then not having any really clear ideas to be put in place by a real leader.

I always go back to thinking, “If only we had Hillary.”

I heard that comment, too, sowsear.  And Pelosi’s attitude is part of the problem–we’re going to get our way and the hell with you. 

I also listened to Olympia Snowe who said the problem was putting a time limit on the finished legislation.  She said there are many things in this bill that are good, but that every change and tweak has ramifications and all those details have to be considered and worked through.  You just can’t rush it and expect the program to work or provide the reform that the public expects and deserves.

Obviously she has tied her legacy to that crappy piece of legislation. 

So what’s wrong with that? What’s important to note is that he knows that in the churches around him he is not going to get a message that he would agree with. And why submit himself to another diatribe of disagreable verbose from preachers when he was to face it daily from everywhere in the world.

Obama is not ready to change anything. Chaos is ahead and that is all that matters.

stodghie, Obama went to TCC for a political base in the black community. It is a very politically active church. And as for his saying he wasn’t there much, there is a tape of the Rev. Wright doing his “Clinton ridin’ dirty” pulpit-humping rant that shows Obama present with his wife and daughters and laughing. He is at the last two or three frames of the tape, but it’s definitely him and he was definitely there, listening and laughing. And he exposed his two children to that sort of garbage too. Ick.
