Hillary’s Growing Shadow

Thanks to Victor Davis Hanson over at Real Clear Politics for the title that grabbed my attention. So, here’s my take on the image that popped right into my right brain.

The more the DNC and Obama ignore a candidate who deserves her day, the more they drag their feet about what to do with her, the larger and larger the shadow over Obama grows. Denver may end up being more about Hillary Clinton than Barack Obama!

How absolutely frightened of her they must be—and probably even more terrified of us, we who are not taking lightly the outrage over being saddled with a candidate who has way too little experience for the job. It shows more each day in increasingly scary ways.

The shadow only bears a likeness to Hillary, for she is not actually standing there. The shadow is made up of the millions of us who have had it with the way this primary played out—the rampant sexism, the media bias, and the manipulations that make those of us who have been loyal Democrats since the day we cast our first vote as teenagers wondering why our party has drifted into madness.

Yes, but please remember that “99% of AA’s” is a media distortion. Right off the bat, about half of the black population doesn’t vote, just like other races in this country. And next, 22% vote Republican.Then there are people who flat out know a used car salesman when they see one.

When all is said and done, what we’re really looking at is probably closer to 35 percent of the black population being 99% behind Obama.

Watts on Hannity has said often that he is not sure who he will vote for despite being a right wing republican.
Sowell in an article a month ago said also that he was undecided and was giving Obama serious consideration.
This is disturbing to me..
If the democrat was white these AA right wing conservatives wouldn’t even consider for a moment a democrat for president.
Now they’re not all like that…

I would say that Hillary should consider it a compliment that she could instill such fear in the Democrats because of her intelligence, competence and leadership qualities but the country needs her very badly and the fact that the Party won’t do anything to renounce BO is disgusting. We who know that he is not competent to run for anything will never vote for him and they know that we are 18 million strong no matter what the polls say.

I was watching the news this morning when the story broke. They said that the shooter was shot, but the police said that “he was shot in a manner that wouldn’t cause a fatal injury”. Well low and behold, he died. I just thought that was wierd.

I heard both FOX and CNN report today that the suspect had been “apprehended and killed”, a phrase I’ve never heard before. It sounds like it’s intended to have a subliminal meaning.

Evidently, the FBI got involved right away, which made me think about how the U.S. Attorney in this state was one of the nine replaced by Karl Rove.

A lot of other coincidences, too. A murder attempt of a Clinton superdelegate two weeks before the Democratic convention — in Arkansas, where Bill Clinton was governor for 12 years and knows all the Democrats there, including this fellow — and during a delegate defection crisis that has Rove so worried, he got a bunch of Republican congressmen to come out and publicly endorse Obama today.

Makes you wonder if Hillary Clinton was indeed blackmailed on June 4th.

I also noticed a story online that said Obama very recently was in touch with this state party leader about opening a campaign office, even though he got 26% of the vote in the primary. Almost as if they were setting up their cover story in advance to sidestep any suspicion…

I am from North Dakota and the talk around here is unreal. The people that thought about Obama are moving now to McCain as they see how corrupt the DNC is. They are so upset how Hillary was treated. I tell you if Obama is the nominee the outrage will be seen in November. McCain will win by a landslide and the people will remember everybody in the senate, etc that was in the tank for Obama. The Democratic party will be dead.

Yes, we are there and we promised to “have her back” as she did for us. There is a feeling of pressure, as before a storm and frustration like trying to untie a knot. Everyday is one less day until convention and I am convinced, no matter what precautions are taken, it will be an ugly display of tyranny. Today I got a call from a DEM running for Congress in Western Michiganistan, he said I had supported Hillary and he needed some money too. I told him I was done with the DEMS after they changed my vote and that the Party needs to be purged of people like Dean and Brazile and restore DEMOCRACY to their Party. The Chicago Tribune addressed this issue in March. They claim the information was rife with “error” and their reasoning was…that it listed Barry’s religion the same as his stepfather’s and that it failed to even mention his mother. And if that was the way their paternal society was, mentioning the stepfather and not the mother, how is that rife with error?

See for yourselves how they tried to downplay the fact that Barry went to the mosque with his stepfather by emphasizing “rarely” plus said they were all such loose and carefree Muslims there, wearing MINI-SKIRTS and allowing Christmas celebrations!

Obama and his mother moved from Honolulu to Jakarta to join Soetoro in 1967, when Obama was 6. Here, Obama became “Barry Soetoro.”

In their first neighborhood, Obama occasionally followed his stepfather to the mosque for Friday prayers, a few neighbors said. But Soetoro usually was too busy working, first for the Indonesian army and later for a Western oil company.

“Sometimes Lolo went to the mosque to pray, but he rarely socialized with people,” said Fermina Katarina Sinaga, Obama’s 3rd-grade teacher at the Catholic school, who lived near the family. “Rarely, Barry went to the mosque with Lolo.”

We’re not getting all the details here in Arkansas, either. Maybe we will tomorrow. All I know is that the supposedly recently fired, disgruntled person walked in & asked to see Gwatney to volunteer, went to his office & opened fire. He ran out to his pickup & sped away, followed by the police. Then, somehow, he ended up dead. This kind of reinforces for me my bad feeling that this is all getting rather scary & weird. I just don’t get the connection & why he shot Gwatney. Bad day in Arkansas.

Okay, so let us summarize:
1. War between Georgia and Russia — Obambi is on “vacation”
2. Hillary slapped in the face yet again with a diminished role at convention
3. Obama may pick Evan Bayh as VP — a pro-war candidate. Didn’t Obama attack Hillary all during the primary for her vote on the war whilst claiming that he did not vote for the war (even though he couldn’t because he wasn’t in the damned Senate at the time)?
4. The prime speaking slot is being given to Mark Warner of Virginia — an ANTI-GAY governor. Well, I guess Obambi doesn’t think he needs the votes of gays, women or moderate Democrats! Or Independents or liberal Republicans. Who does that leave exactly?
5. An anti-abortion Senator (Casey) also gets a plum speaking slot at the convention on Tuesday whilst threats about the Supreme Court and Roe vs. Wade are constantly being shoved down our throats!

Hillary’s shadow and OUR collective shadow is growing by the second. We’ve all be tossed under the bus!!!! Reverend Wright — shove over!

This really is a great cartoon for many reasons, including your creativity and art ability.

Hillary is a person who without having to be tall does through a big shadow. She does so because she is experienced, knowledgeable, real, and she cares about all the people and America. She cares about the people who did not vote for her as well as the 18 million supporters who did.

I am not sure if Hillary’s shadow is growing as fast as we would like. What I do know is that the more people get to know Obama, the more his essence shrinks, and the contrast is growing bigger and stronger. The DNC should be big enough to own up to their error, include Hillary, and let the truth fall where it may. The Democrats deserve no less, and if they get less then they will force people to vote for McCain since we need an experienced knowledgeable leader from Day One.

That’s a very compelling cartoon, Pat! It puts in perspective the small shrinking stature of Obama against the towering strength of Hillary and her supporters. Quite a brilliant piece of work along with your accompanying commentary which shows your left brain is working in good coordination with your right brain! I always look forward to your cartoons and your well-researched comments, and each time you seem to outdo your last production. It is clear from the comments that you now have quite an appreciative following. I think a compendium of your cartoons and comments could become a classic political contribution.

With all the negative stuff that is coming out about Obama, it would seem that the Democratic convention is going to be one big farce as things are shaping up. If he receives the nomination, McCain should should have no trouble becoming President in November. The leadership of the Demo party are like ostriches with their heads buried in the sand. They need to wake up to reality, stop playing the fool, and shift their support to Hillary before it is too late. Hee, last night I was watching my beloved “Project Runway.” The contestants were told that their challenge was going to be designing an outfit for a well-known woman who was a powerful executive. Two of them wondered aloud if it would be Hillary Clinton, and one –who is known for his outlandish creations–wondered how she would like “a neon pantsuit.” LOLOL I really giggled at the thought of our girl striding down the catwalk in a neon pantsuit!! I wish it had been her!

Even if Hillary’s name is called during a roll call, she won’t be nominated. The DNC is doing this simply to stroke her ego, nothing more. She will have her moment in the sun and then release her delegates to Obama, the rightful nominee. Her name is mud in political circles if she attempts to do anything stupid. The DNC will kick her out, and the Repubs won’t except her. She can try to run as an independent, but will only garner votes from you PUMA loyalists. Common sense will tell you that she will not risk her career by trying to hijack the nomination. But by judging from the comments on these boards though, not many people here seem have that.
