I completely agree with your comment “I will never forgive John McCain for foisting Palin on the country.”  I have thought the same thing for a very long time and I would compare McCain to Ralph Nader and Bill Buckner.

Despite everything else that he previously did, Ralph Nader will mainly go down in history as being the spoiler who elected Bush which hurt the country and the world very badly for 8 long years.

Retired Baseball player Bill Buckner, who was an overall above average baseball player, is mainly remembered in history as costing the Boston Red Sox the 1986 World Series for his error of letting a routine ground ball go through his legs which cost the Red Sox game 6 where they would have won the series by winning that game.  The Red Sox went on to lose game 7 so fair or unfair, Bill Buckner is only remembered in history for that one incident despite what he did in baseball over his entire career.  I lived in RI in 1986 and I am a Red Sox fan.  I saw that game and I could not believe that the Rex Sox came so close to winning and lost because of that one error.  Most people who live in New England and who saw that game will agree with me!     

The exact same concept is true with John McCain in my opinion.  Sarah Palin right now is helping Republican candidates all over the country (only those who are ideologues in the same mold of Jim DeMint and Michele Bachmann) to win their primary races and many of them will probably go on to win in November.  Palin’s endorsement of Gov. Rick Perry in Texas where I live is the main reason why he is beating Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison in the Republican primary for Governor.  Kay is a candidate who even Chris Matthews endorsed because he hates Perry so much!

The damage that Palin has already done by firing up the tea party kooks who helped to obstruct health care and her helping Republican ideologues to win their primary races in my opinion is already bad enough for McCain to mainly go down in history as being the person who irresponsibly unleashed Palin on the country despite his entire military and Senate career! 

I get sick thinking about how much damage that she may also cause after 2010 or if she could even become President in 2012 basically on a default basis if she happens to win the GOP nomination and if Obama is about as unpopular in 2012 as Bush was in 2008.  If that ever happens, then the next sound that you will probably hear on 1/20/13 (the next Inauguration Day) after the 21 gun salute will be our bombs falling on Iran, North Korea, and on any other countries who Palin does not like (or the Republican candidate who Palin helped to win does not like)!

If McCain had any guts and a conscience, then he would swallow his pride and admit that he made a terrible mistake by putting Palin on his ticket and denounce her just like how many of his campaign staff have done so far.  But winning a primary and re-election to the Senate in Arizona is more important to McCain and he knows that he will lose his primary race if he says anything bad about Palin.  I hope that McCain goes down in history as badly as Bush and Cheney will for his irresponsibly putting Palin on his ticket which is what unleashed her on the country!

Of course she and Hillary are far apart on many issues, but they are both intelligent women and would work out the differences. Both are devoted to this country but coming from different perspectives.  Sarah will get up to speed as fast as she needs to and I think would be a loyal VP to Hillary.  She has repeatedly said she is not thrilled with the Republican Party, but it is closer to her than the Dems. The woman is open to moderate and yes, common sense governance.

If it’s Hillary vs. Palin, I would go with Hillary.  Experience, knows where the bodies are buried, the faux feminists have revealed themselves as superficial thinkers, and long time male colleagues abandoned her for the good-looking guy. She’s in the clear.  And for that reason they aren’t through destroying her.

and obama has defined himself?  I still don’t know what he stands for but I don’t see the media and the pundits attacking his every thought, word and dead, like Sarah, and he’s the president!

Cognitive dissonance amongst his supporter and the press, are the only reason obama has not been impeached.  Even Krugman, one of his greatest supporters, is now saying ‘we are doomed’, and yet, Sarah Palin is viewed as a problem for our country.

That I absolutely agree with.  It drives me nuts that they [Dems and the media] seem so reluctant to press Palin on her nonsensical comments, rather than all these mean-spirited, frat-boy attacks. Even the likes of Andrea Mitchell joined in on the name calling, the Palm-Writing Gate nonsense. 

Why they persist on doing so is beyond me because it only increases Palin’s popularity and enlarges her image as the Republican Joan of Arc.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.  Ouch!  The New Dems are using old standbys–demeaning, ridiculing and supposedly withering the opposition.

It’s not working. You would think they would try something else. 

That bubble they’re all living in must be made of sound proof materials. Or the arrogance is so very great they can’t imagine being wrong. Or they have some secret ninja move in the background that I’m not aware of.

The whole thing is disturbing and distasteful to watch and listen to!
