Obama’s Two Faces and Forked Tongue, Pt 3: The U.S. is Evil?

Obama’s willingness to flip-flop has earned him the moniker Backtrack Obama. He betrayed progressives by voting for the FISA legislation; he promised to expand Bush’s faith-based initiatives; he equivocated on choice by saying that “mental distress” should not be a factor in abortion.

Obama’s newest flip flop was not over a matter of public policy important to progressives, but rather the United State’s historic role in confronting evil. During the debate at Saddleback, Rick Warren asked, “Does evil exist and, if it does, do we ignore it, do we negotiate with it, do we contain it, or do we defeat it?”

OBAMA: Evil does exist. I mean, I think we see evil all the time. We see evil in Darfur. We see evil sadly on the streets of our cities. We see evil in parents who viciously abuse their children. And I think it has to be confronted. It has to be confronted squarely. And one of the things that I strongly believe is that, you know, we are not going to, as individuals, be able to erase evil from the world. That is God’s task. But we can be soldiers in that process. And we can confront it when we see it.

Now, the one thing that I think is very important is for us to have some humility in how we approach the issue of confronting evil. Because, you know, a lot of evil’s been perpetrated based on the claim that we were trying to confront evil.

Think about Obama’s words. He’s talking about the United States. Consider the image below. It’s G.I.s examining a train car at Dachau. During the last century, the United States ended the bloody morass of World War I, freed Europe from genocidal Nazism and freed the Pacific Rim from the horrors of Imperial Japan. We held off Soviet expansionism and our policies eventually freed hundreds of millions who lived under the iron fist of communism.

dachau

Our country has undoubtedly made grievous errors confronting evil. We’ve entered conflicts, like Vietnam, where we had only a cursory understanding of the nationalistic feelings of the population. But to accuse the United States of being evil when we confronted communist expansionism in Korea or Vietnam or dictators elsewhere, like Iraq — regardless of how unwise the war policies may have been — is an inaccurate and shameful explanation of our history. It is the typical far-left canard which describes bad policies as having evil intentions.

The men responsible for our entry into Vietnam — Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson — were idealists who were responding to the pressures of their era. They collectively made many mistakes, but they were not evil men. Similarly, the men who had to deal with Saddam Hussein — Bush I, Clinton, and Bush II — were all criticized for their actions or inactions but all of them, I believe, wanted to make the best decisions for the security of their country. So while mistakes were made, colossal mistakes, it was not on par with the evil we confronted, as Obama suggests.

When Warren asked the same question of McCain, he responded:

MCCAIN: Defeat it.

(APPLAUSE) A couple points. One, if I’m president of the United States, my friends, if I have to follow him to the gates of hell, I will get Osama Bin Laden and bring him to justice. I will do that and I know how to do it. I will get that guy. No one, no one should be allowed to take thousands of innocent American lives.

This one question put into stark relief each man’s attitude towards the United States. McCain is a man who personally sacrificed in a war which lasted far too long, but he does not ascribe evil to his own country. He knows evil exists and he is ready to confront it. McCain is an old-fashioned patriot, and Obama believes in the moral relativists values of the extreme left. In Obama’s flip flop, the good guys become the bad guys. No wonder he felt at home at Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity Church.

Personally I am getting damn sick and tired of Barack Obama downgrading and insulting this country. Obama, soldiers have fought and died in bloody battles and been tortured so your sorry ass could sit there with a smug fucking smirk on your stupid ass face. Excuse my french, but I’ve had just about enough of it. Is it any wonder Obama would think this when he sat in Rev. Wrights “God Damn America” church for 20 years??

  • http://commonsensegram.wordpress.com ProudMilitaryMom

my thoughts- What we learn as children stays with us ALL our lives. During his formative years, Obama, by his own admission and according to the record, lived in Indonesia. Not his fault, but none the less, he did NOT spend his early learning years here in the States, learning as we all did, to honor and love our freat country. (Hence the lack of knowledge of flag and anthem etiquette.) How do we know what attitudes were put into the children’s heads over there in those years? Were they teaching Inodensian children that America is the greatest country on Earth. Were they teaching the children about America’s committment to freedom and Democracy?

Somehow I think not. I truly believe Obama’s early upbringing has left him with an attitude about our country that is conflicted at best and downright dangerous at worst.

His words are also reminiscent of his mentor: “Chickens coming home to roost.” You can hear the influence of this man in so many of his positions.

Of course, having said that: let’s not pretend the US is blameless in imperialistic behavior. What Bush did with his preemptive invasion was wrong. Also, our corporations are raping the globe for their own greed. There is blowback from that. I love this country, but I am not naive about some if it’s less than magnanimous actions.

  • http://N/A breeze

    OOps,

    …..that is the MOST OFFENSIVE….

I guess it depends what the definition of evil is. A lot of Obama’s campaign has been evil using racism, misogyny and threats right from the beginning of O’s campaign. I think pandering to the least of us is kind of evil. Congress is suppose to be working for the people but too many are working for the Corporations and the greed is kind of evil considering only 4% of the population has the bulk of the money. People are homeless and children are starving, people will freeze to death this winter, that might be evil.

I don’t think its America that is evil but there sure are a lot of evil-like people trying to control us with holding back news and important information, harm us (with bad drugs and chemicals)starve us, well I could write a book about all my concerns.

I do not see a halo above Obama’s head. Maybe I’m missing something.

I agree, mistakes were made. Unfortunately, many people in our country hold his view point. Because we’ve made bad decisions, we have become the bad guy. They keep likening us to the EU. The reality is that every country is looking out for itself. Even European countries have made bad choices and fought bad wars, but I would never look upon them as evil. I suppose the biggest problem is that despite our bad decisions, the US is still a major player in the world and continues to shape policy. But anyone else in our position would do the exact same thing. I guess they wanted us to fall on our own sword.

  • fif

And she made it worse: “Barack is the only candidate who can heal our souls.”

WTF?! He should have been a preacher, that is his obvious misidentification, with his long-winded sermons, desire to “heal our souls,” and faith-based initiatives. Get another line of work Barack. If I wanted to go to church, I’d go. I don’t need a president preaching to me.

  • Soldier of Christ

Yes…his name is “blessing from G-d. But, if you search deeper you wil find that it is the Prophet Muhammad who spoke of a “blessed one that will save them too.” It is a copy carbon of our Lord Yeshua’s life. Islam believes this character is going to make peace and help them change our country to Islam. Their religion states that all will pray to Allah and MUST be worldwide. They do not believe in other religions. Obama himself believes that he is the chosen one……and maybe that is why he will never see the whitehouse. The american people are fed up with his messiahic role.

Don’t know why. She has made it known that she is giving her delegates to Obama and endorsing him. What a big disappointment. Why don’t they just all vote for him- she giving away the delegates anyway. Don’t even know why they put her name and the roll call for- I guess to appease the central and ex-supporters to vote for the Fork Mouth Flip Flop man. I don’t think the central or the Justnodeals, Puma and the rest are going to be fooled so easily. Very disappointment on the golden girl!

The audacity of resume-padding (or, why Obama makes things up)

A few examples? Take Obama’s first general election ad. We are told that Obama “passed laws” that “extended healthcare for wounded troops who’d been neglected,” with a citation at the bottom to only one Senate bill: The 2008 Defense Authorization Bill, which passed the Senate by a 91-3 vote. Six Senators did not vote-including Obama. Nor is there evidence that he contributed to its passage in any material way. So, his claim to have “passed laws” amounts to citing a bill that was largely unopposed, that he didn’t vote for, and whose passage he didn’t impact. Even his hometown Chicago Tribune caught this false claim. It’s classic résumé-padding–falsely taking credit for the work of others.

Or take one of Obama’s standard lines: his claim of “twenty years of public service.” As pundit Michael Medved has pointed out, the numbers don’t add up. Shall we count? Three years in the US Senate (two of which he’s spent running for President), plus seven years in the Illinois State Senate (a part-time gig, during which time he also served as a law professor) equals, at most, ten. Even if we generously throw in his three years as a “community organizer” (whatever that means, let’s count it as public service), that still adds up to just thirteen.

“Just this past week, we passed out of the US Senate Banking Committee – which is my committee – a bill to call for divestment from Iran as way of ratcheting up the pressure to ensure that they don’t obtain a nuclear weapon.” (Emphasis added.)

Nice try. But as even CNN noted, Obama is not even on that committee. That is one peculiar “mistake” to simply have made by accident. Again, his claiming credit for the work of others just looks like clumsy, transparent résumé embellishment.

Obama’s record of accomplishment is thin not because of lack of opportunity, but in spite of it. For twenty years, Obama has walked the floors of the most prestigious institutions in the nation, but has left no footprints other than those from his runs for whatever office came next.

It’s been said that some people want to be President so they can do something; and some want to be President so they can be something. Obama has accomplished nothing noteworthy despite the golden opportunities and positions he’s had; why should we believe he’d be a different man in the White House?

No company would hire anyone with Obama’s empty track record, pattern of underachievement and padded résumé to be CEO. Is America really ready to hire him as President?

  • wodiej

I agree w your views on the war and corporate greed and most other people here no doubt do as well. If it weren’t for the horrible Presidency of King George Bush, Obama most likely would not have even been a nominee to begin with.

  • erin

While the courageous efforts of the United States brought to an end World Wars I&II it should be acknowledged that there were many other countries involved in ending those wars. There is no denying the US played a significant role, but Britain, Canada, and Australia also played a part in ending the wars. Not forgetting the major role that Russia played in the overthrow of Nazism.

  • steveeboy

MILLIONS of Vietnamese died in that war, the policy makers of that time knew they were acting on lies–tonkin gulf–yet they continued the war anyway.

Nixon prolonged the war to secure his re-election in 1968–at least LBJ had the decency to resign when he realized how bad he had screwed up.

That is only a small portion of the wrong that has been performed in the effort to “fight evil” in this country.

We could go on, but you people are so delusional in your hatred for obama and the democratic party that it would do little good to explore in full detail the rich history of abuses committed by this nation under the guise of doing “god’s will” or “fighting evil”

Obama said: “Because, you know, a lot of evil’s been perpetrated based on the claim that we were trying to confront evil.”

To jump from that statement to the conclusions you people make once more demonstrates that you are fundamentally twisted in your thinking.

Your hatred for obama, coupled with your motives to promote the GOP and McCain, makes you unable to even listen to a speech or read a statement without adding all your baggage and bullshit on top of it.

Again, you people are no better than Free Repiublic or LGF at this point.

At least those of you that are GOP ratfuckers have an excuse, you supposed “democrats” though– the ones that claim to be doing this because you love hillary clinton so much, really should get some professional help.

  • harvey

Obviously Obama does not see his aiding and abeting slumlords in their schemes to rob the poor as an evil act against humanity. Nor does he think his campaigning for a man in Kenya who is responsibile for hundreds of innocent people being murdered is an evil act. He doesn’t even think allowing babies to be thrown in the trash bins at birth is an evil act–else he would not have voted to kill the “Born Alive” bill that would have afforded all those live babies protection. Nor does he think an abortion just so his daughter would not be saddled with a problem (the problem of raising a born alive child) she may not want is an evil act. Obama is one sick mother. I watched a program on PBS last evening about Africa and all those millions of people who have died just because the warring rulers of those nations, tribes, and whatever , see no evil in expanding their power by any means at their disposal. I see Barrak Obama in all those rulers and leaders.

  • Calypso

Brings one back to the 2000 presidential campaign in the Gore/Bush debates when questions regarding how the candidates would treat international affairs were asked. Bush would reply with “HUMILITY”. A cover-up for Bush’s inability to intelligently discuss foreign affairs.

And now in these perilous times democratic leadership has “selected” Obama-Soetoro, a nominee who also uses “HUMILITY” as the password for lack of knowledge to discuss foreign issues!!

How I miss Hillary’s concise, articulate, knowledgeable voice on ALL issues.

Steveeboy you are the type of hypocrit that is the worse kind. If Obama and his campaign were the good guys, why all the misogyny, racism, sexism, Lies, voter fraud, Hateful attacks on Hillary, no experience in Obama’s background…and we’re the bad guys.

  • wodiej

I see your point. I am not doing anything else for Hillary. Country before party. She railed against Obama in the primaries by even saying McCain has experience but Obama gave a speech in 2002. And now she is supporting him. Maybe her and Bill have some kind of strategy they aren’t revealing or they are just doing all this because that is how politics is. But I sure as hell wish SOMEONE would be different and do what the hell is best of rhis country. I mean, how much nastier and ugly can they treat the Clintons anyway?? They’ve endured so much already and wouldn’t that show a hell of alot of guts to say “out of respect for this country and what it stands for we cannot support this person for the Dem nominee”. But you all know why….Obama is considered the first black presidential nominee. No one wants to be called racist. I say if we had more people willing to call things as they are and to hell with the political correct bullshit, people would be alot better off and so would this country.

Sorry, but you are no different than those that think America can do no wrong. You keep pointing to bad decisions in the past and liken that to how America thinks. Your very presence in this country means that that is not how America thinks. People like you enjoy focusing only on the negative, all the while ignoring the good.

The country, as with all other countries throughout time, is nationalistic and looks out for it’s own interest. I have faith in my country. No, I do not think she right all the time, but I refuse to explicitly focus on the bad choices (at least in my POV, others may not feel the same way) and condemn my country for past actions. America had done a ton of good throughout the world. If you look at donations world wide, which country ranks among the top three, if not #1, in giving donations? Give up?… it’s the US.

The people in this country are some of the hardest working and most charitable people on earth. And I refuse to let people like you piss on this country and her people any longer.

<blockquote>[Gen.] Boykin is in God’s chain of command. President Bush, he told an Oregon congregation last June, is “a man who prays in the Oval Office”. And the president, too, is on a divine mission. “George Bush was not elected by a majority of the voters in the US. He was appointed by God.”

Boykin is not unique in his belief that Bush is God’s anointed against evildoers. Before his 2000 campaign, Bush confided to a leader of the religious right: “I feel like God wants me to run for president … I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen.”

Michael Gerson, Bush’s chief speechwriter, tells colleagues that on September 20 2001, after Bush delivered his speech to the Congress declaring a war on terror, he called Gerson to thank him for writing it. “God wants you here,” Gerson says he told the president. And he says that Bush replied: “God wants us here.”

The superdelgates aren’t sleeping, they’ve been paid off. So much for true alligence.

And I have to tell you I’m getting sick of hearing the Dems attack the very country they claim to love so much.

I agree with Bud–we sure ain’t perfect and have made grievous errors in the past. The problem is that nations of all sorts are run by human beings, an imperfect species at best. But to ascribed all manner of evil to the United States is plain nuts and highly unpatriotic. Though patriotism has fallen out of favor, the naysayers might be startled at the number of citizens, the majority of US citizens, who truly love this country and want us to do better, be better at manuevering the murky waters of international affairs. But you don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater. People around the world aren’t struggling to get out of this country; they’re struggling to get in.

Again, I agree with Bud’s assessment on the Civil Forum and the stark difference between Obama’s and McCain’s performance. McCain was clear and sharp; Obama vague and meandering. So what is the Obamatron’s reaction: McCain must have cheated. Even they know John McCain scored much higher than their own candidate. But refusing to admit that, we have the litany of excuses.

Well, pardon me, but if Obama were to take office, there would be no place to hide, no excuses about jet lag or whining how the Russians or Al Queda or the Taliban were being “unfair.”

Evil does exist in the world. And though I’m a former Democrat recently turned Independent, I agree with McCain. You crush it without hesitation.

(I watched the forum, so I am aware of the context of the question BO is responding to)

Not saying America is evil, but evil things can happen in wars, and sometimes it’s Americans who commit them.

  • Sassy

    Kudos Bud!
Of course our country has flaws, as have all throughout civilization…that is human nature.
All the young men and women who have served to preserve the GREATEST nation to date however, did so for the inherent good of the country they LOVED, and any one who claims other-wise is unpatriotic, in my opinion!
Evil exists in the minds of mortals!

  • Skiron

Sorry, but there’s no way that senile old codger gets elected. Which is fortunate, because our freedoms would certainly not be in better hands with him in charge.

  • C.S.

Obama’s lessons about the USA didn’t start upon arrival in Indonesia; and I’m sure his adopted father’s attitudes shaped his beliefs from age 6 to 10 (depending upon which bio you believe) but everything we have learned about his mother, Ann Dunham, seems to show that she repudiated her connection to the United states.

Many American women choose to marry foreign born men from other countries but few of these women choose to follow their husbands to countries that did not recognise equal status with men. You have only to look at Barry Soertoro’s school record to see that his mother had no status as a parent in Indonesia and thus had no legal status independent of her male “guardian”, husband Soetoro. Did the child Barry Soetoro learn his disrespect of females, like his grandmother and Senator Clinton, during that time he spent in the company of his Indonesian father?

If so, his mother Ann Dunham allowed her son to be influenced by the Indonesian culture she adopted. Her biography shows that she spent little time in the USA during her lifetime and most of her time “home” was in Hawaii. Although considered unconventional by her classmates and friends we have heard from, she was also not a typical college student taking part in “the war” and Civil Rights movements which engulfed the United states at that time. And although Viet Nam soldiers routinely used Hawaii for R & R, there are no accounts that she even took notice of this war that ripped our country apart the same way this election has.

So from the little we are allowed to know, Barry Soetoro grew up in an environment completely devoid of all things American. Those children of illegal Mexican immigrants attending our schools know more of our history and show more allegiance to our America symbols than the Democratic candidate for president does. And that’s something to think about that.

  • vinnie

I totally agree. Not only did he live in Indonesia, he came back and lived in Hawaii. I mean this as no disrespect about Hawaii, but it doesn’t have the feel of the mainland where you see and feel the flavor of Americana. I came to this country at age 5 and lived the American life in a small town. I did my pledge of allegiance daily and, as a child, it really made an impression on me hearing my classmates and teacher recite it in harmony. Barry, on the other hand, heard the reciting of the Koran…just sayin’.

Don’t they realize they’ve been “played” by the Republicans. The Republicans planned to get Obama elected since 2006. They did not want to run against Hillary because they knew they would lose. That’s why he won all the “RED” states. The problem is that he has such a big ego that he thinks all those crossover voters will be voting for him in November, but they won’t. And when all the dirt they have on him comes out he will be finished! The DNC didn’t care to stop this because it was more important for them to get revenge on the Clintons.

The Founding Fathers in their infinite wisdom understood that a President should be a native born American with no divided loyalties to any other country. In the 232 years of this country’s existance our Democracy has never been so tested. We must hold our Constitution dear because its more important than any one person and certainly more important than being Politically Correct. We owe this to all those who fought and died to keep this country free. Someone once said DEMOCRACY IS THE BEST FORM OF GOVERNMENT IF YOU CAN KEEP IT.

  • cat

Obama told the Germans during the Berlin speech that his country “has not yet perfected itself”.
    What country HAS?

    Any more put-downs?
Want to talk about America’s soul? Or staying humble while dealing with evil?
What is this guy smoking? Oh, never mind…

Go and screw yourself, Barack. And that’s the edited version.

  • s. hall

roseeriter — the evil in this country is the big money elected officials routinely take from Corporate Fat Cats to do their bidding. In the end Obama could raise 1 Billion to run for the Presidency, while children in this land of plenty starve and millions are homeless. No wonder politicians only pay lip service to us–only big money matters.

We also have a media who doesn’t do news anymore–just back fence gossip. Most of us know the news a year before the media decides to cover it. 3-5 Corporations own our free media and the decide whats news.

We have been asleep at the switch while our country was taken over by corporate greed. Only when we see a Media out of control and a candidate who hangs around with people who hate this country have we taken notice. To keep a Democracy its people must be vigilant.

  • JML

Agreed. I don’t need my soul healed. I need to be able to work a decent job for a decent wage, and have the means by which to get to said decent job. I need access to health care. I need safe and reasonably priced food to eat. I need to be able to heat my home in the winter. I need my countrymen overseas to be kept out of harm’s way.

I’ll worry about my own soul, thankyouverymuch.

  • s. hall

wodiej — I agree. Where are the Patrick Henry’s GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH? Everyone is terrified that if they make waves they will lose their corporate donors when its time to run for re-election. If we get the money out of politics politicians might work for us again–they might decide to do whats best for the American people.

I love Hillary but I love this country more and I am tired of defending her supporting Obama in light of everything we now know. As you said, the Clintons have taken so much crap–my heart has ached for them. Why should they support a party which is about to implode? Its frightening when the people you think are strong give in to the forces of evil–what chance do the rest of us have?

  • Georgia

You are right on the money here Military mom. I had the same conversation with my son (Air force ROTC) coming back from holiday. Can you imagine how growing up without little league, 4th of July, main street parades, fireworks, family members & grandparents who fought in both World Wars would be like? Without a doubt, your perspective on this GREAT NATION would be radically different. Then, picture growing up with parents that were not patriots, committed atheists, and in a radically different culture and social structure, well…. your perspective would be reflective of the culture you were raised in. That said, this is not someone who can lead this country. We wouldn’t recognize our country after he got through with it! It is my sincere hope Hillary get’s the nomination (by some miracle) but if she does not, everything possible needs to be done to see that BO goes down in flames!

  • s. hall

erin — absolutely–they all deserve the credit for stopping the Nazis who killed 52 Million people in the 12 years of the 3rd Reich. The US sent 15 million soldiers to fight on two fronts. We could not have done it if were were divided within ourselves. Everyone was committed to the cause of freedom–it was the worst of times but it brought out the best in people.

  • ndree

Reminds me of Ohio in 2004 with the Diebold CEO promising to “deliver” the state to GWB. And GWB later crowing about him being sure to take OHIO.
I know that theft is in the air, and has been in the air from the very beginning. The DNC is so outraged at having 2 elections stolen from them, that they decided to go all out and banked EVERYTHING on a candidate from the Chicago combine.

  • s. hall

typical — Obama was just having one of his arrogant days. By the end of the week he will be a victim of racism once again. I am so sick of the saga of Obama. How about the saga of the American Middle Class for a change?

  • Bye bye Obambi

Oh, I hadn’t heard that. Do you remember when that was? I’d love to find the link so I could use the quote in letters to superdelegates

  • kgirl1028

although i detest obama, and thinks he needs to be crushed like a bug. I must say, he was some what right on this. He just didn’t know how to phrase it. I’m not sure if it is because i’m black, but one thing is certain blacks and whites see history through different colored glasses. From the crusades, to the war on terrorism and the unjust invasion of Iraq. In the salem which trials people hunted witches and killed women, bush and cheney injected Saddam into the american psyche and we attacked iraq. the Spanish inquisition, the enslavement of blacks,Japanese places in interment camps. the mccarthy and the red scare, the crusades, 9/11. all of theses things were evil, but held high to groups of people as good. trust me it sucks to defend obama, but on this notion he was right.

Hillary’s supporters should go after the pledges Delegates and the Superdelegate Representatives of the Districts that Hillary has won.

I’m a black guy and I know on a first hand basis that Blacks have had an opportunity to do so and have changed the minds of many of Hillary former black caucus supporters. There is a tactical advantage to obtain here if we go after them foreceably and HARD!

  • cat

    Kgirl

WTF could you possibly be talking about?

Evil exists within HUMANITY-not within Americans, or blacks, or whites!!

And no, sister-whites and blacks don’t see “history through different colored glasses”
    What a crock of shit!

Sure, true racism will greatly change a person’s perception.
But good is good whether you’re white or black.
Evil is evil whether you’re white or black.

Are you saying Obama ‘gets it’ because he’s black??

And as long as people continue to perpetuate this
“we are different” crap racism and resentment will live and nothing will ever change.

  • J. Smith

Barry says America has committed evil acts – he should specify those events to which he refers.

He wants to lead this nation, Hopey-Dopey-Changey and inference just won’t get it at this level.

I would recommend this, if not for the info, but for the authors experience. Quit interesting.

    Thanks for the link MissE.

    Teak,

I noticed another comment from Wright in the last (bottom) youtube video in the posting the other day titled Obama’s Christian Journey, where Rev. Wright is speaking before the National Press Club.

If you forward through the video to the 5:00 mark, here is a rough sketch of what Wright said, according to Dana Milbank:

“And everybody wants to paint me as if I’m anti-Semitic because of what Louis Farrakhan said 20 years ago. He is one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century; that’s what I think about him. . . . Louis Farrakhan is not my enemy. He did not put me in chains, he did not put me in slavery, and he didn’t make me this color.

First, Wright seems to be directing his overall hostility at “Whitey” (a.k.a., Europeans) for slavery.

Plus, Wright seems to be directing his anger at someone else (Whitey), for the fact that he was born black, as if someone is to be blamed for his skin color!!!

Yet, at the same time, Wright preaches in his church that Jesus was black, as if that is a positive thing.

  • PamFlorida

I don’t recall Sen. Clinton issuing a public statement about releasing her delegates to Obama. The brainwashed MSM continue to propagate this story to discourage Clinton supporters, hoping that they will give up and vote for Obama.
I will not give in and vote for Obama if he is the nominee. The GE is going to be very close and BO is not a sure thing.
A veto proof Democratic majority in the House and Senate will be good enough for me if McCain wins the WH.

  • TeakWoodKite

Rev.Wright. ??? Funny you give examples of what BO said

    W>O>R>M

  • Bud White

See how that attitude does for you in Ohio, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

  • hill2012

I have said it during this whole campaign, that I feel this election has been fixed!!!!

  • karen for Clinton

I have been speaking out against Bush since the day he got the nomination back in ’99. Personally I can’t stand the man and am thrilled he will be gone, gone gone for good. That said, when his daughter was getting married the press went bonkers covering it and it was annoying but understandable and acceptable.
What shocked me was a link I saw to pictures that appeared on DKos, aka obama central, showing graphic war photos along with her wedding pics. It was evil and they are out of their minds to do such a thing.

This is the type of thing I find in the man himself, the Ayers, Wright, Pfleger, Malcolm X, Odinga, Rezko, etc, etc, extremists who have evil in their actions.

MLK had it right, Ghandi had it right, there is a way to protest and promote goodness.

btw – someone here last week called ob “Soretoes” and now every time I see Soetoro I see it as sore toes.
    When the shoe fits! lol.

  • TeakWoodKite

I grow weary of the constant insinuation that America is “broken”. It is not America that is broken. It is that trust and verify has turned to aquiesance and apathy.

While stating the obvious, BO IS aware of what is “broken”; badly enough to have allowed him to get this far.

At the same time it is painfully clear that the concept of “slavery” to Rev. Wright Obama and his ilk is that the American Dream as defined in BLT is NOT viable. The Democratic Party is no longer viable because of this and the influence of the DSA.
It’s FUBAR and a CLUSTERF*&K all in one.

  • karen for Clinton

That is not the Annenberg Challenge I knew.

    Cover up time.

How can this man have virtually NO public records to disclose? He can’t stay in the cocoon for long, there is a whole big world out there that will hunt him down and expose all the nasty little details he hides.

He has yet to throw Ayers under the bus, but we all KNOW that is bound to happen and soon.

  • karen for Clinton

Would some intrepid journalist researcher reporter type see if there is any connection between Joe Andrews from Indiana who came out for ob and works for Diebold. I read an article in a business magazine, a week after sleazy Joe switched his endorsement to ob, that he got a big important job at DIEBOLD.

It might be nothing, but at the time it hit me with total dread.

Andrews was Chairman of the DNC and after dumping Hillary the lies he told constantly on CNN etc. about ob were gung-ho kool-ade drinker style.

There are 4,800 hits for “joe andrew” + diebold on google…

Your remark is very well stated and true. Obama is dangerous for our country. We need to all do everything we can to keep him from being elected.

Keep researching and spreading the good word, Larry. I look forward to reading this blog daily.

I am Black. In Feb my aunt died. She was in the 6888th Battalion and served in WWII sorting and delivering mail in England and later in France. My Dad and Uncle both served in the army in WWII. My family members all were in their early 20s and volunteered to serve this country out of love for America. It really pains me to hear/see Obama and his likes (Wright) slam this country, Regardless of the civil rights fights we have had in America, this is OUR country.

I still haven’t ceased to be amazed that Michelle is the first speaker.

The entire Obama campaign is a debacle.

He knows nothing, lies all the time, and is vague and pretentious. If elected he will be a disaster. As a lifelong Democrat, I am appalled.

The fix has been in. Information is buried. His backstory is vile This is a corrupt, inexperienced opportunist. God help us.

OBAMA MUST THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE STUPID !!!

It’s one thing when Obama tries to cover up mistakes he’s
made in private, or when he feebly tries to cover up or misdirect
us, by saying that he never heard Wright’s anti-American sermons
over a 20 year period … but, when Obama tells us that the
Palin lipstick/pig remark wasn’t an insult directed towards
Governor Palin, then Obama is adding insult to injury towards
the American people. This creep is not Presidential material.
P.S. The biased main stream liberal press which is attempting damage control for Obama, also must think the American people are stupid
