Yes, Governor Rendell should have some fond memories, as so much became clear when the candidates were campaigning in his state. My former state. The one where my sister just bought back and remodelled my Grandma’s house in Pitt. The one where Obama showed what a conceded Elitist he really is.

And word has it, even the true blue Democcrats that have voted ALL THEIR LIFE as a Democrat, don’t see Backtrack O as one and as heart sick as they are at the thought, will be voting for John McCain, a Republican for the first time in their 70′s years on this earth AND COUNTRY. So, if McCain is winning Democrats of Middle Aged and Seniors, that leaves a lot of new voters for Backtrack to find to register in the age group who doesn’t know any better and are only just starting to pay attention to politics.

I have thought about the Kennedy analogy so many times. Khruschev perceived Kennedy to be young and weak. Next thing you know we’ve got missile sites going up in Cuba. I have never voted for a Repub for President before either but if Obama is nominated, I’ll do it.

I am happy to vote for McCain as person of character, even though I am not happy about many of his policies. But my disagreements on McCain’s policies are nothing compared to my disagreements on Obama’s policies (or non-policies). Obama’s policy would be “do as I say or else.” And his leanings are very radical (to put it nicely) as we have learned over the past few months.

Also, don’t count out the younger generations. They are not all ignorant. Obama just likes to make it seem that way.

I’m curious. Why are Gov. Rendell and the nineteen year old delegate from California suddenly in the news talking about how they’re going to vote symbolically for Senator Clinton at the convention and then throw all their support behind Senator Obama? Is Howard Dean so insane he thinks this will unite the party? Anyone with half a brain knows it won’t and while I disagree with Dean and his policies, I see no evidence he’s missing half of his brain. Since June, slowly and steadily Senator Obama has been losing voters to either McCain, a third party or a decision to abstain from the vote. Once the campaign is in full swing in September and the Republican swiftboaters come out from beneath the docks, the defections are going to increase and less undecideds will be likely to throw their support towards Obama. Any pro-lifers who are currently supporting Obama won’t be able to run fast enough to McCain, they’ll probably trample each other in the stampede.

Why have a handful of delegates appeared in the past week to announce they’re voting for Clinton in the initial roll call? Are they trying to persuade other delegates to do the same with the hopes the vote will be high enough for a coup? Is the symbolic rhetoric added so they aren’t replaced or find their planes diverted to the South Pole? That’s probably wishful hoping on my part, the DNC probably does think a symbolic vote will appease the Democrats who have defected or are considering defection.

I have no way to know whether Mr. Shay is privy to any private announcement by Senator Clinton regarding the release of her delegates. But I do know that according to the 2008 Call to the Convention that it is not up to Mr. Shay or even to Senator Clinton as to how delegates vote on any roll call held.

The roll call vote is not private, unless Howard Dean and Donna Brazile have changed that also. I have watched Democratic Conventions ever since the’ve been televised, and each state’s name is called out, and the leader of that particular delegation goes to the microphone and usually gives a roaring speech lauding their state and then the number of votes for each individual candidate is announced. If this has been changed, it would only be for the purpose of making it easier to cheat.

I am all for voting for who you want, but to vote for McCain because you are pissed that Hillary lost, is that really a wise decision? Have you been listening to McCain at all? I agree whole heartedly, I would have liked to have seen the real rollcall vote not this big show to make obama more than he is. So much for wanting young people to be involved. Here was an opportunity for people to seen how our process works and they failed us. The voice of the democratic base was not heard but we got the message from the democratic leadership loud and clear. they made their pick and have pushed him on us all along. I was shocked and offended by the rollcall they should have just not had it if they were going to not allow all the states to publicly vote. I watched that crap only to have it cut short before my state even came up. Trying to force me to accept obama is not going to make me like him just because they have made others step up and say they think he is ready when he obviously is not. if he was he would be able to prove it on his own not have to make others endorse him, without others driving him forward he goes no where which is why i have concerns about him as POTUS.
