Cranky, Smart Ass Kid—OBAMA (F**king Disaster Update)

Obama and his team of “geniuses” certainly have perfected the art of shooting themselves in the foot. Appearing to be in charge and the ability to project an image of strength are critical traits and must be on display if a President hopes to succeed. Based on today’s performance, Barack is clueless.

Here’s a taste:

Whether you agree or disagree with the Republicans, give them credit for one thing. They showed up better prepared and certainly snookered the media in the lead up to the main event by mimicking Brer Rabbit and pleading not to be thrown into the Healthcare Summit Briar Patch with the Golden Messiah of Chicago. Once in the Briar Patch the Republicans set about debunking the media mantra that the Republicans are the party of “no.” They were organized, articulate and to the point.

Obama getting snippy and appearing churlish are not the kinds of traits folks want to see their President display. Instead of a genial smiling Jack Kennedy or Ronald Reagan we got Jimmy Carter in black face. Carter and Obama are brothers separated at birth. Both men taken themselves way too seriously. Both men have paper thin skin when confronting criticism. And Obama, in short order, is likely to join Carter as another one-term wonder.

UPDATE: OK, I watched/listened until 12:30pm and then I spent the afternoon playing golf. Here’s what I missed–I know that FOX and CNN both promised at the outset that they would cover the Health Care summit in its entirety. Well, guess what happened?

Obama put together a production of government in the television age, a health care reality show. He used his platform to direct discussion on the specifics of reform, cut off opponent posturing and make points of his own.

Yet he was only a host—not a producer—and television networks eager to cover it at first lost interest as time went on.

By 2:30 p.m., at the opening of the session’s second half, Fox News Channel had shifted to its studio show (occasionally showing a mute picture of the summit on a portion of its screen) and CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was reporting on poll results. Both covered it fitfully in the afternoon. MSNBC moved on to the Finland-Sweden ice hockey game from the Olympics. PBS aired “Between the Lions.”

When you are Barack “The Messiah” Obama and you lose CNN and PBS you are toast. But wait, there is more. Allahpundit at HotAir details the punditry reaction. More bad news for Barack:

I don’t think they seriously expected it to revive health care but they did expect enough pwnag3 by The One to buy them some extra cover on using reconciliation. Didn’t happen. (Not that that will stop them.) Obama’s problem today was that he couldn’t fly solo; he tried to, speaking for more minutes at the meeting than either the Democrats or Republicans did, but surrounding him with sad sacks like Reid and Harkin was bound to dilute the effect. Lotttt of water mixed in with the Hopenchange whiskey today.

My favorite reaction thus far comes from Marc Ambinder, echoing Kevin Kline talking about Vietnam at the end of “A Fish Called Wanda”: It was a tie!

And finally, over at FOX, Frank Luntz put together a focus group that blistered Obama and the Democrats (I’m looking for the link. Your help appreciated.)

Here’s the link (thanks, Linda and Kim).

In short, Barack sundered his vision of health care at the the “summit” today. Otherwise known as, “A Fucking Disaster!”

  • Ferd Berfle

That One is a supercilious sycophant and sociopath. The more he speaks, the less he really says. What he really ought to do at this moment in his “historic” presidency is shut the fuck up and let someone else get a word in edgewise who actually has command of the English language.

Hey obamabots, how’s that great orator working out for you?

Not so great, huh? LMAO at the talkers and takers.

  • Donna Brazile

    “But I’m the President.”

  • Ferd Berfle

Yeah and a disgrace to that high office. Damn it, Bush gets a pass now because he’s a piker in comparison to the current moron in the WH.

Stop the stupid Presidents in the WH fest.

  • Ferd Berfle

And I should add, LMAO, Donna.

  • buzzlatte

Obama displayed many of the symptoms that have given rise to the discussion of him having a personality disorder/narcissism.

A one-term petulant president is a whole lot better than a two term crazy one.

Listen up America.  One term Obama.  Repeat.  One term Obama.

  • Donna Brazile

“Plus, I went to Harvard where the esteemed Dr. Bishop attended.”

    Stop the “elite” education!

  • getfitnow

Having the 2000+ pgs piled high was a wonderful visual.BO was none too pleased.

Not much of a community organizer, is he?

  • I’m a Linda too

    Well said.  And tru’nuf

He just always comes across like the time he had his campaign staff make a faux presidential setting.  Like he’s playing president.

Senator McCain truly earned another contribution after his excellent voice on the matter.  And i know it’s the stupid network, but CNN had a full clip, with very well said arguments ON THE PEOPLES BEHALF that should be repeated.  So, if you’ll allow me, I will post the video link

    http://www.cnn.com/video/?/video/politics/2010/02/25/obama.mccain.exchange.cnn

And, again, this is fitting.  This ones for YOU Obama!

  • buzzlatte

Obama can’t face reality.  The piled up pages just symbolized his truly inadequate performance as president.

  • Ferd Berfle

“Based on today’s performance, Barack is clueless. ”

He certainly is, LJ. My antipathy towards That One has always been based on the premise that because he talks a lot, says nothing of consequence, and gets away with it that we have had foisted upon us a pedestrian piss-ant. I’m just waiting for the real meltdown to occur. A narcissistic ego-freak like That One can’t endure too much more constructive criticism as it ruffles his bantam feathers. The only consolation is that Oblabber is a one-termer, for sure.

  • mortuus lark

Obama was the host of a summit he conveyed and was in charge of keeping the order and the tone and regretfully John McCain began introducing stuff intended to embarrass the President directly in a personal way and embarrass the other side. These points that John McCain was making were too early and out of place at that moment in time. The President was within his right to stop McCain who lost the election and had no stature to start embarrassing him and the rest of the GUEST that were attending that meeting.

While it may look a litttle impolite for the President to scold John McCain, his senior in years, McCain was also rude in bringing up stuff that was aimed as a put down to the President. McCain was really out of order.

Next time, McCain should have a little more courtesy than aiming put downs.

One must realize that Obama is very sensitive to put downs against his character and that he has delt with put downs all his life and is very ready to defend himself against them. John McCain chose the wrong target at the wrong time to start a shoot out.

  • Peggy Sue

Wow!  I missed that clip.  Little bad blood between Obama and McCain?

    Ya think??

And Larry, I suspect you’ll get in trouble for this line:

    Jimmy Carter in black face.

But OMG, it made me laugh.

I remember Carter vividly.  He was the first POTUS I voted for.  And boy, was I ever sorry.  Jimmy Carter was a smart man.  I think he was a well-intentioned man, but he was a God awful President.  And yes, both he and President Obama were/are thin-skinned and lack leadership ability.

I didn’t catch the whole Summit, just snatches here and there.  But for the exception of John Boehner, I thought the Reps from both sides of the aisle sounded well prepared.  One thing I did notice–without TOTUS, the President is absolutely not an impressive speaker.

    The craziness continues!

  • karen

obama is a corporatist.  Plain and simple.  He is not a socialist, he is not even a liberal.  He is not for the people of this country.  He doesn’t care, he has his own agenda.   Let’s sweep him out of office along with most of the corrupt congress.

  • mortuus lark

Tonight there is going to be a big big party in the White House. Who knows maybe the rest of the week end will be all party all the time.

  • Ferd Berfle

    Uh-oh–Locusts have invaded.

  • lightacandle

Why was Obama calling everyone by his or her first name yet they all courteously called him Mr. President?

I think someone ought to have called him “Barack” to see how he liked being disrespected.

Did Obama think, maybe, that all the other participants were his underlings?

  • AC

    Obama’s character, now that’s a real laugh.

  • Ferd Berfle

“Hey homey” might be more appropriate in this case.

  • mortuus lark

One thing is for sure, none of those Republicans that were in that room today are able to beat Obama in a general election. The Republicans are going to need someone from outside like a Palin/Dobbs ticket. But no governor or Senator will be able to beat him in the next election.

  • Doc99

… One of the problems for President Obama may have been that he had to take on all comers without much real help from his fellow Democrats. Obama is quite good at this sort of exchange, and seems to have shown it again today. But the Republicans kept throwing fresh and usually reasonably bright and/or attractive faces at him. The Democrats had to let Reid and Pelosi [UPDATE: and Joe Biden) speak, and neither is fresh, attractive, or especially bright.

It also didn’t help Obama that the Republicans have a good case on the merits.

  • I’m a Linda too

True, Spending taxpayer dollars for their own fun has never been a problem for the Obama’s.  And now that they know they are history, they’z gonna’ live it up as much as they can ’til the day they are escorted out.

  • sowsear

Maybe they could have called him Barry. That would have pierced his thin skin…

  • Cas

Compared to Obama’s arrogant comments such as “I am the President” and “The election is over”, John McCain was absolutely right in bringing the right stuff at the right time and basically pointing out that the entire process used by Obama and the Democrats was disgraceful and undemocratic. I thought that John McCain should have been bold like this during the campaign. Better late than never!

  • ~~JustMe~~

Good to see you again Donna!

  • Docelder

No kidding. Some of the most functionally ignorant people as of late either went there, taught there or teach there. What is it with that place  and “brilliant” functional idiots anyway?

  • ~~JustMe~~

Yes he is! or Yes we can!

  • Docelder

    or maybe “dog”. :)

  • Anonymous
  • AC

    He’s an idiot!

  • AC

Because Obama has no class, never did, never will!

  • morris1030

To begin with Obama stands for nothing. Except what he thinks will help his re-election and how to feather his nest.  His behavior at times today was foolish and defensive as with McCain by patronizing a senior Senator and being unpresidentially sarcastic.  It isn’t great to watch this kind of inexperienced  narcissisim.  Foolishly believing he could really attract bi-partisanship before today, Obama must have to accept  that all he accomplished was waste time and appear weak, indecisive, and got found out for doing backroom business with the enemy.

This is a very ineffectual Democratic party and Obama is still the elitist
professor. The stumbles from the beginning didn’t conceal his inexperience and the insincerity involved with his abandonment of a public option and a clear and explanable healthcare bill to the public.

I was not impressed with anyone today and thought it a big media hype.

  • ~~JustMe~~

These points that John McCain was making were too early and out of place at that moment in time.

Hello? too early and out of place at that moment in time?

I HOPE HE IS NEVER FACED WITH A 3AM MOMENT!

    Shut the hell up lark.

  • ~~JustMe~~

Did Obama think, maybe, that all the other participants were his underlings?

    subordinate even!

  • mortuus lark

That is true. The Republcans had the upper hand with respect to ideas and numbers and propositions but that was not what mattered really. Yes, it is painful that having all the right stuff they were not able to capitalize. Why?

First Obama had the upper hand by being able to sofften his fall with a well placed rebuttal but also able to spring back with his constant meme:

“Yes all that the Republicans are saying is good and dandy for those who make lots of money but not for the people who currently can’t afford to buy health insurance.”

Lets face it, that mantra will carry the day over and over and the Republicans were boxed in by defining their plans as able to bring only “3 MILLION NEW PEOPLE INTO THE INSURANCE POOLS.”

So the contrast has made in those two categories. Obama for those who can’t afford insurance and Republicans for those who can afford it now but only are looking for lower rates.

In my estimation Obama WON. Reconciliation will be.

  • ~~JustMe~~

Did Obama think, maybe, that all the other participants were his underlings?

    subordinates even!

  • I’m a Linda too

Remember the days when Obama was claiming he claimed he wanted health care reform to reimport drugs, lower drug prices, lowers costs, lower prices for health insurance.  Now it’s so we can pay for unrecorded income to have free health care and get their hands on our lives to play God.

  • felizarte

Obama reminds me of that proverb:  The more you talk, the less you hear; the less you hear, the less you know.  He certainly proved the truth of that proverb.

  • Docelder

There is a difference between winning the battle and winning the war. There will be some brief moments, but the war seems to be lost for Obama. He tanked in year one. Nobody will forget that first impression.

  • ~~JustMe~~

So at a guess this summit was a waste of taxpayers dollars yet again! Where does this shambles take us to next? What is the next step?

  • mortuus lark

Republicans are embarrased now by accepting to do this summit.

Scott Brown will vote for the Bill if it was needed to get 51 votes.

Obama proved you all COMPLETELY WRONG and he proves that he knows what he is talking about the health care reform. Obama is an American hero.

Obama just embarrassed the Republicans by telling them he psyched them. He is getting the last laugh.

  • I’m a Linda too

I baked a cake just for this occasion!

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

THanks so much for that video – it really helped to set the scene.

Obama’s disrespect toward McCain is evident.  And inappropriate.  He may think it is scoring him points with some in his party (you know, the petulant, ill mannered part), but to adults who see someone act like that, it is telling indeed.

As anyone who has read my posts consistently knows, I have zero love lost for Bush.  But I bet had he done that to a senior senator, people would be screaming (I can see it now – calling Sen. Byrd, “Robbie,” or Sen. Kennedy, “Teddy.”), especially since he referenced the senators from HIS party by their titles.  What an ill-mannered poor sport he is.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

ROTFLMAO – good one, Ferd.  Excellent comments in general…

Uh oh, you mean Paul Ryan actually had numbers and facts?  Obama hates numbers and facts.  He likes generalities and platitudes about himself.

I nominate Obama for the most embarrassing president evah!

  • Geoff Kucera

That was an interesting made for TV movie, but not quite as action packed and quick paced as the West Wing.  I recognized most people in the cast, the cameos os Senators and Representatives playing themselves was a nice touch. But who was that actor that kept stumbling over his lines that was playing the President?

  • buzzlatte

You already used that one, Lark.  Turn the page of your obot manifesto.

    Better yet – Play dead.

    FERD, YOU GENIUS!

You have FINALLY settled the Perpetual Southern Conundrum, to wit, is “piss ant” one word, two words or one hypenated word!

Ah repeated English at Commie Martyrs High trying to resolve this issue.

Certainly, sir, you rate an entry in “How to Speak Southern!”

(BTW, I’d have said, “Petulant piss ant.”

  • oowawa

    “Obama’s disrespect toward McCain.”–And how, Rev. Amy . . . It’s sad.

First of all, McCain calls him “Mr. President,” and Thee One calls the Senator simply John, as if he were one of His apostles.  When O delivers his reminder that “the election is over,” he is slouched over, his chin propped on his hand.  His entire demeanor is disrespectful, and towards an elderly and physically broken Senator with a lifetime of service who was tortured in an enemy prison camp.

  • timmy

There’s absolutely nothing to say that intelligent people (as in high IQs) aren’t ignoramuses — sometimes the more information they pack into those XL brains, the more they need to rely on an ideology to neatly package it and sort it all out.  Add that to the polarizing factor on campuses and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.  On my first college paper, my prof wrote: “I disagree with everything you wrote, but you wrote it well – A.”  Those days are gone.  Today I had a student tell me that he was wary of taking a course on Soviet political history for fear that profs teaching it these days would put a positive spin on it. No kidding.

  • mortuus lark

No. Obama stressed again and again he was for those who could not afford to buy health insurance now. While he defined Republicans for those who are well enough financially. So he was an American hero.

Obama in history – yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

First Obama defeated all the big brass in the Democrat party including Surrender with a Smile and her faithful companion, Tonto.

Then he beat John McCain in the 2008 elections.

Today he beat the entire heavy brass of the Republican party all by himself in a magnificent display of elegant practical rhetoric. A feat all by itself worthy of the Guines book of world records.

Now if he can just get rid of SOS Hillary Clinton who self-defeated herself today and said of her agency, “Having to rely on foreign creditors hit “our ability to protect our security, to manage difficult problems and to show the leadership that we deserve,” she said.

And then said, “I really honestly wish I could turn the clock back.”

I feel Obama is ready for a meeting of the same kind with all of the Ayatollahs of Iran plus their pupet Ahmadinejad.

After today’s performance I am totally confident that Obama can beat the whole Ayatollah delegation. Lets just find him a place to meet in Greece.

Obama will win the war in Afghanistan, bring the troops form Iraq and beat the Iranian Ayatollas and become the greatest President ever.

Start carving his face in the mountain.

I went to school with a whole lot of smart people. I ended up about 17 in the class of 120 initially enrolled. 85 finished it, the rest dropped out. But I was about 8 years younger then the average student in the class and the inexperience always played a part. Not that I would want to be #1 or #2. The #3 guy had a photographic memory. You could ask hin what is the tenth word on page 700 of gray’s anatomy and he would know that. But all of the really high up students were broken in many other ways. Their personal lives were usually very chaotic. I would guess the top 10 of the class would make far worse doctors than the bottom 10 would. There is a lot to being a genius, but at the same time a functional idiot.

“Because Obama has no class, never did, never will!”

    Seen here.

You said it. Picture there proves it with his feet on the Resolute Desk. Likely no real honour either. I respect John Mcain. I wonder if Obama endured what Mcain did in the service of his country during wartime, would he have worded his response differently? Then again I think Obama secretly detests the military so I doubt it.

Imo he fears Mcain after watching that clip. I laughed seeing “Dear Leader” in action without Totus, how dare Mcain question The One?

You know what? I’m sick of you Larry Johnson and sick of this entire No Quarters website.  Enough already.  I am a HIllary supporter and I stuck with this website for a long time because it began as a website supportive of my views about how the Democratic Party stole the nomination from her.  Now this website is nothing but trashing President Obama.  Undeservedly.  Your website has become a joke.  Today Obama was fantastic, true leadership, the opposite of all the hate being thrown his way by this website.  The health care crisis facing this nation is real, just as real as the threat of terrorism as a potential to wreck our nation and cost lives.  Did any of you people listen to the congressional speakers today, Repub and Dem alike?  MEDICARE WILL BE BANKRUPT IN 8 YEARS.  Who gives a shit about Obama vs. Repubs.  This is about acting like Americans and coming together to face and solve a problem.  I hope President Obama finds a way through a Presidential Order to move health care reform ahead, leaving every single Repub or Dem behind trying to figure out what hit them.  I hope all these sanctimonious Republicans talking bullshit about government takeover feel some day that it’s like not to have health care and to go bankrupt paying of a medical bill – what the hell do you think Medicare is anyway, it is the federal government taking care of senior citizens – your parents and my parents – with money we all paid into the system for that very purpose.  same thing with Social Security.  What the hell is the military, if not government takeover in order to protect our national security.  All bullshit.  All of this.  Does anyone know the meaning of the word sacrifice anymore?  I am SO done with No Quarters.  Ciao.  Let your demeaning of my post begin.

Republicans came with perspective, facts and ideas. All Obama had in his arsenal was his immeasurable arrogance.

    To quote an Instapundit reader:

    “If you look right now:
    1. It’s not the lead headline on CNN.
    2. It’s not the lead headline on the NYT.
If this had turned out the way it was supposed to, it would be leading both of those sites in 60 point font.”

The only thing this “summit” accomplished was making the Republicans appear reasonable.

  • oowawa

Well, My other site, you raise an interesting question.  I see that Ferd is of the school of thought that hyphenates: piss-ant.  I consulted the Urban Dictionary, one of the scholarly reference works that I cling to, and they opine that there is no hyphen (but they’re probably a bunch of Damn Yankees).  Incidentally, they define “piss ant” as “a little person with a big attitude,”  so Ferd’s usage appears to be properly applied.

Yes, Obama certainly has perfected a new form of communication, but I’m not sure how his ability to talk out of his ass can be considered “valuable”. Perhaps he’s channeling Le Petomane!

I disagree with everything you posted in your update, Larry. The truth is exactly the opposite. Obama came out of this with flying colors. They will be able to push the bill through reconciliation.

That doesn’t mean that I think is the wrong thing to do or that it will destroy the economy. But Obama put the Dems back in control of the conversation. The Republicans were shown to represent only the well to do.

  • Cindy

The whole debacle was pretty bad. There just isn’t enough kool aid in all the seas to put a pretty spin on it.

But nevermind the Republican side of things, I wonder how the Dems felt? Obama was basically telling them that they all get to fall on their swords forcing something thru that the people don’t want in order to make him look like he’s accomplished something. Behind all his smugness he was almost like a little kid saying, “so what, I’m not the one running for re-election in 2010!”

I know he didn’t win over any Republicans today, but I wonder if he may have managed to actually loose a few more Democrats, too? After his arrogance today and his willingness to sacrifice everybody in his party. I’m not sure they’ll even have the 51 votes for a reconciliation.

  • FLDemFem

It is quite appropriate to address the president other than as “Mr. President”. “Mr. Obama” is also correct according to protocol. Given how his ego depends so much on hearing “Mr. President”, when he gets stupid and rude I would simply address him as “Mr. Obama” and watch the melt-down. I think all the Senators who are spoken to by Obama in a dismissive and rude fashion should call him “Mr. Obama”. Let him speak up and protest that correct form of address because it doesn’t show the respect he thinks he deserves. Let him do that on TV after he has failed to show common courtesy to the Senators who have served this country for decades longer than he has. Give him the rope and watch him hang himself on national TV.

  • Hokma

FLDem: I think Republicans intentionally called him “Mr. President” knowing how crude he is by not addressing them as “Senator” or “Congressman.” I think it worked showing Obama to be arrogant.

  • Hokma

I agree. I think the newsbites from this will paint Obama as the most arrogant person ever to occupy that seat. His unprovoked exchange with McCain will come back at him time after time.

McCain has served this country nearly his entire life including almost giving his life during wartime. Obama isn’t even qualified to lick his boots. I was outraged at Obama’s behavior.

  • Hokma

This was over at the outset when Obama arrogantly challenged Lamar Alexander’s presentation – even on CBO facts – which, in the end, Obama was dead wrong. At that point this was not going to be a bringing together. Instead it was going to be a confrontation.

In that moment with Lamar Alexander, Obama showed that he was not Reagan or Clinton or even Bush. Instead he was an immature and unprofessional punk and not worthy of the title of “Mr. President” which Republicans kept using and intentionally while Obama never showed the same respect.

I agree that Republicans came with facts and support while Democrats came with unsubstantiated sob stories including one by Tom Harkin. What Harkin never said was that the person he mentioned was the brother of one of his aids. The dumbest story was by Clyburn who spoke about a low income person on Medicare who was having a transplant and was told that under Medicare he would not be eligible for too much after care in recovery and ended by saying that this is why we need this healthcare package. Hey Clyburn – you just made an argument against government intervention so why do you want more of it?

Finally, I believe the most critical statement made by Comrad Obama was in response to John Boehner:

“The plan preented by John Boehner doesn’t radically change the system.”

That was it in a nutshell. This is not about healthcare reform and it never was. It was always about overhauling and nationalizing the entire healthcare system

While I wanted to believe that the man would change with the job that statement near the end, as well as his entire performance, clearly confirmed that Obama is a socialist – he was raised as a socialist – he mentored as a socialist – he always maintained close ties with socialists – and cannot see beyond his socialists core beliefs.

Very soon it will be time for everyone to call their congressmen and senators over and over again to let them know that their jobs are over if they vote for Obamacare.

  • Babs

Such a petty man, addressing all the Republicans by their first names instead of “Senator” or “Congressman”, accusing McCain of “campaigning” when the points McCain was making are a huge part of why Americans are skeptical about these bills. Somewhere in his upbringing someone forgot to tell Obama that respect is earned, and that you cannot earn it by being disrespectful to others in the petty, petulant manner we saw him employ yesterday.

    Answer: True or False?

  • Touchet

If you really think about it, Obama’s mindset is very dangerous.  His whole attitude and demenor says that he thinks everyone should shut up and do as HE says because he is president.  Why else would he issue the declaration, “I am president”.  It sounds like something a dictator would say.  Very very sad that people are willing to support such a character.

  • mortuus lark

Yes, Docelder Tonto as in kemosabe Tonto. Now don’t take offense because it is not directed at you or any native American. Besides the idea or meaning here is that Tonto usually was the fellow that untied the Lone Ranger when he got into a jam or brought him the information he needed to break the case. It is not in itself a derrogatory. Okay. okay.

  • Touchet

This is exactly his attitude.  He believes himself to be some kind of pseudo dictator or something.  Maybe he missed that consitutional class where they explained that the three branches of government were all supposed to be equal in their powers.

In any case its very bad to watch it happening in america.

  • Murray

Cas – I particularly enjoyed that part when McCain LAUGHED at him.
Right after Obama disrespected him by calling him by his first name, reminded us for the umpteenth time, “I am the President” (duh) and “The election is over,” …
McCain laughed, loud and long, and replied, smiling, “There’s not a day goes by, I’m not reminded of that.”
Which is a respectful way of saying, “Duh, Barry – so tell me something I don’t already know.”
And we all know how Barry HATES being laughed at!

  • tango

But didn’t he just call it a prop?  Should’ve pointed out if it’s a prop, then the Democrats who wrote that piece of crap were great set decorators!

  • mortuus lark

Look Touchet, the office of the President in America has been gaining power over the other two branches for many many years. He is not a pseudo dictator but a dictator in the making. He is practicing. Essentially yesterday, he mostly undermined the legislative process in a way that makes all the legislators work for him. And they let him to that. So don’t be a child. He is the owner of you because the Administrative branch is by defacto the owner of all Americans.

  • tango

He is practicing. Essentially yesterday, he mostly undermined the legislative process in a way that makes all the legislators work for him. And they let him to that. So don’t be a child. He is the owner of you because the Administrative branch is by defacto the owner of all Americans.

Yah, but it pisses me the hell off that us taxpayers then get to pay him a pension and give him & his family benefits and Secret Service protection for God knows how long. Talk about a golden parachute! Obama pisses on Americans and he gets rewarded for it.

That is actually the M.O. of a low level young manager who just got their first promotion into middle management and with some responsibility over a group of employees.

Since it is their first time their ego is over-inflated and they tend to act authoritarian because they have no experience in management and motivation nor do they understand how to properly treat people respectfully.

Obama is way over his head in this job (as is Pelosi) and they are both taking down the Democratic Party into an abyss they will not be able to get out of for deades.

  • creeper

That does it.  I’ve carefully refrained from using disrespectful terms to refer to Barack Obama in the past.  No more.  From here on out, he’s “Barry”.  That’s the level of respect he has earned from me and that’s what he’ll get.

  • Docelder

Dems are working for those who don’t pay taxes while Republicans are working for those who pay a lot of taxes. – Those are the talking points, superficially correct in some ways. But in reality, the plan is a boon for insurers and pharma. Their lobbyists wrote most of it. Something for the poor is just the frosting on an otherwise dried cow patty. It may look pretty on the surface, but bite into it and it’s still a cow patty. When I was a kid growing up on a ranch, you know how we got rid of ragweed? We mixed molasses and water and sprayed it on the ragweed. The cattle then ate the ragweed. This is the same thing really.

  • Docelder

Not offended. I just don’t see Hillary as a Tonto. What is more, I can’t even imagine Obama as the Lone Ranger. I can see Obama as the banker trying to steal the widows land because he knows she has an undiscovered gold mine on it. In other words, I see him as one of the Lone Ranger’s villians. I can see that. Silver bullets… no.

I think Comrade Homey was trying to disassociate himself with the constant reminders (now from even MSM) that he is still campaigning and has never begun to govern.  That was the reason for this little charade.  To make him seem to be in charge.  Immediately afterward, there were MSM stories that David Plopffle (?) had started setting up the campaign for 2012 followed by denial after denial…another charade to give them the opportunity to put the story to rest.  SORRY.  Ain’t happenin’, Comrade.

and did you notice, after that put down of mccain, obama didnt even bother to answer his question. or for that matter most of the questions  put to him by the repubs.  if he didnt like what  they were saying, he just talked over them.  so much for his coming to “listen”  to his own voice maybe?

  • bamaLV

not to mention  how petulant and childish he sounded. this hyped up event did not help him in the least.  it was all “my way or the highway”  he thinks he needs this debacle of a bill to pass so he can have something (anything) to run on in 2012 since he can no longer campaign  against bush. his arrogance and rudeness to mccain was very unpresidential but then so is everything he does.

Obama seems to hang himself every time he appears on TV.  He is inappropriate and desperate for the limelight, seeming to not understand that people have endured his endless trips before the teleprompters to the point where he is making himself an afterthought to a majority of Americans.

Someone needs to correct him on air, in public, about using the respectful title “Senator” when addressing one of them.

As to the pointing out that the election is over, he also needs public reminding that it is he who is constantly campaigning, with examples specified.  Hasn’t he also started his 2012 campaign?  Does he really think he is a better, bigger man than McCain?  How many years has he served in public life?  How many wars has he fought in?  The ‘how many’ list can go on and on, with Obama getting the worst of it.

Let him keep talking.  He is digging his own grave and making himself a one termer.

My point is this.  I outranked every enlisted man in the Army.  Yet, every enlisted person I ever encountered who had earned the rank of sergeant I addressed by his title, and not just his last name.  I did this as a sign of respect for someone who had paid their dues, where I had not.

Actually, Desiree Roger’s resignation is quite interesting. You know you are in big time trouble in DC when Sally Quinn calls for your resignation. Desiree and Valerie Jarett do not get along.

Roger’s reported replacement, Julianna Smoot did something with Chuck Schumer, but I don’t remember what. She worked on Obama’s campaign too.

On one hand, the “leaking” of this information may be a diversionary tactic, but I don’t see how it helps Obama. It’s unfortunate, but Americans love a cat fight. We have Sally Quinn (who turned on the Clintons because First Lady Hillary Clinton declined Quinn’s advice on how to entertain in DC) and Valerie Jarett (one of the gang of four) pushing poor Desiree out on the street.

Quinn – same old same old. Jarrett? Is it wise to expose her any further? Desiree is not a shy person, and although she is said to be a close friend of the Obamas, I think she will be  a loose cannon post firing. The Obamas tried like hell to protect Jarett, even after the Secret Service fiasco.

If people start poking around in this hornets’ nest nobody is going to come out a winner. How will this impact Jarett?

I wonder if I can find Rahm’s fingerprints on this caper. What do you think?

  • Becky

The flash of his eyes, the look on his face when he initially responds to McCain says it all.  It shows so clearly just how deeply disturbed a man this is we have sitting in the Big Chair.  He is a man with a microphone, he has the floor whenever and for however long he wants, and it is all HIS.  It is scary that someone with his disposition is President.

OK, here’s the one thing I could find:

    http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2010/02/desiree-rogers-obama-white-house.html

    <quote>
But here’s Rogers’ problem: She’s not from the Daley Democratic faction that controls the White House now, particularly access to Obama. The Ticket examined the Chicago connections in depth here earlier this month.
But the Daley faction includes Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who learned his ruthless business running errands for the Chicago machine in the 1980s, and David Axelrod, who knew the machine intimately as a Chicago Tribune politics reporter in those years before becoming a political consultant to them.
It also includes Valerie Jarrett, who was Mayor Richard M. Daley’s deputy chief of staff when she hired someone named Michelle Robinson, now known as First Lady Michelle Obama. Would you like some more meatballs with your spaghetti?</unquote>

    Very interesting read, this.

I almost feel sorry for the Congressional Dems who jumped on the bandwagon to support a wild card when they could have supported Hillary.  Now they have discovered that not only does Obama govern against the American people but he doesn’t give a damn if the Dems lose Congress as long as he gets what he wants.  A couple of days ago I read that Obama was beginning his 2012 campaign for a second term.  This while trashing Dems for daring to think about their own campaigns instead of concentrating on his Healthcare Plan 24/7.

Now the Libs want to get this done by Easter using the Teddy Kennedy name — didn’t they try this a few months ago?  And wasn’t Kennedy’s seat won by a Republican?   This is torture — Water Boarding would be a relief at this point.

  • arabella trefoil

Cindy – Some low minded people think that Desiree set her cap for the president, making Michelle angry. I totally disagree with this. Believe it or not, I heard this from a group of black aquaintances. (All women.)

See, it’s the whole “cat fight” mentality that bothers me. I’m interested in the dynamics of the Obama administration, but not to the point where I have to make it into a soap opera.

I greatly fear some of the media (I predict one of them will be M****** D***) will turn this into “Cat fight at the White House” or worse.

There were many, many legitimate reasons to fire Rogers. I hope one of our fine authors will write a post about this. The problem for the Obama White House is that once a smart investigator starts picking the scab, Rogers opens a door that is best left closed. Not because she wanted to be First Lady, but because her story is a cautionary tale about everything that is wrong with the Obama White House.

Sorry for the long OT comment, but this is an important story.

Yeah, that about sums it up in an acorn shell.

Jackie—then how about this: Jimmy Carter is Barack Obama in white face.
     Better?

  • Onofre’s arm

Hey Botfly, I much preferred your EXIT from NQ when Scott Brown won the “Kennedy’s seat”. Rarely have I witnessed the kind childish tantrum and petulant pouting that you displayed, coming from an adult. In fact, the theatrical flourish you delivered as you left, “I’M LEAVING “NQ” NOW, YOU TROGLODYTE BRUTES! YOU’RE NOT WORTHY OF MY BRILLIANCE! I VOW NEVER TO RETURN……………EVAH!!!!!” was the most entertaining thing you’ve ever posted, and I was rather hoping that you would abide by your vow.

  • prime obot

Whatever. You’re all the same people who were soooo positive that he was unelectable in 2008. Now you’re soooo positive that he’s a one term president.  I’ll check back in a few weeks once health care passes and his approval rating skyrockets.

  • prime obot

Hmm, I don’t remember. But thanks for the compliment. Certainly I’ve cut my NQ posting way down, though, so that should count for something. I do think I’ll have to come back to read all the postings about the death of America when Obama signs the health care reform bill. Half of you will call him a communist, the other half will call him a corporate shill, everyone will agree that it’s a terrible bill, and nobody will care that your reasons for why it’s a terrible bill are diametrically opposed. Good times!

  • Onofre’s arm

Of course you don’t “remember”, because you have the integrity of warm jello. A principled individual would not only remember their promises, they would acknowledge and apologize when they broke them. In this regard, you and Obama are soul mates.

  • Ladydawnelle

long legged mack daddy (according to Manning) lol

Prime Obot wrote:” Amy, this is the last time I’ll say this, because I really am finished with this hideous site: but you should be ashamed of yourself. Writing with glee about the election of a hardcore right-wing Republican who believes women who’ve been raped should be turned away from hospitals who don’t want to do abortions is just the lowest of the low. And you find yourself cracking jokes about this terrible result. You need to look in the mirror. Seriously. I am finished. You are all awful. ”

    Remember now?

arabella trefoil, it was towards the end of the clip.

If the focus group was indeed an equal number of dems / repubs, and I saw only two or three hands not raised in response to the question.
Also interesting was speed in which they raised there hands.

Even the “BO supporters” did not look anything but frustrated and skeptical.
the 95 percent was me looking a raising of hands. BO has no clothes and what is worse he has no one left to tell him. Not he would care.

    Bye Bye, cb-Bot!

If only McCain would have replied “Let’s have that election today and see what happens”

  • ~~JustMe~~

yes that bed is probably staring Michelle right in the face if she put on her glasses and looked closely the slippers would jump out to bite her!

  • No Longer Banned in Beantown

    I love your picture.

You cannot depict the inner Obama any better unless you make it into an avatar picking its nose with the middle finger and then sucking it.

  • PainKillerJayne

    I love you guys here!!!!!!

warm jello, ummmmmm, somethings never stop right!

Yes, his makeup was awful. It looked like his face was covered with Silly Putty.

Thanks OD2EB, I firmly believe that the excessive use of comedy may be the only way to tolerate the next three years of the tragedy being played out in our capital. The performance of “Obama and the National Meltdown” makes “Titus Andronicus” look like an episode of “The Brady Bunch”

  • Is It 2012 Yet?

CB…Uhhh…let me get this straight…you sat and watched as Obama and his thugs literally destroyed Hillary through fraud…you know who Obama is because you saw him give Hillary the finger, knew that he played “99 Problems But the Bitch Ain’t One” at his little party in Iowa, you know exactly what was done to your candidate and loved one Hillary and yet you can applaud Obama for acting like a juvenile delinquent THUG, yet again, just like we saw in 2008.  Wow, I really suggest a long vacation and some serious mental health care.  Dig deep in your soul and figure out why you feel that you have to tolerate abuse from creeps like Obama. Good luck with that!  BUH BYE.

Sadly the President and the Democrats have used the “Sal Alinsky type posture” on us all and they name, blame, shame, mock, and isolate us as if we don’t exist, and they continue to Dictate and Intimidate – I smell “Animal Farm” here! But, if we are to enlighten all of our folks, independents, etc., we can’t cuss in our blogs – It loses credibility. Do I want to? Yes every day?! But – we have to really show folks the twisted underlying motives of these messes, the 1000′a oF PAGES OF BILLS  to overcontrol us! Democrats did not come to the table to share or work together! They just want to shove their agendas down our throats! They have too many cronies to pay off!

OA — as long as it’s the Dems who eat their own, I’ll enjoy the play. ;)
