The Kingdom Takes Over Denver

What would a gaudy extravaganza for “The Coronation” be without a dungeon? Sure enough, as Uppity Woman has already reported here wire cages topped off with barbed wire and stun-gun carrying guards await anyone who …. does what?
Despite detailed descriptions of the facility, the arrest, bond posting, and court processing, why one would be arrested remains fuzzy. I finally found the one sheet flier everyone will be handed that sheds new light on the term “vague.” Couched in the cloak of one’s rights, your guess as to why you can be hauled off to the Denver Gitmo is as good as mine. Every “right” has a “but.” You can speak out, unless….You can march on public streets, unless… Or, I quote, “Even if you are not engaged in unlawful activity, you are subject to citation and/or arrest if you do not leave the area defined by the police in their lawful (?) order to disperse.” I get the feeling that the police can make it up as they go.
This reminds me of the bigger picture. Obama’s comment last June 14th in Philadelphia, “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun” suggests that his critics will be treated harshly. The Democratic Party has lost its moorings and appears to be about to push through an inexperienced candidate who we know little about (most records either conveniently missing or under embargo), and what we do know involves some pretty ruthless and dangerous associates. How would the freedom of expression and right of association be played out under an Obama administration? Like Denver, it simply is not clear–but it feels ominous.
