Obama, Where is Your Brother?

Normally I believe that matters of religion and faith should be a private issue. But when a politician starts quoting the Bible to establish a standard that one should follow in their daily life then I believe that person’s faith is fair game. So check out Barack Obama’s glaring hypocrisy. When asked about his faith by Pastor Rick Warren at last Saturday’s debacle in Saddleback, Barack “Barry Soetoro” Obama said this:
SEN. OBAMA: Absolutely. But look, you know, when I find myself taking the wrong step, I think a lot of times it’s because I’m trying to protect myself instead of do God’s work.
REV. WARREN: Yeah, fundamental selfishness.
SEN. OBAMA: And so that, I think, is my own failure.
REV. WARREN: How about America?
SEN. OBAMA: I think America’s greatest moral failure in my lifetime has been that we still don’t abide by that basic precept in Matthew that whatever you do for the least of my brothers you do for me. (Applause.) And that notion of — that basic principle applies to poverty. It applies to racism and sexism. It applies to, you know, not thinking about providing ladders of opportunity for people to get into the middle class.
I mean, there’s a pervasive sense, I think, that this country, as wealthy and powerful as we are, still don’t spend enough time thinking about “the least of these.”
So what? Well, meet George Hussein Onyango Obama.
George Onyango Obama is Barack’s half-brother. Barack/Barry’s birth father–Barack Obama–had some other kids. According to the British paper, The Telegraph:
The Italian edition of Vanity Fair said that it had found George Hussein Onyango Obama living in a hut in a ramshackle town of Huruma on the outskirts of Nairobi.
Mr Obama, 26, the youngest of the presidential candidate’s half-brothers, spoke for the first time about his life, which could not be more different than that of the Democratic contender.
“No-one knows who I am,” he told the magazine, before claiming: “I live here on less than a dollar a month.”
According to Italy’s Vanity Fair his two metre by three metre shack is decorated with football posters of the Italian football giants AC Milan and Inter, as well as a calendar showing exotic beaches of the world. . .
He has only met his famous older brother twice – once when he was just five and the last time in 2006 when Senator Obama was on a tour of East Africa and visited Nairobi.
We’re talking family here. Now I don’t know about America’s moral failure in failing to apply Jesus’ teaching (as recorded in Matthew) regarding “the least of my brothers,” but Barack? This dude ain’t some hypothetical brother. He isn’t a soul brother. He’s your damn brother and is living in abject poverty.
Let me get the Genesis quote ready for Barack. Genesis? Not the band, but the first chapter of the Bible. You see where I am going?
And the Lord said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?
And he [God] said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
– Genesis 4: 9-10 (KJV)
Hold on! Cain killed his brother. Barack has not done anything. But that’s the point. Barack has done zippo for his younger brother. Barack talks a good game about taking care of the poor, but when it comes to his own flesh and blood he is too busy to be bothered about his half-brother living in a shanty in Africa that most Americans would not let their dogs inhabit. You talk the talk but you don’t walk the walk Barack. If you can do for America what you have done for your brother we are in big trouble. O Brother, Where Art Thou?
