I had personnally seen the Pre-Katrina Emergency Response Plans for several not to be mentioned states. Not a single mention of what to do for a natural disater. I am not shitting you.

DHS took over the reigns from FEMA, and all of the states ERP’s had to be reviewed and approved by DHS. Hence the overboard emphasis on terrorism.

I could not believe my eyes. I re-read through every one of those gigantic documents. I was looking for Mutual Aid Agreements that are set up between municpalities and among states to assist when disaster strikes.

All of the language was based on man made disasters, and terrorism.

These were from some big states in Hurricane alley.

But, these ERP’s have all been modified since Katrina and Rita, and now have plans for mother natures fury.

 It was a real eye opener to see the myopic and shortsighted planning.

When Katrina came, it was no wonder Brownie did not know what to do. They really did not know how to respond and it showed.

Weare not going to ignore the Jihad Janes, but we don’t need 1000 agencies looking for Jihad Jack’s and Jill’s either. Those kind of bumbling knuckleeads will expose themselves in a manner that can be reported to the local PD.

I’ve heard stories of ATF, FBI and DEA agents nearly killing each other infiltrating drug rings. Multiply that by a thousand going after terrorists and you see the kind of Keystone Kop chaos that will follow.

ANd the money that these agencies will be demanding and overspending to meet a role that does not need to be met will be staggering. It could approach paying for Obamacare if it snowballs the way bureaucratic budgets have a way of doing.

And, that, Israel cannot do. They need our money to survive, acc. to the Congressional Research Service. 

If a nation is completely dependent on the US for an annual subvention of between $3-$7 million, amounting to more than $100 million over the years, plus weapons systems we essentially give to them for free, because Israel has never paid us for any of them–some of which they have been caught selling to China by the way–and would be a pariah in the international community for its violations of international law if it were not for the US, wouldn’t you think they would show a little more RESPECT for its patron?

The money they receive from the U.S. is not for boosting the Israel economy – they actually have a very thriving economy with particularly in the technology sector. There are more scientific and tech advances coming out of Israel than probably anywhere else right now. Their medical program is more technologically advanced than the U.S.

US citizens need to become pro active. Understand their surroundings etc Watch, Listen, See, Act, Report. But saying that FEMA has not changed much and the disaster in American Samoa showed that we have not come very far since Katrina. We kind of tried this shortly after 911 and sent most major cities bomb squads crazy and tied up DHS resources looking for UBL to pop out of a submarine in NY Harbor.

Telling people to have situational awareness and teaching that is two totally different things. Hell most people can’t report the facts straight in a traffic accident forget looking out for terrorism. How many examples of misreporting’s have we heard about since 911?  We have to do a much better job of teaching the public rather than keeping them scared.
