Got this in the mail from MoveOn(think I must have been looking to them during my Hillary Days)
“Dear MoveOn member,
Imagine picking up the newspaper next week and seeing this headline:
“Short One Vote, Obama Health Care Effort Fails”
It’s a nightmare—but it could happen. The big House vote is this weekend and they’re still short a handful of votes. ”

I not only did a reply but found their contact button on their site and wrote.
”I would be dancing in the streets if one vote blocked Health Care and sending campaign donations to that one great American politician”

This also is showing that the Democrats do not have the Support or votes and are still scrambling for suport and votes.

This Vanity Fair Article is worth the read. It dicusses the huge profits/margins and executive salries of the healtcare industry.

While the middle class is losing ground with stagnent wages and double digit annual health insurance premium increases (at least in MA), the healtcare industry and Wall street seem immune. Executive salries and profit margins keep going up.
I suspect that we will end up paying a disproportinate share of the bill for this plan that they are ramming down our throats. Yet the right defends the model. Any talk of reigning in executive pays or limiting profit margins on the industry is fought.

Actually the hype surrounding this bill is bigger than the bill itself. Yes I am not happy with it… but if it gets passed it actually changes little. Yes your private health insurance is not in danger. That is the typical bullshit of the right and the insurance lobby, who gets a nice piece of the action anyway. The entire affair is a huge waste of time and taxpayer money and both parties need to be thrown out for the waste….

The Top Ten Immediate Benefits You’ll Get When Health Care Reform Passes
As soon as health care passes, the American people will see immediate benefits. The legislation will:
Prohibit pre-existing condition exclusions for children in all new plans;Provide immediate access to insurance for uninsured Americans who are uninsured because of a pre-existing condition through a temporary high-risk pool;Prohibit dropping people from coverage when they get sick in all individual plans;Lower seniors prescription drug prices by beginning to close the donut hole;Offer tax credits to small businesses to purchase coverage;Eliminate lifetime limits and restrictive annual limits on benefits in all plans;Require plans to cover an enrollee’s dependent children until age 26;Require new plans to cover preventive services and immunizations without cost-sharing;Ensure consumers have access to an effective internal and external appeals process to appeal new insurance plan decisions;Require premium rebates to enrollees from insurers with high administrative expenditures and require public disclosure of the percent of premiums applied to overhead costs.

I’m calling to say “thank you” for fighting for health insurance reform — and to let you know that the voters in our state, who are useless eaters and useless breathers emitting deadly levels of CO2 on a hourly basis, won’t be there to vote against you once you’re up for reelection. As Bill Gates has suggested, the use of Health Care and Vaccines will reduce the population sufficiently to save the planet and save your job. I saw a very small snippet of Bret Baier’s interview with Obama. So many of us have been saying all along that Obama is just like Bush. Looks like he proves it in this interview by saying that the members of the House who don’t vote FOR this healthcare bill are AGAINST healthcare reform. Just like Bush told the world after 9/11 that “you’re either with us or you’re against us.” He doen’t get that most people believe in healthcare reform, many of us just don’t believe we need an overhaul of the entire system in one monstrosity of a bill in these current economic times.
