A Report from Denver

I work near all the action. I spent my lunch break walking through Civic
Center Park taking pictures with my camera phone, so please forgive the quality.

You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Take a tour with me:

Noice Raids. I thought it was noise misspelled. It’s anti-ICE, the immigration enforcement agency.

The gringo is muy un-Patriotic. This silly white boy thinks he’s a vaquero with the hat. Thanks for flying a foreign flag at an American political convention, gringo.

The folks at NOICE were selling a shirt which suggested you throw away the American flag.

Of course the pot folks were there. I’m not too worried about the pot folks causing problems.

This lovely individual put a swastika on the American and Colorado flag. If it were not for the United States, this bastard probably would be spreken sie Deutsche.

I met Peggy from Ann Arbor, Michigan. She’s an Obama supporter, but nice sunglasses.

These were the two Republicans I found. They were walking around with Nobama signs. They were very nice. I told them I was a Hillary supporter and they said: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

  • buckybadgerboy

    First!?!

    • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

I wish I could read the sign the Republican guy on the right is holding:

“Do not fall 4 the false (not clear) that is being (unclear).

      O blah blah”

I think these guys should have written Pelosi’s speech.I tried watching her but the lack of substance in her presentation was causing me an existential crisis.

      • bert

I think the second unclear is offered. But I can’t make out the first. But it is neat nonetheless.

The desecration of our flag is very offensive.

      • carol

        false change

      • C.S.

I see “Do not fall for false change that is being offered”. Hope it persuades enough to stop the madness of King Obama.

      • NomNomNom

        change that is being offered

      • Alice

“Do not fall for the change that is being offered”, I think?

      • tek

Do not fall for the false CHANGE that is being offered. IMHO.

      • Boxer Mum 06

        I think it says:

Do not fall for the false change that is being offered. Oblah Oblah

Thanks for that, I refuse to watch MSNBC…
Is there something seriously wrong with that man (K), or what?

I also watched the video from channel 2 news out of Chicago,1st in right column,
about the University of Chicago releasing documents. That might be very interesting to follow.

      • LookingForwardTo2012

Ah, brevity levity. Hope your existentialism is much better today!

      • norrismorris

Pelosi in her white Mao suit was a bit scary.

Worst of all she had nothing to say. Platitudes.

Mme Defarge of the Dem Party finally looked the part.

    • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

ok even tho I hate Obama

I hope those republicans don’t do to Hillary fans what they did to Sadamm.

Wasn’t he our “friend” at one time too?

HATE that guy with the heinous nazi symbol coving our flag!

I’m afraid he would have had a big red slap mark on his face if I had been so close! Or some tomato residue dripping from his mangy face!

Hillary Delegate Called Uncle Tom by Obama Supporter Ill. State Senate Pres.

N.O.W. is calling for Illinois State Senate President; Emil Jones to resign after calling fellow Ill. Hillary delegate an “Uncle Tom” for not backing Obama

Yeah THIS should bring those Hillary holdouts on board come the convention vote!

    http://www.bythefault.com/2008/08/25/another-crisis-brewing-for-obama-in-illinois/

Please pass this on and post it EVERYwhere, we need this one in all the major media outlets by tomorrow!

    • Darryl

OMG. did you hear him say, I said “doubting Thomas” LOL. He is trying to pull an Obama, “Thats not what I said”.

This is really sad. This is all the Obama campaign boils down to. A black man calling the nation racist.

Tell Howard ‘even women’ Dean the abusive acts of the DNC are not acceptable. They created a monster of a problem when they chose to ignore the thug tactics.

This Emil story is on topic in this thread. Emil has long been on our “wretched hive of scum and villainy” never-ending list of vote thieves surrounding ob.

Thug-o-rama bama. The DNC owns it now, they stole the nomination fair and square.

            • Perry Logan

That’s the deal. The Democratic Party has gone rotten as a dead fish.

They broke all the rules to nominate an incompetent ex-cokehead for President. Are they stealing from the neocons or what?

      • No Obamislamists

It’s only a matter of time for Obama’s supporters start openly pondering that voting against Obama is essentially a hate crime, hoping to scare and intimidate white people into voting for him.

    • eurogirl70

Mind you that is the same Emil Jones who Obama ingratiated himself to during his last year in the Illinois legilature. It was Jones who allowed Obama to “pad” his resume during his last year, prior to making a run for the Senate. Mind you most of the legislation that Obama was allowed to bring to the floor for votes, was crafted by fellow AA legislators who Obama had no problem climbing over to get where he is today.

Better an Uncle Tom there Mr. Jones than Obama’s “Daddy”!!

  • Clinton Fan

    Bud, great snaps!

    Thanks!

  • Illinois_gal

    What a colorful bunch.

Maybe the pot folks should hand out free samples. What a mellow Convention that would be. Just keep plenty of snacks on hand to control their munchies.

    • BernieO

But what about the slime ball Republican, Jim Leach, that was allowed to speak last night??? He was a big Clinton hater so his inclusion as a speaker had to be done as a slap at Clinton. Check out what Joe Conason said about him at Salon.com in 2002:

During the Clinton era, Leach turned into Newt Gingrich’s abject Igor, happy to undertake the dirtiest work against the speaker’s enemies in the White House. The normally soft-spoken Leach was among the loudest Whitewater blowhards in the House. Finding nothing there, he proceeded to abuse his House Banking Committee chairmanship to open a bogus probe of the Mena airport cocaine-smuggling hoax, as Murray Waas reported in Salon. He did so at Gingrich’s behest, with the connivance of unsavory figures from Richard Mellon Scaife’s Arkansas Project. Despite heavy-breathing press leaks designed to smear Bill Clinton, Leach and his staff spent three years (and many thousands of staff hours in the House and other agencies, including the CIA) without producing a hearing or even a final written report. A Leach spokesman did eventually admit that there was no evidence whatsoever against Clinton.

      • Annie Oakley

Just another slap in the face to the old party by the new Uniter.

        • PKJAYNE

I’ll be slapping back Nov 4th.

          • vinnie

            ouch!

      • norrismorris

I thought Leach was a bad joke. Totally innapropriate and pandering at its worst.

I don’t see this as an insult to just the Clinton legacy, but the entire party took a hit.

Caroline looked sappy “in love with Obama”, and I found her naive and sad.

Ted showing cannot be criticized even though he’s the architect of the anti Clinton Coup. He got a get home free card because he’s dying.

Politics as usual. So much for Change. Forget Hope.

        • FranSC

I agree about Caroline Kennedy. When she said There are two men who have inspired her and they are her father and BO, I was stunned!

Being who she is with exposure to the best this country has to offer, that is pretty sad! Passing the Camelot torch to an Illinois state senator who was a street organizer from Chicago before that is nothing short of laughable.

Barack Obama is no John Kennedy. He’s not even close to a Ted Kennedy…..or have we been misled about the Kennedys’ all this time?

  • JML

I thought Monday’s horrible muzak was probably doing a good job at keeping things “mellow.”

Now we know where she was holed up for the past couple months. Surgery, and Charm School Boot Camp.

        What a freakin phony.

        • Hillcrat

Too bad that could not do anything with the lower flapping lip… ;)

    • CountryFirst

Beautiful song and video, but I’m so disappointed that she will have thrown those 18 million voices under the bus by not allowing the roll call to play out after so many people worked so hard to get her name in nomination (which there should have been no question of in the first place). She caved in, evidently, to intimidation when her supporters did not. I don’t know if I can support her in 2012. I don’t understand it and the party be damned!

      • vinnie

This is true. I think if anything she could have stood up for, it would have been for that. More than likely, it would have played out and still let Barry have his votes…it only shows me fear by the Dems. If that is what they live by, then they deserve to lose the GE. No one wants wimps as their leaders.

        • Zee

Nice try, troll, but I’m going to punish the thugs, not Hillary.

      • norrismorris

Whatever happens, Hillary will have NO FUTURE in the Party unless she compromises and plays ball.

Whatever future politically is possible for her should be obvious if you’re tuned in to the TV and Convention talk about “The Hillary Factor” and trying to lay blame [in adnvance] for any shortcomings of Obama onto Hillary as a spoiler.

Instead of stressing that it’s Obama that must close the deal, they are implying that it’s up to Hillary.

These bastards are the lowest, and their purpose is to destroy the Clintons. And of course, if Obama doesn’t make it they are laying the groundwork to blame and punish Hillary.

What to do? Hillary must support Obama and insure that the Democrats win in order for Clinton to have a future. This is raw politics.

When are we going to stop crucifying Hillary, no matter what she does?

If we can’t get over the Dem Party’s Coup, then vote your interest. But Hillary should be applauded for taking so much dreck from every side
and is still standing. I support her position no matter what. She deserves a medal for sheer bravery.

    • Diana

I did not watch that video I couldn’t stay at that website. Making Hillary look like Che a man that rounded up sick people and gay people to put them into camps to face a firing squad is not an image I think Hillary should be associated with. Che was not a freedom fighter he enjoyed killing people, including those that agreed with his philosophies. He was no better than a serial killer, he just enjoyed the protection of those killings from the government.

Che presided over the Cuban Revolution’s first firing squads. He founded Cuba’s “labor camp” system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims. To get himself killed, and to get a lot of other people killed, was central to Che’s imagination. In the famous essay in which he issued his ringing call for “two, three, many Vietnams,” he also spoke about martyrdom and managed to compose a number of chilling phrases: “Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become …”—

EVEN THOUGH –I LOVED MICHELLE ,S SPEECH TODAY —IT WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH TO EVEN UP THE HATE SHE SPEWED AGAINST CLINTONS…

    • Elizabeth Reilly

Michelle is stll the ultimate racist pig! She hates white people and no amount of sugarcoating is going to hide that fact from people who have heard her comments. Tip of the iceberg.

      • bert

I did not like the speech. I did not view it, but I read the transcript. The narrative of the speech is pure fiction. The DNC is tring to make the Obamas seem like average Anericans. Nothing is further from the truth.

They are going to also highlight Obama’s Kansas roots. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LIES, LIES, LIES. Fiction, fiction, fiction. You can fool some of the people (far left wing radical Dems) but they won’t be able to fool all Americans. What is sad is that these folks believe their own fictional creation and live in a dream world. This construct will come tumbling down in the next few months.

        • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

          Kansas roots?

Wait, don’t tell me: Obama’s house was swept up in a tornado and he landed in Oz. Then he had to find the magic ruby slippers to get back to Auntie Typical White Granny.

          and Toto too.

          • SJ

Kansas roots you ‘ve got to be kidding now, please don’t make me sick this morning what else are they willing to do to prop up this phony.

            • PKJAYNE

              Honolulu Kansas ;)

              • Skip

He’d never even been in Kansas until just before the primary.

    • C.S.

I think this MLK quote sums up not just Mrs. Obama’s trip to the podium but the whole Democratic convention; including the “uncle Tom” reference to a Clinton delegate by Obama’s political mentor.

In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”
      – Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

Those of us who exercise our First Amendment Rights at this Convention are being treated as enemies but every Clinton supporter who goes alone with this plan to quash the Clinton vote is the “silence” that will be remembered in what is turning into Obama’s war against our Democracy. And make no mistake, it is a war. Obama was quite happy to seize the votes of other candidates to achieve his political ambition.

  • typical.white.person

Obama Signaled Early That He Was Unlikely To Choose Ex-Rival

The question of how seriously Obama considered tapping Clinton for the ticket has become a source of unhappiness for both sides of late. Clinton was never asked for the official vetting paperwork when other potential running mates were. Obama never invited her to have a real conversation about potentially joining forces, although the two spent time together at several events.

    .

At the same time, aides said, Obama did, in fact, consider whether he should revisit the idea of an Obama-Clinton ticket as he went through the selection process.

But in effect, he did not really consider Clinton for the No. 2 spot. Even toward the end of his decision-making process, as he was weighing alternatives and leaning toward Biden, Obama raised the idea of Clinton once more with the close circle of associates helping him make the decision — but ultimately concluded that it was not the correct course. The campaign has declined repeatedly to delve into specifics about exactly what it was that Obama did not feel comfortable with.

    .

On Monday, Obama sought to minimize the issue. “I’ve tried not to have long discussions about short lists, long lists, but I’ve said publicly before and I will repeat again that, you know, Senator Clinton would have been on anybody’s shortlist. And so I took her very seriously,” Obama said in response to a question on the airport tarmac here, during his first question-and-answer session in weeks.

Asked whether Clinton had been specifically on his shortlist, Obama replied: “I think you can draw that conclusion.”

But if Obama thought about reconsidering Clinton, he did not share that with her, and some of her associates said she never had a chance to make the case for how she could help him win. Obama expressed “no interest,” had “no meetings, no conversations, no requests for information, no real consideration whatsoever,” said a Clinton loyalist who talked with her throughout the process.

And so Clinton, aware that she was essentially out of the running, did not dwell on pursuing the vice presidency. She turned to helping Obama campaign where she could, making public appearances on his behalf and raising money for him — before arriving in Denver, where she turned to the mammoth task of persuading her most intransigent supporters to back her former rival.

Ya’ think Obama is still steaming mad at Hillary?

Hillary showed Obama up in the last 10 or so states when she won overwhelmingly.

His pride and ego were obviously bruised pretty good. Obama would rather still be hostile towards Hillary Clinton of all people. Isn’t it sad that he can’t take the higher road?

And this is what we have to look forward to for the Democratic candidate.

    • karen for Clinton

We saw the intention to never do so all throughout the primaries. Hillary said she’d pick ob and ob answered with silence and then finally the “short list” quote. Pelosi repeatedly said there would be no dream team. Now he is trying to wiggle that he considered Hill when he didn’t. Pelosi said many, many times it was not going to happen.

He couldn’t allow HER into his war room skeleton closet and inner circle of incriminating evidence.

      • Tuppence 411

The after the fact commentary will be the same in 2008 as it was in 2000- Gore needed Clinton to win. Obama needed Clinton to win. Obama can go back to the Senate as a big LOSER. And the bottom line is Hillary will have a stellar senate career under a MCCain presidency. They like each other, they can work together to get things accomplished. She will be well positioned for 2012, while Pelosi, Reid, Obama, and Kerry fade into the background!

    • JoseyJ

      Obama needs a Geography Lesson

At first I thought he just goofed once. Then I started to think, what’s up with all the mix-up with the cities he’s in and the cities he’s talking about? Doesn’t he mock McCain for being old and trying to imply he’s too old to be president?

Remember when Obama mixed up Sioux City and Sioux Falls in a state he was campaigning?

Then after that, he went to Florida and kept on calling Sunrise (the city he was campaigning in) – Sunshine?

Then what about that story about his great uncle – Auschwitz vs Buchenwald.

Then last night at the Dem Convention, he mixed up St. Louis with Kansas City.

I know this isn’t really a big deal but it really shows that for his age, Obama isn’t much sharper than McCain.

      george bush on crack

    • http://mmb silverfox

i truly feel that obama did not have a hand in picking the veep. he does not carry that kind of power in this coup. he is propped up by those who do not show their faces, and he is kept in place by very serious handlers who are henchmen for the coup.

this camp of thugs play by their own set of rules and they play very rough and dirty. murder is not beneath them. most likely they will be involved in “counting” the votes in the GE and manipulating the outcome.

i for one want Hillary no where near these guys. after the GE she should step very far away from the obamacoup for her own safety and the safety of her family. she is stumping for obamabum because she was “made an offer she could not refuse”.

i will never support the obamacoup war on the people of the USA.

i will vote McCain ,and only those dems who supported Hillary where they were called to represent their district voters. i’m in Massachusetts and Kerry has another Dem going for his seat, kennedy will most likely retire or he will be retired. the people of Ma. are not forgetting. Ma. votes favored Hillary while our illustrious kerry and kennedy blatantly snubbed them and backed obama.

i can’t wait for McCain and Co. to sink their teeth in and bust this balloon. yet, i’m almost certain there will not be any fair press coverage forMcCain as we all know who is in charge of the media(both the far left and right).

  • Taj

I cannot decide whether I like Ted Kennedy or not. On the one hand, he has accomplished so much for progressive causes in the Senate. On the other hand, he practically got away with murder and attacked Hillary during the primaries.

What do you guys think about him?

    • VMorris

Ted got away with murder long before Hillary came into the picture…a point many young folks would never know about…and a point many older Democrats conveniently forget.

Can you say… Mary Jo Kopechne???

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Jo_Kopechne

Yeah, that damned bartender kept spiking Teddy’s kiddie cocktail with alcohol.

      • Sharon

Everyone should read about Mary Jo Kopechne and how perhaps she could have been saved and how he left her in the water for hours. Also his ex-wife Joan was on TV announcing that they were getting back together and was going to be married soon. Just a few days later he married his current wife. Joan became an alcoholic while she was married to him. She had low self esteem and has never recovered from the years of being with him. So when I see Ted Kennedy I think of the 2 women that he destroyed.

        • http://www.share-international.org a nancy in name only

Which of us can forget Joe Biden’s Clarence Thomas hearings when the last man with a chance to save Anita Hill’s reputation was TED KENNEDY! The irony was agonizing and, I have to say, he seemed well aware of the shameful situation of his own making and cleaned his act up after that.

        • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

I”m no fan of any Kennedy but YES WE KNOW about Mary Jo

the damn right drags that up every 4 yrs or so along with the abortion issue and we (well when I was still officially a D) would drag up a list of republican murderers and perverts like Craig or Vitter or Foley or laura during her pot years (lol like they are over?)

I think he cares about the poor as long as they don’t live near him. I think he talks women’s rights and spent most of his life bonking any one of them he wanted. But then poor ted had a tough act to follow. He was always the underdog of the brothers. Jack and Bobby were far more dynamic, so I imagine he spent most of his life trying to match up.

    • wodiej

Ted left his girlfriend to drown in the river after driving drunk. Whatever he has done for progressive issues does not wipe the slate clean.

    • PewL

Hillary won his state didn’t she..

    • PewL

Clinton was his state, and Kennedy supported Obama..Is he really liked in his state?

    • catherine

Ted is a good man- and has worked hard his whole career for many worthwhile causes. The only reason he did not support Hillary is that she made some speeches in which she minimized the influence of the Kennedy family (mostly John) in having an impact on national and world events. She gave more credit to Johnson for example on impacting poverty and this got Teddy pissed. Ted is determined not to have anyone destroy the Kennedy legacy. He thought Obama would be the one to carry it on under his direction and influence.

      • Leisa

Hmmm, Ted Kennedy; legacy before country.

      • PJ

I think Ted and Kerry need to retire. It’s time for a CHANGE in MA.

        • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

I think you don’t have to worry about TED (he’s dying isn’t he?)

and I hear Kerry has a REAL challenger in that O’Reilly guy.

          • YouGuysAreUnbelievable

Haha yeah I heard he pulled within 45 points in the last poll!

Then again, I forgot you guys only follow polls when they swing your way…

        • Zee

We can vote Kerry out in Sept!!!!

Vote for Ed OReilly in the primary folks!!!!!!!!

      • nobonomo

That meme is a fairytale. The whole process was gamed from the beginning and the story about Teddy getting pissed about the Kennedy legacy was just something that was floated.

I don’t know how you can consider a murderer a good man. It makes me sick to see people pay homage to this guy when he never paid the price for taking someone’s life.

        • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

~”He thought Obama would be the one to carry it on under his direction and influence”~

        OBAMA??????

I never knew Ted Kennedy was that deluded! Comparing Obama to John Kennedy, either politically or morally, is ridiculous. For starters, John F. Kennedy wrote a non-fiction book Profiles in Courage. Obama wrote a fictional autobiography about himself! And there probably isn’t enough space on this blog to compare the political differences between Kennedy and Obama without starting on his personal associations and lies. This support for Obama, not a good way to end a political career.

    • bert

Ted is not the Kennedy I used to know.

    What is Women’s Equality Day?

At the behest of Rep. Bella Abzug (D-NY), in 1971 the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as “Women’s Equality Day.”

The date was selected to commemorate the 1920 passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, granting women the right to vote. This was the culmination of a massive, peaceful civil rights movement by women that had its formal beginnings in 1848 at the world’s first women’s rights convention, in Seneca Falls, New York.

The observance of Women’s Equality Day not only commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment, but also calls attention to women’s continuing efforts toward full equality. Workplaces, libraries, organizations, and public facilities now participate with Women’s Equality Day programs, displays, video showings, or other activities.

Hillary Supporters, Still No Love For Chris Matthews

Hillary proteststors (sic) are in front of the msnbc set. Chris Matthews walked on to the set, Hillary supporters started chanting “sexist pig, sexist pig”, and booing him. Before he arrived the Clinton and Obama supporters were yelling at each other. There [are] about 200 people in front of the msnbc set. The group that was yelling back and forth at each other was fairly small – approx 15 ppl.

Well, what can we say? As we all know the Obama campaing and their supporters have alienated many of Hillarys supporters, by calling us racist, bigots, biches, faggs and so on because we ask him about his record and his convictions and the radical friends he shares his company with for 20 yrs, and the experience needed to run a country , and make a voice for the people, Obama has made a voice of Doing for me and Im doing for you, more and more we are finding out about his past. McCain is proven and has the pride and experience we need to address the issues that sitting down with rogue dictators, and expecting them to embrass and love America, not going to happen. We have seen the Dnc speak of voicing good judgement, well 3 voiced opinions is not a record on voting when every opportunity Os had on doing what is right for American he voted present, Is this the record we want in the White HOuse; No he has proven the lack of conviction to stand up and believe his true calling , but he does admirably say nice things about radical terrorist. My country before Party, a voice is not a record I want representing me in the White House.
As of race, Obama campaign and their supporters use race daily from the time the race began on demeaning Hillary and her supporters with every disgracefull word imaginable, well tonight Mrs Obama used treat people with Pride and Dignity, and we all know as from months of this Hillary supporters were disrespected , at every turn . When the Dnc hired those racist bloggers to do their dirty work they should have given them a brief statement of Mrs Obamas own words, Pride and dignity, is down the drain with the abuses we have had to endured

We have heard it time and time again and now one of O”s closest mentors is now being ask for his resignation on making a comment about a Hillary Supporter, Uncle Tom. mmmm? Now he has bought to the limelight of what has been occuring with Hillary supporters the disrespect that continues at the Democratic convention that they have failed to acknowledge that will be pushed into the limelight by the Republicans. Senator of Ill , President Jones resign with the disgrace that you have once enlightened the racism that Obamas campaign lead in full force of democracy.

I will not be a silent vote for Obama, in a stay home vote a write in vote, a third party vote, I will voice my right for John McCain a proven record and experience, I own my vote, the party of unity is not allowing a man to sit down and state a voice of no war is a proven record of good judgment: a record of Fisa , partial abortion vote, a friendship with radical terrorist Ayerss , Farrahkhan, Rezko, Wright and a voice to disarm America of its nukes. Which we all know that is not a smart decesion knowing that Russia is now playing its roll as Big Bear.

Another plunder the republicans will focus on, well I as a voter is not willing to put my families future into Obamas hands. A show of unity that the DNC failed to do, by demeaning and dissing Bill and Hillarys accomplishments now, they recognize them or is it a life of plagerism for Obama , to go back and use notes on Bills successes , Hillary was the best candidate to be vp an earned accomplishments so stop kissing ass when you talk to her alienated supporters that had to endure Pelosi, and Dean and oh my Brazile who drove the race card wedge with Bill.

As of Party Unity, well and the voice of McCain does not know what the people need, neither did the Democratic Senate that has failed to do anything in the last 4 yrs. McCain has proven to be bipartisan, and he hs a record of a conviction on what means to him. Obama has not had a record of doing what is best for the people, Hillary was the best candidate , but I will settle for McCain.

So a show of real unity will be a unity that will voice one vote, one voice Nobama , . Do not be a silent vote for Obama, your vote did not matter before the convention so why should the it matter now, to the DNC, now the chosen One is falling in the polls.

A vote for Obama is a , write in vote, a third party vote, and a stay home vote,, Vote, voice your discontent for the Dnc selecting the unqualified Good ole boy club candidate.

  • vi

I respect Kennedy, but with his life time accomplishments is a distraction and a focus on how little experience Obama has, even Teddy, cannot save the Democratic race.

    • beebop

Ted lost my respect — except to honor his past service — during this past election cycle. Both of his brothers would be ashamed.

      • Kevin

As one of his constituents, I lost all respect for him as he has used every ounce of his power and influence to block the Cape Wind project, using environmental and navigational arguments. He has been doing this for nearly a decade.
        Why?
His view from Hyannis and the fact that he isn’t a regular recipient of donations from the developer.
        Politics as usual.
The project makes sense. The site makes sense.
        Ted doesn’t.

    number of issues addressed? none.

  • Diana

I can’t believe some of the people at the convention. Now, why aren’t these great Patriotic Americans standing up there and saying anything to the guy hanging a foreign flag? Or anything to the people selling T-shirts that call for throwing away the American flag?

Oh that’s right they’re following their fearless leader in what he said about the American flag. What he believes about America.

Good thing I am not there, I’d have already been arrested. I would have already opened my mouth and said, “Don’t like this country? Get out! That is the FLAG OF THIS COUNTRY. It’s going NOWHERE! There are a lot of Americans that have given their lives for each one of those stars.” Disrespectful pieces of %@!^#&@ grrrrrrr This is what these people want for this country? To throw away our past? To get rid of our flag? To disrespect all those that have given all they had to give for this country?

Why don’t we all just lay down our weapons and say who wants to come in and govern us? Russia, China? We don’t mind being Communist and having nothing, being jailed and tortured for nothing. Who cares about our freedoms and the lives that were lost to give us those freedoms! Iran? We don’t mind watching as people are stoned to death. Honor killings are soooooo in! I’m so disgusted by these antics and that the Democratic leaders are condoning it.

I wouldn’t put up with HALF of what other’s here have put up with from Obama supporters. I’d be flying to wherever they are, knocking on their door. NOW THREATEN ME to MY FACE.

There is a HUGE difference between freedom of Speech and bringing a Foreign flag to fly in this country and on this land!!

“ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

(Sorry Nancy that means FOX has just as much right as CBS, ABC, MSNBC, NBC, CNN to exist)

NOW PLEASE tell me where in that amendment you see anything about flying a foreign flag on this land? In this country? That it is OK to do so? PLEASE! Or that it is OK to throw out the American flag in favor of a foreign flag. QUIT with the DISTORTING! TRYING TO TWIST IT TO FIT YOUR OWN AGENDA!

Larry has more courage in his baby pinky standing up for Democracy and this fiasco, then you have in your entire body.

  • TwoTermObama

Tonight some friends and I, a mix of Hillary and Obama supporters, will be getting together to watch what may be the speech of Hillary Clinton’s life. As was the case with Michelle last night, the stakes will be extraordinarily high as A LOT of pressure, coming from all sides, will be placed on the senator. As a woman, it’s not lost on me that the two most important speeches of this convention are delivered by women. I have no doubt, that as Michelle did Monday night, Hillary will knock it out of the park. Despite what some of her barbarian supporters think, Ms. Clinton DOES NOT want another Bush presidency. On all the issues that matter most, healthcare, education, foreign policy, economics, women’s reproductive rights, etc., Hillary and Obama are nearly identicle and the gulf between her politics and McCain’s cannot be erased no matter what wildly distorted, slick advertising campaign is launched by the republicans. As I watch Senator Clinton do this with class and grace, and as I watch the entire convention erupt with enthusiastic support of the woman who made history, the small, anonymous world known as NoQuarter, which no doubt will be buzzing with more speculations of Obama offing Stephanie Jones Tubbs, more jokes about a possible Obama assassination attempt, more comparisons of Michelle Obama to King Kong, will seem that much smaller.

    • cdo

Who are you talking to, I wonder?
Hillary will be great I grant you, she always is.
But I’m not a robot who takes orders from Senator Clinton, or anyone else.
I will vote for the person I decide is best, thanks very much.
As a woman, I am not impressed at all by your candidate and believe Obama, much more than McCain, embodies the shallowness of the Bush presidency.

As for NQ being so small and anonymous, I wonder how it is you found your way here? And once here, why you would bother to post anything?

BTW, calling me a barbarian does little for your cause.
      But thanks for playing.

What section of the Obama “fool those foolish women” manual are you quoting from?

We’re far from stupid in spite of Mr. and Mrs. Obama’s low opinion of voters. “Hillary and Obama are nearly identicle”on the issues – NOT.

I’ve been reading their stand on the issues since they first became candidates and all the flip-flops in between. It’s always been issues; not race, not religion, not gender, not political connections. (although that does not exclude political connections of an illegal nature)

Too much saccharine to fool us into thinking that you really care about what happens to Senator Clinton.

I was a supporter of the best qualified candidate has a democrat voter, Obama is not, and now the experience and a record will get lots and lots of votes 30% such small change of hillary supporters are not voting and bowing down to a DNC that selected an unqualified , terrorist tied candidate. As an American I will vote for experience and record not the word Change, and a choice of all Obama is not for a vp, looks as if this just focus on what Obama lacks in experience. So pretend there are very few of us, but it will grow above 30% by next week, so laugh now, but you will whine oh why oh why did u leave us lol,, NOBama ever.

Oh, so the “speech of Hillary’s life” is the one where she endorses BO?

Sorry, but I can think of many more important ones. Like the one she gave in China where she said that women’s rights are human rights. Like the blistering speeches she has given the GOP Congress when she used their own words against them. Like the speech she delivered on the campaign trail where she stood in the pouring rain, stronger than ever, and lifted her fist and promised to go down swinging–a promise she kept, over and over.

I think those are a lot more important than a pro forma endorsement of a man she knows is her inferior in her every way, but YMMV.

  • Steve1

I caught a small portion of Michelle’s speech, the ending! What I heard was a whole lot of Crack of sh8t! I have never seem such a put-on, phony. Sorry, but I just saw hate dripping from that face. She can’t help herself. I don’t know if it is just me-but that nasal sniff? Am I the only one that heard that???? That is either a major allegry ssituation or that woman sure sounds like she has( or had) a major, up the moise, crack problem….

    • Steve1

      nose

    • CheatedFLVoter

I watched the whole speech. She did quite well at keeping the sweet loving look of her face until she mentioned Hillary and the crowd started cheering. Then I saw that hatred flash in her eyes as she quickly tried to move on. She almost lost it, I was hoping for her to show her true feelings. They will have to lock her up somewhere tonight while Hillary speaks(straight jacket, maybe?).

      • Leisa

Her face seemed frozen… like she had some botox injections to help her keep a “happy face”. It did not feel genuine to me.

I am also bothered by the fuss over making her over. She needs to be true to herself. IMO, by going through these makeovers (making her more white), she is telling black women and children that you still have to be white to succeed in the world.

How does that make her a positive role model for black people?

The whole manufacturing and marketing of this campaign just turns me off. Michele is no “My Fair Lady”… her beleifs are hardened and hiding under the surface of the new gloss painted on her.

I will not purchase this product. The gloss was painted on a poorly primed foundation.

      • Kal

Yes, MO’s reaction to the crowd’s reaction to her mention of Hillary was stunning. To me, it looked like MO was completely stunned that the crowd reacted with so excitement to Hillary’s name. It was clear that it was a wild cheer for Hillary — not a cheer for MO having mentioned Hillary — and it was equally clear that MO felt really scared, unsure of what to do, and unwilling to just let the crowd cheer on.

It was quite the glimpse of how negative MO must feel about Hillary.

And a wonderful display of just how powerfully Hillary moves her party.

  • cdo

No issues affecting the electorate were discussed at the DNC convention last night. Nada, zip, zilch.
Who here is surprised? No one. It is simply a continuation of the vagueness of Obama’s campaign.
As a candidate, Obama offers nothing to voters such as myself. I don’t want hope, I want facts.

Looking at Obama’s polling numbers, I believe he does need my vote.
It is a shame he and his supporters have not made an ounce of effort to try and get it.
That is exactly why they are going to lose in November.

Despite all of the flowery speeches…in the end..Obama found people in distress an gave them Hope.
He is the superman in the Senate…not serving on any committees, even the one he was supposed to chair…managed to “get all of this legislation” passed all by himself.

I don’t know who Jesse Jackson Jr was referring to. His history of Barak Obama doesn’t seem to go with the facts of Barack Obama.

BTW, The Chicago Machine is everywhere. It isn’t “local” and crosses party lines. So don’t be surprised if everyone doesn’t know Tony Rezko or have had dealings with him.

I understand Ted Kennedy wanting to keep the dream alive. But Ted Kennedy has a history of making the dream be alive through action. I also understand that Ted Kennedy wants to see the “dream” carried on by somebody before he dies. Again we come back to substance and I just haven’t seen it in Barack.

The NYT explained everything lucidly today. As long as you read between the lines.
They called it a rift between 2 dynasties.

Hey, the ‘dream’ would never have appeared to have come into existence if Richard Daley hadn’t offered a very big helping hand to JFK. The ‘Chicago’ brand of politics has been around longer than any alleged ‘dream.’ What Kennedy really wishes is that he could have had his appearance of a dream and Kopeckne too.

Dissapointed in the Republican party politics I switched to independent. I supported Hillary Clinton more than I have any republican candidate for fear of another four years. What I’ve seen tolerated and placed before the podium as the next democratic nominee for president has given me an everlasting ulcer. Hillary has been betrayed by her own. I’m disgusted. I’ll vote for McCain and the four years of what he brings than take a chance on a man who’s company he keeps and unspoken politics makes for bad bedfellows. Where’s Hillary? She was the one I wanted. In four years I’ll vote for her if she’ll just get a spine and not put her “support” with a man she sooo obviously does’nt respect nor do I.

    • Zee

ANOTHER troll with THE talking point of the day. HOW many times are you guys going to come in here and blame Hillary for Captain Weenie Barack America’s fear of facing a roll call vote?

Yeah, yeah, you switched to Independent. That’s fine. Hillary is taking another tack because it’s her career. I think she looks beat….after this night we should SUPPORT her and demand Captain Weenie do his own stumping and let Hillary rest and grieve for the loss of her two friends.

Whether you or other republicans or Obamacans or anyone else vote for her in 2012 is your call, but take your cloaked Hillary bashing today and shove it.

It’s underhung Barack America’s time for shame. He can’t face a vote.

      • Tim Klein

        reply to Zee;

Hey DA! Hillary’s not tired, just betrayed by her own and false supporters like you. I manned up to Bush and did the right thing by switching parties. Do your party a favor and switch off. Hilary is being forced to “praise” B.O. because of her financial debt that he’s holding over her head. I think she should take a loss and tell it like it is. People like you, Zee bird brain, should support that. She was meant to be the one.

First for those who are always driving the grammar patrol around this website. My first language is not English, I am American Citizen, and due to my job in doing researches in Latin America and Spain, I am constantly speaking and thinking in Spanish. But I did study and keep striving to be at the level of the command that the English language demands, to qualify for those demanding ‘writers and journalists, detractors’ that regularly visit noquarter. But for now with simple words and phrases I am a voice with the right to express my opinion.

As I said I will express my opinion of what I have seen during this election.

I am very dissapointed at this time with NY Senator Hillary Rodham, she cannot ask me to follow her position in giving my support to that corrupt politician that Obama Hussein is.

I own my vote, I wont’t go an jump off the riff, because a person that gained my respect (the best qualified person for POTUS) for being as I thought sincere, strong, not a puppet, not even acting to secure her seat in the Senate in alas of continuing with approving bills that will better off our lives, to then be asking me to go against my principles if I am really are one of her supporters.

Okay, I was supporting her, yep…’exactly her’, not the unqualified Jr. Sen BHO, I own my mind, I cannot follow blindly a politician, once that person does not represent my values anymore and becomes the shadow of the corrupt politician, she was running against him; that time and time again she told me, he is not qualified. Now suddenly for the good of the party he is the best for the country, BS. No and no, Sen Rodham cannot ask me to behave like she is the Principal Of The School, because if I do not do as she says, I will look like a ‘rebel’…’a person that cannot see or figure out what the real plan is’.

Well then let’s talk clear, if Sen Rodham acts like nice with the DNC to look as she was always in her heart ready to follow party before the ‘cry out for a qualified President’ coming from decent American citizens, in order for her in the future to claim the same to those who might oppose her nomination, in the case ”something unexpected’ happens and both the happy couple of BHO and JB are removed from their positions due to a ‘huge scandal’ and she could be the one to take the lead again and save the DNC, demanding that all those that
supported BHO, now should do like her people, (18 million voters) who were ‘good sports’ and were about to bring BHO to power, now they own her the same support in the name of keeping the unity of the party and to put a democrat in the White House…is that it Sen Rodham?

That’s the plan, that’s the reason for your weird behavior? Please Sen Rodham, think of the moral of those 18 million voters, maybe you as a politician are used to play that way, ‘oh we insult each other and then, we are kissing and hugging’, well we the voters do not see voting for the most important position in the USA, POTUS, as ‘a kiss and forget’ act, as long this person is from the Party. Now in that speech in Denver, to send us the message: “Just don’t ask why and go vote for him, or it will affect my image as a politician.” So, is just like that, what matters is Sen Rodham, that you will continue to be a politician, and need to convince ‘the group that has overtaken the Democratic Party’,that your soul belongs to the DNC, not to the American Citizens? That we are puppets, when you say “yes we will”, we like an echo repeat, then when ‘behind doors the one that you exposed to us as the worst candidate to become president, results at the end that he “defeated you” by cheating with the vote manipulation, where is an expert of’…we must now chant ‘yes we can’?

No, I am not the puppet of anyone…I will fight for what I believe is the best to end with the corruption in politics, sorry if I am not a ‘good sport’! Proud to not be one, after all, in my life I am my own government, the outcome of my life is on me!

Umm…I am sorry, I do not follow that kind of strategy, doing that, will go against my principles; if I have to put someone really qualified in the White House, I am an independent mind, not a puppet, not a fraternity or sorority member, I will vote for the person who qualifies to lead this nation, and I am aware of it too…that maybe my ‘vote’ will end in the garbage.

We work hard to be by your side Sen Rodham, and now you just want from us to ‘forget about it’, and ‘get over it, move forward’ and vote for the darn ‘numb and hungry for power mind of a man with an unstable mind’? That man is sick! And no, I am no se devote to you Sen Rodham and to anyone to ask me to vote for a person that sadly those who are able to do research on the Internet, to communicate with others via the virtual world are shocked with the information the media is trying to hide from us about this man!

What is this a declared war between ‘the Internet Media and the ‘powerful MSM’? The MSM laughing at us because they can control what ‘invented truth’ is reported by them to those with the only mean or access for receiving information is through the manipulated tv, radio, newspapers, books, whatever the reverend, priest, community board, closed friends tell them ‘what the truth about a candidate for being President is?

All the ‘noise’ and he said and she said, was just to make good use of marketing? Your money, your contributions suddenly you realize was thrown away? Selling (all kind of merchandise, events to raise money) buttoms with the logo of your party, the image of your favorite politician, t-shirts, hats, bags, banners, books, articles in magazines, tv hosts screaming, radio talk shows like a ‘mantra’ reciting the same against this or that candidate. Gaining money by betting in this candidate to be the one who will be the next puppet=President?

It is all ‘a show’ where ‘all those involved in the scam…win money’? Whatever part they are playing in this Political Olympics, it seems to be paying off for those involve in the scam?

And then you discover, that they ‘that secret group’ already know who the next President will be, who the next one will be by 2012 and on, and on. And if in the event that in the next passing years ‘the candidate that was chosen to be the President dies’…well let’s just replace it. And the citizens always thinking that we were very important that the goverment was respecting and counting in our -vote- more important The Constitution. Now they already have new technology that will replace us, those that do not vote for the chosen one’, a ghost electronic vote will be suffice.

What a farce this world is, time to unmask it, ah? How can you be part of a group, when you discover, that corruption is taking over the whole planet. No way, I will be for now on, an Independent…umm maybe I have been was always one.

Again is only my opinion, I might be completely wrong but who in this world can say anymore they have the truth when the ‘truth’ has succumbed to manipulation too…

Wishing that Sen Rodham have that conversation again with her inner soul, and come back to us, as an Independen Leader!

“we don’t proofread posts and grammar so don’t worry about that”

Haha yeah the only time they do that is when a semi-sane person posts to this site…

Then what are you doing here. I have read your drivel and you are most decidedly in the Joe Biden camp of being in love with the sound of your own voice!

Please go back to reading your latest copy of ReadyMade magazine and brush up on your lamp re-wiring project.

          • YouGuysAreUnbelievable

“Then what are you doing here.”

I am here because I have a condition. I get a sick joy out of seeing large congregations of idiots wailing on and on about how sorry we should feel for them.
The only known cure for this ailment is to constantly mock and ridicule these wingnut retards.
I am sorry but I guess you’ll just have to put up with it.

Now whatever happened to that video you guys had yesterday with Obama saying we cannot afford Joe Biden?

Surely Fox News has picked it up by now…right?

(man I’m getting hot just dreaming about your next insults…will it be ‘hey idiot’? ‘stupid bot’?)

            • eurogirl70

So you use “wingnut retards” and “congregations of idiots” in your post and yet wonder which insult I will batter you with?

              So not worth it….

              • YouGuysAreUnbelievable

Hahaha come on now…you had no problem with it yesterday. Don’t you remember some of your own choice quotes?:

                “Hey idiot!”

“you are a bitchy little twink”

                Come back and play!!

                • Dr. Kate

isn’t it time to change your diapers? NO words or insults could equal the stink that is coming out of your mouth and your behind.

                  • YouGuysAreUnbelievable

wow, that was pretty weak Doc. I was feelin’ it for a second there, but lost you at the diapers part- talk about regurgitated talking points. You could have at least thrown a “faggot” insult in there somewhere.

Hey, Bud White, thanks for the photos and the narrative.

Here on the coast we’ve been stuck in a thunder and lightening storm for days. Monsoon rains. It’s been pretty intense. Anyway, the way I figure it’s heading towards Denver now and should arrive during that big outdoor speech. Ha!

I watched Ted Kennedy’s speech last night, and was left with the impression he (Kennedy)”adopted” Obama and is shaping him into the next “Kennedy” as potus. Obama is a blank slate-he had no blood relatives at the convention; he is young enough to have years of a political future, he might have to drop basketball for touch football or it could become the new touch football; his VP is from an eastern state–no farm folk from the midwest and not more southern mistakes (e.g.) LBJ and no California movie types (they are in the “entertainment industry”). Obama’s ties to people such as Rezko can be managed as were JFK’s ties to the mob. Obama appears open to a new identity-he needs something more substantial than his own past (which makes him a blank slate). Someone cleaned up Michelle, gave her a “cute” history full of warm, family stories, which will be forgotten soon. She dressed and appeared a bit like Jacky, to remind people of one of the more positive aspects of the Kennedy clan. The entire production, from the presentation of the Kennedy history on film to Ted’s speech to the tears in the eyes of many politicos in the audience-especially Biden’s-was perfectly coordinated. This was not a spur of the moment event. But how does Donna Brazille fit into this? A temporary convenience? Or something larger? This is more than a regular convention. And it is still unfolding.

    • pm317

I watched Ted Kennedy’s speech last night, and was left with the impression he (Kennedy)”adopted” Obama and is shaping him into the next “Kennedy” as potus.

None of the Kennedy progenies have been successful in politics. Obama with no tentacles of his own (in terms of family) is a good candidate for such an adoption — you can get him to share his power with all those younger Kennedys who are successful on their own in the political sphere. All people supporting Obama are using him hoping he will do something for them — that is generally true in politics but more so here that he is the fresh face who may do something for them (unlike the Clintons.)

    • wodiej

What I don’t understand is if the Democratic leaders want to revive and refresh the party, why in the world did they select someone so corrupt?? Most Democrats have been appalled and disgusted by the way George Bush Jr and the Republicans have handled our country in the last several years. They stole the GE, they began a war based on lies, they have given out billions and billions of taxpayer dollars to no bid government/military contracts, some that are connected to VP Cheney, they have abdicated torture, they failed in the relief efforts for Hurrican Katrina…the list goes on and on. So the Obama supporters use all of this as their reason to coronate Obama. But he is JUST LIKE THEM. Hillary was our chance to refresh this party. The only real thing they had against her wasn’t even her, it was Bill getting a blow job in the Oval Office. And frankly, I could care less. That was between him and Hillary. She forgave him, the country can too. For crying out loud, we had the best economy this country had ever seen, peace and prosperity. Congratulations Democratic Party-now you are just as scummy as the Republican party, if not worse. At least they don’t pretend to be anything but what they are. Under the new Obama regime, they act under the front of “hope and change” when really they are just as corrupt.

After the convention, Obama will get a bump in polls. What happens after that will be interesting to say the least.

      • Marjorie

“What I don’t understand is if the Democratic leaders want to revive and refresh the party, why in the world did they select someone so corrupt??”

Hillary is still the one to make the Democratic party a better party. I agree completely. However, Ted Kennedy’s production last night was not just something he did. It was planned and used the Kennedy history. The Kennedy corruption is very different (more personal, quiet, non-intrusive) from the Bush family corruption (seize the oil, more money/power for the rich, average Americans are cannon-fodder, etc.).
Hillary is working against Kennedy family history, which brought tears to the eyes of many. Personally, I prefer Clinton history, which brought income into the pockets of the average American, etc. How can she distinguish herself and become more than the “Kennedy history”?

  • HARP

OK I give up. Obama wins. We can`t compete with this.

    http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2008/08/ok_this_election_is_basically.html

    • wodiej

      LOL…oh my…thanks for the laugh…

  • Marjorie

One more observation: does this mean the Kennedys “are” the Democratic party, have the authority/power to take the political power away from the Republicans and people like Rove, and move politics in the “old-fashioned” direction of the moneyed class shaping society toward more education, health care, etc. (cf. FDR)? Hillary is more FDR than Obama. And according to some reports, Donna Brazille received lessons directly from Rove.

  • DrMK

does anyone know what time hill’s speech is today?

    • JML

I’m in EST and don’t expect it to be until after 10 p.m. here. Sorry can’t be more precise for you.

    All Tied Up

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 44% of the vote while John McCain also earns 44%. When “leaners” are included, it’s still tied with Obama at 46

    • HARP

      Same poll

Clinton continues to get high marks for her conduct since quitting the race for the nomination on June 7, despite a great deal of reported behind-the-scenes intrigue over her speech at the convention and putting her name in nomination. Sixty percent (60%) of voters rate her conduct good or excellent, while only 10% characterize it as poor. Even 52% of Republicans give her good or excellent marks.
Only 34% of African-American voters feel that way, however, and 23% rate her conduct as poor.

      • wodiej

my, my get a candidate w the same skin color and suddenly a loss of memory on who has helped them in the past.

  • harvey

Anyone who endorses and/or campaigns for or votes for Obama also endorses and/or campaigns for and votes for Bill Ayers. Anyone who approves of Bill Ayers should be banned from holding any public office. It is impossible to accomplish any good thing through a bad act or deed and the person who thinks otherwise only lies to themself. The DNC is no longer a representative of American values and what has made America great.

    • Marjorie

“Anyone who endorses and/or campaigns for or votes for Obama also endorses and/or campaigns for and votes for Bill Ayers. You characterize the current political situation as a no-win: Bill Ayers is evil and therefore Obama’s association with him should keep his from office. If Obama is elected, the Democratic party (or the DNC?) no longer represents America. While what you are saying has some truth, it is not the whole picture. Are you suggesting Hillary run as an Independent on a new party ticket? Or should we work with what we have and understand it as best as we can?

    • skepticle

Sorry, but in America, the Constitution and the voters say who can hold public office. We don’t have kommissars like you with the power to “ban” political candidates you don’t like. I know Civics is a weak subject around here, so I offer this lesson free of charge. You’re welcome.

      • harvey

But the constitution does ban “some” people from running for office, especially the presidency. Just consider Swartzeneggar the Califonia governor. Your welcome to the lesson.

      now THAT is the truth!

and many are STILL dying so those brainless unreliable kids (and elite leaf eaters) can dress like evil and re-inact evil events and NOT get strung up or shot!

I just wish they would spend one tenth the time reading all sides and investigating all trues. Or at least VETTING the ones they choose to have total faith in before turning them into an IDOL

  • harvey

The whole picture is , America can’t do bad in order that good may come. Yes I would like to see the Clintons (Hillary in particular) establish another party. If Hillary goes through with endorsing campaigning and voting for Obama and Obama fails– From that day forward anyone who runs against Clinton will always use her endorsement and support of Obama against her. Hillary is in a no win situation as far as the presidency goes, unless by or through some act of god (certainly not H. Dean&Co)or other miracle she should be elected the nominee. If she should win the nomination even now I think it would be difficult for her to win the general. She could win, anything is possible but not probable.

  • DrMK

Thanks for the info JML. I’ll have to have the tv on after 9 PM (I’m in the EST zone too). I don’t want to miss her speech but also don’t want to watch the rest of this convention. i guess i’ll just have it on mute until Hill comes on.

    To Milly:
You don’t need to worry about your grammar, syntax, or anything else. Your brilliant mind and heart come across just fine. You have expressed the thoughts of so many of us who don’t have the words or courage that you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your sincere and eloquent feelings.
I,too, am no longer a Democrat. I don’t recognize this party that is now calling itself Democrat. Or to paraphrase Obama himself – This is not the Democratic Party I knew.
I will be voting for John McCain in November and am doing my utmost to convince all my family and friends to do the same.
    GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Zee

Milly and Lee, nice tries. I see the entire army is out today trying to “win minds and hearts.”

I am voting for McCain, too, unless Captain Barack America is unmasked in time to give us Hillary.

But it’s as a PROTEST vote in order to RECLAIM the Democratic Party.

      • Timmy2step

Zee, I found your vote for McCain refreshing. Yea you called me troll then stepped up to the plate as I . Did you read my comment for you in response to your brief mental loss? Too bad your vote is needed or I’d say do us a favor and stay home. Hilary is going to swallow hard tonight for a trade off of dollars. B.O. is low life scum to not release his list and allow her to receive aid for her personal investment in the campaign, but like everything else he does it comes with his terms and embarassing unconditional surrender.
