Voter Registration in Denver!

images.jpgVoter Registration alive and well in Denver! Several PUMA members were out and about in Denver trying to savor some of the ambiance when they were approached by a group of young people registering voters in Denver. They tried to register this group to vote — all of them are registered voters in other states. The young people never asked where they lived, only if they wanted to register to vote.

These PUMAs caught up with me in between gigs….excited and confused, they needed to tell me the story of voter registration in Denver. These ladies poliely declined to re-register but asked a question of these young people. They asked, where are these voter registration forms going….. the answer: MoveOn.org!

They have endorsed Obama and promised to mobilize their members on Obama’s behalf.

Why are voter registration forms being sent to MoveOn.org?

Five kids, the last one born with Downes Syndrome. First term Governor (which makes her the only person running that has executive experience.
      For McCain, she’s a great choice.

      She’s 44 years old but before the Obots jump ugly, the VP only has to be 35, a natural born citizen, lived in the US for 14 years and not be constitutionally ineligible. Qualified in every way.

              As a Republican woman, I will take issue with your comment. However, I have never been beholden to being a single issue voter because I’m a female. I have other concerns as do most Americans that vote.

              If this election cycle is truly historic, it is because Americans are learning that neither party is speaking to the majority of us.

                Thanks! I was about to jump in and raise hell about that very bigoted statement. If we, who sit here and bemoan the FACT that the party was stolen, are to CHANGE things, we had better pull our own heads out and quit thinking like our stupid leaders.
                We are all Americans first. PUMA has taken a stand on its knowledge that our political system needs saving. To save it we need to embrace the simple truth that it truly does take ALL kinds to make the nation great.
                If we need to get over anything, it is this irrational bigotry which separates the two parties.
                Two to Tango, opposite sides of the same coin, “celebrate the differences” all comes to one thing.
                If YOU are to have the right to bear your own opinion, be it on war, abortion, or the economy just to name a few, it is VITAL to not only allow the other guy his opinion, it is vital to defend it. How can you ask for help and support for your ideals when you would deny this to others because of personal bigotry.
                Maturity comes from understanding that each of us has formed our opinions based on our life experiences. We are what shaped us.
                I choose to respect and DEFEND my sisters and brothers here even when I disagree with them. I saw what was happening to my friends and their lives by watching this sonofabitch steal a political party.
                Those of you who have read my blatherings over the past months pretty much know where I stand.
                I’d rather fight a lost cause and die with my teeth in your leg than give up on anything.
                I have seen what has been done to my nation and the Democratic party, and DESPITE what I personally believe, have chosen this battle because justice for you guys has been summarily stolen. It is stolen from us all. We must all cross whatever personal baggage “Aisle” separates us from each other and allow each other our basic right to our own opinions.
                Mutual respect is how this is done.
                Lets unite under the cause of Freedom… its why this country exists.

        Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC said “my sources say that Governor Palin is still in Alaska and cannot be Senator McCain’s choice for VP.” Better get some better sources Andrea, the ones you’ve got suck! Andrea now says that Palin has a state ethics charge hanging over her head and she was informed that the charges comes from her firing a state trooper because he beat his wife. (I think the troopers wife is/was Palin’s sister. Doesn’t matter to me because if true, she should have used her hunting rifle on his sorry ass.

        From the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

        The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections says it is investigating an organization that registers low-income voters after it turned up evidence of voter registration fraud.

        The board doesn’t know how many fake registrations came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. But the board says multiple ACORN workers often handed in voter registration cards listing the same people, but showing them living at different addresses.

        The board says an ACORN quota requiring part-time workers to sign up 20 voters per five-hour shift played a role. The organization stopped the registration by the part-timers on Aug. 15.

        Officials don’t expect fraudulent registrations to affect the November election because of requirements that voters must show identification at the polls. ACORN says it has registered 86,000 new voters in the Cleveland area.

They need to take this moveon.org to the ethic committee and stop it before November. But, they are letting the thugs liberals run our country.       Requests have been made to investigate ACORN at the House Financial Committee. Barney Frank(D-MA) is the chairman. He refuses to investigate groups like ACORN despite regular challenges by Republican sitting members. It is the Democrats who are stopping the take down of ACORN and La Raza and all the others!

I also would be willing to bet with all his billions that he owns or has a controlling interest in several Media forms. well at least if John McCain loses in November he knows where to start looking…but we PUMAs and the Clintons should have a vested interest in this, as well. I saw we form a class action law suit against the DNC.

    I was a very active member of moveon.org until they picked Obama over Hillary and I told them to stuff it and I wanted my money back as with the DNC. I think there is going to be alot of fraud in the GE. We all know how Obama plays politics in Chicago and the caucuses in the primary. Of course we know about the election of 2000 and 2004. Bush got away with it so Obama thinks he can too. I just heard McCain’s VP might be Governor of Alaska. I don’t know too much about her.

      These guys have the motive, the means, and the opportunity:

      Motive – win at any cost
      Means – Obama’s legions of techno-hackers who’ve already shown they can hack into web sites
      Opportunity – Obama minions move into sleepy little voting stations (typically run by aged volunteers)

      Don’t forget that the fox is guarding the henhouse in this regard, as the very people who pushed hardest for voting machine reform are now Obama supporters. BTW, has anyone heard from that group lately? With an election coming up, they should be all over the media.

    If Mccain wanted to win this race- he should have chosen a minority person. Instead he will pick a holy roller to add to the list. We are religious group but when it comes to the mood of the people- we don’t hinder them into our direction- and that is what Mccain needed to do- get someone who appeals to the central and conservative. If he gets another “white straight bible hopping man” – he will not have a chance in hell to win over this evildoer, Obama. The people don’t want to run a religious campaign anymore- the evangils have to put their demands aside for this elections and let him pick somebody that can appeal to the central.       I think you are wrong 30 year Democrat – I think Hillary did everything she could do. It breaks my heart what all she endured in this primary. She had no choice. I wrote to her and ask to please have a roll call vote. Don’t let them take from you and I will back you whatever you choose to do – and I do. I’m hoping for 2012 but it might not be. I am so angry that I left a party that I loved to become an Independent. I became a Democrat at 14 years old after meeting Bobby Kennedy at my school in l964. I volunteer for his campaign in l968. The day I graduated from high school he was killed. I have not been inspired since until Hillary started running for President. There is no way in h__ I’m voting for Obama. Too many reasons to list.

      We do have a right to choose. We also should respect our bodies and do everything we can to protect ourselves from unplanned pregnancy–my suggestion? Birth control. If you can’t get BC in America in 2008 you must be living in a cave in the middle of nowhere.
      Also you would have more of a valid argument about the equal pay if your guy, BO, were paying his female staffers what he pays his males…McCain does.       It has to do with a length of time a person, man or woman, has to file a complaint.

      I differ with Repubs in that I am pro choice, but the law should apply equally to everyone over 18.

Obama had a laundry list of tax and spend programs in his speech last night – all of which will be lining the pockets of his criminal cronies paid for with what money from which Americans? The DNC has totally lost it’s collective mind! Nancy Pelosi and company need to go! They totally blew the big show by not having the Blue Angels fly over!

      Notice, too, that they dispensed with the Pledge of Allegiance and the opening prayer LONG before Obama was scheduled to arrive. Thus no messy questions about whether he would put his hand over his heart or who HIS spiritual leader might be.

    It was me who was out and about walking down the 16th Street Mall of Denver when I approached one of these young men who were asking people to register to vote.

    I pointed out that he didn’t have any kind of official ID indicating on whose behalf he was gathering voters. Then I asked him, “where do you take these voter registration forms to?” He answered, “MoveOn”.

    Folks, this is why we must vote in mass for McCain! The obama camp is already preparing to game the system with these new registered voters.

    ALSO, OFF TOPIC. HAS ANYONE HEARD THAT MCCAIN MAY BE PICKING THE GOVERNOR OF ALASKA, SARAH PALIN, FOR HIS VP?

    ABC News’ Kate McCarthy Reports: As vice presidential speculation swirls, Gov. Sarah Palin is watching the fireworks from her home in Wasilla, Alaska.

    Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., is in Dayton, Ohio, awaiting a high noon event at which the campaign has said the Republican contender will announce his running mate.

    All eyes are on a short list of contenders including Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, former Govs. Mitt Romney and Tom Ridge, Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., and Palin.

    But the possibility of a surprise pick also looms as the McCain camp remains mum at this hour about just who will be joining their candidate on stage in battleground Ohio.

    The voter fraud seems prevalent. The laws should be changed so that voter registration has to be done with ID and proof of address confirmation. That’s what was required of me when I registered at the Sec of State’s office. It’s really surprising that organizations other than Secretary of State type offices can even register voters. Wonder who passed laws that allowed this?

      Here in Florida we have to show picture ID. They won’t even take voter registration cards. And wherre I was not one electronic voting machine. I think we should stand 50 feet from the poll and have a sign telling people to only use paper ballots.

      In Indiana they passed a law a few years ago that you have to show photo ID to vote and they match up your signature also to the registration books they have. They don’t play games here. They said it is to avoid voter fraud. Dem’s of course cried and whined and said it would disenfranchise the poor and elderly. First of all, everyone needs to have at least a photo ID card. You need it for lots of things including cashing checks, applying for benefits, a job, etc. So their argument was stupid. They even allow people to get a photo ID free if they can’t afford the $6 fee. If you don’t have photo ID your main concern probably isn’t about voting.

    The truly brilliant move by McCain is his “valentine ad” congratulating obama before kicking him off the front page today with what is looking to be a major slap in the face to the obama camp and the DNC for their treatment of Hillary.

    Furthermore, obama can’t use the excuse that McCain attacked him on his great day for political expediency.

    If McCain does choose Palin or even Whitman, it will be very interesting to see how the media treats a republican woman running on a national ticket.

Anyway, name the last Republican female in any office that was given anywhere near the treatment Clinton or any Dem. candidate (except the One) has been given. I can’t name one. I can’t see it happening, the sexist stuff being done to Republican woman by the MSM. I wait to be corrected.

      Yes, but I wish they’d pull back the camera and show how many people are there. The close up view looks like about 100 people. Actually it’s a huge crowd.

      McCain needs to control his message like Obama does — I suspect that every camera shot at the Greek Theatre last night went through the Obama filter before getting to a media outlet.

    As I said above, it was something about a vendetta – getting someone fired. I don’t know how it turned out and I don’t know the facts.

    My point was – I found it when I googled her name and mentioned it as a drawback to her running as VP.

    If I can find it in one general search, don’t you think the Obamites will find it and use it even if it is baseless?

    Gee whiz – I have been coming here for a long time to find comfort in those who think like me and to be able to speak out for Hillary and against Obama and his nefarious activities. And most especially to speak out for democracy!

    Now I’m being attacked?!

    I will never vote for Obama but I do care who I vote for. I have no problem with McCain, except some of his positions. If I can’t vote for Hillary, I want to vote for someone with integrity. I want to be sure not to vote for someone who is like Obama. I want to know who I am voting for.

    I am not attacking Palin. I don’t know anything about her except her stand on some of the issues. I want to learn about her.

    And I care McCain makes the right choice to beat Obama!

    That being said, if you doubt my stance and sincerity, read all my previous posts.

    I am leaving for today because I do not feel welcome. It makes me said because I felt I found a place with people of like mind. People who love democracy and supported Hillary as the person to protect democracy and give us the best future we can have.
    People who oppose Obama because of all the reasons we have all listed over the last few months.

    Heather, no. I do not believe we will have to be dragged back through the vicious misogyny because the powers-that-be will have learned how to combat it from the disasterous dem primary. I believe the RNC will come to her defense as it has been pointed out continuously that Howard Dean and all the other major DNC and dem leadership should have done for Hillary, but chose to look the other way.

    How humiliating for the DNC and dems everywhere to have the REPUBLICANS defend women! I’m telling you, this is a major feat for women. We could not have asked for all our issues to be hung out any better than this. It could have taken 50 more years!

    While there are plenty of pro-choice republicans, she and most repubs are pro-life. But, remember, on the other side is choice. Choice INCLUDES pro-life. There is not a pro-choice woman alive who would not go to the wall for the right of a woman NOT to have an abortion if that was her CHOICE. Women have to learn to work together for the good of all.

    Well McCain is late and it’s looking pretty lame down there. They brought out “McCain cheerleaders” and it was terrible. It looks like they have no backup entertainment for this event. “Ordinary American” is fine, but the contrast between this and Stevie Wonder at Mile High Stadium could not be sharper. Thankfully, most people are at work and won’t see it. But the snide obamabots who worship glitz will be having a field day. McCain needs to hire a media consultant, and pronto.
