Mike Malloy and Randi Rhodes are two radio people on the left who are maybe somewhat equal to Beck and Limbuagh if you consider Rush and Limbaugh to be two people who just are screamers and not capable of debate or critical thought.  If you like Beck and Limbaugh, then they are not comparable. Malloy and Rhodes are definitely screamers though.

I was listening to Hugh Hewitt the other night and he said that Donny Deutsch was kicked off a MSNBC or CNBC show he was temporarily filling in on b/c he didn’t efficently defend Hewitt calling out Olbermann as a far out left quack.

Was is it with MSNBC taking such strides to protect Olbermann?

Oh and as I’ve pointed out a few times but just can’t help myself b/c it still kind of shocks me constantly.. Keith Olbermann dated Laura Ingraham.

There is a huge difference between Limbaugh and the people you quote. The MSNBC shows largely talk about facts and logic and demonstrate with real live examples and bring on knowledgeable guests to argue theie points and to show what the far right is doing and saying. Completely different than Limbaugh who has no real substantial guests, rarely talks about facts and is rarely logical. He is just a 100% windbag that throws out is random insulting thoughts. Again there is a huge difference.

I think what Walsh was trying to do was to get Scarborough to say the comparision is the other MSNBC hosts, so she could argue, as I do above, that they are completely different than Limbaugh and the other fact less far-right commentators, but Scarborough was too stupid to understand this or did not want to take the bait.

First of all, MSNBC is a 24/7 news channel, with left wing commentary. Rush is a radio personality/commentator who is on the air 15 hours a week – and blows MSNBC away in listeners. Completely different format, and vehicle. And perhaps if MSNBC gave up their obsession with FOX news, and actually reported the news, without the bias, they wouldn’t be losing to the cartoon channel in ratings.

I fact check Rush every time someone on the left says he “said”something controversial, and it’s so funny how it is ALWAYS taken out of context and/or edited to make it seem offensive. Not to mention his daily “Media Tweak of the Day” where he intentionally puts something out there to watch the Left launch their faux outrage. I am not a Rushy, but for the left to say they don’t have anyone on the left that “spews hate” like Beck or Limbaugh is total BS. And MSNBC hosts a whole gaggle of them. 

You obviously don’t listen to MSNBC without your liberal goggles. FOX has FAR better debate, and presents both sides all the time. MSNBC holds debate too-  Left versus center-left. 

Scarborough didn’t reply to Joan because he has already been scolded for reprimanding precious Olbermann for his hate speech directed at Scott Brown. 

Everybody knows that when anybody from Hollywood takes on any cause, then the rest of us should just throw our entire belief system out the window and blindly follow them. After all, they are demigods. Everybody in Hollywood is. =-O

No one really knows what Limbaugh’s ratings really are and it is hard to compare ratings for an AM radio show that is on many many radio stations across the country and in some cases Limbaugh is the only game in town. MSNBC is not on that many cable systems, particularly in the first tier of channels. Their potential audience reach is much smaller than both Limbaugh and FOX. And to compare MSNBC and FOX ratings is a bit bullshit as well. Not only is MSNBC on far fewer basic cable offerings, but FOX has a bigger audience because it has cornered the right-wing market. MSNBC is more centerist so it likely splits it viewers with CNN, ABC, CBS, etc.

MSNBC’s ratings are actually pretty good. They came out of no where and in a very short period of time have build some very solid ratings, particularly for the younger audience, which is the one the advertiser care the most about. FOX has cornered the white haired crowd.

The Obama adminstration passed 35 separate tax cuts or tax rebates in one form or another. The stimulus bill was the singe biggest one time tax cut in history. Go read the bill. 95% of Americans got a tax cut in 2009. By the way, who cares about taxes. Most people in this country actually think the level of taxes they pay is just fine and this country pays far less taxes than every other industrialized country in the world. Taxes are a non-issue.

Not sure what bills you are talking about passing in secret. You have not idea how govt and passing bills works. What exactly would you like to see done different in the process?
