Obama, Again, Exhibits Zero Class [Update: Unlike Obama, Governor Palin Visited Our Wounded Troops in Germany]

UPDATE #2: Governor Palin has completely captured the limelight. I can’t even remember who I heard speak last night. I just heard her talk to ME. Both she AND John McCain mentioned this week’s celebration of women’s suffrage today. That other guy last night? He didn’t utter a single word about women’s suffrage week, let alone women’s fights for equality and fair treatment, or sexism. I also heard Governor Palin honor Hillary Clinton’s historic candidacy and her vow to HELP us women finally shatter that “glass ceiling.”

“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.
Barack Obama has just “dissed” all small-town voters.
Barack Obama has just “dissed” all voters who live in rural areas.
And Barack Obama has pointed to one of his own greatest vulnerabilities — HIS lack of foreign policy experience, so little that he was forced to select Joe Biden as his running mate.
UPDATE: And, Barack Obama — unlike you who skipped the opportunity in Germany when you found out you couldn’t bring the press along for a photo op — Governor Sarah Palin has actually VISITED THE WOUNDED SOLDIERS at LANDSTUHL in Germany [Photo from Wikipedia, and thanks to PatRacimora for pointing out this photo to me. The CAPTION reads: "Governor Palin visits a wounded soldier in Landstuhl, Germany, July 2007."]

Barack Obama has just displayed his ARROGANCE — his staff members are saying they are “thrilled” with the selection — i.e., that Gov. Palin, the mother of five children including a Downs syndrome infant, will be easy pickings.
Here’s the full Obama statement, via Mark Halperin’s The Page blog … along with a SPECIAL NOTE for our REV. AMY:
“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same,” said Bill Burton, Obama Campaign Spokesman.
As all of you regular readers know, Reverend Amy is NOT too happy with her own House member, Rep. James Clyburn. Here’s what Clyburn told the media today about Gov. Palin:
Also: Rep. Clyburn calls the Palin choice “very risky,” and equates the choice to Dan Quayle.
“I just think that it is very risky for McCain to do this, but it may be all he has left.”
All he has left?
John McCain and Hillary Clinton each brought a wealth of experience to their campaigns. All your candidate has, Rep. Clyburn, is a “speech he gave in 2002.”
