Thurman is 99 + 1

This is really a compliment to Nancy’s earlier article.
But she ain’t one of them..
Pucker up baby.
Next time I hear the word Bitch, know this. I have five sisters who would like you to meet their brother at a quiet table, NOW! I have a few choice words for you to deliver to one of your supporters.
I have been thinking all day about how I should respond to the first official state party statement published on Sarah Palin. It is Saturday afternoon and it just hit me. The single character word “i” is why I could not break through and find a way to respond.
I was thinking about me. I was so excited about Palin being selected that I was offended that any man, woman or child would object to such an historic event. I was confused.
I was I.
I want this year’s political presidential campaign to be about me, my kids, my house, my little rural hometown. I want it to be about my nephew who is in the service. I want it to be about my mother who retired without benefits. I want it to be about us.
I know that is awfully selfish. I care about Malik Obama, your brother in Kenya and I hope we can send him some money soon. But I care about me first. I care about what will make me happy, not just satisfied. I can be a satisfied magnanimous individual all I want, once I have taken care of my own. That, in my opinion is not selfish. It is a basic principle of survival. You cannot reach out until you have reached within. Take care of your own house first.
From the above you may draw a conclusion about my state of mind. I am mindful of the fact that many of us are selfish and, when we are able to break through our angst in times of need, we are sometimes mindful of others. Sometimes our need to satisfy “I” are not constricted to being a contributor to our blood family. Sometimes “I” is an element in an extended group, like a political party. Or, as someone once said: “It takes a Village.”
As it evolves, however, the party of many “I”s can often become as dysfunctional as a family created from fourteen divorces.
I’ll fight my sister at home. But, if you attack her on the street I will fight you. I understand affinity. I understand that party loyalty is almost as strong as family. But I can’t find any excuse for anyone, no matter how conflicted they are about their own current affairs, attacking a woman for being a woman. Shame on you, you silly little ….
There. The line is drawn. Cross that line and you are no longer my family.
Congressman Thurman, consider yourself excommunicated from “The Order of Those Who Love America, and For All for Which She Stands.”

Why dear fellow, you may ask, would one toss out such a hard stick at this person – A Congresswoman? The answer is simple. She sent out an email to all Florida democrats that will go down in my book as the most tasteless morsel of vile excrement ever shoveled by a member of the esteemed lower body of our legislature.
She, Congressman Thoughtless, deserves to be vilified. Here is her pissy message.
Dear Friends,
John McCain rolled the dice with his VP pick today – in an attempt to woo women voters.
But we cannot gamble with women’s lives.
Don’t let your friends, family and co-workers be fooled: Alaskan Sarah Palin is a dangerous right-winger who lacks the judgment to lead.
I want you to pay attention to the next lines. Buchanan thanks Sarah for her support in 1992 – 96. This idiot should not be in government if she does not even know in what year she is living.
In 2000, Palin endorsed Pat Buchanan for President. Yes, that Pat Buchanan.
In 2006, Palin ran for Alaska Governor on a message of change – and then turned out to be just another corrupt Alaska politician who’s now under investigation in her own state.
Yes. She is investigating a man who tazered his own step son. The statement that this child was a full-blown 11 year old who “asked for it” should have no bearing on the fact that some men are maniacs. And I guess the investigations she launched against oil companies and her position on the Stevens matter will just be ignored by you, you ignorant putz.
On her next line I have little to say
She’s no Hillary Clinton. She’s Dan Quayle in a dress.
I thought the “skirt” issue was off the table. Please. Will the real feminists allow me to provide a virtual air-slap to this sorry excuse for a woman, right now?
And this:
Women voters who care about equal rights, choice, family and other issues, will not see a partner in Palin.
Equal rights?! Where were you when Floridians’ votes were not tallied last spring? What post were you offered to keep your mouth shut? – Sorry. Mac won’t give you one and Sarah is not for sale.
Oh. Yes. In case you missed it. Her letter was just a chance to get your money. You know.. the stuff you like to keep in your pocket. She wants it.

Barack Obama is ready to lead. Last night he showed us what the next American President will look like. He and Joe Biden will deliver change we need.
I’ll tell you what the next American president will look like. He will look like the person I would trust with my kids. He/She will be a mother/father figure that is not a figment of our imagination.
Our next president will be a real president.
I am so glad that calling you a member of Congress will soon be a thing of the past.
I can honestly say this. I do not like you.
Check with Jesse. I think he took from Oinky something you need to complete your transformation.
