Thurman is 99 + 1

This is really a compliment to Nancy’s earlier article.

But she ain’t one of them..

o_pucker.jpg

Pucker up baby.

Next time I hear the word Bitch, know this. I have five sisters who would like you to meet their brother at a quiet table, NOW! I have a few choice words for you to deliver to one of your supporters.

I have been thinking all day about how I should respond to the first official state party statement published on Sarah Palin. It is Saturday afternoon and it just hit me. The single character word “i” is why I could not break through and find a way to respond.

I was thinking about me. I was so excited about Palin being selected that I was offended that any man, woman or child would object to such an historic event. I was confused.

I was I.

I want this year’s political presidential campaign to be about me, my kids, my house, my little rural hometown. I want it to be about my nephew who is in the service. I want it to be about my mother who retired without benefits. I want it to be about us.

I know that is awfully selfish. I care about Malik Obama, your brother in Kenya and I hope we can send him some money soon. But I care about me first. I care about what will make me happy, not just satisfied. I can be a satisfied magnanimous individual all I want, once I have taken care of my own. That, in my opinion is not selfish. It is a basic principle of survival. You cannot reach out until you have reached within. Take care of your own house first.

From the above you may draw a conclusion about my state of mind. I am mindful of the fact that many of us are selfish and, when we are able to break through our angst in times of need, we are sometimes mindful of others. Sometimes our need to satisfy “I” are not constricted to being a contributor to our blood family. Sometimes “I” is an element in an extended group, like a political party. Or, as someone once said: “It takes a Village.”

As it evolves, however, the party of many “I”s can often become as dysfunctional as a family created from fourteen divorces.

I’ll fight my sister at home. But, if you attack her on the street I will fight you. I understand affinity. I understand that party loyalty is almost as strong as family. But I can’t find any excuse for anyone, no matter how conflicted they are about their own current affairs, attacking a woman for being a woman. Shame on you, you silly little ….

There. The line is drawn. Cross that line and you are no longer my family.

Congressman Thurman, consider yourself excommunicated from “The Order of Those Who Love America, and For All for Which She Stands.”
thurman.jpg
Why dear fellow, you may ask, would one toss out such a hard stick at this person – A Congresswoman? The answer is simple. She sent out an email to all Florida democrats that will go down in my book as the most tasteless morsel of vile excrement ever shoveled by a member of the esteemed lower body of our legislature.

She, Congressman Thoughtless, deserves to be vilified. Here is her pissy message.

Dear Friends,

John McCain rolled the dice with his VP pick today – in an attempt to woo women voters.

But we cannot gamble with women’s lives.

Don’t let your friends, family and co-workers be fooled: Alaskan Sarah Palin is a dangerous right-winger who lacks the judgment to lead.

I want you to pay attention to the next lines. Buchanan thanks Sarah for her support in 1992 – 96. This idiot should not be in government if she does not even know in what year she is living.

In 2000, Palin endorsed Pat Buchanan for President. Yes, that Pat Buchanan.

In 2006, Palin ran for Alaska Governor on a message of change – and then turned out to be just another corrupt Alaska politician who’s now under investigation in her own state.

Yes. She is investigating a man who tazered his own step son. The statement that this child was a full-blown 11 year old who “asked for it” should have no bearing on the fact that some men are maniacs. And I guess the investigations she launched against oil companies and her position on the Stevens matter will just be ignored by you, you ignorant putz.

On her next line I have little to say

She’s no Hillary Clinton. She’s Dan Quayle in a dress.

I thought the “skirt” issue was off the table. Please. Will the real feminists allow me to provide a virtual air-slap to this sorry excuse for a woman, right now?

And this:

Women voters who care about equal rights, choice, family and other issues, will not see a partner in Palin.

Equal rights?! Where were you when Floridians’ votes were not tallied last spring? What post were you offered to keep your mouth shut? – Sorry. Mac won’t give you one and Sarah is not for sale.

Oh. Yes. In case you missed it. Her letter was just a chance to get your money. You know.. the stuff you like to keep in your pocket. She wants it.

Help us fight for these issues by electing Democrats up and down the ticket. Click here to donate today:

Barack Obama is ready to lead. Last night he showed us what the next American President will look like. He and Joe Biden will deliver change we need.

I’ll tell you what the next American president will look like. He will look like the person I would trust with my kids. He/She will be a mother/father figure that is not a figment of our imagination.

Our next president will be a real president.

I am so glad that calling you a member of Congress will soon be a thing of the past.

I can honestly say this. I do not like you.

Check with Jesse. I think he took from Oinky something you need to complete your transformation.

That investigation bit is something they really should let go. It’s like the Dems are waving a white flag. Anyone that learns what that issue is about will side with Palin. What? Are they hoping independants aren’t going to look at the details?

  • http://mccaindemocrats.wordpress.com/ 30yrdem-not any more

I am sick of this name calling and blame gaming..

I have had family in and I get on and find out she is being drug through the mud…KOS is out of there minds..

I like her, I think she is great, Oh and the family went nuts….they are all so excited…everyone has been calling everyone…all are happy with Palin..then the dems trash her like this…I am glad I left that party.

  • JohninCA

We’ll be seeing a lot of this. These people are scoundrels afraid of losing an election, their gravy train and welfare empires. It’s about power, nothing more.

Whether they sincerely believe their talking points I don’t know, but they’re desperate to define Palin now, before she destroys them. If she were really all that lightweight, they wouldn’t be so afraid of her.

  • blog force one

These people are are serious trouble! the obommunist party no longer resembles the Democratic party I have voted for all of my life> it is now a goon squad of internet Obama bots who attack everyone who has not taken part in the kool Aid ceremony ! who are her constituents? We need to make sure they have the opportunity to turn her sorry ass out. As my own pig of a stepfather used to say “I’ll give you something to cry about” (re that photo)

Good question asking what she was promised – I look forward to seeing these folks go down in flames.

Doesn’t she realize she is making the McCain campaign’s next ad – “Democrats – the party of misogyny” pictures of Gerri, Hillary, Cynthia, etc. Then cut to Sarah Palin accepting the VP nomination with voiceover of Hillary’s response to her selection.

Good move, Ds. I’m probably voting McKinney, but as a member of the Sisterhood, this just makes my skin crawl.

  • katmandu

The guy (Wooten, the trooper)not only tased his stepson, but threatened to kill the Palin sisters’ father who wanted to hire a lawyer to protect his daughter from her soon-to-be ex-husband. (At 35, he’s now been divorced 4 times.) It is unbelievable that Wooten had not been fired long before, having received 7 reprimands from his superiors for inappropriate conduct.

I went to McCain’s site and saw Sarah Palin speaking. She’s really down to earth, honest… even if I don’t agree with her on everything, I can relate to this woman. McCain made a really great choice in my opinion!

And she didn’t even need a teleprompter! (Just so all you Obama backers are aware!)

Here is a link to that stupid investigation of Sarah Palin which shouldn’t even be taking place:

    http://www.floppingaces.net/2008/08/29/palins-troopergate-beating-msm-distortions-to-the-truth/#comment-108461

It’s a non-issue. Sarah’s ex-brother-in-law (a State Trooper) is a pig who is a wife beater, adulterer, threatened to shoot his father-in-law with a fu**** bullet in the head if he helped her hire a divorce lawyer, and tasered his 11 year old step-son in front of Sarah’s daughter. The guy admitted to all of it and was suspended for five days!

These events took place a full 2 1/2 years before the guy who got fired complained that pressure was put on him to fire the State Trooper. Guess who leading the charge to investigate Palin? The guy who ran against her for Governor and lost.

    Sour grapes anyone?

  • Julia

    You are a little bit…harsh

  • Katmoon

I’d love to see some slander suits, the filthy pigs. It’s one thing to be politically opposed and an entire different thought process to post the filth that comes from the supporters of god knows what. How can anyone even claim to support a candidate and spew this type of filth?

  • Bell’Artista

I don’t know what happened to the Democrats……when I was one they seemed to be an affable bunch who were the people it was fun to hang out with and who cared about all people and animals and civil rights and ethics.

Now they are niggardly, peevish, cranky, cruel, stupid, small minded, racist, age-ist, misognstic, kind of stupid and lacking in empathy.
    What on earth happened?

I actually read that Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a MILF!
If you don’t know what that means just google it.

people act like barack’s speech was soooo great.
    he royally pissed me off.

    for his to say this:

To President Clinton, who last night made the case for change as only he can make it

when earlier in the campaign he was saying that clinton didn’t bring about change…xoxoReaganxoxo did.

    then this:

Four years ago, I stood before you and told you my story – of the brief union between a young man from Kenya and a young woman from Kansas who weren’t well-off or well-known, but shared a belief that in America, their son could achieve whatever he put his mind to.

well-known? what’s that supposed to mean?

barack’s dad took off without him and his mother. he had no belief in america -except getting a good education to go back to kenya with. barack jr had no contact with his father. how does he know what his father believed his son could achieve? barack sr moved off, married another woman, then off to kenya…never looking back. i do feel for barack on that subject, honsetly i do. but if he’s going to complain about AA men not living up to their repsonibilities of being a father, then he shouldn’t praise his own father and write a book about him.

    and this:

Why else would he define middle-class as someone making under five million dollars a year?

he didn’t say that was middle class, he said that was rich. dumbass.

discredited Republican philosophy – give more and more to those with the most and hope that prosperity trickles down to everyone else.

don’t let that quote fool you. he loves reagan and praises him all the time.

We measure progress in the 23 million new jobs that were created when Bill Clinton was President – when the average American family saw its income go up $7,500 instead of down $2,000 like it has under George Bush.

you mean Bill Clinton, the racist? Bill Clinton, the man your wife wants to claw the eyes out of? POS!!!

Because in the faces of those young veterans who come back from Iraq and Afghanistan, I see my grandfather, who signed up after Pearl Harbor, marched in Patton’s Army, and was rewarded by a grateful nation with the chance to go to college on the GI Bill.

shocker! he’s talking about his grandfather. the man that was around while his poor struggling grandmother raised him. his grandparents raised him. his grandfather moved to hawaii to get a better job. so i assume his grandfather also worked, or was well enough off to retire early.

I think about my mom, who raised my sister and me on her own while she worked and earned her degree; who once turned to food stamps but was still able to send us to the best schools in the country with the help of student loans and scholarships.

from what i’ve read, she came back to hawaii in 1974 & left again 3 years later. how is that raising him?

then the kicker that really pissed me off:

I think about my grandmother, who worked her way up from the secretarial pool to middle-management, despite years of being passed over for promotions because she was a woman.

your grandmother was the first woman VP of a bank in hawaii. don’t belittle it by calling it “middle management”.

She’s the one who put off buying a new car or a new dress for herself so that I could have a better life. She poured everything she had into me. And although she can no longer travel, I know that she’s watching tonight, and that tonight is her night as well.

again, why don’t you talk about your grandfather? he was there until 1992. did he not make any sacrifces for your ass?

And just as we keep our keep our promise to the next generation here at home, so must we keep America’s promise abroad. If John McCain wants to have a debate about who has the temperament, and judgment, to serve as the next Commander-in-Chief, that’s a debate I’m ready to have.

    we all know that’s bs!

  • Eastan McNeal

MrMike. I see the single word has been dropped.

Other than that the tone is deserved, think.

  • JohninCA

I believe it’s the pursuit of power over such trifles as human decency.

I am outraged and disgusted with so called “democrats” posting photoshopped pornography cartoons about Palin. They are meant to demean her and all women and to reduce our power. This is not my Democratic party. We didn’t do that to Condi Rice, Laura Bush, etc. Democrats don’t act this way, we would never have condoned this kind of behavior 4 years ago.

That’s a great letter you wrote.

The DNC can KMA. I’ll not be fear mongered and lectured about women’s rights by a party that couldn’t even speak out against sexism and who’s supporters currently thinks it cute to demean Palin by placing her in pornographic positions.

  • katmandu

    Credentials alert–

According to Fred Barbash’s article on Palin’s inexperience: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0808/13001.html

“I think she is the most inexperienced person on a major party ticket in modern history,” said presidential historian Matthew Dallek.

Dallek used to be a speechwriter for Dick Gephardt. He also wrote speeches for William Kennard, a Democrat who chaired the FCC under Clinton, under a patronage appointment. His resume looks like he’s mostly unemployed.
    http://www.wilsoncenter.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=sf.profile&person_id=274712

He did write one book, on Reagan. His project at the Wilson Center has little or nothing to do with presidential politics – it’s on American civil defense. Hardly a presidential scholar in my book.

  • jrterrier

I am still disgusted by the sham roll call that the DEMS put on. Hillary rightfully won more than 1400 pledged delegates but received fewer than 400, with a number of states where she trounced Obama voting for him. In the past, including in 2004 with Kucinich and in 1972 with Jackson all their pledged delegates were allowed to vote as the voters of their states voted. But I have seen nothing on this.

  • QUARTERHORSE

I live in n. calif. Our stupid senator said they would be ” seriously mistaken” if women would vote for Palin. WTF ????? i E-MAILED HER AND TOLD HER BULLSHIT ! THEY ARE TOTALLY CLUELESS ABOUT THIS ELECTION. I AM EMBARRASSED TO HAVE EVER BEEN A STAUNCH DEMOCRAT…….AS OLIAR SAID AT HIS STUPID SPEECH, ENOUGH ! WELL, ENOUGH OF THE PARTY FOREVER, I AM DONE.

  • MrMike

You bet the tone is deserved and a whole lot more. The party I joined because I thought they believed that every person had worth and deserved the benefit of the doubt is no more.

  • karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now)

“the hurricane is going to hit New Orleans (chuckling) about the time they [meaning the Repub Convention] start. the timing at least it appears now that that it will be there Monday. That just demonstrates God is on our side.”

Bob Dylan wrote a song “With God on our Side”, it is pretty evident Fowler never heard it.

Michael Moore said the same thing on NBC to Keith O.

It is off topic but not really so at all.

This world has gotten pretty out of hand. Remember what Jackson Jr said about never crying for Katrina.

Well, I sure bet Jesse isn’t outraged that his fellow obots are LAUGHING at Gustav.

I love NOLA but not as much as Bill does, look at all he did for the victims and not only that he absolutely loves NOLA music and food and the culture too.

I bet Hill and Bill did shed tears for Katrina, and one thing for sure is I know it would never make them chuckle.

Sick bastards and outrageous behavior. Oh, that is par for the course for obamacrats. Duh.

Interesting. I got almost the same letter yesterday from my Senator, who I like and respect, Barbara Boxer:

The Vice President is a heartbeat away from becoming President, so to choose someone with not one hour’s worth of experience on national issues is a dangerous choice.

If John McCain thought that choosing Sarah Palin would attract Hillary Clinton voters, he is badly mistaken.

The only similarity between her and Hillary Clinton is that they are both women. On the issues, they could not be further apart.

Senator McCain had so many other options if he wanted to put a woman on his ticket, such as Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison or Senator Olympia Snowe — they would have been an appropriate choice compared to this dangerous choice.

In addition, Sarah Palin is under investigation by the Alaska state legislature which makes this more incomprehensible.

And I have been deciding how I will answer her email.

I think the Dems must be really scared. To even suggest that Palin hasn’t enough experience to be “one heartbeat away from the presidency” without acknowledging that they’ve nominated an empty suit with a resume as thin as the paper on which it’s printed, who spent 55 days a year for seven years as a state senator and voted PRESENT 130 times…..

Oh, I forgot, Barky spent 4 yrs as a child in Indonesia–and then stood in front of a German column to give a speech–that’s his foreign policy experience.

And Nancy Pelosi spent so much time talking about the fact that experience didn’t matter–it was better that Barky was new and fresh! Why not give her position to an incoming freshman congressperson, don’t ya think?

I don’t agree with Palin on numerous issues but this election, which should have been the Dems’ in an easy mile, is now about changing the party and taking it back from those who stole it.

Looks like McCain goofed big time. In trying to portray Palin as a reformer, he picked someone tainted with a scandal. Palin is corrupt! It’s all over for McCain and Palin, time to pack up and go home.

Spread this far and wide, tell anybody who will listen. Tell them if they don’t ask. Bring it up.
Every other challenger for the nomination to be Democrat Party candidate for president of the United States was allowed to go to the convention floor. The only difference between Hillary Clinton and Jesse Jackson, Ted Kennedy and Bill Bradley besides amassing more delegates than all of them put together is she is a woman. The Democrat menfolk failures, the above named, didn’t want a woman succeeding where they could not.
    Pity their fragile manly egos.

Barky has no experience. Bush had no experience. Being a gov of Texas was a part time job. And everything else he touched failed but I don’t remember people saying he had no experience.

Barky’s pick of Biden looks like the mirror image of Bush and Cheney–they both hired older Daddys to take care of things.

  • Freedom Fighter

NQ people’s heads have been exploding ever since old McCain picked a goofy beauty pagent as a running mate. McCain probably should have picked Paris Hilton instead. • CheapEmptySuit

Please be advised. Think carefully. The GE will be gamed by Obama.
If you cast a ballot and leave president empty, your ballot will be counted for Obama for president. Do you want this? If you do not cast a vote and are a Democrat, your non vote will count for Obama as they go down the list of people who didn’t vote and count them for Obama. They did this in the primaries. URGENT! Obama is a threat to national security and the constitution. Voting for Mccain is not all that bad. He will protect the country and we can sleep at night. We will get a whole new administration and perhaps ward off corruption. I am a staunch Dem who has never voted for a Republican, but will vote Mccain and am not shy of saying. We must stop this country from becoming a dictatorship and we must vote against Obama to protect the country and our kids. I’m tired of Hill supporters saying they won’t vote Mccain and they’ll sit this out. Call your election officials after the GE and find that your name cast a vote fo Obama. This is serious. He hasn’t won any election ever. He stole his way to the top. He will do it again in the GE. He may not succeed if we have enough votes to offset his stolen votes. Think! Our country is at stake.

I am very happy I havent gotten an email like that. I live in NY.

I like to think its because she just wouldnt want that kind of garbage with her name on it. And after all the ridicule she put up, I would hope she wouldnt want to do that to another.

We all know that Palin and Clinton differ on issues, but bother are strong, smart women. Both have balanced family and their POLITICAL lives. Both have desire to help others.

Well didn’t we all watch that interview of pelosi saying how wonderful it is that ob wasn’t experienced and not a Washington politican?

That quote can be brought up and played in an ad.

And on my own I was curious about some of the obot claims about her so I went around and read actual history of her past leadership decisions and stances and she’s quite reasonable and solid. I also watched hours of interviews on video of her and found her to be extremely knowledgeable and sharp as a tack and yet down to earth and honest. I like her, she is a keeper!

And compared to the experience barky has had and who it was with and the way he has voted and acted, she is way over qualified since she actually accomplished improvements for her city and her state. What did barky accomplish – ZERO. It is not the time spent it is the quality of the work.

  • Change

The Obama camp is askign Top Female DEM to contact their voters by email and warn them not to vote for Palin because she is not pro choice. Only now the Obama camp wants to treat us like humans.

The way they treated HRC by rigging the roll call is reprehensible. I can find many palin views that I agree with. Obama was too much of a wimp to vett HRC.

I wonder when they will speak out about the sexist attacks on Palin Tey haven’;t even givcen her a chance to discuss her views they are launching attacks. I sense fear and frustration in the DNC.

There is now an update to the Politico story:

Update: After reading this article, the McCain campaign issued the following statement: “The authors quote four scholars attacking Gov. Palin’s fitness for the office of Vice President. Among them, David Kennedy is a maxed out Obama donor, Joel Goldstein is also an Obama donor, and Doris Kearns Goodwin has donated exclusively to Democrats this cycle. Finally, Matthew Dallek is a former speech writer for Dick Gephardt. This is not a story about scholars questioning Governor Palin’s credentials so much as partisan Democrats who would find a reason to disqualify or discount any nominee put forward by Senator McCain.”

I would add that Goldstein is a heavy Dem donor and Dallek also held a political job under Matthew Kennard, the former Dem chairman of the FCC.

When running for Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin was asked the following question regarding her views on abortion: If Roe v. Wade were overturned and states could once again prohibit abortion, in your view, to what extent should abortion be prohibited in Alaska?

Under this hypothetical scenario, it would not be up to the governor to unilaterally ban anything. It would be up to the people of Alaska to discuss and decide how we would like our society to reflect our values.

You see Freedom, every filthy lie, your campaign puts out there, is being sent to the candidate it is about; so they have a chance this time. No more bashing and slandering women, and no more lies allowed to go through about Senator McCain. What a sad campaign when grown people resort to this form of pure stupidity. It’s really easy because the O campaign just slops it out there in public like they always have, with nary a thought to the repercussions of lying/slandering someone. Yes, someone in a public spotlight doesn’t have an expectation of privacy like us private citizens, but they do have the same expectation of the truth, particularly when one speaks about paternity of a child or photo shops false pictures(this one is a federal offense).
Now I’m waiting for the chastizing about what we say here, hey it’s a different scope, we aren’t affiliated with a campaign(smart man, Larry!) We are enjoying freedom of speech; as much as you may disagree say about some of our articles, they are not proven to be false. And of course that can be done on the O campaign site and other sites as well, provided lies and slander and fraud are not perpetuated. Just because so many got away with it for the past year doesn’t mean folks aren’t looking for it now.

I no longer consider myself religious BUT when I was younger, I spent a few years visiting a friend in MO who’s father was a Preacher (Rev.) at the local Assembly of God Church so when I’d visit I would (out of respect) attend with them on Sunday’s (and even Wed prayer meetings).

Those are the NICEST Christians I’ve EVER met in my life and have not met any like that since although I’ve not seeked them out in other states.

Point being, I know religous people, I know zealots and Assembly of God were no zealots Evangelicals but really seemed to walk the walk. I can not lie. (I even let them save me)

of course now they’d call me a back slider I still can not lie! They are decent people. Pro life for sure but NOT zealots that would stomp all over someone ELSES religion to push their stance in government. They believe in separation of church and state (give unto caesar what is caesar’s, give unto God what is God’s ?)

What part of the above do you not understand? The Clintons have been vilified by the media since 1992. From the start the male pigs at MSNBC and that bog trotter from the NYT were sniping at her. Yet inspite of all that she ran neck and neck with Obama.

    FYI: Palin on abortion:
When running for Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin was asked the following question regarding her views on abortion: If Roe v. Wade were overturned and states could once again prohibit abortion, in your view, to what extent should abortion be prohibited in Alaska?

Under this hypothetical scenario, it would not be up to the governor to unilaterally ban anything. It would be up to the people of Alaska to discuss and decide how we would like our society to reflect our values.

  • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

yea we can only HOPE KEITH tries to make a big deal out of it so we can BLAST them with all the facts!!!

The WOMEN HATERS AT MSNBO will be exposed!!! (if they haven’t to MOST of the world by now)

Palin has a stellar record that I have researched so far compared to “literally” anyone other than HILLARY and SARAH doesn’t have the build up CLINTON HATERS following her that poor hill had to endure (thank BILL ya know I love ya but… )

sigh, so NOW I’m being called “confusing” by some DEMS in my own family. No time to explain, I tried today to do a quickie list of Palins attributes but they were NOT interested (yet) there is still time and once they actually WATCH her and hear the blue collar, union stuff it will melt most of them!

She’s real. I seriously do like that and JM seems all a glow!!! LOL (Don’t worry Cindy, Sarah is a good Christian girl, I would bet)

SOME of us women are not IN to screwing around with other people’s husbands. John take heed you old hound dog. (only ribbing, sort of) ;-)

well ya, I’m serious then ok?

just a recommendation from a voice in a box inside your HEAD NOW!! hehe!

SHE NEEDS TO BE AT HOME WITH HER RETARDED 4 MONTH OLD CHILD. WHAT A BITCH TO TRY TAKE HILLARY VOTES! MCCAIN NEEDS HIS ASS KICKED FOR USING MITT ROMNEY AND JOW LIEBERMAN AS DOGS ON A CHAIN!

That’s terrible. Hopefully the unnamed blog will ban this Judy Ferguson person. These type of comments have no place in reasonable discourse and are rightly condemned.

I wish you all were so offended when Michelle Obama is called “Queen Kong” and a “transvestite” right here on NQ. But I guess you save your outrage for when mysognistic/racist/offensive statements are made about white women like HRC and Palin.

Oh and incidentally, this meme about Obama playing the Jay-Z song “99 problems” is utter NONSENSE. Never been proven. And since basically every rally and event Obama has held since Iowa is on youtube, c-span on-line or other resources, I’m sure someone would have produced proof by now. But they have not. Not one shred of proof.

It’s just another smear to portray Obama as sexist.

McCain moved ahead of Obama just before the Dem convention then Obama came back by two points. Obama got the 8 point bounce following HRCs speech/WJC at the convention. He went into his big speech night with that exact lead. That spread has not changed since then despite the hype on the great speech. Actually, it looks to me like Palin has had the effect of halting a bigger bounce.

  • imustprotest

oh, and Barry soretoro-dunham-obama talking about it himself is not a reliable source.

  • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

    yep yep yep

actually Palin needs to RIGHT NOW start protecting her back side! JM too! I like her stance on keeping the environment pristine yet using our own resources “RESPONSIBLY” and why can’t it be done????

It goes beyond anything I have ever seen before — for a sitting Senator to trash the other party’s candidate is beyond belief — except for the fact that Obama has all but taken over the Democratic Party. They have moved to Chicago and Obama’s people have replaced Party staffers. I would bet this isn’t from Boxer at all but its being done by Obama’s people on her stationery. He loves to make people think that everyone stands with him. Its really odd that McCain chose Palin yesterday, The Convention was over on Thursday night and the office staff got the rest of the weekend off but within a day — letters come out trashing Palin. Its got Obama’s face all over it.

I see that the sexism and slandering along with the nasty comments have begun, Im definietly voting McCain, and i urge all to vote , a slient vote, a third party vote a sign in vote is a vote for O, it is not ok for the Dnc and O campaign to use there bloggers to do the dirty work, I urge all supporters of Hill and now McCain and Palin, start coping those post from the idiotObots, and start sending them out and posting them to blogs along with the commenter name, and sight, copy and send to McCain and make sure u let them know your a democrat that supported Hillary and you are outraged about the sexism the Obama campaign and pundants lashed out at hillary, and to make sure they eye these and address each pundants and media commentator, such as the dumb dumbs of Nbc, Msnbc, Daily Kos, everywhere, let them know we are not going to allow this again and no one address it. Post some comments with a statement to Fox news, Oreilly and ask them to put a stop to demeaning a candidate with sexism before they can lash out stupidity more.

Ask them to read the comments with the names and blogs that are doing so, not only o supporters

Heck and start sending them out to the papers , and lets see how much we can call attention to these fools, if you cannot blog on merit and issues, it does not belong here, and Hill suporters need to stand ground and lash back at their stupidity , since really non of O supporters can really address issues, other than the word Change, , over and over and ask them how he will change it , they call you raciest and dirty names, be very scared obots, Palin and Mccain will gain more votes by those statements upsetting more and more woman, O will be the defeat of the obama supporters and his dirty radical terrorist friends, nobama ever McCAin and Palin , have my vote, im disgusted with the Dnc and O campaign, period, and i have alread posted on myspace and several other sights nastyness of O supporters fight back and stand as one, one voice one vote NObama and definietly send toe the McCain campaign to address the pundants.

Palin is the only one with executive experience, running a state more than Obama and Biden, she actually runs a state, and its your personal choice, she is not outlawing or banning she veto a bill that would take that away from women in Alaska, it is not ok, to provide late term abortions and babys left to die, when they could have had medical treatment, well i suppose its their personal deceisions, and Obama is not ending the war in Iraq, he is just detouring them to Afghanistan, so if you trust him with his terrorist friends to lead then by all means , let sexism and racism, draw a line in the sand and people who do not vote, thinks its just fine to demean woman. I will vote and roe vs wade has to be passed by legislation and i doubt the Democrats demolish it.
if your scared to stand up to do what is right, then by all means respectfully stay home. McCain and Palin 2008, and i am prochoice and not scared one bit.

He tasered Sarah’s 11 year old nephew, his stepson.

He threatened to kill her father if he hired a divorce lawyer for his daughter.

And this beauty: the taser he used had once malfunctioned and caused a death.

Yes, let’s put this story front and center to the American female voters.

  • s. hall

30 year Dem — the problem is the FCC — it has been allowed to be short staffed for the longest time. We make sure that the next President puts people at the FCC and gives them the power and support to do their jobs. If McCain becomes President we need to make sure that this is done. There are FCC rules — if you call yourself a news network you must do the news or your license can and will be taken away. That will stop this.

Yep! 100% agree. And I’ve said it several times – Bill and Hillary had to fall in line or ELSE. Their careers were threatened, believe it. HOW can the damn DNC even think of threatening a former President as esteemed and loved as Bill Clinton? And get away with it? Not by me. I will NEVER forgive them for what they did to Our Hillary and Bill.

Oh and BTW, I watched Stephanie Tubbs Jones’ services today and Bill knocked O-Dumbo out of the water. He was amazing (of course!) The greatest natural politician of our lifetime. (Hillary looked very sad.)

I urge all women to vote for McCain/Palin. McCain had the guts to make this move. A woman with executive experience like a governor has makes Obarkalot look very inexperienced. Palin will do well. What most are forgetting is women kick butt and take no names when they are like Governor Palin. I also encourage anyone to vote for them….the Democratic Party has become the anarchist party….it is chaotic and has no central theme….why? because Obarkalot is not a leader….

  • PhxNickD

  • Chad3337

Hmmmmm, seems like no matter which side wins at least one member of the ticket will be inexperienced, so let’s review the bidding.

Obama got where he is by working the Chicago machine; Palin got where she’s at by working as an OUTSIDER AGAINST a corrupt political machine.

    What’s that tell you?

  • Hope Floats

I’m delighted to vote for John McCain / Sarah Palin.

  • Hope Floats

Everything they say about Palin is typical slurs against Republicans and sexism. What they said about Hillary was typical Clinton innuendo plus sexism. But the underlying root is sexism. Most of you figured that out. I refuse to even try to defend the Republican platform. That is a straw man argument. Sarah Palin’s record is a good one that speaks for itself. I will defend her career and her character, because she is a good woman. We need more like her in politics in both parties while the Republicans seem to offer more support and growth potential.

  • Hope Floats

    Idiocracy –

  • Linda

I am left speechless. Ang again, the Demogogic Party shows they are the one who play on fear and the Demogogic Party shows they will say anything, however tasteless a smear and baseless an attack campaign. We thank them for being what they claimed the NeoCons to be.

Now that the NeoCon will be out of the WH and we have to choose between a Neoliber (the same as a NeoCon but they wear a D) or a Republican of the more classic mold of Maverick. Looks like the choice is becoming clearer by the moment.

So glad I’m not a member of the Demogogic Party.

  • Linda

btw, it looks like the Demogogic Party doesn’t have to think anymore. They take their specific talking points from Camp Obama and reuse them.

“corrupt” “right winger” “Judgement” “Women voters who care about equal rights, choice”.

YES, that’s why we are REJECTING Obama. These are the problems with him.

I guess we can keep seeing these tired and reused talking points and attacks, but I see they dropped the “inexperienced” from their list rather quickly. lol

These saps must really be confused. They aren’t talking to Obamabots, they’re talking to the hardcore Democratic base, we’re not the ones who have a problem with reality. Why do they think they need to say Governor Palin is not Hillary Clinton and where, anywhere in a sane mind, think they can compare Governor Palin to a male Congressman and Senator. I fear for these folks. Maybe what they’re telling us is they think the same thing as 88 will happen and that Governor Palin will be the VP.

I’ve been seeing the similar writing on the wall too. How many times and the Demogogic Party play the Anybody but Republican meme. And think they can hand us one of their Sell Outs, because, after all, “they’re better than a Republican”. Call me sillly, but I don’t consider an inexperienced Senator who sells out his supposed core princples and positions to act like a Republican with no back bone and easy to buy his vote better than a Republican. And Kerry lost with that theme and so too will Barry. I’m seeing the same thing parallel as in 1988, when the Dem’s thought for sure America was tired of Republicans after “8 years” of Reagan. Then we got Bush and Quayle, until CLINTON showed you stand on convictions, economy, and WALKED the TALK of RIGHTS FOR ALL. AND won the presidency and went on to being one of our most successful presidencies.

Yep, and america showed they like what Bill Clinton did. And the downfalls in his presidency are exactly what Hillary didn’t support and advocated to fix, so it sounds like people reallly do want a president for the people who walk the talk, not merely a symbol that is filled with hot air.

OK, you Demagogues of the Demagogic Party, you made your choice. Repeat, after 8 years of a Republican, we will have another 4 years of a Republican until a REAL Democrat comes along to clean up your mess and represent the people again.
