I live in the DC area and the atmosphere was electric with shock and hope. My dad a life long Independent, career Soldier (34 years) and college professor is so pleased with the Choice of Sarah Palin as VP for McCain he actually agreed to have a political sign in his yard for the first time ever. During his time in the military he helped to design the Air defenses of Europe and North America. He understands what it takes to "recieve that 3am call". And he told us that McCain is ready and he is ok with that but even more he is certain he can support Sarah Palin in the same position. I agree.
