Oh God Part Deux

Damn it. I was already for Katrina part II–you know, floating bodies, indequate Federal and State response, massive destruction, cats and dogs living together; mass hysteria. And nothing. Yeah, there was some rain and flooding but what the hell happened to the end of the world and God punishing the Republican sinners for their evil deeds? Man, we popped the media Viagra and wound up with Mr. Softie. What a let down.

Democrats Don Fowler and Michael Moore promised me that the Republicans were getting their comeuppance. God was going to kill a bunch of people on the Gulf Coast because He’s mad at George Bush and Dick Cheney (who happen to live in Washington). So rather than strike down the inside the beltway types God is taking his shot at folks still hanging around the Big Easy, 1600 miles from Washington? Sounds to me like God took aiming lessons from Dick Cheney.

But wait. With no disaster the Republicans get a victory lap. This also means George Bush and Dick Cheney won’t be speaking at the Convention. This let’s McCain can keep them away from the podium and not be accused of dissing them. Darnation. I thought we were going to be able to run a campaign against McBush (you know, McCain as a Bush clone), now this. McCain not getting tarred with the visage of George Bush hanging at his coronation party. What is the world coming to?

Does this mean God actually loves Republicans?

  • http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/ NotYoursweetie

Seems this way. McCain definitely rose to the occasion more than B0 did!
meanwhile, Obama is throwing the rumors under the bus – “not the rumors I used to know”

    lol

Let’s just keep God out of it, that way, no one looks like a dumbass.

  • ford

The MSM will now descend on the Palin family, in the absence of programming.

  • http://www.despair.com/changewinds.html Smilin’ Jim

Looks like you finally got the grift.

    Check your wallet anyway.

  • Crystal

    LOL

  • JKFriz

So Larry – you mean that the Republicans get a victory lap because it wasn’t bad enough for them to muck it up with their corruption and cronyism?

  • http://www.latinorepublican.com DD

Just as the the Moore’s and Fowlers wish for us to fall on our knees with blood on their teeth, they will continue to try and tar and feather Palin’s daughter for KEEPING HER BABY!

    *GASP*

They think that keeping a baby is a bad idea. These snob elite machines have no idea that millions of families are affected with teen pregnancy. Furthermore, Obama himself was a “love child” as well!

    The hypocrisy is surreal.

  • vinnie

He’s always offended but yet, he and his campaign are repeat offenders. No more BS, Mr. BS.

  • JKFriz

McCain headed down to the Gulf Coast region, where his presence would draw needed security resources away if disaster struck.

Obama worked to use his network of volunteers in a way that would be useful to the people of the Gulf Coast if disaster struck.

So – there’s a difference, of course, between looking presidential and acting presidential.

  • WarriorofG-d

What a wretched soul Obama is. He turned his dogs on Palin, and then gets in front of the camera and tells the public to “be off limit to her children”. What a phoney! And to think these words were spoken by one of the greatest scoundels ever to disgrace our country. Mrs. Palin, stay strong- get in front of the camera at every opportunity- fight these minions are you are going to be slice in half by the KOS minions of Obama. If you can kill a moose with a big gun- these koolaid children can be knocked down with your fly swapper.

  • vinnie

Obama himself was a “love child” as well!

Well, you see, with Stanley and Barack Sr., the story is great because they met in Selma and that child was destined to be “the one”. Oh, but wait, the Selma story is a sham and so is the one. never mind.

  • fooj

Ruh Roh. They are reporting that a levee is about to give way in a Parish in LA.

    Who could have predicted it?

  • just me

well I am not sure where the force comes from but the view is

this is all making John McCain look good as the next POTUS

and Obama is scuttling to have to make changes… did you hear his words seams I have to again changes my plans…. damn the weather down south…

    when will it all end???

  • Andrew

Shut up. Obama was in Michigan blasting McCain in a national emergency while spreading cruel rumors about Palin.

  • Mr.Murder

All GOP Governors there anyways now. During Katrina, they contacted GOP Gov. more than they did ones who were Democrats.

Not that a lot of contact was done anyways. It would have spoiled one of the record GWB White House vacations, or one of Condi’s shopping sprees.

Nice of the woman who helped address the Bridge to Nowhere in helping meet Haley “New Bridge Strategies” Barbour to discuss dealing with the coming storm.

Barber and New Bridge Strategies were wasting Iraqi rebuilding money from US taxpayers, at the cost of the Army Corps. of Engineers budget. You know, the guys who actually have to maintain the levees….

  • imustprotest

haha! Obama had a low level staffer send out an email (yawn…and let me finish my waffles) and McCain went down to get a first hand, on the ground look at what was happening.

    McCain = leader
    Obama = slacker

  • BernieO

This is a tactic straight out of Rove’s manual. Bush always pretended he had nothing to do with smears like those against McCain or the Swiftboat crowd even though these were carried on by his friends and supporters. It worked.

I am deeply disturbed to see the Democratic Party adopt the strategies of Lee Atwater and Karl Rove. If they succeed I will have no party I can believe in.

The media and the right always accused Clinton of being guilty of nasty politics but from what I have seen he never did adopt these policies – in fact he often used charm and flattery to disarm critics like Newtie. And he was the only one to defeat the Republican slime machine TWICE! These tactics are not only immoral, sooner or later they backfire and weaken a party. Just look at where this approach has gotten Republicans.

Best thing that could ever have happened to McCain: Cheney won’t be speaking.

  • imustprotest

corruption and cronyism like Rezco, Ayers, Wright??

  • fooj

First time he has EVER done that. Call off his cockroaches, that is. Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out his motive.

It seems that “Camp Obama” didn’t include CROSSING OVER THE LINE in their training manuals. Problem is, when you unleash this kind of hatred and rankor, it’s hard to stop the avalanche once it starts rolling.

  • Mr.Murder

Basically, Bush had to learn from his own bad example and reverse engineer a lot of the storm response that was followed at this time.

  • JKFriz

Your pooler asked him if McCain’s visit now is appropriate.

His response: “A big storm like this raises bipartisan concerns and I think for John to want to find out what’s going on is fine.”

Wow. That’s TOTALLY blasting McCain, you’re so right.

And find me proof that Obama himself has been spreading the Palin rumors, other than your own twisted assumptions.

  • http://www.latinorepublican.com DD

Ever hear of the phrase: Never mess with a woman’s ‘cubs’?

I have a feeling Palin is gonna put Obama bin Biden in their place.

Furthermore, you would think attacks would be held off during the hurricane catastrophe, yet Biden was attacking McCain during a time of crisis. Wow.

  • Andrew

That’s not true. Blanco wouldn’t federalize until the last moment. Bush had to plead with her. She is the one responsible for the mess.

  • JKFriz

If Obama had gone down there, would you have applauded his initiative? Answer honestly.

  • just me

God I am so over the O if you ask me this is Gods way of showing us who to vote for!

    Mccain/Palin 08

  • JKFriz

I’m not sure that what you cite measures up to the deaths of 1,600 people, much of which could have been prevented with a competent administration, but have it your way.

  • imustprotest

Obamasoretoro is too lazy to actually do the work of spreading rumors….he’s got thugs and other low level minions doing it for him you silly goose.

  • Dean Neyce

McSame did exactly what was needed, didn’t he? This candidate rushed down to disaster areas and diverted planes, secret service, airport runway time to pretend he is in charge.

John proved what type of overview he gives to FEMA related disasters in 2005. During Katrina McSame and Bush were celebrating McCain’s birthday, with the accompanying fundraising galas.

P.S. Larry I can whip you con no manos!

  • imustprotest

First, I would have been shocked because he never gets his shoes dirty!

  • MIDem

    more Caligula slime.
he is nothing but the most base that man has to offer. Perhaps that is his appeal and is the reason for his success thus far.
I pray that McCain defeats him soundly in November.

  • Morgan

Sorry, who was running Louisiana and New Orleans during Katrina? Yeah, the Republican good ol’ boys network– Ray Nagin, Kathleen Blanco, with Special Guest Star William Jefferson commandeering helicopters and hummers.

Anyway, it matters nothing– none of those people, NOR BUSH, are running for President. Let’s just hope everyone in Louisiana is safe, and move on.

  • imustprotest

Besides he can’t go down there during a hurricane…where would he find his arugula?

  • http://www.thepetitionsite.com/148/petition-to-urge-hillary-clinton-to-run-as-an-independate Mary Cusack

It’s a private levee owned by private people. and it’s only near a canal.

  • Mr. X

Why does Obama keep doing nothing or the minimum required? If he had gone down there, he’d still only have done it because McCain is there. Obama shows no initiative. He only does what he thinks is necessary.

I’m still waiting for Obama to take his first step on his own.

  • JKFriz

Thanks for providing evidence, as I suggested.

  • Dr. Kate

    bullshit. obama is play acting.

The soldier and the governor went to the site to mobilize resources.

obama is an unqualified little kid. he has no business standing for POTUS.

He will never enter the whitehouse except as a tourist.

  • yttik

Dark humor, but I saw this headline. “Man Tries to Sever own Arm”. I suspect he tried to gnaw it off after watching too much election coverage.

Bush really dropped this country on it’s head and we’ve been bass akwards ever since. Republicans trying to turn their convention into a charitable event and Democrats advocating scarlet letters for teen girls?

  • Eidnoreid

We’d give Obama credit IF he’d gone down and hadn’t effed up or insulted some demographic of people.

But, we’ll never know since Obama took the Bush/Katrina way out and didn’t show.

Question: Why won’t Barky go to New Orleans? It’s not the first time he’s refused. Another skeleton of corruption perhaps?

    From Hillbuzz:

“Wow — one of the worst people in America today sank to a new personal low.

Donna Brazile actually said today on CNN that she feels it’s fair game to attack Bristol Palin, Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter, who will be marrying her high school boyfriend and having a child.

This, after Andrew Sullivan and others perpetuated the vulgar story originated on Daily Kos this Saturday that Palin’s daughter Bristol was actually the mother of newborn Trig Palin, and that Palin stole the plotline of last season’s Desperate Housewives by faking her pregnancy so that she could claim to be Trig’s mother and not his grandmother (since the lies claim Trig is Bristol’s son, not Palin’s).

    This is just ridiculous.

SoetorObama’s surrogates in the media have hit a new low. Even for them. For people without standards and slimey reputations to begin with, this is really a feat of accomplishment in a perverse way. People who are already so terrible to begin with just got even more terrible.

We didn’t think that was even possible.”

  • wac for hillary

So, a few days of smearing is okay in your book, eh?

  • Ferd McBerfle

There must have been some connection because the Great One himself called today for his supporters to DROP the Palin/daughter/child line of talking point.

There’s your evidence. If it weren’t coming from his campaign, he would have said nothing. He is in bad enough shape without having his goon squad make more trouble for him.

    You’re welcome.

  • Dr. Kate

yes it was a sorry example. But this is three years later. Bush is gone.

What is crass is democrfatic party officials laughing about it (don fowler) and wishing disaster on New Orleans. The ass had to apologize for his remarks, but the damage is done. This year’s crop of dems were hoping for the easy way out–a natural disaster.

What kind of American wishes this on their own country?

There is only one clear choice this year: McCain/Palin. I don’t want some ego maniac with a cell phone in his pocket and arugula on his sleeve in charge of saving American lives. He couldn’t bring himself to do that. No empathy.

  • wac for hillary

Andrew. “Bush had to plead with her.”

  • Ferd McBerfle

Let 85,000 people into a stadium to see your speech – is that awesome and inclusive? No, it’s just a show of ego.

Correct. He should have humbly accepted and moved on with the campaign. It looked like a frat party and wretched excess.

  • JB

You’re right…but strangely enough, the people of New Orleans reelected Ray “Cussin’ Not Bussin’” Nagin to another term. Go figure!

  • RepublicanChick

We look forward to seeing Donna Brazile’s firing. Is Obama telling the truth or not? However, it will require Howie Dean to also go along with it.

  • JKFriz

Actually, if he said nothing, you’d be absolutely railing on him for it. You know this, and I know this.

C’mon, at least show a little bit of honesty. And at least try to make some sense.

The Bush administration asks Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco to request a federal takeover of relief efforts. The move would have given the federal government control over Louisiana’s National Guard and local police. The state eventually rejected the proposal.

    Saturday, September 3:

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff declares that Katrina constituted “a combination of catastrophes exceeded the foresight of the planners, and maybe anybody’s foresight.” CNN reports that “government officials, scientists and journalists have warned of such a scenario for years.”

Chertoff also asserts that “our constitutional system really places the primary authority in each state with the governor,” in response to a question about the federal government’s response to the catastrophe.

Governor Kathleen Blanco (D-La) hires James Lee Witt, FEMA director under President Clinton, to advise her during the relief effort.

DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff and other Bush aides hold two hour meeting with members of the Congressional Black Caucus and other black leaders.

4 PM: the Department of Homeland Security releases a document of “Highlights of the United States Government Response to the Aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.”
The Chicago Tribune quotes a frustrated Mayor Richard Daley as saying that FEMA had thus far requested that the city send “only one piece of equipment – a tank trunk to support the Illinois Emergency Response Team, which is already down there.” Daley tersely noted that the city is “ready to provide considerably more help than they have requested….We are just waiting for the call.”

Congress approves and President Bush signs an initial $10.5 billion aid package for immediate rescue and relief efforts.

The Congressional Black Caucus, along with the NAACP, Black Leadership Forum, and the National Urban League express dismay over the sluggish relief efforts in New Orleans, citing the poverty of the victims as a primary reason for the delay.

    Sunday, September 4:

FEMA establishes a hotline to collect donations for assisting victims.

Jefferson Parrish president Aaron Broussard claims on Meet the Press that aid to his parrish was blocked by FEMA.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the USS Bataan, a large navy ship positioned close to New Orleans, is “underused and waiting for a larger role in the effort,” with its 600 beds and six medical operating rooms empty. The Tribune notes that the ship’s 1,200 sailors have not been asked to join the relief effort. >

The Washington Post prints an article announcing that Louisiana Governor Blanco had not declared a state of emergency (later, it printed a correction, noting that she had, in fact, made the declaration on August 26)

Go ahead, find where I was spreading the Palin rumors. I don’t believe them, and I’ve never repeated them.

The only disgusting thing is the way you sacrifice honesty for your own agenda.

  • Deb

Here’s an interesting way to look at this:

    http://www.redstate.com/diaries/redstate/2008/sep/01/barack-obamas-denial-does-not-hold-water/

On a personal note, several credible, reliable people have told me that Obama staffers have been forwarding out the story about Sarah Palin’s youngest son not being her own. In fact, the New York Times vaguely referenced the story the other day. They would not do that if lowly bloggers were pushing the story. It had to be a connected Democrat.

Barack Obama says his staff has not been pushing these stories.

But let’s delve into the heart of this matter.

When Hillary Clinton supporters started questioning whether Obama actually was born in the United States, who published the birth certificate?
Daily Kos did. Barack Obama sent it to Daily Kos to get it out there. They have a close relationship, the campaign and website do.

When Barack Obama wanted to reach out to the netroots, where did he go to blog?
    At Daily Kos.

What site does Barack Obama have in his RSS reader?
    Daily Kos.

Barack Obama himself admits he reads Daily Kos.

We know from Ben Smith at the Politico that Democrats are pushing out the story about Sarah Palin’s support for abstinence only education. They were doing it before the announcement and now they are really doing it.

So today Barack Obama says he’d fire people from his staff who are pushing stories about the Palin family children.

Maybe he needs to start looking into his staff.

The pattern is clear: Obama’s campaign pushes information to Daily Kos. Daily Kos then spreads it and gets it into the media (probably because a lot of reporters are also diarists there). Given all the other ever changing statements from Obama, how exactly can we really believe his denials now, given his pattern and the connections?

  • mel

Do not send money to Obama’s website for the Red Cross, history has taught us via Rezko that Obama likes to take money destined for the needy, just ask those who froze in the slums of Chicago!

  • Ferd McBerfle

This campaign of Oblahblah is breathtaking in its sheer arrogance and win-at-all-costs reaction to anything remotely perceived as a potential threat. Children and children’s children of the opposition are considered fair game in this wretched spectacle. Am I worried–no. These hateful exercises are starting to make people take notice.

There’s even dissension on the Oblahblah website itself over how to handle all that’s coming their way. What few adults remain on board are losing the battle and, with it, the chance to elect Oblockhead.

Sigh. Is it POSSIBLE for you to at least do a little research before seeing if what you’re flinging will stick the wall?

  • Dr. Kate

ok, Donna Brazile, if you want to go there, answer these quesitons then:

    1. Is there any truth to the rumor that Barack Obama was a product of RAPE, and that is why they didn’t get married?
    2. Is it true that Barack Obama was sexually molested in Indonesia by his indonesian stepfather?
    3. Is it true the BArack Obama visited his “uncle Frank” for sex, drugs, and rock n roll?
    4. Is it true that Barky’s kids really think their dad smells awful, and that he sleeps in a separate bedroom?
    5. ARe bAracks kids really his own? Or did he and MIchelle have an arranged marraige where he adopted her kids? I mean, they don’t look like him at all.
    6. And is it true that you are a lesbian who is two-timing on your partner?
    7. Is it true that you had sex with Karl Rove?

When you get done with these answers–since they ar fair game now, I’ve got some more questions for you to answer.

Again, you did not do your research. Yes thousands of people died, but most did not follow evacuation demands. The federal government did a piss poor job, but so did the local and state government. Donna Brazilla Gov pal fought with the feds for two days, she was reaction instead of proaction. She did/could not run for relection and I’m sure Donna and Howard are taking care of her as part of their plan to turn red into blue.
The federal government steps in when all else fails and they did not step in in a timely fashion. And, Bush is stupid! But, it took more than Stupid for the situation to get so bad. It took, Ray Ray (and they reelected him), And Kay Kay and Stupid for that beautiful city to be destroyd. Go play with your playstation, you must be bored because you are boring us.

  • JKFriz

That’s because your answer wasn’t evidence.

hey bot–should change that to Barky or Brazille’s therapist. See, you are so blind you can’t even stand to think that barky is a product of rape, or that is willingly bisexual.

I’m glad to see Donna out there supporting her candidate. My daughter just got a phone call asking her how to change her party. So we should allow them to go with this vile. What kind of things do they say about her when her back is turned…more will follow her.

Donna Brazile is a BIG reason I am not voting democrat in November. The other reasons would be Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi.
Brazile’s remarks about Palin’s daughter are not surprising. Brazile’s mantra all year has been “Obama at any cost” and no level is too low for her to sink to. Dailykos and company have followed along like a zombie brigade.

It was supposed to be a year the democrats could not lose. But this bunch is so hateful and vile I don’t see them picking up the necessary independents to win. Picking on a Down syndrome kid and a 17-year old? Very classy. Good luck with that strategy.

And the O-lovers speak of her as if she was a true Messiah’s Mother.

Now they’re bashing Palin’s daughter for being pregnant.

OK I know I promised to stay away, but this is just to delicious to pass up! Larry Johnson calling out Andrew Sullivan for spreading smears and lies about his political opponent? The irony is too rich!

In case you missed it, here are some of the highlights:

LJ: You piece of human scum. Pick the time and date. I will kick your ass. You are despicable…
Making public threats of violence is never a good idea, LJ. Remember we live in a litigious society. Why give Sullivan an angle to sue your ass?

LJ: You have no sense of decency or honor. You deserve to be beaten in every manner conceivable. You and your cohorts spread this vicious lie…
This is laughable! Ummm…let’s see. Whitey tape; gay limo sex; Fake COLB. C’mon LJ. These are all lies spawned in this den of hate, and you’ve been the main cheerleader. All without a shred of proof.

LJ: I will fight you with one arm tied behind my back and destroy you. Please, accept the challenge…
I’d be careful LJ. A friend of mine in high school once got in a fight with a “feminine” gay guy, and got the piss beat out of him. Remember, Andrew may be gay, but he’s still a man. If I recall he was a rugby player in high school. Rugby player are tough SOB’s!!!

Yeah Lazy Ass, doesn’t want to get his hands dirty. It’s way above his pay grade to give a helping hand.

  • Stewie

BO’s wife is more of a man than her arugula eating hubby is.

Can’t wait to see Sarah Palin the moose hunter dispose of Joe the plagiarist in their debate. He’ll probably call her sweetie or honey.

Andrew Sullivan is an HIV-infected misogynist who advertised for partners willing to engage in unprotected sex. Like Arianna, he has swerved from the extreme right to the extreme left.

  • Stewie

I’m a registered Democrat (so I can vote in primaries) but really an independent-minded swing voter. I voted for Barack in the California primary on Super Tuesday. Then I turned against him in March/April because of his lies about his background — Jeremiah Wright, his Muslim years in Indonesia, William Ayers, etc. I rooted for Hillary in the late primaries (having not liked her before but admiring her new gritty personality) and will gladly vote for McCain and Palin in November.

Just say no to the Obama Bin Biden ticket.

  • karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now)

you have much to learn grasshopper.

READ the archives here about how he gets those crowds.

Throughout his entire campaign every single time he gained large crowds there were popular FREE bands playing and/or free food.

He gave away free Dave Matthews tickets across town when Hillary was having a rally in college towns. It is called a DICK MOVE.

He constantly did that. If you think Bruce didn’t have anything to do with that crowd then you are a gullible naive fool.

Oh, that’s right, you are all that.

AND a LIAR too. Checked out Coales HUGE donations over a lifetime to the DNC, pages worth. You mention one charity event donation to newt and painted him as a Rep.

I can’t stand you frizzbot, you are full of it.

but he said any member of staff would be fired right?

    Does that mean DBrazille goes?

  • Perry Logan

Don’t give me that. Republicans always screw up, then blame the Democrats. Katrina is no exception.

  • just me

theres enough shit going hit the fan in the coming weeks sit back and wait for it….. you demand too much were you never told to wait and see..

  • karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now)

Hillary’s supporters are still waiting for the asshole to say something to us, but his foot of pride has come down and his ego is too big to admit he abused the hell out of our candidate for his political gain. Do I sound pissed, you bet your ass I am. Harold Ickes spoke for me and if you had an inkling of what democracy means you would have realized he was speaking for America and every single voter of any party. He was talking about what makes a country a democracy – voting rights!

HIJACKED by 30 people. Not just the millions in those two states – but every single one of the 18 million voters were disenfranchised by their act.

  • Perry Logan

Thanks for being so willing to break your promise.

Larry’s comments are more expressions of anger than smears or lies. And who wouldn’t be outraged at you guys?

Forsake Obama and the pain will stop.

and the one spent a fortune on a show only the Clintons could pull him through…

Without them he looked hopeless as normal..

  • Hank

Obama is being interviewed for POTUS, I will not be hiring him come november. His background is lacking to much information, and what he does have listed is very scary. I will be hiring McCain/Palin for POTUS come November.

  • karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now)

What I can see is that you are a fool trying to peddle koolade.

Go to the archives bot, learn what Larry did for Hillary, see how he supported her with glee.

No, he was staunchly for the only real democrat in this contest and that is all that matters.

He promoted Clinton. Say what you will, but we all wanted her to win and we’ve been here though it all together. Wonder why we trust Larry? He earned it.

  • just me

However look at John & Sarah they look awesome….

Sarah Palin is tougher, smarter and more honest than the One will ever be 19 months into this game and where no closer to knowing him…

    Beggars belief.

  • karen for Clinton (sigh, McPalin now)

You know this bot didn’t read Evelyn Pringle’s “operation board games”, he is a hopey changey bot, can’t let his dreams dissolve by reading the truth.

Wonder if he wants to live with radioactive drinking water and no heat while ob gets $300,000 paid on his house by a convicted dear friend and guilty as hell felon?

Ayers was the enemy of the peace movement.
    I know, I was there.

  • Hank

Most importantly he has no ACCOMPLISHMENTS…

  • Alex

Bravo! Perfect!! Let’s not feed trolls by responding and explaining what they have refused to see, hear or comprehend from day one if they support such a marketing gimmick as Barky.

  • D

    Completely agree:

I am deeply disturbed to see the Democratic Party adopt the strategies of Lee Atwater and Karl Rove. If they succeed I will have no party I can believe in.

All weekend I’ve read comments from Dems saying the stories about the Palin pregnancies are fair game. I remember them being outraged by similar comments not too long ago.

They’ve said Repubs would do it if the tables were turned. I was a Dem because I expected more integrity from my paty than I saw from Repubs. They’ve clearly decided winning at all costs — regardless of the damage done to anyone — is more important than hope and change and a different kind of politics.

I’m disappointed, but after the primary season, not surprised at all.

  • No Obama for me

    Hooray!!!!

    Wish I had seen that.

  • Mr.Murder

Bill Clinton actually gave Obama props at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones memorial. It was an engaging moment that he shared from experiences with and memories of Rep.Tubbs Jones.

He also mentioned Rep.Kendrick Meek, who in my opinion should be the man running for highest office in terms of merit and experience. As a minority candidate and a charming member of “the 30 something Democrats,” a CSpan favorite, with a law enforcement background, Kendrick is the real deal.
Back to the memorial service, President Clinton really does have a way to assure persons, he finds a way to attach deeper meaning to symbolic gestures, he asserts emotional and reasoned objectives within the viewpoints he shares.

As for the ongoing campaign, McCain’s pick is gathering momentum within media ranks as a unique item and a good story. The race is far from over.

  • No Obama for me

    Go fuck yourself JK Friz.

Obama is a slick tongued devil and he needs to go to Kenya and join his cuz Odinga for he ain’t gonna be president of our United States.

  • No Obama for me

    Brent in Tampa,

Join JKFritz and go fuck each other.

Larry Johnson is super great and can see the truth and he is just like me he doesn’t like corrupt fakes that have no experience at all to be president of our country.

  • Mr.Murder

She did the required work, Bushco. fumbled the paperwork.

In fact the National guard of NM was offered for relief and DC f’d the paperwork up at the Bush White House.

A relative went there from Akransas, for Guard Duty, as well.
The trucking company on the north side of town where his father works had about thirty bodies washed onto its bordering fence.
    Heckuva job, Bushies.

  • Carol

That was yesterday and Gov. Barbour had asked him down there. Besides McCain used his plane to fly delegates back to their homes to be with their families and even flew the delegates and their families back to St. Paul. John had already suggested that the delegates and man the phone banks and get donations for the Red Cross. Barack did do that until after John McCain had proceeded to get donations.

  • LindaA1

Wow! Is McCain on a roll! First he pops it out of the park by picking Sarah Palin as VP, now he scores again with a big wet kiss from Mother Nature.

How perfect! McCain gets to look good by canceling the first day of the convention in deference to the possible victims of Gustav…and in the process, sheds himself of George Bush and Dick Cheney – two birds, one stone.

Ooooooobama must feel like he just got hit with a one/two punch from political hell!

    Many HAHAHA’s.

NOLA dodged a bullet. Gustav made landfall 50 miles away from the city. Thus the city got brushed by Gustav. Shift the track a mere 50 miles and NOLA gets the double whammy; Gustav hits NOLA coming and going.

NOLA dodged yet another bullet as Gustav weakened when it hit land. Gustav was “only” a Cat 2 Hurricane when it hit Cocodrie LA. As this little hamlet is described as “unincorporated fishing, shrimping and crabbing village in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, United States, it could have been much worse. The storm track then meandered past NOLA and Gustav continued to break down and break apart as it interacted with land.

As Hurricanes are very unpredictable it could have played out very differently. A different track with a stronger storm would have had a different end result. As NOLA may not have the capacity to survive a Cat 3 storm Gustav was a grave threat. Three years of neglect and indifference have left NOLA in a precarious position. The levies and the pumps that support them are by the Governments own admission iffy.

If we had a real government instead of a crony kelptocracy we would not have to even worry about a Katrina re-enactment three years after the fact. We would not have had Katrina in the first place.

By the way Johny Mac had zero business being in NOLA. His buddy Joe Lieberman chairs the relevant committee in the Senate. The Elephants are represented by Susan Collins and others. McCain is not even on the committee. The only reason Johny boy is there is for face time on the national news. The man is in the way and useless to the real worker-bees at FEMA. This is all about him not eating (birthday) cake like he did back when Katrina came ashore.

Barak obama’s campaign sent a memo to the press calling bill clinton racist and gave them “examples” that they could use.

Barak obama everyone thrown off the democratic ballad of the illinois state senate by challenging signatures and did it to late for anyone to contest or get new signatures.

Barak obama sends the israeli press his prayer that he placed on the west wall when he knew no one was supposed to read it, and took almost 2 days to straighten it out.

Barak obama suck his middle finger up at hillary clinton.

Obama funneled 14 million dollars to rezko when he knew rezko was going to put most of it in his personal fund.

Taking all of the above into consideration common sense would tell anyone that, yes obama is behind this foolishness. But considering the fact you are voting for him. I can already tell you have none.

    No Joy….

This information came out roughly 1 year ago about Andrew Sullivan. Before you think that Stewie is a homophobe, why don’t you do alittle investigation into Mr. Sullivan.

Mr. Sullivan loves Ronald Reagan. In fact Sullivan will tell you he came here from Britian because of Reagan. How any self-respecting gay man, who cares about anyone other than himself, could “love” Reagan when he wouldn’t even say AIDS until 1987 is beyond me.

Next, Mr. Sullivan touts his Catholicism and his morality. Talks at length about his monagamous relationship and how gay men have too much sex and need to take greater precautions.

It was right around this time dear Joy, that Sullivan got caught taking out ads in gay papers looking for group sex and barebacking partners (unprotected sex). He is HIV positive. It was reported in various papers and online.

Please spare me your “feigned” outrage over a commnet that was not homophobic in any way but rather points out the sheer hypocrisy of Mr. Sullivan, who is no more a Democrat than Arianna Huffington.
