I wonder what the MSM reaction would be in 2012 when 2 women will be running for president…

  • KenNOhio

I can predict right now the MSM will be saying, she didn’t meet expectations, she didn’t address this issue or that issue, she should have said this and that and the other thing.

  • John Smith

The DNC is scared of her. They really don’t know what to do. The few things that they could dig up on her in the past 20 years amount to nothing. The fact that she is more qualified to be President then Obama makes “The One” look foolish. So what else could they fall back on. They call on her to quit. Anybody who does not think that sexism has been injected into the covrage of Palin must be deaf or a bigot.

BTW SEXISM = RACISM there is no difference. One could think of SEXISM as worse since who ever is doing it has no respect for their own mother.

Hot microphones have done her in (maybe). Peggy Noonan and Mike Murphy were on MSNBC this afternoon with Chuck Todd and thought that they had gone to a commercial break. You would think they would have remembered Jesse Jackson but noooooooooooo…
    It’s not good…

I wonder if MSNBC is going to touch this one any further…

Jake Tapper is writing continually about Biden gaffes.

But heralding his own experience, Biden also said he “know(s) as much as anyone in government about” national security and foreign policy.

And for the third time since his acceptance speech a week ago, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee confused battalions and brigades.

“Over a year and a half ago,” Biden said of Obama. “He said we need two more combat battalions in Afghanistan.”

Actually, Obama called for two more combat brigades.

A brigade is bigger than a battalion — a brigade, in fact, is composed of a varying number of battalions.

Why are any of these people still working at MSNBC?

  • http://www.theindependentview.com Matthew Weaver

MSM doesn’t like her and even some conservative ones are going to be peeved that they was caught off guard and a non-insider got the pick. Tough.

  • John Smith

They can be even more peeved when McCain/Palin take the White House. I guess MSM will keep this up for the next 16 years.

  • Seattle Moss

    Larry,
I’m glad that you haven’t drank the koolaid yet. I was bummed when you said you wouldn’t vote for McCain.
I know your trying to be impartial to stimulate debate, but I think this site needs to flat out be a Pro McCain site with the goal of fixing the democrat party.

  • Jackarooty

People, this MSNBC hot mic debacle is NOT GOOD.

Mike Murphy is a long term personal friend of McCain.

This does not bode well unless the RNC is really locked and loaded (figuratively, please!) and just aim the hoses on Obama after the convention.

  • John Smith

I think is perfect it shows the bias. It does not matter who was actually talking. Plus any people who just pretend to support McCain but actually are working against him will do a lot more damage then any of the lefties could.

I was hoping that you might touch on the BS from the media concerning Noonan and Murphy. What they write about Palin is sure not what they were talking about on a hot mike today.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrG8w4bb3kg&eurl=http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0908/Noonan_Murphy_trash_Palin_on_hot_mic_Its_over.html

“It’s over,” said Noonan, and then responded to a question of whether Palin is the most qualified Republican woman McCain could have chosen.

“The most qualified? No. I think they went for this — excuse me — political bullsh** about narratives,” she said. “Every time Republicans do that … because that’s not where they live and it’s not what they’re good at and they blow it.”

    Murphy chimed in:

“The greatness of McCain is no cynicism, and this is cynical.”

Noonan’s blunt call contrasted with her conflicted column today saying Palin “could become a transformative political presence.”

“The Sarah Palin choice is really going to work, or really not going to work,” Noonan wrote. “It’s not going to be a little successful or a little not; it’s not going to be a wash. She is either going to be magic or one of history’s accidents. She is either going to be brilliant and groundbreaking, or will soon be the target of unattributed quotes by bitter staffers shifting blame in all the Making of the President 2008 books.”

All I can say is the goose stepping Obama minion soldiers must be pretty damn scared as well as the media and Obama’s campaign to be spending SO MUCH TIME trying to trash the VP-LOL, it’s actually pretty funny watching them scatter like cockroaches. They are protesting in front of the RNC convention and they’ve already made 300 arrests. It’s hilarious, they are making blatant, utter fools of themselves. They ain’t got nothin’ so they are making shit up. LMAO…..

    2008 Voter Packing List

    BY:soldier4hillary

Cell Phone: To call for help in case the Obama surrogate in the booth with you “helping” you vote gets physical.

Camera: To record all of those dead voters and that guy who was there an hour earlier voting under a different name.

Friend (or as we say “Battle Buddy” in the army): To run for help if the Obama supporter in the booth with you happens to get physical when you write Senator Clintons name in.

Medic: To help clean up the Obots when they explode after Obama loses.

Pictures of Obama: In case your location has large amounts of Obama supporters, you will need pictures of there messiah in case there is trouble. By showing his picture, it will momentarily stun them because they will be unable to look away. Almost like a deer caught in headlights of a passing car.

Food/Water: To sustain you while you camp outside 24hrs before (3 Nov) to vote for Clinton or Mccain/Palin to make sure your vote counts

Trashbags: To pick up all the ballots secretly thrown away that were replaced with ballots marked “Obama/Biden”.

Please go to the polling locations in groups of three to four.

One item for McCain, tonight is church night in many places. Sarah Palin speaking to evangelicals will be missed by many of them.

He might have her mention as much in the speech.

Wed. is church family night for many. You don’t have to attend church just to honor deity. You don’t have to be a family member to have their confidence in representing them as Governor. You can uphold many of the best ideals you espouse from civic and religious life without bearing the standard of any particular group or faith. Instead there are universal values that you can do this with, and still be fully enacted within your own faith. Just as church can uphold family and personal faith can uphold deity, you can find ways of adding personal value to faith. Within service of government you can do this without legislating morality, because spirituality is a personal choice, trying to impose it will not bear the same reward that one would yield cultivating it from their own motivations.

The fabric of American society is interwoven with symbolism in its flag, featuring many colors in union behind ideals of plurality and liberty. There is an ideal that each person can celebrate their own values within this and still share a greater overall pledge for the common good.

As for family values, I’d think Americans finding out about a 1,200 dollar rebate from big oil, for each Alaskan, is valuation of its own. Most Americans would find that to be as affirmative a vote for each citizen’s own ability to determine what their values are.

We need someone to even the balance scales out in fundamental terms. I’d usually say Democrats do that better, but I’ve yet to see the ticket really uphold that at any time.

Palin actually moved to doing just that where it counts most. You can’t have family values on thin wallets. Can she take that next step to apply this same regard to Americans as a whole, as she did for Alaskans?

  • Andrew

Does anyone else think that McCain knows something that we don’t know? How can he be so confident? I like Palin but he is getting an avalanche of bad press. He has balls of titanium.

  • http://getobamafacts.blogspot.com Jonathan

So are Peggy Noonan, Todd Murphy, and Ben Stein all biased too?

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/hot-mic-in-st-p.html

Todd: I mean is she really the most qualified woman they could have turned to?

Noonan: The most qualified? No. I would think they went for the, excuse me, political bulls**t about narratives…

Noonan: Every time Republicans do that, because that’s not where they live and it’s not what they’re good at, they blow it.

Murphy: You know what’s really the worst thing about it? The greatness of McCain is no cynicism and this is cynical.

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/09/will-palin-win.html

“I don’t know if she scares Obama, but she scares me — and I hope I turn out to be totally wrong — but right now she’s scaring me. He’s has chosen a very oddball, strange choice and, god bless him, I hope it works out for him.”

It doesn’t make any difference what Palin says or how well received her speech is. The long knives are out.

Hillary has done everything short of a strip tease for Obama and it’s still not enough.

The same mindset has been transferred to Palin.

The media has their meme. Obama is historic, period.
A woman takes away from that meme. It makes the Republican ticket equally historic. They and their Corporate masters do not like to be blindsided.

Murphy says this is cynical? How long has he been in politics? Heck, I’m a way outsider and I’m cynical when it comes to politics. Murphy sounds like someone who wasn’t consulted – and doesn’t like it.

  • Go Sarah

Mike and Peggy were caught on a hot mic doubting Sarah abilities and Mccain for pickign her. Mike Murphy and Peggy Noonan are not on JM paid staff. Anyone can call themselves consultants or strategists. They knew full well that mic was on. THis is elction is now about John Mccain and Sarah Palin fighting both republican and democrat hypocrits. Go Sarah. It’s a fight for the mavericks and a new republican party.

McCain must know something. The top-ranking Repubs look all cheery. They are partying. McCain went out and greeted Levi. He just did a press conference for women. Joe Lieberman is risking his political life. I can’t believe any of these things would be happening if they didn’t know something. Remember when they were really beat in 1996, when Dole was stumbling on stage and Repubs were in the dumps?

  • Lochos Vestu

You know, I have never supported the Republicans before, but this election is really upside down. This election really blew the cover of how cruel, nasty and downright mean (in the words of Michelle Obama, the “$600 is only enough to buy yourself a pair of earrings” mean wife of that dishonest phony Obama) the media and “Democratic” Obama supporters can really be.

My human conscience compels me this election cycle to support John McCain and Sarah Palin. I simply cannot stand such cruel, nasty and hateful attacks on Sarah Palin. They did it first to Hillary, and now they are doing it to Sarah.

I don’t know. But they say she’s not the most qualified person he could find. Perhaps he should have picked Elizabeth Dole. She’s been around for a while. She’s also a DC insider.

Obama’s running on the outside the beltway meme. The fresh face meme. Palin is about as outside as you can get with executive experience. That makes her odd?

I don’t trust Noonan or any of them. These are the same people who said Gore said he invented the Internet. He never said that. These are the same people who said Al Gore lied about Love Story and and Love Canal. He didn’t.

I’m seeing the same mindset here that I saw when the Clinton’s came to DC. Who do these Arkansas hicks think they are? I’m hearing the same thing about Palin. Who does this hick from a small town in Alaska think she is?

The smell of elitism is overwhelming.

Here’s a question. Suppose I were to go to a police complaint board, as an ordinary citizen, and give the same evidence Palin gave to her police commissioner. If the offending cop isn’t fired pretty soon, don’t you think the local press would howl, and a lot of people would complain about how domestic abuse and domestic threats aren’t taken seriously? And I guess part II of the question is — would you want someone with Monegan’s judgment being your top cop?

  • OUTRAGED

I guess I’m a leeeeetle confused, PUMA. I just looked up sexism in my dictionary and it said, “Discrimination against people on the basis of sex; discrimination agianst, and prejudicial stereotyping of, women.”

Now, if Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton have been victims of sexism as defined here, then VERY clearly, Michelle Obama has been a victim of sexism AND racism as well. Maybe someone here can explain to me why it’s okay to host beauty pageants on THIS website between Cindy McCain and Michelle Obama, refer to Michelle as King Kong, gorilla, Aunt Esther, she-male, ball buster, etc, etc, etc. but NOT to legitimately question Sarah Palin’s credentials to be a heartbeat away from running the free world?!??????

  • candymarl

Navyvet48 another vet here. Is there a number we can call? I can’t believe it’s legal to register people with a 527 vs. a local election board. Isn’t that where the registrations should be sent?

  • candymarl

Well, the difference is they’re not questioning Palin’s credentials. They’re questioning the maternity and paternity of her child. They’re questioning the morals of her daughter.

Michelle Obama is an adult. Sarah Palin’s son is an infant. Sarah Palin’s daughter is 17 not a legal adult.

Michelle Obama didn’t mind implying the Clinton’s were racists. She didn’t mind moving into a mansion that Rezko, convicted felon, helped buy. While other black people in her husband’s district lived in sub-standard housing. Housing owned by Rezko. Has she tried to help them at all? No. In fact her husband claimed he didn’t even know about these things although they happened in his district. Seems racist to me.

The majority of criticism hasn’t been of Palin herself or her positions. It’s been of her children and their parentage.

Hillary’s been accused of murder. I don’t think Michelle has ever had to deal with that.

“I’m seeing the same mindset here that I saw when the Clinton’s came to DC. Who do these Arkansas hicks think they are? I’m hearing the same thing about Palin. Who does this hick from a small town in Alaska think she is?”

That’s how I feel about how the Obamas have been handled by the media. Bill Clinton thinks the same thing, as evidenced by his remark during his wildly enthusiastic speech in support of Obama last week. “Now some people said I was too young, too inexperienced,” he said, referring to how he was ridiculed by the pundits for being too young and wet behind the ears (as well as radical) when he first hit the scene. I swear, you people are living in an alternate universe somewhere if you really think the Obamas have gotten kid glove treatment. Where the hell were you when you couldn’t turn a channel without Rev Wright’s mug lighting up the screen? What about Michelle’s remark about this being proud of her country, which was taken WAY out of context blanketing the airwaves for weeks on end? What about viral smear campaigns involving gay trysts with fat pathological convicts? Or ones involving Ayers, Rezco, 20 year old theses, smudged birth certificates?!?? Or what about the HOAX seeded here at THIS WEBSITE about a WHITEY TAPE that never materialized?!??

What makes me the sickest, I think, is that these are the same kinds of smears that dogged the Clintons for 8 years and you people were the loudest opponents of those vicious attacks at the time. And look at you now, just sickos wallering around in bed with the enemy.

Politico has an article on sexism:

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0908/13129.html

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Sarah Palin found some unlikely allies Wednesday as leading academics and even former top aides to Hillary Rodham Clinton endorsed the Republican charge that John McCain’s running mate has been subject to a sexist double standard by the news media and Democrats.

Georgetown University professor Deborah Tannen, who has written best-selling books on gender differences, said she agrees with complaints that Palin skeptics — including prominent voices in the news media — have crossed a line by speculating about whether the Alaska governor is neglecting her family in pursuit of national office.

“What we’re dealing with now, there’s nothing subtle about it,” said Tannen. “We’re dealing with the assumption that child-rearing is the job of women and not men. Is it sexist? Yes.”

“There’s no way those questions would be asked of a male candidate,” said Howard Wolfson a former top strategist for Clinton’s presidential campaign. ***
    [snip]

Here are a few interesting observations about the double standard:

Former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) was more frequently praised for his perseverance than hazed for misplaced priorities when he continued his presidential campaign even after wife Elizabeth Edwards was diagnosed with an incurable form of cancer. The couple has two children still at home, ages 10 and 8.

Edwards was himself a close finalist for a vice presidential nod in 2000, when Al Gore nearly tapped him at a time when he had served the same amount of time in the U.S. Senate that Palin has as Alaska governor, and about the same amount of time that Barack Obama had served when he began his presidential quest two years ago.

I think the National Enquirer story THREAT is just a ROPE-A-DOPE from Obama…

He wants to SCARE THE SHIT OUT OF HER….and for some it’s working….

but she is a tough broad, and pitbull, a baracuda….(by the way none of those creatures are good looking)

  • Peggy Noonan

From talkingointsmemo: Conveniently, Gallup released new numbers this afternoon that allow us to quantify the divergent trends you’ve fingered. In the three days following Palin’s selection, McCain brought his level of support among Republican women up five points to 90%, and eliminated his nagging gender gap. But that’s just within the GOP. Independents and Democrats reacted to Palin’s selection by turning to Obama – and his gains have more than offset McCain’s, leaving him with a substantial lead.

Looks like PUMAs are a small group who will have little impact on the campaign. We’ll always have NoQuarter.

  • Susan1968

When the Obama Bots circulate the “Alaska Separatist” smear which the TIMES retracted yesterday (A retraction never stops the bots from spreading lies), paste this in response of the video they say shows Sarah addressing the group:

The sole connection between Palin and the separatist party is that, while mayor of Wasilla, she attended the group’s convention in her town in her official capacity as mayor and in the performance of her duties.

The Enquirer gets a story on Edwards with pictures the MSM won’t touch it. They ignored it for a long as possible. They get a story on Palin and the MSM can’t wait to report it.

    Huh.

Thanks for the feedback Katmandon’t…in disguise

you always post the same crap.

  • is it true??

larry sinclair has NO PROOF! Of course his story would mean millions of sales BUT the fact is the career criminal can not pass a lie detector test..he has conned people over the internet into send him money to help bring down Obama- he hired a lawyer who was not legally allowed to practice law who shows up at a press conference wearing a kilt. and you know Fox News and Hannity would love for Sinclair’s story to be true- even they wont touch Sinclair. Also you have to remember after the Edward’s story broke big- the paper had proof- there source was able to pass a lie detector test. Once again something Lair Sinclair can not do

  • TwoTermObama

Gosh, maybe the Clintons really meant it when they said they’d be working to get Obama elected!

As National Enquirer news of a possible John Edwards love child makes it way around the world, a fun fact to know is that a key owner of the Enquirer is a prominent New York investment banker and one of Hillary Clinton’s key backers, Roger Altman.

Altman’s investment group, Evercore Partners, bought a controlling stake in American Media, which publishes the Enquirer, in 1999. The president of Evercore, Austin Beutner, sits on American Media’s Board of Directors.

Altman served in Bill Clinton’s administration as United States Deputy Treasury Secretary, and his name is sometimes mentioned as a possible Hillary Clinton Treasury Secretary

Palin sought more taxes and more development from oil companies

In her first speech as Sen. John McCain’s running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin claimed a credential that might resonate with a nation blanching at the cost of gasoline — a record of taking on Big Oil.
“Along with fellow reformers in the great state of Alaska, as governor, I’ve stood up to the old politics as usual, to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good-old-boy network,” Palin said, speaking to a crowd in Dayton, Ohio, after McCain introduced her to the nation on Aug. 29, 2008. “When oil and gas prices went up so dramatically and the state revenues followed with that increase, I sent a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska. And we are now — we’re now embarking on a $40-billion natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence.”

We’ve already checked her claim that she sent “a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska.” We ruled it True.
So here we’ll examine whether she really stood up to the big oil companies, some of the most influential players in Alaska’s political scene.

Palin was sworn in as governor on Dec. 4, 2006. Over the course of 2007, she fought to raise taxes on oil companies. Alaska gets about 85 percent of its state revenue from oil taxes, and as fuel prices skyrocketed, Palin complained the state wasn’t getting its share of the windfall. She successfully pushed for a law that raised taxes on oil profits to 25 percent from 22.5, winning passage in the State Legislature in November 2007. The increase amounted to an estimated $1.6-billion annually more for the state.

Oil companies had opposed the increase, with executives saying it would discourage them from investing in the state. BP Alaska president Doug Suttles said after the Legislature passed the increase: “I can only hope that once the impact of this legislation is clear, the administration and the Legislature will revisit the issue.”
So yes, with respect to taxes, Palin stood up to big oil companies.

Palin has also sparred with big oil companies over who gets to build a pipeline to carry natural gas to market from Alaska’s North Slope. The fields there have enormous gas reserves, but so far they have remained largely untapped due to the lack of a pipeline. Palin’s predecessor, Frank Murkowski, supported a contract between the state and BP, ConocoPhillips and Exxon Mobil to develop the pipeline. Palin opposed that, promising to consider other companies.

Indeed, after she was elected she solicited other bids, and ended up supporting a proposal by TransCanada Corp. to build a 1,715-mile pipeline down the Alaska Highway and through Canada. Exxon, ConocoPhillips and BP all criticized Palin’s move to give the job to the Calgary-based company.

“She has taken an independent position and she has been protective of state sovereignty,” said Gerald McBeath, political science professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
So in the pipeline battle as well, Palin took on big oil.

Palin also continued efforts Murkowski had launched to take back leases the state had awarded to Exxon Mobil, BP, Chevron and ConocoPhillips in the giant Point Thomson oil and gas field. Alaska officials were annoyed that the companies had not developed the field, which would boost state revenue. The companies said the fields posed technical challenges.
In that respect as well, Palin stood up to big oil.

“Obama Voted For Bush/Cheney Energy Bill, Written In Secret By Industry Lobbyists”

    - New York Times OBAMA’S SUPPORT FOR BUSH/CHENEY ENERGY POLICY

Sen. Obama voted for the 2005 Energy Bill, written in secret by Vice President Cheney and the energy lobby. Thomas Friedman referred to the bill as “the sum of all lobbies.” U.S. PIRG noted that the bill’s “heavy tilt toward big oil companies reflects the influence of Exxon Mobil and other oil companies on policy-makers in Washington, DC.”

The Washington Post editorialized that the bill was a “piñata of perks for energy industries.” Indeed, the bill contained $6 billion in subsidies to the oil and gas industry and $12 billion to the nuclear power industry.

Although Sen. Obama voted for the legislation, he has spoken as if he opposed it on the campaign trail, criticizing it repeatedly. At a presidential debate he said “You can look at how Dick Cheney did his energy policy…he met with oil and gas companies forty times, and that’s how they put together our energy policy.” He’s attributed the failure of our current energy policy to Congress’s “failure to stand up to the lobbyists.”

Sen. Obama’s rhetoric blasting the policies of Vice President Dick Cheney and energy lobbyists can be stirring. But Obama’s actions haven’t matched his words.

    Read the details:
U.S. PIRG: ‘The [2005 Energy Bill] energy law’s heavy tilt toward big oil companies reflects the influence of Exxon Mobil and other oil companies on policy-makers in Washington, DC’: “The new energy law’s heavy tilt toward big oil companies reflects the influence of ExxonMobil and other oil companies on policy-makers in Washington, DC.” [U.S. Public Interest Research Group, "How Exxon Mobil and the Oil Industry Benefit from the 2005 Energy Bill," 8/2005]

Washington Post: 2005 Energy Bill was ‘a piñata of perks for energy industries’: The Washington Post said, “…The energy bill, touted as a way to reduce dependence on foreign oil or moderate gasoline prices, has been turned into a piñata of perks for energy industries.” [Washington Post, 7/30/05]
Energy Bill gave $6 billion in subsidies to oil & gas industry and $12 billion in subsidies to nuclear power industry: [Public Citizen, "The Best Energy Bill Corporations Could Buy," citizen.org]

Substantial lead? Kerry was in doube digits at this point and he still lost. You might want to remember that.

  • Hope

That is fantastic. She not only welcomes an investigation into whethert she has acted unethically, but she actually requires it be done.
And the media went crazy reporting her hiring of a lawyer, as if it were an admission of guilt.
I haven’t heard a word on this though.
Obamabots, hold onto your seats..Palin is not backing down. Throw around whatever you like to see what sticks. She has acted in the best interest of her constituents…and will do so when that includes all Americans.
The more dirt you throw, the more dirt will fly on Obama, too.

  • Hope

    Give it time,lemming.
You’d be a fool to believe the polls at this point.
But, that’s a bit redundant- you support Obama.

Link please. Oh and Ayers actually built bombs and people were killed. He also has no remorse to this day. He fled the country and got off on a technicality. Trying to buy something and succeeding are two different things. As the man is dead he can’t defend himself. Ayers is still unrepentant according to his own words.

It figures, Ms Noonan that you’d go for a dead man. Say, did Al Gore still invent the internet? Just asking.

Oh I see…it’s ok for Michelle to attack Hill and Bill with sexist remarks like if she can’t keep her own house then she doesn’t deserve the White House.

And clearly, it is ok with you for the Obamas to falsely smear the Clintons as racists on the global scale as well.

Since this website posted Rev Mannings words about Michelle. That puts it all into perspective.

Geez…talk about twisting reality for your own benefit.

I just read some of the “Trash” and the comments that were left on those sewer’s blogs and I am disgusted and feeling a bit stupid for “EVER” posting at the “Big Cheeto” site!

I am angered at what Obama and his campaign has allowed to happen to our Dem Party.
I know some will say that “HE” didn’t attack Palin. I know there are some that claim he did not attack Hillary in a sexist manner. I say Bullshit!

He allowed his campaign to spread the trash about Hillary and he still takes Money from Daily Kooks! He made this bed, now he will sleep in it!

I know he does not have control over what the “Children” do but he does have control on what they say on those sites! His lame ass attempt at chivalry today disgusted me!
I told my wife today that he would come out and “TRY” to distance himself from those nasty rumors. He only made it worse in my eyes!
Where was he and his campaign ( and the DNC ) when they attacked Hillary?

I give the Republicans alot of credit and their stock went up in my view tremendously for circling the wagons and coming to her defense as quick as they did.

  • tampagurl

The Enquirer quotes anonymous sources. I never trust anonymous sources and just because the Enquirer got one thing right doesn’t mean they have become a legitimate news source.

  • Obama is a bum

The Obama campaign and Obama media planned on attacking anyone McCain picked as VP since McCain is superior to Obama and Obama has the worst sketltons in his closet than all other presidental nominees combined.

The were ready to attack Romney and the Mormons but they are ticked off they did not get the chance. If the best they can do is attack the VP’s pregnant daughter then they are grasping at straws already.

The pigs are trying to get McCain to drop Palin as VP so he could never recover and lose the election. It is up to Palin now who is under intense pressure and sexism due to a media that has an infatuation with a severly flawed candidate that they refuse to address.

  • http://www.theindependentview.com Matthew Weaver

I just read the NYMag article (link above) and am very offended. This reflects so little class and shallow disrepect to be simply repugnant. The crude characterization of Palin’s daughter is simply inappropriate as has been most of the media response. I realize that this is driven by the nutroots blogs but it is painfully obvious that the media has lost all sense of decency. Shame on them, shame on the readers that enjoy this, and shame on the advertisers that fund it.

  • Obama is a bum

Murphy wanted Romney to be picked and thought that would be the case.

  • alexei

LOL! Go away comparing Obama to Big Dawg – Obama is an arrogant narcissist who has no idea how to relate to working class Americans while Hillary and Bill are loved and respected.

I guessed it before ya’all did it – calling Murphy and Noonan “mainstream media”. Um, sorry – Murphy is a friend of McCain’s and was working on his campaign earlier this year. Noonan worked for Reagan and for Bush and has been part of the Republican establishment forever. The truth hurts.

(Ben Stein, another long-time Republican, had some unkind words for her today as well.)

  • Mr.Murder

You mean when Clinton turned his hand down and swept the talk of Obama behind him during the speech, like he was discarding a piece of junk?

Yeah, that’s a real confidence builder. The body language indicated his own displeasure with the nominee and how he campaigned against the Clinton Legacy.

The same kind of smears the Obama people used on Clinton will soon come home to roost.

  • Deep Truths

That is the MSM narrative: how does Sarah Palin experience stack up to Barack Obama’s experience?

Ridicules. What’s nice is that the toadies of MSNBC and CNN will go down wih Obama for not vetting him 1/1000th of the energy put into bringing Sarah down. The McCain campaign is right to put the media bias front and center so that the media has to report on the story. They have to do a defensive spin on themselves.

  • Deep Truths

Scary. No numbers in your post is akin to not having a price on a piece of merchandise. Who’s buying this BS? You.

He dropped 2 points. Six points is not substantial. Republicans have not finished their convention. Come back and tell us then – when a poll would be relevant.

  • candymarl

Yes, because every criticism of the Obama’s has been met with cries of racism. Has anyone targeted Obama’s children? No. They felt no such reluctance with Palin’s kids. Has anyone referred to Michelle as a c*nt, wh*re, or b*tch in the media? No? They called Hillary all of those names. Both Bill and Hillary have been accused of murder. This wasn’t just whack-job conspiracy nuts talking about it. It was the MSM.

Obama’s birth certificate(BC) questions are his own fault. It was the Obama camp that floated the idea that McCain was not a citizen because his father, a member of the US military, was stationed overseas. McCain’s reaction? He neither blamed, smeared, nor accused. He called a press conference and produced an original BC which he allowed reporters to examine. He didn’t call anyone a conspiracy theorist. He publicly produced a document.

I’ve around a long time and I’ve seen Republicans less vicious toward Democratic opponents than Obama and the Democratic leadership were toward Hillary.

If your surrogates can attack a Downs Syndrome infant and a 17 y/o girl then you better learn to suck it up.
