My friends, Barack Obama has never, ever built a campaign speech around mocking or belittling Hillary Clinton as a person. The last few days, I have been reading these posts about Hillary and, frankly, I am confused. People who call themselves Hillary’s supporters have busy with their keyboards giving their opinions about what she should or should not do, selfishly thinking about how they feel is right for Hillary. Anyone who has watched her campaign knows she will not use sexist comments against another woman to get BO elected. She still doesn’t believe he can be elected. I wasn’t the target of attacks for fifteen months, but I despise him and his campaign for what they have done. I hate to see her help him in any way at all, but I am not going to take it upon myself to judge what she is doing or at what point she will feel she has kept her promise and can move on. It has been a week since McCain announced Gov. Palin will be his running mate and the attacks against her are being made by the same people who reviled Hillary. They are empty headed sexist and hate mongers. I want Obama to lose big in Nov. because I don’t want them in charge of my party, but I want Hillary to be in good standing with the rest of the party when this fiasco is over so she can do the things she wants to do for Americans and I hope that means she will be president in four years. I don’t expect her to attack another female candidate based on rumors and lies and sexism. She has been the target of that for too long, but I don’t expect her to destroy any chance she has by supporting someone who has a different set of values either.

The thing is that I have no doubt Obama is running an extremely shady show with the Democratic Party. (The Democratic Machine in Chicago represents a depressing reality for an idealist.) The thing is, though, while I used to somewhat admire McCain for his “maverick” status, I cannot hear his recent changes in policy without imagining RNC holding a gun up to his family and making him say these things. Thus, RNC and DNC will do equal harm for this country. In my opinion, there is not a “lesser than two evils” Obama and McCain.

Thus, Ron Paul represents the only true politician outside of the political machine. Well, maybe Ralph Nader too, but I think that Ron Paul is more deeply rooted in Constitutional ideals.

Though I’m definitely the odd man out with my choice to vote for Ron Paul, I still see it as an exercising of my constitutional rights to vote for whoever I feel will put the country’s interests ahead of party interests. That’s ultimately why I’m voting for Ron Paul.

I hope that people do support Hillary in 2012, and I agree that a McCain presidency is better than an Obama presidency, but I think time is better spent advocating for McCain, who I like, and think is a good man. I support McCain not Palin, and although I don’t mind her being her VP, I couldn’t support her for President. So I am all for Clinton 2012, but for now, since I don’t live in a swing state, I am voting Green.

I don’t think many people are siding with Palin over Clinton. However I have a newsflash for you. Clinton is out of the running for president. People are siding with Palin over Obama regardless of what Hillary says. Would it be ok with you if I supported Hillary but have chosen not to vote for Obama? Does it make me less of a supporter because I will not toe the party line because she asked me to? Does the fact that, I think Palin seems like a genuine person somehow lessen my respect for Hillary? In particular, he said, the investigation into her firing of that state trooper is not a good idea, because the guy is a bad character who once tasered a child. “Would you want to be seen as defending a guy who tasered a child?”

Having lived in No Calif for half my life, my experience was that there is a lot of peer pressure to try and be the most liberal. Obama is not a true liberal. A large part of what prompted groups like the PUMAs to form was a deep sense of rage towards this rampant misogyny. Any woman who runs for President or VP is going to be subject to this kind of childishness, until that glass wall is busted through.

I am sure some have, but it seems like many in the media are only reporting that Palin tried to get her brother in law fired in a bitter divorce situation, and they leave it at that. Example: Look for the trooper reference in this story.

Maybe they should expend some energy investigating what her concerns were about the trooper. Or maybe they don’t have any energy left because they’re spending it all analyzing her pregnancies, her daughter’s pregnancy, and whether or not she can handle a job while raising young kids.

Would public perception be different if the public knew the details of “Trooper-gate”? Might the public come to believe that Palin did the right thing in bringing her concerns to the forefront about the trooper’s continued employment as a keeper of the public trust? You decide. He was officially found to have violated the law and/or policy in four occasions

They found he used a taser on his stepson

He told others his father in law would eat a “f’ng lead bullet”

He drank in his squad car

He was disciplined or given instructions to correct his behavior by supervisors seven times before the Palins ever got involved
