I am not concerned or worried about John McCain. I believe, as does Bill Clinton, that he is a true Patriot and loves this country - America! I believe the same of Sara Palin. John McCain is a maverick and has crossed the aisle several times - indeed has voted against Bush/Cheyney proposals when Barack [REMOVED BY ADMINISTRATOR] Obama has voted for them. Soetoro/Obama is more dangerous for America and Americans than any right wing Republican could ever be - and I am positive McCain is no right-wing Republican.

Sara Palin seems to be a sensible kind of Governor who believes in fighting injustices and has, and in looking after her state's financial interests. With her coming involvement in 'children with special needs' I don't think it will be long before she takes a good look at health care in that regard and the costs currently before the average American - of which she is one. I would hope that Senator Hillary Clinton could sit down and discuss that with her. We are all in one country not two separate ones.

John McCain is going to use Democrats and Independents in his government - he truly is a maverick. I like him - he is an honest man and a Gentleman. He and none other was praising of Hillary Clinton during her trials throughout the primaries - that I won't forget as I won't forget how unpleasant, dirty and evil the Obama crowd coupled with the dnc and media were to and about her. I hope Hillary remembers that.

Fact is the Democratic Party, as it is now, is a rabid anti-democratic party - full of hate towards any who do not support their non-vetted candidate Soetoro/Obama.

Dozens of private citizens have delved into Senator Obama's background. If they hadn't, we wouldn't know he used the last name of Soetoro while in Indonesia or that his parents listed his citizenship as Indonesian. We wouldn't know the Hawaii birth certificate was doctored. It's the work by these private citizens that Berg has based much of his lawsuit on.

I'm curious why so many who participate in this blog are drinking the Palin Kool-aid? If bloggers hadn't been suspicious of Senator Obama's claims, we wouldn't have ferreted out the facts we have now discovered.

I'm happy Palin is the vice president nominee. She's given McCain's campaign new life and I hope her rising star keeps rising through November 4th. But if there are skeletons in her background, it's better to bring them up now so the McCain campaign has time to recover. Having them show up on October 30th could hurt.

A speech she gave at her church in Wasilla after she became governor is questionable. She's talking to what appears to be young adults who are missionaries for the church. She asks them to pray for the natural gas pipeline because the will of God will be needed to get it constructed. She also states the war in Iraq is a task from God. Which I found discomforting since extremist Muslims tend to use a similar argument. But what I found kind of alarming (beyond mingling of God and government, but she was speaking to a religious audience) is the pastor speaks after Governor Palin and says something catastrophic will happen to the lower 48 states and the refugees will flock into Alaska who will need the ministry of the church. This is Governor Palin's childhood church that she supposedly has since broken away from because they became too weird for her. But that was in an email filled with spin. I'd like to know if it's fact she has broken away from them. The speech had to have been within the last year because she is referred to as governor and she mentions her eldest son's age.

Is the Puma party line is that we're going to ignore stuff like this, pretend it doesn't exist and hope the Obamabots don't find it? It's not going to work, they've already found videos of the speech I mentioned and have their comments popping up all over it. Parts one and two of the church video (watch only the first few minutes of the second part, the rest is Obamabot propaganda and not worth the bandwidth):

Hope --

You missed what I was saying with the Charles Manson comment -- figure it out. I wasn't equating the woman to a killer -- I was pointing out the difficulty in how to value someone's words.

Every one has an agenda, so that accusation is just stupid.

And yes -- I am 'bigoted', if you'd call it that, against the religious right. INTENSELY. And if you're one of them, let's just stop talking now.

No indivdual will ever garner honest praise from everyone...that is not human nature. Try sitting in any organizational meeting, and then listen to the after effect.
So far, Gov. Palin is holding her own, and my impression is that she would have been honest with McCain about potential pitfalls!
I hope that is the case!

" I will vote McCain/Palin because I want Obama to lose (and with him the entire party leadership) - nothing more."

Garden, I want Senator Obama and the entire DNC leadership to lose too. To bring that about, I'm willing to vote for Senator McCain. However, what I've discovered about Governor Palin (not from spin laden emails, but from print media), I'm not comfortable with. I wouldn't vote Republican if she was at the head of the ticket, I'd vote third party, write in or abstain.

Even though Governor Palin has the vice president slot, I still want to know the facts, not the spin concerning her. I'm done with watching CNN (well, Fox these days), grumbling at the tv and then putting whatever is going on within our government out of my mind. The last eight years has had a negative effect on my life and I'm not going to sit quietly by for the next four if things aren't getting better for me. I'm going to participate and raise my voice. Governor Palin's policies are ones I don't agree with and several are contrary to Senator McCain's history of voting. If his administration begins leaning towards Governor Palin's policies, I'll speak up.

I've been an avid reader of No Quarter for several months now. I've enjoyed it because the contributors do a very good job of taking the spin, shaking it up and discovering the facts. Over the past week where it concerns Governor Palin, I haven't seen it. There's been a tendency to take the good spin about her and believe it's gospel, while attacking any negative spin. That's how the Obamabots operate. I know we're all desperate to believe that we're doing the right thing in not voting for Senator Obama and keeping our fingers crossed that Senator McCain wins (whether we're voting for him or selecting another option), but putting our heads in the sand concerning Governor Palin isn't the way to do it. We should be well informed about her, know the factual truth - both good and bad before we vote in November.

I've been surprised by the tendency over the past week not to delve into Governor Palin's background the way we have with Senator Obama. Are people afraid that they'll discover she's too conservative for them, she has a few skeletons and that will make it impossible for them to vote for Senator McCain?

Agreed, R.C.

One of the things I respect about Palin is that she strongly holds her own views but does not impose them on others....which is what an ideological administration does. That is important to me.

One of her first acts as governor was to reject a legislative bill banning benefits to gay couples. She did what she should have: contacted the AG and got legal opinion, and vetoed it on that basis. And she is not pro-gay marraige. That speaks volumes in itself.

They don't call her "Governor" for no reason.

Every election I make the mistake of getting attached to a candidate only to be disapointed by him/her later (case in point: John Kerry). These primaries I decided not to repeat that mistake. I voted for Hillary because I thought she's the better of the 2 candidates and because I admired her fighting spirit and her refusal to listen to the talking heads and the party leadership and withdraw from the race. Living in PA, I was glad to be able to make a CHOICE and not just follow what was already decided.
McCain is a politician. So is Palin (or Hillary for that matter). I don't expect them to be perfect and I'm not going to get upset about every "revelation" or pseudo-revelation about them (unless it's something really big and important). I will vote McCain/Palin because I want Obama to lose (and with him the entire party leadership) - nothing more.
