he has said many times (check out u tube) that he is a muslim. of course he hasnt said it here in the U.S., but he has said it in countries with large muslim populations. going as far as admitting to the pres. of egypt that he is a muslim. if thats not enough proof, in his(?) book he states "if the winds of politics shift in an ugly direction, i will stand with the muslims" how much more proof do we need than his own words?

so he needed to speak to a whole bunch of experts to tell him who's ass to kick? even that he couldnt come up with himself? since he claimed he was " ready on day one", why does he always need a gaggle of people to tell him what to do? do you think hillary would have been sitting around sucking her thumb and waiting for someone to tell her what to do? instead we have an incompetent fool whose only claim to fame was being a community organizer..and he can't even organize a cleanup. i'd LOVE to know what hillary is thinking now about this bumbler in chief?

No Helenk...

Its not the gang who can't shoot straight.... Its about bureaucratic stupidity.... During Valdez. We ran out of boom. So some of the teams chained logs together and improvised, adapted and overcame the situation. Of course that is when boom was manufactured by the few and not required for response organization for classifications.

But right now the Admiral is right... they need all the boom they can get. Redundancy with boom is badly needed.

"It's unfamiliar territory for a former Coast Guard Academy football captain who has managed responses to crises that include the earthquake in Haiti, Katrina and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks."

Another reporter with his head up his ass! Unfamiliar territory to the United States Coast Guard? Give me a fucking break Evans. Next you'll expect an award for this story.....

NLBIB...

Maybe you should understand how the law actually works? But then again its the same ole NLBIB. All talk and no walk. You still have no given any specifics on what, when, where and how if this event is federalized. Just talky talky ... Now here is your chance to show everyone how brillent you really are?

So? Where are your specifics? Or are you Obama Jr.?

"A 16-year-old girl trying to sail solo around the world who was missing in treacherous seas in the Indian Ocean has been found by an Australian search plane and is in good condition, her parents said on Friday. "

Another idiot! The parents should be charged with being criminally negligent. This is no joke. Professional die at sea with the best of equipment on board. Life is dangerous enough and to place a minor in this type of situation is totally uncalled for.

These type of parents need their fucking heads examined.

Listen Teak...

I do not totally disagree with Onofre posting and I agree that BP going belly up is remote but it can happen if this spill gets worse. Yes BP can become a buyout target. Minus the associated liability and that is a very interesting possibility.

As far as the "They are one in the same. Not two distinct objects". Sometime reality and bullshit is very difficult to distinguish. But in this case is not that hard if you understand the facts. This is an oil spill not a moon shot. Look there is enough parties to blame to fill the Astrodome. That includes the Governor of Louisiana who is about as flat footed as one can imagine. He is running around like a chicken with his head cut off and not doing much better than his predecessor did during Katrina.

BP is running the show I have no doubt and doing a real lousy job at it. The rest is political theater. Whether you like it or not. While the ego's in the Gulf State Agencies are adding to the disaster. This spill is about "money to be made". Not by BP. But by every pirate contractor on the job . This is a win fall for them. I am one who believes that some contractors are purposely not doing the best they can in containment. Big bucks if oil gets to the beaches or marshes for them. Lots of work for the long term. So there is plenty of blame to go around here.

However still I see no sound advise on what to do or how to handle this event coming from anyone here. Just more talk the talk bullshit......

That is true, but it also sounds like BP was ina positionto bully everyone to meet the demands of a schedule and ignore safety issues. BP's fingerprints are on every safety failure that I have seen.
