Shocking Breaking News: Democrats Smear Palin in the Most Base Way [Updates]

doncarolfowler21.jpg[UDPATE 2: New York Times photo of Don Fowler, former national chair of the Democratic party, and his wife, Carol Fowler, the chair of the South Carolina Democratic party who made the reprehensible remarks today.]

Jim VandeHei of Politico.com was just on Studio B With Shepherd Smith and repeated this shocker, written by Jonathan Martin at his blog at Politico.com:

S.C. Dem chair: Palin primary qualification is she hasn’t had an abortion

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate " whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Can you hear my jaw hitting the floor? That Carol Fowler has the cruel audacity to say that Sarah Palin’s sole qualification is that she hasn’t had her uterus scraped?

[UPDATE / GET THIS: Carol Fowler is the wife of Don Fowler, former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, who a couple weeks ago was ROOTING for Gustav to turn into a massive and deadly storm so it would wreck the GOP convention. Don Fowler also infamously attacked Hillary Clinton supporters who wanted a fair count of delegates at the DNC. And it was Carol Fowler who gave Obama permission to violate the DNC pledge that stipulated none of the candidates could campaign in FLorida before the primary, according to The Hill. h/t Katmandu for finding the verification that those two losers are married.]

But, wait: This Democratic chairwoman wasn’t done. Carol Fowler went on to smear all the women who are flocking to Sarah Palin:

“Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.

Told of McCain’s boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: “Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway.”

It’s the arrogance.

Not only is Barack Obama arrogant, but so are his supporters.

What else motivated Erica Jong to write that those attracted to Palin are “white trash”?

Just wait until “typical white women” hear this remark by Carol Fowler. Barack’s lipstick remarks were bad enough. Now this gutter tripe?

ALSO: It is key to keep pointing out that most of the women who write for and comment at this blog ARE Democrats. But we’re disgusted Democrats. We’re stunned by the sexism and terrible treatment that women are receiving in the Democratic party — from Hillary Clinton to each of us who’ve been viciously and repeatedly attacked by Obamabots.

No one described the complex set of feelings we Democratic women are feeling better than DCMediaGirl and Violet on their radio show last Friday night. Listen to the September 5th show for a fascinating discussion on why so many of us who are REAL liberals and almost always vote for the Democratic party are unable to support Barack Obama and also feel great empathy and respect for Gov. Sarah Palin.

  • buckybadgerboy

I asked on the previous thread – is she related to Don Fowler, former DNC Chair and co-author of the ‘just get over it” Hillary letter?

  • kcfromtx

This is a new low if it’s even possible anymore.

    This is so sad.

And this after Obamacus had to get all uppity and whine about GOP “swift boating”.

How the fuck is this sticking with the issues Obamacus?

I hate to get vulgar, but Obamacus really deserves a “fuck you asshole”.

  • katmandu

Excellent question. The answer is, amazingly, YES!

  • Truthteller

Fowler should issue an apology immediately. After all, she is the reason why Obama aired advertisements in Florida before the South Carolina primary.

I am stunned. In fact, I am mortified. Why are Democrats so obsessed with Sarah Palin’s anatomy?

  • beverly leslie

Wow, this is really terrible. Her statement is a perfect reflection of where the democratic party veered this election. Way off course, ending up in the trash.

I have switched over to an Independent voter and the Dems will have to earn my vote form now moving forward. They need some serious house cleaning to get back on track. Only when they show this resolve wil I consider voting for them again.

  • Paul3triple

WOW, no wonder we always lose.
That is why i switched to be a republican. I really think the dems are the party of hypocrisy and lies.
After watching most of the party stand up and defend rev. wright and bash the clintons i knew it was time to move on to a more welcoming home. The gop is it.
Palin is the future of the party. McCain is a maverick.
Dems have lost their minds. What is so sickening is their identity politics. They think they are the party of women? SHHH, only women pushing their agenda. Class warfare, gender bias and bashing, identity politics.
To much. Good riddance to the democratic party.
CNN is still running blatantly FALSE stories and trying so hard to destroy her.
I bet after her debate she will make biden look little and her performance will end the election.
It is a groundswell for this ticket. Nixon’s silent majority Deux.
Dems are so confused, disheartened, and shocked they do not know what they are doing and saying.
After the pig comment you get this from Fowler and its over. Stick in the knife and twist

As a gay man I am infuriated over how democratic party has acted this primary and the way women have been treated. If I was a women I would be absolutely screaming mad. How any woman (or minority) could stand by this is beyond me.

  • DisenfranchisedVoter

I think it’s so disappointing that many feminists like Jung and Steinem have backed Obama who used sexism to tear down their preferred candidate Hillary Clinton. Now they are going after a woman. Regardless of Palin’s political beliefs, I find it pretty shocking how far some of them will go for Obama even when he uses sexism. Something is going wrong with the Left and I don’t want to have any part of it. I hope some of these people can come to their senses after the election.

    W. T. F.

at least there is some slightly good news:

Democrat Barack Obama’s campaign has pulled ads running in Georgia and shifted some of its paid campaign staff from Georgia to North Carolina while contending that it’s not surrendering the state to Republican John McCain.

Obama has pledged to make Georgia, a Republican stronghold, a battleground for the November election, encouraged by the large number of blacks and young people who call the state home and who have been crucial to his success.

Although the changes come in the wake of tightening polls, Obama aides insist they still plan to compete in Georgia and note that two more campaign offices are set to open in the state, bringing the total to 35.

“We’ve got a terrific ground game there,” Obama campaign manager David Plouffe told reporters this week, noting that the campaign’s voter registration drives in the state have added 150,000 voters to the rolls.

Georgia hasn’t backed a Democrat for president since Southerner Bill Clinton in 1992.

“They are realizing this is a red state, this is a conservative state. Why spend your money where you can’t win?” Georgia Republican Party Chairwoman Sue Everhart said.

McCain lost Georgia’s Feb. 5 Republican primary to former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, a Baptist minister. That seemed to suggest his support in the state was soft. But his selection of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on the GOP ticket has energized the state’s evangelical voters.

I am totally disgusted. I’m trying to remember why for decades I believed in being a part of the Democratic Party. Why I sent money, supported, hoped and prayed for Democrats to win. What a disgrace. Its embarassing. Democraps in their quest for power have abandoned core Democratic principles. Does the New Democratic Party of Obama, Brazile and Dean have any principles left at all? Who the freak do they think they’re fooling? The Obama campaign is so utterly full of themselves they can’t see beyond their stuck up noses. I am so happy about the arrival of Palin. She is bringing out all the venomous style of hatred we Hillary supporters suffered during the primaries. Obama is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. His surrogates are UNACCEPTABLE. Americans should cast shame on them for their vile behaviors.

  • WMCB

Okay, this is it. I’M DONE. OVER. FINIS. I am voting a straight Republican ticket this year. There is no way all of this stuff is not coordinated – the Democratic Party is on an ORGANIZED WITCH HUNT to take this woman down by any hateful means necessary. They deserve to go into the political wilderness for 40 years. They DISGUST me.

    They are scum.

I am seething over the abort the baby comment. I am so mad I could SPIT or drop-kick some “junk”. These people are SICK. Forget the lipstick notes, I may just vomit all over the next DNC mail I receive and send it back.

I am trying to calm down enough to think whether I should ever vote for ANY of these Democratic fuckers ever again.

I have a handicapped daughter (cerebral palsy). I have also had an abortion. I have made painful and tough ( but right for me) choices on BOTH sides of this thing, and

YOU DO NOT FUCKING GO THERE. Ever. I am, as a woman and a mother, about ready to RIP SOME FUCKING HEADS OFF.

I feel raped right now. I honestly do. You can talk and argue all you want about policy re: choice vs. anti-choice, but you DO NOT attack an individual mother publicly for her decision.

  • educatedwhitewoman

OUTRAGEOUS. And, Obama, by his sexist AND race-baiting remarks (oh, yes, Neil C., made them non-stop during the primary), his actions, and the words and actions of his campaign and surrogates, including remarks by his dear wife – made throughout the primary and up until this very moment, is encouraging, aiding and abetting this vile behavior. When the horrible, nasty remarks aimed at Hillary were made, did Obama ever step up and say “stop it, there’s no place for this sort of garbage” – not so much. If Obama had not acted in the disgusting, immature manner and really stood up to this sexism and current smearing and demeaning of the female VP candidate, this Fowler would never dare make such a remark.

We’ve had it. We’re not STUPID. The men in the MSM DON’T GET IT!!!!! Obama and his wife are totally classless and I don’t care if they went to Ivy League schools. They will never get in the White House.

  • TKW

As a lifelong Republican I have never been a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. During the primaries I told my mother-in-law (a huge HRC fan) that since it seemed inevitable that the Democrats would win that I would much rather have Senator Clinton as the President, because while I might disagree with her on political issues, I do believe that she would protect our country and try to do the right thing (even though I may disagree about what that is). She told me that Senator Clinton would not win the primary because of the way the DNC had rigged the game. At the time I didn’t really know what she meant. Now I see and I think the best for our country would be Clinton versus Palin in 2012. The DNC would have done a lot better to let the voters decided and then if Senator Clinton picked Senator Obama as her VP he might have learned a thing or two. Oh well, too bad for the DNC. My mother-in-law is an uneducated working-class white woman and they don’t need her vote anyway.

  • Bob

Issues? The Obama camp has made this tripe the issue because they are trashing yet another woman instead of staying on message…

The problem is, Obama has no message. He ran to the left of Hillary to knock her out with liberal voters, then when he and the DNC thugs could declare ‘mission accomplished,’ he reneged on FISA, NAFTA, started touting faith based initiatives just like Bush, and has flp flopped on Iraq, Israel and plenty more.

    What message?? What issues?

All he can think to do because he is reeling from the wonderul Palin pick is to attack her the way he atacked Hillary — only it is even more vile this time because Palin is not a Democrat. Lucky her.

Let us know, please, when Senator Obama is ready to get back to the issues and bring home his 30-40 lawyers from Alaska who are busy digging up dirt on Palin.

Let us know when he is going to allow himself to be vetted and produce his authentic birth certificate, his college records, state senate records and medical records.

Let us know, please, when he is going to stop with crude remarks and cheap shots and prove that he is able to lead this country.

Answer: he cannot because he is not ready.

    Just as Hillary said.
Just as his VP candidate Joe Biden said.

Meltdown? We’re facing an all out nuclear attack against women. The fact that some women are OK with it, perpetrating it…Unbelievable! Female reporters talking about women neglecting their children if they work? Ummm excuse me what the hell do you think you’re doing? Who’s taking care of your children? Female reporters saying you’re only Pro-Choice if you believe in only one choice. Feminist coming out and saying that it’s ok if Biden believes the exact same thing as Palin and McCain. Including voting against public financing of abortions, and banning late term abortions. Oh, but it’s not OK that they did it. Which is something they stand up and admit to believing in. Fighting for, at least they’re standing up for their beliefs. Neither one have tried to write laws, pass bills that would force those/their beliefs on others. Amazing. No hypocrisy to see here people, move along. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

And excuse me, as a an American woman voter – I consider misogyny and sexism demonstrated by the Obama and his team a legitimate election issue.

So let’s discuss Madame Fowler’s latest misogynist slam on Governor Palin.

  • http://noratings.blogspot.com/ Bud White

I think the bots know that there’s been a shift in the zeitgeist with McCain’s selection of Palin. Now they’re freaking out. It’s a slo-mo train wreck.

  • Paul3triple

my mom and wife are dems voting MCCpalin.
They are in a state of denial and utter shock,ROFL

  • ssmith

I don’t even know what to say to this..

now that I am registered as a indy, I no longer feel I have to defend the filth that is now the undemocratic party..

I am as pro-choice as they come.. and that means.. I respect the CHOICE..

I don’t care if a woman has an abortion or keeps the baby..

are the dims asking to be beat to a bloody pulp by tht repubs?

I mean this is like a drunk (undimocratic party) picking a fight with the bouncer(the repubs)..

  • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

I am stunned. In fact, I am mortified. Why are Democrats so obsessed with Sarah Palin’s anatomy?

    Because they got nuthin?

  • VMorris

    Holy Crap!

  • Hope Floats

    Now go away asshole.

  • Kal

I am a lesbian feminist who has worked for the dems forever, had an abortion in my 20s, worked while raising my kids, and even supported -1% Kerry.

I supported Hillary, am too suspicious of BO (I am from Chicago) to ever vote for him, would have voted for McCain to see if housecleaning might do something to restore the dems to their base, and now, with the option of voting for McCain/Palin, will even more enthusiastically vote for McCain.

  • sjc-tx

    Shit they deserve eachother!!!

  • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

I’m not calling her. I’m calling the RNC and the McCain campaign to donate money.

I thought I was finished sending them money, but today has changed my mind.

    Country before party!

    McCain/Palin 08

  • Duras

With every passing day, the senior leadership of today’s Democratic Party offers up more evidence that they are temperamentally unsuited to assume control of the Executive Branch.

You learn the most about someone’s core character not when things are going great, but when they aren’t.

When the wheels came off John McCain’s campaign in the summer of 2007, did he start whining to the press? No. Did he start berating those around him? No. Did he start lashing about in every direction? No. Instead, he took a deep breath, went back to waging the kind of campaign that he best knows how to wage, and slowly but surely climbed back in the race. My guess is that if you’ve spent 5 1/2 years as a POW being tortured almost daily without having your spirit broken, it probably takes quite a bit more than just a faltering campaign to unhinge you.

Now, contrast this with the way that Obama and his people have been behaving over the past 10 days in response to a race that has now shifted against them.

Who do you want in the Oval Office making decisions that affect the security and welfare of you and your family?

Right. You’re going to vote for a woman who’s religious doctrine suggests that those who have undergone abortions will burn in the eternal fires of hell.

The Pentecostal doctrine on homosexuals is equally open-minded.

Forgive me, but I just don’t get it. I wouldn’t think the deliberate misrepresentation of a comment about lipstick would have that sort of effect.

After this November election, I’ll be voting for anyone but a Democrat: third party, Independent, maybe Republican. I will continue to vote as I’ve always done. But, I’ve had enough. My party has been destroyed and I’ve lost all respect for it.

Don Fowler is also the one who caved at the RBC meeting, and Ickes took him to task with his brilliant summation. The night before, Fowler was insisting on the bedrock principle of “fair reflection” in the Dem Party Charter. The next day, he sheepishly announced that he would foresake principle for the “sake of party unity.” That’s when Ickes suggesting that vote stealing was not a good way to start down the path to party unity. How prophetic he was.

  • WMCB

I was even willing to give Oboyzclub a pass on the lipstick comment earlier, but then I saw the clip, and I remembered it was similar to his subliminal attacks on Hillary. It wasn’t a one-off, it’s part of a pattern of slams on women.

David Gergen called me (a democrat in KY) a redneck, Team Obama called me a Racist, Andrea Mitchell said must be one of Hillary’s less educated voters, all the news stations assumed I must be old and poor (?), now I am white trash too. I wonder why Hillary’s old, poor, stupid, rasist, redneck white trash supports won’t support Obama? I wonder?

South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate ” whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”

Obviously, the primary qualification to be the South Carolina Democratic chairwoman is to be brain dead.

I agree. Decent men and women should unite to fight this horrible sexism problem apparent in national politics, the media etc. As you can see, women can be just as sexist/misogynistic as men. A shame they all seem to be “Democratic” women. What an eye-opening election this is.

What part of women’s rights is not considered a valid issue? Are you joking? This is the party that is supposed to be pro-choice–ALL choice, including keeping your children.

And respect for women: claiming that Palin’s only qualification is not having an abortion is a total lie. She has an 80+ approval rating for running a complex state. What has Obama done that even comes close to that?

Nice try to change the subject though.

To borrow from Michelle Obama: If Obama can’t control his own surrogates, how can he control the White House?!!

People aren’t dumb (at least those who aren’t buying Obama’s lies), and they understand the subtle (or not so) insult to Palin inherent in his Lipstick on a Pig statement. The guy is a sexist ‘pig’(apologies to pigs) who is incredibly disturbed and warped. He has hatreds in him that are of long standing and he needs therapy…long, intense therapy.I truly don’t think he is stable enough to be entrusted with the care of this nation.
He has not been tested, but has been coddled throughout his public life. This does no good service to the public.

Fox had a guy from Politico on when they broke it. There was a denial then Politico issued a statement that they absolutely stand behind the report of Fowler’s statements. I imagine others will have to report it after ‘researching’ to verify it’s accuracy.

CNN is apologizing for people taking offense at ‘lipstick’ and hurting Obama’s feelings.

MSNBC is reporting Palin will be AK away from McCain. yawn

  • amirosa

For the first time in my adult life I am truly shocked, disgusted and ashamed of calling myself a Democrat. Since becoming a Democrat almost 30 years ago, I have always supported Democrats because I thought they were the party of justice, fairness, respect and values, but this party of Obama, Dean, Pelosi and Brazile is unrecognizable. We definitely need a new party. Meanwhile comes November my vote will be for McCain/Palin. No way I can vote for sexist Obama.

  • Firefly

Count me among the longtime woman democrats – have been for 30 years – never voted for a republican in my life, in any election whether national, state or local – who will be voting for McCain/Palin this year – and whose DEMOCRAT-DISGUST-O METER goes up every single day.

The Fowler family is a very sad case – nasty, nasty couple. They need to be in McCain’s next ad.

I think one of the next steps for McCain is to put together a national ad with the outrageous and nasty comments of obama surrogates – which, of course, must include his surrogates who call themselves journalists – everyone from CNN and MSNBC.

BTW – CNN is the new MSNBO, doncha think? Only much, much worse – at least MSNBO was drawing fire every day for their unprofessional conduct – CNN is not getting nearly the criticism yet they’re the network that has taken censorship and propaganda to grave new lengths (lows?).

  • Hope Floats

You’re right. Obama is poison for the Dems.

Please grow up. It’s probably a good idea if we don’t choose our leaders based on physical appearance. We’ve already sunk to such lows as it is. Save those votes for American Idol, not Commander in Chief.

  • Cynical about Saint Sarah

I basically agree with your sentiment. But the deeply held beliefs of our elected leaders have a far more profound effect on everyone they lead than the beliefs of any average citizen. Were it not for that, I wouldn’t be the least bit concerned that Sarah Palin is a biblical literalist; it wouldn’t bother me that she doesn’t believe global warming has anything to do with human activity; it wouldn’t concern me that she believes defense policy considerations about the state of Israel should take into account the truth of biblical prophecy. When I think of her as president, those things suddenly thrust themselves into my analysis.

  • Felizarte

Team Obama has lost its perspective. They cannot admit when they have erred; can’t apologize; and they are just digging a deeper hole–Obama and his spokespeople.

What is it about criticisms coming from a woman that really gets under Obama’s skin? Is it because he was basically raised by a single mom; then later, by his grandmother, both who happen to be white? Is he specially sensitized to women whom he perceive to have more talent than he has? And when he gets a chance, can’t help but strike out at them or dominate them as when he “had to approve the job because he would let Michelle accept it?”

Why did he gravitate towards radicals like Ayers, Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, Fr. Phleger, Malcom X? Is it the absence of a strong male role model in his life?

This man has a lot of toys and stuff in his attic.

  • Keep It Up

Yeah I love how Fox is now calling out their competitor’s LIES. It’s pretty damn funny actually. Hahaha CNN!

  • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

Every session of Congress begins with a prayer. These prayers are delivered by interfaith ministers: sometimes a rabbi, a priest, protestant minister, maybe even a Unitarian has been in the mix.

My point is, 90% of Americans believe in some kind of Higher Power and 80% believe in demons and angels – according to a recent poll by Time or Newsweek, can’t recall which.

So this reference to Governor Palin’s faith is pretty much a dead end road.

  • JM08

I dont mean this to be compative or sarcastic, but I honestly would like to know the thinking behind a woman, or for that matter any man who has a daughter, that is supporting Obama. I am just really curious how you can ignore all the blatantly sexist behavior towards first Hillary Clinton and now to even a even more extreme Sarah Palin. If your a woman I would think you would be outraged, and if your a man with a daughter I would think you would be outraged.

How can women complain about not being treated as equals, and then turn around and support a candidate and a party that cleary does not consider women as equals ?

Biden, today in Nashua, NH, in response to an inaudible question from an audience member:

“Make no mistake about it Hillary Clinton is as qualified as or more qualified than I am” to be vice president, Biden said. “And quite frankly, she may have been a better pick than me.”

  • Urban Hillbilly

    Exactly.

  • Perry Logan

I could never support a party that practices such dirty politics.

But let’s remember, the Republicans virtually invented this kind of politics and practiced it successfully for many years. They were even praised as political geniuses for doing so.

It was the Right that gave us hate radio—where lies about Democrats flow endlessly, night and day. The Right gave us right-wing think tanks, where the figures are cooked to make the right look good. The Right gave us Fox News—until quite recently, a surefire way to get your head screwed up.

It’s no accident that the Right gave us the terms “Rovean” and “swiftboating”—both synonymous with the use of dirty politics.

It’s worth noting that the Democrats’ swing into nasty politics occurred within the context of the Republicans having invented, patended, and deployed it up the wazoo.

We PUMAs can and should decry the Democrats. But if you start telling me Republicans are righteous, your nose will grow.

Once upon a time, not too long ago, a great former President had this to say about the prospect of his wife running against Senator McCain for President:

And then he painted this scene: “She and John McCain are very close,” he said. “They always laugh that if they wound up being the nominees of their party, it would be the most civilized election in American history and they’re afraid they’d put the voters to sleep because they like and respect each other.”

She herself repeated that opinion on TV, can’t remember when or where, but I saw it.

What a contrast this Obama campaign shows. And they promised to run a positive campaign. But what can you expect from someone who feels that raising money is the same as public financing? From a guy who thinks that running a campaign is executive experience. Good thing that he is no constitutional lawyer… He is? Damn…

  • Peggy Sue

You’d be surprised, seasiren. A lot of women are sick and tired of these comments. They care. Men, too. Obamatrons and the Democratic leadership [who should know better] are committing suicide with each and every stupid, sexist remark.

Take a look at the polls. There’s a reason for the shift in numbers. But please, continue to believe none of this stuff matters as you watch the Obama campaign blow up.

This was an idiotic, disgraceful thing to say in public. Obama might stumble and fumble his way around the lipstick remark. This one cannot be excused so easily. Nor should it.

Thank you so much for your support. My best friend counsels LGBT youth, so I was surprised how violently she reacted to Sarah Palin as McCain’s VP. For every argument she gave me, there was an example of Obama doing worse and promising to do more of the same. I don’t understand how gays would think that Obama would stand p for their rights. They are entitled to support their candidate for whatever reason they like – for example, diversity and loyalty to the Democratic party are understandable but not obligatory reasons. I am disgusted by the Democratic party’s behavior this year, and I can’t excuse it or understand those who do – including my best friend!

    Thanks for the laugh beebop!

The idea in my head when I read her FOUL comment was “What’s next? Sending women mini coat hangers covered in red ink splattered on Palin’s face?”

I’d say they’ve gone too far, but they passed that point many, many months ago.

I also googled for Carol Fowler’s contact information. Here’s her e-mail: cfowler@scdp.org. Write her and let her know what you think.

Oh no Perry. They also have Robert Duvall, Sylvester Stallone, Chuch Norris, Kurt Russell, James Woods, James Reynolds, Bruce Willis, Bo Derek, Clint Eastwood, Ann-Margaret, Emma Caulfield, Lisa Kennedy, Tom Selleck, Shannon Doherty, James Earl Jones, Cherly Ladd, Heather Locklear, Drew Carey, Barret Swatek, Tracy Scoggins, Adam Sandler, Denzel Washington, as well as several others that are Republican. I did a look on this the other night because someone tried to tell me that Norris was a Democrat and was VERY surprised at how many were Republicans.

So, if my memory did serve me well this time, and Carol Fowler was the woman that I recall seeing on TV at the hearing, then that means that both Don Fowler and his wife were serving on that committee. I remember somehow feeling a bit sorry for Don, because he seemed to have been a Hillary supporter the day before the hearing, and I woondered what had happened overnight to weaken his resolve. Too much partying or what???

Well we now know that Carol Fowler takes no prisoners.

I dare say a couple of issues in this campaign are leadership and character.

Do any of us really want a leader who publically goes around making juvenile obscene gestures behind his opponents backs and calling them pigs behind their backs and rejoicing in his ill-gotten victories singing degrading songs?

    I don’t.

And also, why isn’t he directing his frustrations against MR John McCain rather MS Sarah Palin? Afterall, Mr McCain is his opponent.

Because I think. Because I have the right, I will never vote for a democrat again (except Hillary Clinton). After 41 years the party is dead to me. I don’t want any part and neither does my family, 243, want any part of them. They are the most vile and disgusting and perverted ignorant people in the USA. If wanting to get the first BLACK president is so important please move the democratic party to Kenya. Obama is not under any circumstances material to be our next POTUS. I would instead put him and his cohorts, most of the democratic party and the news media in jail for the rest of their lives. Subversion of government comes to mind for one offense. I will be happy to vote republican for the rest of my life. The only exception would be for Hillary Clinton. However, unless the democratic party is cleaned up and the corrupt individuals who now inhabit it are gone, I would have to reconsider that vote as well.

While the Fowlers, Obama, nutroots gangs, and their media apologists destroy the the Democratic Party, Biden seems lost in the news except for little bits like this.

Tennessee Rep. Compares Obama to Jesus, Suggests Palin is Pontius Pilate

    by FOXNews.com
    Wednesday, September 10, 2008

Tennessee Rep. Steve Cohen riled Republicans Wednesday after he compared Barack Obama to Jesus Christ and suggested Sarah Palin is akin to Pontius Pilate.

The Tennessee Democrat, who supports Obama, was on the House floor giving a one-minute speech when he offered the comparisons.

“If you want change, you want the Democratic Party,” Cohen said. “Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor.”

A similar statement has been circulating in e-mails and on blogs in recent days, before Cohen spoke Wednesday.

But Cohen was referencing shots Palin took at Obama during her address last week at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul. Palin, a former mayor, poked fun at Obama for crediting his work as a community organizer, saying, “I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a community organizer, except that you have actual responsibilities.”

The National Republican Congressional Committee objected to Cohen’s statements Wednesday in a press release, pointing out that Pilate sentenced Christ to death and asking, “What point was Cohen trying to make?”

Cohen’s remarks also play into Republican charges that Obama fancies himself a celebrity-like or messianic figure in the 2008 race. They also come on the heels of Obama’s comment Tuesday that “you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.”

Palin supporters allege the oft-used expression was directed at Palin, who joked in the same speech that the difference between hockey moms like her and pit bulls is lipstick.

  • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

I spent part of my lunch hour explaining to a guy how the DNC disenfranchised your votes and rigged the roll call at the Dem convention.

People out there do not realize the justifiable outrage of PUMA women at what was done to Senator Clinton, and now history is repeating itself with the other woman candidate.

Very instructive and enlighening, this election cycle.

  • Cynical about Saint Sarah

Right. No doubt Sarah is praying for the ruin of Barack Obama too. Literally.

  • iVet

Mrs. Fowler is clearly getting her cues from the party’s new leader. The new DNC did not need the Clintons or their supporters, just ask Donna Brazile, so this is what they get:

    From Jim Geraghty:

It’s just a really big coincidence that when he’s facing a woman opponent, the most eloquent and gifted orator in the Democratic Party in recent memory just happens to pick really awkward metaphors that have secondary meanings that many women would find demeaning.

For example, during the primary, he said, “You know, over the last several weeks since [Hillary] fell behind, she’s resorted to what’s called ‘kitchen sink’ strategies. . . . She’s got the kitchen sink flying, and the china flying, and the, you know, the buffet is coming at me.” It’s simply coincidental that he’s never accused a male opponent of throwing china at him.

When he said, after a particularly tough exchange with Hillary, told a crowd, “You challenge the status quo and suddenly the claws come out.” It’s an apt and completely non-sexist metaphor… if he had he been running against Wolverine from the X-Men.

When he said, “I understand that Senator Clinton, periodically when she’s feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal.” Sure, to the untrained ear, “periodically” and “feeling down” sure do sound like references to the menstrual cycle and PMS, and yes, he’s never used that line to describe a male opponent. But I’m sure “moodiness” is close enough the “temper” issue that Democrats have thrown at McCain.

As he assured us after the whole “sweetie” incident, calling women around him “sweetie” is a bad habit he’s trying to break. And as we all know, it’s quite common for Harvard-educated law school lecturers to call women they don’t know “sweetie.” It happens in big city law firms all across the country, and women generally appreciate that cute little nickname instead of being called by their names or “ma’am.”

Finally, it’s just unthinkable that a guy who punctuates his speeches with gestures from Jay-Z videos could ever exhibit a less than appropriate level of respect for women opponents.

  • You’re-kidding.

And James Dobson of focus on the Family was right for praying for rain on the night of Obama’s outdoor acceptance speech??? Republicans crack me up with all of their hypocrisy.

To rip on Obama for considering Gov. Kane of VA. (more experience than Palin), to ripping on the Spears family for being “pin heads” and leaving their “kids unsupervised” to get pregnant (was Palin there when her daughter got pregnant? NO – she left her – guess what? unsupervised.)

McCain’s entire campaign is run by lobbyists – his top 7 advisors are some of the largest lobbyists is Washington…. How is that change???

McCain has also been reprimanded by the Ethics Committee of Congress as having “poor judgement.”

Look these items up – they are not spin, they are not made-up… Please go to http://www.factcheck.com for actual answers to the real questions. To blindly follow what the ads and speeches say is ignorant. Fact check is an unbiased information service.

  • Duras

I vividly remember that all of the talking heads in the media were throwing dirt on the grave of McCain’s campaign a year ago at this time. One smug pundit (I think it may have been Laura Ingrahm, who I simply cannot stand) even went so far as to start a pool as to when he would formally end his candidacy. Practically the only one who believed that he still stood a chance was McCain himself. For several months right up to the Iowa caucuses, he was walking through airports carrying his own bags with hardly anyone recognizing him.

One of the qualities I most admire in a person is persistance and determination in the face of adversity. John McCain has it in spades. Barack Obama does not.

    Thanks Pan…

    Dear Carol,

Here is a dose of reality for you. I have been a life-long Democrat. I supported Hillary Clinton during our primaries. As such, I endured verbal abuse and some intimidation from Obama supporters.

I think you are out of touch with so many Democrats (and other Americans) that supported Hillary and are now refusing to vote for Obama. You have been quoted as saying that these women voting for McCain/Palin are Republicans.

We all were called Republicans when we supported Hillary over Obama at various blogs. My husband was accused of being a Republican at our caucus convention because he was voting for Hillary. Now that talking point has just transferred to the GE.

Hmmm, our party told us they did not need us, and now we find that we are considered Republican by good people like you.

Denial is powerful within our party… Well, I love my freedom and will be independent from here on out.

Thank you, Carol, for making my break from the anti-democratic Democratic Party that much easier.

  • Missbehavinmaven

Yet another woman here who first cast her vote in 1972 and has always voted for the Democratic candidate for POTUS though a life long Independent. I agree the Democratic Party has been hijacked by their worst element just as the Neocons hijacked the Republicans. This is the saddest political season ever imo. I was going to write in Hillary and still may, but every day brings me closer to voting for McCain & Palin. Of the choices the parties have offered me there is no comparison, McCain/Palin beat Obama/Biden in every way. It is the horrible things like this attack from Mrs. Fowler that move me closer to the Republican ticket…as so any of you have stated in far more eloquent posts than mine, the Democratic party I knew and respected has vanished.

Interesting list, I didn’t know so many celebs were Republican.
Chuck Norris endorsed Huckabee in the primaries. I just saw him on Fox, and he said that he used to be a Democrat. He said that he didn’t leave the party, the party left him.
    I know that feeling.
I think most people are truly moderates, either leaning left or right. Our government needs to get back to the middle of the road and accomplish things.

  • Ferd McBerfle

Your omniscience is a little off today, Karnak. For your information, the former Democratic Party left me no alternative. Oblahblah is uniquely unfit and unqualified to be POTUS. Third party candidates are a waste of my vote, so I’ll go with McCain.

You are a presumptuous twit, at best. At worst, you are an invincibly ignorant troll whose delusions rival those of your master.

  • Paul3triple

after all of this politics of personal destruction i think it is unwise for Hillary to campaign against Mac for obama.
She started the movement Palin is pushing on and if she is seen as trying to stop it it could do alot of damage to her.
I know alot of you disagree or will tell me i am a troll or something. Fact is, not everyon loves hillary like us. Not everyone who voted for her loves her like us. That is fact.
Alot of the poeple who voted for her and now like palin could see it as a very bad move and may lose respect for her.
Has Obama and his campaign apologised or condemned Fowler’s remark?
See it is comments like this that will destroy the dems and allow McCain to decry sexism EVEN if it may be exxagerated a bit, obviously in this case there is no exxageration.

  • Urban Hillbilly

Seriously, would we expect any differently from MSNBC?

  • Rev. Wright, can you fix my garlic nose?

The rap against John Fitzgerald Kennedy was that he was a Catholic and that if he won, the Vatican would be calling his shots. Voters who believed this tripe turned out in droves to vote against the Democrat candidate.

We all know how that worked out for them.

    Anti-Catholicism circa 1960

    Anti-Governor Palin’s faith circa 2008.

  • kavala007

Not even Hillary can save the Democrats. If Biden wants out, then Pelosi should step in as a substitute. She picked and loves the selected one and thinks he has been sent by GOD. Her 9% rating should help considerably.

  • Peggy Sue

I’m with you, Beverly. I also switched to Independent after a lifetime as a loyal Democrat. I will no longer blindly follow the party line. Earn my vote or lose it.

From now on, I vote for the best, most competent candidate.

This year, that candidate is John McCain. Obama and his cult-like follwers are a disaster in the making.

  • cdo

Fowler’s comment would not havve been possible without an entire campaign of unchecked sexism and misogyny behind it.

I hold the entire democratic party responsible for these remarks.

enough was enough along time ago…but because every single comment has been left unchecked and rebuked and unapologized for…this is finally what we get.

I am sick and tired of being called “shrill” and “harpy” and “periodically down” and every other bullshit slam at my gender.

    I am DONE democrats. DONE.

  • ohio

I thought that too, but I still won’t vote for Obama with Hillary as vp. He’s still not right for the job. I hope she stays away from him so she doesn’t go down with his ship.

  • StrawberrybitesBarky

Rev. Wright, Ayers, Rezco, Michelle and Barky himself. Not to mention he really annoys the hell out of me when he opens his gob. He ums and uhs worse than Bush. Not to mention what happened at my caucus. No Obama, no way, no how. Get over it.

  • csuzeq

The DNC and Ofraud’s biggest problem is that they continually fail to realize we are not voting for McCain. We are voting against Obama! Although I am really starting to like McCain! In my heart though if it was Hillary vs. McCain there’d be no question Hillary gets my vote, whether I like McCain or not.

I miss Hillary (sigh), but I am not as shell shocked as I was a while back! Damn this year has been a roller coaster ride!

  • ming the merciless

A moment at the polling place, followed by four years of steadily worsening news and the slowly dawning realization that you’ve been had by republican con artists again…

Maybe you’ll never get to that point. There are still some people out there who support George W. Bush.

What I find so sad is that Sarah Palin being on the ticket ‘as a woman’ is historic. An incredible moment in the history of Woman and Woman’s Sufferage, yet these braindead dems see it as OK to trash her!

That spells HYPOCRACY and NARROWMINDEDNESS. I expect it from MEN, but it STUNS me that any women of ANY party would be that IGNORANT. ….talk about ‘cutting off your nose to spite your face’!

  • Urban Hillbilly

Speaking of senior Democratic leadership, I hope all the disgruntled Democrats in Massachusetts, many of whom had sense to vote for Hillary in the presidential primary, get out on September 16th to vote for Ed O’Reilly as the Democratic Senate nominee.

If you think the Democrats are coming unglued now, they will detonate if Kerry loses the Senate primary.

I can think of few things that would give me more pleasure to witness than a stunning Kerry defeat.

Why would anyone ever think that this guy would be friendly to the gay community? Gay-ness is a stigma, a pox, to all Arab cultures, and its buried in Barky’s genes. It doesn’t matter whether Obama had sex with Ayers or Sinclair, he would never openly recognize any kind of sympathy for or association with gays, let alone sex. Its not uncommon for Arabs to cross over for a lark. Yet they can’t accept any public display of simple understanding and sympathy. Those Arabs just can’t take it. Macho does what Macho is and the Arabs are so fucked up about gay people. Its in their genes…and you have to wonder why the gentle, meek, loving Donald Young was murdered execution style.

  • Diana

Yes, I know who you are. It just never ceases to amaze me with what is going on within the Democrat Party. I wasn’t trying to take it out on you, just making a statement. I’ve even thought/tried to justify it in my own mind with maybe these people are saying stuff like this to purposely try to blow the election for Obama? They don’t want him in the White House either, but that would be wishful thinking on my part. Trying to reason with all the madness that makes no sense.

  • sjc-tx

Thats CENSORSHIP! FUCK them! This is NO DEMOCRACY anymore!!! Freakin Nazis!

  • suskin

I can’t understand why the Dems think it helps them to point out Palin’s lack of experience when she has at least as much applicable experience as Obama has. Let’s compare:

Palin – 1 ½ years as governor of Alaska
Obama – approximately 1 ½ years US Senator (before he began running for president and basically dropped all his senate responsibilities)

I’d say that’s a wash – Palin’s executive experience as Governor is at least comparable to Obama’s experience as US Senator, if not superior.

    Palin – Wasilla Mayor – 6 years/2 term city councilwoman – 4 years
Obama – IL State Senator – 8 years

Again, I think it is fair to say that serving as Mayor (full-time) for 6 years is at least comparable to Obama’s 8 years (part-time) experience in the Illinois Senate, if not superior.

    Still a wash.

Community organizer = PTA member? I’d say so.

What about the unknown factor? Obama supporters criticize Palin because she is unknown; but c’mon, who’d ever heard of Obama before he ran for president? I lived in Illinois during Obama’s entire stint as State Senator and I never heard of him before he ran for the US Senate.

    Again, a wash.

Foreign Policy experience? What foreign policy experience does Obama have? The fact that he lived in Indonesia as a child and has traveled to Pakistan several times? Nope. Obama had no foreign policy experience when he initiated his run for the Presidency and the fact that he has picked up a few things from Hillary and McCain along the election way doesn’t count.

Plus, wasn’t it Obama who said that experience doesn’t matter, it’s judgment that counts?

If Palin’s not experienced enough or qualified enough to be president, nor is Obama.

  • LandOLincoln

The right most definitely does NOT have Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie–therefore neither, apparently, does Barack Obama, who as a Trojan horse candidate made a sharp right turn once Hillary was out of the race.

  • Urban Hillbilly

    LMAO!!

  • EightBelles

Barack Obama set the tone for his campaign with his “100 Problems and a Bitch Ain’t One of Them” plus that juvenile flicking off those scrawny shoulders all his Hillary Clinton worries. Carol and Don Fowler should change the spelling of their surname to Fouler because those two people are Foul. As for the new Erica Jong brand of sexism, maybe Erica is worried about the health of her significant other, Kim Jong. Oops! It slipped my mind. She isn’t married to Kim despite the fact the two of them seem to have something in common: oppression of those they deem to be their inferiors.

No one could have been a more passionate Democrat or Clinton supporter than I. The Big Tent Party is now the Circus Tent Party with a ringleader by the name of Barack Obama who is creating such a sleazy sideshow that there may no longer be a party left by the time he, Dean, Pelosi, Brazile, Reid, Axelrod & now the Fowlers have exited the stage.

Sen Hillary Clinton must be thanking her lucky stars she isn’t the running mate of the nominee who both represents & exemplifies such a dumb ass group of buffoons.

Ms. Fowler was also the rules committee member who proposed adding South Carolina and Nevada to the earlybird primary schedule back in August of 1996. This is from the an L.A. Times article:

“If you campaign in a state that is outside the rules, then you’re not entitled to delegates from that state,” said Carol Khare Fowler, a rules committee member from South Carolina who offered the change.”

Since she carried water for Donna Brazile on the Dem. primaries coup d’etat, it’s not a stretch to suggest this abortion remark may have been a plant by the Obama campaign. It turned out to be bad timing for him.

BO’s'pig’ and ‘fish’ remark were intended and directed toward Palin–no doubt about it. These two cliches have been used by others in various campaigns, HOWEVER, BO has never used them while campaigning and with his narcissistic ego-centered elitism would have thought it beneath his Harvard education to ever utter these common sayings. He planned those comments, Axelrod and his people planned those comments and if anyone saw that speech and witnessed those people laughing before it was even out of his mouth and then said that it was just a regular innocent comment they are being totally disingenuous. With his defiant blame of the media and the McCain campaign today in Virginia for what HE said he is IMPLODING. His own ego, his own narcissism, his own deep, deep, Freudian hatred of women caused by his abandoning mother will destroy him. And we are a family of 5, lifelong Democrats who will vote McCain/Palin and they just don’t get it–all the bots that come here and keep saying we are Repubs are in massive denial–they will not win the votes they need because they will have alienated everyone but the AA community, and snob intellectual elites and college students running around at 8.00 hr.

I know your anti-Obama mantra, and all it’s variations.

Its endless repetition is what takes the place of any intelligent thought and discussion about policy and issues.

What are McCain and Palin actually going to do? What will the likely results be?

Get ‘em elected and you’ll find out. You won’t even have to ask the questions. You’ll get a demonstration. It will have a little something to do with the results 8 years of the same polices under George W. Bush have produced.

The same policies produce more of the same results, only worse. A very simple, logical, straightforward proposition. Something most intelligent children would consider self-evident–but one that you apparently need to test before being convinced.

Lovely couple. Mr and Mrs Foul-er.

“Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway.”

Well gee, Carol, I guess you’ve forgotten that both Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton campaigned for and supported Republicans. Jeannette Rankin, first woman elected to Congress in 1916, was a Republican. Alice Paul led the campaign to throw President Wilson, a Democrat, out of office. In fact, she was so fed up with Democrats, she went and formed the National Women’s Party.

Why in the world Alice Paul would get the crazy idea that Democrats sometimes have issues with misogyny is beyond me. Go figure.

If I have now been dismissed as “just a Republican woman”, at least I’m in some good company.

Palin’s current minister gave an interview to Greta last night and he was very clear that he was very sympathetic to gays. Perhaps that’s why Palin did not veto a bill for gay rights in Alaska. BTD sure did speak up for women. He must be biting his tongue in two over this one if he isn’t commenting on it. How liberating it is to be an Independent since May 31st. I don’t have to form opinions based on what is good for the party. Those Dems owned me long enough.

    Free at last.

BTW, that comment by Fowler was their plan. They said they were going to have women go out an attack Sarah.

They announced it the other day and wanted Hillary to be part of their smear team. I guess those obots really don’t know Hillary at all yet, it sure is not her style and she wouldn’t sink to that level for ob.

Someone send this little list to Cavuto at Fox. These men just don’t get it! Willfull ignorance about Obama’s repeated thinly-disguised sexist remarks. So unprofessional, unpresidential. I understand that, as a lawyer, Obama rarely if ever argued a case in front of a Judge. He would not have got away with his cute remarks in a courtroom. He hates and fears women, IMO.

  • WMCB

I already have demonstrations. McCain stood up and at least made an effort on torture, on campaign finance, on ethics, on Cheney’s energy bill. Palin has done a damn fine job in Alaska, and there is ZERO evidence she has in any way tried to turn it into some theocracy.

    Obama has done……nothing. But talk.

I think the Catholic church said the same thing but so far no video of Sarah saying the same.

See what Canadian Heather Mallick has to say:

“I assume John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his vice-presidential partner in a fit of pique because the Republican money men refused to let him have the stuffed male shirt he really wanted. She added nothing to the ticket that the Republicans didn’t already have sewn up, the white trash vote, the demographic that sullies America’s name inside and outside its borders yet has such a curious appeal for the right”

“It’s possible that Republican men, sexual inadequates that they are, really believe that women will vote for a woman just because she’s a woman. They’re unfamiliar with our true natures. Do they think vaginas call out to each other in the jungle night? But do they not know that women have been trained to resent other women and that they only learn to suppress this by constantly berating themselves and reading columns like this one?”

“I’m a feminist who understands that women can nurse terrible and delicate woman hatred. Palin was not a sure choice, not even for the stolidly Republican ladies branch of Citizens for a Tackier America. No, she isn’t even female really. She’s a type, and she comes in male form too. John Doyle, the cleverest critic in Canada, comes right out and calls Palin an Alaska hillbilly. Damn his eyes, I wish I’d had the wit to come up with it first. It’s safer than “white trash” but I’ll pluck safety out of the nettle danger. Or something.”

“Doyle’s job includes watching a lot of reality television and he’s well-versed in the backstory. White trash — not trailer trash, that’s something different — is rural, loud, proudly unlettered (like Bush himself), suspicious of the urban, frankly disbelieving of the foreign, and a fan of the American cliché of authenticity.

The semiotics are pure Palin: a sturdy body, clothes that are clinging yet boxy and a voice that could peel the plastic seal off your new microwave.” Finally, not that to any objective mind it is Hillary’s voice that is condescending, and that could, “peel the plastic seal off your new microwave.” They don’t call her “Shrillery” for nothing.

Palin has a toned-down version of the porn actress look favoured by this decade’s woman, the overtreated hair, puffy lips and permanently alarmed expression.”

This is not my party either. The DNC is despicable, liars, changing rules to suit their purposes, headed by Howard Dean. I once supported him, even sent money to him. Never again! Obama went on Anderson Cooper and said he had more executive experience than Sarah Palin! He then compared his campaign budget to Palin’s budget as Mayor of Wasilla! Are you kidding me? Who would vote for a man who thinks these two things can be compared? hahahaha! FACT: Obama completely left out that she is a Governor with a multi-billion dollar budget-something he’s never been in charge of! Also, he has a gigantic staff of people that do all of those things for him! He doesn’t decide the budget! FACT: She has executive experience, Obama has ZERO. They both have ZERO foreign policy experience! That was one of Hillary’s claims against him in the primary! I know everyone remembers the famous 3:00 A.M. ad! Everyone seemed fine with the thought of foreign policy advisers to aid Obama in these decisions! Does everyone think Palin won’t have a team of advisers? This is ridiculous! How does a man with no experience on either front challenge someone else’s resume? As I recall many Governors with no foreign policy experience have made great Presidents, Bill Clinton for one! Palin has the experience Bill Clinton had, Obama does not and she’s #2 on the ticket, not #1!

I had to park about 3/4 of a mile away and the line to get in (republicans queue up politely) was probably about the same length in the other direction.

After the last 8 years, people must be taking some pretty serious drugs to think McCain is going to “change” Washington”. What you will get is more of the same. Fowler apologizes for abortion remark

South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Carol Fowler, facing criticism for her remark to Politico’s Alex Burns about Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, issues an apology:

“I personally admire and respect the difficult choices that women make everyday, and I apologize to anyone who finds my comment offensive. I clumsily was making a point about people in South Carolina who may vote based on a single issue. Whether it’s the environment, the economy, the war or a woman’s right to choose, there are people who will cast their vote based on a single issue. That was the only point I was attempting to make.”

This is outrageous…so outrageous in fact that we need to refute it quickly and decisively and…move on.

    Something feels wrong here.

I get the sense that we are being distracted from the really important issues regarding improper vetting of Sen Obama.

These gaffes by top democrats these past few days are SO SO unbelievable…

Any updates on the Berg lawsuit?

    What about Sinclair investigation/lawsuit?

Annenburg review of documents has led to some interesting discoveries (THANK YOU MR WEAVER FOR YOUR EXCELLENT POST TODAY ).

    REZKO trial…how is it going?

ANy lawsuits against DNC about the election process?

ANy updates on the FOREIGN contributions to Sen Obama’s campaign?

ANy updates on Michelle Obama’s relationship to Ayers and others?

ANy updates on how the Democratic party recruitment of new voters is going?

Why is Z. Brezezinski so quiet lately?

Any improprieties discovered with Axelrod’s companies back in Chicago?

I realize that this list is overly simplified and definetely incomplete…

    Many questions…

    Just wondering…

Like I said, these gaffes by Obama and others these past two days are so unbelievable that I smell a ‘distraction’. However we must respond to these distractions and keep on investigating. DOnt get diverted…

We need to Keep the public discourse focused on the genuine areas of concern-not JUST emotional gibberish that will appeal to those who are supporting Sen Obama based upon ‘rock star appeal’…versus issues, record, and character.

Obama’s mentor Howard Dean carries his Lakoff garbage around. Lakoff’s theory says we “uneducated” people don’t like reason and facts. We just need to have the whole thing “framed” in some Orwellian way. So why should we stick to the facts?

The point I’m making is that the Obamabots are really “framing” the country by “framing” this election as their “superior” selves against us “trashy” people.

That kind of “framing” will not work. Try getting out to meet real people who make up the working class of America. Your “issues” arguments are made from having no real life experience to back them up. It’s insincerity and total lack of “empathy” (another one of Lakoff’s favorite words that he knows little about from experience.

What message? You are as dumb as a coal bucket. Change and hope are nouns or verbs, depending on usage. Aside from that, they mean nothing without details, of which there are none. Maybe you should ask your candidate to expand upon them by at least adding a few adjectives and adverbs. Here are some of my recommendations for you to ponder: false, trite, moronic, hackneyed, irrelevant, impossible, undeliverable, hypocritical, nonsensical, sexist, racist, far-fetched, vapid, ignorant, arrogant, self-serving, and anti-American. And I’m just getting started, bot. Don’t press your luck.

My sister in law is a teacher who blames Bush for no child left behind. I became very suspicious during the primary when political couples supported BOTH candidates. Especially that was true when the wife supported Obama as in the Fowlers case. Hillary’s great friend, Senator Charlie Rangal (NY) and wife were a couple like that as well. So were Jesse Jackson and his wife. However, Jesse’s wife was the Hillary supporter according to Stephenie Tubbs Jones and President Clinton.

At the Rules Committee meeting that Saturday, I noticed that the committee was made up mostly of white men and A-A women, NEITHER of whom I trusted to stick with Hillary. Sadly, that was a correct analysis.

Interesting that Mrs. Fowler suggested way back in 1996 to add SC to the early primaries. Then before the 2008 primary, SC Rep. James Clyburn, understanding the boost this could give BO, was the one who was successful in getting the DNC to actually frontload SC into the 2008 primary so that the 60% A-A voter registry could have a *bigger* voice in choosing the nominee. THAT is a major reason why BO is where he is.

Gee, a bow-wow biyotch who calls white women who admire Palin “white trash.” Methinks this specimen of human fecal material must be projecting herself onto these women.

Hillary is remaining silent for a reason—-she is much smarter than Obama & she is going to be the Dem nominee in 2012.

Well, Seasiren, it is important because the Fowlers are BOTH officials in the corrupt DNC which this site has daily discussed and how they decided who the nominee of the party would be and set out to make it happen. Forget issues when our very democracy is being threatened and the bedrock principle of one person, one vote.

That is a phase used by Republicans not Democrats. A Democrat would say “A Democratic Leader.”

Come out Repubs where ever you are!

Harold Ickes ROCKED the Democratic Party on May 31, 2008. I wish Hillary would have listened to him. I don’t know where he is today but he and the woman that sat next to him at the rbc meeting were awesome. I loved her energy and strength.

BUT – They couldn’t get me to vote for Obama if Hillary and Bill couldn’t.

the fowlers stink to high heaven. Like a skunk freshly run over, laying in the middle of the road. LOL

    In drag no less.

Obambi and the DNC are going overboard with the Roe v Wade issue. If, and it’s a giant if, Roe v Wade is ever overturned the issue of abortion and a woman’s right to chose goes to each state. It would not invalidate abortions only put the decision in the hands of each individual state. So if Roe v Wade is all Obambi has, then he is in grave danger of losing in November as most realize there is much more to this election than this one issue and Obambi’s and the DNC’s lack of respect for women is a REALLY BIG issue.

Really? I am going to give you a clue. I have been reading and enjoying No Quarter since March and I am a Republican. Once I found out about Rev. Wright, I wanted to know more about what Democrats were saying.

I can assure you that many of the same people who are posting here now were posting here in March. I have watched as the Obama campaign (the candidate, his staff, his surrogates, and his trolls) have driven many of these posters out of the Democratic Party and driven others to grieve for their party that was, is no more, and which they hope to revive by blocking Barky from getting anywhere near the Oval Office and by ridding it of such disgraces as Pelosi, Reid, Dean, Brazile, and the Fowlers.

The smearing of Sarah Palin is just another proof to them and to me of how Obama has turned the Democratic Party upside down with his apparent disrespect toward, contempt for, and fear of women.

Add to that: Both Geraldine Ferraro and Ed Koch in their statements of why they are now endorsing Obama pointedly say that Biden has made all the difference.

Koch made a point to write in his endorsement column that he did not know Obama and had only talked to him once, briefly, on the phone.

Few of the newly changed to Obama ever say anything about how he will make a good President.

Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmm. . .
