The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.

Regardless of whether or not they knew that McCain’s war injuries make it tough for him to use a keyboard, it was a stupid ad anyway. The assertion that someone who doesn’t use e-mail doesn’t understand the internet or its importance to the economy is just absurd. Not to mention the fact that he’s probably alientated quite a few older voters out there by implying that if you don’t use the internet you’re a troglodyte, it has to be one of the worst political ads I’ve seen in a long time.
