Thanks

A note to all readers, old and new. Thanks for being a part of No Quarter. I don’t have a vision or agenda for this site. It’s a community of sorts. I get to vent my spleen when I want about things that interest me. Hopefully some of it resonates with you. And, if it happens to piss you off, you are always welcome to register your disdain or disagreement. I only ask that you not make threats or use racist/sexist language.

I am fortunate to be surrounded by an array of talented volunteers. This place would fall apart without Susan UnPC. She is a special, wonderful person. Her only shortcoming is that she likes cats. Actually, she loves all animals (which probably accounts for her ability to tolerate me). I think there is a special place in hell for those who have verbally attacked and smeared this great lady. I am proud to have her as a friend.

We did some checking and discovered that we are doing a larger volume of traffic than FireDogLake, TalkLeft, Taylor Marsh, and BoomanTribune on the left. And we are bigger than Flopping Aces and JustOneMinute on the right, to name a few. Stunning. One more thing, we’re almost up to MYDD numbers. So, for whatever reason, we have a size-able, opinionated group. We thank you for taking time to share or lurk.

Those of you who have contributed to help support this site are special friends and we thank you. Now, back to our regular programming.

  • James

This is my favorite blog. I came across it during the primaries since December and have been reading it ever since. I wish I found it sooner.

    Keep up the good work!

    • athena

same here. I am addicted. I mostly just read and post atta-boys! or shall I say atta-girls!

      • Dr. Kate

Very cool, Larry, thank YOU very much. And I agree SusanunPC is terrific!

NoQuarter is a great place, dialogue, humor, great posts and analyses, diverse. It reflects well on your effort.

        :-)

        • red_sleeves

SusanunPC is cool. But I don’t know about her cats…

(Not that I hate cats, it’s just the havoc they wreak upon the environment. Toxoplasma, bird killers and all of that… Still I could tolerate her cats because she is smart.)

          • hank48188

I have 2 cats and they are pretty cool and well behaved. It is too bad that SOME PEOPLE are NOT RESPONSIBLE when it comes to pets running loose and causing problems. I’ve also never heard of a pack of cats killing or maiming people or trying to bite their face off.

            • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

I have 2 cats now (have had many more)

and doggy sit my daughters pup (half the week)

              used to have a horse

used to have mice & gerbals

Unless you have a really really crazy mega hour job I get suspicious of anyone that DOESN’T have a pet!

that’s just too weird especially if you have kids

              jmo

and yes they are LOTS of damn trouble most of the time but w/me the love is stronger

        • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

          Hey Doc!

And Thanks Larry! I haven’t had a lot of computer time lately (to much LIFE INTERRUPTUS)

but this is one of the first places I go and am glad to have found ya’ll as well!! W00T!!

          and

          PUMA W00T!

I can’t WAIT to watch my dumb butt X PARTY spontaneously combust (is that even a word?)

IMPLODE w/SPARKS when McCAIN/PALIN win in a 60/40 landslide in NOV.

Thanks again to you and Susan and all of the other fine posters here! :-)

    • mkm125

I couldn’t agree more–I check this site more than I check my own email (and that’s saying something!). I hope you keep it up after the election too!

      • elsie

This is also the first site I check before my emails during the last days of the primaries when HRClinton was under attack by the Democratic Party and by Obama and his admirers. You are the first to break news about many things and I am usually proud to tell my family I learned from this site like the Edwards affair story and we happen to be in Beverly Hills at the time Edwards had a rendevouz with the woman.. I am grateful for this site that just like you I have a place to go and talk about my views. Can you imagine if we had these during the Reagan years? We could have debunked most of his flawed foreign policies that the Republicans are so proud talking about it today….I am also glad that there are other sites you have showing how to question the facts about the Georgian invasion of Ossetia.. in other words, there is always two sides to a story.

Today I just learned about a site called Politifact which NPR goes to for comments on the veracity of the attack ads on both sides.. I believe they did not check their facts that as you demonstrated, Obama was using hand gestures to belittle Hillary. So when Obama lipstick on a pig commentary as referring to Palin became part of the political discussion, it has credibility that Obama is sexist because of what we learned in your site…. Politifact does not know this or perhaps just want to ignore this.

        • http://MaqisBHOTroll mary

          Elsie

I feel strongly about your comment regarding Obama’s “use of his hands to belittle Hillary”. Yes, he is a sexist and No Quarter was pioneering this information when the mainstream misogynist fratboys were too busy Hillary-bashing!

Obama appeared on the N.C. stage the day after his pathetically inept Pa. ABC Debate and performed a rapper-wannabe (JayZ) routine that was clearly well-rehearsed to demean and diminish his fellow female Senator (HRC).

“Obama Gives HIllary the Finger” – incredible show of arrogance and disrespect to Hillary!

Barack was using his midfinger, pausing for effect to let his fanatic followers “clue in” while smirking and whining about Hillary being the stronger of the two. He “flip-offed” Hillary with his camouflaged misogynistic gesture captured on video (youtube’s mega-hit!)

Remember BHO’s “Periodically, Hillary feels down and starts launching attacks against me to boost her appeal!”….

Why doesn’t someone launch a lawsuit against this Misogynist? Why does Imus (justly) gets fired for racist comments but misogynists with their Woman-hatred thrive in the MSM?

We must advocate for anti-Hatred legislation to combat rampant misogyny as shown in this ignominious race. Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton should advocate this. Olbermann and Matthews should be deemed “neanderthals” and ignored by their diminishing ratings!

          Enough!

        • http://MaqisBHOTroll mary

Jack McCafferty the most vitriolic misogynist on CNN once “insulted” HIllary calling her….

“SCOLDING MOTHER” — when HRC said “Shame on you Barack” for misrepresenting and distributing pamphlets on her position on Universal Health care that were clearly fraudulent!

With Sarah Palin as V-P would McCafferty dare call Sara a Scolding Mother?! I wonder….Where the hell would this hill of beans we live in be, if it weren’t for our “scolding mothers”!?

    • workingclass artist

Agree…NQ ROCKS!….Aaaand yu guys have saved my sanity and my sense of HUMOR…thanks

    • snosandy

Thank you, too, Larry for staying pro-Hillary. I found this blog when I left Taylor Marsh after she drank the kool-aid. I visit daily and I told my Mom about it a few days ago, so she’ll be reading regularly now and telling her friends that say no to Obama, too.

      • snosandy

BTW, my Mom used to be a koolaid drinker, but I talked some sense into her.

        • Zelda Crunch

Cool! Say hello to her from us!

      • tskTsk

I came via TM also, when we saw her getting ready to drink the kool-aid and we bagan to brainstorm where we will go. Most went to bitterpoliticz since it was formed to fill the need of dissafected TM bloggers.
Thanks for being a harbor in the storm and a place to share and vent.

      • Kal

I came here after TM went for BO, and I have found that this is the best place to get the full range of issues pertaining to my passion — electing Hillary, whether now or later, just electing Hillary. And, if we must wait to elect Hillary, electing Palin.

you sustain my inner political junkie. each night before i lay me down to sleep i come on here to find the latest and most delicious info. you never disappoint — like tonight with the piece about mccain’s inability to use the keyboard. priceless.

    • http://MaqisBHOTroll mary

      Yes!

Larry, No Quarter is the Best site and I am addicted to it. How refreshing to communicate and exchange views and be informed by those magnificent commenters here from whom I can learn — with humor, insights and knowledge that comes from hearts that truly care.

And the bonus is that there’s such a diversity of views here at No Quarter that I can almost ‘smell’ the next day’s headlines simply by reading today’s views. Opinionated? Some here are. Prejudiced within a narrow weltanschaung? No way. This is a fluid communion….Thanks and may the Pumas, that animal that came out of the Jungle to feed the hunger of the masses for those oh-so-inconvenient Truths, always roar! Thanks Larry!

  • Truthteller

We also have the best Radio Shows.

  • Susan

Thanks, Larry and all NQ contributors. This site has been a haven in a season of mangled opinion and news. Bless you!

  • JS Ruby

I agree with the writer above, this is my favorite blog also. Keep up the good work.

  • Brian Fellows

    I LOVE YOUR BLOG!

I guess that Crooks and Liars and America Blog don’t even register anymore. They suck Obamas TOES over there! They also HATE HILLARY! I boycott those sites.

    • StrawberrybitesBarky

Those were my old haunts. Breaks my heart. Thank God for Larry. I found him during the Plame Outing. He will always be one of my heros. Big hugs and smooches, Larry.

    • tzada

Boycott also the Political Machine at AOL. I left when one of the hacks “writers” said he would like to smack McCain in his effin mouth. He scrubbed it, but it remains embedded in my mind.

95% of their OP Eds are anti anyone except Obama and sometimes Ron Paul. They are just using him, with no serious intent of supporting other than the ONE.
Ironically it was from a poster at that forum I found out about No Quarter.

      Agreed, Truthteller, and YOU, too!

Susan and Larry are the best, and the other writers just humble me with their talent.

The readers, all of the cool regulars (like the ones above) who are funny, knowledgeable, and true to their beliefs, are just amazing. I love reading the comments here, and seeing how y’all take care of the Trolls is a joy to behold!

Larry, thank you, and Susan, for your graciousness and support. This is THE best site, and I am thankful to have found it!

  • roseeriter

Thanks for our safe Hillary Harbor in the hurricane season of obamanination.

  • barbh

The thanks go to you and Susan and everyone else that keeps you running! One of the only places I can go to every day.

  • AnnieO

Thank you, Larry, for a great blog site and great articles!

Besides this being a great blog site, I have to add that this is also the most welcoming blog community.

  • Max

    Wow!!! 20/20 intro about Gov Palin….Major Smear!!!!Lots of edits, lies…IMHO will backfire…

  • pal3

    Hillary will be President ’08.

    • Zelda Crunch

I can believe it but show us how.

  • catherine

Excellent job guys! No Quarter has been for Hillary supporters our hate-free refuge for months. You are still my favorite blog!

  • JP

Thank you Larry and the team!

  • http://home.comcast.net/~vincep312 Vince P

As a conservative i want to say thanks for offering me some evidence that not everyone on the other side is a raving maniac…. and that there is hope that we can unite in our common interest while respecting that which divides us.

Our biggest threat is our own govt in the clutches of two parties that are controlled by forces not interested in the welfare of our poeple or culutre

There are more lies being told then ever before… Truth should be our cause.

Thanks Larry for keeping this blog going.

It was at this blog that i stumbled on the Evelyn Pringle pieces and information about Obama back in the primaries and got fired up about what was going on.

If i hadn’t who knows what might have happened.

I might have drunk the koolaid and instead of being here i might very well be out at a cemetery right now registering dead people to vote.

    • fluffy bunny

LOL hey, dead folks need friends too!

      • tskTsk

Even the dead soldiers in the audience of a campaign rally are fair game to register! I could be signing them up if it weren’t for this blog. LOL

  • fluffy bunny

    Thank YOU.

Question for all here–did that Obama ad making fun of McCain for not sending emails (the ad was released by the Obama campaign, not a 527) show on TV, or only on YouTube?

Because here’s why McCain can’t send his own email:

Forbes Magazine noted McCain’s disability in 2000,

In certain ways, McCain was a natural Web candidate. Chairman of the Senate Telecommunications Subcommittee and regarded as the U.S. Senate’s savviest technologist, McCain is an inveterate devotee of email. His nightly ritual is to read his email together with his wife, Cindy. The injuries he incurred as a Vietnam POW make it painful for McCain to type. Instead, he dictates responses that his wife types on a laptop. “She’s a whiz on the keyboard, and I’m so laborious,” McCain admits.

cut and paste from hotair.com, tipped by somebody in the thread just underneath this one.

    • Heather

Oh man, if that’s true then Obama’s campaign is truly evil. Making fun of McCain because he can’t type due to war injury?

      • http://www.JohnMcCain.com Berserk Ohitler is the embodiment of pure evil

Making fun of McCain because he can’t type due to war injury?

I changed my name to reflect the despicable behavior of Ohitler and his goon squad. I’m not surprised that he would do that. Any man who would brand the Clinton’s as racists and threaten a race war to get elected is capable of the most despicable of acts.

        • fluffy bunny

          LOL nice embedded link.

          • http://www.JohnMcCain.com Berserk Ohitler is the embodiment of pure evil

The only way legally to stop Ohitler (other than Berg’s lawsuit) is to support and vote for McCain. So I am plugging McCains site. Republican for a day here. :)

    • workingclass artist

      Xcellent fluffy….good catch

    • tzada

It is on the Drudge Report too. right below Obama’s hateful ad article.

  • http://www.rightcommentary.cm Bryan

    Larry:

It’s a good blog. Came to your site because of “fightthesmears.com” oddly enough… and I read it regularly… if for no other reason… to find out what the “left” is saying… :)

    LOL!

    Bryan
    http://www.rightcommentary.com

    • http://www.JohnMcCain.com Berserk Ohitler is the embodiment of pure evil

Bryan this blog has what I would call many rational center leaning leftists (Hillary supporters) as opposed to loony tunes pro-Ohitler leftists. The right has a similar dynamic to me. The loony tunes extreme righties versus the center leaners. I hope some day the center leaners right and left band together and elect a sensible government based on commonalities for the public good.

      • workingclass artist

Truth is Clinton truly united all kinds of folks…Aaaand it looks as if Mac has the same gift…chuckle…with a little help from the Democratic Leadership of course…and Barky

  • hedy

I want to thank you Larry for the best blog going.I found you through the Taylor Marsh blog and I have been coming here ever since. Your the first one I come to in the morning and the last one at night.I love the fact that when Hillary did not make the nomination that you did not turn over for Obama like Taylor did. I applaud you for the work that you do and the facts about Obama that tell us what kind of person he is.Keep up the good work.

  • fluffy bunny

Oh, and the guys at hotair found that apparently Bill Clinton doesn’t use the internet or send emails either.

And everybody knows what a dummy and craptacular politician Bill Clinton is.

    • snosandy

Honestly, I don’t want my President to be spending their time on the internet. It’s an addicting habit and the President shouldn’t have time to get online.

  • james andrews

You have done us and the country a great service with this site. It has kept us engage and knowledgable voters are always a good thing. I would like to give you this article about McCain’s lack of use of the internet. Like Biden telling the official to stand up and then realize he was in a wheelchair, Obama launches an ad against McCain not using a keyboard to find out, he can’t, his beatings in prison prevent it.

    thank you Larry and Susan.
So glad I found your sight in the waning days of Taylor Marsh. It has never been easy to be a democrat. And it is so much harder now that my party has taken leave of its senses. Your site is really a lifeline!

  • Karen

This is the first place I go to in the morning and the last place at night! Oh yeah, spend way too much time here in between also.

Can’t imagine how I would have gotten through these last few months without coming here. I have voted a straight Democratic ticket since 1972 and would never have believed all that has happened this year. I made phone calls for Hillary, drove to a neighboring state to canvass, donated far more than I could afford, and when it was all done, was able to come here to commiserate with all my fellow Hillary supporters.

There is no doubt that Obama is the most divisive candidate in my lifetime. I have said for months that he would implode (or be indicted) before the election. I think we’re witnessing the implosion right now.

Thanks and know how grateful we are for all of your hard work.

    • athena

Me tooo!!!!!!!! On all accounts. I know I sound like Obama but No Quarter is my am and pm ritual and I was a very active campaigner, precinct captain, volunteer and delegate (local level) for Hillary!

Larry, Thank you! The other sites that were centrist drank the kool aid after the primary, you did not. It should also be noted that you have not endorsed!
I still wish you and Susan would look into Valerie Jarrett and Allison Davis and their connection to dirty Tony R. It’s out there and you guys could find it.

    • tzada

We all could find the information and send it to the writers here. Maybe No Quarter can make a send information link here, similar to the Drudge Reports?
Maybe there already is one and I am so ready to read the articles, I rush right past it?

As a former investigative reporter, I know it is hard to find investigate information and then write the articles and keep up family life. The pace of events happening here and now is insane, much more intense than when I wrote.

  • rw

During the primaries I felt odd, the daily MSM political snippets were telling me how great zerO was, yet I just saw a lump of bs. I felt odd, alone, thinking, What’s wrong with me.

Then I discovered Stop Obama, lifesaver, but they started to blog less and less and in searching to feel connected to sanity, I found this sanctuary. thanks.

  • APark

Thanks to Larry and all the contributors and commentators. This is my favorite blog. Always interesting articles, comments and laughs. I visit several times a day and always learn something new.

    LOVE IT!!!!

    Keep up the great work.

  • steel magnolia

Larry, I love your site. You have kept me sane during the insanity of this political season. I’ve had to leave every other blog I used to visit because of the horrific thuggery and name-calling of Hillary supporters after we refused to knuckle under and support this anti-white, anti-semetic, anti-American Black Liberation Theology believing man.
I am NOT rewarding a party for its despicable and unethical behavior. For the first time in my life, I’m putting country before party. I refuse to hold my nose one more time and vote for the wrong man for my country. I’ll always love Hill and Bill but –

I too am thankful for finding this great blog. I don’t post much but read and share it with a friend at work.

These days it’s hard to find anything to laugh about but there are times commenters on here have made me laugh until I cried. I also like to thank them.

And to all the bloggers and you Larry for giving me a place where I know I’m not alone in my concerns.

“Now, back to our regular programming.” by Larry Johnson

on other sites they will end with:

Now, back to our regular re-programming

    thanks Larry and Susan

i have a question and i’m sure i’m not the only regular reader that maybe observed that.

how come every new thread, the first or maybe one of the first posts are by trolls. i guess they r waiting for the thread to show up, post and incite discord.

just an observation. i know that u r against censorship, but how about if u delete trolls for the first 10 comments. let’s see how the thread is developing without annoyances.

i’m sure this great community can create a dialogue, or discuss the topic. when they start posting, all the posts become already a re-post to the trolls

i have a weird schedule and most of the time i’m reading the threads during the nigthtime, and yes i’m also on PT. some threads become difficult to enjoy because most of the answers r re-post and a continuos battle with the same loosers: FF, sfhillary, francis ….and some smart ass like UMB. more later about that

    thanks again, and greetings all

    • tzada

If no responses are given to the trolls, then they will get tired (hope) and go away. If not go away, then it will make them highly irate. lol

  • http://www.JohnMcCain.com Berserk Ohitler is the embodiment of pure evil

Mr. Larry you are great guy and this is the only blog I visit regularly. NQ is the champagne of blogs as far as I am concerned. This blog is the home of some deep thinking misfits who would rather cross party lines than elect the worst possible choice for president, Berserk Ohitler. This blog highlights the true American spirit of respect for diverging views albeit sometimes we get impatient with the troll subspecies of humanity.

Thanks goes back to you. I don’t think I could survive this election without NQ. In you and the regulars of this blog I find many a kindred spirit. Hats off to every one of you!

  • Patti

I just love coming here. Been here since the early days of the primary. Started as a lurker, then just started commenting.

Love reading the articles. And I have told all my “offline” friends and family about what I have learned here.

Keep up the fun, engaging and learning site. this moderate leaning conservative likes it here.

  • yttik

Thank you Larry Johnson and all the No Quarter writers. I would have gone insane without you.

Before I found No quarter I was trying to figure out which felony I could comit in order to lose my voting rights. I’d already tried burning my voter’s registration card, but they just send you another. And another. And another. It’s kind of like being trapped in the Matrix.

So anyway, I’m still insane but at least no laws have been broken, LOL.

Larry and Susan and all who post here:

I’m sure that I can attribute what sanity I have left after the the happenings of the past year to all of you, and for that I will be eternally grateful. We have all found such community here, such validation that we are not alone, that the spirit of revolution keeps growing and growing, and that the internet, once touted as the tool Obama would use to win the Presidency, will eventually be the instrument of his downfall.

Thanks for all of your hard work on creating and maintaining this blog, Larry. I was at a loss when the other politic blogs I used to read where taken over by liberal fascists.

Thanks to Susan and other volunteers too.

Just wanted to say, after having been a lurker since January, that I love, love, love this site and all who post here. Keep up the good work, Larry and Susan.

Larry – You and the No Qurter team, as well as the MILLIONS of us who want Democracy back in the Democratic Party are in it together. Thank you for being a powerful voice.

Thanks Larry…and Susan for this blog. I sometimes feel like an addict…coming here daily for my fix. Will I have to go cold turkey on November 5th? Not looking forward to withdrawls…(sigh)…

Thanks Larry and Susan for all your hard work keeping this site working. My best.

  • andySF

Thanks Larry for your blog. I am really happy that you allow all opinion on this blog. Lots of great post and many intelligent people. As an independent voter, unbiased(left or right) sites are hard to find.

  • Firefly

Larry and Susan UnPC and everybody else who makes this such a great site – THANK YOU!

I seriously think I would have gone crazy without No Quarter these last 6 months or so – a shame I didn’t discover you earlier.

And, I’m so glad – though not at all surprised – that NQ is doing so well – take THAT barky and corporate propaganda media and DNC and barkybots!

  • just me

I get shakes after 4hours if I have not swung by here or Uppitys!! Thank you for keeping me sane..

Thank you Larry Susan & everyone you sure make a great place..

  • Silver

Thanks as well, Larry. It’s so nice having a place to voice a differing opinion without being censored.

Also, high five to Susan for liking cats!! I’m feeding two strays myself.

    • kbdabear

Bless you for caring for the cats. Hopefully they’ll end up in a loving home.

I’ve been a little sad the last few days since one of the cats I adopted 8 years ago had to be put to sleep due to liver and kidney disease.

      • http://www.rabblerouserruminations.blogspot.com/ Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy

That is so sad! My heart goes out to you! That is so painful – I can really relate…

Btw, I have two cats, two kittens I adopted from the SPCA two months ago, and two dogs, both rescues (and I had two greyhounds, also rescues, who died last year). Oh, and a horse, but he is stabled down the road. He’s also a rescue – joint problems keep him from being a hunter/jumped, and his former owner wanted to shoot him. He’s a gorgeous 21 yr old thoroughbred, happy, and healthy, enjoying a life of leisure! :-)

  • AngryWhitePerson

And I have to thank all the former Taylor Marsh posters who turned me on to NoQuarter. First article I ever read here was about Empty Seats at Rutherford, one of those magical Obama events made to look even more magical by the power of the zoom tool. This site is fantastic, I pass it on whenever I can.

  • Susanjane

Thank you Larry et al. I am a TM refugee who ran for my life from her site. I am addicted to NQ, especially in this crazy, volatile election season. Thanks for helping me through my Hillary withdrawal.

Larry’s Fuck You Obama was the article that seduced me….chuckle…It was EXACTLY HOW I FELT !…Aaaand the only effective way to express it as well.Been a regular fan o the site and it’s merry band of troll spankers ever since….

  • kbdabear

I’ve been coming to this site often since I found it about 10 days ago.

I’m not registered to any party although I have a Republican-Libertarian attitude.

My compliments on the research and sharing of information on your site. I’m enjoying reading some other points of view other than my own, and though we have many viewpoints not in common, I like going to see the viewpoints without the vulgar, vile, juvenile and even demented rubbish seen on Kos or DU.

I hope you and your sources can discover what Uh-Bama is hiding in the Chicago Annenberg files. Since the MSM is busy digging up personal dirt in Alaska and trying to convince us that Sarah Palin is some sort of monster for firing a commissioner who refused to fire a kid-tasering thuggish cop, I don’t expect the MSM to give us more about Annenberg than a “nothing to see here” attitude.

  • kcfromtx

Thanks Larry and Susan for this great site. This site and Bitterpoliticz is a welcome relief from the biased MSM.

  • kcfromtx

Oops, meant you are a welcome relief from obamamedia.

A heartfelt thank you to Larry and Susan for a fantastic blog and opening the doors for everyone to make comments.

Thank you to Bud White, Charles Lemos, Steve Diamond, Ani, LisaB, Rev. Amy, Uppity Woman, soldier4hillary, dcmediagirl, NewHamster, Sugar, and the many others that have contributed.

Everyone here has been terrific to newbies.

    God Bless you all!

  • sowsear

I love this site, too, but I usually have a hard time getting on. I don’t know whether it’s my computer/myIP/Impatience/or what? It’s especially difficult when a new article goes up. I usually have to wait until at least 50 or more people have posted before something clicks in. I have DSL/WIFI so it’s not that.
Anyway, once I get on, I’m likely to stay for hours.

  • Andy

Thank you Larry, SusanUnPC and everyone in the group of thoughtful and clever writers that contribute this blog.

    Cheers.

  • DisenfranchisedVoter

Thanks for everything that you do Larry. I’ve been a fan since the beginning of the year when the blogosphere seemed to have fallen apart and there was no where anyone with a different viewpoint besides being an Obamabot could express their opinions.

The fact that this site now gets more traffic than TalkLeft, FireDogLake or TaylorMarsh says a lot. It reflects the huge amount of suppressed dissent and dissatisfaction with the current Democratic nominee by millions of people in this country who refuse to be talked down to or pressured into voting for an unqualified candidate. It reflects the current poll numbers and the anger that millions of liberal Democrats and independents feel towards the Democratic Party, mainstream media, and Left blogosphere.

Here is to another 5 million hits!

    • DisenfranchisedVoter

Oh, and thank you to SusanUnPC, UppityWoman, BudWhite, Sugar, Charles Lemos, soldier4hillary, and everyone else who have helped make this blog a success. Great work!

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Thank You! I enjoy the insightful writings of yourself, susanunpc, uppity, pagan, tominpaine, bud white and all the rest of your gang. I can usually find something that makes me feel like all is well with the world because at least SOMEONE is keeping an eye on these slippery characters. Thanks again!

  • ontariogirl

Lurker from Canada, love this site, every woman I know is disgusted at the way women are being treated in the States by the supposed “liberal” party. We are very happy to see that women aren’t sitting back and taking it.

I really don’t care who wins, I have no horse in that race, however, as a woman, I see women as the real winners in this election, not matter what else happens, American women are showing the world what sisterhood means.

    You go girls!

  • ame

This is a great site. I check in every so often because No Quarter updates so frequently. Really interesting stuff too.

  • zgirl

    Larry- your blog rocks.

    thank you a thousand times!

  • Bellevue_NW_Voter

Larry, Thanks for running this blog. And contributors, thanks for posting all of the entries. Our cause doesn’t enjoy much MSM support, so it’s great to visit here and find less-filtered versions of current events.

I’m not sure how I found NQ, but do recall that I showed up because I was a Hillary supporter aghast at the takeover of my lifetime party (Democratic) by the far left. As someone said recently, they’re so far left that they’ve gone around the circle and are now very close to the far right. I now spend more time here than ANY other online site, watching this movement evolve and occasionally posting a comment or two, on the rare occasion that I have something to add that hasn’t been said here before.

I pass along the information I find here to others around me, and have used it to debunk the claims of obots at work (fake banned books list, Trig controversy, etc.).

As the Obama campaign has shown us, netroots organization can be very effective. This site does a good job of showing that the ability to play the netroots game well enough to have a serious impact on an election isn’t limited to Obama supporters or, for that matter, any particular demographic more specific than “people with access to the Internet.”

  • SensibleWomanNOTforBO

Larry, Susan & all you other wonderful bloggers here,

I mostly lurk due to so much going on in my life at this time, but you all have been my constant companions at home, and while traveling on my BB & on my laptop. This blog is the ONLY place I’ve found where I can separate the wheat from the chaffe. I really appreciate the many different voices that have provided so many open, honest perspectives here.

Although sometimes it’s necessary to just scroll past troll issues, I still appreciate that different views are welcomed. Those conversations have contributed greatly to my own political education in this election. I have no doubt in my choice for Pres/VP ticket because of that.

Thank you VERY much for standing your ground when the battle to keep this blog up & running was going on. I REALLY appreciate the sacrifices you all have made to make this blog with absolutely necessary information possible and keep it going.

  • EightBelles

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Larry, Susan and all the other extraordinary NQ writers who help in keeping our vast network of disenchanted Dems & former Dems up to date on the political front. Noquarterusa is one of the few political blogs I consider to be trustworthy. I check for new articles as often as my schedule permits. Thanks for a job well done!

  • KB

Thanks Larry & Susan, I don’t know what I would have done without you and all the others who post here. I’ve been lurking since January and truly I’m addicted. My husband calls you my dark master!

  • navyvet48

Thank you Larry for accepting and hiring me! I hope I have not disappointed you or Susan. At the beginning of my first piece I was afraid you all would think I was nuts….no pun intended. Thank you for believing in me….and for believing my theory. We had a good run. And it never ends because now Obama is trying to funnel more money to that NUTTY group….I covered it again tonight! It seems that NUTTY group will win out in more than one way if Obama is elected he owes them big….I still think it was that nutty group helped him cheat in the caucuses. Thanks you two….I heart you both!

  • Linda

Great news Larry, I thank you, too.

…and Susan, she’s incredible-absolutely. She’s like a friend who picks up the phone to fill you in on things. Only we get to jump here and see her latest.

Thank you ALL for making such a great community.

  • Deb

I hear you and had to vent today towards abc (the view) today. The people on tv seem to have lost all sense of character.. my little voice to them follows..
Did anyone on The View attend college; or are you just bigots at heart? Who the hell ask a U.S. Senator; Do I have to worry about slavery? They need to apologize to him for such rude conduct. FYI – The 13th Amendment to the Constitution states “neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except for punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

good night all, hope all in TX/LA are well tonight.

I don’t know… a woman who goes around looking like she has seen the better side of a bad S&M session should learn not to judge others so harshly.

I love musicians but they have never impressed me with their wit and intelligence.

As for Pamela, I forgive her oral fixation. Not everyone is as interested in “sucking” as Pam is. And that is one woman who has put her money where her mouth is, literally.

This is a special place mainly because of your courage, Larry, and that of your contributors…especially susan. Thank you for not backing off the search for truth even when the going gets rough. Someday we’ll look back and recognize No Quarter as the sanest, best, and often the only, source for information we desperately need.

  • Athena The Warrior

Thank you Larry, Susan, the writers and everyone (including the dopey trolls!) for making this such a great place to come to. This is one of the first places I visit when I log on.

The combination of great information mixed with a wicked amount of snark makes this one of the best blogs around.

Stopping the hate and poking the trolls,

    Hi Larry
I live in Australia and wouldn’t miss reading your blog for all the tea in China. I find your opinions, and those of your guest writers, to be genrally very objective. I am sick and tired of biased journalism which is contrary to what true journalism should be. What ever happened to reporting the news in order to enable the reader could make up his or her own mind on the situation at hand. I hope your blog lives on for a long time to come because we need you.

As a conservative i want to say thanks for offering me some evidence that not everyone on the other side is a raving maniac…. and that there is hope that we can unite in our common interest while respecting that which divides us.

I second this statement. I discovered this site during the primary season, and visit multiple times a day. I’m an unaffiliated voter, and I much appreciate the diversity of the participants and the great work by you and your front page posters. We are united in defeating BO,(I was Hill all the way this year) but this site allows all of us to come together on common ground despite our differences. I will always visit here, even after the election. Thanks for being here.

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

Thanks to Larry and the crew and also THE COMMUNITY! I am in California in the middle of Obamaland and if it not for NoQuarter and a few other sane places on the net, I would be feeling like an alien on my own planet.

  • jyotinc

Dang Larry, I thought you’ll closing the door. You, Susan and the rest really did a fantastic job. I have to see NQ early in the morning before I brush my teeth. Do I need to say more?

  • Lipstick LaPig

    Thank YOU, Larry.
    You have saved my sanity.
Without NQ, I would be bald from tearing my hair out.

I appreciate the tolerance here to disagreement – when it is obviously not from a troll.

I’m against B.O. and will not vote for him. But am not a McCain/Palin fan. And it means a great deal that you don’t expect anyone to be.

  • Peggy Sue

This has been a safe haven for many of us. For myself, as an ardent Hillary supporter, latter day Democrat and now amazingly a McCain supporter, this site has been cocoon to voice my dissent, dismay and utter outrage. Also a testing ground as I express my political views to friends, neighbors and family members [I've shocked a number in the last few months because I hail from a long line of Democratic loyalists].

Like minds and hearts find solace in this insane election year on a board like this one. The pointed and intelligent articles raise the ante for other sites, as well.

We even get to smack a few trolls around.

    What’s not to like? ;0)

Thanks for all your hard work and commitment. The masses are grateful.

If it weren’t for NQ I don’t know what I would have done with my outrage and utter sadness at the outcome of this charade. NQ has kept me going, kept me informed and given me hope that ordinary citizens can (and must) do what needs be done to stop this very frightening takeover of our democracy. Thank you for all you do.

    Larry ~

I don’t think you yet realize what a lifeline you were for a great many of us.

I confessed, I tried dating other blogs (I kissed a girl blog and I didn’t like it! The taste of Obama’s Cherry butt lips … ew! Taylor!)

I learned it’s not the size of your blog roll that counts (snark).

One of the reasons I think this blog works is that Larry’s ego isn’t playing bouncer at the door.

    Thank YOU Larry!

Thank you so much Larry and Susan for all your hard work. I spend hours on No Quarter everyday. I am a refugee from Obamington Post.

I have been reading No Quarter for some years but would go to Obamington Post first thing each morning until it became an Obama campaign mouthpiece.

Susan, I love cats also and am the proud mother of Orange Crush and Periwinkle.

In closing I must post this quote from Joe Biden again. Maybe he is an undercover PUMA?

Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight. She’s a truly close personal friend; she is qualified to be president of the United States of America. She’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America and, quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me, but she is first-rate.

  • Zelda Crunch

It is we who thank you Larry. An oasis of sanity and sense on an increasingly bizarre political web. Thanks ever so much!

  • hillarysmygirl

You’re thanking us? I am so grateful for all of you here at NQ…you got me through the primaries, when I was so angry at the DNC and the MSM for the way they treated Hillary, for the way they fixed the election and forced an inadequate candidate down our throats. You got me through my anger at Barry for the disrespectful way he treated Hillary supporters, telling us he didn’t have time to pander to us, that we just had to get over it. As a result, I am calmer and more at peace with what’s happened. I will forgive them to keep my peace of mind, but I will never forget. NQ is the first place I come in the morning with my coffee and the last place I check at night for the Truth. Instead of reading the BS that my daily newspaper hands me, that my poor, misguided friends send me in e-mails, I look to you for the Truth. Thank you for continuing to light the way for us. I pray that you’ll be with us through 2012, when once again we come out, 18 million PLUS strong for Hillary. Thank YOU.

    p.s. I like cats too. Sorry. ;)

  • Sue

Thank you Larry. I love this site.

  • LBz

Thanks Larry. As many others have noted above, your site has been a refuge for those of us who are long-time Democrats horrified by the play-out of the 2008 Democratic primary season.

I’m keeping No Quarter as a Fav beyond Nov. 4th because I have a feeling that, once Senator Obama joins Senator Kerry as Famous Dems Who Snatched Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory, the recriminations will begin and you and Susan and this site will be perfectly positioned to help lead us to a re-thinking of who should lead the Democratic Party.

    Dear Larry and Susan,
I want to add my thankyou and appreciation for creating No Quarter and keeping the discourse largely above the frey. Sanctuary during the darkest days, a community of stable Americans who look to themselves, not some charismatic charlatan, to work through the challenges and master political determination. Thank you for giving us each other as well. We have found our common voice and with it we sing the “America The Beautiful” we can now re-invent. I trust that Palin-McCain is more likely to prosecute Bush-Cheyney for possible violations of the Constitution than our own Dems, and in the process, teach the DNC what their long gone jobs should have been.

Larry, My son and I have read No Quarter for months
and it has kept us sane in a political climate that has gone mad. It is our job to keep the rest of the family informed and the regular posters have become an extended family. Even though my son has wandered off to college, we still communicate about NQ. Last week when my husband and I were on our land splitting word for the upcoming season,(we make and sell maple syrup as a side business) I heard my cell phone go off and wandered away from the noise of the wood splitter to hear my son say on the other end,
“Mom, guess what Uppity Woman” just wrote!…

Larry, It is you that deserves thanks. You have created a refuge from the howling rants that abound on sites I used to visit. One trip here and I was hooked.

After the GE is over I hope that you will remain a force and keep this site open. We know now that things have gotten out of hand with the MSM and Government. We sensed something wrong but we lalala it away. Never Again!

The writers here are funny, snarky and wise. Their articles well written and factual. The forum posters here are knowledgeable, well read and express their thoughts with sincerity and clarity.

    America First…

I didn’t find NQ till after the primaries. It’s kept my fighting spirit up since then without fail. Thank you for helping me hold my head high as a proud PUMA on the Kool-Aid drenched Upper West Side of Manhattan.

  • Margaret

Thanks Larry and Susan for this amazing site. And, kudos to Susan for liking cats. I have three cats, myself.

Have been an avid reader since soon after Feb. 5th. Right now I am especially grateful for all you do as I am cooped up at home recovering from major surgery (2 weeks in, another 4 weeks to go).

I was in the hospital during the DNC convention and thank God I had a Republican roommate who didn’t turn on the convention once!

Again, thanks for all you do!

  • they shoe horses don’t they

Thank you, No Quarter, for all the news, information, great writing and the humor…the humorkeeps me going. I was so disgusted by the caucus pucky, and am glad I found No Quarter.I will never be a democrat until the democratic party is, well, democratic. Thank you Larry and Susan, and all the writers. When you throw in the commenters, we have a wonderful community. Incidently, I have an autoimmune condition that affects my shoulders, and it is painful to raise my arms, difficult to comb my hair(sometimes impossible)and yes, keyboarding is very painful. I salute John McCain.

I saw this just now. Thanks Larry, Susan for all the hard work (and Susan for her prompt replies to my email, she is always nice and polite.)

    Larry –

I wanted yo thank you for the work you and the other bloggers do on this blog. I think I found it through a link from Glenn Reynolds.

I probably do not agree with you or most of your readers and co-bloggers. I generally vote republican in federal elections. But I actually thought about changing my registration to democrat to vote for Hillary in the primary, because I am so concerned about what would happen if Obama gets elected. I think hillary would have made a good president, certainly better than her husband…and if had come down to her and one of the other republican candidates, I may have voted for her.

    Dear Larry and Susan,

I was so thrilled to be asked to join the writers’ staff here. Thank you both for encouraging me and offering me a safe and cooperative haven to express my ideas, and sometimes, my rage.

I am very proud to work with such a wonderful group of people, fighting so hard to get information out there, beyond the pablum of the MSM.

Your confidence in me is deeply appreciated.

    • Ani

Yes — and many thanks to our loyal visitors!

  • Sassy

    Thanks Larry and Susan!
This is my favorite place for information!
Yes, sometimes I see red, sometimes I laugh, sometimes I feel as though the bottom is falling out!
The authors here have real talent and provide a service to all of us! Thanks ladies and gents!

Laryy, you’ve corned the market or truth and snsibility. A majority of Americans seek these commodities and search until they find it. Thus your high volume traffic.

Daily Kos, TM and other anti-Hillary, anti-democracy sites have been taught a lesson about being true to one’s ideals, loyalty, and taking a stand against false idols.

Yes, Larry, thanks for letting us share our passions on No Quarter. Becoming the cartoonist here was the best therapy in the world for me!

Thank you everyone for coming to visit us!

I am embarassed to say how many times a day I check out NQ. I like to think Hillary comes here, too. Thanks, Larry, Susan and the rest as well as other commenters for helping maintain my mental health since Hillary was robbed.

  • Ben David

Larry, no, “thank you” for putting it all front and allowing us to either agree or disagree. Unlike other sites that want folks to tow the line and no disagreements are welcome, you and the other contributors express yourself and mean what you say, and say what you mean. I appreciate that, and continued success.

    Friend,

Larry, thank you. This is one of the most democratic sites on the internets – democratic in the true sense of the word where truth wins out and opinions are respected (as long as they are nice about it). I started coming after reading you on the big orange long ago. I often used your December post on why you were impressed with Hillary when talking to people that were having trouble deciding who to support. Many people were swayed by your words. This site has opened my eyes to the corruption and lies of the media and the dem party elites and, sad to say, the people I once thought were “progressive” bloggers. Because of NQ I have become the one that my family comes to for the latest info on the election. I use to be the hippy in Alaska. Now I am the truth teller. Boy how things change.

    Larry & Susan -

I have been coming here for approximately 9 months and I thank you not only for the articles/posts, but for the enormous EFFORT that goes into staying up late searching and researching the internet way into the early morning hours to bring all of us the latest info we need in order to be armed in this fight.

You and Susan do this night after night after night and I deeply honor and respect you both for that service, in addition to your authored articles and insight.

As has been voiced by so many, I also am happy to see that this site has not been turned over to Obamamanics. I agree wholeheartedly with freedom of speech, but they have their own sites for that freedom in addition to all the sites they have invaded and stolen with the aimed goal of taking away Hillary supporters freedom of speech through their intimidation tactics.

Overall I come here for the affinity, although I do appreciate this being a site where the reader can post a differing view from the writer and still be respected and appreciated just as different writers can have different takes from one another.

But, it is a human tendency for like minds to gather – there is nothing wrong with that – so, most of all, I come here for the affinity and comradery. That is what has kept me and most of us sane throughout this insane election season. I believe it is what has helped this site to GROW. No Quarter provided what has been NEEDED – needed in our hearts, minds and souls.

Congratulations on the growth, radio and numbers and thanks for everything!!!

Visiting here is like stepping into a local tavern at the time of the founding fathers.

It’s the warmth from a blazing fire in the hearth and the sound of hearty laughter that draws you through the door on a cold and blistery night. The food is good, the ale tasty and the people interesting.

After a while you notice a small group in a far corner with their heads huddled together. The voices rise and fall. You draw closer. Their words are angry, thoughtful, funny and intense. You listen entranced as they rail against a king and argue their convictions for democracy and what it could mean. Your mind races. Eventually you add your own voice, you own words. Hours pass, your voice becomes spent. Reluctantly you bundle up to go home.

As you leave the sign over the tavern door is swinging wildly, but the words help you stand tall as you turn your face into the wind – No Quarter.

    You’ll be back.

I would like to say thank you to Larry, the team that helps contribute the informative articles & all of the readers who take the time to add to this site.

I used to visit some other popular sites, but my words would get drowned out by the Obama maniacs. They believe “the one” could do no wrong. I was beginning to think the whole country had went bonkers for this idiot. Thank goodness I was able to find sites like No Quarter. It is nice to know that some of us still have common sense & put America first.

    Thank you all!

    Thanks Larry

I stumbled on to NQ sometime last year before the debates and primaries got heated up.

I was googling for who knows what when free association led me to NQ. I had a “Holy Crap What A Great Site” moment.

Now, I spend quality time here every day.

When Nov 4 comes and goes, and all the other sites dissapear into internet oblivion, NQ will still be relevent and contemporary.

This is my internet home now, my community. I moved here because I think critcally, I don’t drink Kool Aid, and I won’t fall in line just because I am told so. I thus identify with 95% of the others who are here.

We are the Mavericks, and the Misfits. We want what is best for our country and can cast aside partisanship.

I know that is why I identify with McCain, and why I was ecstatic with his pick of Palin.

YES Larry. THANKS for giving us all a venue for our voices to be heard and our ideas to be exchanged among open minds.

Thank you, Larry and Susan, and all the great writers, and the hilarious commentators like Jeremiah GD America Wright – a community of free thought. This has been a sanctuary. I found this place because someone was bitching about you on a liberal blog that I can’t bring myself to name. I came and stayed.

  • JP49

Thank you Larry and thank you Susan. Your readers are happy that you decided to begin this site. It has been a haven and an information boom to all of us. A place for us to vent and discuss what we have not been able to do on most other sites. Thank you and God bless you.

    Please pass around…..

ABC Busted On Hiding Sarah Palin’s Full Answers- Updated with abc news contarct url

NewsBusters has the detailed and a link to the original transcript, but a teaser of the type of
things ABC deliberately didn’t show the viewing public is below: (Contact Form to ABC below the post, in case some want to ask them why they cut out important portions of Palin’s answers)

Next we see that Palin was not nearly as hostile towards Russia as was presented in the edited interview:

GIBSON: Let me ask you about some specific national security situations.

    PALIN: Sure.

GIBSON: Let’s start, because we are near Russia, let’s start with Russia and Georgia.

The administration has said we’ve got to maintain the territorial integrity of Georgia. Do you believe the United States should try to restore Georgian sovereignty over South Ossetia and Abkhazia?

PALIN: First off, we’re going to continue good relations with Saakashvili there. I was able to speak with him the other day and giving him my commitment, as John McCain’s running mate, that we will be committed to Georgia. And we’ve got to keep an eye on Russia. For Russia to have exerted such pressure in terms of invading a smaller democratic country, unprovoked, is unacceptable and we have to keep…

    GIBSON: You believe unprovoked.

PALIN: I do believe unprovoked and we have got to keep our eyes on Russia, under the leadership there. I think it was unfortunate. That manifestation that we saw with that invasion of Georgia shows us some steps backwards that Russia has recently taken away from the race toward a more democratic nation with democratic ideals. That’s why we have to keep an eye on Russia.

And, Charlie, you’re in Alaska. We have that very narrow maritime border between the United States, and the 49th state, Alaska, and Russia. They are our next door neighbors. We need to have a good relationship with them. They’re very, very important to us and they are our next door neighbor.

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

PALIN: They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they’re doing in Georgia?

PALIN: Well, I’m giving you that perspective of how small our world is and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good relation with all of these countries, especially Russia. We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it’s in their benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be getting along.

We also see from Palin’s following remark, which was also edited out, that she is far from some sort of latter day Cold Warrior which the edited interview made her seem to be:

We cannot repeat the Cold War. We are thankful that, under Reagan, we won the Cold War, without a shot fired, also. We’ve learned lessons from that in our relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union.

We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it’s in their benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be getting along.

The portion that NewsBusters put in bold are whole segments of Palin’s answers that they just edited out and didn’t make available to the public.

All interviews are edited but the bias shown in how the interview was presented to the American public in relation to the actual answers that were given by Palin, shows an incredible amount of behind the scenes deliberation to show the public only what they wanted them to see instead of what the public wanted to see, which was all of Palin’s answers.

NewsBusters has much more information on removed segments of Sarah Palin’s answers.

Read the whole interview to see how ABC has tried to play the public.

I am adding the contact URL for ABC News, so people who see how much of Palin’s answers were deliberately hid from the viewing public, can ask them why they felt the need to hide Sarah Palin’s full answers from people that depended on the television interview to get the answers about Palin they were seeking.

. Now why would Charlie Gibs

on do this as he gives Obama a free pass in not tellingPosted by Susan Duclos at 10:53 AM
