Larry, Thanks for running this blog. And contributors, thanks for posting all of the entries. Our cause doesn’t enjoy much MSM support, so it’s great to visit here and find less-filtered versions of current events.

I’m not sure how I found NQ, but do recall that I showed up because I was a Hillary supporter aghast at the takeover of my lifetime party (Democratic) by the far left. As someone said recently, they’re so far left that they’ve gone around the circle and are now very close to the far right. I now spend more time here than ANY other online site, watching this movement evolve and occasionally posting a comment or two, on the rare occasion that I have something to add that hasn’t been said here before.

I pass along the information I find here to others around me, and have used it to debunk the claims of obots at work (fake banned books list, Trig controversy, etc.).

As the Obama campaign has shown us, netroots organization can be very effective. This site does a good job of showing that the ability to play the netroots game well enough to have a serious impact on an election isn’t limited to Obama supporters or, for that matter, any particular demographic more specific than “people with access to the Internet.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Larry, Susan and all the other extraordinary NQ writers who help in keeping our vast network of disenchanted Dems & former Dems up to date on the political front. Noquarterusa is one of the few political blogs I consider to be trustworthy. I check for new articles as often as my schedule permits. Thanks for a job well done!

I live in Australia and wouldn’t miss reading your blog for all the tea in China. I find your opinions, and those of your guest writers, to be genrally very objective. I am sick and tired of biased journalism which is contrary to what true journalism should be. What ever happened to reporting the news in order to enable the reader could make up his or her own mind on the situation at hand. I hope your blog lives on for a long time to come because we need you.

As a conservative i want to say thanks for offering me some evidence that not everyone on the other side is a raving maniac…. and that there is hope that we can unite in our common interest while respecting that which divides us.

I second this statement. I discovered this site during the primary season, and visit multiple times a day. I’m an unaffiliated voter, and I much appreciate the diversity of the participants and the great work by you and your front page posters. We are united in defeating BO,(I was Hill all the way this year) but this site allows all of us to come together on common ground despite our differences. I will always visit here, even after the election. Thanks for being here.

This has been a safe haven for many of us. For myself, as an ardent Hillary supporter, latter day Democrat and now amazingly a McCain supporter, this site has been cocoon to voice my dissent, dismay and utter outrage. Also a testing ground as I express my political views to friends, neighbors and family members [I've shocked a number in the last few months because I hail from a long line of Democratic loyalists].

Like minds and hearts find solace in this insane election year on a board like this one. The pointed and intelligent articles raise the ante for other sites, as well.

We even get to smack a few trolls around.

I have been coming here for approximately 9 months and I thank you not only for the articles/posts, but for the enormous EFFORT that goes into staying up late searching and researching the internet way into the early morning hours to bring all of us the latest info we need in order to be armed in this fight.

You and Susan do this night after night after night and I deeply honor and respect you both for that service, in addition to your authored articles and insight.

As has been voiced by so many, I also am happy to see that this site has not been turned over to Obamamanics. I agree wholeheartedly with freedom of speech, but they have their own sites for that freedom in addition to all the sites they have invaded and stolen with the aimed goal of taking away Hillary supporters freedom of speech through their intimidation tactics.

Overall I come here for the affinity, although I do appreciate this being a site where the reader can post a differing view from the writer and still be respected and appreciated just as different writers can have different takes from one another.

But, it is a human tendency for like minds to gather – there is nothing wrong with that – so, most of all, I come here for the affinity and comradery. That is what has kept me and most of us sane throughout this insane election season. I believe it is what has helped this site to GROW. No Quarter provided what has been NEEDED – needed in our hearts, minds and souls.

I stumbled on to NQ sometime last year before the debates and primaries got heated up.

I was googling for who knows what when free association led me to NQ. I had a “Holy Crap What A Great Site” moment.

Now, I spend quality time here every day.

When Nov 4 comes and goes, and all the other sites dissapear into internet oblivion, NQ will still be relevent and contemporary.

This is my internet home now, my community. I moved here because I think critcally, I don’t drink Kool Aid, and I won’t fall in line just because I am told so. I thus identify with 95% of the others who are here.

We are the Mavericks, and the Misfits. We want what is best for our country and can cast aside partisanship.

I know that is why I identify with McCain, and why I was ecstatic with his pick of Palin.

That’s why we have to keep an eye on Russia.

And, Charlie, you’re in Alaska. We have that very narrow maritime border between the United States, and the 49th state, Alaska, and Russia. They are our next door neighbors.We need to have a good relationship with them. They’re very, very important to us and they are our next door neighbor.

GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?

PALIN: They’re our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.

GIBSON: What insight does that give you into what they’re doing in Georgia?

PALIN: Well, I’m giving you that perspective of how small our world is and how important it is that we work with our allies to keep good relation with all of these countries, especially Russia. We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it’s in their benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be getting along.

We also see from Palin’s following remark, which was also edited out, that she is far from some sort of latter day Cold Warrior which the edited interview made her seem to be:

We cannot repeat the Cold War. We are thankful that, under Reagan, we won the Cold War, without a shot fired, also. We’ve learned lessons from that in our relationship with Russia, previously the Soviet Union.

We will not repeat a Cold War. We must have good relationship with our allies, pressuring, also, helping us to remind Russia that it’s in their benefit, also, a mutually beneficial relationship for us all to be getting along.

The portion that NewsBusters put in bold are whole segments of Palin’s answers that they just edited out and didn’t make available to the public.

All interviews are edited but the bias shown in how the interview was presented to the American public in relation to the actual answers that were given by Palin, shows an incredible amount of behind the scenes deliberation to show the public only what they wanted them to see instead of what the public wanted to see, which was all of Palin’s answers.
