If this pattern doesn’t make you stand in line the very minute your polls open on November 4, I don’t know what will.

Recently I posted a piece on how the organized the DSA (Democratic Socialists of America) and the CCDS Marxist-Leninist party are working hard for Obama too–from Chicago, of course. The Real Barack Obama has also recently reported that Chicago’s Marxist Party is also working hard for Barack Obama.

Well, The Real Barack Obama blog now informs us that we can add the Communist Party to the list.

In shades of the late 60s and the early 70s, I see a Barack Obama pattern here that has little to do with Democracy. Let’s just say these people don’t wave the American flag a lot or enjoy Democracy as we know it.

Toss in an Obama Cold Call Center In Gaza City, an endorsement and campaign contributions from Hamas, Ethnic Cleansing Cousin Odinga, a crazed Jihad-loving Zbigniew Brzezinski as his top foreign advisor, endorsementa from Iran and North Korea’s currently comatosed “Dear Leader,” and I would say we have a real problem here in the candidacy of the still-unvetted Barack Obama, wouldn’t you? I’d say we’re talking about a guy who is planning Change You Simply Cannot Believe. I mean, it’s a good thing Stalin and Guevara aren’t still alive or they would be endorsing Obama too.

The Real Barack Obama has the full story here on the recent Communist Barack Obama endorsement. Here are some quotes:

Libero Della Piana is New York State chairman of the Communist Party USA, former national organiser of the party and a member of the CPUSA’s 140 strong National Council.

Like virtually all of the CPUSA’s several thousand members and supporters, Della Piana is working to elect Barack Obama to the US Presidency.

Comrade Della Piana sees the upcoming US election as an opportunity to change the direction of the US.

From the CPUSA’s People’s Weekly World blog, September 5, 2008

Della Piana This Labor Day working people and their families in New York State are in an exciting and challenging moment. For the first time in years, the labor movement together with its broad movement allies, has the potential to change the course of the country in a more positive direction.

The 2008 Presidential election is historic. Not only has the Democratic Party nominated an African American as its candidate for the first time, but there have also been record turnouts in the primaries and a vibrant grassroots movement has developed.

No wonder Putin likes Obama so much.

  • You right-wingers just don’t get the left.

The CPUSA and Harrington’s old DSA are as alike as Cheney and Nader.

I’m surprised those old Stalinist fossils in the CPUSA figured out html. Get two of them together and you end up with three warring factions.

Other than that, the party congress is held in a telephone booth.

The Democratic Socialists, on the other hand, are very cuddly commies. They were very instrumental in formulating New Frontier policies. Harington’s book “The Other America” sparked Kennedy’s interest in Appalachia which later grew into Johnson’s Great Society.

It’s a comforting piece of nostalgia to know that the DSA is still around, like the prizes in Cracker Jacks.

But New Zealand? New Zealand, Really?

That is a blow from below.

  • “Socialism, Marxism, Communism & Obama”

  • When Obama says we need to move the country in a new direction, what do you think he means? When he talks about a comprehensive plan for service, income redistribution through the tax system, nationalization of the medical insurance industry (and eventually the entire medical services industry), you have to be able to see what it means in practice because the only thing Obama will say about his plans is that it means a “new direction.” What he means is that he wants to establish the principle of “from each according to his ability to each according to his need.” If we don’t know already that this principle does not create affluence, that it causes economic decline, we havn’t been paying attention to history and to the millions of people who have already rejected that idea. Apparently, Obama thinks this is a “new” idea…which has to make you wonder about his ability to think rationally. In my view it disqualifies him completely.

  • Mary Kay

I heard McCain say at a town hall meeting, the ONLY reason he voted against that equal pay act was that the congress had padded it with pork. He said, “By the time these bills come up for vote, people add so much onto the bill. In order to vote down that porton of the bill, you’ve got to vote down the whole bill. It’s not that I’m against equal pay. I was against the way they padded that bill.” However, that doesn’t get reported in the MSM.

It won’t be hard for most of the American people to believe that the far left is endorsing Obama, and, if it states so on these groups’ websites, well, there you are! I can just see the ad now–probably around the middle of October!

  • ConcerndCitizenX

It is exceptionally important to understand that the reason Communist Party USA and similar groups are supporting Obama is because he does, in fact, share their world view. Marxists in America went undercover as a result of J. Edgar Hoover and Joseph McCarthy’s crusades against Communism. What we have to understand is that anyone who views the political landscape in terms of class struggle between a victim and an oppressor, no matter what format they use to encapsulate this view, is coming from the Marxist world view. Marxists and those whose politics are derived from Marxism learned the bitter leason of Hooverism and McCarthyism that in order to survive they had to hide their world view and aims behind pretty facades. Hence the rise of people like Saul Alinsky, who claimed he was not a communist, yet advocated a world view based entirely on the Marxist paradigm of class struggle. Saul Alinsky, of course, is the guy whose community organizing Obama practices even to this day in the format of his campaign. And let’s not forget the church of Rev. Wright, whose church’s black liberation theology takes the Marxist class struggle dogma one step further into a racist paradigm.

The dangerous lie of the class struggle dogma is that it generically applies the idea of “victim” to one group and demonizes and punishes a generically determined “oppressor” group. Though hiding behind supposedly good moral imperatives, this world view, in fact, results in suffering for whole hosts of innocents. Add to that the fact that those who espouse Marxist paradigms see nothing wrong with authoritarianism, distortions of truth, rejection of logic, and Machievellian “ends justify the means” methods, and you end up with Joe Stalin killing 20 million and Mao Tze Tung starving millions. It is a leap from Obama to Communism, but it is a leap that is understood, expected, and planned by those who see the world in the Marxist paradigm. We need only look to the writings of Alinksy who explicitly stated that a kind of bland, non-threatening “change” for its own sake must be promoted to the middle class in order to make them receptive to a more dramatic revolution later. Does that kind of “change” sound familiar?

We are on the cusp of a very profound moment in America. Electing Obama will not put Communists in charge of the country. But it will go one step toward making the Marxist paradigm an acceptable worldview. And it will open the door to more substantial and radical change in the direction of Communism.

There is a reason why Communism and Marxism are so despised in America. They are anti-democratic in the egg by supporting the idea of warfare between one class and another and by openly advocating authoritarianism. It is for this reason that Communism was viewed as anti-American in the 50’s, because that which opposes democracy opposes what America stands for.

We must not take this step down the road of Marxism.

We must not allow Barack Obama to win this election

WHILE campaigning in public for a speedy withdrawal of US troops from Iraq, Sen. Barack Obama has tried in private to persuade Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops – and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

“However, as an Iraqi, I prefer to have a security agreement that regulates the activities of foreign troops, rather than keeping the matter open.” Zebari says.

Though Obama claims the US presence is “illegal,” he suddenly remembered that Americans troops were in Iraq within the legal framework of a UN mandate. His advice was that, rather than reach an accord with the “weakened Bush administration,” Iraq should seek an extension of the UN mandate.

While in Iraq, Obama also tried to persuade the US commanders, including Gen. David Petraeus, to suggest a “realistic withdrawal date.” They declined.

Obama has made many contradictory statements with regard to Iraq. His latest position is that US combat troops should be out by 2010. Yet his effort to delay an agreement would make that withdrawal deadline impossible to meet.

Supposing he wins, Obama’s administration wouldn’t be fully operational before February – and naming a new ambassador to Baghdad and forming a new negotiation team might take longer still.

By then, Iraq will be in the throes of its own campaign season. Judging by the past two elections, forming a new coalition government may then take three months. So the Iraqi negotiating team might not be in place until next June.

Then, judging by how long the current talks have taken, restarting the process from scratch would leave the two sides needing at least six months to come up with a draft accord. That puts us at May 2010 for when the draft might be submitted to the Iraqi parliament – which might well need another six months to pass it into law.

everything aside, what do you infer from these endorsements?

      • I infer that in general, Democrats are closer to Communists than Republicans are, so it is no surprise that they would endorse Obama.

They also endorsed Kerry, if I recall correctly, and aside from the wingnuts, that was no big deal.

        • Perry Logan

I agree. All this talk of Obama being a commie is drivel.

Right-wingers always call any Democrat who is running for President a communist, so they have no credibility whatsoever.

They called FDR a commie; they called JFK a commie; they called Bill Clinton a commie; and they called Hillary a commie. I’m sire you see the pattern.

Demagoguery about communists will only work with right-wing types. Let’s not forget—PUMA is a Democratic group.

          • tek

ANd so perhaps they count on that fact (that Republicans always call Democrats communists) and so they believe no one will pay attention to it. You can’t deny that Obie is associated with some bona fide commies. I had professors in graduate school who were registered party members (communist) and they had sort of gone underground but were still working to take over the country. The whole department was Left and if you didn’t want to get dropped from the program you had to go along with that agenda. Democrats one and all in a field that was traditionally all male. The Far Left is not facist, they are totalitarian. Corporatists are facist. Just a little clarification. At some point in the spectrum Marxist get so far Left that they cross over with the Right. (I knew that PhD. would come in handy sometime).

        • Call them whatever the hell you want. Women must reject them and subjugate them right back.

        • Fascism is still collectivist… they are all left wing systems.

          • Not true.

Any psychologist will tell you that virtually all fascists and authoritarians are right wing. Wikipedia “Right-Wing Authoritarianism.”

            • Jaycephus

Wikipedia is edited by people who believe that. That doesn’t make it true.

Stalin, Mao, Pol-pot, Castro, etc. were all ‘authoritarian’. They were ‘right-wing’?

Just because a dictator espoused an ‘anti-communist’ stance doesn’t mean they were ‘right-wing’ either.

China is arguably going ‘corporatist’, if not there already. Are they ‘right-wing’? They certainly quack like a fascist, and in my opinion, always have, but nobody’s calling them anything but left-wing.

To address Tek, the concept of ‘spectrum’ from left to right is horribly outdated, and reading this site alone ought to reveal that to most observers. To say that fascist Germany and Italy weren’t ‘collectivist’ is ignoring a LOT of history.

The truth is, the word ‘fascist’ has almost no identifiable definition, except as a catchall for “everything we think is bad and evil”.

The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable’.

I have not here been considering the literary use of language, but merely language as an instrument for expressing and not for concealing or preventing thought. Stuart Chase and others have come near to claiming that all abstract words are meaningless, and have used this as a pretext for advocating a kind of political quietism. Since you don’t know what Fascism is, how can you struggle against Fascism? One need not swallow such absurdities as this, but one ought to recognise that the present political chaos is connected with the decay of language, and that one can probably bring about some improvement by starting at the verbal end. If you simplify your English, you are freed from the worst follies of orthodoxy. You cannot speak any of the necessary dialects, and when you make a stupid remark its stupidity will be obvious, even to yourself. Political language — and with variations this is true of all political parties, from Conservatives to Anarchists — is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can at least change one’s own habits, and from time to time one can even, if one jeers loudly enough, send some worn-out and useless phrase — some jackboot, Achilles’ heel, hotbed, melting pot, acid test, veritable inferno, or other lump of verbal refuse — into the dustbin where it belongs.

              – Politics & the English Language, George Orwell, 1946

          • Maverick

UNITY is a core principal of Islam.

No individuality or justice for all mentioned.

        • This is not so clear cut as you say, Tek. Distinguishing Fascism from Totalitarianism is a complicated matter since they overlap in many instances.

What can be said is that Fascism as an authoritarian ideology has socialist underpinnings as does Totalitarianism. Fascism, however, is more grounded in populism and hyper-nationalism, which produces the phenomenon of the masses. These masses can then be mobilized to police others (dissenters) on behalf of the state. Fascism also has the element of cult leadership which has messianic, that is, religious overtones. Communism, on the other hand, is atheistic in nature.

Perhaps what most distinguishes these two ideologies and forms of governance is the economic structure: In Fascism proper corporations reign supreme and are fully supported by the state; in Totalitarianism the state reigns supreme and is also the economic structure that distributes wealth. But given the example of communist China in the 21st century, even these economic differences are a bit murky.

Nevertheless, what we can say is this: Both Fascism and Totalitarianism are opposed to democracy and democratic processes (see Naomi Wolf’s THE END OF AMERICA on You-Tube).

Clerks See Fraudulent, Duplicate Forms From Group.

Several municipal clerks across the state are reporting fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications, most of them from a nationwide community activist group working to help low- and moderate-income families.

The majority of the problem applications are coming from the group ACORN, Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which has a large voter registration program among its many social service programs.

ACORN’s Michigan branch, based in Detroit, has enrolled 200,000 voters statewide in recent months, mostly with the use of paid, part-time employees.

“There appears to be a sizeable number of duplicate and fraudulent applications,” said Kelly Chesney, spokeswoman for the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. “And it appears to be widespread.”

Chesney said her office has had discussions with ACORN officials after local clerks reported the questionable applications to the state. Chesney said some of the applications are duplicates and some appear to be names that have been made up. The Secretary of State’s Office has turned over several of the applications to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office on Friday declined to confirm whether an investigation was taking place.

In recent years, ACORN’s voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Missouri and Washington, with some employees convicted of voter fraud.

ACORN officials said they were looking into the problem.
“We’ll do an investigation to see what’s happening,” said David Lagstein, a spokesman for the Detroit office. “If it’s really as many as that, it warrants further investigation.”

In Pontiac, where several thousand applications have been submitted by ACORN in the last few weeks for the November election, the clerk’s office is finding that numerous applications are sometimes filed under one name.

“What it causes is a slowdown of our operations,” said Pontiac City Clerk Yvette Talley. “They’re steadily coming in, and we are finding a huge number of duplications.”

Talley said she could not provide an exact number.

Clerks are required to check their records against a statewide database of all registered voters within their jurisdiction, so it would be unlikely that duplications would allow voters to cast their votes more than once, Talley said.

“We catch them all, but it’s taking up a lot of our time,” she said.

In Oak Park, clerk Sandra Gadd said they have been seeing “lots of duplication” from ACORN in recent months but were reassured by ACORN officials that the group was working to correct the problem.

ACORN is the nation’s largest community organization for low- and moderate-income families. Created more than 30 years ago, it has branches in 100 cities and claims 350,000 families as members. It works to help create affordable housing and health care, and to improve job conditions and neighborhood schools.

Lagstein said ACORN’s Detroit office has hired dozens of employees for the voter registration program and that any problems likely stem from sloppiness or incompetence — not an intent to let people vote more than once.

“We’re proud of our efforts to increase voter registration, and we have aggressive training for our staff to make sure the cards are filled out appropriately,” he said.

“We certainly do our best to keep the duplications as low as possible, so we’ll have to evaluate what’s happening here,” he said.

    • Bellevue_NW_Voter

Here’s some “fun with voter registration”.

A few years ago, I moved from one area of King County in Washington State to another area of King County. FYI, this is one of the specific areas in which ACORN had its “problems”.

While wandering around a festival, a young person registering voters asked me if I was registered. I said yes, but that I’d moved, and I asked if re-registering through them would properly “move” my registration from one district to another.

They said yes, so I did.

A couple years ago, I needed to check my precinct information online before I voted, so I went to the county’s web site and looked up my name.

      Imagine my surprise when…

IT APPEARED TWICE, with a slight variation. I sometimes place a ” ” after the Mc in my name, and sometimes not. There was one of each.

I appeared once, under my old address, and once, under my new one.

I called the elections board and corrected it immediately, but had to guess it had been like that for a couple years. To this day, I have no idea if the voter-registration person wandering around the festival was correct in saying that re-registering would move my registration (there was no spot on the form to indicate prior address), and I wonder how many others were told the same thing.

Maybe names (beginning with Mc, Mac, O’, Del, Di, D’, etc.) where there is “plausible deniability” of misregistration should be watched especially closely?

  • I daresay this site’s provided a lot more real data points on the issues during the past year than the kool-aid drinking alternatives in the leftosphere.

But while we’re talking about the issues, why not actually talk about the issues? Obama’s had links to Marxists for some time, and like all his other questionable associatoins he’ll take what he can get until a light is shined on it, then he’ll throw them under the bus. But they do have reason to support him still – the 57-page platform he’s put forward is essentially a huge social-democrat bureaucracy. He’s thrown the Clinton/Gore model of small-government progressivism under the bus, and the left wing loves him for it.

Obama’s campaign is doomed, and rightly so. The center elects Presidents, not Marxist nutjobs. Full confession: I was once a DSA member (signed up at a Billy Bragg concert in the 80’s) but I grew the hell up and realized that if government’s the only game in town it’s worse for everyone. People (who aren’t lazy) get things done with freedom and initiative, not with a government manual and a list of regulation. Maybe some of you noob’s in the leftosphere will grow up too after Obama gets his ass handed to him – not by McCain/Palin, but by all of us who are pragmatic American moderates unimpressed by his eminent arrogance.

None of these young ones have a mind of their own..they could easily be led over the cliff..I am sorry to say..I have no doubt of that.

Unlike you Dumby we have seen the light and realize that the new democrats represent a Marxist totalitarian theology that has been financed by internationalist’s such as George Soro’s who want to end Americanism as we know it.
The moderate Clinton wing of the democrat party has been deposed and now all we see are the left wing fringe elements which wishes America’s defeat and retreat in the world.

    • NoBamaNoWay

you hit the nail on the head. the dem party has taken a seriously wrong turn, and those of us in the middle will have to decide which way we’re going to turn.

    • wodiej

and Hillary is helping him…I can’t condone that. As smart as Hillary and Bill are, I cannot believe they don’t know about his dangerous connections and endorsements. This is unfathomable.

      • csuzeq

Keep in mins she may just be campaigning for herself in case Barky is ineligible, indicted or killed. That may sound awful, but if I were Hillary, I would stay visible and for my party as long as there was any possibility of BO implding completely! If she just sat at home and then needed to get called up, she just might not get the call or might not pull of a last minute victory!

    • hank48188

People need to know more about George Soros and his partner in crime, Ziggy Brzezinski. Both ARE NOT FROM THIS COUNTRY, but they want to run this country because they know better than you. Soros is the money-Man for the DEMS and pays the bills at MoveOn and other blogs. These people are Internationalists and Obama is PROUD TO BE A INTERNATIONALIST as well. Obama is a person that spent his formative years living in Indonesia, absorbing the culture and practices of that country. He was raised a Muslin. None of these people are concered about AMERICA, they are all “Citizens of the World” The DEMOCRATIC PARTY has been sold to these people, I’ll be voting STRAIGHT REPUBLICAN

      • NomNomNom

Soros also has supported McCain since 2001 through his “Reform” Institute.
McCain and Obama are 2 sides of the same debased coin.

      • Maverick

Soros was hired by the Nazi’s at age 14. His duties were to help seize assets of others. He is well trained by the Nazi’s and that’s all he knows.

Straight Republican votes for me all the way down and I’m still a Dem..darn it.

Pray that Obama doesn’t succeed in stealing this election. That’s why every vote counts.

  • tampagurl

And just what do you mean by that “Tumby”?

    • audacity

r u sure is not Dumby?!

  • John Smith

Lehman says it will file for bankruptcy

Maybe that is why the Democratic congress did not do anything to avert this disaster when they took office. They want the US to fall into a major recession. Thinking that they can implement all their plans. One thing nobody talks about is that the Clinton implemented many of the changes with a centrist view and by working with the Republicans. So having some one right side of the center working with the Democrats would do just as well. An other reason to vote for McCain.

    • tek

John Smith: what you said is my considered opinion. I now firmly believe that the Democrats are trying to pull some kind of coup and they refused to rein Bush in because they believed that by the end of his term he would have damaged the country so badly that Americans would vote Democratic no matter who they placed on the ticket. Selfish, stupid people. If they really cared about this country they would have allowed the people to choose Hillary and had 16 years of Democratic control of the WH. But it’s more important to Dick Durbin and his bunch to grab unbalanced power for themselves and let the American people flounder while they rake in billions. I can’t stand Obama and the men behind him.

Y’all go to wecansolveit.org (I thought it was we can do it, it’s actually we can solve it).

    • Kal

Oh goodie. The socialist revolution is beginning — with those who need it the most, the financial organizations!

  • Tumby J

Seeing the pro-Hillary and pro-Palin banners in the same column on the front page tells me all I need to know about how much this site cares about issues.

    • John Smith

I guess it is hard for you to imagine anybody might put the Country before party.

      • tampagurl

Maybe he didn’t scroll down far enough to see Obama’s ugly face.

        • Barack has been around a number of Communist and Communist-sympathizers his entire life, staring with (apparently) his mother and continuing on through Frank Marshall Davis and others.

          Repost from last thread:

Here are links to view the entire CNN documentary “Sarah Palin Revealed.”

I have not watched this program yet, but based on the reaction from the O-bots, it seems the show was pretty good and fair to Sarah.

          Part 1

          Part 2

          Part 3

          Part 4

          Part 5

          Part 6

          • Judy L. NC

Thank you, Paul. That stuff is always on past my bedtime.

          • I watched the MSNBC bio of Sarah, and it was surprisingly fair, except that they perpetuated the false rumor that Palin wants to teach Creationism in schools.

MSNBC at least qualified somewhat it by saying that Palin has not pushed creation or any other religious agenda in her public life.

          • SportPolitics

The end of clip one is great – Sarah sank (playing with an ankle fracture no less)the cinch/winning b-ball freethrow with 4 seconds left and they won, it put Wasilla on the map in some ways.

Obama’s white grandparents moved to Mercer Island, Washington from the mainland because the schools had many commies teaching there. Communism was very trendy in that era, late 50’s early 60’s, sort of like coke in the 80’s

            • SportPolitics

And Barry’s mommie was a commie and an atheist one at that.
Consult a memoir for the carefully worded cover-up concerning mommie’s commie core-bleeds through the pages anyway – you know, they have to signal eachother.

He did, just too embarrassed to admit it.

Who’s more believable? A candidate that votes FOR pay equity, but pays his women staffers lower salaries than men staffers – and steps over 18M women on his way to the Top.

Or – the candidate that votes AGAINST pay equity but pays the same salaries to women and men staffers – AND chose a woman to be VP which WILL open the door to discussions of many women’s issues.

The CORPORATE sponsored media was very harsh with Hillary while letting Obama skate for 18 months. Now they’re disrespecting another woman candidate!

A woman in the White House would be quite a threat to corporations! because her very existence there would incite discussions about pay equity.

      • FWIW – not all 18 million who voted for Hillary were women!

Some of us were men who get it.

        • tek

Kudos to the men who supported Hillary and see through Oblahma.

          • HRC’s broad coalition is the base of the Party, consisting of all people across the racial/ethnic and gender spectrums, all classes, but especially the middle-class, the blue-collar and poor working classes.

      • NoBamaNoWay

i agree that the democrats are nothing but talk, and most of that talk is laced with profanity and the B-word. jeezus christ, talk about being between a rock and a hard place in choosing a candidate. at least mccain has walked the walk, of late, so i think it’s time to give him a try.

      • jbjd

Senator McCain did not vote against pay equity; he voted against what is commonly referred to as the Ledbetter Law, which would extend the statute of limitations for filing suit against an employer who violated the Equal Pay Act.

      • Kal

Correction: Steps ON over 18 million on his way…. And they aren’t all women.

    • Patrick

What you need to know is we see through your false prophet.

      Take care,

    • Seeing the pro-Hillary and pro-Palin banners in the same column on the front page tells me all I need to know about how much this site cares about issues.

Women being treated like dogshit by a bunch of losers IS an issue. And you will soon learn that.

    • tek

Marxism clearly explains the rise of Barack Obama. Marxists believe that people don’t need any particular qualifications to perform any job. That’s why they’re okay with having an inexperience black man running for the most powerful position in the world.

I just this minute heard on NPR that John McCain’s campaign brought in record donations this month.

I hope there are enough rational people in this country who haven’t drunk the Kool-Aid to keep Obama out of office. I wonder if there will be honest poll watchers placed at the polling places on election day. We are voting by mail and I’m afraid our votes will never see the light of day.

      • Liz B

Are you honest? I am, so if you want to make sure there are honest people working the polls on election day, volunteer to work the polls. It is only one day that occurs every four years, tell your employer they got that extra day out of you already, Feb. 29th. I have always made a committment to work the polls and it really makes you feel fully engaged with the process. This year, it is really going to be important to have the polls properly monitered.

        • QUEENIE

I worked as a poll watcher in my state in 2004..( I won’t be home this election day or I would do so again) I worked early vote for 2 weeks and the general in 2004.. I have volunteered to do it numerous times..it is to protect voters and make sure those who want to vote can vote..

It is the most rewarding think one can do to protect Democracy.

If you have the time.please do it..If you have early vote and you work all week ..you can do it on Saturday.

Citizens appreciate you there..they feel safe voting with you there..they know you are their advocate and that makes them feel good..there are no down sides to doing it!!..In fact I would tell you , my life was enriched by so many people that got to vote..disabled , seniors and just plain folks who might not have been able to vote if I hadn’t been there.

It sticks in my mind a beautiful lady who had MS and was in a wheelchair almost laying down, she had MS so bad..and I was blessed with being able to help her vote..it was so important to her…She couldn’t talk..only could make sounds..but she had used her computer at home to write out who she wanted to vote for..

I will never forget her.,.she touched my heart so. And she taught me ..no matter who we are ..we have the right to vote and it is our obligation to vote. The effort that lady had to go through to vote would be a great lesson for all able bodied.

I also met a lady 104 years old..who was dressed so sharp..and was just so dang lovely..she also still has a special place in my heart..she remembered not being able to vote in her lifetime. She told me she rarely gets dressed up, but voting day she said was the most important day to her…so she was dressed up beautiful..

Like I said..Being a poll watcher could very well enrich your life..it did mine!!
I also worked as a watcher and one of the poll workers was 99 years young..she had done it for 35 years! She was very special as well..

Do it..it could be your neighbors vote you protect , or even your own one day!

          • Liz B

Volunteerism starts with us. All of us. I even bring my kids. I want them to grow up involved in politics, and I don’t want them to discover it by accident in College where a Professor may have more influence on their political vision than their parents had.

      • Steven Mather

Please reference where Karl Marx states that experience does not factor into one’s ability to do the job.

Marx is consistently attacked for things he neither said nor did. In fact, after being shown books and papers written by people who claimed to be following his work, he said, “If this is Marxism, I am not a Marxist!”

Marx, Smith, Ricardo, Keynes, and Hayek should be critiqued for where their theories falter, much like the presidential candidates should be evaluated on their records or lack thereof.

      • QUEENIE

Please , if you can hand deliver your mail in vote and make sure yu see it registered as accepted..i make them show me that it is recorded.

We have seen in Fla.. absentee ballots dissapear by the box loads and train loads..hand deliver it if you can!!

      • Perry Logan

If Obama were a Marxist, the corporate media wouldn’t be drooling all over him. I think he’s a bloody neocon.

        • QUEENIE

to Perry Logan..i could not agree with you more..I believe Obama is run by the shadow government ..and is a serious neo con..with Cheney and his ilk behind the curtain!

        • Maverick

I think he is a new breed of neo-con marxist communist all rolled into one. This story needs to get out into the mainstream so voters can get the truth.

        • Perry—You are so right! Obama is a right-wing Trojan horse who is deeply entrenched in Wall Street and corporate interests —just as GWB and his neo-cons were. Obama is NOT a communist; he’s a FASCIST neo-con who has cleverly co-opted the discourse of the Left to appeal to the mood of the country, which has swung left after the wake of GWB’s neo-con regime.

Again, OBAMA IS A FASCIST, which makes even more sense when you consider the kind of campaign he’s run—a “symbolic” and messianic campaign which is grounded in worshiping masses and in a civilian army (Brown Shirts) which will act on behalf of their cult leader.

Obama can’t be a communist if he has Goolsby (from U of Chigago) as an economic advisor! His/Obama’s economic plan will be one of austerity, whereby interest rates will sky rocket as they did in the 1970s under Pres Carter. These interest rates are meant to help Wall Street recuperate current losses, which are now reaching disasterous proportions.

Also, one of Obama’s prime international affairs advisors, Bzerzinski, hates communists countries (current or former)—but especially Russia, which he would like to see dismantled once and for all. Who is Brzezinski? He was responsible for Pres Carter’s foreign policy, which included (among other things) the creation/support of the religious fanantic group the Taliban in Afghanistan for the sheer purpose of fighting against communist (i.e. God-less) USSR. This protacted fight was meant to be the USSR’s Viet Nam.

Furthermore, Brzezinski and billionaire Soros are also behind the many Colors Revolutions in Eastern Europe and in Africa (e.g. Georgia and in Kenya), which are also aimed at weakening Russia further. Their plan includes pitting Iran and China against Russia. (see Tarpley’s OBAMA: THE POSTMODERN COUP)

The Fla vets will not vote for Barky..no way no how..and remember this ..Fla has one of the largest blocks of vets in the nation.

We have the stock market ready to crash..do not think the Older part of our society ( seniors) do not realize the dems are in charge and did nothing to keep their retirement $$$’s safe!

Oh and i will remind you.. they all vote.

…and ..they understand the market, they understand medical bills and medicare, they understand retirement and social security..they will not be fooled by the ignut college obamabots..or by Obama himself who is arrogant and has bad “friends”..they will vote to protect this country and their money..

They know the Dem congress has done nothing to protect our financial future..they know damn well who is in charge ..of both houses of congress.

Remember ..many lived through the depression..and are still alive and retired in Fla..they get it..they know these idiots running around the country for Obama and the college obamabots do not.

They damn well know Barky has sent 400 of his little “fellows” -his brownshirts to Florida, after stealing these folks votes..hell Barky has to pay people this campaign cycle to do the phone calling..in 2004 it was all volunteers..who is kidding who here???????

The grown ups in Fla will all be voting..they take it all very seriously..remember many fought for that vote..and they aren’t armchair computer soldiers..they didn’t just do battle in a college or university..and get checks from Soros or Barky..most worked hard for a lifetime..in real jobs..they worked for their retirement.

They will never vote for Obama.

    • nancysabet

It seems to me that You never get it!
