There is less than three months between election day and inauguration day, and even under the best scenario, it would have been impossible for the Bush Justice department to fully prosecute these MF'ers through to sentencing. Most of the prosecution of the case took place with the Obama Justice dept. as a matter of course as pending cases are routinely passed between outgoing and incoming administrations. The case was never dropped by the Bush  DOJ, it was continued under the Obama DOJ, and it was WON.
