At Long Last, Intimidation Of Hillary Voters Coming To Light

It is amazing what comes out from under the rug once it has been pulled back. Recently, DOJ attorney, J. Christian Adams exposed the DOJ’s dismissal of blatant voter intimidation by the New Black Panther Party. It has been a staggering expose of what is going on inside the Justice Department, especially in terms of voter intimidation and the lackadaisical approach the DOJ is taking to protect our right to vote free of fear or threat of intimidation. The short answer is, they are not, certainly in terms of the New Black Panther Party.

My favorite part of the dismissal against the NBPP in Philadelphia? The guy carrying the nightstick outside a Philly polling place has been banned from carrying “deadly” weapons near polling places. Until 2012. You read that right. He can’t carry deadly weapons around a polling place in 2010, but he can when it’s time for Obama to run again. WHAT a surprise.

The Obama Justice Department has become the “Get Out of Jail Free” Department for the New Black Panther Party.

But another piece of dirt coming out from under this rug of DOJ whistle blowing is something about which a number of us knew for some time. The threats of intimidation and violence toward Hillary Clinton supporters during the 2008 Primaries. The constant refrain that Obama ran a better campaign than Clinton is absurd, unless you think threatening people, lying, and cheating is “running a better campaign.” Personally, I do not, especially from the party to which I gave my loyalty for decades. I dunno, I kinda have a thing against liars, cheats, and thugs – maybe it comes from my vocation. Ahem.

At long, long, last, some in the media are finally paying attention. The documentary filmmaker, Gigi Gaston, was on Fox and Friends recently, speaking out about the corruption associated with the 2008 Democratic Primaries. Her film, “We Will Not Be Silenced 2008″ is a critical piece of history regarding how Obama and the DNC colluded against Hillary Clinton and the 18 million of us who voted for her. Below is Ms. Gaston speaking out about what she found:

I was like Gaston, too. A lifelong Democrat, who believed in the Party and for what it stood. I believed that we really did care about one person, one vote, that we cared about the will of the people. I could not have been more wrong, which I now acknowledge, though it was a painful – check that – excruciatingly painful realization.

The worst part was seeing the level of organization behind Obama’s cheating and voter intimidation. And yes, it most definitely came from the top. There is no way on this green earth that what happened in Texas COULD happen without an organized, concerted effort. Others in states like Washington also spoke of the caucus fraud that occurred there, the busloads of people from out of state coming in to vote. There is zero way this could have happened without Obama’s knowledge or acquiescence. No way. That speaks volumes about him, though not news to many of us, I am sure.

And it speaks volumes about the DNC, which received plenty of evidence that this was going on. The Hillary Clinton Campaign also notified the DNC of irregularities occurring to benefit Obama. And what did the DNC do about it? Absolutely nothing. Well, actually, they did do something – they violated the will of the people, acted in the most unethical, immoral way, dismissing the votes of Americans, and stole votes from Clinton to give to Obama.

Many of you know I have recommended Ms. Gaston’s documentary before. It is staggering, maddening, and downright heartbreaking. I recommend this video to you again. It is well worth watching, so that we will be aware, forewarned is forearmed, and clearly, with this president, with this “Justice Department,” prepared is what we must be.

To get you started, here is Part 1:

One last thing: if you or someone you know, experienced caucus fraud during the 2008 Primary, please, please let the good folks at “We Will Not Be Silenced 2008” know about it. They are still working to get this information out there, to expose the massive level of fraud perpetrated to get Barack Obama into the White House.

How have we come to this place in this country so fast?

  • arabella trefoil

Sexism had a lot to do with it.

  • Clara

I have friends in Texas who experienced the caucus disaster first hand.  As precinct captains they were targeted and treated very badly.  Each of them spoke to GiGi or someone in her organization.  I haven’t seen the video yet but they’re supposed to be in the documentary.

  • Clara

Yes, Dr. Linda Hayes is the first person featured.  The last man featured is Kevin, one of the Hillbuzz team from Chicago.

Great article, Amy.  you know, the very sad thing about America today is a lot of younger people do believe that intimidation, violence and corruption is a brilliant way to run a campaign.  How else could Obama’s campaign be called great?  Also, people don’t realize Obama got double votes in AA districts or “exceptionally loyal” districts and the DNC GAVE him a bunch of Hillary’s delegates.  Brilliant, no?

  • My Site (click to edit)

Oh, and I just read Obama’s poll numbers are at a new low! ( :)

  • Khan Krum

The only way anything will ever come of this is if Hillary makes something of it herself.  And we all know that a vow of silence was part of the deal she struck with Oilbama…

  • oowawa

If the documentary is widely viewed and seeps into the national conscience (I know, that’s a big IF), “something” will come of it regardless of Hillary.  We are taught from elementary school that voting is a big deal and it’s a fair process.  Intimidation at the polling place is not something that Americans are willing to accept.  If we ever acquiesce to accepting such flagrant voter intimidation, we are simply doomed and the discussion, all discussion, is over.

  • PssttCmere

obamadinejad and his thugs are a complete disgrace!!  And it displeases me that Hillary would ever strike a bargain with these destroyers of America.  Still, she would be the better leader for our wounded nation.

AND now, the NAACP is stirring up controversy….calling out the Tea Party as racist!  WTH????  All this comes about after being addressed by Michevil.  Guess they are trying to solidify the black vote, but what about blacks who aren’t drinking the Kool-Aid?

RRR Amy–THANK YOU for this post! I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched what was happening in 2008. Donna Brazille and Dr Dean were big reasons this never got investigated, along with Ted Kennedy and many others in the Senate.

I remember in Iowa they bused people in from Illinois to caucus and it was all downhill from there. Remember the intimidation of union workers in Nevada? It was amazing they still voted for Hillary. And it all culminated with Hillary being denied a roll call vote at the convention–something they allowed when candidates like Ted Kennedy had a fraction of the delegates that Hillary had.

This election changed me forever. I will NEVER feel the same way about politics, the Dem party or government again. Glad to know I’m not alone — I will NEVER support BO and his Chicago machine or the powerful Dems who decided he should beat Hillary.

And in the new poll 1/3 of all Democrats don’t approve of Obama.

  • My Site (click to edit)

I don’t think we should keep up a negative thread against Hillary.  She really is the last best hope for this country.

  • oowawa

Thank you very much, Rev. Amy, for posting this article.  It is essential.  It used to be about Hillary’s candidacy, but it isn’t about her anymore.  It’s about thugs corrupting our voting system.  And a politician willing to promote himself by adopting the policy of voter intimidation is now President of the United States.  Unbelievable.  An untouchable weenie supported by idolators and thugs . . .

  • No Longer an American

She WAS the last hope of the country.  But she turned it in to be the lab whore for the one.

  • donjo

All this stuff has been known for the past 2 years and the DNC damned well knew about it.  The question that shoud be asked is, “WHY wasn’t something done about this back then?  As a result, we’ve got this bumblefuck in the WH.  Don’t know what kind of deal they struck with Hillary, but she promised to take it to the convention and never kept her word.  That disappoints.  IF she had, she would be president right now.

  • kenoshamarge

I have to laugh every time I hear someone spouting off about us being a “nation of laws”. What bunk! Voter intimidation is against the law. Illegal immigration is against the law. Forcing people to buy insurance if they don’t want to buy insurance is against our rights under the constitution. Corporations and lobbyist “buying” congresscritters and Senators is against the law.

A law is meaningless if it isn’t enforced.

As for the DOJ, how about calling the DOJ what it is, the Department of Justice for whichever party is in power? Politics and “Justice” don’t mix well.

Actually politics doesn’t mix well with anything if it’s corrupt politics. And people that will accept that corruption as long as it’s “their” side doing it are traitors to everything this country ever stood for or hopes to stand for.

Add in a biased and corrupt media and you have a nation on it’s way down. A nation with such principals, injustice and corruption cannot stand. We are a huge country with a huge economy and population so our fall will take a very long time. But if this bullshit isn’t corrected, if our people don’t start to care, it’s inevitable.

Sorry, but this crap makes me crazy. Stepping down now.

  • lorac CheezIts

Also, as someone on another site put it, people voted for MLK, and got Malcolm X.  I’d say the Malcolm X “by any means necessary” approach also has a lot to do with what happened to Hillary.

  • Diana L. C.

Someday I really want Hillary to write a book about this, and sooner the better.  She has said she will not be SOS after 2012.  I hope it’s before and that she gets her book out before the 2012 election.  Anyway, that’s my fantasy, and I’m sticking with it.

On another note, did any have the stomach to watch KO last night?  My sig other says he made it clear that it was absolutely the Bush administration that is at fault for the Black Panthers getting that deal at the DOJ.   I should say that it wasn’t clear to my sig other; he wasn’t buying it, but KO was convinced.  Well, I don’t know about you, but would KO be wrong.   :-P

  • Peggy Sue

I agree, arabella.  Sexism had a lot to do with it and a press corp that marched in lockstep, shunning its responsibility to the public.  Lots of blame to go around, not the least of which was an electorate blinded by the faux-light.

As for the Black Panthers’ case?  Anyone who managed to catch the series of interviews Shabazz did recently [the last one I caught was Geraldo's show] should be struck by the pure venom of its leader. And we all saw the thug with the billy-club, the images fron Philly. The Administration should be ashamed, very ashamed that the political trumps all else, whether involving this case or the immigration fiasco, whatever.

But I don’t think shame is even on the radar.  This is all about power and maintaining the political edge.  Whatever the cost. We’ve seen this before and it ain’t pretty.

I read that the Tea Party has drafted a preemptive resolution in which they state what they stand for (limited gov, etc), and that their goals are what black people need to excel.  They also condemn the NAACP for turning into a bigoted, racist group instead of helping their people, and they cite the dismal stats of blacks in the cities over the last so many years.  They turn it around on the NAACP.

  • Peggy Sue

“Don’t know what kind of deal they struck with Hillary . . . ”

That’s right.  We don’t know if a deal was struck, and if there was, what might have been in that deal.  At this point, we’ll just be at each other’s throats with various conflicting conjectures.  To me the important thing about the documentary is that it exposes the corruption of the process and the willingness of Thee One & His Toadies to bring about that corruption.  It’s not about Hillary–it’s about Obama’s tactics . . .

  • Deapthrowt

Sexism had a huge amount to do with it. Hard to know what turned me off the most in the last election: Obama himself or his viciously misogynist supporters who wasted no time dominating every political blog with violent sexist slurs against Hillary first, and then later Sarah Palin.

Violent, vicious sexist slurs. And nary a hint of protest from the Obama camp. That led me to finally shedding my Democratic Party affiliation. And this blatent Democratic anti-feminism is what is fueling victories for both Meg Whitman and Carly Fiorina in California.

  • AbigailAdams

This is a story that got sat on by Fox News for a long time.  I didn’t check any other ”news” orgs to see if it was covered by them, but my guess is it wasn’t.  Why now?  Because it’s time for the Repubs to marshall for the mid-terms.  And I think one other reason is Fox is not going to fight the Dem’s internal issue — of voter fraud.  Anything that keeps the Dems fractured and chaotic will serve the Repubs.  If this story had been aired and sorted-out, blame assigned and names, named back in ’08 or ’09, HRC would probably have been the nominee, thus president.  And since the Dems were going to win in any event, the Repubs had their best chance of reclaiming the WH in 2012 against barry than HRC.

It wasn’t until after the Democratic primaries that Fox started going after barry.  Up ’til then they were as anti-HRC as the other msm.  Sean Hannity’s Hillary bashing is legend.  And it was the most juvenile.  The fact that he hates her more than her platform was evident.

It will be interesting to see how Fox handles this.  I imagine they will exploit it in a way that reaps what they need for the Repubs, but soft-peddles anything that benefits former Democratic voters.  I’m sure it will be more partisan political theater before it is framed as something that is just bad for all American voters.

I do hope I’m wrong and that Fox has learned its lesson from the Bush years, but given the timing of this “explosive news” that they knew about from the get-go, I’m not holding my breath.  We should all be paying very close attention to how they handle this and vote with our remote if it looks like they are exploiting news rather than fighting the good fight on behalf of Americans.

    DLCtHNTC  :)

Yesterday Megan Kelly had a timeline up of Obama’s lead attorney (a black woman, says no one was closer to BO than she was at Harvard, last name Butts I think) meeting with the DOJ in relation to events in the case, for example, each time DOJ lawyers stated the case had merit, she met with the DOJ, and they stood down.

I guess Bush told her to do it, maybe that’s what KO means lol

  • lorac CheezIts

Oh, wow, this would be a GREAT time for Ani’s book to come out.  Is she almost done?

  • oowawa

How about this formulation: “America is supposed to be a nation of laws, and those laws are supposed to be enforced!”

  • lorac CheezIts

I remember hearing that the LA Times had a video of Obama meeting with some really unsavory people, but they sat on it.  They’ve started to write some negative (truthful) articles about him now, I believe.  I wonder if they’ll consider releasing the video now…

  • Diana L. C., the Hazelnut Nut Thin Cracker

OH!  and regarding this first installment of the We Will Not Be Silenced video, as I watch it once again with my stomach turning and my blood pressure rising, I realize what a great party chair person we had in our county.  People often think of her as pushy, but she was very pushy the right way.  All of us who would be in charge of precinct voting had to attend a long session on how the rules worked and how we were to make sure that caucus voting happened according to rules.

Then after the night of the precinct caucuses, she spent the entire night going over the voting tally sheets that were turned in from each precinct vote to make sure they were right because that night was extremely confusing to many.  (We in CO had not had caucuses for a presidential primary for a long time.)

Later at the county assembly and convention, she announced that she had turned in over 200 names to the authorities for people who voted but were ineligible to vote.  Her doing that made the county vote far more even–in fact perfectly even in my county.

But ours is the “most Democratic” county in our state, and she had been chairman for a long time and knew the rules and made sure they were followed.  I know I heard from other that the precinct caucus voting in many other parts of the state were done in complete chaos.

  • lorac CheezIts

…. in more ways than one?  lol

  • lorac CheezIts

… and it’s also about the will of the people being silenced…

  • AbigailAdams

PssttCmere:  Just saw the NAACP headline in the Seattle Times this morning.  More political theater.  And the accompanying picture of mo addressing the NAACP yesterday at their convention.

Here’s the money quote from the article written by Kathllen Hennessey and Michael Mimoli (Tribune Washington Bureau):

“The NAACP’s move comes as the group and other parts of the Democratic base are seeking to reactivate voters who mobilized to elect Obama.  The group announced an Oct. 2 rally in Washington as an answer of sorts to the tea-party protests.  The “One Nation” campaign also would involve a coalition of labor groups.”

Well, my, my, my.  A couple of things come to mind:  1) Get ready for round two of “Fired Up! Ready to Roll!”  and 2) The members of One Nation will be bankrolled by the same people who brought us “Yes We Can!”.   One Nation does not understand that the Tea Party is an organic entity, one whose ranks are filled with real patriots, not paid protesters.  Try to beat that with a stick.

arabella i used to think that was it. now i see the leftist agenda i am thinking that is more of a side issue. certainly they used it as a political tool and it was and is a large part of it.

but the left swing we are see and obama’s real nature says a lot to me.

  • Onofre’s arm

Nah, they voted for Morgan Freeman, and got Erkel.

  • Peggy Sue

Spot on, Abagail!  We should no longer take anything at face value just because it serves the mood at the moment.  Question everything.  The days of blind acceptance should be over, for good.  If not, we’re merely signing our own death warrent.

diana, first hillary has to find herself and get the hell out of the obama administration. i would be delighted to see that happen. i would also like bill to stop playing both sides and GET ON OUR SIDE.

I like Morgan Freeman. But if I had my choice Samuel L. Jackson would be the first black President. I would like to see Ahmadinejad back talk him. Or I would like to see the Saudi guys try to make him bow. A guy doesn’t have to be white to be a John Wayne… they just need to be American. Obama just doesn’t have it. :)

  • Onofre’s arm

HEY! We’re still a nation of laws………………..a lot of broken laws………………..but laws nonetheless.

  • Docelder

I think it is more base then that. Obama has “the card”. The people who selected him are now expecting him to play it, and then play it again. It was more about the agenda than anything else. Hillary just wasn’t as plastic as the plastic messiah is. They needed that plasticity and they needed that “victim” card. This is why he is “the one”.

  • Rosa

its funny much of fox is as predicable as obama in where they stand according to what they need for the moment…although I do like Megan Kelly and couple others

At the end of the interview with Gigi, the talking head says:  “We’ll be talking to others who are part of this film next week.”  Next week???  Okay, there’s our first clue that this is being “played out” over the course of several weeks leading up to November.  If this was considered “news” and not Republican theater, it would get wall-to-wall coverage immediately.

Thank you Amy, although those videos reopen old wounds. I was also a life-long democrat, but I have severed all ties to the party and burned that bridge behind me!
The logical political pathway for Secretary Clinton’s presidency is as Obama’s VP in 2012, setting up her run in 2016.
There is no marinade on earth that will make eating that crow palatable to me!
Following the election, Larry invited republicans to continue to participate on his site. That may change in the future…time will tell.

    Nope. I’m for Morgan Freeman.
He went back to his roots in Mississippi to live even though he is a big star.
When interviewed he says he is not interested in any discussion of racism. It doesn’t interest him.
Include Jame Earl Jones – another favorite of mine who said that if he experienced any racism in his career he didn’t bother noticing it and just moved forward.
    I love them both.

Sassy, I don’t have an inside track anymore than the next person, but I don’t believe for a second that Hillary would run as his VP.  For one thing, I am certain she could have done that in ’08 if she had wanted to.  And why would she want a do-nothing job, having photo ops eating ice cream like Biden?  I think that #1, she wants to serve the country, and #2, would prefer to do it as president, and #3, she knows what Obama is.  As SOS, she is an arm of the adminstration, but as VP, she would be totally in the thick of the administration, and I don’t think she wants to be that close to him and what he does.

  • EllenD

Judging from some sites, there appears to be a timeline where the case became a civil case and at that time it was in the Obama administration’s court.

  • EllenD

Yes, Abigail. We should remember it was to the Republicans’ advantage to have Obama over Clinton, just as Bush/Cheney was a gift to the Democrats.

It may even have been to the Republican Party’s advantage to have Obama over McCain. They sure acted that way.

Another circumstance, another approach (as in M O trying to get up a race war), we must be ready for anything.  To do that we must be thoroughly in touch with our own principles and stand up for them no matter where the challenge comes from.   I am so proud of those with in my own party who fought and continue to fight these thugs.    On another site someone referred to an element of the republican party as re-thugs, I would like to add a name for a certain element of the democratic party de-thugs.  Goddess take them all and give em a swirly as she disposes of them.

Amy — thank you so much for this article and for promoting the issue’s continued coverage. This is still an important issue even though it discusses events of 2008. We have to believe that although we can’t undo the election of 2008, we can fight to assure it never happens again.

I am doing a personal happy dance today because of Ms. Gaston’s persistence, my godmother’s determination and my own orneriness.  After seeing Fox’s coverage on Sunday, I visited several web sites to express my still very considerable anger over what had happened to my godmother in Texas in 2008′s primary.

For those who haven’t read my rant before, here’s the condensed version:
My godmother, Ethel, was 82 years old in 2008. She is 5 feet tall and about 100 lbs. soaking wet, but she was a Hillary supporter who intended to caucus for her candidate. After standing in a line in the cold foe an hour, she entered the meeting place only to be met a button-wearing Obama supporter who lied to her and told her she was in the wrong building. After she left she was laughed at by other Obama supporters who told her there was no other building for caucusing. She wanted to report it to the DNC and the state, but no one ever got back to her.

The reason I’m so happy is that the makers of the video saw my post and emailed me to ask if Ethel would like to tell her story to them. I contacted Ethel, she agreed and now, hopefully at 85 Ethel will finally get to tell the nation what happened to her. My godmother has a tale to tell and a keen memory.

What do they think about all those white people that were the founders of NAACP. Dubois actually came later. He was not an orignal founder.

  • Tricia

Great post Amy.  The intimidation was so heavy–people called me racist just for supporting Hillary.  I lost two people who I considered to be close friends–failing to fall in lock step with their views was their definition of “friend.”

  • getfitnow

I may be wrong, but I don’t think it would have made it this if not for the BP voter intimidation case.

When I woke up this morning there was a clip on the radio. I wish I got all th details. It had to be recently–House rep CA meeting with constituents. He said voter intimadation didn’t exist. Someone in the audience asked about the BP case. He said he wasn’t aware of it. I hope someone here can find that clip.

  • oowawa

How come it’s still NAACP?  Shouldn’t it be NAABP nowadays?  Or is CP an unacceptable term only for non-BP’s?  I don’t have the Zen to figure this out . . .

  • getfitnow

It as my understanding that the Bush Justice Department brought the case.

  • susiepuma

Shouldn’t that be called ‘hate speech’ – nah – what the hell he’s only talking about those bigoted white people…………….. no problems

  • susiepuma

A poster over at HillBuzz sent an email to good ole Donna Brazille point her way to the We Will Not Be Silenced vid – she stayed true to form – sending back the same old message – stop the hate – that was her response to everything – wonder if her & Karl Rove are still friends????????????????????

Also – to add to the fraud already listed above – remember how crappy Franken finally won the senate race in MN (my home) – well, seems some of the 312 votes that made him the winner were from convicted felons who – surprisingly enough – aren’t allowed to vote (they lost that privilege) – also, Hennepin County Attorney’s office said there was nobody available to discuss that issue but the Ramsey County attorney’s office is checking into the info – said there may be some issues where a felon was allowed back into the voting society but at least they are checking into in – you all do know or will now – that our Secretary of State- Ritchie – was part of George Soros’ secretary of state program – ACORN strikes again – I hate that organization almost as much as I hate the fraud – wish someone had the guts to set about dismantling the whole damm outfit…………..

I watched the segment – the ‘other’ woman was Kirsten Powers who is indeed a Dem & the segment was about the BPP & how it was dumped by the DOJ.  Watch the segment – it has been posted at Fox I believe – Kirsten Powers is just another dem talking head who follows whatever the memo said this morning……………. Megyn Kelly was pissed – I like her – strong, powerful woman – bet she was one hell of a lawyer……………………….

Tricia, just recently I lost a long-time (since we were fourteen) friend because I had the audacity to disagree with her on the supposed horrible tactics of the Republicans and the Tea Party people while Obambi just trying his best to get a really good reform of healthcare passed.  (HER INTERPRETATION)  She won’t return calls, won’t return emails, etc.  But I guess you learn who can really be friends and who can’t.  It’s a sad lesson.

I agree oowawa, but I’m just saying that as thinking voters we should be very wary about getting sucked-in to the idea that Fox has our backs.  I really like Greta’s reporting style and Beck’s ex-poh-zays, but at the bottom of it I think Fox will be as much in the tank for the Repubs as MSLSD is for barry.  And just as slavishly, despite their frequent contributors like Morris.  It just doesn’t seem possible that any so-called news org is interested in just giving us the facts.  I’ve grown so cynical about this since 2007.

  • FLDemFem

Not sure if this is what you mean by “double votes”, but just in case it isn’t… The DNC gave more delegates per capita to heavily AA districts which would naturally go to Obama. So some districts got more bang for their vote than others. All the “more bang” districts were AA majority districts. How”s that for racism??

Both of the Clinton’s picked Party over Country when very clearly their Part was very wrong.

    They had three choices -
Play along and advance their careers at the expense of the country.
Do nothing and speak up when the novelty wore off exposing the incompetence.
Speak up for principles even though it would jeopardize their standing in a party they no longer agreed with.

The Clinton’s went the first route in selling out and selling their souls in the process.

I received this email from Apostle Claver of Raging Elephants concering the move by the NAACP to pass a resolution proclaiming the Tea Party is Racist.

    John,
This is not MY dad’s NAACP!! — not the one that he formally presided over in Beaumont, Texas.  It’s a shame that his son is obligated to defy the NAACP in these days for liberty’s fight!!
We shall not compromise.  We shall not surrender. Even if it means standing against the most respected and venerable organizations within the communities of color, freedom trumps ALL allegiance.  We want FREEDOM, and we want it NOW!

  • Peggy Sue

I missed that, lorac.  It surprises me because Kirsten Powers is a regular on Fox, the dissenting point of view.  And by and large she is treated with respect.  As Juan Williams is treated on the News Hour.  Was the subject provocative?  Kelly is sharp but she can be a very tough, take-no-prisoners interviewer.

The tide of enabling may be turning along with the polls for support of Obama’s racist agenda. ABC has a story here that says in all of their coverage of Tea Party events, they found ZERO evidence of racism.

I am glad that the electoral abuses inflicted on Hillary Clinton are finally seeing the light of day.  I hope people’s eyes are opened somewhat.  On the other hand, I have this uneasy feeling that once again, Hillary is being used to go after a target–Obama and his policies.

I see two nasty schemes being played:  Obama plays to his Black base at the same time courting the Latino votes.  While those of a different agenda or motive are trying to use Obama’s bias towards his black base as a way to unite everyone else against him; not necessarily to support Hillary.  Somehow, should Hillary get a chance to run in 2012, they’ll turn the tables on her again and tar her on the basis of her being SOS in an Obama adm.  The lady just doesn’t seem to get any breaks!  Even the positive ones seem to be fleeting and illusory.  This is my lament.

NLBB, I disagree with your conclusion that the Clintons chose their career over the country.  But we will have a chance to discuss that topic more when Hillary once again runs.

One of the greatest things about this country was the peaceful transistion of power. It made this country different from places like Kenya.
Undermining the peaceful voting process is treason. People fought and died to preserve that right.
The DNC spit on everything this country stood for in 2008.

This story has to be kept alive and passed from person to person. The MSM is a day late and a dollar short  but some are finally bringing it out into the open.
One the reasons benedict backtrack wants control of the internet is to stop stories like this from being made public.

He and his hatefilled wife are doing every thing they can to promote racial unrest in this country. That must be stopped because all American lose if it is allowed to happen.

The everyday American must standup and make sure their right to vote is never again taken away.
The media will not be much help.  The DOJ will not be much help.
The people in every town and county no matter what color must make sure their vote is cast and counted.
This is OUR country and OUR decision on who we want running it.

Where was the NAACP when the people in Chicago had no heat in winter or air in summer and the money to fix these things went to benedict backtrack.

Where was the NAACP when AAs wanted to vote republican or for Hillary as is their right?

  • Suzanne Goldstein, PhD

My name is Suzanne Goldstein and I’m Jewish, I’m white and I’m a fearless progressive. Here is the news:

I was a volunteer during the elections and I worked very closely with my brothers The Black Panthers. I am proud to say that we did anything we could to put the fear of Allah in anyone who would not vote for Obama. And why? Because, we, the intellectuals of America, decided that Obama needs to win. So we did what it takes to have him win. Because we knew Obama is the greatest progressive leader on earth, and we knew that Hillary reports to her Zionist owners in Tel-Aviv. In order to start fresh, to have one day a Socialist America that is guided by Marxism and Sharia Law, we had to carry our leader King God Emperor Obama to his throne on our backs. And if that meant cracking a few skulls and breaking a few backs, so what?

I particularly remember this old black hag on a wheelchair wheezing and whining, telling us how she marched with Martin Luther King and Bob Dylan, and then she said “but I’m going to vote for Hillary!” We just accidentally released the brakes on her wheel chair and accidentally gave her a nudge, and saw her rat-tat-tat down 36 steps straight into a trash-can and then into incoming traffic. She was hit by a van and took flight like a burned turkey shooting out of a defective microwave. She landed 28 feet later, straight on her noggin! It was HILARIOUS. Hillary-ous you might say.

That’s the way it went. We’re not hiding it, we are proud of it! You think hope and change comes with no effort? You want hope and change? Well then, prepare to have drug dealers and thieves, union operatives and Black Panthers, Jews and Berkeley graduates, potheads and pedophiles – all work together. For Hope and Change!

And let me tell you, if The Jesus Barbie Palin even thinks of running for President, we will send over five hundred Black Panthers and they will shove a wooden cross so far up her twat or her poop-hole, she will limp the rest of her life, and polish the floor with her cunt-hairs.

We are Obama. We are Chicago. We are Unions. We are Power. We are Community Activists. We are Saul Alinksy. We are Professors. We are Students. We are Marx, Engels and Stalin. We are Mao and Che and Fidel. We are the Future.

I was a Hillary volunteer in California.  One day I was tasked with notifying Texas delegates about where to attend their county caucuses.  One woman I spoke with was very suspicious of me and demanded lots of information about who I was, how I got her number, what role I had in the campaign, etc.  Turns out many delegates in her county, including her, had been misinformed about the caucus time and location by people claiming to be Clinton staff/volunteers.  Had they followed their info, they would have missed the cacuses entirely.  She was convinced they were Obama people and had called back one number, pretended to be pro-Obama, and confirmed her suspicions.

The fraud, lying, cheating, stealing was real and was incredibly organized.  This president came to power by very nefarious means, and that never leads to good, as we are witnessing now.

  • Scout

I agree.  Hillary chose to serve our nation, and as mixed as I felt about her doing so under B0′s administration, ultimately I am glad that she is SOS.  At least there is one high caliber cabinet member.  Also, she is building her international reputation, which will be important when she runs again, which I hope for on a daily basis.

  • Carlaforhillary

Same thng here..I made many phone calls on behalf of Hillary to Texas.  There were so many people in Texas that did not even know about the two-step process. It was unbelievable.

My thoughts are that the Obama campaign exploited the caucas process Alinsky style, because they figured out they could.  And they did.

Hillary wasn’t going to exploit the caucas process. No else before Obama did, so she had no precedent to follow – not that she would, but at least we would have been able to maybe stop it the exploitation or respond before Texas.

The caucas was exploited by Obama in Iowa. This was their plan from the beginning.  Of course no one really wants to caucas – it is a pain in the butt – they are late in the day, what if you don’t have transportation, etc…kids…etc..job..etc..they are unfair and outdated.

  • Carlaforhillary

    Well said.

  • candymarl

    :-D

  • Carlaforhillary

Khan Krum – Hillary’s campaign did address the issue with the DNC  and was ignored.  They sent a letter (which I read and had, not sure where I put it) to the Obama campaign about all of the fraud that was going on in Nevada.

With respect to Texas, the campaign lawyers were sending out e-mailes requesting people to sign declarations.

Yes, nothing came of these things, but you have to remember that one, there are consequences to actions, and you have to weigh those consequences against other consequences. If Hillary had come out publicly at that time, she would have been dismissed by the media and everyone but Hillary supporters as flat-out crazy.  She would have had to drop out of the campaign, been banished from the dem party and none of what is coming out now would have been exposed.

Sometimes, you just have to bide your time.

Thanks for the link.  Powers’ argument was simply the Tu Quoque fallacy.  I should have spent less time teaching argumentation and logic because all I ever do when I see these talking heads shouting matches on t.v. is think of giving them bad grades for not doing the homework I assigned regarding logic.

For this one, I used to use children as examples because many of my students were young parents.  ”Tu Quoque” translated from the Latin means simply “you also.”  Think about children when you are trying to break up a snippy fight.  ”He did it too!”  Or if they are really brazen, “You did it too!”  Can you get away with that argument in school? (At least you shouldn’t.)  ”He put gum in my hair so I put gum in his hair and shouldn’t be punished.”

I used to tell the students that the best way to deflect this argument is to admit the deed, and clearly the Repubs at the DOJ under Bush have a lot to admit to, and then say–as Kelly did finally–that two wrongs don’t make a right and we need to concentrate now on the current situation for which we can DO something about correcting it.

I think that Megan Kelly may just be so new to this information and so outraged, as we all were when we first saw it and the caucus fraud, that she was too emotional about the issue (understandable in my mind).  Powers was arguing like a snippy teenage cheerleader in a “cat” fight with another girl, minimizing what she clearly had to know was absolutely wrong.  Denial is not a river in Egypt.

AA-I agree with you.  I only watch Fox News nowadays, but there is still a certain amount of distrust I have for them.  I love the fact that they are carrying these stories about Obama and his Chicago ways, but I wonder if they would have been hitting Hillary with everything but the kitchen sink if she had been the Prez.  Obama and his thugs from Chicago need to be exposed.  I got chills up my spine when I heard that interview with Megan Fox about the  Hillary and the lying, cheating Obama thugs during the primary season.     That anyone would try and justify their actions because of race is appalling.  I feel like Kenoshamarge-outraged that they think they have a reason to do the things they do, i.e., ends justify the means.  We must take our elections and our country back.

  • Keebler-Katmoon Multigrain

The legacy we do have from those of us who were Hillary supporters is being subjected to various degrees of voter intimidation; for which we now have to carry the torch so to speak. As mentioned on a thread yesterday, I believe we also need to empower ourselves once again as voters, be up to date on everthing new in your voting district well in advance, for the brave souls, volunteer to work at the polls, escort each other and offer rides, be ready with pen, papers, and cell phone video/cameras to document things out of the ordinary, get to know someone in the political process you can report incidences to. If you know of a district that is going to be ugly in your area, offer to escort there, and so it goes. Last week the DNC re-termed the dates for primaries, etc., which you need to know also, as well as republican, make sure your state legislature has not changed anything to do with voting I.D., times, and locations. I think you know what I am saying, the ball is in our hands, and I do not give too sh$ts about billy clubs, intimidation being called a racist or anything else. I don’t have to have my thumb stamped purple when I vote, so until that day comes, I will not allow myself to harmed nor intimidated ever when it comes to my right to vote and I will risk my safety to protect my fellow voter as well. TO HELL WITH ALL THE COWARDS WHO WOULD DARE!

Are you aware that Morgan Freeman has been accused of having a “romantic” relationship for the last decade with his step-granddaughter starting when she was only 17 years old?  If this is so, then isn’t he in the same league as men like Woody Allen and even Roman Polanski?  His behavior is sickening!

Morgan Freeman may have robbed his ex-wife’s daughter’s cradle. The National Enquirer alleges that the 72-year-old actor has been romantically involved with his 27-year-old step-granddaughter, E’Dena Hines, for as long as a decade.

Khan Krum – Hillary took the issue of what was happening and the fight for the nomination all the way to the DNC meeting, where the DNC gave Obama some of her delegates from Michigan.

Hillary’s team issued press releases on the day of the Texas primary and caucus.  They were ignored.

Hillary is not serving Obama. She is serving as Secretary of State for the people of the United States.

Your reponse means that you don’t believe what I or anyone else here has written. It also means you definitely didn’t campaign for Hillary or were a Hillary supporter. Nor do you know anything about her past and how she was much maligned way before she ran for president.

Calling Hillary a whore isn’t right, because that is not what she is. That would be Obama, who whored himself out to Soros et al.
Hillary fought all the way to end to try and garner a nomination that basically lost in January on Super-Tuesday.  That was her way of telling people what was going on, and still they did not listen.

As I said before, Hillary went all the way to convention.  So there was a first, second, third, etc.. and her being Secretary of State is not about bowing down to Obama, it is about putting herself in a position to be able to run for president.

That’s what Hillary supporters want in the end right? If you are against what Obama does and what he did to Hillary in the primary, then surely you did not want her to act like him.  She would not be able to become president if she acted like a screaming banshee.

So again, she has to bide her time.  No one respected Hillary as much as they do now that she is Secretary of State.

This is nothing but a deja vu of the Kenyan politics. Yes! Obama was elected as the POTUS- Kenyan style!

What an amazing speaker!  Now that’s more like what I remember with MLK.  How in the world did people get the notion that Obambi could orate?

I love his name “Apostle.”  Is that his given name?  I’ll be looking forward to seeing him in the news more often.  Thanks for the link.

Lithmus test KK?  As long as the same standard is used on everybody.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Well said, Peggy Sue.  Excellent comment.

Getfitnow, clearly, there must be concern on the part of the Powers That Be abt the Tea Party if they feel the need to now classify all of them as racists.  Telling.

I had responded to some other comments previously, but there seemed to be a glitch in the Matrix.  Great comments, friends!

  • bayareavoter

RRR Amy–Since I read your post I’ve been thinking all day how MAD I still am about all of this. People think I should “get over it” but I never will!

  • felizarte

100% in agreement with your post, CARLAFORHILLARY.  Hillary has to preserve her option of later being the anti-matter to obama’s matter and then some.  The country perceives her consistent goodness, wisdom and competence, which is why she is polling much better than obama on the economy, govt. policies and setting the right direction for the country.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Scout, you might wanrt to share your experience with the “We Will Not Be Silenced 2008” people.  There is a link on the side of their home page to email them.

Carla, your experience is very telling, too.  And I think you are absolutely spot on abt the difference between Obama and Clinton.

  • Buzz"water cracker"Latte

Wow and not a teleprompter in sight!

  • Peggy Sue

“No one respected Hillary as much as they do now that she is Secretary of State.”

Absolutely true.  Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers reflect that fact, supporters from both sides of the aisle, I might add.  I don’t agree with Hillary Clinton’s stand on Afghanistan but I think she’s done the country a true service by acting as Secretary of State.  She’s the grownup at the table, experienced and competent. The fact that anyone would call her a whore is really despicable.  I don’t care what adjective you put in front of it.

She’s our Secretary of State, has a long and distinguished history and deserves far better.  From everyone.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thanks, My Site – I tried to respond earlier, but my comment vanished.

Anyway, yes, the role model the Obama campaign has provided is that threats, violence, intimidation, theft, and lying WORK very well.  It is disturbing on oh-so-many levels…

Yes, Scout – she is the one adult in the room.  I was very mixed abt her taking SOS, too, and hated the thought of her “serving at the pleasure of ” THIS president.  But, in this position, I am glad she is there.  Can you imagine, given choices like Holder, who Obama MAY have picked if not Clinton?  Shudder…

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Bay Area Voter, thanks, first of all.  Second of all, yes, yes, yes – you have hit the nail on the head.  I feel exactly the same way.  Donna Brazile and her “nuclear option,” Dean acting as if there was NO sexism until way after the fact, Pelosi’s corruption of the convention process and votes of delegates, all of it – the DNC should be ashamed for theircorrupt, underhanded methods, but as noted upthread, that seems to be the way they want to operate now.  Dirty, dirty, dirty.  I cannot believe this is the same party to which I give my support for so many years.

I could not believe Nevada union workers still went to Hillary given the threats.  I was stunned, and thought, maybe, just maybe, the will of the people will prevail.  How naive I once was…

    Great comment.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

I have to say, I started watching Fox, something I had never done in my entire life, during the 2008 Primary because they actually treated Hillary well.  Greta van Susteren did EXCELLENT interviews with her.  They were not as despicably sexist with her as the other networks were, no small feat.

Maybe they are helping to marshall support for the Reps for mid-terms, but I am still glad they are exposing the fraud that occurred in 2008.  It’s a start, anyway…

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

I could not agree more.  Ani is a fantastic person, and her insights are brilliant.  I assure you, I am waiting most impatiently for this book of hers.  I have no doubt it will be a powerhouse text.

And I will pass along your kind comment to her, too, lorac!

And I’ll bring the club crackers along.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

AA Wheatmeal Cracker, I hear you, but yeah – this documentary is so important, I am happy that it is FINALLY getting a wider audience.  When I first became aware of it, I posted it here, and we have discussed it over time.  But for it to get out to so many people is critical.  People NEED to know what happened in Texas and other caucus states.  If nothing else, people willb e ready for it the next time around (though now Obama says he wants to get rid of the whole caucus thing.  Ahahahahaha – isn’t that hilarious??  Sure he will…).

    Excellent discussion!

  • felizarte

I am concerned about the voting rolls that contain dead people, convicts.  With present election rules, it is quite easy to apply for absentee ballots in the name of all the ineligible people, including people who have not voted in several elections, and to submit the ballots for a particular candidate.  I think this is another technique being preserved by obama which is why the doj objected to the purging of voters rolls.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

    Right there with ya, Hazelnut!

And felizarte, from your keyboard to the powers in the universe…

Thanks, Sassy – and yes, true that it opens old wounds.  OTOH, we cannot forget what Obama and the DNC did, the levels of corruption they utilized, to get what they wanted.  But I hear you!

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Oh, PE, that is FANTASTIC news!!!  I am so glad your godmother can tell her story to the producers (one of whom frequents NQ, I am happy to say).  That makes me so happy for her, for you,and for us that her story will add to all those speaking out for justice.  Great, great news, friend – thank you for letting us know!

    Yippee – WELL DONE!!!!

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thanks so much, Tricia.  I am sorry to hear abt the close friends you lost.  That is just sad.

But I commend your integrity, and fortitude, for standing your ground.  You are amazing!

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Well said, Keebler-Katmoon!  And excellent suggestions, too.

    Thanks, LadyD.

And as for Morgan Freeman’s personal life – if he’s not breaking any laws it’as none of my business.

Look, I don’t care what your typo is – I find the words “Hillary” and “whore” used together as offensive and sexist as you can get so get loost!

  • EllenD

And I find the words “Hillary and “whore” used together extremely offensive. Go away.

There is a Tide in the Affairs of (Women) Men

    Brutus:
There is a tide in the affairs of men.
    Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
    Or lose our ventures.

William Shakespeare, “Julius Caesar” Act 4, scene 3, 218–224

    Hillary caught the tide!
    2008 was Hillary’s moment.
    She won.
    Her moment continues

What is happening now is all apart of her legacy to this Democracy.
You, her loyal followers, are her triumph.
You have kept the faith in exile.
You have waited for the moment when the tide comes in again.

Teddy challenged Jimmy in 1980 and lost.
Hillary will challenge Obama and win in 2012.

    Wait for her message —

At The Rising of The Moon

And come tell me “Bayareavoter” tell me why you hurry so
Husha buachaill hush and listen and her cheeks were all a glow
I bare orders from Hillary get you ready quick and soon
For the Faithful must be together by the rising of the moon
By the rising of the moon, by the rising of the moon
For the Faithful must be together by the rising of the moon
And come tell me Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy where the gath’rin is to be
At the old spot by the river quite well known to you and me
One more word for signal token whistle out the marchin’ tune
With your placard upon your shoulder by the rising of the moon
By the rising of the moon, by the rising of the moon
With your placard upon your shoulder by the rising of the moon
Out from many a mud wall cabin eyes were watching through the night
Many a Sister’s heart was beating for the blessed warning light
Murmurs rang along the valleys to the banshees lonely croon
And a thousand eyes were flashing by the rising of the moon
By the rising of the moon, by the rising of the moon
And a thousand eyes were flashing by the rising of the moon
All along that singing river the loyal women will be seen
High above their shining banners flew Hillary’s own beloved green
Defeat to every foe and traitor! Whistle out the marching tune
And hurrah, me sisters, for freedom, ’tis the rising of the moon
‘Tis the rising of the moon, ’tis the rising of the moon
And hurrah, me sisters, for freedom, ’tis the rising of the moon

GFN, Taking that path and sticking to it was what got him assassinated. The assassins were allegedly sent by Elijah Mohammed who was the head of the Nation of Islam.  lorac, The Black Panthers were founded by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, in CA, as a defense organization against police brutality. And yes, it was that bad back then. The Panthers do not have anything to do with the Nation of Islam. No connection at all, some of them may admire Malcolm X, but they do not espouse his philosophy. The Black Panthers used to be about black pride and social revolution, ie. getting rid of racist policies and actions,  but now they are about black arrogance and violence. And they themselves have turned into racists. Don’t connect them with Malcolm X, he was an intelligent man who learned by living life and changing to meet its varying challenges. The Black Panthers aren’t flexible or intelligent enough to do that. If you want to read a very good book, read the “Autobiography of Malcolm X. It will educate and impress you. His early life was fascinating, and he describes things very well. I love his description of the “zoot suit” which was what all the “cool cats” were wearing way back in the day. And “Detroit Red” was one of the coolest.

  • lorac CheezIts

By the way, RRRA, I have high praise for you as well   :)

  • lorac CheezIts

getfitnow – personally, I don’t care about Malcolm X.  As I said, I’ve heard that he changed his views, and I’m glad.  But my point was about the people who follow him.  I don’t like violent people, and they follow the teachings of his violent period, not his later insight.

  • FlDemFem

Sorry..but I had one of those old-fashioned educations that insisted that I do research and find the facts before drawing my conclusions. I also spent my working life in horse racing and breeding. So before voting for someone for the highest office in the country, I think it behooves me to do as much research into that person as I would on a horse I was betting on. To buy a horse I do even more. But for a bet, I look at the breeding, the past performance and the conformation. Didn’t like Obama’s ears(conformation), and his breeding was suspect at best, but his past performance, 7 years of voting present in Ill. and 23 bills with him as “sponsor” that he didn’t work on at all, his ignoring his constituents freezing in Rezko’s housing, etc. didn’t sit well with me at all. This is a horse that will duck for the barn through the gap before the stretch run. Not fit for the highest office in the land. If more people knew how to read a Racing Form, Obama wouldn’t be president. And as for the DOJ, Bush didn’t have a horse in that race when the incident occurred. No entry, no foul. Simple.

  • Suzanne Goldstein

WHICH IS THE CART AND WHICH IS THE HORSE????? We’ll Find Out, The First Tuesday In November!   McCann’s three-run double in the seventh inning provided the National League all the offense it needed to capture its first Midsummer Classic since 1996 with a 3-1 victory Tuesday night.     Forget about the pundits’ predictions for the midterm elections.

It turns out that one of the best ways to figure out the fate of the Democratic House and Senate majorities is to follow the box score of Tuesday night’s Major League Baseball All-Star game.

According to an analysis by University of Minnesota professor Eric J. Ostermeier, who writes the Smart Politics blog, a National League victory in the Mid-Season Classic has preceded every election with double-digit GOP House gains since 1950.

The pattern is similar in the Senate. Since 1948, every time the Republicans have gained at least five Senate seats the National League has won. The flipside, however, is also true in the upper chamber: American League victories have preceded Democratic gains of five or more Senate seats since 1948.

The type of victory, it seems, is also revealing. Ostermeier’s study found that when the National League rallied late in the game to win, Republicans made landslide House gains, ranging from 34 seats to 54 seats. (Any inning after the “Seventh inning strech” is considered “late in the game”)

In 1994, for example, when the NL tied the game in the 9th before winning an extra inning nailbiter, the GOP picked up 54 seats. In 1966, when the NL won on a 10th inning single, Republicans posted a 47 seat gain.

“In many of these years with the Republican tsunamis –1966, 1980, 1994 –the National League had dramatic come-from-behind victories,” Ostermeier said.

While the National League has a 13-year winless streak. Ostermeier predicts the drought will end this year.

“I have to stick by the data and I have to go with the upset because all signs point to a big GOP victory in Congress and that can only go with a National League victory,” he said.
