Why did Keith and Chris Get “Reassigned”?

Sit through this if you can manage. If I’d been an NBC exec listening to this drivel I probably would have had an aneurism. Keep in mind that this went out live on the air on MSNBC. This is not Saturday Night Live or Mad TV. This is not Will Farrell parodying the hilarious obsequiousness of James Lipton. These are two multimillionaire anchors providing “analysis”.

I’m Barack Obama, and I approved these anchors.

[SusanUnPC here: DCMediaGirl, you should put warning labels on videos like these. I need a bucket quickly.]

Now if they can just get fired from their regular positions…

In a sane world those two morons would have been fired for their inexcusable violation of the public trust and their responsibility to fair and balanced journalism.

But then, in a sane world we would judge a man running for president by the content of his character, not the color of his skin.

They think reducing Martin Luther King Jr. to “The Preacher’ is great? Google ‘the preacher’ and Rev. Wright comes up. He didn’t give those that paved the road for him their just deserved respect.

The next day…no one could remember this ‘extraordinary’ speech. All we missed is Chris kissing Keith and telling him what a good job they both did on Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton THE BEST CANDIDATE THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE A WOMAN!

I am sorry, but there is something seriously wrong with the system. Guess that misogyny is inbuilt. Its incredible. I think of it this way……the MSM is
waiting to hear a smear from a former presidential candidate to an opposition on the VP ticket. That means…..Hillary to Sarah.

Take it the other way. If Romney or Huckabee (presidential candidates) smears Biden (a VP candidate), will it be given ehough press and analysis. I bet not.

Looks like the MSM wants a catfight between Hillary and Palin. Really, they are totally sexist. and its disgusting. And I’m a man. And this offends me. I can only imagine what you women are feeling.

It’s about time someone called her on this. Someone finally had the nerve to do it. Way to go Mccain!!That’s why I stopped watching msnbc a long time ago!!

This proves that if BO gets elected I won’t be watching him either for four, maybe eight years.

When Bush came on TV I’d change the channel or mute it.

Then with all the sexist crap during the primaries I stopped watching all news programs (that was in Feb.)

Who knows, maybe I’ll get rid of cable altogether.

I’m on the internet a lot more. In fact, it’s blogs like these and Hillary Clinton Forum that keep my hope for this country alive. Not to mention the comforting thought that there are people that think like I do.

Todd Palin, in his first major TV interview since his wife became John McCain’s running mate, said Tuesday that Sarah Palin’s nomination was not a “huge surprise” to him, as he believed she was “destined for higher positions.”

Palin, known affectionately as Alaska’s “First Dude,” spoke with FOX News’ Greta Van Susteren about snowmobile racing, hockey, fishing, moose hunting and working on the Alaska oil fields.

But he said his wife’s sudden ascent from first-term Alaska governor to history-making vice presidential nominee had always been a “possibility in the back of my mind.”

“You know, for me, it wasn’t a huge surprise,” Palin said. “You know, I’m just glad that they tapped into her. And I think Americans are seeing what she’s about. And so to me, it’s just not a big shock. I knew that she was destined for higher positions, maybe not as soon, but that’s just the way she is.”

Saw HRC today on the “new attack”. Again she made it very clear that her position is to contrast the McCain Palin agenda with the Democratic agenda. She stressed that the Republican VP spot is not the contest; the contest is between Obama and McCain and that Dems must not let themselves be distracted. She actually managed to make these positions clear without I think ever using Palin’s name. She may have lost to Obama but she is by far the best politician.

  • roseeriter

I’m a woman and I thought the same thing. Maybe its Obama’s habit to ‘touch all the mens knees’ when he speaks to them ‘one on one.’ He did it several times while talking with Bill O’Reilly. Maybe its a tap tap tap signal like the Senator in the bathroom who CLAIMS he’s not BISEXUAL.

Sorry, I couldn’t listen to the entire clip, it was way over the top. I have to wonder exactly what is up with these guys. Did they overdose on kool aid and do they really believe the stuff they’re saying? It really seemed as though there was something wrong with them, like normal people wouldn’t even talk like that. Are they bad actors perhaps? Either way, after that there is no way MSNBC can even suggest they try to be objective.

Speaking of MSNBC, gretawire has a clip up of a misleading video the Obama campaign is sending to the media. They essentially cut off, I think it might be Carly, in mid-sentence to make it sound like she is saying McCain couldn’t run a major corporation, when in fact she named all of the candidates and said they couldn’t run a major corporation. I wonder how many outlets will run with the partial sentence clip.

In my opinion, and ofcourse it may be deeply flawed, there are 2 kinds of democratic presidents. The growth-democrat or the re-distribution democrat. Clinton was a growth-democrat. His presidency expanded the economy, created jobs, bridged the deficit. But Obama’s economic plan is like a classic re-distribution democrat. The economy will die under Obama. That is not good in the present circumstances. Obama would be a disaster in this present scenario, whatever he or the Democratic party says.

  • tom

    lol, the next huffington advise….

With the Palin media frenzy still in high gear, it’s imperative that Obama take back the excitement momentum. One powerful way to shake up the race again would be to begin publicly announcing his Cabinet, beginning with the appointment of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, assuming she agrees to take the position.

This would not only give the public a deeper sense for what an Obama administration would look like. It would reignite the passions of devoted Hillary followers as they are assured of the power and influence that she would wield in an Obama administration.

Hillary Clinton has, by all accounts, demonstrated her credentials to be the President. The Secretary of State plays a key role in positioning America on the global stage and representing our interests abroad, as well as acting as an adviser to the President. It is the single most powerful and visible role in the Cabinet and a role for which she is eminently qualified. Such a position would also harness more of the wisdom gleaned from eight years of the Clinton administration and augment the foreign policy expertise that Biden brings.

In terms of election dynamics, such an announcement would turn the headlines back to Obama’s candidacy, with some pundits calling it a brilliant tactical move to regain Hillary’s supporters and others calling it a reaction to the Palin buzz. The debate itself would shift the fascination from the Palin pick, as well as subtly highlight the fact that Obama’s Secretary of State would be more qualified to be President than McCain’s VP.

With a defined role in the coming Obama administration, Hillary’s campaign events could have renewed vigor and visibility and those followers who have felt slighted and thus inclined to support Palin would have an additional reason to vote Democratic.

The next logical step with such an approach would be to announce further Cabinet picks, which would grab headlines, illuminate details about his administration’s plans, and add powerful leaders to the campaign trail. As the full Obama team becomes more visible, with specific leaders able to talk about concrete policies that can solve America’s formidable problems, voters can more easily look beyond the personalities at the top of the ticket and instead look at the programs and teams that can implement those policies. And it is in the details of their plans for America where the most important differentiators between McCain and Obama can be found.

By publicly announcing his Cabinet picks in advance, Obama would break historical precedent, demonstrating his role as change agent. Ironically, the stage is already set for this move since both McCain and Obama on 9/11 agreed to a Cabinet level position for Service and offered the position to their opponent if they win. In the long term, a shift towards early announcement of key Cabinet members would make good sense. After all, a venture capitalist will rarely invest in business ideas without assessing the full team that can execute a plan. Similarly, the American people should have a better sense for the full leadership team that will constitute an Administration rather than just the #1 and #2. Even better is a strategic plan for how to implement policies, which Cabinet members can be invaluable in fleshing out.

In today’s world of complexity, a President can only process so much information. It is beholden upon his or her Cabinet to be voices of wisdom, balance, and innovative ideas. The mark of a great leader is that they surround themselves with excellent leaders rather than yes-men or yes-women. Picking Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State and announcing that now would give us further insight into the caliber of leadership that Barack Obama would bring as President.

Dick Morris on Fox News said that Fannie Mae was a Democratic org. That is where they go to retire.

This means what I said back March that the Democrats caused the housing crisis proves true. They control the financial institutions. That was how they were going to win back the White House. Back in 2005, the business channels said that the teaser rates that they had on loans was going to cause an increase in foreclosures. They were only good to keep for a couple of years then refinance. Damn, I’m n average person and I can see what is going on. Maybe the rest of America can.

    This is truly disgraceful…

Do you think the recent stock market collapse or troubles in the banking system are good news?

Well, according to CNN’s Candy Crowley, the Obama campaign does.

On Monday’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” after CNN senior political analyst David Gergen said “what happened over the weekend with the economy and the bottom falling out of the financial markets…is the opportunity for Obama to seize the momentum back on his side,” Crowley actually said, “[J]ust as foreclosures were showing up on B-17, or in the real estate section, along comes this horrific headline out of Wall Street…I mean, this is what they wanted.”

I kid you not. The transcript of this disgraceful exchange follows (h/t Steve Malzberg):

DAVID GERGEN, CNN SENIOR POLITICAL ANALYST: But what happened over the weekend with the economy and the bottom falling out of the financial markets — and we have been saying for some time on this program this is the worst financial crisis since the Depression — Alan Greenspan said on Sunday the worst economic situation he’s seen — it seems to me that there’s a real turning point now, that that momentum on McCain’s side is likely to fade. And there is the opportunity for Obama to seize the momentum back on his side. I don’t know if he’s going to do it or not. He is trying. McCain has an opportunity here as well. But there’s no question right now that this — this really dark economic situation is now going to be — is going to really — is going to, I think, blot out a lot of this question about who — the backing-and-forthing and the advertising, and focus on the issues.

    ANDERSON COOPER, HOST: Right.

GERGEN: And that’s what — that’s what Obama has wanted to do. He’s now got the opportunity.

I think, personally, he’s got the critique down, but he still hasn’t provided a message about what he would do, nor has he really surrounded himself, in the way he needs to, with the Bob Rubins and the Paul Volckers and the Larry Summers and Laura Tysons, and have them as a tight unit. I think he still has to do that.

COOPER: Candy, no doubt — very quickly — on the campaign trail, it obviously played a big role today. You anticipate, in the days ahead, issue number one, it’s going to be front and center?

    CANDY CROWLEY, CNN: Oh, absolutely.

I mean, listen, just as foreclosures were showing up on B-17, or in the real estate section, along comes this horrific headline out of Wall Street.

    COOPER: Right.

CROWLEY: I mean, this is what they wanted. They believe, of course, that the economy is one of their strengths and that they can paint John McCain as George Bush.

Isn’t that nice? The nation’s banking system is collapsing, and members of CNN are not only discussing how it helps Obama, but are admitting that this is what his campaign wanted.

    How disgraceful.

More and more, I think we slipping into the next Hitler and Matthews and Olberman are the propagandists. This is creepy, Nuremburg rally stuff. When I watch this and read the harassing of WGN, I fully expect to see brown shirts in the street after Obama is elected. Chilling.

I’m getting truly afraid of Obama. What kind of man is he? He wants the economy to tank cos he gets to blame Bush, he wants to delay troop withdrawals from Iraq, cos it benefits his presidency. This man is scary. Please get a grip. America, and send this guy back to chicago. He is dangerous. Get serious about it. If you can, tell others about the dangers. This will affect the whole world. Obama is power-hungry and insane. And imagine him facing Putin. No way, he’ll want to run back to Michelle in the white house. yes, I’m being harsh, but you have to make sure that this guy doesn’t win.

  • csuzeq

I really hope so! I really hope Dumbama is going after Palin and it will all be innocent for her, but open him up for an investigation of a lifetime! I am starting to worry that the GOP isn’ going fast enough. For gosh sakes people we only have until November 4th to investigate his dozens (at least) crimes!

This has always felt like a really bad episode of 24! I keep wanting to play the part of Jack Bauer and say, “We’re running out of time!”

I think we need Cloe O’Brien pronto!

During the Republican National Convention, that asswipe Olbermann kept nitpicking everything uttered by McCain and Palin in their respective acceptance speeches. Even though I agreed with his nitpicking point for point…

    1. Nitpicking in general is a Machiavellian trick, where you fraudulently claim that EVERYTHING the other guy said is wrong simply because he said one thing wrong.

    2. As usual, it was also HYPOCRITICAL nitpicking. As a “journalist” rather than an advocate, he must treat both sides equally in every respect.

Ergo, Olbermann is a HYPOCRITICAL NITPICKING ASSHOLE.

    Q.E.D.

P.S. Olbermann is now brazenly mocking McCain-Palin for reading too much into everything, i.e. Obama’s blatantly sexist “Lipstick on a Pig” counter-attack. This asshole is the same douchebag who cited Bob Herbert’s dick-infested diatriabe about McCain’s Paris-Britney ad. Go figure…

  • http://www.hillaryorbust.com Hillary or Bust

If anyone can watch this spectacle objectively and NOT see parallels to Hitler’s rise, they have drunk too much Kool-Aid.

I’m not saying Obama plans on being Hitler. But this entire show is political propaganda of the worst sort. It’s an entire stadium with columns, huge signs, and fireworks…honoring ONE MAN.

    That’s just wrong.

I liked the Republican Convention’s style much better. It was much more humble and about the party, not about elevating someone to God-like status.

  • Sami

I noticed that Alan Greenspan had some disparaging words about McCain’s plans for America — I betcha he got his marching orders from his young wife, ANDREA MITCHELL of MSNBC fame.

No wonder Don Imus got a pink slip! As soon as Obama spoke out against Imus, MSNBC had to clean house to get rid of anyone Obama didn’t like. Only THEY can play that race card, not Imus, not Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton or Geraldine Ferraro, etc.

I hate all that MSNBC stands for.

Those Obama bastards lied, stole & cheated for the Dem nomination.

Next, Obama’s arrogant ass wouldn’t choose Hillary as his VP nominee.

Now – to add even more insult to injury – these pricks think that they can just dangle a cheap, token spot on Obama’s nonexistent Cabinet in front of Hillary’s and her supporters’ faces and we will go running to them??????

Hillary supporters are in NO WAY interested in seeing Hillary play third fiddle in the hypothetical administration of a lying, cheating, stealing, incompetant asshole. She is PRESIDENTIAL material, NOT a lap dog for Obama!

I hope that Hillary will tell those Obamassholes to take their crumbs and shove ‘em where the sun doesn’t shine!

I made it through 1 minute 23 seconds. Sorry, I tried, but just cannot stomach the propaganda of that spectacle of a dnc convention aired by MSNBC. I watched Matthews and Olbermann for years….until early last Spring. It’s amazing how your perspective changes when you actually do your own reasearch on the issues and make up your own mind…as opposed to being force-fed their biased opinions/rants 5 nights a week.

I wonder how many of us there are. Not just for this election. I am not sure that I will ever return to being a straight-DEM voter again. I feel just like you. I am even trying to deprogram my husband, my family and my friends, who think I need an intervention. And I am definitely deprogramming my 18-year old son and 21-year old daughter, who would otherwise have been raised to vote straight DEM.

Interestingly I had a great a conversation with my daughter about Sarah Palin. She likes her but having been indoctrinated by her DEM mother (me), she is leaning Obama. She started asking me questions about Palin’s abortion stance and I explained that she has not governed based on her personal stance on abortion and more importantly I explained to my daughter that my feelings are not too far from Palin’s.

I explained that when I was pregnant with her and considered an ‘older’ mother at age 36, I did not have amnio because I knew that I would not abort no matter what since the results would have come back at just after 5 months. That was a very personal eye-opener for her. I think McCain/Palin may have another vote.

And most interestingly, is that my daughter was enthused by Palin and paying attention.

I have voted DEM since 1969, straight line DEM, given money to DEM candidates and the DEM party. the works. I am so disgusted with the DEM party i cannot stand it.

  • layla

They are trash – they both seem like they have mad crushes on obama – and they obviously are scared of their mommies.

No wonder they were taken off election coverage – they are pathetic and laughable. I don’t think Rachel’s show will last. I haven’t watched it but I’m sure it’s like KO – no differing opinion allowed – just the far left opinions. Even Fox has opposing views – and they mock fox – they are losers.

  • http://uppitywoman08.wordpress.com Uppity Woman

Good God but that Olbermann is truly an A Hole just as rumored.

  • vjhinFla

Ditto here, too. I have not watched MSNBC or CNN since probably April or so, but did tune into them during the WV and KY Primaries and that was with the sound turned off, I just wanted to see their election results. It seems to me, they are a little better than FOX’s election count, but like I said, I had TV on mute and went to FOX if I felt I had to hear some jerk drone on and on about nothing except his/her piddly opinions. I find ALL the news networks to be just horrible and it’s now almost painful just to listen to even FOX, but at least I find them more grounded than the others.

It’s sad to see that the likes of journalism and reporting have sunk to such lows. (Oh, I just couldn’t watch the tape) and no I didn’t even watch either Convention except for Hillary and Bill, nobody else has anything to say that would remotely peak my interest! (I did listen to both McCain and Palin’s speech on You Tube clips.

I don’t trust any media anymore, and would like to see us invoke change in the pathetic news channels as well as the DNC. They hold just as much responsibility as to what went wrong as the DNC. Friggin assholes, all of them.

  • Kim
  • Diana

NBC news is very different from MSNBC news. It’s not as opinionated and focuses more on real news/issues. I can still tolerate listening to NBC news in the morning. I hope that doesn’t change. The others in the morning are more like talk shows. I was never an Olberman fan, I tried listening to him but just couldn’t get into that rhetoric of the worse person. He’s just too hateful a person for me.

Chris I used to like till this election, he’s the one my eyes have been really been opened on. I would channel surf when Keith would be talking and try to listen to Chris. No more, now I don’t even miss MSNBC. CNN I have a bit more problems letting go of, although I haven’t tuned into them in over a week now so it’s getting easier. I miss the Anderson Cooper reports. Lou Dobbs. Now, I go to directly to Fox News. I need to delete CNN and MSNBC from my channel line up, then I won’t have that temptation. ;)

Well, I can’t believe the crap driveling out of the these two Grade AAA Aholes. This is objective reporting? Well folks this, is the norm and not the exception, they represent just the tip of MSM. We need to break the monopoly of the corporate controlled neworks. These jerks have to be held accountable for their actions. When this election cycle is over with-we need to address the MSM! We can never forget, whether they push for a Democrat or Republican-this has to STOP!

  • Boondoggled

    I agree.

I saw her on the stump in Ohio couple of days ago…and that woman looked really tired and worn-out. It came across clearly as the light of day, that there was “no spirit of enthusiasm in her words”…and I am sure that many of her hearers heard that loss of spirit.

It is telling the truth…in her body language and attitude. When someone was taking her picture with another person, her frozen smile adn glazed eyes simply looked dead.

Hillary doesn’t have her heart involved in stumping for BHO…but her mind says she has to do it because it is the only political party she and Bill Clinton have ever belonged to…so for the sake of “the party”, Senator Clinton gives her support and appearances.

  • Dawnelle Leona Del Puma

    You are right.

Any clinton supporters are now too smart to have anything to do with the current democratic party and its leaders.

I like when people are willing to share parts of their personal lives with us, it shows we are very real human beings and not just a name on a screen. I had this same conversation with my daughter and it was really hard with her because she’s had to have a late term abortion. Her infant died in her fifth month of pregnancy, the pills didn’t work, so there was no other option. It was gut wrenching. I saw what she went through, and what I had to go through as her mother. It challenged a lot of my own beliefs on late term abortions, which before I dead set against. Now I know there are reasons for them, although it was a very tough lesson/way to learn it. It was even harder on her Dad I think because he is Republican, and very conservative. But he never faltered, he was right there to hold her up. Her and her husband are now also voting for McCain/Palin.

Whew, I escaped. At 1:09 I realized I was being wisked to an alternate universe.

Rachel Maddow is so slanted she can’t walk upright.

I’ll never forget the moments after Sarah gave Barack the one-two knock out with her speech. Pat B. and the three stooges were dazed. Olberman and Maddow looked physically ill (kind of how I felt listening to the garbage on this video) Her first sputtering contribution was to criticize how Sarah said “Eye-Rack”.

I’ve never much let it annoy me as much as it does this year. First stupid, grating, lie-based slam against Sarah or John, I change the channel, if I even turn it on in the first place (NBC, ABC, etc.).

    They suck.

I agree with a lot of the comments regarding this article. I used to be an MSNBC loyalist. I enjoyed watching Matthews during past elections. It is all FOX now. I go to MSNBC online sometimes and watch it once in a while just to see how biased they are. One just needs to compare headlines online to see how slanted MSNBC is. They never refer to Obama attacking, only McCain. Newsweek is just as bad.

I guess I was brainwashed myself for years.

  • Archimedes, give me a place to stand…

I noticed Keith saying “usually reserved for creations of fiction.” Obama is a fiction.

This may be the first accurate statement he has made this whole election cycle.

  • Steve

I wonder what they say now? That thing about taking what your enemy has and throwing it back at him… nice description of what McCain did by nominating Palin and picking up the change message.

I wonder if they praised McCain for his brilliant move. Guess not. Never let the truth get into the way of a good story…

We are what used to be the party, they are the future. Unless, we find a way to change it. I still consider myself a liberal democrat, because I am, in every sence of the word. True Liberals founded this country, Jefferson, Washington and all the others. The difference is, we like those before us, were and are realist. We understand, that even though we have liberal ideas, there has to be a means to accomplish them. In other words, we have a plan, not just “hope”.
That plan, includes knowing what is right and what is wrong, and that not everything about this country is evil. I choose not to blame others for the wrong in my life. I still believe in free speech, free press and the Constitution, even though the far left have abused it so badly. Even though I am a liberal, like you, I love my country.

This is both a very hard video to be listening too/watching. It is also very eye opening as to what is happening within the Democrat party and it’s leaders. I also love my country. I’ve been to Europe, a wonderful place to visit, I was ready to come home when it was time.

My great grand-father used to tell us…He and my great-grandmother were put on a work farm. She gave birth to her child in a cornfield, then was forced to get up and keep working. You would think they had a reason to hate this country and go home, back to Germany. They didn’t. In World War 1 he signed up to fight for the USA. He said because the USA held their dreams of what they could accomplish. He instilled in us at a very young age, you love your country no less than you love your own home. Would you protect your home from those that wish to break into it and take everything you own? Of course you would. You should protect your country no less, because without her you have no home. Everything you onced treasured, that you took for granted is gone. Then is too late.

You’re analogy on the video speaks so much truth to me, although it may be hard to face. Thank you for the link, and for your thoughts on it.

It is so amusing to know that as they are speaking these words, Sarah Palin sits in wait in Ohio. they had no idea what was about to turn the world off of Obama’s empty words and their lathered praise. so amusing.

  • Jean

Yuck! Sorry…couldn’t take but 4 minutes of enduring that garbage. It felt and sounded like at any moment Oberman or Matthews with tears in their yes would get down on one knee and propose marriage to Obama…..seems like a private moment, and the general public was unknowingly intruding.

  • ritamary

I listened for four minutes. Is that a record? Sounds like Chris Matthews was getting ready to cry. When will Keith Obamaman return to doing just sports?

Obamington Post is advising the Messiah to pick Hillary as Secretary of State? But they were trashing Hillary (and Bill) up until just recently. What happened? Wasn’t Hillary called every vile and despicable name on Obamington Post? And didn’t they say she is a racist, and a liar, and her experience didn’t mean anything?

Please Hillary, stay in the Senate!!!!! In any cabinet position you are there as Obama’s flunky and he can fire you any time.

When Obama loses, they’re gonna need a 24/7 suicide watch on both of those fools. Alec Guiness in “Bridge on the River Kwai”… that stunned look of disbelieving realization and then,
“My God, what have I done?”

  • Zee

Thank YOU, Diana, for sharing your gut-wrenching story.

Too many people spread the smear that late term abortions are simply a whim of the pregnant woman. I am so sorry for your tragedy there.

Also, jrterrier….my son (who is NOT voting for Obama because his eyes were opened by the flipflops on FISA, etc) still needs to learn that what is considered a “given” by the so-called “progressive” truisms is too often rooted in complete ignorance. He was anti-Palin because she “forced” her daughter to remain pregnant.

I had to explain to him that our family has deep country roots, altho his immediate family is urban. My cousin married and had her babies in her teens…and THEN went to school and had a career. Her way is not only just as valid as the urban norm, but may, in fact, be better in some ways, compared to the risks of having babies when one is older.

I guess we can be grateful for all these “learning” moments.

  • ritamary

Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton or Geraldine Ferraro did not play the race card. They pointed out facts for which the Obots accused them of being racists.

  • lurkering

Who is cheering in the back, the MSNBC team or the Obama team? Oh, wait they are one and the same.

The boards of AOL-Time-Warner, Viacom, Newscorp and Disney, the corporations comprising these holding companies and their assigns. Just peruse the most cited post March non-blog news sources on No Quarter and you have Fox News and the New York Post, both Newscorp stooges.

Disney may lose it’s club privileges because it recently allowed ABC to have the ladies on The View give McCain a public rogering and also had the temerity to have it’s minion ask Palin about the Bush Doctrine, something which that Krauthammer idiot has been fawning over for the last seven years.
