Hmmmm, NOT.

This guy has done nothing, and he's got TWO autobiographies? And they don't mention Black Liberation Theology, Rezko, Ayers, or his successful, but unethical election tactics, which are the heart of his success.

"Despite your complaint about Bush, it’s still 7/0 with terrorists losing. [Quoting a well-known conservative writer.]"

Firstly, I am nonplussed about your references to my complaints about Bush. I believe Bush is brilliant, albeit severely misguided, incurious and stubborn, traits that the marketplace has recently shown to be universally Republican. He brilliantly got a nation of the politically immature and self-absorbed to elect him twice. You are the gomers I have the complaint about. The Romans had it right: The generation that came online in 2000 should have been exposed at birth.

Secondly, either you or your well-known conservative writer are goddamn liars attempting to mislead the country during a period in which it is in some peril. "7/0" indeed, as if plugging your ears and humming will remove the bayonet from your guts. If anything, the past years have shown the increasing destabilization of the regimes we were counting on in Asia to carry our water in combating this so-called "terrorism". Are casting these lies actionable treason during time of war?

"Treason doth never prosper: what's the reason? Why if it prosper, none dare call it treason."

In a perfect world you, your friend Coulter and your fellow-travelers would have been chained to the embassy fence at 9:00 in Yemen yesterday.

The quote was per CNN:
<blockquote>"Well, I don't think John McCain could run a major corporation, I don't think Barack Obama could run a major corporation, I don't think Joe Biden could run a major corporation," Fiorina said.

"It is a fallacy to suggest that the country is like a company. So, of course, to run a business, you have to have a lifetime of experience in business, but that's not what Sarah Palin, John McCain, Joe Biden or Barack Obama are doing."</blockquote>

And Carly should know, because she cannot run a major corporation either.
The HP board collectively broke its foot off in her ass making her disappear along with a 21 million golden parachute and the 7000 engineers, technicians and assemblers she laid off. She annoys me more than Obama's adviser, Zbigniew Zabriskie. At least if you don't nuke the economy, you can still have a chance at rebuilding the military.

The Republican axiom that governments should be run like businesses has always tickled old Jim. When things get bad, lay off your citizens. Better yet outsource the bastards.

<strong>Re: Panic</strong>
You don't panic when the odds are even. You begin to panic when you find that you are down 10 points.

<strong>Re: God Loving candidates</strong>
Should you live long enough to know when to panic, you will learn repeatedly that candidates only love themselves.

<strong>Re: Honest candidates:</strong>
I know of only one person that ever leveled with the American people and it really pissed them off to be told that they were not the people their parents were, that they were self-absorbed and consumed by their material possessions. He lost.

So I don't think Gov. Palin is Sen. Clinton's equal. But I don't think she is devil incarnate either and I frankly like a lot of what she has done. She certainly has more experience than Senator Obama, sad to say.

I am totally with you. I am a California professional woman that camps, shoots bows and arrows, and raises a daughter alone while going to grad school. My vaccuum cleaner has no significant mileage on it, and that's life. I love HRC, but I like Sarah a lot too. I am unhappy with how far left the Dems went. I am a registered Independent, but voted Dem almost always. I feel the Dems have demonstrated they are the anti-woman party, and I like that McCain trumped that in his VP selection. He even said the coverage of HRC has been sexist. Jeez - a Republican takes up a woman's cause? Good for him! I also like it that the Repubs defended Palin from sexist media (and liberal feminist) attacks. The Dems piled on - so much for looking out for women! Feminism was supposed to be about advancing the causes of ALL women, not just those with the same beliefs as some.

Former HRC supporter here. I am voting McCain, in California, which is 14 points over to Obama. BUT there is a large McCain crowd out here, and we're making inroads in the polls. My liberal girlfriends are SCREAMING at me for this, but what I saw in HRC's defeat was that the problem for women in this country ISN'T defending Roe. The real problem is sexism and access to real power. Darned Republicans, in one swoop, knocked those demons off the plate, when the darned liberals tried propagating sexist attacks on their VP candidate. Amazing. Dems will get nothing out of me. Who'd have thunk the Republicans would be the progressives in terms of sexism???? They got my vote...

"The source said that Barclays won't be buying any of Lehman's troubled assets, including its real-estate and real-estate backed securities, derivatives or over-the-counter positions. Further, Lehman's European business will remain in bankruptcy."

Barclays is just scavaging the most tasty portions of Lehman's corpse

"Now that the investment bank's in bankruptcy, those assets can be left at the holding company and Barclays is free to pluck what businesses it desires."

Spin away all you want but the trend is there for all to see. Fanny and Freddie Mac nationalized, AIG bailed out, Meryl Lynch acquired and both Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers gone to the bone yard. All this happened under elephant purview under rules written by McCain's economic brains Senator Phil Gramm.

Granted they were ably assisted by Hillary's husband in this endeavor. But the ideology and the heavy political lifting were provided by the Republicans. One of the most dedicated of the deregulating foot soldiers was John McCain. Earlier this year McCain stood firm on the idea that less regulation of the financial markets was needed, not less. Thus the question becomes how one 'cleans up" Wall Street without imposing new regulation or oversight. It is an interesting question.

Must beg to differ. They need to be a part of any age-appropriate sex ed regime. As in any education it is a continuum. The subject would be presented in way for them to understand. For the early years some very simple messaging about reporting "bad touching" or some such. Later on, definitely before puberty kicks in, other topics like AIDS and STDs would be covered.

Sexual predators molest Kindergärtners and pre-K children too. The kids have got to be told that Uncle Lou can not touch them in their secret place. Remember it's a voluntary program and the parents do have an opt out. So if someone wanted to shield their wee bean from the evil world there was that option.

There was both a public health rational and law enforcement rational for the bill. What Keys and others have done is make it in to very cheap, very sleazy pornography. The ad was a gross distortion of the bill even as amended.

He was vetted by 18,000,000 people and by 18 months of campaigning. Both his auto-biographies got sliced, diced and julian fried. And speaking about vetting: Where is the tape Larry? Where is "whitey?"

I will vote McCain Palin as a protest vote and thankfully, it's McCain running this time. However, as someone who closely followed Hillary's career for years now, I in no way see Palin as her equal or even a real voice for me in any way that Hillary would have been.

Caucus fraud, sham roll call votes, and giving away delegates will not be rewarded. This counting of true votes and not cheating in this process is too important to not stand against the corrupt D.N.C.

But for me, it's a sad and sorry choice I"m forced into here. Palin didn't make a difference to me. In fact, I'm not happy to see her go ahead of Hillary as vp. But she IS better than the liars who cheated this country out of what might have been the best president of my life time.

We better hope McCain wins. Otherwise, the D.N.C. will make sure no one's vote really matters anymore at all and Obama will get the say so on who is in charge. I want my party back, and I want Hillary in the White House as POTUS in 2012.
