Barack Does Hollywood

And raises $9 Million from those who still cling to celebrity over substance. Ok, you don’t have to watch the whole thing.  I think one line at the beginning sums it up.  As the One™ acknowledges those present he says “other entertainers” in way that made me think he meant himself.

This is Barack off the cuff and serious.  Seriously Jimmy Carter sounding and approaching Mike Dukakis.

from Politico:

He made his remarks from a stage in the corner, bathed in lights, holding a microphone in his hand as he looked out into the crowd, according to Jeff Zeleny’s pool report. He said the campaign provided a sobering look at the country’s economic condition.

“It’s reminded people that this is not a game. This is not a reality show, no offense to any of you,” Mr. Obama said to laughter. “This is not a sitcom.”

Among the celebrities who could be seen by your pool, which was stationed at the rear of the courtyard: Will Farrell, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Lee Curtis and Jodi Foster. And Dennis Haysbert, who played the president on the TV series “24.”

There were at least 300 people, seated at 30 tables resting on cobblestone. White and red wine glasses were on the tables. Waiters, dressed in black, listened to the speech.

Then why Senator.  Why did you, the American Idol Candidate, steal the primary?

The candidate who’s great claim to fame is a speech we all saw and another speech that was a re-enactment?

I don’t buy into hype and celebrity status. I just remember that it’s all make believe and these people live in an entirely different world. They’ve got tons of money so they could care less if Obama is tied to lobbyists and Wall St. people who have created this mortgage and economic catastrophe. It’s not going to hurt them.

Most celebrities don’t have a lick of sense anyway so take their opinions w a grain of salt.

  • mrduffin

I guess if you are rich like these folks it does not matter that BO intends to tax the folks who have any money at all and give it to the people who don’t. If BO wins and he puts in place all of the give-aways he has proposed I will stop working and get on the Obama trillion dollar gravy train. There is no way to pay for what he had promised to win the election. BO is the sleaziest candidate that has ever run for president of the USA.

I’ve been listening to Sean Hannity interviewing Governor Sarah Palin on his show this evening. It’s quite refreshing to have a professional interview. She is very focused and providing indepth answers and insights on the discussion they’re having about the economy. I especially liked the part where she was talking about cleaning up Washington and mentioned there are too many people with OPM addictions. She clarified saying OPM = Other People’s Money. Obama had an OPM addiction problem big time.

I will recycle and add to a comment I made below as it seems fitting here…

Obama does not know himself… he has some vaguely good ideas, but his problem is that he has not had time to refine and define his positions or platform through experience. He will not win on his message because he does not quite know himself yet. This is observed when one see’s him go off message and make exceptionally wide flip flops…(AIPAC and FISA come to mind)

He did become a celebrity in the Democratic Party. He has had too many advisers and not enough time actually working in the trenches to help him discover his depth and commitments. That is why he comes across as an empty suit, he is one.

I do not know one coddled celebrity that I would trust to have my back. They are too spoiled and petulant, everything is about how the world is according to them. They loose their compassion and disconnect from the realities everyday people face.

Obama’s world view is that there are the little people and then there are the people that support him. I think the exception to this would be the AA community that supports him. IMO, he completely takes them for granted, and just as he did not take care of the South Side AA constituents in Chicago, he will do the same nothing for the AA community in Washington.

The Harder They Come The Harder They Fall…. ( with lyrics )

Well, they tell me there’s a pie up in the sky
Waiting for me when I die
But between the day you’re born and when you die
No one ever seems to hear you cry

But as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share of what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all (Ohh, ohh, ohh)
I said the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all

I said the oppressors are trying to keep me down
    Trying to drive me underground
But they think they’re gonna have the battle won
I say forgive them Lord, they know not what they’ve done

But as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share of what’s mine
I said the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all (Ohh, ohh, ohh)
I said the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
    Break it down!

Well, I try to do the things that I want
Cause when you’re dead, you know that you can’t
I’d rather be a free man in my grave
Than living as a puppet or a slave

So as sure as the sun will shine
I’m gonna get my share right of what’s mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all (Ohh, ohh, ohh)
    Ooh, the harder they come
Harder they fall, one and all (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I said the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all (Yeah, yeah-ah-ah)
I said the harder they come
The harder they fall, one and all
    Break it down!

Rasmussen and Gallup run 3 day rolling polls. Every day is they add a new and drop the older day.
Honestly, poeple polled have shown time and again they trust mccain.
When things are bad they will go with who they trust. Also, obama just looks hysterical.
He is knee deep with Fannie and Fredie. Their “Family” after all.

  • Diana L. C.

Since I didn’t want to throw up, I didn’t watch the coverage of the DNC. Where was Carter? I didn’t hear anything? Why would we not hear of a Democratic ex-President during the DNC. I think Obaby’s fawning over Reagan was a terrible think to do in regard to Carter.

Carter is a very good man, and I didn’t mind him as a President at all. I do clearly remember listening to the “malaise” speech. I do not remember thinking, “Gee, I wish he were more upbeat and happy–You know, don’t worry, be happy.” I did think it captured the mood of the country at the time.

Reagan’s interfering in the Mid-East situation at that time is similar to O’s now.

I can’t really think of the major good works that recent Repub ex-Presidents have done, but I can think of what Carter and Clinton have done.

It almost appears to me that we’ve warped into an alternate universe in which the Democratic nominee now acts like a Republican and the Republican acts like a Democrat in many way.

  • Dan

That is complete and utter bullshit. The economies of Europe totally stagnated under “democratic socialism” in the 1970′s. Yet that is precisely the direction in which Barack Obama would steer our economy. The fundamental truth has always been, and will always be, that individual citizens operating in a free market employ resources much more efficiently than governments do. That’s why we ultimately won the Cold War.

What we’re seeing in the financial markets today is the product of naked greed on the part of both lenders AND homebuyers, coupled with outdated regulation that was selectively applied in concert with a misguided federal reserve policy that provided wasy money to fuel an unsustainable speculative bubble in real estate prices. It is NOT any any sort of systemic “failure of capitalism”.

John McCain sounded the alarm on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2005, but nobody wanted to listen, including the congressional Democrats (like Barack Obama) who were the primary protectors of those two companies.

And if the quality of life in Europe is so much better than here, why do so so many more immigrants want to get to the USA than anywhere else? Besides, European and Scandinavian economies have long had a hidden benefit of the security umbrella provided by, and disporportionately paid by, the United States.

  • Paul3triple

He has fought the good fight and passed tough laws to help with government.
It makes no sense to vote for green party anyhow. I wouldn’t vote for their candidate regardless but green party will not win. Or any other third party.

Likewise, this is pure bullshit. The US has the best healthcare available anywhere in the world. Why do you think that citizens of Canada and Europe come to the US to get treatment so often?

If you get a chance, talk to a citizen of Canada or Great Britain and ask them what they think of “univerasl health care”.

Granted, there are things we need to do here to make health insurance more affordable, such as eliminating the outdated prohibition on insurance companies selling coverage to people out of their home state. But “socialized medicine” is most certainly NOT the answer.

I have 5 things i want everyone to keep in mind.

    1. In a year when any generic democratic candidate is polling at 10 points higher than a generic republican candidate for president, Obama is neck and neck with McCain.

    2. In a year when 90% of the press is fawning coverage on barack obama and constantly attacking anyone who dares question him or potentially get in his way, Barack obama is neck and neck with John McCain.

    3. In a year when Hillary Clinton, the most qualified individual presented by either party was pushed out of the race because of her supposed high negatives, Barack Obama is running neck and neck with John McCain.

    4. Barack Obama consistantly polls higher than his actual vote turnout with late deciders.

    5. The Bradley Effect which really should be renamed, The “I don’t want to be harassed and Called a Racist” effect.

  • Diana L. C.

All four of my grandparents escaped when they could from Stalin’s socialism. Many, many more of my people–the Volga Germans and the Bessarabian Germans–were starved by the idiocy of socialist policies.

Socialism is not attuned to the normal psychology of humans.

We need a good public school system and a good public health care system, but we need to work on making these systems really fit the ideals of our democratic government–that is assuming we really have such a system.

After the primary, I am really quite convinced we do not have one. We have Comrades Pelosi, Dean, Reid, and (gag) Brazile as our supposed intelligentsia and vanguard.

I am very afraid if that kind of stupidity is in charge. It’s as bad as the Cheney/Bush/Rumsfeld triumverate.

  • Paul3triple

Chicago Joe, the candidate is the problem for one.

I don’t care about the party i care about the candidate. The person is what is important to me. Green,Constitition,Libertarian, Democratic, or republican party does not matter.

But you have to put your money on a winner to. A 3rd party is not going to win. The big 2 have a monopoly on the country. Especially when a guy who could ruin the nation like obama, if you do not want him in then you go with the other guy who has a shot.

McCain has more than a shot and i would vote for him over any in the dems field this year aside from Hillary.

  • RottenFishArePeopleToo

  • Paul3triple

I don’t have a hard time voting repubican.
I used to be a democrat til the end of the primary.
Keep in mind that McCain was often called the democrats favorite republican. He passed comprehensive Bi-partisan campaign finance reform.
It took them years and he stuck to it against all of the entrenched interests. Immigration he fought hard for it. Harder than any republican and most democrats. He worked with Bill Clinton giving him cover politically to normalize relation with the Vietnamese. He was against reagan sending troops to Beirut becuase it was the wrong thing to do. And unfortunatly quite a few of them died.
He risked his candidacy to fight for the surge and becuase of that the Iraqi poeple are on the streets safely. Al-Anbar province where there was expressed to be no hope from some democrats is now in the power of the iraqi poeple. He fought Abramoff for his corruption. He fought big tobacco. He voted against the Dick Cheney Oil give away.
    DRILL BABY DRILL

Those are just some of the reasons a democrat could vote John McCain.
He also has good policy. Go to his site and read them forget the spin from the left. And read economists they say his plans are better. His energy plan is superb. It is much more ambitious and sensible.

Carter did some good things as president, but on national security he could not make a decision, and he allowed the hostages to become a big problem. The press did not play fair (Nightline followed that every night,) but a politician’s job is — within a reasonable extent — to ride and manage public opinion and get out in front of it. Carter also did not work with his Democratic allies in Congress.

Mondale said that any time somebody told Carter – this would help you politically – then Carter didn’t want to do it. At first glance, that makes Carter look like an upstanding guy. But you need political capital to get things done.

Because of Carter, we were stuck with St. Ronnie for eight long years.

I was alive and conscious. I didn’t say he was the greatest President, but I didn’t find it harder to live during his presidency than I did through Reagan’s. And I also did admire many things about his character. He inherited much that was started before his presidency. He tried never to do government business the “Washington way,” and so was drummed out of Washington. What are we all griping about now but trying to change the culture of Washington.

You are so full of shit. That may have been true 10 years ago but as someone who has access to both, American medicine is only great if you can afford to pay up front. Otherwise, it’s the insurance companies that decide your medical treatment. My European family get much better healthcare for less money and in a more timely manner. I have very expensive insurance, damn near 15,000 bucks a year and I’m begging for treatment after my doctoer was kicked out of network, one day after I had a $116,000 back fusion surgery. They don’t even fuse backs in Europe anymore because of the new artificial discs. Much cheaper and better recovery time. But because everyone in America with disc problems could benefit from them, my doctor said they’d put insurance companies out of business, they are deemed experimental, even though they’ve been doing them in Europe for over 15 years. Face it. Some fuckwad with barely a college education in a cubicle is deciding YOUR healthcare.

I thought Palin did a good interview with Hannity and he was obviously respectful of her. Karl Rove had some great insights and he unloaded some heavy artillery on what was really happening at Fannie/Freddie and the Democratic responsibiity for it. He made Alan Combs look like an ass as he in fact is. She and McCain did have a good day on the campaign trail and she got in some good lines at the townhall meeting with McCain—on Fox of course, you would not have seen that perspective any other place. The hacking incident is not going to hurt her but probably help. Most people are like me; I want to be able to use the internet in peace and those little dinkies who think it is cute to hack and spread viruses get no sympathy from me. Having said that… in all respect he should also quit trying to be an ex-president.

  • Docelder

I am without doubt this is being handled as a security breach by the Secret Service and as a VP candidate, Palin has their protection. Most likely, somebody launched an automated robot at Palin’s Yahoo account simply brute force guessing her password until it was guessed right. No doubt Yahoo has traffic logs which will show thousands of failed login attempts for that account. The question is… how would the hackers know the account name. So, somebody who knew her account name gave the information to the hacker group… either directly or indirectly. Maybe the airdropped investigators uncovered the account name, maybe Palin sent information to the media on that account. The thing is, Yahoo will be subpoenaed and they will turn their traffic logs to law enforcement. These logs will show the failed password attempts and they will stand out. Nothing done online is completely in private or cannot be traced. If the threat is worth the cost of tracing it, it will be traced. I expect whoever did this will be in an orange jump suit shortly.

  • Ms. Misdemeanor

I see your true colors, troll, now that you have shown them.

I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I agree with you that deregulation has turned us into damned near a banana republic.

Funny how there are a lot of people here who think it was the greatest human innovation since white bread.
    Must not be Democrats.

I live in a very red area in a battleground state(Virginia), so I am in contact with a lot of Republicans. We work together on various projects (building libraries, saving historical sites, coaching sports, etc.) They know my politics; I know their politics; they know I will never vote for their candidate, unless it advances my perceived interests; and they know the same. We both do interesting things in open primaries and statewide elections, occasionally.

We both take politics seriously, but we also joke about it too. You cannot imagine the hilarious day after election phone calls that occur-sympathy,condolences, congratulations, all delivered with crocodile tears, and more than a bit of snark. I imagine this happens in a lot of other states too.

Virginia is a complex state. In 1988 we elected the first black governor since Reconstruction, L. Douglas Wilder; in 2006, we kicked out Wilder’ successor as governor, George Allen. Allen was by then a US Senator with presidential ambitions. Allen’s fall from grace was precipitated by a racial slur against an American Sikh who was working for the opposition campaign.

Finally, there is the issue of authenticity. I had a chance to meet George Allen in 1986 thereabouts, when he was running for the Va House of Delegates. He was standing 25 feet away smirking and talking loudly to 3 or 4 people. I watched and listened for about 2 minutes. A local political worthy asked me if I would like to meet Mr. Allen. I said “No, I don’t have time. I have to get back to work.” I imagine the same would happen if I had an up close look and hear with Obama. Of course I doubt that I would ever want Obama within 25 feet of me.

With McCain and Palin, it’s different.
While I abhor much of their political-economic philosophy, and would never vote for them for that reason, I recognize them as genuine people. I would enjoy having them in my kitchen for breakfast, congratulate them on their achievements, and pick their brains a bit.

    I might even learn something.

Jon, be a good lad and take your nerf ball over to the corner. YOU NEED A TIME-OUT!

A conflicted man cannot know who he is. And 0bama is conflicted. His is a struggle against a circumstance beyond his control… his heritage. And he had to do it without the guidance of a father who who might have helped him navigate the 2 worlds of his heritage. He’s been alone in a struggle of identity and it’s caused him to reject one half of himself in favor of a half that is in reality alien to him.

The AA experience is perecieved by 0bama in the abstract because he has never lived it. And I believe his resentments stem from the fact that he is forced by the dictates of society to be something that is essentially alien to him.

This is where it gets tricky. 0bama’s personality would be the same even if he was one race or the other. Some people simply have to carry the alabatross of alienation around their necks. 0bama’s has been weighted down with racism.

It would be curious to know what kind of child he was before his grandfather thought it was a good idea to expose him to Frank Marshall Davis. Whether this man molested him or not, I think it’s clear that he influenced 0bama at an impressionable age. And not for the better. I don’t think 0bama has it in his nature to be friendly and receptive to friendships. So I think ‘Uncle Frank’ might have heightened his awareness of racial attitudes, which only served to make him suspicious and even more alienated.

How does a chld grow up without at least one best friend, a constant playmate, a companion? Even if you do in fact lose touch as the years go by as often people do. To me this indicates that he felt ‘different’ to a hyper-sensitive degree. And this is what over time has contributed to what we perceive as his arrogance, his elitism, his total lack of empathy.

He really is the center of his own Universe. He really does view the world from the standpoint of the little people versus the ones with power. And without question, he really feels above any of it, better than others. And what better job to have than POTUS? Or so he believes. That he could possibly be striving for this office because he believes it would ensconce him in a bubble where he could exude contempt from a distance makes him dangerously naive and completely unfit for the job.

Ultimately, this is a personality that should not be in public service. Running for office requires not just a lust for power, but a genuine interest in making things work for people. 0bama doesn’t want to work period. He has spent the last 21 months dodging his work as a senator. What makes him think he’d be happier in the 24/7 job as POTUS. Being president isn’t only basketball and photo ops, state dinners and glad-handling VIPs.

What’s mystifying about the 0bama phenomenon is that our democratic leadership actuallly chose him. What’s tragic is the possibility that this conflicted man might win.

So, now we have Hollywood rich (who “THINK” they are important and ‘educated’), highschool drop-outs with morals of alley cats backing Obummer. Shows you what THEY know! But then, I guess that’s the kind of people Obummer attracts…

  • Brendy

I thought Obummer only attracted the ‘higher educated’ and more ‘wealthy’. Of course since Obummer wants to make sure this is a socialist country – take from the rich (AND the middle class) – and distribute the wealth (via taxes) evenly. Of course that means all the welfare/medicaid queens and kings and the lazy SOBS who DON’T WANT TO WORK, will gravitate towards Obummer! THEY know a gravy-train when they see one…and Obummer’s policies are just THAT!

  • Brendy

I’m sure he was just trying to ‘charm’ the celebs with his ‘cool’ talk and his ‘swagger’. I doubt he talked ‘policy’. Afterall, he LOVES being around the rich and famous doesn’t he? He thinks of himself as a ‘star’, so he just wanted to blend in. Yeah, he’s just like one of us – LOL! The dumb nitwits supporting this phoney clown really are STUPID or they just don’t give a damn about the country as a WHOLE!

  • Zelda Crunch

Someone please put this Obama person out of our misery.

  • Brendy

Matthew Weaver – just IGNORE Jon; that’s what he WANTS – to get people riled up; afterall, he’s a newbie here and doesn’t know the level of support Hillary had and the level of anger against Obummer for stealing the election. Everyone just needs to ignore all of his posts.

  • Zelda Crunch

Nothing done online is completely in private or cannot be traced.

This is strictly not true. Perps can use onion routers and then it’s almost impossible to find them. That being said: I don’t think the erudition of these people is that high.

  • Brendy

You’ll throw your vote away alright – you’ll throw it indirectly to Obama. That’s one less vote for McCain and a vote WASTED by giving it to a third party who has NO WAY of ever winning the election.

In a ‘normal’ election – when both candidates are PRO-AMERICA and the elections were won fairly (among other things), a third party vote would not be harmful. But in THIS case – with Obummer – our country CANNOT afford to elect him; that’s how dangerous his presidency could be. He has way too many shady, corrupt, racist, greedy and anti-America associates in his past.

“So please understand that anyone who states that Jimmy Carter was a great President is totally undermining any credibility he may have had in this community.”

Thank you for taking it upon yourself to be the Memsahib,Major Domo, and hall monitor of No Quarter.

In your exalted multiple capacities, you could perhaps convince the management of NQ to let you post a “Carter Incompetent” open tread.

    I don’t suffer fools easily.

I don’t even enjoy 10-1 odds against me anymore. Winning against those odds got very boring over time. I mostly just write short comments, these days.

But if you build it I will come.

    And I will enjoy it.

    Ball’s in your court.

Gosh, Mimi, again a brilliant post. Thoughtful and penetrating. I really look forward to reading your posts.

I think Streisand has a beautiful voice. But I still prefer Chopin and Deanna Durbin.

  • Snickers

    I agree DianaL.C.

  • ummm

Didn’t McCain just have a 50,000 dollar a plate fundraiser in some swanky hotel in Miami?

Didn’t McCain just hold a fundraiser with Hollywood movie star Jon Voight?

  • Snickers

DianaL.C. I agree with you. I also admire Carter as a man and I don’t think his administration was the worst one. I disliked Reagan’s policies much, much more.

  • Snickers

You know, Jon, I thought you were banned from this site. Did you plead and beg and Larry said he’d give you another chance. Larry, it’s not too late to revoke that privilege.

  • Snickers

Chicago Joe, there is nothing wrong with the Green Party or Cynthia McKinney. I would be voting for her this year if Barry weren’t such a threat to our country. And if the DNC hadn’t perpetrated its own version of Watergate during the primaries. It’s time to pay the piper…and I’m doing it with my vote.

I’ve said for years that the Hollywood liberals hurt the Dems. They provide money, but give the party an image of elite far-lefters. If Perot hadn’t been in Clinton’s first race, Bill probably wouldn’t have won. And I believe it was the image of Howard Dean on stage with Rob Reiner and Martin Sheen–and not any “scream”–that doomed him. Now, with Bobo, the party has so marginalized itself that it’s headed for oblivion. Hillary is the only viable Presidential candidate it has left, and she will give us one more chance in 2012. The Dems MUST move to the middle and jettison the cultural far left.

Carter wasn’t INVITED to play a part at the Barackolopolis Coronation. No center role, as befitting a senior party member, no podium time.

Can’t have the oldest living Democratic President upstaging the anointed one, after all, can we, now?

Carter, a weak President, has made his reputation in his post-Presidential career. He’s respected around the world, and because of that, he couldn’t be allowed to steal any thunder from the BoyKing–the BoyKing wants it all for himself–it’s why he just HAD to step on Biden’s night, too, and not wait for his day at the fair.

  • Steve-O

Can anybody please explain to me in plain English, why this guy ever got the title “orator”???

Flat voice, sleepworking his “speech”, repetitions, false starts, lack of enthusiasm, emotion, conviction and wit.

That tha that that the game…

Gimme a break, this guy can’t even deliver his stump without help!

Try imagine Clinton on that stage!!!

  • Steve-O

If you can’t say it in plain English, try broken English, French, Latin or German… but try to make me understand… please?

    CONSTANTLY bashing Carter?

I’m here every day, I don’t see that. Carter isn’t the central focus of discussion here, though, because he, like Bill Clinton, is NOT RUNNING.

    I think you’re being hypersensitive.

  • Leisa

    Wow, Mimi.

As usual, you have thoughtful and brilliant insights. Your comments here are wonderfully written.

    Thanks for sharing.

You don’t understand the meaning of regulation, apparently. You’d be paying a thousand bucks for a coach seat from Pittsburgh to Bermuda, and your cable bill would be cruising towards three hundred a month under regulation.

Regulation stifles competition. That’s not good for the consumer’s bottom line.

If you say anything less than “The Messiah Cometh” when referring to His Majesty, you are a bigot.

At least in the heads of the cultists…

Trump had endorsed and strongly supported HRC.

It’s not just Mrs. de Rothschild…it’s a shitload of big money donors, and their big money friends.

You know how Bush used to call the wealthy his base? Well, the Democrats had a base just like that, situated on both coasts. The East Coast has apparently refused the Kool Aid.

What, the professors were trying to teach you and your other Obot pals, and you call that torture?

That’s another thing about Obots, they are uninterested in their own history.

  • Perry Logan

You’ve been hanging around with wingers too much.

People in Europe have free health care and six-week annual vacations. Better that than our “booming” economy—where everybody works three jobs.

The economy is in the crapper because the Republicans gained control of the government in 2000 and began to take apart the New Deal.

And if you don’t like socialism, please get off my sidewalk. ;-)

  • http://! Clinton Fan

You don’t think the National Health “decides” who gets treatment?

They do. People who play that “sunshine and roses” bullshit about socialized health care need to wake the fuck up.

It’s simply a substitution of one bunch of assholes for another–private assholes are supplanted by government assholes–and the bottom line is still the bottom line.

I lost a good friend to heart disease because of the NHS. They “decided” that his bypass operation could wait; there was a LINE, you see. While he was waiting, he had a massive coronary and croaked.

Had he had the money to go to Harley Street, he’d likely still be here today.

  • Perry Logan

FUN FACT: the lifespan of Canadians used to be the same as ours. Since they got a universal health care system, their lives are now a year longer than us.

Private enterprise has utterly failed to attend to our health needs. Thousands of people die every year because we don’t have a health care system. They died because of Republicans.

  • Perry Logan

That’s easy to refute. The inner cities in the rest of the industrialized world—where governments are far more socialist than ours—are in far better shape than ours.

  • ex-Dem

that makes two of us ex-Dems, Bob. And I am a cousin of Al Gore!
I have always put country first although I have always voted Democratic until now. Now I see both parties are the same, but I feel McCain and Palin are real reformers. The real deal if you will.
I saw right through Obama from the start!

  • http://! Clinton Fan

He has what is close to a passionate sexual relationship with any speech on a teleprompter, that’s why he’s called an orator–you can put the phone book up there, and he’ll deliver it like it’s “I HAVE A DREAM.”

The only problem is, the “I HAVE A DREAM” schtick is the ONLY SCHTICK the guy has got.

Take away the teleprompter, though, and he’s an inarticulate ass.

Hell, even that bad actor Reagan could emote on a “Hellcats of the Navy” level, or a “Bedtime for Bonzo” level, or even win one for the Gipper, if the scene called for it. And he could manage it with a three by five card in his palm, with a few notes on it. With early onset Altzheimer’s.

Obama is stuck on one style of oration–and when heard, over and over again, it’s no longer that “fierce urgency” nonsense–it’s closer to WHINING, HECTORING and COMPLAINING. Over, and over, and OVER again. Waaaah, waaaah, waaaah….they’re being MEAN to me! That’s all he seems to say, lately!

I’m just so sick of the guy. I really wish he’d tone it the fuck down. He’s a total schmuck.
