Coming Out Of The Woodwork

About what happened to the Hillary Delegates back in 2008. I guess it’s better late than never, though the damage Obama has done to this country is immeasurable. I imagine we know only the tip of the iceberg at this point – the Nancy Pelosi philosophy of finding out just what has been done after the votes have been cast.

Yes, people are speaking out now about what machinations ensued at the Democratic (sic) National Convention. Here are Gloria Allred and Alma Sanford, along with an anonymous delegate, speaking out about the way the Obama Campaign and the DNC stole the election from Hillary Rodham Clinton:

I think the days of the Democratic Party being Democratic are long, long, gone. I appreciate Ms. Allred’s sentiment and all, but the party she thought she knew no longer exists, at least as far as I am concerned. It made that abundantly clear May 31, 2008.

And here we are, getting ready for yet another election. What are the Democrats doing? Throwing lavish parties for one of their House representatives who had had a number of ethics violations levied against him. Oh, yes, that would be Charlie Rangel with his big birthday bash at the Plaza. That will sure show him, won’t it? Sheesh. Oh, sure, Obama is making some CYA rumblings about Rangel being old and wishing he could end his career with dignity, but it is way too late for that already, isn’t it? But that party for him is still going forward, and the numbers of Democrats expressing concern can be counted on two hands. Way to make clear the Party’s priorities, DNC, especially around ETHICS.

Then there is Maxine Waters with her current Ethics charges. She already has been under scrutiny by some of us for the direction in which she wants to take the country, but these charges are concrete indicators of how she does business. Waters and Rangel both, I should say.

And that’s just it – the DNC has made its priorities clear, and it is not to represent the will of the voter, and certainly not to conduct business in an ethical manner. Maybe this has been going on for a while, but never was it so blatant as 2008. Voter fraud, caucus fraud, false charges of racism – yep, ethics do not seem high on the DNC list, unless it is a way to violate more of them.

I hope the voters send THEM a clear message in 2010 that we do care about people’s behavior. We do care how the parties conduct themselves, and how their leaders conduct themselves. And, assuming our votes actually count, that we can make that clear in the polling place in 2010, and beyond.

Ethics do matter. It’s high time the Democrats, and Republicans, too, act like it.

  • Touchet

So sad.  Oh yes, it will happen again because it was allowed to happen in the first place.

Just like all the registration problems where anybody could come in off the street to vote.

Democracy has been over for a long time.  Its mafia politics.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Touchet, I fear you are right…

This should have been the main focus for the PUMAs to get a national voter manditory ID law enacted and also to do away with the caucus system nationwide.  I am all for all primary states, no caucuses, period!

  • getfitnow

I remember seeing a clip of Ms Allred saying that she might as well go home. She was livid. Bu the dems were so busy building the greek stage for That One’s “historic” acceptance speech, ning. nobody had time for such details. It’s sicke

I’m a conservative Republican and never was a fan of the Clintons. I did feel  sorry for Hillary when she got shafted at the DNC by not even being able to acknowledge the votes to show how close it was despite the way she was treated by the classless, mysoginist poseur that occupies the Whitehouse.
They are trying to do that with the electoral college right now, following the plan of putting in Democrat secretaries of state in as many states as possible to “oversee” the elections.
I really thought the PUMAs were going to save our bacon and …you let me down.
I hope I don’t have to re-think my whole “Hispanic Catholics will save us from the Muslims”…

, , . Two commas and a period. Please feel free to insert them above.

These thugs are going to steal the election again.  If Democrats keep the house you know somethings wrong.  The country despises Obama.  I don’t believe the polls at least most of them.  Scott R was called into the White House when Obama hit -22 never happened again.  Do you trust the polls?

  • sowsear

I would like to see open primaries eliminated. Also it would be good if there were some agreement in all states on when and how a person can change party affiliation.
Last election, changing party for a day was ridiculous.

  • sowsear

    Democrat secretaries of state

Soros had that plan in effect last election.

  • sowsear

    Only Rasmussen.

  • sowsear

Only Rasmussen. It did hit -20 yesterday, I believe. His polls are consistently below other polls.

R3A, the next article I am posting, which I have been assembling for some time, will explain the last piece of the fraud that stole the 2008 election, which explains what happened at the Convention.  FYI, in August of 2008, I was on the phone with another grass roots activist who managed to get on the floor of the Convention, assuring her that CA was one of the 13 (thirteen) states I dubbed “vote binding states.”  These states enacted laws binding the pledged delegates elected in state primary and caucus contests, to vote for the candidate voters elected them to represent, on at least the first round of votes at the Convention.  (Ms. Allred mistakenly identifies only 10 such states and incorrectly says the DNC Call (rules of delegate conduct at the Convention) instructs delegates to vote according to these state laws.  No, it does not; it only says, use your “good conscience.”)

Here is a message I posted on the PUMA PAC blog on August 14, 2008, nearly 2 (two) weeks before the Convention, typical of my efforts to impress upon the blog owner and readers, these pledged delegates from vote binding states were the key to winning the nomination.  (This was before I set up my own blog.)  I tried unsuccessfully to persuade the blog owner to post this prowl I had set up to notify A’sG in vote binding states that BO’s people were pressuring HRC pledged delegates to switch before the Convention, thus enticing them to break the law.  I asked these A’sG to intervene.

    Texas Tigress,
Nothing sent to the head of the state party will accomplish the goal of protecting the pledged delegates inasmuch as 1) you are asking the oppressor to stop oppressing; and 2) the pledged delegate in jeopardy does not know you have her back. We have to get to the actual delegate; and she has to be willing to report the illegal conduct either through a “Cease and Desist” letter to the state  party; or notice to the S of S. And everything needs to be copied to the press.Coercing pledged delegates to violate state law is really big. (This is different from the scenario described in Heidi Li’s link, wherein Chicago is pressuring these delegates to disclose their votes in advance.) Like, if this is a DNC directed campaign to get the state parties to exert this pressure to switch allegiances, on pledged delegates who are required by law to support their candidates, we’re talking RICO-type conspiracy. This is FBI territory.

Finally, I was put in touch with Ricki Lieberman who, along with Alegre’s Corner began posting my work on vote binding states, just before the start of the Convention; but this was too little, too late.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

You said it, Getfitnow.  That damn Greek stage of his – just had to have it as he was crowned emperor…

Here’s the thing – if it is illegal in at least 10 states to NOT vote the way the people voted, doesn’t that make the nomination illegal from the get-go?

Personally I think the charges against Rangel and Waters are small potatoes;  if the Democrats want to clean up their act Pelose, Reid and Obama should be facing charges.  Obama doesn’t like old people and HRC has been getting way too much good press so go after her supporters.  I hope that these charges about the election fraud can gain some traction.  We are not a banana republic and such behavior should not be allowed.

NEVER LESS THAN a TREASON (1 of 22 of 2) and .  I also mention this work in my latest article, PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE  YOUR MOUTH IS.

I believe it’s thirteen States, including California and Illinois, and only in the first round of voting at the Convention. None of them cast votes in that wonderful first round of voting, and of course, well, you know the rest…….

It is not small potatoes when, if not the most powerful, one of the most powerful committee chairmen has 13 charges to anwser to.

Pelosi had one thing right. The swamp that is DC needs to be drained. I agree with you. Those 3  need to go. But I will take what I can get, one by one.

And by the way, I don’t care if they supported Hillary. If you’re wrong, you’re wrong. Let them go to trial and prove otherwise.

The president said that instead of helping him and Democrats push for healthcare and financial regulatory reform, Republicans are “betting on amnesia.
“That’s what they’re counting on,” Obama told a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in Atlanta. “They’re counting on that you all forgot. They think that they can run the okey-doke on you. Bamboozle you.”

Yes, many of you did a lot of work trying to keep the election fair and clean.
This is the computer age shouldn’t some of these processes have been simplified by now?   I can hear the yelling at me, but those old time pol. Conventions use a lot of tax money and are still like the old time Conventions.  Maybe better to give that money for tv debates or something or federal matching fun so mapossibly an Independent would have a chance.  Just sayin’.  What are the ramificatons of dumping the Electoral College and ending up with a better Pres, than the  $700M puppet  Obame-me-me?  Also, maybe regional primaries rather than Iowa , New Hampshire getting more attention and weight than warranted?

Obama and the obamacrats are the ones betting on amnesia.  They are hoping that the voters will not remember the disaster that they have made of the first 2 years of Obama’s reign.

PUMAs have worked hard.  We haven’t let anyone down.  But we don’t own the keys to the castle, and we  won’t have leverage to get over the moat until the elections put the then-minority dems in a position in which they’re willing to listen to us.

By the way Teak, I sent that long post you did the other night asking if someone could explain the math…to my niece who is a college math teacher with a Dr’s degree in higher math. NASA offered her a job after she graduated, too.

Alex, Electors, and delegates at the nominating conventions of the major political parties, have nothing to do with each other.  Amending the Constitution to eliminate the role of Electors (in evening out the political clout among more or less populous states) is contraindicated by the express intent of our Founders and the Drafters of our Constitution.

jbjd – I made my whole family go to Denver to protest what was happening.  We all marched and epithets were directed by us all over the streets of Denver.  It was a harrowing experience, but it was an object lesson for our teenager on how not to believe everything you hear and check the source for yourself.  We were so hoping that it would be obvious how corrupted the Democratic party had become and were truly shocked that a roll call vote was being so vigorously quashed.  It’s been very hard on us since then to see just own owned democracy in this country is — in the hands of so few people.  Literally, less than a room full of people.  I hate the media for what they’ve done to this country.  I regret saying this and I’ll ask for forgiveness later — but the whole damned lot of them can go straight to hell.  If anyone has the info on this I’d like to see it — I have no knowledge of a convention in which there was such potential for a candidate in which there was no divided vote at least on the first ballot.  In this case, there was no ballot voting at all.

In an effort to appease delegates pledged to Hillary Clinton, the 2008 Dem Nat’l Conv adopted a resolution to name a Dem Change Commission to recommend changes to the 2012 Presidential Nominating Process.  In March 2009 Gov Tim Kaine, new Chairman of the DNC announced a 37-member Change Commission, saying, ”This Commission will focus on reform that improves the presidential nominating process to put voters first and ensure that as many people as possible can participate.”

Gov Kaine didn’t mention the 3 most important issues in the adopted resolution:  1) changing the window of time during which primaries and caucuses may be held.  2) reducing the number of super delegates and 3) improving the caucus system.
In addition, he announced the co-chairs of this commission - Congressman James Clyburn of SC and Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri.  Rep Clyburn has Hillary’s blood on his hands and was a major force in dismantling her candidacy – the biggest race-baiter in 0′s campaign, second only to Jesse Jackson, Jr.  Claire McCaskill’s senate seat is in grave danger with one of the reasons being, she became an 0bama hack.  Remember, this was to appease Hillary’s delegates who were demanding something be done.

I googled most of the 37 members of the commission.  100% of them are die-hard 0bama supporters and heavy contributors for him who are members of his “Organizing for America” election and now re-election campaign.  One of the members is none other than David Plouffe, 0bama’s campaign manager.  Another member is Alexis Herman, Chairwoman of the Rules and Bylaws Committee who teamed up with Donna Brazile on May 29, 2008 to derail any further possibility for Hillary’s candidacy.

The commission issued it’s report and recommendations to the **Rules and Bylaws Committee** of the DNC in January 2012 – the same committee that took delegates from Hillary (disenfranchising over 600,000 Michigan voters) and gave them to 0bama whose name was not even on the Michigan ballot.  Not only did these voters have the opportunity to vote for Hillary they had the choice of voting for “Uncommitted”.

At the first meeting of the change commission, Chairman Clyburn was quoted as saying, “I don’t see any reason to change the caucus system because it has worked well and helped elect one of the greatest POTUS this country has ever had.”

They all made sure nothing would change so that in 2012 they are set to use this same process, repeating this disgustingly fraudulent system just as they did in 2008.

Somehow, some way, we have got to make sure this does not happen in 2012.

  • FranSC

What a harrowing and yet inspiring story.  Your teenager must be so proud of you; s/he could npt have received a better civics lesson. When we couldn’t make it to Denver, my teenage son said, ‘That’s okay; we can rabble rouse from home!’

A2, it is still so hard to take, huh.  It never gets better.  Only, I don’t hate the press.  After all, you and your family managed to obtain sufficient information to ‘know better’ when it came to BO.  In fact, I blame me.  If I had known as much about the political process in 2007 as I came to know in 2008; I would not have waited nearly two weeks for the owner of a blog to post my proposed action project on vote binding states, the project which I still believe could have turned the nomination.  And I would have already set up my own blog to spread the word.

As is the RNC. Both parties only care about winning. When voters are more interested in helping their “team” win than finding out the facts or voting for the best person no matter what letter follows their name we get what we’ve got. Partisanship trumps patriotism.

Now that we are seeing up close and all too clearly what the corrupt Democratic Party leadership inflicted on us and our country it’s time to stop the bickering and just start caring about the country. Not some damn corrupt party!

Time to end this “Reign of Error” by the incompetent twit in the White House and the people that put him there.

Love the way Oblablah constantly accuses the Republicans of having no new ideas and then out of the other side of his mouth he condemns the ideas they put forth.

Paul Ryan is full of ideas and has been trying to get them considered for over a year. I’m not saying that I like all his ideas, I’m just saying, he has them.

The GOP leadership regards Ryan with a jaundiced eye because they are afraid the Dems will use his stringent ideas against them. And they will. But Ryan faces reality and that is seldom a popular thing.

Would someone care to speculate what the outcome would have been if Hillary had gone kicking and screaming into the night?  What we’re discussing here is nothing less than the destruction of the Democratic party as we knew it.  Chould she have stopped it, even if it brought her own career to an end?  Should she?

    http://www.wewillnotbesilenced2008.com/

The Clinton campaign knew this was going on and even complained and asked for investigation by DNC-no response.  That is why I cannot respect HRC for taking a post in his administration.  They trashed her and then stole the primary from her then she went to work for him.  A person must have self respect and character above all else.  HRC has displayed neither.  Very unfortunate.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thank you for this, FranSC.  I remember Obama coming out saying he wanted to change the caucus system, blah, blah, blah.  Yeah, right.  As  you so ably pointed out, it will be a cold day in hell before they change the way things are done when they have learned so well how to corrupt the process.

“Democratic” should be nowhere near the name of this party.  Shameful, and dare I say it, sinful…

KZnextzone, you said…I really thought the PUMAs were going to save our bacon and …you let me down.” Well, where the hell were you when the democratic process was being subverted? Did you stand up and say something about your fellow Americans getting skunked by the Democratic party? So you are a conservative, so what?? Perhaps you should have done something other than sit on your ass waiting for a bunch of PUMAs to save the country. My suggestion to you is that you get off your conservative ass and do something about it instead of expecting others to do it for you. Imagine the impact it would have if the conservatives protested the caucus fraud and the coercion of delegates on the grounds that it subverts the political process for all Americans. Perhaps then it would be addressed and corrected. We PUMAs are 18 million strong, but we can’t do it alone. How about some help from the audience? Get involved and do something instead of sitting on your ass and complaining that enough wasn’t done about the situation. After all, the subversion of the political process affects all Americans, we all got stuck with the poseur in the White House because of it. So get involved and do something besides complain that others didn’t do enough.

Of all the polls, I’ve trusted Rasmussen most in the past.  It would be depressing as hell to find out that one’s compromised, too.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

I think 2008 was a lesson for most of us.  Had anyone said to us in 2007 that this kind of thing could, WOULD, happen by Democrats, we would have laughed ourselves silly, and told them they had been listening to too much Limbaugh, or someone similar.  We simply could not have known how corrupt the DNC had become.

And many of us did speak up, and speak out quickly – we could see how Hillary Clinton was being treated by the DNC and the media.  We saw the collusion between the race card being played oin Bill and Hill by the Obama campaign, the media, and Democratic politicians (think Jim Clyburn, for example).  We saw how staged the debates were – Hillary gets the hard questions which she has to answer in full, to which Obama replies, “Ditto,” then gets some softball question like what kind of ice cream he likes (not that specific, but you get the idea).

How could we have dreamed that the Party we loved, to which we had belonged for YEARS, could be so unethical, scheming, duplicitous, cheating, theiving, and MISOGYNISTIC?

Clearly, this affects many of us still – we loved this party, we gave a lot to this party, and it turned out to be, as said above, a party of a few people speaking for the millions, but not listening to what the millions of us were saying.

And Abigail – wow – GOOD FOR YOU for taking your child to the Convention, and speaking out.  I hope you wrote down your experiences, or if you didn’t then, would now, and share it with us.

We cannot forget, we cannot allow the DNC to continue to pull this kind of chicanery, subterfuge, downright theft of our votes.  Never again.  Never.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thanks, Katmoon!  :)   I was away for a week with my old boarding school chum who got me into blogging in the first place.  So blame her!  Teehee!

Good to *see* you, too, as always!  I hope you, Ferd, and your children are all well.  (One thing abt traveling, you see a whole lot of young people in uniform – I keep you, Ferd, and AmryMom in mind, as well as others in my family who are serving, and getting ready to deploy…)

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

That’s just t, Creeper – the Democratic Party as we knew it WAS destroyed, but not by Hillary or her supporters.  Rather, it wsa destroyed by Obama and HIS supproters who broke all the rules, lied, cheated, and stole votes lawfully cast.

Yes, as noted below, Hillary DID inform the DNC of the rampant caucus fraud and other voting problems to no avail.  Her attorneys sent out packets of info to the DNC, but the DNC refused to do anything, giving tacit and implicit permission to the Obama campaign that they could steal votes with impunity, and they did, all the way through the Convention.

Yes, the Party has been destroyed – by the DNC itself.

To KZnextzone, I am a fiscal/ homeland defense /anti- ILLEGAL immigration conservative Republican who is fine with Gay Marriage… I have made comments in this forum as a guest several times and have been reciprocated with the utmost respect.

I have admiration for the PUMA’s, they did their best to expose Obama for his fraud and egregious past friendships, but it was our fellow conservatives who let us down. I did my best to get them out to vote for McCain, but my guess is they stayed home but pretended otherwise because of the same blind fierce ideology.

We need to pull together now more than ever. Today’s RCP site said the Republicans could possibly pick up far more than 42 seats. I hope, we will see a refreshing new breed of young Republicans who reflect and observe the will and needs of the voter, not special interest. Both parties needed the wake up call.

Let this country heal and move forward together for the sake of posterity!

Rev Amy, Now that just sounds like a whole lot of fun; I’m glad you had a buddy get you into blogging, you are one of the main reasons I came to this site a few years ago, I appreciate what you write, and I know some of it has not been easy, so I am selfish I miss reading you when you aren’t here! Just know that your passion and caring gives me a place to go as a safe harbor.

We are alright but the pressure you could say is mounting. They took down the 101st colors last week, so here we go anytime now. The abay of course has no clue, but the 3 year old will be very upset when he doesn’t see Daddy come home from work everyday. The kids put a world map up, and had a talk with him the other day, telling him Daddy was going to go to help Ironman(his current favorite hero type). A three year old just doesn’t have the concept of a year away from his Daddy(hell I have trouble with it). I am staying strong, and am going to be living with my daughter-in-law for the year, looking for a job there still(any prayers on the employment front are appreciated). I did get the offer for the Supreme Court job, but I had to refuse it due to the wage, now I know in these times that sounds crazy but with 100 mile roundtrip commute from the post the wage put me below minimum wage, not to mention the wear and tear on the car and insurance increase for mileage. Like I have said before I would rather work local, be it as a motel maid, because at least that cash is in my pocket, not in gas. I have applied for Civilian jobs on psot, so I am waiting to see if I get some nibbles. Ferd is good, and supportive of me being away, but you know I just miss him. We decided awhile back that we had to forgo our comfort to ensure the younger family have someone in place to help, lend a hand, be there so not alone at night, etc. I have been journaling this time, as an “Anatomy of a Deployment”, it helps keeps me sane, and also keeps me in check emotionally to see if I amkeeping myself healthy, preventing depression or further stress. Anyways, so happy to see you too! And so happy to see everyone here writing and keeping on, keeping on. :-D   The comfort of the known.

Touchet, Democracy is alive and striving (helas!), it’s the Republic which is dying. Please get the terms and definitions straight.

RRRA, I am not surprised the Convention and Primaries horror stories are finally coming up to the mainstrean’s (FOX) attention, as I always say: sh*&(t floats. It always surfaces.

But what is and has always bothered me is the timing. 2008 did not happened all the sudden. The Obama camps were in place in Spring 2007, that means the logistics were in the plans at least in 2006. Who had heard of Obama in 2006? Who was already financing him then with such monumental amounts of money. Where did that money come from? And how come that the Clintons were so blindsided?

An organization of that magnitude (Obama Camps, bussing of outside thugs during the early caucusses and so on) with NOBODY talking, that’s professional organizing, that’s a LOT of money, hence a LOT of power.

Have you notice that NO account of “I went to an Obama Camp and here is my story” ever surfaced? Not one… Who has the power to select such loyalists and to keep them that happy or scared?

  • Michelle

I was a life long Democrat until this election fraud of 08, I am now Tea Party-PUMA-anti-corrupt Democrat. The best thing to happen to the Dem Party of Obama/Reid/Pelosi is to fall into the abyss and never darken any one’s door steps again. Many crimes have been committed. Enforce the law, end of problem. No Dem. former or current should donate a penny to these thieves, you would just enable them to commit more crimes. They took a calculated risk by stealing the convention and other election frauds, they have been caught, now is the time they will face the piper. Too many people know about all of this and they are still screaming bloody murder as they have been since summer of 08.

Replying to my own post, I just read some very interesting facts about the early O’s backers at New Zeal. (This guy is doing an amazing job!). The picture emerging is VERY disturbing.

This is amazing Fran.  Thanks for digging that all up.  Not that any of us who watched them manipulate every detail are the least bit surprised but it does still slap us in the face as we watch them prepare to hijack again and again.

They must be stopped.  They MUST not get away with this.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Katmoon, you honor me deeply with your kinds words.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart, which you have most definitely touched…Thank you, friend.

I am still processing the rest of your comment – wow, what an amazing decision on yours and Ferd’s parts for you to be with the younger family at this difficult time.  That kind of sacrifice is incredible – your children are so lucky to have parents like you both.

Absolutely, lots of prayers your way for a job.  I do understand abt the Supreme Ct one.  I imagine it would have been fairly time consuming, in addition to not paying well.  I have no doubt something else will come along that will keep you on post, or close by.

Your journal sounds amazing.  It is hard to imagine living without someone for a year, especially for the kids.  My nieces have done it (one’s husband was a West Point grad, Captain, and Blackhawk helo pilot, two tours in Iraq, and another is in the Marines, returning to the theater this Fall, with 4 small children at home).  But that kind of stress is hard for the rest of us to even grasp, especially where small children are involved.  Please know we are here for you, welcome your sharing what is going on with the family, and as always, thank you, Ferd, your children and families, for their service to this country.

Again, thank you for your loving comment, Katmoon – it means a lot to me!

18 million Pumas would have made a huge impact.  Unfortunately, half of the  Hillary voters did not oppose obama, they merely preferred Hillary.  As soon as she was gone they switched over to him and gave him their full support.  AFSCME was pro-Hill and turned pro-bama overnight, for example.

There weren’t that many PUMA’s and we certainly had no organized mass protests.  A few ads, tv spots and blogs weren’t enough.   Puma was ridiculed when representatives did appear on TV on Fox by Hannity, Cavuto etc. and Rendell etc. were out to smear us too.  The DNC wrote us off as lunatics and fringe.  The blogs called us all kinds of horrible names.  We didn’t have numbers.

  • candymarl red bone cracker

Great John Kerry. So we continue to blame Bush. Then what? What are you going to do to solve the problems? Is that going to be the democrat party’s theme this election cycle? Blame Bush?  If that’s the best they have the dems are in trouble.

Obama himself said he could heal the planet, stop the wars, lower the oceans (paraphrasing here).  When you place yourself that high on a pedestal you better deliver.

  • ~~Justme~~

Deliver us from all evil??? ;) At this rate he couldn’t deliver the mail!

  • FLDemFem

Yeah, and 18 mos. into his presidency, they are back asking for Hillary in full force. And they brought a lot of the former Obots with them! The hardest part about this turn-around is biting the inside of my cheek to keep from saying, “I told you so!”

  • Alex

jbjd, you assume I don’t know some things.
What I am suggessting is that maybe these old 1900 something conventions are no longer necessary or best for the country.

The Boomers should have figured out some better ways to do some things by now instead of what they did along the way.

Have same views re Congr., governance, court processes etc.  Should have been pruned and streamlined also by now.

  • Katmoon

Sometimes it is nice to know you are appreciated Rev. Amy, and you are, you give alot of time to us here, and I love your blogging kind of ministry, it works, and further(though you may not realize) it teaches. These are the writings and sharing that keep us all trying and more positive than we would be in times that are very difficult for everyone.
I am sorry to hear your Niece’s husband is going back again, bless them and will keep them in my prayers. He has seen some tours, quite an amazing bio.

I think we all whether military or not learn to live with certain stressors other’s may never experience; I like to believe that God gave me some fairly large shoulders for strength of family, knees that bend fairly easy when I need some help, and a back that can bend, but has been honed to being selective on what it will bend for.
Take care friend, and keep up ypur good works!

R3A:  My diary is my email.  Like many of you, I was working 20 hours a day at the height of the primaries — on the phone or on email — trying to get to the bottom of who was behind what.  I spent days leading up to the convention, phoning our state delegates, superdels and trying to keep my ear to the pipeline as it tapped out its messages.  Wasn’t it exhausting?  I posted and handed out flyers trying to alert people to what was coming down at the convention.  Friends put up signs every day only to have an obot take them down again within hours.  Don’t we all remember how vicious barry’s supporters were?  They’d stop at nothing.  There was no water’s edge for them.  No line they wouldn’t cross — and gleefully.  We knew we were in for it, that democracy had died a silent death behind the absence of any news coverage of what was really happening out here in the real world.  I even corresponded with Lowell Bergman (remember the investigational journalist with 60 Minutes who broke the Brown/Williamson tobacco story?).  I pleaded with him to take up an investigation of the deafening silence on barry’s past, ACORN, MediaMatters, SEIU, etc.  His response:  “I don’t cover politics.”  I have all the emails.  We all remember 5/31/08, the genesis of PUMA, the overwhelming evidence of fraud and the suspension of truth — even the desire for truth was gone from the Democratic party.  And remember the watchword was “pragmatic”, code for “We just gotta have a Democrat in the White House!”  This is really hard to take.  I’ve served this country in uniform — I’m a “Live Free or Die” patriot.  I didn’t realize the Democrats think that’s a lot of corn and patriotic pelaver and that I’m a schmuck.  In the face of all this, it’s hard to have hope that this country’s best days are still to come–but hope, I must.  And in the meantime I’ve gotta keep my boots on and keep going.  As must we all.

And it all started because I had a week of free time back in May, ’08 and really did want to simply give my teen a chance to see what grass roots democracy was all about.  Between that and the convention, she met her two favorite film/T.V. stars and President Clinton (and not just a handshake and a photo op).  But, that’s another story…

  • AbigailAdams

jbjd:  Don’t be too hard on yourself for not having a completely clear crystal ball.  What happened to us was being hoodwinked by a woman named Elizabeth (whose last name I cannot recall).  Now, there’s a story.  In the early days of PUMA’s reaction to 5/31, this Elizabeth person started a group called “18 Milliion Voices” — you may have heard of it.  What became increasingly apparent, is that she was siphoning-off PUMAs to her (I now believe to be) phony “cause” in order to turn their energy and votes to the Democratic party under the guise of “celebrating” HRC’s “historic” candidacy.  Interestingly enough, guess who marched the streets of Denver with her?  Gloria Allred.  Uh hu.  I’d have liked to be present on that phone call between Elizabeth and Gloria and understand how that all went down, because it was quite obvious to me, anyway, that Elizabeth knew all along that she was being dishonest with the hundreds of people, nation-wide, who sincerely believed 18 Million Voices was about demanding an honest roll call vote — not a foil for delivering votes to barry.  Is it possible Allred was also bamboozled?  Quite possibly.  So, I’m very interested in whether Allred is merely being an opportunistic talking head now in support of the We Will Not be Silenced group, or if she has sincere regret for her alliance with Elizabeth’s 18 Million Voices.

This is the kind of stuff that went down prior to the convention.  There may have been a reason the blog owner wouldn’t post your information immedidately.  There were a number of people posing as outraged PUMAs whose end game was all about continuing support of the Dems, because “We just gotta have a Democrat in the White House!”  In hindsight, I’m not even sure they realized what they were doing or the terrible impact their actions would have.

  • csuzeq

Nobama4me, it has been said that Republicans stayed home, but sometimes I wonder if some votes weren’t made to disappear.  There is no Republican I know who was willing to have an Obama win, even the ones who didn’t like McCain and didn’t think he was conservative enough.  Those who didn’t like McCain sure as hell wouldn’t want an Obama instead.  How can we really know votes didn’t disappear?  The election was called pretty damn early for Obama as I recall.

  • kenoshamarge

The Democratic Party cannot heal and/or cleanse itself until the corrupt POS that forced Oblahblah down our throats are ousted. I have no hope that Pelosi’s liberal district will ever oust her lying, sorry ass but if we get enough Republicans elected she’ll lose the Speaker’s gavel and that’s a lot.

Not saying that having Boehner is a big improvement but perhaps he’s smart enough, just, to listen. Perhaps watching the Dems crash and burn will encourage that listening.

  • Doc99

That’s why they want amnesty … lots more Undocumented Democrats.

  • Katmoon

But remember kenoshamarge if the Dems lose the house in November, Mz P loses the gavel! Can you imagine the face! >:o

  • EllenD

Yes, and Gloria represented a primary state – not a caucus state. The message from California was loud anf clear – we wanted Hillary.

  • EllenD

Katmoon, whatever the sacrifices I am making pales against yours. This is a terrible terrible time, and I wish you Godspeed.

  • EllenD

FrenchNail you have a good question but I don’t think the Socialists are the answer.
    Who else?

  • AbigailAdams

jbjd:  This is a link with a picture of Elizabeth Feichter — the one who soft-peddled her ideologies until they could no longer be hidden from view.  This is why I suspect Allred is just a publicity-seeking opportunist and should be held at arm’s length.  She’s a celebrity lawyer who is sullying any credibility she may have earned and We Will Not Be Silenced should use real people to make their case.  She will do nothing to advance them and us.  I think it’s really “all about” her.  Elizabeth fancies herself a “political operative” and I think this was really all about her building her political operative resume for the Democratic party.  Too bad people don’t give off a funny smell or something to alert the rest of us.

EllenD, There are socialists and SOCIALISTS. The ones in question are hard core Marxists calling themselves socialists. And there are the Saudis. And there is the Intelligence community. (It is Larry who said about two years ago, that to the eye of anybody in the Intelligence community, it was obvious that O was one of them). I think that O is rooted in the all of those milieus. hardcore marxist, of Mulsim root and early childhood, having being exposed to the intelligence community by his mother or even having worked for it.

  • Nobama4me

csuzeq: I wouldn’t put anything past the current crop of dims, but I don’t think you can “disappear” 7million votes. That is the gap between Obama and McCain final tally.(62million against 55million roughly). Counter that with the over 62 million votes Dubya had against Kerry (at 59 million) and you see that huge numbers(probably record numbers) of republicans stayed home on election day. By the way, GW who was very unpopular in 2004 among dems and ind. got almost the same number of votes that Obamba had.

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thank you for this, AA.  And yes, I most definitely remember how vicious the Obots were (are).  Those of us who voiced our opposition to Obama remember all too well…

Oh, how I remember those days of contacting delegates and superdelegates, believing that it might actually make a difference.  Sigh.

You’re right, though, AA, as you said to jbjd – we cannot fault ourselves for our cloudy crystal balls.  No one could see the extent of their rule breaking, thuggish, thieving ways.  If we could have, we surely would not have called ourselves Democrats…

  • Rabble Rouser Rev. Amy

Thanks, Katmoon.  I truly appreciate your saying so…

My niece whose husband is going back in the Fall was on tv several years ago with the Daddy dolls.  I imagine she’ll be needing som enew ones for the 4 kids this go-round, too…

I absolutely LOVE your description of yourself.  Beautifully said – and so true.  Your family is blessed to have you, Katmoon!

Excellent point, French Nail.  How IS it that this complete unknown, who beat Alan Keyes at the last minute, was able to run for Prez 100 days into his FIRST Senate term without being laughed off the stage?  Something was going on, to be sure.

Even Charlie Cook is predicting a tidalwave. I like some of the new GOPers. They’re young, various races; most come with private sector experience and understand how important the private sector is to a growing economy; touting fiscal conservatism. And it looks like the ew mama grizzlies are going to be the backbone of the new GOP.

I’m an independent; always have been, and will remain. But I am supporting every R that’s running against the D’s that supposedly represent me. I’m not crazy about all the R’s I plan to work for and support across the country, but none of them represent “danger ahead.” as far as I’m concern.

And there are several ranking committee members that can’t wait to let the subpoenas fly! And if That One or other dems ask why, I hope a GOPer (preferably a mama grizzly) says: WE WON!! :-P

“Chairman Clyburn was quoted as saying, “I don’t see any reason to change the caucus system because it has worked well and helped elect one of the greatest POTUS this country has ever had.”

Someone should have said to him, “Yes, it did. But this is not about Bill Clinton’s election, it’s about Obama’s. Bet that would have shut him up in a hurry!!!

  • AbigailAdams

R3A — The thing is, it should have made the difference.  We just didn’t believe the theft of the democratic process that took place and the extent of the rot.  If there was a way to take these stories into the American heartland and cities, there would still be those diehards who would never believe it happened.  It’s not that it’s never happened before — in fact it has been worse.  It’s that it’s not supposed to be happening in our oh-so-enlightened times.  My husband just pointed out that the average cell phone has more computing and communications power than was used on the first Apollo mission.  Why then are we so powerless to know what is really going on in this country?  There’s only one explanation and that is because there are people who want to destory it.

  • FLDemFem

I looked up swamp monsters and found some interesting stuff.. does the first pic look like Pelosi?? That grin looks very familiar. And the second one pretty much covers the rest of Congress, leeches all of them.

  • FLDemFem

Bush doesn’t seem to like it either!! O:-)

  • FLDemFem

He beat Alan Keyes because Keyes was a last-minute fill-in for the candidate that withdrew. Wiki has this on the subject..remember Obama’s methods are sleazy and underhanded.

Despite opposition in the Primary Election from tough challenger Blair Hull, Hull would collapse after pressure from journalists unsealed his divorce files, with Obama taking 54% of the vote. Following his victory, Obama squared off against Republican Jack Ryan, who ultimately had to drop out of the race due to a lawsuit from the Chicago Tribune that forced the unsealing of his divorce records.  Alan Keyes was chosen as the new GOP candidate. Keyes had gained much attention as a conservative firebrand in his unsuccessful presidential campaigns in 1996 and 2000. A Marylander, Keyes had established legal residency in Illinois with the nomination, the only requirement to run for office.

So Obama removed the competition, as he had done in the Ill. state senate race. He doesn’t like to run on his own merit, not surprising since he has none, he prefers an empty track with a token opponent. That way he wins easily. I bet it just infuriated him to have to battle it out in the primary against Hillary. And that fabled email list for fundraising that he promised he would share after the election?? Still in his pocket, and I would bet money that the new email addys, if any, won’t be shared either.

  • ~~Justme~~

AA, while I know very little about these back-door machinations, I know this.  GA either did not know or did not announce CA was a state that bound its pledged delegates; until she was already AT the Convention.  By that time 1) there had been a lengthy battle about whether D officials would even allow HRC’s name to be entered into the ballot roll call vote (this is different from being nominated from the floor); and 2) I had publicized the fact 13 vote binding states existed which required at least a first round vote for HRC by her pledged delegates in those states, including CA.  Plus, as I said, I was in touch with people ON THE FLOOR of the convention, pushing this information.  The way it was told to me, GA was not sure about CA law.  WTF?  (AA, I would like to follow up with you.  Can you please leave an email on my blog?)

  • FranSC

Scott R called into the WH for what??  Are you suggesting Scott R would go along with fake poll numbers?  Scott and most legitimate polsters are more interested in being proved ‘right on the money’ with their polling.

The WH has not liked Scott from the beginning and he knows that better than anyone.   Although worse things have happened since 2008, I do not believe Scott R would agree to anything except what he’s been doing.

  • FranSC

Nobama4me – you are absolutely right!  The republicans did stay home.   Many of Hillary’s supporters either stayed home as well or wrote in Hillary’s name.

Unless you voted for McCain/Palin, you in effect voted for 0bama.  Unfortunately even writing in Hillary’s name was not only a vote for 0bama, it was a wasted vote.   I surely hope those mistakes will not be repeated.  We cannot again afford to use our vote as a protest vote.

Oh, and BTW, KZnextzone – there was *no* organized effort among any women’s groups and that includes PUMAS.  They were everywhere. You seem to be saying you thought women in general were all working toward a shared goal.  Think again!  Women represent 50% + of voters.  But when  abortion is thrown into the mix that 50% splits in half.

  • FranSC

That’s right, karen for Clinton.  I failed to mention the majority of Hillary supporters switched to 0bama in a nano second.  In fact there were enough of them that he *credits* women as one of the top two or three demographics who elected him.

I have two daughters, a sister, her three daughters, and a couple of very close friends who fall into that auspicious group.   It has gotten to the point that the subject of 0bama is a forbidden topic for discussion when we are together.   They will not allow any challenge (probably because they don’t have any real answers.)  That’s why people like them are clueless and continue to support this man.

  • CentralMass

Boehner couldn’t buy a clue. The only plus to the repubs gaining control of one or more houses would be grid-lock.

  • FLDemFem

“We just gotta have a Democrat in the White House!” Hillary Clinton is a Democrat, and has been one longer than Obama has. She is also competent. And at the time, she was polling higher with Republicans than McCain was. So why not nominate her instead of an incompetent, lying, lazy, ignorant man. Oh wait..I know.. he’s blaaaaaack!! Oh, wait..half black, half white. Even if he did put AA on the census form. Stupid reason to put someone in the White House, very stupid reason. Stupid reason, stupid president.

  • FLDemFem

She shouldn’t get to fly back to CA after she loses the Speakership. She should be made to walk, and stop and explain herself to every citizen along the way who wants to know why he or she doesn’t have a job, has lost their home or can’t get health care since the new “health care” law removed the mandate for hospitals to treat everyone who comes in. I want her to explain herself to the people she has wronged by going along with every little jot and tittle of the Obama agenda. I want her to explain to them what documentation she based her certification of Obama as constitutionally qualified to be President. Nancy has a lot of explaining to do, and there will be no better way to do it than to walk home and explain to the people she meets just why she did what she did to them.

  • AbigailAdams

Yes, FLDemFem!  That’s just how nutso the whole premise was.  The New Democratic Coalition painted HRC as too hated by the right, but the truth is she was too hated by the far left.  They smeared her with the taint of “unelectable”, but who was doing most of the damage to her electability?  Not her rightful opposition, but the leftist media.  I’m sure that is why there is a bounty offered for the Journolisters’ emails.  Wouldn’t that just stink to high heaven to read, not the predictable tactics against the Repubs and Palin, but what they may have engineered against Hillary Clinton and her supporters.  I would bet money that Dave Sirota, NPR, and the rest of them openly plotted just as vigorously against her.

  • bamaLV

who knows better about running an “okey doke” than obama?.   his entire life has been an okey doke . funny how he accuses the republicans of everything that he himself is doing.  many of his petty comments and actions are so unpresidential.but then what did we expect from an inexperienced, ego driven, snake oil salesman?

above all we must NEVER again allow one party  to rule. should the repubs. take both houses we can have a dem. president.  (hopefully  there will be a dem. challenger to obama..hillary perhaps?) if the gop gives us some decent challengers to obama..no gingrich, huckabee, romney or palin.  we dont want any already ran and lost candidates .also no senators or congressman. we need someone who has experience running a state. lets look at some good governers. no already entrenced politicians who have baggage or owe favors. we need someone fresh and clean who can show obama up for the deceitful, lying, inexperienced, classless fake that he is.

i fear that now that the obama and his socialist agenda has been exposed for what it really is ,they are going to ramp it up.  they thought they’d have 8 years to do it gradually so we wouldnt notice. but now that most of the country is on to them, they will try to push thru everything they can.  we must stay vigilant.

to all my neighbors in Nevada…sharon angle may not be our first choice to replace reid, but replace him we must!.  angle will only be a junior senator and will have no power whatsoever. therefore she will not be able to do any damage. reid on the other hand has done  more than enough damage and he must go.

AMEN bamaLV….I cannot wait to NOT vote for either of the reids!!
